1. cute as hell & my friend loves it (it was a gift)

2. it's a really nice quality sticker: good thick paper, water proof, and great colors that pop just as nicely on person as they did on the webpage! it also came with a incredibly cute lil zone about Calico Jill (a wee mouse) & her cheese quest.

12/10 would absolutely get more art from this shop

This painting is an ode to the shops that are closing in downtown Tacoma thanks to the pandemic, and a prayer for the ones that have survived. Read more on my blog.

Next week, I am doing an art demonstration for a local art club, so I prepared a few paintings to work on at the event.

I went to the pages of my book Dear Friends: American Photographs of Men Together 1840-1918 by David Deitcher to find some source images to work with.

For my Affectionate Animal series, I typically paint on a white background, but I thought I'd try something different this time. I will be demonstrating how I do watercolor backgrounds to this group, as well, but these take a while to dry, so I went ahead and painted two backgrounds so the group can see what they look like after they are dry.

I'm kinda fond of the added color and I'm excited to see how this affects the end product. Stay tuned next week for more updates! (I'm both nervous to be painting while a group of strangers watch and excited to connect with a group of local artists.)

Hey guys! I finished my queer cat series and you can see all 5 paintings on my art account @darlingillustrations ^_^

I’ve loved rainbows my whole life. As a Christian, they were a symbol of hope, that God would not destroy me but carry me through the storm.

When I was coming to terms with being queer, one of the hugest hurtles for me was the question of faith. Did my sexual orientation condemn me? Or was it the dogmatic fundamentalists in my life who had perverted the true nature of Christian love?

I came to accept who I am and how i was created. My devotion to my faith helped to lead me through the storm, and there are rainbows of hope on the other side. And the thing that is most striking to me is that this entire process of accepting who I am and coming out of the closet has helped me be more vulnerable, more honest, more earnest… and have more faith in God… but also in myself.
