For you, what do you think are the most overrated and underrated jdramas? what is your favorite female lead in jdramas?

I personally think these are overrated. I just didn't like them like others did or as much as others did: - Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake - Buzzer Beat - Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto - Todome no Kiss - 3 Nen A Gumi - Hajimete Koi wo Shita Hi ni Yomu Hanashi

While these are some underrated hidden gems: - Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru - Konna Koi no Hanashi - Lipstick - Koori no Sekai - Ai wo Kudasai - Nagareboshi - Pan to Soup to Neko Biyori

As for my favorite female leads, I love smart and capable female lead with a lot of quirks, like Haruko Omae in Haken no Hinkaku, Yabushita Yoriko in Date - Koi to wa Donna Mono Kashira, and Hoshino Mitsuko in Chef: Mitsuboshi no Kyushoku; mysterious and enigmatic female lead, like Mita in Kaseifu no Mita and Egi Toko in Koori no Sekai; wounded female lead, like Risa in Nagareboshi and Hasui Shuka in Ai wo Kudasai; female lead who stands up for herself and speaks her mind, like Makino Tsukushi in Hanadan and Wakaba Aikawa in Zenkai Girl; or female lead who is simply relatable, like Amemiya Hotaru in Hotaru no Hikari. They aren't all necessarily my faves, but they are definitely noteworthy.

The Graduate reference!

I don't know how many times I've got tricked by this drama and fell for it! I loved how it was so unexpected 👀I liked all the characters and movie references here. I could see myself (a lite version but still 😅) in both leads. This is gonna be one of my favorites all time. I second that romcom jdramas have still have freedom to be unexpected compared to kdramas and it makes them more funnier.

Date - Koi to wa Donna Mono Kashira, episode 9: I swear, these two are the cutest (not) couple I’ve ever seen.

I was so afraid when they split up, but even as exes their interactions are still adorable. And I love that without realizing it, they’ve already formed a bond where they care for and support each other. Checking up on each other’s progress and giving advice and all, even when they say they wouldn’t keep in contact. They’re already on their way to forming the basis for a good marriage.

UGH I LOVE IT.
