CRASH!

"Watch where you're going!"

I scrunched my face, trying to figure out what the hell was happening as I got dragged awake by a hushed commotion from my living room. I squinted through the dark at the alarm clock only to be near-blinded by the bright green glow:

4:03am

I groaned, rolling over on my other side to see my girlfriend, Jane foster, rubbing at her eyes.

"Hey," I managed, my voice gravelly. Jane turned to me with squinted eyes, somehow still managing to make that cute. "What's happening?"

"I don't know. Did you hear-?"

The door to our shared bedroom slammed open, and I shot straight up in bed. Silhouetted in the doorway was an absolutely giant man, long blond hair glowing with the backlighting. I thought I might be hallucinating until Jane sat forward and spoke up.

"Thor?"

"Thor?" I couldn't help echoing. The man before us just beamed.

"Hello! I apologize for interrupting the two of you - I truly wouldn't be here if it weren't urgent."

I frowned, even as Jane sat forward further.

"How did you-?"

Before she could get all the way through her question, the answer popped out from behind Thor.

"Jane, I'm so sorry!"

Darcy Lewis peeked around Thor's massive form to pop her head into the room. I huffed a sigh and flopped back against the pillows. I normally liked Darcy, but not at four in the morning. I didn't like anyone but Jane at four in the morning.

"Darcy, what's going on?"

"He just showed up at the lab!" said Darcy, pushing past Thor even further into the room. "I was there doing... stuff with Ian, and he just appeared in a blast of light like the first time we met him."

"I need your help, Jane," Thor said, stepping in to pick up the story where Darcy left off. "Something is coming for Midgard, and if we don't stop it here, it will not only lay waste to your planet, but it will aim for mine next."

Jane sighed like that wasn't the most terrifying sentence in the world, then stood at last. I'd known her long enough that I was also a little too used to this kind of thing, so I didn't move to get up, even as Jane turned to me with furrowed eyebrows.

"I'm sorry about this," she said. I gave her a tired grin and a wink.

"That's okay. I know my girlfriend's a badass who has to help save the world sometimes."

Jane flushed, and I heard Darcy make a gagging noise at the same time Thor said "aw". I ignored them both, however, as I shifted slightly lower against the headboard, working my way back to being under the covers.

"I hope you'll forgive me going back to sleep instead of getting up to help you with this, though."

Jane gave me a soft smile, leaning down across the bed to kiss me softly on the forehead. I smiled up at her, the love of my life, shooting her a little wink as I nestled down among the blankets again. I watched her walk to the door, collecting Thor and Darcy as she went, all three of them stepping out into the living room. Jane shut the door softly behind her, and I finally closed my eyes. I sighed, settling back down into the soft, warm blankets around me. I almost got all the way back to sleep before I heard another loud crash from the living room, followed by Jane's whispered reprimand, not quite loud enough for me to make out the words.

I sighed, then flung the blankets off of myself and started trudging for the living room. Peaceful sleep was likely out of the question, and I should probably go support my girlfriend anyway. I'd go to the ends of the Earth for Jane, and that was all well and good, but nobody talked about dragging yourself out of bed to go a hundred feet at four in the morning. That was the true test of love.

As soon as I cleared the bedroom door, shuffling in like a zombie, I found Thor leaning over the dining table with Darcy in the kitchen, Jane hovering over Darcy's shoulder and trying to take a bowl out of her hand.

"I'm gonna make us pancakes!" hissed Darcy, clearly trying to be quiet despite how miserably she was failing. Jane hissed back in the same tone.

"No! It's too loud, and it's four am! Just come help me go over the stuff Thor brought-"

"I'll make pancakes," I said. Jane and Darcy both froze, mid-wrestle, and turned to me, Thor looking up too with a grin on his face.

"Honey! Are you sure?" asked Jane, letting go of the bowl and taking a few steps towards me. I gave her my best tired smile and closed the rest of the distance between us, wrapping one arm around her waist.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I can't just leave my superhero girlfriend high and dry in a possibly-world-ending situation with no one to make pancakes and coffee," I said, giving her a kiss on the forehead. She smiled as Darcy piped up from the kitchen.

"Maybe start with coffee first."

"Oh, definitely start with coffee first," I agreed, at last releasing Jane and heading into the kitchen. I sighed as I finally, successfully took the bowl from Darcy, setting it down next to the coffee maker as I got things together to brew a fresh pot.

Thankfully, it didn't take long to get a coffee in my hand, then in the hands of the three people crowded around the dining table. I took a long sip of my own drink, then got to work on the pancakes while the others tried to troubleshoot whatever emergency Thor had shown up with.

Based on their tones and lack of overall panic, I had full confidence they'd find a solution to whatever the issue was. Jane especially loved nothing more than solving a challenging problem, and every time I looked over at her, her face was alight with the spark that I'd fallen in love with. Even though it was four in the morning.

Finally, the first batch of pancakes was ready to come off the griddle. Thor wandered over to me as I grabbed a spatula and started serving them up, leaving Jane and Darcy at the dining table.

"Is there anything I can do to assist you?" he asked, leaning on the counter next to me as I worked. I shook my head.

"Nope! Just go ahead and dive in. I'd tell you to bring some over to Jane and Darcy, but I know my girlfriend too well to suggest you bring syrup anywhere near a project she's working on."

Thor chuckled and grabbed a plate full of pancakes, moving to sit at the stool on the other side of the counter from me.

"You and Jane make a wonderful couple," he said, digging into the pancakes with no hesitation. I smiled at him, then let my gaze wander over to Jane behind his back. She hunched over the information before her, moving it around and discussing theories with Darcy. My smile widened as I watched her, a warm glow spreading through my heart that only intensified as she caught me looking and gave me a gorgeous smile of her own. She turned back to her work, and I reluctantly turned my attention back to the pancakes and the Asgardian before me.

"She's the best. Makes it easy to be a good couple, when my partner's so wonderful," I said. Thor hummed, a comfortable silence resting between the two of us. Despite how early and against my will I'd been dragged out of bed, and despite the less-than-casual circumstances, we'd found ourselves in a little bubble of pre-sunrise peace. I'd follow Jane anywhere, anytime, especially since sudden 4am intrusions often turned into little moments like this.

if the mood strikes, i would like to hear more about "doom is darcy's dad." for instance, what sort of absurdly safe and hideous armored car does she get when she turns 16? how does he deal with that one teacher who unfairly gives her lower grades? does he make a full suit of armor for her when she wants to go as daddy for Halloween when she is 5?

It’s not the armored car that gets Ms. Lewis’s goat, so to speak, it’s the magic lessons.  Darcy comes back from her first summer in Latveria and immediately starts babbling to her mother about all the handy little functional magic spells her dad taught her.  Ms. Lewis is torn between appreciating the “hands off” spell since it will drastically reduce Darcy’s chances of being kidnapped, and utter bemusement at the fact that he has, effectively, turned their child into a real life Hermione Granger.

(But also, um, the armored car is a little hard to explain.  It is Not Subtle and the neighbors ask several uncomfortable questions which Ms. Lewis fends off expertly until Darcy oh-so-sweetly asks her dad to replace it with something a bit more environmentally friendly.)

The weirdest gift Darcy received in her teenage years was the dedicated assistant he tried to assign her when she turned seventeen and started applying for colleges.  Darcy managed to thoroughly corrupt the girl with the Normal American Teenage Experience and bullied her dad into paying for Andie to go to college in New York.

He later attempted to stealthily sneak another “assistant” into her life, but Darcy saw through it and ended up making him her “intern” instead.

Chapter 12: Reality Gone Haywire

Over a year had passed since the battle of New York. You felt like you had settled into your new life on earth. You had a great group of friends, Steve being your closest out of all of them. You had also kept in contact with Jane and her friends too.

You had been hanging out with Steve when you had gotten a call from Darcy asking you to come to London. Ever since New York, Dr Selvig’s mind hasn’t been coping well. Apparently he was mumbling about some numbers that they wanted you to have a look at. See if they were related to something Asgardian or not.

So a flight to England later you were walking through the streets of London. When you’d visited Dr Selvig you could see that his rambling were not completely incoherent. You didn’t understand them enough to fully grasp what he was mumbling about.

“Maybe Jane’s equipment has been picking stuff up” Darcy suggested as the two of you left Dr Selvig.

Darcey took you to Jane’s house, which technically was her mother’s house slash lab. When the two of you read over the equipment you saw that it was reading the exact same thing as what Dr Selvig had been saying.

“We need to show this to Jane” you say looking at one of the monitors.

“Yeah, I wonder where she is” Darcy says glancing around.

She then spots Jane’s diary on the side, flicking through it until she found today’s date.

“Bingo, I know where she is, now come on” Darcy says before quickly leaving.

Darcy drove the two of you to a restaurant near the river. You waited outside while Darcy went to find Jane. A few minutes later Darcy walked back out but Jane was nowhere to be seen.

“Was she not there?” You ask as the two of you walk back to the car.

“No she was, just give her a few” Darcy says getting into the car while eating a crunchy piece of bread.

A few moments later Jane appeared getting into the passenger seat.

“I hate you” she sighed glaring over at Darcy.

“What? I said he was cute” Darcy says shrugging her shoulders.

Jane sighs running her hand through her hair spotting you in the rear view mirror as she does so.

“Y/N? What are you doing here?” She asks turning round in surprise.

“Darcy called me in, I assumed you already knew” you tell her making Jane glare at her friend once again.

“What? Y/N recognises some of the stuff Erik’s been on about, I told you we should have called her in” Darcy defends.

“Just shut up and drive” Jane sighs.

As you drove Jane tried to make a call to Erik, but he wasn’t picking up. Eventually you pulled up by some abandoned buildings, as you got out of the car another pulled up.

“Who’s this?” Jane asks point to the guy who had just gotten out of the car.

“My intern, grab the phase meter” Darcy says to the new guy.

“Ian” he says introducing himself.

Jane just nods before walking off, you following after her. The two of you look around at the upturned shipping containers and trucks. Janes phone then starts ringing, a hip hop song being the call tone.

She grumbled pulling it out “how do I change the ringtone on this thing?” She asks as she answers it.

“An astrophysicist with three degrees should be able to change her own ringtone” Darcy says through the phone.

“Technology is complicated” you say making Jane nod her head slightly.

“Why are you calling me?” Jane asks turning to Darcy.

“I didn’t wanna shout, Intern says it’s this way” Darcy explains as she walks over hanging up the phone.

“Ian, my names Ian” Ian grumbled as the 4 of you walk towards one of the abandoned buildings.

As you walk through the abandoned building pigeons flying off suddenly making all of you jump. Especially when you hear the sound of someone running.

“I am not getting shot in the name of science” Darcy mumbled before holding her hands up.

“Its okay we’re Americans” she shouts.

Three kids then appear out of their hiding spots making all of you sigh in relief.

“Oh they’re kids” Jane sighs.

“Are you the police?” The little girl asks.

“No we’re scientists, well I am” Jane explains, Darcy grumbling beside her.

“We just found it” one of the boys says making you furrow your brows in confusion.

“Can you show us?” You ask looking at the three kids.

The three kids glance around at each other before nodding their heads and leading you further into the building. They lead you into a room with a glass ceiling, another truck in the centre.

One of the kids walks over to it, putting just two fingers underneath the front bumper. You watch in complete shock as the truck begins to lift up and float. No longer affected by gravity.

“What the hell” you mutter under your breath.

“That doesn’t seem right” Darcy says as you all watch the truck slowly turn in mid-air.

“Come on there’s more” the girl says leading you up some stairs.

Once you were nearly at the stop of the stairs one of the boys drops a bottle down the middle. You watch as it falls past you but then completely disappear.

“Where’d it go?” Jane asks and the girl points upwards.

You all look up and a few moments later the bottle reappears above you and continues to fall again. It disappears again only to reappear above you again, creating a perfect loop until one of the kids grabs the bottle.

“That’s incredible” Jane says shaking her head in disbelief.

“It’s like someone or something is messing with reality” you mutter as Jane grabs a discarded can.

She drops it and you watch it disappeared like the bottle, only this time it doesn’t reappear above you.

“What happened?” Jane asks looking up confused.

“Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don’t” the little girl explains shrugging her shoulders.

“I wanna throw something! Jane give me your shoe” Darcy says but Jane ignores her looking instead at her equipment.

“I haven’t seen readings like this since... since...” Jane says trailing off.

“Since what?” You ask.

“Since your brother” Darcy smirks.

Jane shakes her head slightly before running off “don’t touch anything”

The kids take you to another place where you could drop stuff and have it reappear. You watch as they all giggle throwing stuff in and watching it disappeared. You couldn’t help but smile as you watched them, it was pretty cool after all. It only went wrong when Ian decided to throw the car keys in, which were the one thing that didn’t reappear.

“Should we check on Jane?” You ask glancing around.

“Nah when she’s like this it’s better to leave her to it” Darcy says waving it off.

Some more time passed and Jane still hadn’t returned. You had a bad feeling in your gut.

“Something’s not right, we need to find Jane” you say glancing around.

Darcy looks over at you and you could see she too was starting to get nervous about Jane’s whereabouts. You all start looking around the warehouse, splitting up in a hope of finding her sooner. Hours passed and you had searched the entire area with no sign of her. Darcy eventually calling the cops.

The two of you were talking to one of the cops when Jane suddenly appeared walking out of the building. Darcy runs over to her while you stay with the police officer informing them that Jane had just returned. You thank them for their help as the heavens open and torrential rain begins to fall.

You run over to Jane hearing her complain to Darcy that you had called the cops.

“Jane! You were gone for five hours!” Darcy exclaims making Jane stop.

“What?” She asks confused glancing over at you, you nod you head confirming what Darcy had said.

You then all look over at each other confused as despite the torrential rain none of you were getting wet. Looking around you notice a perfect circle around you of dry ground.

“That’s weird” Darcy says.

As you look up you spot the reason why, tapping Jane on the shoulder you point over. Just meters away was Thor stood watching the three of you. Jane quickly walks over to him, the invisible force field following her over leaving the rain to fall on you and Darcy.

“Can’t you stop this? With your powers” Darcy asks hunched over slightly.

“Not when it’s controlled by him” you grumble looking over at your brother.

You watch as Jane greets Thor with a slap across the face. Not once but twice. You wince slightly but you kinda understood why she did it.

Darcy then runs over interrupting the two of them. You following after her.

“Hey is this you?” Darcy asks.

Thor glances up at the sky before making the rain completely stop.

“Uh, we’re kind of in the middle of something here” Jane says.

Thor then smiles over at you walking over and giving you a tight hug.

“Sister it is good to see you again” he chuckles.

“Good to see you too brother” you smile.

“Um sorry but I’m pretty sure we are getting arrested” Darcy says nodding over to the police.

“Hold that thought” Jane says before running off towards the police.

“Look at you still all muscly and everything, how space?” She asks poking at his armour.

“Space is fine” he chuckles “how’s earth you been keeping it safe” he asks turning to you.

“As best as I can” you smirk shrugging your shoulders.

Suddenly a large explosion of red energy occurs making you all duck for cover. You see all the police cars with their windows smashed and everyone lying on the floor.

You and Thor run over to Jane who was lying on her back.

“Jane, are you alright?” Thor asks as he helps her sit up.

“What just happened?” She asks as she stand up.

“Place your hands on your head and step back” one of the police officers demands.

“Thor look” you say noticing the odd veins in Jane’s arm.

“This woman is unwell” Thor says to the police officer.

“She is dangerous” the officer retorts.

“So am I” Thor warns glaring at the officer.

You glance up at Thor having a silent conversation with him before he tells Jane to hold on tight, wrapping his arms around her.

Suddenly the three of you were transported back to Asgard. Landing in the now fully repaired Bifrost.

“Welcome home sister” Thor smiles.

“Welcome to Asgard” Heimdall says turning to Jane.

I re-watched Thor 2 recently and I really think everyone needs to be reminded that one of Dr. Jane Foster's funniest traits is how she's such an immediate ride-or-die.

Prompt: Canon fix-it. Most of the events in Thor: The Dark World happen while Tony is otherwise occupied dealing with the events of Iron Man 3 (and trying to figure out how to keep Extremis from blowing up Pepper), so J.A.R.V.I.S. decides to send some of the Iron Legion to London to help out with the apparent alien invasion. As a result, after the battle is won, Thor decides he should call on his shield brother to thank him for his assistance, and he, Jane, Selvig, Darcy, and Ian the intern all head to Stark Tower in New York (since Tony’s Malibu home has been destroyed and that’s where he’s eventually relocated with the bots) to see friend Anthony (right before Tony decides to use Extremis on himself so that he can have both the arc reactor and the shrapnel threatening his heart removed), with the result that Tony, J.A.R.V.I.S., Jane, and Selvig convince Thor to leave the Aether there, so that it can be studied and Tony can help make absolutely sure that Jane won’t suffer any lasting harm from having acted as a temporary host for the Reality Stone. Due to the proposed increase in work, J.A.R.V.I.S. convinces Tony to activate an AI program he’s been working on, tentatively named Ultron, since that program is closest to complete, even though the program isn’t nearly capable of what Tony would like it to be able to do. Ultron is allowed to assume over half of the work associated with Stark Industries, so that J.A.R.V.I.S. can concentrate on Sir and on keeping Sir safe while he investigates the Aether. Meanwhile, partially due to a request from Pepper (who does not appreciate being used as one of Tony’s major points of vulnerability and would like to be able to protect herself. She appreciates being offered a suit of her own and gladly promises to train as Rescue in case of emergencies, but she’d prefer not to have to rely solely on a suit), Tony also keeps tinkering with Extremis, in case there’s another way to fix it that won’t require stripping out most of what makes it useful so that it won’t put people in danger of blowing up, which involves reaching out to experts in the medical field … and brings him into contact with a certain snarky perfectionist genius neurosurgeon by the name of Dr. Stephen Strange.

Bonus points if the following all happen at some point in the story: acting as host to the Aether has altered Dr. Jane Foster on the genetic level, which is how she becomes capable of wielding Mjölnir and becomes Lady Thor; Thor visits the dwarves and has them make him Stormbreaker so that he can gift Mjölnir to Jane; when the Aether makes herself at home where the arc reactor used to be, Extremis and the remnants of the palladium poisoning interact with Aether to make Tony a technopath; technopath Tony just manages to ground the helicariers in DC and stop the release of all of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s or SHIELDRA’s files online, so thousands of relatively innocent agents, employees, informants, and their family members aren’t all suddenly burned but all of Hydra’s dirty laundry gets released; Tony finds out about the Winter Soldier having murdered his parents before anyone can lie to him about it (along with a lot of files about hostile aliens. Yikes! Maybe it’s past time to make the Avengers worldwide instead of just one team based in the US) and eventually vows to “destroy” the Winter Soldier (and coincidentally rescue Bucky Barnes) in response, since he can tell the difference between a weapon and a man; Jane as Lady Thor has Tony’s back and so Wanda can’t mind-rape him in Sokovia; more precautions are taken with the Scepter, so the malevolent sentience in it doesn’t get the chance to steal Ultron’s name or to kill/hijack Ultron or J.A.R.V.I.S., even if it does eventually get out; the escaping malevolent sentience from the Scepter (which Tony and, thus, the rest of the scientists decide to call the malevolent magical parasite or M.M.P.) eventually escapes via the internet and infiltrates Pym Technologies after being blocked from Stark Industries by Ultron and J.A.R.V.I.S, hijacking the Yellowjacket suit (killing Darren Cross in the process and assuming the name of Yellowjacket, even though Tony keeps calling him the M.M.P.) and forcing Pym, Hope van Dyne, and Scott Lang to work with Tony and the Avengers to stop it from wreaking havoc all over the globe, especially once M.M.P. uses Yellowjacket to steal the Scepter back (and it’s all hands on deck, at that point, which means that Pepper immediately steps up and puts on the Rescue suit). Wanda and Pietro Maximoff get treated like the dangerous Hydra agents they are and Steve is treated as mentally compromised for suddenly sympathizing so openly with them; Ultron in one of the Iron Legion armors on sentry mode prevents Wanda from getting close enough to Bruce to set off the Hulk (though most of the others – including Ant-Man, who has to be contained by Wasp, though Lady Thor and Rescue are in the air with Iron Man and therefore protected – are still mind-raped, which means they’re not at all happy when Steve seems to want to treat the murder twins like they’re just a couple of misguided kids. Natasha and Clint in particular are not at all happy with Steve); J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron use aspects of their codes to cobble together the basis of another AI to download into the synthetic body that the M.M.P. has forced Helen Cho to grow him so he’s not dependent on the Yellowjacket suit, resulting in a somewhat dragon-hearted version of Vision; between J.A.R.V.I.S., Ultron, Tony, Vision, and everyone else working together, Novi Grad doesn’t get ripped out of the ground, the M.M.P. is dealt with (without any help from the murder twins or Steve, since they’ve all been sidelined from the battle) without causing a major disaster in Sokovia. After retreating to the Yellowjacket suit, the last bit of the M.M.P. are dealt with when Ant-Man and Wasp manage to trap him in the quantum realm. Hydra files prove that the supposed “bomb” that killed the Maximoff parents actually resulted from actions taken by Hydra, on orders from Strucker, to perpetuate the Sokovian Civil War (a US airplane was shot down and part of it and it’s payload, including a missile – which didn’t go off because it wasn’t activated – fell on their apartment), which results in genuine changes of heart from Pietro and (eventually) Wanda, though Wanda has to go through training under the Ancient One before she completely loses her bad attitude. Tony has promised to help Hope rescue her mom from the quantum realm, he still wants to work on Extremis, he and Dr. Strange seem to working on a line of medical protheses and B.A.R.F., the Aether is still an issue, the Avengers need to be global and that means Tony needs to get the UN working with them and to get rid of Thaddeus Ross before he can become a problem (thankfully, SHIELDRA has all sorts of records that’ll help with that), and Ultron truly wants to be the shield around the world, so J.A.R.V.I.S. and Ultron convince Tony to complete and activate another of the AIs he’s been working on, to help deal with the increased workload while Ultron learns how to watch over and protect Earth, which results in F.R.I.D.A.Y. coming online. Darcy and Pietro hit it off like nobody’s business, and a trained and in control Wanda returns to the Avengers to fall head over heels for Vision (who is fiercely protective of his family, his friends, and his world). Writer’s choice what happens from there, but I’d love to see Loki decide that maybe the Tesseract would be safer on Midgard, after all (and that maybe it’s time for him to stop hiding and ask for an alliance with Earth’s mightiest heroes). Extra bonus points, though, if Cassie Lang and Barton’s kids all get introduced to Tony and immediately claim him as their honorary uncle, which means he introduces them to Harley Keener, his honorary kid. Extra, extra bonus points if widespread knowledge that Pym and Tony Stark are working together means that Bill Foster brings Ava Starr to their attention and the brain gang (as Rhodey dubs Tony’s scientist squad) figures out a way to help her and to save Janet van Dyne. Extra, extra, extra bonus points if Tony’s Avenger Accords means that Bucky voluntarily decides to come in out of the cold and seek treatment for his brainwashing, which means that the other Hydra Winter Soldiers are captured and treated so that they can be put on trial for their crimes (since they were willing volunteers and Hydra assassins and soldiers). ALL the bonus points in the ’verse if the Ancient One tricks/cajoles/bullies/bedazzles Stephen into letting himself be trained and this means that he never has his accident and remains a ridiculously highly skilled neurosurgeon in addition to becoming a powerful sorcerer essentially claimed as the Time Stone’s favorite/chosen champion.

Chapter 4

Pairing- Loki x Reader

“The celebration had been going on strong for the last few hours, and there wasn’t an end in sight. Asgardians strolled through the streets, rejoicing the fact that the Nine Realms were safe at last. Friends laughed, kids played, and warriors recounted their many victorious battles.

Y/n,Gambit,Sif, and The warrior three are all drinking in the castle, until Y/n starts to get flashes of Loki. He was in the scorching sun day in and day out,and they deprive him of water for weeks, and someone used the mind stone on him. Outside her head all the glass bottles and wine glasses bust, and Gambit immediately looks over at Y/n and see the black vines on her arm but before he could make his way over to her but time freeze.

Y/n gets up and runs to the dungeon, when she gets there she just stands in front of Loki’s cell looking down at her feet. Having a hard time looking at him and not see what she saw.

“Y/n, what’s going on?” Loki said as he looks around and see everyone is frozen. “Are you doing this?”

“why didn’t you tell me....why didn’t you tell me you were tortured.” Y/n questioned.

Loki looks at Y/n with wide eyes. “How do you do know that.”

“The stars, our minds all of that is Connected remember. How you not tell me.” Y/n said with Infrequent blinking.

“I didn’t want you to see that.” Loki answered.

“You were alone before you came to earth.” Y/n said as a tear rolls down her face.

The Black vines starts to slowly climb up her arm and appear on her face. Loki see that Y/n is in distress from what she learned. He knows what will happen if he let her feel those emotions. So he walks up the to the shield and use his up most calming and soothing voice he could muster at a time like this.

“It’s ok I’m fine Y/n look at me look at me.” Loki pleased.

Y/n looks at Loki with an empty stare. “No it’s not fine.....you were tortured. You were tortured into do what you did on earth. You was being watched. Even if I was aware of what was going on with you there was nothing I could’ve done. Nothing you could’ve done cause if you would’ve said or done anything differently they would’ve killed you.”

“I tried my best to get to rid those memory. I knew you would be able to feel it.” Loki said.

“I never wanted to experience those feeling.....not again?” Y/n quavered. “Not again.”

“What do you mean by ‘not again’?” Loki dais with a firm voice.

“The people that took me did this to me they put someone else’s X-Gene inside of me and I have to learn how to control it....and when I couldn’t control it they would put a collar around my neck then throw me into a dark room. The feeling of loneliness every day inside that room...if it wasn’t for Gambit....” Y/n trailed off. But Loki knew what she was going to say.

“I’m so sorry. I am here.” Loki puts he’s hand on over the Barrier of the cell walk and Y/n copies his movement.

“The person that did that to you.” Robin started. “What was there name?”

“Thanos” Loki answered.

“Thanos.”

At that same time, back on Asgard, Heimdall, the all-seeing keeper of the Rainbow Bridge, stood at his post at the edge of the observatory, scanning the cosmos. He did not turn when Thor approached, but spoke as soon as the prince was behind him.

“You're late.” Heimdall announced.

“Merriment can sometimes be a heavier burden than battle.” Thor stated.

“Then you're doing one of them incorrectly.” Heimdall commented.

Thor chuckles. “Perhaps. How fare the stars?”

“Still shining. From here I can see Nine Realms and ten trillion souls.” Heimdall looks at Thor for a moment. “You recall what I told you of the Convergence?”

“Yes, the alignment of the worlds. It approaches, doesn't it?” Thor asked.

“The universe hasn't seen this marvel since before my watch began. Few can sense, even fewer can see it. A world that's infected can be dangerous. It is truly beautiful.” Heimdall explained.

They looks out into the stars. “I see nothing.”

“Or perhaps that is not the beauty you seek.”

Thor laughs. “How is she?”

“She's quite clever, your mortal. She doesn't know it yet, but she studies the Convergence as well. Even...” Heimdall stops as he senses something.”

“What?” Thor stressed.

“I can't see her.”

We see Jane being infected by the Aether] [after Jane is infected with the Aether she reawakens in the factory, she runs out to find Darcy has called the police.

“Jane! Where the hell were you?” Darcy exclaimed.

“Tell me you didn't call the police!” Jane inquired.

“What was I supposed to do?” Darcy asked.

“Not call the police!” Jane yelled.

“I was freaking out.” Darcy stuttered.

“You call the cops they tell the feds, the next thing you know we have Shield crawling all over area fifty-one-ing the place.” Jane proclaimed.

“Jane!”

“We had a stable gratification anomaly, we had unheeded access. Our only competition was ten years old!”

“Jane, you were gone for five hours!” Darcy disclosed.

“What?....”

Suddenly the weather turns, it starts raining and they hear the sound of thunder, Jane looks around her and puts her hand out.

“That's weird.” Darcy noted.

They see it's raining but it's not raining on Jane and Darcy, there's an invisible barrier protecting them, suddenly Jane sees Thor standing a few feet away from them, Jane hands her gadget to Darcy and walks towards Thor, as she walks away the invisible barrier follows her and the rain starts falling on Darcy.

“Typical.”

Jane walks towards Thor.

“Jane.”

“As she reaches him suddenly she slaps him hard in the face. “Sorry. I just needed to make sure you were real, it's been a very strange day.”

“Well, I am. Jane...”

Suddenly she slaps him again. “Where were you?!”

“Where were you? Heimdall could not see you.” Thor said.

“I was right here where you left me. I was waiting and then I was crying and then I went out looking for you. You said you were coming back.” Jane said in a level tone.

“I know, I know, but the Bifrost was destroyed. The Nine Realms erupted into chaos, wars were raging, marauding hordes were pillaging. I had to put an end to the slaughter.” Thor explained.

“As excuses go, that's not terrible. But I saw you on TV, you were...you were in New York! Fighting with Y/n.” Jane said without trying to sound Jealous.

But she was he was spending all that time with Y/n. Ok she was the only person that believe him but Jane did to (with reason).

Does Thor have Heimdall to look in on Y/n.

“Jane, I fought to protect you from the dangers of my world, but I was wrong, I was a fool.” Thor places his hand Jane's face. “I believe that fate brought us together. Jane, I don't know where you were or what happened, but I do know this.”

“What?”

“I know...”

“You do?”

“Do what?”

They lean in close and just as they are about to kiss Darcy interrupts them; referring to the rain.

“Hey! Is that you?”

Thor looks up and the rain stops.

“Uh...we're kind of in the middle of something.” Jane sigh of irritation as she look at Darcy.

“Um...I'm pretty sure we are getting arrested” Darcy replied.

Jane look over at Thor. “Hold that thought.” She turns and runs towards the police.

“Look at you, still all muscly and everything. How's space?” Darcy asked.

“Space is fine.” Thor answered.

Jane walks over to the police. “Excuse me?”

“Are you Jane Foster?” One of police officer asked.

“Yes.”

“Do you know this man?” police officer said referring to Ian.

“He's my intern. My intern's intern.” Jane answered.

“This is private property and you're trespassing, the lot of you. You'll have to come with me.” The police officer goes t grab Jane's arm but suddenly the force from the Aether creates a powerful force which pushes the officer and everything else away,

Thor runs towards Jane who's lying on the ground.

“Jane! Jane?” Thor said as he helps her stand. “You alright?”

“What just happened?” Jane asked.

The other police officer approaches Jane apprehensively. “Place your hands on your head, step back!”

“The woman is unwell.” Thor answered.

“She's dangerous.”

“So am I.” Thor disclosed.

Talking into his radio. “Requesting armed response officers to the scene.” Thor grabs Jane and pulls her closer to him.

“Hold on to me.”

“What are you doing?” Suddenly the Bifrost opens and Thor takes Jane to Asgard; Darcy looks up as they disappear

“Holy shit!” Darcy shouted.

Thor and Jane travel through the Bifrost and enter Asgard where Heimdall is guarding as always, Jane looks around her in amazement.

“We have to do that again.” she notices Heimdall for the first time. “Hi.”

“Welcome to Asgard.” Heimdall announced.

Returning to their homeland, Svartalfheim, Malekith kneels and grabs a handful of dust from the ground. “Look at my legacy, Algrim. I barely remember the time before light.”

Algrim places his hand on Malekith's shoulder. “Our survival will be your legacy.”

“The Asgardians will suffer as we have suffered. I will reclaim the Aether. I will restore our world and I'll put an end to this poisonous world.” Malekith replied.

Asgard.

Loki is laying down on his bed, think about what happened the other day. The way Y/n was angry for him and what he saw. He didn’t know if he deserve such passion. What has he done to deserve that from her.

Maybe Odin is right

Y/n appeared in his cell, looks over at her and see she’s looks upset.

“What’s the matter? Did you have a another memory?” Loki said sitting up.

“No.... I just had to say goodbye to Gambit that all.” Y/n said with a downturned head.

“Gambit, he’s alive?” Loki questioned looking shocked.

“Yes, he is. Why you asked me that?” Y/n wondered then realization hits her. “Did you see one of my memories?”

Loki nods yes.

“Which one?” Y/n said with an intriguing voice.

“He was dying.” Loki answered.

“Oh.....that one.” Y/n said in a small voice. “That day would ever be known as November 18th. That was the day I lost control...caused an earthquake and black out in the upper east of the United States.”

“What happened?” Loki wondered.

“I had a nightmare but it wasn’t like any other nightmare it was vivid. I the way his blood felt on my hands. I ever since that day my father was trying to find ways to conceal my powers and when he did I will get the senses when something good or bad was gonna happen sometimes it was painful sometimes it wasn’t.” Y/n explained.

“You’re the only person I’ve ever told that to.”

Loki walks over to Y/n and lif her head up with his index finger so she’s looking at him. “Why would you tell me?”

“I don’t know it just felt like the right thing to do.” Y/n answered smile. “That’s what you do when you care about someone you open up to them.”

“You caring for me only make things worst.” Loki said with his head down. “After your two weeks you will never see me again. You dealing with the feeling of yearning will not be good for you or your powers.”

“My powers?” Y/n said in a curious tone. “What makes you think I won’t stay on Asgard?”

“Y/n...you just got someone you care about back into your life and you would willingly leave them behind for me?”

“Gambit, with understand.” Y/n replied.

“You would hate to living here on Asgard.”

“No, I won’t because you’re here.”

Loki walks over to Y/n and lif her head up with his index finger so she’s looking at him. “Y/n, when your two weeks are up....you are going to have to let me go?”

“No..No I’m not letting anything go.” Y/n said putting some space between her and Loki. “And don’t you say if you love me let me go.”

“If you don’t you could hurt people.” Loki said walking up to Y/n hugging her from the back.

“Since when do you care about people?” Y/n asked sarcastically.

“Because your care about people.” Loki answered.

Y/n turns around and gives Loki Direct eye contact. “Don’t ask me to let you go because I won’t.”

“Y/n....” Loki said struggling to find the right words to say.

“I should go I have to met your mom.” Y/n said.

And just like that Y/n is gone and Loki stands there facial muscles tensing.

As the Asgardian physicians study Jane and the force within her. “What's that?”

“Be still.” Eir said in a snappy voice.

Thor watches with one of the nurses as they examine Jane. “This is not of Earth, what is it?”

“We do not know, but she will not survive the amount of energy surging within her.” the nurse turns and walks away as Thor looks at Jane with worry.

“That's a quantum field generator, isn't it?” Jane asked.

“It's a Soul Forge.” Eir answered.

“Does a Soul Forge transfer molecular energy from one place to another?” Jane questioned.

Eir looks impressed. “Yes.”

Jane looks at Thor and whispers. “It's a quantum field generator.” Thor smiles at her.

Odin enters the room as the Thor looks on to Jane as she is being examined. “My words are mere noises to you that you ignore them completely?”

”She's ill.” Thor disclosed.

“She is mortal. Illness is their defining trait.” Odin replied.

“I brought here because we can help her.” Thor told Odin.

“She does not belong here in Asgard anymore than a goat belongs at a banquet table.“ Odin replied.

Jane sits up and looks at Thor. “Did he just...?” Jane started. “Who do you think you are?”

“I'm Odin. King of Asgard. Protector of the Nine Realms.” Odin answered.

“Oh. Well, I'm...”

“I know very well who you are, Jane Foster.”

Jane turns to look at Thor. “You told your Dad about me?”

“Something is within her, father, something I have not seen before.” Thor explained.

“Her world has its healers, their called doctors, let them deal with it. Guards, take her back to Midgard.” Odin said as two guards approach Jane and go to grab her, suddenly the energy force within her sets off again throwing the two guards aside.

“Don't touch her.” Thor said as he leans down and tenderly touches Jane. “Jane, are you alright?”

Jane nods her head, Odin inspects the energy force running through Jane's body and realizes it's the Aether. “That's impossible.”

“The infection, it's defending her.” Eir said in a shocked face.

“No, it's defending itself.” Thor corrected.

“Come with me. There are relics that predate the universe itself. What lies within her appears to be one of them. The Nine Realms are not eternal. They had a dawn as they will have a dusk.” Odin said showing Thor and Jane an ancient book. “But before that dawn the dark forces, the Dark Elves, reigned absolute and unchallenged.”

Thor reading from the book. “Born of eternal night, the Dark Elves comes to steal away your light. They were these stories mother told us as children.”

“Their leader, Malekith made a weapon out of that darkness, it was called the Aether. While the other relics often appeared as stones, the Aether is fluid and ever changing. It changes matter into dark matter and seeks out to host bodies, drawing strength from their life force. Malekith sought to use the Aether's power to return the universe to one of darkness. But after eternities of blood shed, my father Bor, finally triumphed, ushering in the peace that lasted thousands of years.”

“What happened?” Jane chimed in.

“He killed them all.” Odin answered.

“Are you certain? The Aether was said to have been destroyed with them and yet here it is.” Thor specified.

“The Dark Elves are dead.” Odin commented.

“Does your book happen to mention how to get it out of me?” Jane questioned.

“No, it does not.”

Y/n is sitting crisscross apple sauce in her room’s balcony. Thinking about what happened between her and Loki.

Was that our first fight?

Y/n’s emotions were at a frenzy. She didn’t understand why Loki was acting like that. She wanted to be mad. Something happened to change his mind on everything.

What if i’m overthinking it Gambit did say I think and feel more then anyone else

Y/n let’s out a sigh of irritation.

“It’s ok if my thoughts run a mile but focus on one.” Y/n said closing her eye.

So am I supposed to just sit here.

Yes I am going to be spinning this day with my daughter

Y/n can hear Frigga’s voice clear as day. She doesn’t know if it’s was her inner or outer voice.

“I didn’t know Thor had a sister.” Y/n mumbled to herself.

Y/n gets a knock on her door and she opens it with the flick of her hand.

“So I see your trying to meditate that’s a good start.” Frigga said walking in the room. The door shut close as Frigga makes her way over to Y/n.

“Yes. But I’m failing miserably at it.” Y/n laughed at herself. “I learned that my mind is a satellite. I’m always going to pick up others people thoughts. So I had to learn how to store them in the back of my mind. But even then it still feels crowded.”

“You poor dear, I can not imagine how you feel but I think I can help. Close your eyes imagine everything in your head.” Frigga said.

Y/n takes a deep breath and closes her eyes.

“Now I want you to think of the similarities of Asgard and Midgard.” Frigga said.

“That’s kind of hard Asgard is beautiful while Earth only as hidden gems.....the sunset are beautiful.” Y/n answered.

“When you think of the sun, what do you think of?” Frigga asked.

“Warm light.”

“And what is light?”

“Electricity....and electricity is power.”

“How does one turn off power?” Frigga wondered.

“By flipping a switch.” Y/n grinned.

“Now turn it off switch.” Frigga told Y/n.

Y/n flips a switch off in her mind and everything going quite. She opens her eyes and looks up at Frigga smiling.

“It’s gone. It’s not crowded anymore. Thank you.” Y/n rejoiced.

A rainbow appears in the sky as all the clouds disappear. Y/n gets up from the ground and hugs Frigga, then immediately letting her go.

She’s a queen you have to remember that

“Oh I’m so sorry.” Y/n said with a downward gaze.

Frigga smiles. “Y/n, it is fine.” Frigga looks out and sees a rainbow. “That wouldn’t be your doing would is?”

“Sorry.” Y/n goes to fix the sky but Frigga stops her.

“I think it’s rather lovely.”

Y/n smiles at Frigga.

back on Svartalfheim, in his ship Malekith plots his vengeance against the Asgardians.

“I'll destroy their defenses and resurrect the universe.” Malekith looks to one of his dark elves as he carries a mask.

A/n- I can’t believe the Loki tv show season one is done. (Sigh) I guess I’ll be waiting.

Reblogging again because I posted my analysis in the tags when I really should have typed it up in the post properly. So just to copy and clean up my own tags here:

Some thoughts: I love just about every part of this scene up to when they start breaking up. The one thing I think is weird is the transition from the end of the battle to Jane’s house. i much prefer what we got in the final movie, it’s much less awkward and gives things more breathing room. (It also doesn’t involve Thor randomly being unconscious for three days to the point where they were worried he would die? I never got the sense that the battle with Malekith was quite THAT strenuous for him, so it seems a little out of nowhere imo.)

Things I liked a lot:

Domestic Thor in Earth clothes

Odin acknowledging that Jane is incredible and that Thor was doing the right thing both re: his actions in this movie against Malekith & in pursuing his relationship with Jane despite the obstacles in the way.

Honestly, it’s neat seeing Odin in Earth clothes too. Continuing the trend of fashionable Asgardians in Earth clothes. The old-fashioned gray three-piece suit is a nice costuming choice, very in character.

Jane telling Thor she loves him. LOVE THAT.

The way the scene- even after they break up- treats Thor and Jane’s love as this great fated thing, as something that saves the universe, instead of a minor fling or an inconvenience from superheroics. I hate that they break up but at least it’s done with respect. (Unlike how R*gnarok handled it and unlike the attitude many people at Marvel seem to have about the relationship.)

Also that kiss. It’s a great kiss, I’m glad we finally got to see it in full.

And I do really like that even though they were basically forced to break up by circumstances (read: the studio/writers/directors/whoever it was behind the scenes) they both still truly love each other, and they both clearly show it even as they’re saying goodbye to each other. Those looks they both give each other as Thor leaves are really nice.

It’s so good to see Darcy again!!! I forget sometimes how much I miss her. And she’s such great comedic relief. I’m so excited to see her return in Wandavision. (Also, I agree with her here. Lol.)

Lastly, I like seeing everyone on Asgard react to Thor’s return; I like seeing all the Asgardians in general! Because I love them all. It’s also really nice to see Asgard properly one more time. (Instead of the pale poorly-designed shadow of it that they’ve shown us after this movie. Thor 1 Asgard is still best Asgard though imo. Thor 2 Asgard is second-best though.)

Also very cool to see the actual footage of Thor with Hugin and Munin, after seeing bloopers of that shot so many times.

Things I didn’t like:

How the scene EXPLICITLY goes on about how Thor is not of earth and needs to only ever be on Asgard. And especially how it’s JANE who says it. That she can’t picture Thor living on earth with her at all, ever.

Like. Thor in comics has an Entire THING about how he fights FOR EARTH and loves it so friggin much. I’m thinking of that comics page during one Ragnarok or another (Siege maybe? Not sure, but it’s something relatively recent) where it’s Odin, Thor, and Loki, and their battle cries are ‘For Asgard!’ ‘For Midgard!’ and ‘For Myself!’ respectively.

And also the whole thing in Jason Aaron’s Thor: God of Thunder run where Thor loving Earth and being of it is a running theme. Thor as a superhero- as an Avenger- is OF Earth. It’s his home just as much as Asgard is. It’s why he spends so much time there. He’s an Avenger exactly because he loves the Earth and its people. He fights for them.

And the MCU version of that was so clearly shown in Thor 1 with Thor’s time in Puente Antiguo and how much it impacted him, that to now say ‘Earth is not in any way Thor’s home’ makes no sense. Asgard is Thor’s home, but so is Earth. And it’s his home of choice, no less. He’s of both and loves and fights for both and that’s the whole point.

Also I obviously don’t like the idea of Thor and Jane breaking up. At all.

But that is an especially bs reason. I could understand if they’d written it as them having tried to make it work for a while and Jane getting fed up with the long distance thing because Thor would ditch her for years without any warning. They planted the seeds for that enough that while I wouldn’t like it it would feel true to the characters. Them breaking up because Thor must ALWAYS be on Asgard and isn’t capable of making a life on Earth with Jane that he would be content with? Doesn’t feel right to me at all.

And I don’t understand the point story-wise of having them break up because his place is being king on Asgard. Like @beheworthy said- it’s not a good jumping off point for a new story. And especially not for an Avengers story, which we all know was planned to be where we see him next. How is he supposed to be an Avenger if his place is meant to only be on Asgard like this scene is telling us it is?

Plus, to repeat what @beheworthy said again, if Thor’s going to actually become king of Asgard onscreen, that should be the culmination of his three-movie arc, not the midpoint. It’s an extremely odd way to end his second movie.

Anyway. I could probably go on but I’m gonna stop there.

There are parts of this scene I really really like, a lot. But overall I’m very glad this was cut and we got 2+ years of domestic Fosterson in trade, even if it happened offscreen. More time if you go in real time instead of in-universe. I’m really glad I got to enjoy canon Thor/Jane for all that extra time until R*gnarok. (I’m also really glad we got Loki not dying for real, and the seeds of an interesting plotline in him pretending to be Odin even if R*gnarok did nothing with that, but that’s a comment for another post.)

I’m still hoping we see Thor and Jane get back together in Thor 4, but this scene only seems to reinforce how much people behind the scenes dislike the relationship and seem to want them broken up. I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed but my expectations low for now. Here’s hoping that at least they’re acknowledged as important to each other even if they aren’t together romantically anymore, the way their dynamic was written in Aaron’s comic run. :)

Lastly: the way this break-up goes makes me more curious about Patty Jenkins’ version of this movie. Which supposedly had the “starcrossed lovers” theme as a really major part of the movie, instead of just kind of implied ocassionally like we ended up getting. (Until this scene abruptly hits you over the head with it out of nowhere, that is. Maybe it was more present in the earlier Alan Taylor version as well?) I’m now wondering if maybe the reason Patty left the movie in the first place was that people (studio execs, Feige, someone else?) wanted Thor and Jane broken up in the movie and she refused to end it like that. The way she and Natalie have talked about her version makes it sound like Thor and Jane’s relationship was really central to the overall plot, even more than it is in the version we got. I guess we’ll never know, but it’s something this scene makes me think about.

Did you see the Dark World deleted scene from the Infinity Saga? Someone uploaded it to YouTube. And Jane finally says “I love you” to Thor!!

I appreciate Jane for doing the right thing. Keeping Thor for herself would have been selfish. So good on my girl for making him go be the King. But. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out the narrative purpose it would serve for Thor’s arc to have him be reset in the starting position again. *cough* Steve Endgame *cough*

Thor is back in Asgard as the King. Odin is chilling in his chambers. Loki and Frigga are dead. Jane is history now… How do you begin the third movie from here? How can Ragnarok happen if Thor and Odin are well and alive in Asgard?? How can Avengers have him for their adventures????

And I cannot stress this enough, but I don’t want Thor/Jane broken up. End of. I have spoken. One good thing to come out of this clip is the kiss we’d been dying to see. AND DOMESTIC THOR.

headcanon dump

1) darcy is a huge music fan, she was brought up around music as her mother was a choir leader and her dad was trained on the harp. her mum used to drive her insane with singing loudly around the house, sometimes she even joined in. her parents really wanted her to do something with her voice, but she never really wanted to, she saw the stress it put on her mum and thought it was best for her to leave it be

sometimes, if you’re lucky you can hear her actually singing to herself whilst shes busy or bored. you better listen carefully.

2) darcy is a fan of collecting moments, so she pretty much has a mini polaroid camera in her bag at all times. her room is full of pictures of her and the crew on adventures, the ones that she keeps very close to her heart go in her scrapbook. she has plenty of selfies with her, thor and jane and erik. some even of ian.

3) Only applicable to verses before IW and her current canon. darcy works in the tower/facility in the science division, even though she isn’t involved in any of the science going on, she hold an important part of making sure everyone is safe and is pretty much a mother hen. she may have started off as jane’s intern, but, then was hired professionally as a general assistant, her main department is the science department but she doesn’t mind helping around.she also lives within the building as jane doesn’t want her too far away,  just in case of emergency.

4) darcy is a professional third wheel, thor and jane, many other situations. she is okay with it, but sometimes it gets to her, she watches her friends find loved ones that she knows she’ll never find. darcy has gone on countless of dates but never goes on a second or third, because they only want her for one thing and she just wants to find that person. she has been used countless of times, by both men and women and it’s very hard for her to let people in. yeah, she seems open when she firsts meets someone but that isn’t darcy, that is the loud and fun darcy. not the one who spends her time watching documentaries and just spending time by herself in silence. she’s very protective of her friends when it comes to them finding partners because of all shes been through and the abuse she once received. no one knows of this past as she’s not even comfortable with thinking about it.

5) darcy loves to feed strays, she also takes some in when it’s winter to make sure that they’re okay. some people say she’s crazy, but she calls herself catwoman, so..

6) just a friendly reminder if you play with darcy’s hair and call her kitten, good girl or baby girl she will literally melt in your hands and do anything you say

7) darcy wears high heels(like 50% of the time) ‘cause she’s 5 2″ and iS PRESSED THAT SHE WASN’T BORN WITH THE GREATNESS THAT IS HEIGHT. it also makes her butt look great, which she loves.

8) if anyone is lucky enough to date darcy they’d have an unlimited supply of support, hugs, kisses, cuddles AND cookies. she’s very affectionate and believes that a partner should be there to help one another and support them, not bash their ideas or dismiss them. she also HIGHLY believes in snuggles, so have fun with that.

9) darcy has a handgun license as it’s required to have one to carry a taser in certain states, and she also owns a handgun (she purchased it after new york, london and all the other shit that went down, also ‘cause hydra sleeper agents were everywhere) but keeps that locked away. her uncle from her mothers side, who was a sheriff in colorado, had also taught her how to shoot but she has never used and will never use a gun, she hates them way too much.

10) Darcys grandmother on her mothers side owns a small bakery in Philadelphia, Darcy had always wanted to follow in her grandmothers footsteps but gave up after her mothers passing in her early teens. Sometimes she wonders what her life would be like if she followed her original plan, but does prefers her life as it is.She wouldn’t mind running the bakery in a couple years though, it is a family tradition.

11) if you don’t think darcy has a very large collection of cute ass lingerie tHEN YOU ARE WRONNNNNNNNNG. lingerie lets her love her body.

12) you don’t understand how sad it makes me when i see those cute things like wow darcy wishes she could have that stuff but shes so worried about not being good enough for her partner that she usually shuts herself off and tends to drift away and it hurts MY SOUL.

13) people seem to forget that darcy has been through a lot, she’s been through the destroyer, the dark elves and lbr most likely the battle of new york oh and one of her best friends being possessed by the aether. so she’s developed a lot of problems since then, nightmares, a minor case of ptsd etc, she’s not always going to be the happy go lucky lass everyone makes her out to be.

14) Sometimes I just want to cry when I think about how much Darcy loves her friends, like you don’t understand she would DIE for Jane, Jane has literally become such a big part of Darcy’s life, and she wouldn’t change it for anyone. They are two different people, and that’s what she loves so much about Jane, she just LOVES. HER. SO. MUCH. Selvig is pretty much her second dad, her better dad, to be honest. She was heart broken when she found out about the mind control, and made sure to keep a close eye on him after that.Thor is like her big brother(sorry to her other brothers, but he rules), she cares for him so much, even when him and Jane are on the rocks or broken up, she just wants to take him and wrap him in a blanket and just throw anyone that comes near him the bird and to tell them to fuck right off.Ugh, she just wants to protect them all, even with her clumsy ass self.

15) darcy has an argument stool, if you’re taller than her she will crack it out and make sure she is eye level or above.

Darcy and the Prince (Shieldshock)

“I’m going to be so happy when this is over and we can all get on with our lives,” grumbled Darcy, as she helped her friend into her very beautiful white wedding dress, fit for the princess Jane was about to become. Jane had met the Asgardian Prince Thor while visiting the country on a science quest (as Darcy referred to her research trips) and the two had, against all odds, fallen head over heels in love and became engaged a year later. Despite the meddlings, of Thor’s troublemaking brother Loki, they’d made it to the wedding day and Darcy was playing bridesmaid and generally trying to keep Jane from going full bridezilla. 

“Hmm, maybe you’ll be singing a different tune once you’ve met some of Thor’s friends,” Jane suggested, as she was buttoned up. “He knows a lot of attractive, single, people.”

Darcy rolled her eyes and grimaced as she worked on the last few buttons. 

“Ugh. NO, JANE. I do not need that drama in my life right now. I’m gonna finish my masters, then go globe-trotting and enjoy being single and free. Men are more trouble than they’re worth.”

“Sometimes I want to wring Ian’s neck for what he did to you,” Jane said vehemently. Darcy’s last boyfriend had turned out to be an utter cheating scum and she’d ended up with a broken heart, hence her general annoyance with men. 

“Thor and I got our revenge,” Darcy said, smiling at the memory. “I don’t know if I’ll be able to trust again. Don’t be sad, Janie. I’m super happy to have you and Thor and Eric as buddies. Now, let’s get finished so we can get you down that aisle!”

Before she knew it, Darcy was preceding Jane down the aisle and trying not to start bawling. She was a shameless wedding weeper and knew it would be even worse this time since it was her best friend getting married. 

As she blinked rapidly, she took a glance up front where a beaming Thor was standing, along with several other very striking, very well dressed men. She caught the eye of a gorgeous blonde decked out in full prince uniform and he smiled at her, which did funny things to her insides and it took all her self control to not stare at him through the whole ceremony. 

Of course, by the time the happy couple kissed and was announced as husband and wife, Darcy could barely see through her tears and just hoped she’d grabbed the right man’s arm to walk her back down the aisle. 

“I’m sorry,” she sniffled to her unknown escort. “I always weep an embarrassing amount at weddings and these dresses NEVER have pockets to stash tissues in.” 

“Nothing to be sorry for,” a very pleasant voice answered. “I admit, I shed some tears as well. Luckily, I always carry a back up handkerchief. Here.”

A soft cloth was pressed into her hand, and Darcy gratefully accepted it, finally managing to wipe the tears away. Vision cleared, she was able to see her helpful person and let out a gasp as she saw it was the gorgeous blonde princey dude. Up close, it was clear she’d grabbed the arm of Prince Steven, one of the most swooned over royalties to ever grace the papers. 

“Wow, thanks, your highness,” she said breathlessly. “I’m afraid this thing is ruined. It looks like my waterproof mascara is not actually waterproof.”

She held up the handkerchief, which was now smeared with black streaks. 

“Don’t worry about it,” Prince Steven said, pretty blue eyes crinkling in a smile. “Like I said, I’ve got extra.”

“You’re the best,” Darcy blurted, then turned red. “Ohmm….. I’m gonna go repair the damages before they start the pictures. Will you let Jane and Thor know where I’ve gone? It should only take a few minutes.”

“Sure,” the Prince said kindly. “And please, call me Steve.”

Darcy ventured to look back at him, and saw nothing but genuine friendliness in his kind eyes. She fell a bit in love right there.

“Nice to meet you…...Steve,” she managed, a tad shyly. “I’m Darcy, by the way.”

“Lewis?” he asked, recognition appearing in his expression.

“The very same,” she confirmed. “I take it Thor’s mentioned me?” 

“He sure has,” Steve answered. “He calls you his lightning sister and is frequently expounding on your wit, brains, and beauty. I’d have to agree with him. You are stunning.”

Darcy felt herself blush like a tomato. 

“You’re one to talk, Prince GQ,” she sassed, to cover up her internal freak out over his compliment. “Be right back!” 

With that she picked up her skirts and swished off to the restroom, leaving Steve looking after her with great amusement and interest. Darcy Lewis was a very strikingly lovely woman and the blue dress she was wearing greatly flattered her figure and emphasized her bright blue eyes. Thor had tried to set him up with her before, but Steve had stubbornly refused. Now that he’d met her, He thought he’d been an idiot. 

“Are you well, Darcy?” Thor inquired, when she had rejoined the others.

“Yeah. My mascara betrayed me and made me start looking like one of those goth rock stars,” she told him. “That’s the Last time I use THAT brand. Congratulations, by the way.”

She offered up hugs to the happy couple, before they were whisked away for pictures with the official royal photographer. 

Spotting Steve, she casually strolled over and watched a bit as he talked to a group of individuals, who must have been his friends, because he looked so much more relaxed and was laughing and smiling in a very jovial manner. He kept his public persona very buttoned up and stiff, so seeing him like this was utterly fascinating and Darcy was becoming more and more attracted every minute. She chatted with Bruce Banner for a little bit, then helped Jane manage her train in between shots. 

They were so cute together, it was almost sickening. Thor looked at Jane like she was his whole universe and Jane looked at Thor like he was the only man in existence. 

“I want to look at someone the way she looks at him,” Darcy murmured, half to herself, half to the blue and gold clad figure who had joined her. 

“Me too,” Steve agreed, sounding very wistful. 

“Shouldn’t be that hard for you, dude,” she pointed out. 

He chuckled ruefully, blushing a bit.

“I’ve discovered there’s a big difference between starstruck lust, and real love and I haven’t seemed to find the latter yet. Most of them aren’t interested in getting to know the real me at all.”

“That’s sad,” Darcy told him. “You seem like you’d be very interesting, once you get past the whole princely trappings and regal persona. Tell me, Steve, what makes you tick?”

Steve turned to look at her, and she felt like the blue eyes were piercing through her, searching for something. Whatever he saw, it must have eased his mind, because he took a deep breath and started talking.

“For one thing, I’m very passionate about using my position to do as much good as I can, not be just some stuffed shirt figurehead,” he told her. “I’m also very fond of the arts and am in the process of starting an art school for underprivileged kids. I’m hoping they’ll let me teach, because I love to draw and paint.”

“That’s awesome,” Darcy said warmly, giving him an approving nod.

“I also love dogs and help out at the shelters whenever I can.” He continued. “They’re so much more pleasant than dealing with parliament.” 

Darcy laughed at the distaste in his voice, but never got a chance to say anything else, because duty called. They shared a few looks across the room, and Steve shamelessly winked at her once when she pretended to strike a diva pose. 

They didn’t get close enough to actually talk again until the reception, when he sauntered up to Darcy as she was giggling at a ridiculous archery joke Clint had made. 

“Excuse me. Darcy, would you care for a dance?” He asked, holding out a white-gloved hand.

“Y-you’re asking me?” Darcy squeaked. 

“I don’t see any other Darcys around here, unless one of you has something to tell me,” Steve said dryly, squinting at Clint, Natasha, and Bruce, all of whom knew him. 

“Nope, not it,” Clint said, shaking his head.

“She’d love to,” Nastasha answered, giving Darcy a nudge forward.

“Yeah, I would, “ Darcy managed, taking the offered hand nervously.  Steve’s hand closed around hers and she felt a tingle up her spine.

She was in a dreamy daze as the prince expertly guided her around the floor. It was clear his princely education had included good dance technique and he was absolutely courtly about it. 

“Now, Darcy, it’s your turn to tell me what makes YOU tick,” he said after a few minutes of silently gazing at her. 

“Well, I live fueled by coffee and sarcasm, I majored in political science, and I’m not afraid to use my taser on creeps and jerks,” she told him proudly. “Also, I may have a thing for tall blonde princes.”

“Is that so?” He asked, a dangerously flirty tone in his voice.

“Yup,” she admitted. “Which is a little inconvenient seeing as how I’ve sworn off men.”

“That is too bad,” Steve agreed. “Any chance of possibly changing your mind?” 

“I’ll certainly let you try,” she told him, struggling to keep her mind from its fantasies about his magnificent broad shoulders and muscular arms. 

“Good,” Steve said, with another one of his stunning smiles. (If he kept doing that, there was no way she would be able to hold out long.)

“You look like you’re already planning your persuasive tactics,” she told him.

“Well, they don’t call me The Prince With A Plan for nothing,” Steve said, twirling Darcy around dramatically. Yeah, she was in SO much trouble.

Wow I’m so sorry this was so long. But guess what? It’s gonna get even longer. Sorry, again.

So one of the differences between the first and second Thor movies is that Thor 2 has humor in the climax whereas Thor 1 doesn’t. This is because of the differences with who is the villain. In Thor 1, Thor is having to fight his brother. To quote Avengers, they “played together and fought together” for several millennia. Of course there’s not going to be any humor in it cause there shouldn’t be. The climax at the end of the movie isn’t supposed to be some epic battle between the forces of Good TM and Bad TM. It’s supposed to be tragic that he’s having to fight his own brother because Loki lost his mind due to so many factors. The last joke in the film is “You’re an amazon liar brother, always have been” “It’s good to have you back”. There’s nothing else till the end credit scene. That’s because Kenneth Branagh knew that this was supposed to be viewed at as being sad a hopeless, not some awesome upbeat battle.

Thor 2 on the other hand, is exactly that. Thor has known Malekith for.. what? 2 days? Maybe 3? His relationship and dynamic with Malekith is different than with his brother. To Thor, this is just another enemy attacking Asgard. And I’m not sure whether this was intentional or not (because I remember reading somewhere how Allen Taylor had a bitch of a time in the editing process so I think the movie came out different than he intended) but the lack of any personal relationship will Malekith means the film can make really funny jokes and still have it fit with the film. If anything, I might even argue that the humor helped the film to maintain a very nice positive vibe. Idk I can’t think of the right words to explain it but the jokes actually fit the film very well.

However, then we move on to Ragnarok. With Ragnarok, Thor is fighting his sister. While (just like Malekith) he has only known her for two days, that still doesn’t take away the fact that he is having to fight his sibling. And I’m not a film director but if I had the option of approaching this situation and taking it the Thor 1 route or the the Thor 2 route, I’d go with Thor 1. Because it’s actually incredibly tragic that Hela has been driven to insanity like Loki (though ok a different level) due to Odin’s shitty parenting. She is the horrible way she is because Odin made her that way. And that could’ve been an AMAZINGLY complex story with the audience feeling so much sympathy for Hela like we did with Loki in Thor 1, but the narrative just falls flat for two reasons. 1) Taika admitted he didn’t want the film to be emotionally complex so 2) The humor in the climax completely detracts from the seriousness of the situation.
