Meanwhile, your opponents' AI doesn't fare much better, forcing you to offload the ball as quickly as possible, hoping your teammates retrieve it before the opposition seizes the chance.

Scoring is equally flawed, with the best way being an unrealistic method involving executing a delicate lob that barely clears the goalkeeper's head. Bizarrely, the goalkeeper hardly attempts to make a save, leaving you wondering if the laws of physics and soccer logic have been momentarily suspended.

To add to the disappointments, 'David Beckham Soccer' features no bookings and injuries, even if you commit numerous fouls from behind.

In summary, while it's important to consider the hardware limitations of the GBA, the platform boasts sports titles, including soccer games, with solid gameplay and meaningful depth. Therefore, the hardware's constraints may not entirely excuse the shortcomings found in this title.
