Interstella 5555: alternate ending idea

(spoilers for a nearly twenty-year-old movie below!)

-Darkwood's security, when shooting at the car, ends up hitting Shep in a less-vital area than in canon. He's still in a lot of pain, to the point of passing out, but he loses a lot less blood.

-The "Voyager" sequence has them looking for a safe place to keep Shep for the time being (one of their apartments, perhaps?) before Stella shows them the card she found.

-"Veridis Quo" and "Short Circuit" are relatively unchanged.

-"Face to Face": After Octave is hospitalized and the other Crescendolls are certain that the doctors are safe people, they bring Shep there to help him recover. Humanity discovers Darkwood's manor and the secrets within; a cenotaph is erected within the area in memory of the 5,554 other musicians, and plans to contact those other planets and make whatever reparations are necessary begin to form. After a while, both Shep and his ship are in good enough condition to take the Crescendolls home.

-"Too Long" starts majorly diverging when Darkwood's ghost shows up. The heroes try to evade him as much as possible, but eventually, the spirits of all the aliens Darkwood sacrificed show up and swarm him, sending him away like Shep did in canon. After the band's return performance, all five heroes are awarded with medals - Shep for saving the Crescendolls, and the band themselves for foiling and exposing Darkwood's plot to conquer the universe. At the very end, Shep gets to kiss Stella - for real this time, with no interruptions. (Insert dream ending as desired.)
