iâm rereading SGUN just to feel something and
when they were younger darry would say the most outlandish things to convince pony to do something and he would say it in the most sarcastic tone but pony always fell for it. and i think sometimes it slips out during/post book.
(i swear this all connects stick with me)
like in SGUN darry takes the gang to get their mumps and measles shot and pony acts a plump fool bc heâs scary as hell. and afterwards ponyâs in a funk and heâs real mad at darry bc his arms aches. darry said something like âitâll hurt less if you move itâ and pony responds âgee darry i didnât think of thatâ and in my head the conversation confuses as follows
darry: idk why youâre mad at me, i ainât the one that stuck you with the needle
pony: you made me get the shot!
darry, a right menace: yeah well, if you didnât you couldâve got the mumps and died. then the court would arrest me and soda would be alone; do you want soda to be alone ponyboy? do you wanna die??
pony, who does not even know what the mumps are: id die đ§đžââď¸
#this is so stupid but#tldr darryâs a chronic liar to ponyboy and ponyboy only#because heâs the youngest and most trusting#and therefore the most gullible#darry got into so much trouble for it when he was younger#the outsiders#darry curtis#ponyboy curtis#sodapop curtis#do i tag the fic#question mark ?#still growinâ up now#iâm gonna do it

Hii, can you make Johnny cade or the gang with reader kinda like Charlotte LA Bouff from princess and the frog because I'm just thinking that it would be so interesting having kind of s/o so spoiled but kind and not a brat too, I love Lottie thoâ¨đ

Gang w/ a Lottie!Reader Ëŕ¨ŕ§âď˝ĄË â
The Outsiders x Fem!Reader
ŕ¨ŕ§ : The Curtis gang with a reader whoâs like Charlotte La Bouff from âPrincess and the Frogâ
A/N : AHHH Iâm sorry this took me so long Iâve been busy w other stuff. Anyways, I always wanted to be Lottie when I was younger 𼲠hopefully I got this close enough to her character also sorry these are shorter than normal <\3
Ëâşâ§âË đ Ëââ§âşË
Darry
ਠHeâs honestly a little jealous of you
ਠHe feels like you have everything he doesnât
ਠThat being said, does NOT stop the man from loving you once he sees how sweet and generous you are
ਠYour personalities are super different tho
ਠYouâre so bubbly and bright and he thinks itâs endearing
ਠYou definitely keep him on his toes
ਠYou also keep him young
ਠWhenever he seems to be struggling more than usual with finances, you swoop in and save the day
ਠHeâs like â??? Honey, I canât take this,â and youâre just like âToo late, Dare-Bear, donât worry about it đâ
ਠWhenever you sleep over you wear a frilly pink sleep mask he has trouble not smiling over
ਠYou love his cooking and are always drooling over it
ਠItâs a habit for you to bring pastries, etc from a bakery on the other side of town whenever you come over
ਠEarlier in the relationship/before you started dating, he knew how spoiled you were and he was like â..how am I supposed to compete with this.â
ਠLuckily you find him extremely muscly, attractive, and sweet so it makes up for his money đđ
ਠEither way, he still buys you whatever he can when he has the spare cash
ਠYou have him wrapped around your finger
Two-Bit
ਠCouldnât hold back his laugh when he saw a childhood picture of you dressed as a princess for Halloween
ਠYou guys honestly go together so well
ਠIf you have the same type of accent Lottie has- even better
ਠThe first thing you said when you met his sister was âWell arenât you as pretty as a peach!â
ਠSafe to say that made him more smitten
ਠYou walk him like a dog itâs so funny
ਠHe doesnât spend as much money on beer anymore cuz he saves a lot up for you
ਠFound a stray kitty on the street and you started squealing when he brought it to you
ਠHe was cheesing from ear to ear
ਠHas tried to get you to kiss a frog before after you told him you always wanted to when you were younger (mwahaha) and you freaked out
ਠThat being said, he picks up random bugs all the time to try and gross you out- which works
ਠYou never hurt them thoughâď¸âď¸ You just run away and start screaming
ਠWhenever he starts insulting people if theyâre mean to you or something, you start dying of laughter which spurrs him on more
Steve
ਠHeâs torn between thinking youâre a brat to also being extremely attracted to you
ਠHe assumes youâre a mean girl who lives off daddyâs money (the second part being lowkey true)
ਠDoesnât stop him from drooling tho
ਠContrary to popular belief, you were actually really nice
ਠLike you came into the DX one day, giving him a huge tip while talking super animatedly and he was just like âAh..â
ਠWhenever he talks about cars you have no clue what heâs talking about
ਠYou have a pretty pink â62 Ferrari 250 GTO and thatâs all you know!!
ਠYou buy new clothes constantly and have lilâ fashion shows for him
ਠâYeahhh, could you jusâ spin around one more time so I can see the back? đâ
ਠââŚ.Steve.â
ਠWhenever nobody else is around (Soda, etc) at the DX, you give him WAY bigger of a tip than normal lmao
ਠBrags about you to Soda all the time
Dallas
ਠHe thought you were so annoying at first Iâm sorry đ
ਠEven with that, he still tried to get in your pants
ਠYou slapped him for it which just made him want you more (heâs on that freak timing)
ਠYou know what you want and heâs honestly really attracted to it
ਠHe ends up spoiling you though, he canât help it when you give him puppy dog eyes and pout your glossy lips
ਠHilariously different
ਠWhenever heâs in your room heâs so out of place
ਠHeâs surrounded by so much pink, stuffed animals, expensive jewelry and clothes, a big canopy bed, a crystal chandelier, etc
ਠHis ego gets boosted when heâs out in public with you
ਠLike heâs with the prettiest and richest girl in town??? Yeahhh heâll never let this go
ਠYou not caring about his/his friends statusâ is really important to him and he appreciates it even though heâll never outright say it
Soda
ਠYou guys both have a big line of people who want you
ਠPower couple!!
ਠYouâre really ditzy- not necessarily stupid, but not all there
ਠHe relates.
ਠYou guys just sit there and look pretty
ਠLike you definitely have won various beauty pageants and have kept all the tiaras and sashes
ਠMakes you try the tiaras on every time he comes over
ਠHe takes you to a drag race or rodeo and youâre like âShew- Soda, Iâm sweatinâ like a sinner in church,â while fanning yourself
ਠProbably because youâre wearing some expensive dress from a boutique in town made with thick material, but heâll never smart off to you by saying that đ¤đ¤
ਠHas a habit of ruining his DX shirt and you always pay for him to get a new one
ਠHe already knew he was attractive, but it was only when you came along and started buttering him up that he started getting giddy about it
ਠHe sucks up so hard to your mom and dad; they love him
Johnny
ਠProbably teased you a bit with Pony before you guys officially met
ਠAfter the initial iffy feeling he had about you wore off, he was head over heels when he knew you better
ਠHe genuinely sees you as a princess
ਠYouâre always wearing some shade of pink and some form of pearls and heâs mesmerized
ਠHe thinks you deserve a lot better since he canât give you much
ਠYou literally couldnât care less though since he treats you so well
ਠHeâll save up random coins off the street if he had to tho
ਠYour house is huge so you let him stay in a spare room which eventually just becomes his own
ਠYour house also did nothing to help his idea of you being a princess since it was way bigger and more extravagant than anything he couldâve imagined
ਠYour cat(s) love him, heâs a little overwhelmed at first but after that youâll always find him with one around/on him
ਠYouâre so comfortable fawning over him constantly and he gets pretty embarrassed about it LMAO
Pony
ਠHe has a thing for pretty rich girls so this is fitting
ਠOnce again, he also assumed you were mean and stuck up
ਠWhen you guys talked for the first time, he was definitely surprised
ਠYou were definitely a bit out of touch with reality, but who cares!!!! You were pretty and nice!!!!
ਠSaw you stand up for one of your greaser friends once and felt his heart skip a beat
ਠHeard through the grapevine (he asked around) that you were enamored with some âpretty boyâ and couldnât stop talking about him and he was like âAwww shucks đâ
ਠHe became extremely confused and denied it when Two and Johnny kept saying it was him after they saw you two interact at school
ਠHe finally picked up on the heavy flirting one day and was like ââŚOHHHHâ
ਠWhenever you get excited about something, he has a hard time understanding you since you start talking so fast and freaking out, but he just watches with a lovesick grin
ਠYour sass put together is on another level
ਠIt scares Darry.
ਠAnd Steve.
ਠBack to the point I made earlier, youâd stand up for him about his status no matter what
ਠSo in love itâs nasty
ਠEveryone in the gang is confused about how he bagged you especially considering heâs the youngest

My outsiders head cannons because idk im bored (warning Iâll prolly misspell things!)
Darry:
1: When he was younger he used to play in the mud with Pony and soda and they would go back into the house and their mom would kick them out and would have to spray them down with a hose
2: (after the book) Darry and pony had gotten into a argument like brothers do and Darry Couldng handle it anymore and broke down in tears in front of both his brothers.
3: he has nightmares sometimes and they cause him to wake up in a panic and he would always have to check up on pony and soda to make sure they were okay
4: idk why some people like make him seem like a Facebook mom who likes minion memes and dad jokes. HES BARELY 20 YEARS OLD. He would probably say the most unfiltered ass shit in a group chat đ
5: he gets those random urges to like kick or playfully hit pony or soda (I do that đŁ)
6: ate rotten food once and work and got sick and his boss had to drive the boy home since he was so sick
7: will probably work himself till he makes himself sick like he Wont stop himself till someone stops him
8: hates seeming like a parent more then a older brother sometimes when the boys need reminders that Darry is still their brother Darry will start a game of tag and all the brothers will run around the house. (When they did that when their parents were alive they knocked down a special vase and they all got whooped)
9 : likes cats. He has a stray cat at work that he shares his lunch with he named it âkitty catâ sooooo creative righttt
10: doesnât like ham (idk that just randomly appeared in my mind)

Soda

4: makes Radom sounds like with his mouth and itâs makes the others tweak
5: gets dates mixed up really easily
6: after Darry slapped pony, soda in a fit of like idk rage punched Darry square in the face.
7: WILL forget to clean under his fingernails.
8: Darry ate his food once and soda ignored him for the rest of the night. Anytime Darry Tried to talk to him soda would give him a snooty face and would cross his arms and say âmhmpâ
9: cries when he watches dog movies (like all dogs go to heaven or a dogs purpose or a dogs way home)
10: has the most NASTIEST converse and refuses to clean them
Ponyboy
1: can only cook eggs he cannot cook anything else đ
2: loves chocolate milk (I think thatâs in the book)
3: tried Darryâs coffee once and almost threw up since it was so bitter
4: likes to race Darry since they were both in sports that involved a lot of running
5: stole one of Darryâs old sweatshirts and REFUSES to give it back. He loves that sweatshirt itâs like 2 sizes to big for him
6: (after the book) had a huge growth spurt after the book like it wasnât even funnyđ
7: since Darry and soda are such deep sleepers pony once drew like a ârocketshipâ and all those other things teenage boys draw he drew it on his brothers facesđŁ

Could we maybe get some hurt/comfort DarryxPaul? If its not too much trouble.
no trouble at all, anon !!! i've actually never written parry before so forgive me if it's not the best you've ever read, but i had sooooo much fun writing abt them <33
alsoooo i threw in queen penny holden bc i love her lol but sheâs not that significant lol
hope this is okayđЎ
paul could hear someone shouting at his teammate who had smashed into him, but at the moment all he could think about was the fact that he was trying to draw in a breath and it wasnât working.
there were other players on the ground around him, but they were all moving around easily and standing back up. distantly, paul knew to be grateful that at least they were okay. for him, though, pulling in air felt like trying to breathe through a straw with holes poked in it.
âholden?â someone shouted, he couldnât even pick out who the voice belonged to, he was really only capable of being grateful that anyone had noticed as his arms flailed frantically, trying to catch anyoneâs attention.
all too quickly, someone had pulled off his helmet and cradled his head, much gentler than he would have expected given the company he was in, and another face was swimming above his.
if it had been anyone else, he wouldnât have been able to pick out who it was, but even through his half-conscious haze, he knew the blue-green eyes and dark hair, knew the way darry grabbed his face and propped him up with his knee.
âhe canât breathe!â darry roared.
there was so much noiseâŚ
paul could feel something in his chest loosening, his breath getting slower and his mind going blissfully quiet. his eyes were closing, darryâs voice falling further and further away.
âhey, hey, no!â darry sounded scared.. when darry was scared he sounded so much younger. âi know it hurts, but i need you to hang in there. just a few seconds okay? stay with me, paul, câmon..â
god, he was tired.
the next thing paul felt was cold air shooting into his mouth and nose, an oxygen mask strapped over his face. he jolted, a cough erupting from somewhere deep within his chest. he grabbed at the mask, starting to sit up and thrash around.
âhey, stop!â someone was saying, laying a gentle hand on paulâs shoulders. âitâs okay, just calm down⌠breathe.â
paul took a moment to properly breathe. his lungs seemed to be working alright again, despite a tightness in his chest and a bone-deep ache in his back. he held still for a moment, and that moment was long enogh for whoever was sitting with him to guide him back down.
he started to look around and take in where he was. from what he could tell, he was on the couch in coachâs office, there was a cheap blanket thrown over him, and when he looked up, darry was sitting in front of him.
paul tried to say something, he reached up to pull the mask off, but darry grabbed his hand gently and set it back in his lap, keeping a hold on it.
âdonât touch the mask, honey, coach put you on a breathing treatment, itâs helping,â darry soothed, running his other hand through paulâs curls.
paulâs eyes darted around the room as he realized what darry was doing, the physicality of the contact.
darry seemed to pick up on what he was worried about, âi locked the door, itâs okay, nobodyâs coming in.â
he picked up paulâs hand and checked the monitor that was clipped to his finger and sighed, âsomeone knocked the wind out of you pretty good. i think before today you probably would have been fine, but you probably had some type of asthma attack. i got coach and the trainer to bring you in here and give you a treatment.â
paul nodded towards darry wordlessly, his brows furrowed in confusion.
âoh,â darry nodded. âsoda gets these all the time, i told them i know what iâm doinâ and they seemed like they wanted to get back to practice, so itâs just you and me for now.â
darry smiled, something sad behind his eyes, âyou done scared the daylights out of me, though, you idiot. what am i gonna do without my best receiver?â
paul blinked out a tear, not realizing how readily it had come. darry swiped a thumb under his eye, picking up the tear quickly before leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his forehead.
they sat quietly until the breathing treatment finished a few minutes later. darry checked the monitor again, and when he seemed satisfied, he helped paul take the mask off.
âyou feeling better?â darry asked.
paul took an experimental breath, and nodded, âdid they⌠did you⌠my parents?â
darry bit the inside of his cheek, âthey called, i guess they werenât able to get ahold of them⌠pennyâs coming to get you.â
âright,â paul squirmed uncomfortably in the blanket, not meeting darryâs eye.
the silence between them was tense and horrible until darry cleared his throat and said, âwe should get your stuff together, sheâll probably be here soon.â
paul nodded, happy for the change of subject. he pushed the blanket off his legs and swiveled upright, only beginning to realize that all of his padding had been taken off, along with his jersey. he stood up slowly, trying to ignore the fact that darry was hovering as if paul would topple over at any second.
âi got the wind knocked out of me, i can walk,â paul huffed, but just that small exertion of breath caused stars to dance in his vision, and he decided against complaining that darry was sticking so close.
they pushed the locker room door open, relieved that it was still empty, the rest of the team out finishing their practice. paul pulled off his sweaty undershirt, sitting down and starting to untie his cleats. he blinked the dots flashing around his vision away before darry was by his side, helping him out of his shoes and into his sweats. his touch was soft and gentle, so different from the harshness paul was so used to. a car horn sounded outside as darry was sat next to paul, his clothes changed and his equipment resting at their feet.
darry sighed, "that's probably penny."
paul tried to stand up, bracing himself against the lockers, but stumbled. for a moment he thought he might actually fall before darry caught him around the waist and hoisted him into a piggyback, hooking paul's equipment bag around his shoulder.
"you know," darry groaned as he started to walk. "this is easier to do with ponyboy."
"yeah, that's because he's a scrawny 12-year-old," paul laughed, wrapping his arms happily around darry's neck and holding on tight with his legs.
outside, the white t-bird was parked along the sidewalk, and penny had the windows rolled down, the beatles playing from within. she got out of the car as they drew closer, grabbing the bag from darry and tossing it into the back seat.
"you okay, kiddo?" she asked gently, pressing the back of her hand to paul's forehead.
he nodded mutely, hopping off of darry and opening up the passenger side door. darry folded his arms over the side of the window as penny walked around the car and got back in. paul leaned his head against darry's arms and yawned, exhaustion hitting him like a truck.
"you take good care of him?" penny asked darry, ruffling her brother's hair.
"yeah, he's alright," darry nodded, pressing a kiss to paul's forehead. "you got it from here? i can swing by once practice is over."
"i got it," penny nodded.
paul picked his head up and looked up at darry, "you should come anyways, though."
"oh yeah?" darry asked, a smile spreading across his face, to which paul nodded, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. darry pressed a quick kiss to paul's lips, "you got it, pretty boy."

â CINNAMON GIRL áś âąâżáľËĄáľ

written by mina leigh ŕ¨ŕ§ , the greases đ f! reader | wc 1000
summary. features the greasers talking amongst themselves about y/n, how sheâs always been a constant presence in their lives, and what she means to them. a few mentions of matteo and charlie, her younger brothers, but the main focus is on y/nâs role in the greaser family.
labels. lighthearted tone, mentions of family and friendship, and reflections on y/nâs impact on each characterâs life.
â§âË ŕ¨ŕ§ mina speaks. chapter 8! the last one, this was so much fun to recreate and make it better for my following. this might me the last thing i write for a while. school started back up so ill be mia for a bit. feel free to send requests âĄ
darry
âyou know, i always figured y/n would end up like one of those people who quietly fades into the background. but somehow, sheâs always there when we need her, without even trying.â
soda nodded in agreement. âyeah, like when things get rough and everyone else is losing their heads, she just ⌠takes over without making a big deal about it.â
ponyboy
âshe never really asks for anything. she just does what she has to do, and everything feels a little less heavy. i think thatâs what gets me the most. she doesnât need anyoneâs validation to do whatâs right, and thatâs ⌠rare.â
johnny
âyeah, itâs like she doesnât mind putting herself last as long as everyone else is okay. sheâs ⌠i donât know, the kind of person who makes you want to be better just by being around her.â
two-bit
âsheâs the best at making people laugh when they need it most. i mean, iâm no slouch myself, but y/n? sheâs got that knack for knowing when to say something and when to just listen. itâs like she gets us, even when weâre acting like idiots.â
steve
âi donât get how she does it. iâve seen people go through a lot, but y/n â she never shows the weight of it. itâs like sheâs got this inner strength, yâknow? she keeps everything together without even breaking a sweat. and itâs not just about her being the âmomâ of the group, either. she genuinely cares, and i think thatâs what makes her so different.â
darry
âyeah. sheâs a lot stronger than people give her credit for. i think she has to be. raising her brothers, keeping everyone else in line, and still somehow managing to make us all feel like we matter ⌠she does it all.â
ponyboy
âsheâs also one of the only people who can get through to me when iâm being⌠well, me. when i get caught up in my own head, she just knows how to make me talk about it. and itâs not even in a way that feels forced. she just knows how to make me feel heard.â
two-bit
âyeah, sheâs got this way of making you feel like you matter, when youâre at your worst. i mean, iâve definitely had my fair share of screw-ups, but every time she talks to me, itâs like iâm not just the guy who tells bad jokes. iâm someone she actually cares about.â
steve
âsheâs also the only person who can keep soda in check. not that sodaâs bad or anything, but y/n just⌠knows how to get through to him. she makes him feel like heâs got this huge weight on his shoulders, but at the same time, sheâs always there to remind him itâs okay to relax sometimes.â
johnny
âi think thatâs what i like most about her â how she makes everyone feel like they belong. even if we mess up, she doesnât let us feel like weâre failures. iâve never felt judged by her. she just accepts us, flaws and all.â
darry
âi remember when she first started hanging around with us. it was just me, soda, and ponyboy, and we had our own way of doing things. then y/n showed up, and she ⌠just fit. like she was always supposed to be here. her brothers, matteo and charlie, are a handful, but sheâs always got them under control. itâs like sheâs got this natural way with kids.â
soda
âyeah, sheâs like a big sister to us, too. i donât know how she does it, but sheâs always there, always checking in, making sure weâre not getting into too much trouble. and if we do, sheâs the one to give us that disappointed look that makes you feel like youâre five years old again.â
two-bit
âthatâs the thing, though. sheâs not just a second mom to us. sheâs our friend. someone we can go to when we need to talk, or just ⌠chill, yâknow? sheâs got this balance that none of us have. sheâs one of us, but sheâs also someone we can look up to.â
johnny
âand sheâs always the one who puts everyone else before herself. iâve seen her stay up late helping matteo with his homework or comforting charlie when heâs had a bad day. i donât know how she does it, but sheâs always there for us.â
steve
âsheâs a fighter, too. i donât think anyoneâs seen it, but i have. when things get tough, she doesnât back down. not for a second. i think thatâs why i trust her so much. when y/n says sheâs got your back, she really means it.â
darry
âyou know, i think thatâs why we all stick together. y/n doesnât just bring people together, she makes us want to be better. i donât know how, but she does.â
two-bit
âyeah. itâs like, without her, none of us would be the same. we wouldnât be as tight-knit, as loyal to each other. we wouldnât be a family.â
soda
ây/nâs the glue. sheâs the one who holds all of us together, and we wouldnât have it any other way.â

any hcs abt soda/darry and how they feel abt PaperCut/Curly ?
YKNOW WHAT I COULD TALK ABOUT THIS FOR A GOOD LONG WHILE IM TOTALLY EXPLAINING THIS ONE I HAVE A LOT TO SAYâđ˝
sodas thoughts on em
i said it before and ill say it again, soda doesnt HATE curly, i truly donât think he does, it takes a lot to make a guy like soda hate someone, however i donât think he likes curly either, and that truly ONLY comes from the fact that curlys hanging out w pony. to say soda woukd hate curly feels like a huge mischaracterization that i see in fics and DONT GET ME WRONG its interesting, but it gets to a point where it gets a lillllll boring???? cause ikkk if curly was just some regular greaser who wasnât close to them, i donât think he would rlly care much for what he was doing. u gotta remember that he lets pony hang out w DALLAS here and there, and iâm willing to bet that itâs bc he knows pony doesnât look up to him. but w curly, itâs obvious pony LIKES being around him and look it doesnât take a rocket scientist to see that them being around each other is a literal danger, heâs protective of pony as is, to have some HOODLUM!! around pony scares him even more so bc theyâre around the same age and pony technically doesnât have anyone whoâs his age so he knows ponyâs naturally seeking that out. thereâs only so much the gang can rlly do for pony!!
and i will die on the hill that as much as he âslightly doesnt likeâ curly, he still does care for him!! theres a cap on how little he doesnt bc he knows that at the end of the day, curlys also a troubled kid looking for connections. if things were different, i dont think soda would rlly mind them being together cause he knows they make each other happy, and thats all he could rlly want.
darrys thoughts on em
dare i say,,,i dont think darry would gaf AS MUCH as ppl say
i dont think darry is HOVERING over them wondering what theyre doing 24/7, i say this bc again, they let pony hang w dally sometimes, but then even without dally being there, if he didnt exist, they STILL wouldnt care bc EVERYONE around town acts the way curly does. they dont have the biggest moral high ground bc theyre pretty desensitized to what crimes ppl commit. add on the fact that darry got bills to pay and yea i cant see him putting all his energy into helicopter parenting pony like that.
only time he ever would b like that is around the time he knows the social worker is gonna visit, where darrys more stressed and wants everything to go smoothly, so pony is t taken away from him, i dont think u can rlly blame him for thatđ
AND YKNOW WHAT??? i think darry cares more for papercut/curly than soda does partially bc he sees himself in curly (and pony) when he was younger!! carefree, just doing anything they wanted, and yes times have changed, that doesnt mean he wants to keep pony on a tight leash. its usually darry who has to pull soda back and just b like âlet it goâ, soda cant fathom it and no amount of explaining could rly make him understand, over the years hes just gonna have to see it for himself

I think that Sodapop and Darry wouldn't like Ponyboy's relationship with Curly, but idk if they would completely express those feelings to him until after he and Curly have the big argument. Because it happens post canon, and at first I think that they're both very conscious about how hard this year has been for Ponyboy since he watched 3 people die in front of him, his concussion, and they're all still grieving the death of their parents.
They try to be happy for him because he seems happy hanging out with Curly, he's leaving the house for other things outside for school, and he's having fun. But then Ponyboy seems heartbroken because he thinks he ruined things with Curly and that he never deserved him, because maybe Curly was right and he did control, so he's been teary eyed and contemplating so much for the whole week. And I think that upsets Darry and Sodapop, even when Ponyboy's moved past it, they're still angry for him if that makes sense
I fear Darry and Soda are literally me in the sense that I hold grudges FOR people.
Anyways I think you're absolutely right. Darry and Soda knew that Pony was always close with Curly, even when they were younger, and they didn't really like them being friends then either.
For Darry, he's less worried about Pony being in a relationship and more about it being with Curly. He's worried that Curly's going to drag him into something illegal and get him physically hurt/in trouble. Of course he's worried about Pony being hurt emotionally, but his main concern is keeping his brothers together and alive. But when Pony is really upset the week or so of the fight, Darry's trying really hard to be there and available for Pony. Pony doesn't really want to talk though so Darry's just kind of lost on what to do. After Pony and Curly make up, Darry's happy that Pony's happy, but he's a little bit more cautious about him.
And for Soda, he's worried about Pony being heartbroken. He had his own heartbroken because of Sandy, and he didn't want that for his little brother. Pony was always more sensitive, and wore his emotions on his sleeve more often. But then Johnny and Dally died and he was so closed off that it hurt. And then he got closer with Curly and he got better, happier, and Soda was happy for him. But he was also worried. Since Pony felt so much, more than a normal person, Soda was worried that Curly wouldn't be used to Pony and would freak out and break his heart. And that's kind of what happened during their fight. But they fixed it and Pony said that everything was fine when Soda asked, so he dropped the topic. But that didn't stop him from glaring at Curly when he was at the house or making sure that whenever Pony was upset that it wasn't Curly's fault.
So yeah, Darry and Soda might not be the fondest of Curly, but Pony likes him so they'll at least be civil with him. (Most of the time.)

Steve Headcanons: (views of the gang)
I feel like Steve would relate to Johnny a lot in the home life sense because theyâre both from bad homes. Sure they probably donât hang out as much as him and Dallas or him and Pony but they couldâve probably had good conversations especially about their parents and what home is like. Also I feel like Steve would talk about cars to Johnny, and Johnny would actually be pretty interested to know about it. He also seen him as a little brother often wanting to get him out of his home life.
Steve Dosent hate ponyboy, yes he sees him as a tag along a lot and pokes fun at him but he would actually not like HATE him. He often wonders and is interested about pony but would never admit it because he knows Pony Doesnât like him. But he sees him in sorta an older brother and annoying little sibling sort a view. He sometimes sees Pony reading and wonders what the books about. Besides him bullying Pony once in a while he can have an actual conversation with him, but ponyâs usually never too interested in talking to Steve that much which he understands.
He sees Pepsi cola as his bestest friend of course thatâs obvious. But sometimes he compares himself to soda since theyâre complete opposites. Itâs never affected their friendship but sometimes makes him a bit sad. He loves soda though and they both have matching bracelets in their rooms they made for eachother when they were younger. They donât wear them so they look more tuff but kept them.
He sees Two-Bit like a good friend also. He thinks heâs funny sometimes and they yap about Mickey and cars to each other. But also sometimes Two-Bit is a surprisingly good comforter seeing as how he Dosent like serious situations itâs hard to believe. They drink together often and mess with girls, also often stealing together when theyâre out.
He likes Darry a lot, he sees him as an older brother figure or like a father figure sorta since he feeds him, and lends him a place to stay. He sees all of the Curtis brothers as siblings or very good friends. Darry usually has late night talks with him if theyâre both up at the Curtis house late. Darry also cares for him and buys him stuff if he needs it. He sometimes imagines where heâd be if Darry never was there to help him out.
Heâs good friends with Dallas theyâre really good friends. After he died Steve was really affected and became very depressed in a way. Him and Dallas always cracked jokes or got into trouble when they were together. He has a lot of memories that he looks back on with Dallas that make him laugh.

Iâve been at a family gathering all day so here are some hcs for a Curtis family gathering
Darry
As the eldest grandchild he was somewhat treated like an adult even before his parents died. But it balanced out by the fact that the entire family worshipped him just for existing. Heâs his grandmaâs favorite and she makes it VERY obvious.
After his parents died he completely stopped being seen as one of the kids/grandkids. He started helping at the grill and chatting with the other adults. It wasnât the worst thing over because he was outgrowing a lot of the kids anyways, but it was still SO disorienting for him the first couple times.Â
Every so often heâll say something and the whole family will be forced to remember heâs still barely an adult. And then theyâll have to ponder that for a moment and it kinda kills the mood
One time he was offered a beer and reminded everyone he was underage. That one fucked with them for a while.
All the kids beg Darry to pick them up, carry them around, all that stuff. And he definitely does it every time. They get so pissed when he says heâs tired and stops. Like demon screeching âNOâ
The big thing Darry doesnât like about the gatherings is that everyone is trying SO hard to avoid mention anything about the Curtis parentâs deaths. To the point that itâs painfully obvious and very uncomfortable for Darry.
Thereâs this one asshole uncle and one time he started insulting Sodaâs intelligence in front of Darry (Soda was outside) and the two almost fought. The uncle got kicked out after that
He makes an absolutely amazing burger (he learned from his dad)
Sodapop
The poor boy isnât really anyoneâs favorite. They all like him but donât take as much pride in him as his brothers, heâs really overlooked.
The exception to this is uncle on his dadâs side, he sees himself a lot in Soda and dotes on him. Theyâre super close and the uncle always slips him five dollars to buy himself something nice
The younger kids definitely absolutely adore them. He loves just roughhousing with them and chasing them around the yard. Most of them call him their favorite cousin and it goes straight to his ego.
One of the kids hurts inevitably themselves and cries every time. Soda always will bundle them into his arms and clean them up before he can get in trouble lol. Most of the time only Ponyboy finds out and my boy isnât a snitch.Â
One of the kids just goes home with a big scrape and their parents are like âwhere did this come from-â but nobody has put two and two together yet
At the first gathering after their parents died he broke down sobbing halfway through. Darry found him crying in their moms old bedroom. They went home after that and it turns out they all had wanted to leave.
For extra spice, the reason he started crying is because a lot of those kids werenât old enough to understand the concept of death and kept asking him where their aunt and uncle were
Him and Ponyboy will have heavy gossip sessions in their room once they get home. Darry knows about them and will sometimes join if the tea is really hot.
Ponyboy
Heâs their pride and joy. Heâs so insanely spoiled and gets basically whatever he wants. Once it became clear college wasnât happening for Darry everybody was all over him.
Being a fourteen year old he does NOT enjoy these gatherings. He usually just either sits in the corner with a book or hangs out with the only other cousin his age.
He sometimes likes watching Soda play with the kids because of how happy he looks. However he himself avoids those kids at all costs.
Back to the gossip sessions, Ponyboy ends up with so much knowledge because everyone assumes he isnât listening or forgets heâs there. This dude knows everything.
He finds their doting so annoying and is like âleave me aloneâ (he grows out of this ofc, 14 year olds just kinda suck lol)
When he gets older he joins the adults a lot, still not a fan of the kids

Asking as the only Paul fan ever (/silly) can I hear,,, more ab your rendition of him.
Of course!
Unfortunately, as Iâm sure you know as a fellow Paul diehard, not much is known about him :((
So, hereâs my info that I hc him with, and how I see him!!
Appearance: as youâve seen from my drawings, I hc him with curly blonde hair, a bulky build (little less muscular than Darry!), and green eyes. He has a distinct mole under his right eye! (Our left) and a little tooth gap.
Personality: heâs very loud and outgoing in public, trying to conform to the social standards he believes he is supposed to. In private, heâs quiet and sweet, always joking around and laughing. You can almost always catch him with a smile on his face.
I believe he met Darry in a similar manner that Steve and Soda did. Kindergarten roles around, theyâre in the same class, except thereâs that distance between them. Darry was by himself because he was a greaser, he was smart for his age, too. Paul sat beside him because he liked his little kid jersey.
They loved talking about football. All day every day at school, they definitely got in trouble a few times for it. I like to think, too, that Darryâs parents didnât get married until Darry was born. Paul came, and was their flower boy :))
When he was youngerâhis tooth got knocked out while playing tackle football with his friends! His tooth came back in crooked, so thatâs why he has the tooth gap.
Him and Darry would always go to each others houses and watch football on TV (when Darryâs dad wasnât hogging it)
Paul would hang out with Darryâs friends too, and his brothers. He loved the gang, and enjoyed their company.
Onto the sadder stuff :((
Paul has religious trauma from his dad. Really badly. He loved Darry, but he would never admit it. I hc him as pan, but obviously he says heâs straight.
As the years went on; Paul realized how socially unacceptable their friendship was. He started coming over in secret, only hanging out with him during school hours when they had football, not standing up for him anymore when the other football players would say something about him being a âgreaseâ and a âhoodlumââit broke Darrel.
The fall out:
One day, later on in their senior year, Paul is hanging out with Darry. Theyâre at Darryâs house, on his bed just⌠talking. After a bit of silence, Darry looks over to Paul, a serious expression on his face.
â⌠Iâm not going to college, Paul.â
That⌠broke Paul. They were supposed to be best friends forever, always together, go through college together, play on the same football team professionally, get the same jobâPaul said some hurtful stuff.
âI knew it! Youâre just like all of them, all the others-â âWhatâs do you mean by others Paul?â âLike all the other filthy greasers!â
They fought, Ponyboy and soda broke it up, and Mrs Curtis made Paul leave.
They didnât talk after that.
Paul went to the Curtis parents funeral. They were like a second set of parents to him. He loved them, but he didnât let anyone know he was there. He stayed far away in the back. He waited until everyone left to say his condolences. He left a present on the Curtis porch that night as a present for Darry, a sorry for not being there. The Curtis parents died on Darryâs birthday and maybeâjust maybe, if he was there?⌠theyâd be ok.
He always felt bad. He was never the same.
As you can see from my art of him, he had some bad habits when he was younger as well.
If youâve got any further questions, lmk!

Two-Bits Sister Head Canon's
Hello! I've decided to make this into a series because I'm so interested about the girls from the Outsiders so much and I'm so sad we don't get to know to know much more about them. I will link that masterlist here and I'll probably update it once a week. It will be mostly Head Canons and One-Shots of all the different girls.
This is the first installment! It's about Two-Bits sister because that's what won the poll. Bear with me, I don't know what of this is actually canon or not but we're doing our best! More under the cut!
Her name is Susan Eloise Mathews but everyone calls her Susie for short.Â
Sheâs in 8th grade. A year younger than Ponyboy in school and age.Â
Curly red haired with freckles and pale skin.Â
Susie was made fun of a lot for her red hair in school but she learned to deflect in the same way her brother does. Jokes.Â
Her sense of humor takes on a more self-deprecating shape because of this.Â
Her father abandoning the family also had a big play in the style of jokes and wisecracks she adopts. After he left, she wondered for a long time if it had something to do with her or if it was her fault.Â
When he left, Susie found out through a note from her mother who had just left for work.. She was sitting on the back porch crying when Two-Bit found her. He just held her and told her everything was going to be okay because she had him.Â
She believed him but a secret part of her was worried that Two-Bit thought it was her fault that their dad left in the first place.Â
Susie is the only one who doesnât call Two-Bit by his nickname consistently. She is always calling him Keith, because thatâs what she grew up calling him and she knows it annoys him.Â
Two-Bit has also made many promises to her to stop drinking because their dad used to drink. He never has kept that promise.Â
Susie often worries that Two-Bit will end up like her dad, but she never says it.Â
Susie is also pretty smart in school, she only really gets in trouble for disrupting the class, being a smart-ass, passing notes, and gossiping. Â
She likes to read. After her dad left, Ponyboy let her borrow a lot of books to try and make her feel better.Â
Susie talks a lot. She talks very loud and tends to ramble.
Darry has a soft spot for her for some reason, but you know none of the gang would let anything happen to her.Â
Speaking of which, one time this boy at the drive-in snapped her training bra and Two-Bit and Steve beat him up so bad he couldnât walk straight for a week.Â
When Pony and Johnny went to Windrixville, Two-Bit would come home really drunk and crying and that scared her something awful.Â
Sheâd never seen Two-Bit so regretful and scared for something. She tried her best to get him out of it and offered to go to Texas with him to search.Â
She cried after Dally and Johnny's funerals when she was alone. She didnât cry during it because she didnât feel like she got to. Two-Bit and Pony were having such a hard time she didnât want to say anything.
She tried her best to help Two-Bit and even visited Pony a little when he was sick. She brought him some new books and stayed by his bedside for a couple hours.Â

Curly Shepard, a known prostitute around Tulsa. And Ponyboy Curtis, the one who fell for him.
tags: aged-up characters, angst, romance, family issues warnings: smut, prostitution, drug use and pejorative speech word count: 3.7k ao3 link: here A/N: my song suggestion would be anything heartbreaking or tragic by LDR ofc
pics from pinterest

When Sandra Shepard, mother of three children, went missing on a random Sunday evening, Shepards went silent. Darrel Curtis, naturally preoccupied with everyone, just like his younger brother Sodapop, tried talking it out with Tim, forcing him to go to the police.Â
Three years later, they still didnât know what happened to her. She was an alcoholic and used to disappear from time to time, so the cops didnât give it much thought, leaving Tim, Curly, and Angela on their own. They had to survive. Do something to make ends meet. And it wasnât easy to contribute to the family. Especially for Curly Shepard.
It was another summer without Johnny and Dallas by Ponyboyâs side. A few years flew by, and he found new friends, got accepted to college, and impatiently waited for the next chapter in his life. Nothing was holding him back. Or at least he thought so.Â
He didnât remember when he first started seeing Curly downtown, erratically walking with a girl under his arm, but mainly with guys Ponyboy had never seen before. These men sometimes looked to be the same age as Curly, but often they were quite older. He had never seen Curly leave off alone. As Darry used to tell him - whatever that hoodlum had become, it was none of his business. Shepards were trouble. As soon as Angela hit the majority, she got married off to some idiot, and Tim was planning on doing some paperwork to discuss the heritage but was quickly troubled by his motherâs missing status. He could barely afford to live in that house.
Pony didnât know how to approach his old friend at first. Curly dropped out of school a while ago, even if he had only a year left. And now Pony saw him every day standing by the liquor store, smoking a cigarette, his eyes constantly drifting from left to right, waiting for someone, maybe even anyone. Pony didnât understand at first what was happening to him. He wanted to come up to Curly and have some kind of small talk, but his legs wouldnât walk, and his tongue stood still. He never felt anything like that. Never.
Curly didnât lose his charm over the years. Yes, he seemed a little worn out, but his clothes were always tight and neat, showing off his slim, perfect figure. His curly hair was usually slightly greased, and his teeth were nicely polished. Pony saw them shine from a mile away whenever a stranger passed by, and it always seemed to Pony that Curly was trying hard to impress all of the mystery men. And all of it wasnât for Ponyboy Curtis.
Curlyâs eyes blazed with desire and wildness each time heâd notice Curtis stare at him bluntly, secretly biting his tongue, not daring to come and say hello. He noticed him right away - Shepard learned to read through people too, and Ponyboy surely wasnât there just to greet him and talk about the good old times. No, Curtis wanted more than that. Curly watched him come out of the library at about six, his school bag hanging from his shoulder, his hair all ruffled, and his shirt halfway unbuttoned. He was growing to be a gorgeous young man, soon going off to college. And Curly would remain standing there, in the corner of the street, waiting for his regulars to show up.
There was something about Curly Shepard that Pony tried hard to figure out but couldnât.
At first, Pony thought Curly was dealing. Because who didnât? And then why would he wait for all of these random people? There was no other possible answer for Ponyboy Curtis.
That was until Two-Bit came by on a Saturday evening and started debriefing a few rumors going around the town. Steve Randle sat in the recliner, clearly a bit drunk, and was giving his honest opinion about Angelaâs marriage which none of them was invited to.
âShe married that dork last week,â Steve finally laid off his beer, keeping his eyes closed for a second, âShepard didnât even call Darry. Hell, he probably wasnât even there.âÂ
âYeah,â Two-Bit carried on, pinching the hole in his sock, as if he could magically fix it with his touch, âI saw Curly downtown the day Angela was tying the knot. It surely didnât occur to him at all.âÂ
âCurly Shepard,â Steve stretched out his arms, almost spilling his beer, âThat manwhoreâŚâÂ
Pony almost choked on his saliva when he heard it. His body began to tremble, and his cheeks grew slightly pink, and then he knew, he knew it mustâve been true. But he still couldnât stop waiting until the next day heâd come to the library and see him in the corner of the street. And he couldnât stop gazing at him. He learned all of the unfamiliar faces, their walk, their gestures. He couldnât believe it to be true, no, Curly couldnât have been doing it. Only women did. Not Curly Shepard.Â
But then it did seem that way. He surely mustâve smelled good, as Ponyboy often imagined it, and wore the freshest clothes. He never had anything else with him, not even a bag, only his jacket in the evenings, where he shoved his masculine hands, protecting them from the cold breeze. Pony was the last one to get out of the library every single time he went there. He got used to seeing the same old lady surveilling the books, and they even ended up forming some kind of friendship. The lady told him about an available summer job, and Pony started seriously considering it. Yes, Pony went to the library even during summer, but less than in spring. At first, it wasnât for Curly but for school, then for his obsession with English and American literature, but quickly Shepard did become his main intention. He came during the weekdays, but then mostly on Friday and Saturday evenings too.Â
It was becoming a mania. Pony ran his hands through his hair, adjusted his collar, put on some cologne, and was convinced that Curly was going to come and finally talk to him. They saw each other every single fucking time, but no one made the first step. And thatâs what made it so obvious and irremediable - Curly Shepard and Ponyboy Curtis desired to get closer with each other.Â
Pony wasnât capable of stopping going to that damned library, on the contrary by the beginning of August he went there almost every day. But then, suddenly, Curly wasnât in the corner of the street anymore. Pony panicked that day, and went to sit by the window, peeking through the glass, as if was tracking him down. He didnât come. The next day he wasnât there either.Â
It finally happened at the end of August. Something clicked in Ponyâs head, something terrible and tormenting and Pony got frightened by one simple thought - what if Curly had left?
What if someone kidnapped him? What if he was found lifeless on the floor? What if Pony would never see him again? What if he lost his chance?
And then Steve and Two-Bit werenât helping Pony at all. They often talked about Shepards, especially about their money problems. But he never dared to participate in their talk. So one day Ponyboy swallowed all of his pride and decided to ask Darry about them.Â
âDar, how is Tim doing?âÂ
âNot that good,â Darryâs lips formed a straight line, âHeâs always talking about selling the house these days since heâs the only one living in it. But I donât think he will.âÂ
Darry continued talking about heritage, how Tim would mostly spend all of the money in a casino the following day heâd sign the papers, and how it was probably impossible anyway, but Pony had no interest in his talk. He wanted to know where Curly lived. Was it right there next to the liquor store? And why wouldnât he be living with Tim anymore?
When Pony sprinted to the library that same evening, he quickly realized how dear Curly was to him. Their childhood memories reappeared, and Pony could swear that he felt an aching sensation up in his gut. And then he was mad. Angry with Shepard for choosing to live like that. Angry that he saw other men. Disappointed in him.Â
He intended to address him and give him a piece of his mind. That it was wrong and he shouldnât have been giving his body away to make a living out of it. Anything, but this.Â
Curly was there, wearing a white tank top, showing off his broad tanned shoulders, smoking another cigarette, making sure not to stain his clothes. There was a tad of surprise in his dimmed eyes, and he quickly adjusted his posture when he saw Ponyboy running to him.Â
âSomethingâs wrong, Curtis?â Curly frowned his eyebrows, scanning Ponyboy from head to toe. Pony just stood there, trying to catch his breath.Â
âYou know,â Curly looked left and right, searching the road, âYou shouldnât be out here so late, all by yourself.â
âYouâre here right?â Pony wanted to make a joke out of it but saw that it didnât please Shepard.Â
âI am.â Curly mumbled, âAnd Iâm not.âÂ
Pony always wondered about those draining words he had pronounced that evening. And he thought of his lonely eyes, his stolen dim, those eyes that had seen it all.Â
âYou better leave, Curtis,â Curly whispered to him, making a step closer so that his friend could feel his breath on his lips. âYou donât want to be seen by my side.â
âWhat if I want to?â It took him a lot of courage to say it. He trembled on the inside, but he was being honest with Curly for once. He couldnât live without it any longer. And the idea of leaving for college frightened him even more.Â
âI know you do,â Curlyâs voice sent shivers down Ponyâs spine. It was as if he was in a trance when he followed Shepard to his apartment, his body floated, and his stomach ached as he climbed up the stairs to a sketchy door, waiting for Shepard to put the keys into the lock.Â
They were in complete darkness when their bodies collided and their tongues twisted in a dance theyâd been longing for the past couple of weeks. Pony was no good in any of it, he was still inexperienced and a bit shy, and Curly was the polar opposite, but it didnât matter that night. Curly stripped down his clothes, ripping the buttons of his shirt, sending them on the floor - another memory Curly would keep for whenever he needed to feel warmth. And Ponyboy was a fool for Shepard, he brushed his hand through his curly hair, hearing a slight moan escape from his lips, and couldnât help but think about all those times Curly would moan for other men. He suddenly felt his stomach twist and he sat on the bed, his chest filled with sorrow.Â
âPony, whatâs wrong?â Curly sat beside him, gently pressing his head against his. If only they could stay like that forever.Â
âYou donât have to keep doing it.âÂ
Curly knew exactly what he meant, so he stayed silent. There was no way to explain to Pony everything he had gone through these couple of years. Pony had two loving brothers, and all Curly had left was a broken family. He managed well to hold his tears and kiss Ponyâs neck, his lips trailing down to his naked torso. Pony let go of his thoughts when Curlyâs teeth met his skin, and he felt butterflies in his stomach, his cheeks were burning up too. He never felt anything like that before.Â
The pleasure was unmatched. When Curly dropped to his knees, there was not a single hint of fear or disgust in his eyes. He wanted to do it. Maybe Pony wasnât a simple client, he was more than that, or at least he believed it each time heâd go back to that sweet memory of Curlyâs lips wrapped around his length, his tongue underneath, sliding up and down, making Ponyâs soul leave his body.Â
Curly probably did it all the time anyway, Pony imagined but quickly realized that he couldnât continue having these kinds of thoughts. He had to relax. He wanted it.Â
Curly sucked him off pretty well. There was nothing special about giving another blowjob to someone, but he did enjoy it with Ponyboy. He always liked him when they were still friends, Pony was handsome, shy, and a bit weird from time to time, but Curly could never call him lame or boring, no, he always respected him. And now being able to kiss his lips, feel him, was a real treat for Curly Shepard. Because he longed for it for all these past months.Â
Thatâs what made it so sweet. They waited a long time before doing it, almost like a normal teenage couple, almost as if they just recently got married. But the reality was different. Curly was prostituting himself. Giving his body to all kinds of men. And he deeply despised it.Â
Curly wanted to take Pony so hard, that he abruptly stopped the pleasure he was giving him, and got back near Ponyâs face to kiss him. Pony was so gentle. He was still a virgin, but even if he wouldnât be one, Ponyboy Curtis had always been a good person. He could never hurt Curly Shepard.
Pony was ready to get laid with him. When Curly helped him undress and pulled his jeans off completely, Pony understood that he was the one who was about to lose his virginity. He didnât mind because he had never given it much thought. But no, it wasnât true. Pony thought about sex all the time. Itâs just that he has nobody to talk to it about, but he genuinely wanted Curly to fuck him.Â
Shepard needed it too. Sex had become a horrid duty to him, and he wanted to finally feel like himself again. He kissed Ponyâs neck and left there a hickey, a small violet spot that would remind him of their time together.Â
When Ponyboy lay on the bed, getting ready to be penetrated for the first time, he saw that Curly kept a lot of pills on his nightstand. Pony was no fool, he understood quickly that Curly ended up doing drugs like most of the Greasers around town. Pony closed his eyes, imagining what it couldâve been like for Curly if he had at least some kind of support in his life. Would it be different if Tim and Angela cared for him? Of course, it would.Â
Curlyâs kisses slowly made Ponyâs thoughts disappear. Curtis was already very relaxed down there since he had been discovering his body for a some time. That is why when Curly lubed the area and fingered him, it wasnât painful at all. Pony moaned, living the best experience he thought he ever had in his life.Â
Curly, on the other hand, had swallowed a few pills before heâd get his hands on Ponyâs body just in case he couldnât feel like himself. It was a part of his routine. When his mind was finally free, he entered Ponyboy and gave him what he wanted - his first time. Curly still remembered the first time he experienced it, but decided not to visualize the scene again, because it reminded him of the simpler times when he was still living with his siblings and used to go to school, had some money in his pocket that heâd waste on anything he wanted, and not fuck with guys just to have a roof under his head.Â
Pony turned him on. Curly grabbed his waist when they switched positions and fucked him so hard, almost forgetting that Ponyboy was still new to it all. Curtis came, and when Curly saw the liquid splurge all over his bedsheets, he came too, inside Ponyboy. Curtis was in a euphoric, but also tired state for a few minutes, and when he finally opened his eyes, Curly was long gone to the bathroom, where he spent at least twenty minutes under the cold water, cleaning himself up.Â
Pony got pretty nervous, blaming himself for everything they had done. Maybe they shouldnât have. Maybe Curly didnât enjoy sex any longer, maybe Ponyboy only reminded him once again of his job. Biting his lip, he got up from the bed and went to check on him. But Curly seemed fine. He still had a wicked smile on his face when Pony entered the bathroom. And Pony concluded that maybe Curly had enjoyed it, at least a little bit.Â
Pony stayed to spend the night with him, almost forgetting that he had to leave the next day. And he felt horribly bad for seeing the reality in which Curly had lived, a small apartment, pills everywhere, dirty clothes, broken windowâŚÂ
âCurly,â Pony cleared his throat, looking him in the eyes. It was dark and he could barely see his pupils, âWhy arenât you living at your house anymore?â
âThis is my place now,â Curlyâs lips formed a straight line, âI just wanted to be independent. Wanted to show my siblings that I didnât have to sell or marry someone to get somewhere in life. But look at me now, Iâm getting evicted next week. And Tim told me the house wonât be ours anymore.âÂ
Pony couldnât even imagine Curly going homeless even for a day. Angela got married off to someone so she could have a home. And Tim, well, they didnât know what he had become, probably rented a room somewhere or lived with a friend. Curly was all alone. Pony wanted to suggest something, at least anything, but he quickly ran out of options. Their family bond was broken. It was nothing like with Soda and Darry. They could never let him live on the street all by himself.Â
Pony had a sudden urge to tell him how dear he was to him. He forgot about the awkwardness, swallowed his shyness, and began to speak, âCurly, IâŚâÂ
But Shepard saw it in his eyes right before heâd say it. His eyes gave it all away, but he didnât believe them. He didnât want Pony to say things heâd later regret, or say them out of pity, or worse - because Curly was his first time. And there was no such feeling of love for Curly Shepard. Everyone eventually left. And Pony would too.Â
âThis could never work out. You are better off without me, I promise you, Ponyboy,â Curly mumbled, his eyes closing, his body drifting off to sleep.Â
Ponyboy didnât cry. He wanted to, but the tears never came. He was so flabbergasted and inspired by what he had experienced that all he wanted to do was scream it to the world, but there was nothing to be so surprised about. He had just slept with someone who was having sex with multiple men all year long. Nothing seemed to make this time more special than the rest.Â
But it was. To Pony it was everything. Curly was everything. The way he took him so gently and made love to him, even if usually it was a dreading job.Â
Ponyboy was grateful.Â
Curlyâs future was Ponyâs last thought before he drifted off to sleep. All these pills, random men⌠Everyone knew where it could end.
Pony tossed and turned in his sleep, not being able to let go of his intrusive thoughts about Curly leaving this world. He had another nightmare, but this time it wasnât about his parents, it was about Curly. In his dream, he had become a junkie. His face was pale, and his perfect teeth had gaps in them, just like the skin of his arms.Â
Pony glanced at Curly the second he had opened his eyes. No, he was alright. He was alive and breathing, he was young and careless, the same Curly he always knew. And he loved him for it.Â
It struck him like lightning. Curly wasnât going anywhere. He was going to stay, stay the same, stay here in this horrid place, with these worthless men, and Ponyboy would leave to build his future, leave Curly alone.Â
Even if Shepard didnât allow him to pronounce the big word starting with the letter âLâ, Pony couldnât have left without him knowing. He took a piece of paper on Curlyâs desk and began writing.
When Curly woke up in the morning, he couldnât remember what had happened the night before. He stood up, stretched his arms, and went to brush his teeth. But before he could reach the bathroom, he glanced at the desk. He grinned, taking the paper in his hands. His smile disappeared.Â
"Dear Curly,
Sometimes I hate myself for not coming to talk to you sooner. I have to get back home early in the morning because I have to finish packing for college and say goodbye to my brothers. I still canât forget the words you told me, that youâre always going to be here, but someday you won't,â
Curly took his eyes off the paper for a moment, trying to recall him saying it.Â
âThis is for you, Curly before I leave.âÂ
Curly lifted the paper and saw an envelope stuffed with paper bills. He couldnât believe his eyes. His hands started to shake as he flicked them. The sum in his head rounded up to another month of rent.Â
He smiled, cursing himself for having Ponyâs money. Of course, if it was another man paying that much he wouldnât mind. But it was Ponyboy Curtis and he was genuine. There was a paper that came with it, and Curly suddenly realized that it was Ponyboyâs salary.Â
He must have been working in the library all summer long. But it wasnât to pay himself a whore. Pony sincerely wanted to help. This was different. Pony could never leave knowing that Curly was going to be homeless in a few days.Â
Curlyâs eyes shifted back to the letter and then to the clock above the bed. It was too late now to catch him and give him back the money. But he needed it. He really did.Â
Shepard felt a tear slip down his cheek as he read the postscript.Â
"Please wait for me,Â
Ponyboy Curtis."

based on the latest post, how if little Soda & dally got in trouble when they were alone, a punishment would be not getting to help/cuddle Pony&Johnny, what would happen if Pony or Johnny were asking for one of them, or like needed to be comforted? (also have you seen the end of wild life yet/know the winner?)
-âď¸
I'm not quite sure how the caregivers would handle that. There's not much that Pony would want Soda for, unless he was younger than usual and just really wanted his big brother, and Johnny is usually content with playing with Pony when Dally was also regressed.
I think Darry and Two-Bit are both pretty good at being 'substitutes' when Pony and Johnny are insistent on seeing Soda or Dally, however if it's bad enough; like a nightmare or one of the two are sick or just something that's definitely major they would revoke the punishment or continue it after the littles are taken care of.
It's Soda and Dally's punishment, not Pony and Johnny's. And the caregivers are always good at just knowing when to change the punishment. I'm very much struggling to think of punishments and rewards and stuff for the littles and caregivers and such.
(Yes! I saw the same day the videos came out! One of my mutuals was so excited because they absolutely love the winner!)

Hi !! I just wanna say I love your wrighting and was wondering if you could do hcs for being Dallas Winston's sibling?
Thx you and have an amazing week đ
ofc! hope you like it!
Dallas Winston x Reader/Younger Sibling hc's
(Set in an AU where he DOESN'T DIE)
You are three years younger than Dally
You grew up in the same house as Dally for most of your life
Even as a little kid he was still reckless and careless
When you were 6 and he was 9 your mom died and so your dad moved your family up to New York
In New York, Dally was never around, he was always out causing trouble and eventually he got arrested
You wished he were home because to tell the truth, you liked having him around
Despite his cold, hard exterior he always showed you how much he appreciated you as his younger sibling
He did distance himself from you over time though, but only because he didn't want you joining into his activities and getting hurt
After a few years of living in New York, he told you his plans to run away, back to Tulsa
You insisted on going with him but he wouldn't have it
One night he left without warning
You spent months wishing he would come back but he never did
You eventually ran away to Tulsa to find him
After arriving in Tulsa you searched for him for weeks
You finally found him one day at the DX
He was thrilled to see you but he was also concerned that he wouldn't be able to take care of you and give you everything you needed
He worked things out though, the two of you ended up living in Buck Merill's spare bedroom
You hang out with the gang sometimes
You're pretty good friends with Two-Bit, Ponyboy, and Sodapop
Steve hates you
Darry never really talks to you
Johnny doesn't talk to you much either but he respects you since you're his best friend's younger sibling
Dally always keeps an eye out for you when you're doing anything; he just wants to keep you safe
If he even sees a soc, the first thing he does is step in front of you
You're never allowed to fight in a rumble because he just wants to protect you from getting hurt
Overall, you're glad you came to Tulsa to find him
He won't admit it, but he's glad you came too

â CINNAMON GIRL â´

written by mina leigh ŕ¨ŕ§ , dallas winston đ f! reader | wc 1000
summary. dallasâ perspective on y/n, delving into his tough exterior and how she manages to reach the vulnerable parts of him he keeps hidden. through dallasâ eyes, we see the impact of her unwavering kindness and how she brings a rare sense of peace to his otherwise chaotic life.
labels. dallyâs point of view.
warnings. mentions of dallasâ rough upbringing, and brief references to violence and criminal behavior.
lifeâs a fight. always has been. you either take the punches or you throw âem, and iâve never been the kind to just sit there and take it. the streets taught me that. new york taught me that.
but for some reason, y/n never needed to fight. she could walk into a room and somehow everything got quieter, calmer. like even the meanest bastard wouldnât dare cross her. i used to think it was because she was soft, too sweet for her own good. but now i know better. y/nâs tougher than most people iâve ever met. just in a different way.
the first time i met her, i thought she was a joke.
it was a couple years back. iâd just started hanging around with the curtis boys and their little crew. didnât trust any of them yet, not really. but they had my back in a fight, and that was good enough.
y/n was sitting on the couch at their place, holding ponyâs arm and telling him to quit squirming while she bandaged him up. heâd taken a tumble during a game of football, and the kid was whining like heâd lost a leg or something.
saw two other kids, looked just like her. the younger boy spoke.
âim so sorry pony! i didnât mean too, iâll do anything to make it up to you!â
i already donât like him, why are his glasses so big?
pony, one i was familiar with replied.
âdonât worry âbout it charlie, we were just playing around ... ouch! y/n ⌠that hurts.â
âyouâre fine, pony,â she said, her voice calm but firm. âjust sit still.â
i leaned against the doorframe, watching her. she didnât look like she belonged in a place like this â too clean, too pretty, too ⌠good.
âwhoâs this?â i asked, jerking my chin toward her.
âthatâs y/n,â soda said, grinning. âsheâs like our guardian angel or something.â
âangel, huh?â i smirked, crossing my arms. âdoesnât look like much to me.â
y/n glanced up then, her eyes meeting mine. they werenât soft like i expected. there was steel in them, and it threw me off.
âand you must be dallas,â she said, her voice steady. âiâve heard about you.â
âyeah? whatâd you hear?â
âthat youâre trouble.â
i grinned, stepping closer. âand youâre not scared?â
she smiled back, just a little. âshould i be?â
i didnât know what to say to that, so i just shrugged and walked away. but that was the start of it, i guess. the beginning of whatever this thing is between me and her.
y/nâs different from anyone iâve ever known. most people take one look at me and decide iâm not worth their time. hell, half the time i donât blame âem. iâm a mess, and i know it.
but not y/n. she sees through all the crap, like sheâs got some kind of sixth sense for knowing when someoneâs not as tough as they act.
there was this one night, a few months after we met. iâd gotten into a fight with some socs down by the tracks. they jumped me, four against one, and i didnât exactly come out on top. i managed to drag myself to the curtis house, bloodied and bruised, thinking maybe darry could patch me up.
instead, i found y/n sitting on the porch, reading some book i didnât recognize.
âwhat the hell happened to you?â she asked, her eyes going wide when she saw me.
âjust a little disagreement,â i muttered, trying to brush past her.
but she wasnât having it. she grabbed my arm, surprisingly strong for someone so dainty, and pulled me inside.
âsit,â she ordered, pointing to the kitchen table.
i thought about arguing, but something in her voice made me shut up and do as she said. she grabbed a towel and some ice, cleaning me up without a word.
âyouâve got to stop doing this to yourself, dallas,â she said after a while, her voice quiet.
âdoing what?â i asked, wincing as she dabbed at a cut on my forehead.
âacting like you donât matter,â she said, her eyes meeting mine. âlike it doesnât matter if you get hurt.â
i didnât know what to say to that, so i just looked away.
itâs funny. iâve been through more fights and close calls than i can count, but the only thing thatâs ever really scared me is the thought of losing y/n.
i donât mean that in a romantic way or anything. itâs just ⌠sheâs the only person whoâs ever made me feel like iâm worth something. like maybe iâm not as screwed up as i think i am.
sheâs always there, no matter what. when i screw up, when i push people away, when i do something stupid that lands me in trouble â y/nâs there, not judging, not lecturing. just ⌠there. in a good way.
there was this one time, not too long ago, when things got really bad. iâd been arrested again, and when i got out, i didnât want to see anyone. i holed up in my crappy little room, trying to pretend the rest of the world didnât exist.
but y/n didnât let me. she showed up one afternoon, knocking on the door until i finally let her in.
âwhat do you want?â i asked, my voice rough.
âto check on you,â she said simply, stepping inside like she owned the place.
she didnât say much after that, just sat with me, her presence steady and grounding. after a while, i started talking â about new york, about my parents, about all the crap i never tell anyone.
and she listened. she didnât try to fix me or tell me everything was going to be okay. she just listened, and somehow, that was enough.
y/nâs the kind of person you donât expect to find in a place like this. sheâs too good for it, too good for any of us, really. but she stays anyway, and i donât think iâll ever understand why.
all i know is, iâd do anything to protect her.
