eoghan was a chubby kid, fallen victim to his mother’s baked goods.  of course he got teased for it...until he started beating up the boys who called him out of his name.  the teasing ended rather quickly.  it was the fighting followed by a major growth spurt that evened out his weight.  since his early teen years, he played soccer and kept up at the gym.  he’s no gym rat now, but he keeps himself in shape.

growing up in a mob family, eoghan was dubbed the pretty boy -- sweet but deadly -- once he became involved in his late teens.  he didn’t dress like the rest of his members, opting to blend into the more polite society.  he kept a clean shaven face and wore nice clothes, even to do dirty work. sure, eoghan was still a gangster no matter how he dressed, but it isn’t by choice.

despite his inclination towards racketeering, murder, and other criminal activities, eoghan’s actually a sweetheart.  he only harms those who harm him, his family or his bottom line.  he’s charismatic, optimistic, and thoughtful.  he was a bit of a player in his teens and early twenties, mostly because he thought he was supposed to be.  lately, he’s been looking to settle down but is still very much flirtatious.

of course, he has his days.  he was raised by his father to be violent, to be tough.  he could have a bit of a temper, but he usually isolates himself during times like that.  due to head trauma at the age of 21, eoghan completely lost his hearing in his left ear.  hearing aids don’t help him much, so he sticks to reading lips when necessary or tilting his body towards the right so he can hear someone better.  he doesn’t do well in noisy environments because it’s hard to decipher where sounds are coming from.  he likes it quiet.  sometimes, he gets overwhelmed with his disability and that can cause quite a bit of frustration.

BACKSTORY

though he was born in the u.s., eoghan was raised as an only child to his mother, an artist from new york city, and his father, a lieutenant and soon to be leader in the irish mob, in dublin, ireland.  his father always traveled back and forth between the states and ireland for work, meeting with different factions.  he fell in love with eoghan’s mother and brought her back to ireland to make an honest woman out of her.  she was the sunshine to his grumpy, and eoghan took after both of them that way, mostly his mom.

his spent his childhood with his mother, watching her paint and cook and sew.  he was fascinated with her until his father inevitably dragged him away to do what he deemed more fitting for a young boy -- sports, fishing, hunting.  eoghan took to drawing more than anything else; he had that natural inclination toward creativity.  he still paints today as a solace from all the violence and anxieties of his criminal life.  it’s more of a therapy than a hobby at this point.  he also enjoys baking, oddly enough, and that distracts him when his mind starts racing.  his father doesn’t know about that one.

during a raid from a rival gang, eoghan’s mother was killed in crossfire.  this was the same event that caused his hearing loss.  shortly after the tragedy, eoghan was sent new york to run the faction there.  he’s been doing well for himself there so far, and it was all thanks to his father.  he might have wound up dead trying to avenge his mother in ireland.  he’s managed to keep a cool head and a low profile, but he’s been yearning for a new purpose in life.  will he make it out alive?
