Tinder dating scam

Well, tinder is on a roll its a great app PERIOD.

And with everything great, comes its own set of shortcomings or rather its own set of blacklistings which are too tempting to ignore and too good to come true. So well I thought it happened to me and I should share it so if it may help someone. 

Well, while swiping I came across a beautiful girl by the name of Lizz Christine and though its unlikely for her to swipe me right I did that nonetheless. Guess what she swiped me right too, well I thought a mistake and she wont message back but guess what SHE DID. 

I was over the moon that a gorgeous babe is with me on Tinder and though I could see her location as local I presumed she may be is either an expat or a traveller but rightaway she gave her no. to connect on Whatsapp, now it starts to turn into something unbelievable right!

So we connect on whatsapp and chat for a while, she keeps sending me her beautiful pics and I am like WOW, head over heels for her. Messages turned into whatsapp calls, but no video calls you see, however her voice though very unlike of a native Brit and more like an East European but in mind I was like who cares :)

Just a week into about 8-9 conversations she asks me if she can visit my country and I am like YES PLEASE, I figured its too good to be true but then she sends me a scan of her Passport to my country and I am like is this my luck working or am I that charming, which ofcourse I am well aware of ;) Anyways couple of days later she sends me her tickets that she is flying to my country in next couple of days and well now that sounds suspicious right, a girl just after 5-6 conversations wants to come to meet my in India, I start digging her name on facebook and google, linkedin, instagram and where not, but guess what she isnt anywhere, now I am cautious on one side of my brain and the other side is planning the whole trip with her, which hotel to stay where all to go and what not, like a dream coming true!

Weekend comes and sends me pictures of her packed bags and she calls me to tell me she is set to fly and well though her tinder shows she is just 10 kms away from me, but foolish me starts to dream more and believes her. She sends me a picture again sitting in the flight and I am jumping with joy. I have a sleepless night wondering how to react when I meet her and dreaming about it.

Comes next morning and am checking and waiting for her to land and comes the first cross, she says she is flying to my country via another city as it was more convenient and I am like Not Really!

Anyways her flight has landed and I get a call from a local no. and a girl claiming to be from the airport customs officer tells me this beautiful lady has come and given in my details that I am her local contact, and well I am bursting with joy inside and then comes the bombshell, the so called officer tells me lady has brought in a cheque of 100k GBP and to register that, there’s a duty to be paid, she has paid half the duty but she is short by about 60K INR and if I can pitch in. All my dreams are shattered rightaway :( I know it now!

Anyways officer says she will send me a customs bank account to do the transfer and I am saying well if its customs I can help her out, though in my mind I know now that this is a con, anyways I receive bank details of some local guy and lady claims its a senior customs officer who will sort it out, well do I still need any more proof. Ofcourse I am not foolish enough to transfer but takes me a day to recover from the shock i.e. Tinder Dating Scam. 

Happening right here, in this internet savvy world how single rich males can be lured and booby trapped to con for money. I must say guys if you are reading this and can relate to it, dont be a fool, if its too good to be true, its False, just dont do any financial transactions unless you’ve met the person.

I was lucky that I was cautious with my money and just lost my emotions, make sure you dont waste either of these on these con artists.
