i don't go here and don't really plan on it anyway, but holy shit, people are like... atrocious when it comes to dungeon meshi spoilers nowadays with the anime releasing. i remember back when it was just a manga people were pretty dedicated to being respectful, and that feels like it's been pretty much entirely wiped by the anime's arrival. i think it's sorta indicative of a broader online culture issue that i've been noticing has only been increasing over time as the need to consume media becomes as rapid-fire as it is now and then the added assumption is that clearly everyone is as ahead of the game as you are now, plus an overall just lack of respect to others online. i know it probably doesn't seem that serious, but as someone who's really invested in media analysis and the like, it almost feels like it's disrespectful not just to other people but to the creation itself. i don't love it.
(and yes, i know if a whole series relies on a spoiler not being presented to be any good then that's not a good quality series. that's not what i am referring to here.)
#skylar talks#just kinda really. SHRUG about the whole thing.#i also considered adding thoughts i have about how meme culture fits into this#but i felt that would be. a little too controversial for this site.#so just take this at face value#dare i tag this as dungeon meshi and potentially face the wrath#or do i just let this little rant of mine fade into obscurity#... i'll opt for the latter for now#i like my little corner of the internet even if a little drama sounds funny now
