No one. absolutely no one: .....
Me: Tavra’s style of sword fighting, in the one real example we see of it, shows a focus on finesse and point control- instead of singularly hacking or blocking, like Naia and Tae do, Tavra both deflects and disarms her larger and stronger opponent by cutting at skekSa’s claws, successfully flipping the Skeksis’ sword out of her grip and over a nearby cliff’s edge.
Me: This either shows that her sword is one capable of fine point control, implying that the sword’s balance is more towards to hilt, or that Tavra is skilled enough in the techniques of single opponent dueling to make up for her weapon’s innate design.
Me: That she knew she could disarm skekSa by targeting her hand without resorting to fully chopping off said hand, as Tae did, suggests Tavra is well aware of what damage to a sword wielder’s fingers can do to their ability to continue holding their sword.
Me: This in turn suggests she is used to combat where disarming rather than drastically maiming or killing your opponent is expected, again possibly matching up with duels of honor where dominance through the exhibition of greater skill decides the victor, possibly with rules regarding an instant lost if your sword is taken from you.
Me: She also makes good use of extreme maneuverability, “wing work” instead of “foot work”, evading all three of her opponent’s remaining hands despite skekSa’s much greater reach and fury. Her awareness of the local air currents- terrain for a woman with wings- also is sharp, as she uses the wind to power her own swift backward evasion while retreating safely out of skekSa’s wild swatting attacks.
Me: So much movement would not match well with fighting in close formations or with groups of others, or in densely foliaged or cramped spaces such as jungle or a ship’s deck. It would be a good match for open landscapes with strong wind currents, like the mountain sides or cliffs of her home, and for a woman fighting alone or who’s role is to completely distract and occupy a specific opponent while luring it away from her fellows.
Me: This might explain why Naia and Tae remained more earth bound, being used to swamp and ships respectively, with Tae using her wings for a single preplanning diving attack, while Tavra takes to the air and remains there the moment she replaces them both in the fight.
Me: did you think i was going somewhere with this? NO!
Me: WAIT YES ACTUALLY
Me: book Tavra’s sword should look more like her one from the TV show, with the hand protection D guard thingy and more weight towards the hilt, and a single edged blade that can block blows on it’s spine while still cutting and stabbing
Me: her swords should NOT look like it does on the cover of book 3, with a short leaf blade meant for increasing chopping power meaning loss of point control and most weight up near the blade tip, especially paired with that simple and skimpy guard that does basically NOTHING this sword makes sense if it’s made out BRONZE or if you’re got a shield or spear, it is NOT a weapon of someone who fights like TAVRA DOES
Me: Also, the fact Tae is able to sever a larger opponents wrist with one cut from her dagger implies said dagger is either on the larger side or heavier side.
Me: That Onica's blade is called a "dirk" instead might suggest that it, unlike Tae's dagger, is not designed mainly for combat, and might be more along the lines of a highland dirk or bollocks dagger, with a single-edge multipurpose but still perfectly deadly blade and no hand protection to get caught on clothing or rigging lines while in use on her ship.
Me: Presumably, since Naia got her "knife" from her brother while he was in service as a guard in the castle, and she uses it later to fend off possessed NOT! Tavra's body while it was attacking with a sword, book Naia's knife is somewhere between Tae's dagger and Onica's dirk, possibly with some form of handguard, more than as seen in the TV show version, and maybe a bit longer blade with a single edge and dropped point to make it a tool as well instead of dedicated weapon like the word "dagger" when used in contrast sometimes implies- a knife capable of parrying or catching attacks with as well as for fighting your opponent in close quarters or more general day to day use.
Me: ok im done now

Hello
Your newest post reminded me i had an idea. The bois comforting wol who is having a nervous brakedown from all the stress. Bonus Ardbert.
I really like your stories. Especially the angsty ones.
(TAZ The Breakdown plays in the background)
(Mild shadowbringers spoilers)
Thancred literally (accidentally but still) disassociated so hard from the stress that he gave up his body to the bad guy for a bit. If anyone gets what youre going through, its probably going to be him. Hes not going to waste his time on empty platitudes: hes going to get you a glass of water, a warm blanket, and a hot meal, and let you cry it out on his shoulder for as long as you need to.
(And if that still doesnt help, well. Sex is still on the table. Its rarely a good idea, but hes all out of those.)
Urianger is probably breaking down with you lets be real. Every future my mans has ever read has included world-ending catastrophe, and, sure, youve thwarted it every time (usually with his help) but. What if this time you dont? What if this time you fail???? Its an unreasonable amount of stress for one man to be carrying. He probably does a fantastic amount of fantasy weed to cope and still all it takes is seeing you break down for him to also start blubber-crying.
Graha seems kind of detached and distant at first. "Shower water food" he commands you, in the voice of Lynas grandfather the Crystal Exarch, firm and uncompromising and impossible to disobey, and you might miss the way his voice and smile are strained. The way his hands clench and unclench at his sides. Hes never regretted turning back time to help you save two worlds, but. Its times like this that he wonders if he shouldnt try again to give you a happier ending.
Estinien is a firm hand on your shoulder, a steady shoulder to lean on, because he gets it. The feeling of being trapped in your own body, puppetted by powers so much greater than you can imagine, almost greater than you can comprehend... Youre breaking down for the both of you, honestly, because hes spent so long training the iron discipline to resist nidhoggs influence that he doesnt know how to anymore. This is. Cathartic. For the both of you tbh.
Aymeric wishes in this moment, more than anything, that he could just. Just be with you. Out on your journeys, giving you support by your side instead of from a distance. And he knows, he knows, that the support he gives you is important, that his ability to move nations in your favor has helped far more than any single sword at your side ever would. But he bears the weight of a nation while you bear the weight of a star, and that just. Doesnt seem fair to him.
Haurchefant knows that theres some things that hot chocolate cant fix but. Its a good starting place if nothing else. Something warm and sweet right now couldnt hurt, neither would a soft blanket and a roaring fire. He'll sit with you, bundled up together, and just listen if thats what you need. Or he can talk-- he has plenty of embarrassing stories about Artoirel that he hasnt shared yet. Either way, he'll happily help you wipe your tears away when youre done, and then drop a delicate kiss on your forehead.
Stand tall, he says. A smile better suits a hero.
Sidurgu is surprisingly good at this. Or, maybe not so surprising? Rielle is very mature for her age, but shes still a child. He probably does this whole song and dance every other week. And you feel a little bit like a child, the way he bullies you into the shower and then bundles you up in blankets and pushes food at you, but. Beneath the gruff words and scowl you can tell hes worried. Frustrated. This is exactly the kind of injustice that as a dark knight he swore he would fight, but hes just one man, there isnt much he can do about the desolation of the star. But he also needs you to know that he'll always be in your corner. Whether in this little way or if you need him to help you kill a god, he'll always come when you call.
BONUS
Ardbert has never felt so helpless in his life. He cant touch you, cant be a shoulder you can cry on. He cant even fetch you a glass of water. All he can do is stand there and watch as you break apart in your bed in the Pendants, and its. Its torture, worse than anything any ascian could ever conceive.
Still. He does what he can. And if all he can do is sit at your bedside, his hand hovering half-through yours in a mockery of touch while he tells you stories of his adventures, or friendship and triumph and happier times, well. Its the least he can do.

Propaganda under the cut
Captain K. P. Hob x Delloso de la Rue (Hobrue) - Dimension 20, season 15: A Court of Fey and Flowers
Starts out as a star-crossed, Beauty-and-the-Beast-style romance between a very animalistic, awkwardly formal, military man—well, goblin (Captain Hob) and a very elfen-esque Master of Ceremonies (Rue), who’s busy with the job of hosting the huge, politically important party they just put together, and is also technically a member of another royal court. SPOILERS: Turns out Rue is an owlbear under their glamour, aka just as massive and animalistic as Hob. Both of them really love the other’s body specifically because it looks like theirs rather than fitting in with the traditional fey standards of beauty, so they’re lowkey serving t4t-vibes, despite existing in a setting where there are zero social expectations around gender. Technically they’d be a monster x monster pairing no matter what, as they’re both fey, but the fact that they both stick out even among the extreme visual variety of the fey people, and very much feel the weight of that exclusion, really makes them a monster x monster pairing in spirit too.
SkekGra X UrGoh (GraGoh) - The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance
They literally are each other's halves. No really. They used to b a whole being named GraGoh and split as two separate beings and now want to be joined into one again. So in the meantime they live together like an old married couple. Bickering and trolling, taking drugs, with the same passion for theatre and puppetry, going against their species' philosophies to be joined again (SkekGra is the only Skeksis in the whole franchise to have redeemed himself and live like an UrRu alongside UrGoh and was banished for that, and said Urgoh does not exactly follows the Mystic way either). They even have a rock gollem son. They long for each other and seem to want to hug and their one goal is to essentially hug further forever
Almost a canon ship tbh, very cute

I have never heard of the Dark Crystal until I saw your posts. What is it about, and what do you like about it?
Oh ho?
Sit down, anon, and let me tell you the tale of... The Dark Crystal.
*theme music plays*
In a world called Thra, there exists a powerful gem called the Crystal of Truth. It is in tune to all of Thra, including the planet's most civilized race, the Gelfling.
A thousand years ago, new beings came to Thra: the Skeksis. The Skeksis, wise, hedonistic and benevolent, were tasked with protecting the Crystal of Truth by Thra's avatar/mother-nature of sorts, Mother Aughra. Because of their wisdom the Skeksis also ruled over the Gelfling and their seven Clans, while Aughra journeyed the stars and space.
But one day, the Crystal cracked, causing the Crystal to become corrupted, and a miasma, the Darkening, to spread throughout Thra. In an attempt to fix the Crystal, the Skeksis discovered Essence - the soul or life-force of every creature on Thra. Instead of taking life from the Crystal, they decided to take life from something else - the Gelfling. Because the Gelfling are the closest creatures to Thra, their Essence is pure, more potent.
The Skeksis became obsessed with Essence, and obsessed with draining Gelfling, killing them and drinking their Essence to obtain eternal life and youthfulness. All Skeksis, but the Emperor especially, were terrified of death. For when Skeksis die they do not return to Thra.
And so, a genocide occurred, and all Gelfling perished.
All but one. For there was a prophecy, told of a young Gelfling named Jen, who is destined to heal the Crystal and bring the Skeksis reign to an end!
What I love about The Dark Crystal is its world-building and characters. Its cast isn't just black and white in morality, it's more than that. The protagonists can make mistakes, and so can the antagonists. The Skeksis were good once upon a time, they once cared about the Gelfling, but their greed and fear of death overtook them. Thra is beautiful with many different settings and wildlife, even the Castle of the Crystal is gorgeous with it's fantastical and alien gothic architecture.
I'm mainly talking about the prequel series, Age of Resistance, here. It was made almost 40 years after the original 1982 film, but unlike many modern sequels and prequels it's not a cash grab at all; it was made with love and respect to the original, expanding on the world of Thra. Not saying the original film was bad, it's a wonderful piece of media! I just think it's lacking a bit in world-building and context, and Age of Resistance helps immensely.
As for characters, I'll be talking about the Skeksis, Gelfling, and Mother Aughra. There are other characters and creatures too, but I don't want to venture into spoiler territory!
The Skeksis
As I said above, the Skeksis are not from Thra. They are reptile-like alien vultures with a very hedonistic lifestyle. They adore food, various forms of entertainment, the most lavish of robes, and being praised for their wisdom and status as Lords of the Crystal.
Each Skeksis has a title and role they must uphold. For example, the Ornamentalist makes his fellow Lords' robes and decor for the Castle, while the Scroll-Keeper is in charge of the Castle library and keeps records of tomes and scrolls going back a thousand years of Skeksis rule.
All the Skeksis are important and unique, but the most popular and well-known by far is the Chamberlain. He has a "whimper" as a tic and speaks in slight broken English, yet is the craftiest, manipulative, and cunning of the Skeksis. A very Starscream/Littlefinger-type character, he's fantastic to watch. (He's one of my favourite characters, but not my top favourite, that honour goes to the Scroll-Keeper.)
The Gelfling
The Gelfling are small, elf-like humanoids that vary in looks, culture and skill between their seven different species/Clans. There is the Stonewood, Vapran, Drenchen, Spriton, Dousan, Sifan, and Grottan. Unfortunately, many Gelfling tend to be xenophobic and untrustworthy towards other Clans, though some do manage to become friends despite their differences. Most Gelfling are also illiterate, but there are a very small few that can read and write.
Gelfling are the closest beings to Thra, and have the special ability to Dreamfast with one another - a rather intimate gesture that allows them to share their memories and thoughts by touching hands.
They also differ between genders; female Gelfling have wings, while male Gelfling do not.
Because of their small noses and large eyes and ears, some of the fandom tend to call Gelfling "fairy mice", even giving them whiskers and tails!
Mother Aughra
Mother Aughra is Thra, and Thra is Mother Aughra. She is as old as the planet itself, and perhaps as old as the Crystal of Truth, too. She is connected to the Crystal, able to tell when it is healthy and when it is not.
She and the Skeksis used to be friends, admiring their wisdom and beauty, yet that all ended when she discovered what they had done to the Crystal of Truth.
Aughra is sassy and somewhat grumpy, yet she loves and cares for all the creatures of Thra, especially the Gelfling, who see her as a mother-figure. She has the ability to remove her one eye and use it to spy on others or to see things up close, even from far away.
If you enjoy the fantasy genre, puppets, practical effects, and alien worlds, I highly, highly recommend The Dark Crystal and The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance! There are also graphic novels, and YA novels by J.M Lee.
The world of Thra must never die!

Sketches of Times Lost
Day 22: Threshold [FREE DAY]
a moment for aureia and aymeric on the threshold of change. aymeric x wol. stormblood spoilers. written for ffxivwrite2024. rated: mature 1273 words ao3 link
Aymeric sighs and sinks into the bath, idly watching the steam as it rises and curls towards the rafters.
It may not be the same as the pleasantness of a hot springs bath, but it is most welcome all the same. His body aches, his muscles stretched and worn. It is a concerning fact of his life how easy it is to strain himself not just from combat, but from a hard day’s ride. Some aides younger than he would find it easy to pin it on his age, but mid-thirties is not old, especially for an Elezen. This is the consequence of countless hours spent at a desk, in meetings, and otherwise remaining stationary.
Guilt twists in the pit of his stomach. He has not been lax, with his life or his duties. Aureia would say he has never once been lax in all the years she has known him, and could benefit from “going rogue”. He has kept regular training, though not as intensive a regimen as many knights can afford. He simply does not have the time. And yet he can and will grace the battlefield, when it is required of him.
He has not once put down his sword. He is both soldier and politician. The latter he is secure in, but the former…? Fighting Garleans is a different beast than fighting dragons. His skill feels eroded. Weathered. Not what it once was.
And it is certainly nothing compared to the tempest that storms the battlefield at his side.
He groans and shifts his position, water sloshing about him as he digs his fingers into the tense muscles of his calf. The bath is a wide rectangle pool sunk into the floor, surrounded by rich red and gold tile. A little ledge runs around the edge for bathers to sit on, carved from the same stone that was used to build Porta Praetoria. A brass chandelier hangs from the ceiling, its glow hazy in the steam. A few climbing plants stand scattered about the room, vines and leaves spilling over the lip of their pots and dragging on the floor. It must have been some time since anyone thought to care for them.
The Ala Mhigan resistance spared no expense finding the Alliance leaders the best rooms to be found in Porta Praetoria. He almost resisted, insisting that he can sleep in the tents the same as his troops, but—as always—his thoughts went to Aureia. She would not join him, if that was the case, for the sake of her own privacy. And so, a week out from their planned attack on Ala Mhigo, they have found themselves lodged in a room nicer than most Ala Mhigans could ever afford, enjoying amenities most of their soldiers will never have access to.
Who was this chamber’s last occupant, he wonders? A wealthy merchant? A Garlean spy? A distant scion of the Mad King? Perhaps Prince Zenos himself stayed in these rooms, though he cannot imagine it. Garleans think little of the people they conquer, their so-called “savages”. Why would he take refuge in Porta Praetoria when he has a whole palace available to him in Ala Mhigo?
Aymeric sinks deeper into the bath, allowing his legs to float up in the water. Ala Mhigo. It is impossible to block out now, even here in the safety of this room. The far wall faces east and the windows are shutterless, the remains of their wood still clinging to the window frame. Ala Mhigo looms on the horizon, beyond the sea of tents, beyond the dark waters of Loch Seld, its palatial silhouette glowing orange and red with the light of Garlean magitek.
A knock on the door. “Aymeric?”
Aureia. Her voice cuts through the din of his thoughts, and relief washes over him.
“I’m in here,” he calls.
The door creaks open and she slips inside. He raises his head and his shoulders sag with disappointment—she is still dressed in armour, her hair tied back in a tight bun, her weapon strapped to her back. The staff glitters, sharp and lethal, a blue-green focusing crystal interwoven with its deadly blade. A custom design, forged by Cid Garlond from salvaged Allagan tech and crafted to be used interchangeably as a black mage’s armament and a dragoon’s lance. It is impossible to know if she is coming or going.
“Heading out?” he asks gently, careful not to let his disappointment show.
She shakes her head and moves further into the room, favouring one leg. Is she injured? “Returning,” she replies. “One hells of a scouting mission. Thancred…” She closes her eyes and sighs. “Never mind.”
He pushes himself up. “Are you hurt, Aureia?”
“No.” She crosses her arms, one hand gingerly brushing her side. “I’m going to bed. I wanted to see you before I did. Say goodnight.” Her eyes flick across the room, distracted by the sight through the window. “If I can even sleep with that fucking thing out there.”
“The city may be a reminder of what’s to come, yes,” he replies. “But perhaps we should think of what our deeds will achieve once it is liberated, rather than what it is now.”
“I’m not talking about the city.”
The water’s gentle lap at odds with the fierceness of her voice. She speaks of Zenos—there is no one else she could mean. No one else who raises her ire. No one else who threatens to overtake her mind. He does not know why the crown prince figures so largely in her life. He is a Garlean legatus—a powerful one, of course, but she has laid low powerful legatuses before. The streak of vengeance in her voice gives him pause. It is too powerful, too twisted to simply be anger directed at the general who defeated her at Rhalgr’s Reach.
And a shade too close to the venom with which Estinien once spoke of Nidhogg.
Aymeric meets her eyes. She stares at him, her gaze sweeping over his body but seeing none of his nakedness. Any desire she may have for him has been pushed aside, locked away. With anyone else he could imagine this moment turning into a charming evening, a last romantic encounter between two lovers on the threshold of change. And perhaps it still could be.
“It’s a quiet night,” he says softly. “Why don’t you undress first? Come speak with me for a while. We may not have many chances left.”
Her jaw clenches. “I don’t feel like talking.”
“Then sit with me, then.”
She stares at him, eyes narrowed. With her hair drawn back so severely and her pointed ears on display, she is all angles—sharp and keen and stinging. If he could go to her, he would—to hold her, kiss her, tell her that it will be all right. But he dare not now. Not if she does not want him to.
“I don’t feel like that either,” she says at last, her voice low and ragged, as if she is on the verge of tears. “I just wanted to see you.”
“Aureia—”
“Good night.”
His heart pangs. He rises from the bath, water rushing off him, but it is too late. She slips back through the door, taking care to close it without a sound. A gesture, one of her many perplexing voiceless ways of communicating.
A way to say “I’m sorry, I’m not angry with you.”
A way to say, “I’m sorry, this is not your fault.”
A way to say, “I’m sorry I’m not enough.”
He would have preferred if she had slammed it.

I finally watched the original Dark Crystal movie
Minor spoilers(???)
Had no idea what was going on tbh but I DID come out with the insurmountable rage of knowing that, had the show continued, Rian and Deet and Brea and all them would have prob lost bc the Skeksis were still alive and it looked like, chronologically, Age of Resistance took place before The Dark Crystal.
I just hoped they kicked the emperor’s ass a bit to shorten his lifespan lmao
The puppets were pretty poggers tho

Please keep your requests within the boundaries of my favorites list. I can point you to other stim blogs who will take your request, but any unlisted fandom requests will be deleted from my ask box.
You can ask for an aesthetic, animal, character, video game element/location, or stim type. Those are just a few examples; if you ask for it, I can probably do it!
Since I own Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, I can easily collect in-game footage such as my header. Any other Zelda game footage may have to come from you or the internet. I can also try to collect Splatoon 3 footage but I am not sure how easy it will be.
If you are not sure what kind of stims you like, I can create a board sampling my favorite types.
If I post a stimboard that you requested, please reblog it! It helps more people see it and shows that you like it. It's very disheartening to create content for an audience who does not interact.
Please do not ask for names or ships.
My favorite media:
Linked Universe, That Broken Promise, all Legend of Zelda games, all Splatoon games, The Dark Crystal (movie + Age of Resistance), the sport of ice hockey, Webkinz, Zack and Wiki, Mariokart, The Dragon Prince, Super Paper Mario, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (early characters only for now), Animusic, Storks movie
Other media I like, but am not taking requests for at the moment:
Witch Hat Atelier, Star Wars, The Owl House, Avatar: the Last Airbender, Disney
Please keep me spoiler-free for WHA, Side Order DLC, and ROTTMNT until I say otherwise!
Identity flags (gender and sexuality) are also available!
I love cleancore, babycore, and kidcore! This includes agere boards.

A Wrinkle In Time, Chapter 5 - The Tesseract
(THIS PROJECT IS SPOILER FREE! No spoilers past the chapter you click on. Curious what I'm doing here? Read this post! For the link index for the Time Quintet, read this one! Like what you see? Send me a Ko-Fi.)
In which we start getting answers.
Mrs Which says that Mr. Murry is on the other side of the darkness. Meg starts crying, loudly. Mrs Whatsit comforts her, saying they wouldn't have come this far if there was no hope. He needs help and courage, and his children may spur him to do what he can't alone. Mrs Which wants to get underway to get behind the shadow as well, but Mrs Whatsit assures them they'll be tessering in stages. But, when she asks if they understand, Meg says no.
Mrs Whatsit and Charles try a few different methods to try to explain. First is how a modern reader has likely encountered wormhole theory,(1) like folding a piece of paper to pass directly from one to the other instead of crossing the whole paper. Then, Charles Wallace says Mrs. Murry, when he kept at her while Meg was at school, told him to think about it this way: the single dimension is a line, two dimensions make a square, three make a cube. The fourth we can't really conceptualize but it's broadly considered to be the passage of time. Only, to travel, one must pass through a fifth dimension.
Just for a moment, Meg finally gets it, enough that she's no longer resistant to the process. So, they tesser across another stretch… but they land in a two-dimensional world!(2) They're moved on again before any major damage can be done, but Charles is furious at the mistake until he's sure it was an accident.
They've stopped on a planet in Orion's Belt, where they have a friend and can get a look at Earth. Meg asks when they can go home, and worries about her mother, but Mrs Whatsit assures Meg that they wrinkled time as well as space, so they won't be missing at all.(3)
Calvin remarks that they can't exactly see much of the planet, and Meg finally notices that they're surrounded by thick fog. Mrs Whatsit suggests they walk to where they're going from here, it'll do everyone good. Soon they come to a cave, where Mrs Whatsit says the Happy Medium works, and oh, the children will love her.
Mrs Which comments that Mrs Whatsit is talking so much, even for one so young. Calvin asks her age, and she says she's "2,379,152,497 years, 8 months, and 3 days" old.(4)
They enter the cave, and soon see flickering light. Mrs Whatsit says they asked the Happy Medium to have a bonfire going, to help keep it warm enough for the children. When they finally meet her,(5) Mrs Whatsit asks her to show them Earth. The Happy Medium asks why they should look at something so unpleasant, but Mrs Which tells her there won't be pleasant things to look at if someone doesn't do something about the darkness.
So, the Happy Medium zooms her crystal ball in to view Earth, shrouded in the shadow. Meg asks if it's only come since they left, but no, Mrs Whatsit says it's been there a long time. They all hate it, and when Meg asks what happens next, Mrs Which says, they will continue to fight. This heartens the children, and Mrs Whatsit adds that there are people all over the cosmos helping too, and people throughout human history have been fighting as well. They start naming famous figures, starting of course with Jesus, and especially focusing on white ones.(6)
Meg asks where they're going, and Mrs Which says, to her father, on a planet that's given in to the darkness. Then, the Happy Medium bids the children watch something else, making to change the image in her crystal ball.(7)
=====
(1) L'Engle surely wasn't the only one to be writing about this stuff, but so many of the concepts that were revolutionary in the 1960s are so commonplace now, as to not necessarily need these explanations at all except for quite young readers. And, I still think it's kind of fun to see wormhole theory right alongside such deep Christianity. (2) Not literally possible in our universe, but nice try. Also, who could have seen this coming after the dimension talk? (3) Do you see what she did there? (4) Certainly, we have no concept of how long aliens might live. (5) Well, Meg has finally found a Happy Medium, though perhaps not the one everyone kept suggesting she look for. (6) Yep, that's children's lit in 1962 for you. (7) Now, that's no place to end a chapter!

ooh can i ask what story the girl turning into the spider is from? it sounds sweet!
oh uh... it's sweet in the sense that, even though pretty much everything goes wrong, some things still go right?
Tavra (spider girl) is a very stoic, somewhat blunt and socially awkward, generally grim, only ever laughs bitterly but will gently stroke your cheek and remind you to keep moving forward main supporting character in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance YA books written by J.M. Lee. (mostly in the third one, tides of the dark crystal) (SPOILERS) She's... kinda like the older sister figure / adopted mom / eventual one half of fav OTP to the three point of view characters? Her whole thing is being ready to sacrifice herself and her happiness for the sake of saving people, enduring pain without flinching even while telling others to be careful, repeatedly almost dying and smiling about it....
....except that she really, really, REALLY wants to see her girlfriend again, too. Especially after kinda sorta dying and getting spider-ed.
Her uncharacteristic rashness and nervousness when showing herself to Onica- and Onica's zero hesitation to reach out to the small spider that sounds like Tavra- is the first clue these two are A Thing.
They've been a thing for a loooong while. A forbidden secret romance kinda thing.
Onica turns out to be outwardly the sun to Tavra's cloudy day, except she's actually still VERY angry at Mayrin (Tavra's mother) for being a jerk, and VERY bitter over how Mayrin treated Tavra over their relationship- and while Tavra tries making excuses for her mom the best she can come up with in the end is a damningly faint "that was a long time ago". Which. Well.
Anyway, up till now Tavra has always taken on the role the Experienced And Steady Advisor and Guardian to her new younger friends, but once she's back on Onica's ship (Onica is a single crew sailing ship captain able to dream of things happening far away have i mentioned that?) Tavra starts finally relaxing enough to show some of the stresses she's been under lately, even going off and 'mope' when her attempt at teaching one young friend how not to get killed with a sword goes badly.
(moping is described as Tavra "just being Tavra") (her kinda new little sister is the one saying this) (Tavra can be recognized in any form by her dower frown) (especially funny when Onica is constantly described as laughing and chuckling and wearing a mysterious smile)
So blah blah blah, Onica is a the good kind of terrifying and almost dies, Tavra saves her via the power of gay flashbacks with the help of their new number 1 shipper-
Then Onica's bestie, who is in huge awe of Tavra, tries to push a traumatized depressed disabled woman in the body of a spider into leading all their people in revolution bc she'd be ideal for it- and Onica very pointed says that you can't help others if you don't take time to help yourself before going off to presumably snuggle her sad spider gf.
The two are last seen in the books as Tavra's sorta adopted teen son Kylan-
(who turned her into a spider to save while committing murder despite generally being a pacific presumably bc of the trauma of watch his birth parents get snatched away by murders as a child)
-decides to look at some runes, and Tavra says she and Onica will stay with him.
So. Tavra never gets her old body back, and her mom is murdered, and part of her soul is drained and eaten, and her sisters probably think she's dead- but she also does not die. By the end of the story she is happy with the family she has found, and finally fulfilling her and Onica's promise to someday live their lives as one.
Oh did i mention there's a parallel between her and Onica's secret forbidden romance and the more tragic example that kicks of the whole story?
Did i mention Onica calls Tavra "my love"?
And Tavra was a swordswoman before becoming a spider?
I don't know if you wanted or needed all this info and I don't care, there will never be enough stuff about these two written but by gods i will take ever chance to scream about them
And that's how my arachnophobia was cured!!!

My Thoughts On Proud Family Louder & Prouder: Maya Did The Right Thing (but I wish I could slap that blonde teacher.) And Other Stuff To Talk About...
[Note: Don’t Reblog Without Permission. also small spoilers about Proud Family Louder & Prouder Season 2 Episode 10, but I’m not going to give out too much from the episode....also going to talk about other stuff as well...........also reading this is optional, so you don’t have to if you don’t want to but only read this if you want to.]
even if I need to try to find the episode where it was talked about some info that isn’t talked about, that I had found in two videos by two different youtubers...
but even if it is two different episodes, and I am going to watch all the episodes, and catch up with some that I haven’t seen yet.
Maya did the right thing in finding the truth in that episode, and while a uncle isn’t really a ancestor, but is more of a sibling of one’s ancestor or ancestress...
I kind of wish I could slap that blonde teacher for her little comment, like it doesn’t make sense for a black or white person to have a ancestor who is of a different race...
I am going to try to find the episode that had that one clip that had those two youtubers explaining how it was leaving out some info in history, maybe I should start from the first episode, and work my way from there.
also I don’t think my wanting to slap that teacher, even if I know it isn’t possible....has anything to do with my Irish or Scottish heritage, I know I have a mix of different ancestors from different places, same as other people on this planet.
and maybe there can be misunderstandings of white racism in the show, and they don’t mean for it to seem that way, plus we can’t just see one half of a whole picture, if we are kept in the dark about some parts of history how are we suppose to learn from it and grow as part of Omnimanity, you know like humans are part of Humanity, but also for non-humans that are from space, and plus humans that would make up Omnimanity....
also if there is a bubble around our universe, it would mean that one of the books I have is right, and our universe is under quarantine, I think it was in that book by Timothy Wyllie, the book is called Confessions Of A Rebel Angel...
or there could be a different reasons for the bubble besides quarantine....
I’m still going to view Watcher Angels and a few other Angels, as Eon-Boomers...and Georgia from that book will count as a Eon-Boomer....since she was part of that rebellion, or should I say Toxic-Rebellion...
Devil from Cuphead Show, pretty sure he is both a Eon-Boomer and a Himbo.
he seems to have his adorable and clueless moments, and seems to give off that whole himbo thing...
anyway, maybe before we judge the Proud Family: Louder & Prouder for being “Anti-White” and some other stuff that has some humans triggered...
I still want to at least give that Velma Show a chance before I fully decide if I like it or hate it.....
also I do love Weird Al’s parody songs, and is it weird I don’t mind that a cartoon version of him seems to get on Velma, Daphne and Fred’s nerves...
I mean not everyone has to like his music, but I don’t mind that those three get bothered by it.....he and Jim Henson, are one of the few I’m proud to be distant cousins with, also just because I found that out, doesn’t mean we know each other, so don’t ask me to do any favors.
it’s like when you find out you are family to someone super famous, and some people believe you can have them meet them, when you know that isn’t possible because you haven’t even met them....
also if anyone should pick up on the Dark Crystal Age Of Resistance, maybe it should be Paramount, at least that is my view.....it does suck that they cancelled it on Netflix.
so help me if they do the same with Sonic Prime, they might not know what they have unleashed, because a lot of fans might get SUPER SONIC MAD....
so hopefully there be some sense in those who work at Netflix, to NOT let that happen....
and maybe some people only see the bad side of Maya, and not the good sides, and I believe that she did the right thing by pointing out that Grunkle of her Dad’s, wasn’t a good person and was a slave owner...
and yeah, her Dad tried to deny the truth, which later on he does finally accept it, even if he didn’t like it.
and it took a squad of cops, and his children and their friends being in danger and being arrested, for him to finally accept that ugly truth.
sometimes there will be dark secrets in history that not every human will want to accept, like how there were white slaves, I saw a video that talked about it...
like if it were true that Jesus had a family with Mary Magdalene, that is a part of history that some humans don’t want to be seen as true, so they try to make it like it is 100% fictional.
and yeah Proud Family series is a Fictional World, and is a cartoon, and might touch on some real life problems and that can happen in any show or movie or video game....
I mean Tali and Ashley from Mass Effect Series, can be a bit of a Shisno.
they only get more better, when they let go of their shisno ways.
and if it was possible to romance a Geth in the future, that would be great...
can just hold hands and watch some movies.
romance can be different for anyone, it doesn’t always have to be about s*x.
but try telling that to some Acephobic jerks....
plus you can’t just “fix” someone who is Ace, plus my whole panic attack in the car that time, is separate from my being Aroaceflux, so it is NOT the same...
I just went through the fear during that time a few years ago, which if I remember right, it was around 2015.....and yeah the fear was being alone in the car....and the danger of being harmed, and is one of the reasons why I don’t like being outside alone without family and maybe friends, to trust....
I haven’t had that panic attack of hyperventilating in the car since that one time.....but anyone can go through that, not just me.
and yeah I did hit my head on the ceiling of the car during that time.
I guess we can do stupid stuff when we either get really mad or scared.
even when it comes to some shows that show what seems to be “Anti-White” but we could turn out not be seeing the full picture, and only see what we assume is that way.
I want to at least try to give Proud Family: Louder & Prouder a chance, and see if some stuff that is pointed out about it, is right or wrong or somewhere in between.
I still wish I could slap that teacher, who I couldn’t help but have the word “Karen” pop into my head when listening to her....I kind of forgot her name...
I mean not all my ancestors were White or from America (some were from different places in the world.), and I have some Ancestors that had a freaking Harem, that is like a lot of Step-Grandmothers, which would be like a lot of Grandmother Day Cards to give out.
King Solomon being one of those who had a Harem, and lucky me I’m from the line from him, that doesn’t get the throne, once again that ain’t a a curse, that is a freaking blessing, so jokes on those who still view it as a curse. XD
and yes besides talking about the episode from Proud Family: Louder & Prouder, I’m talking about other stuff, too.
also the episode isn’t that bad, it does show some ugly side where some humans don’t want to hear the ugly truth about a person, even their own distant nephew not wanting to accept the ugly truth.
but things do work out in the end...and I’m not going to give out too much about the episode....
but I’m going to try to watch all the episodes, starting with the first episode and working up to the episode that had been brought up over on Youtube.
and it’s possible that even when we try to fight injustice and fight for a true cause that needs justice, there will be trouble trying to get some words heard and at times it can come out as a misunderstanding, and your words don’t really get through, because it can be misinterpreted.
or like if you try to tell someone the truth about someone who lived a long time ago, and it is a really bad and ugly truth, the one you tell it to might not want to accept it.
at least I can accept the truth about the whole Town Destroyer that had to do with George Washington, I think it had to do with his Grandfather....I will need to look it up again....
but yes that it one of ugly truths.
sometimes history isn’t going to be pretty, and there can be many things that we might not know about some history.
I think I want to at least give the new Proud Family series a chance, plus maybe there is a misunderstanding, I don’t know....but maybe things aren’t all as they seem.
I didn’t think I would have to talk about well, some possible problems that some humans point out in a show, I mean there was that whole problem I had with that one video that I found out about that had to do with Jenn Nizza, which I don’t 100% agree with her, only that I can agree that crystals can be misused, but it doesn’t mean using them and other gems are bad, if you use them in the correct way....I’m going to try to stay away from any videos with her in in for a while....like a super long while.
I don’t think that episode was too bad, but when Maya was arguing with that teacher, about her Dad being related to that one guy.....only for the mention that Maya is adopted, did that teacher lady seem to calm down and seem to find it making sense.....seriously, if it were possible, I would slap that woman over the head.
yeah I had a problem with that teacher, who once again I forgot her name...
and I know I took offense to her words, maybe because of my own mix heritage and what she implied.
maybe some will understand what I mean and why I would take offense to that woman’s words.
maybe I will wait until tomorrow to watch Proud Family: Louder & Prouder from the first season and first episode and work my way to the other episodes.
I just want to relax, and maybe play some video games, and try to take my mind off of stuff that has to do with Jenn Nizza, and some people pointing out the possible negative stuff about the new Proud Family series...
sorry if I can’t talk too much about the episode, but I do think it’s great that Maya stood up for what was right and one of her Dads finally accept the truth.
and I guess some will have a problem with certain words being used in it,
like “white privilege” for one, but maybe that word wasn’t really used seriously.
I’m going to check out a few art on here, then I’m going to go back on my Xbox One, and the next post I make is going to be a theory about either one of my favorite video games or shows.....I just want to try to relax....maybe I can talk more about the Proud Family, once I watch all the episodes.

TV Recap! (Part 3)
No Spoilers!
The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance: E1–5 or so
When creators care enough about their content that they take the time and expense to tell their story with puppets, it adds a certain refreshing quality and elevates their content beyond mere “thwack something together because the studio paid us.” It really makes things enjoyable to watch. That said, the story itself is a bit simplistic, the overall experience a bit hollow, and it’s littered with de-immersive scenes where it's clear these are puppets. Despite that, it’s a shame this was canceled because this level of dedication should be praised and promoted.
My enjoyment: 4/5
Star Trek: Prodigy S1
Akina and I finished watching all of it. Overall this was fairly competent and—despite its flaws—was nevertheless an enjoyable watch. It’s obviously not “Star Trek” to me, but as a kid’s action/adventure show, it did what it needed to and I have no significant criticisms in that regard.
My enjoyment: 3/5
Star Wars: The Dad Batch S2E1 and S2E2:
I properly “reviewed” S2E3, but for completion here’s a note on the first two E’s of the S. These two were essentially a two-parter split by a proper cliffhanger and involve the Dad Batch—together with a more tolerable, mature Omega—on a mission to steal a crate of Count Dooku’s gold. Fun shenanigans and action ensue. I really have no serious complaints so far and there’s plenty more positives than negatives. I plan on posting “reviews” of individual episodes as I watch them.
My enjoyment: 4/5
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: S1
Speaking of “not Star Trek”... It took years, but I can now articulate a main gripe I have with “new trek” content. It comes down to the writing of the characters. The people in “old trek” were always portrayed as mature and intelligent. They behaved with poise and acted like professional adults. Growing up with that, it was a huge influence on me and many of my personal role models came from Star Trek, shaping me as an adult, grounding my morality, and influencing my career choices. So when “new trek” shits all over those characters (my role models), it’s unpleasant in a deeply personal way. But even when it makes its own (new) characters, the new creations act like immature teenagers rather than professional adults. It’s uncomfortable to listen to them sharing personal feelings, making snarky quips, or spouting insubordination to superior officers without repercussion. Anyways, regarding the show itself, it’s not atrociously bad. There’s at least some funny bits and it benefits tremendously from its episodic nature.
My enjoyment: 2/5
Johnny Quest, S1, E1 and E2
In the first episode, the Quests discover a mad scientist with a laser ray in the Sargasso Sea who intends to use it to destroy the launch of the first space shuttle. In the second episode, the Quests bring along a racist stereotype to the Arctic to recover a lost missile. There’s some seriously creepy vibes here between Race Bannon and Johnny, akin to the cockpit scene in Airplane. (“Joey. You like movies about gladiators?”) Aside from that, Bandit (the dog) is fucking annoying and distracts from everything happening. Go away, you ceaselessly yapping piece of shit. Hadji should smother it with his turban.
My enjoyment: 1/5
