i think maybe i wanted to be perceived differently.

the run on sentences sprinkled with shitty little daveisms here and there is a classic bit, don't get me wrong. but i think it's hard to take me seriously as a person. not that i'm that serious a person to begin with but. i think it makes me out to be a lot more childish and carefree la la la skipping through the fields than i am. and it like predisposes people to not take me seriously whenever i genuinely no joke balls to the wall hate whatever bit someone's got going on at the moment.

and the other side of the coin is sometimes people think i'm being serious when i'm just saying shit to fill the silence.

and i think.

maybe it made it harder for me to tell the difference sometimes. maybe it made it harder for me to take myself seriously.

I mentioned this before but reading Davesprite's text is so fucking weird to me because it is Dave! That is Dave! But it's so very clearly a Dave that has dealt with his Friends Dying and timelines and god knows what else.

Like Dave's usual texts are playful, it's sarcastic and clearly trying to be cool and chill but even in moments where Dave is really frustrated it's still somewhat playful and silly. This isn't that though, even the Daveisms feel serious and melancholic, I'm sad, god-
