Salut, it's delusional time o'clock!! In light of the last clip: remember how Lula said that B was important to Daphne's character development (ugh)? Hear me out. We know that Daphy may not have a high self-esteem and she really wants to be validated by others. It's very important for her to understand that she can still be flattered by the thought of someone being into her despite what she may think as her flaws BUT (1/2)
(2/2) that doesn’t mean that she has to accept his avances (esp bc she’s rightfully grossed out by them) and her self-esteem will not take any blows even after she rejects him bc she will finally understand that she doesn’t have to settle for the first guy just bc he’s into her: she deserves better and she will find someone worthy of her. (Also, I don’t think Lucas has ever been that happy to get punched in the d)
i love this reaching sm and i AM TOTALLY SUPPORTING THIS HOPE even tho i dont think well be blessed with that …. but god i hope so she deserves the world ok and barlife…. aint it

Natsu x Lucy, Post-Alvarez
ENSEMBLE POUR TOUJOURS? TOUJOURS.

@mercysought said: a kiss on the cheek - maxima || spots to kiss.
The Grand Game was never something Quinn was born into, but it is a tool she learns to wield just as any other. By some extension, it must be a lucky thing, then, that it holds her in place from an earnest response at the sight of such a familiar face. A face she thought she trusted. And one whose trust is now brought into question.
Maxima was not there to witness the crackling, crumbled remains of the Durant estate. She was not there to choke on the blackened smoke in search of survivors. She was not there to see the half-charred remains of Comte Durant, bloodied and burned.
And more importantly: she was not there to learn that the remains of Shaun were never, ever accounted for.
“What a pleasure it is to make your acquaintance. Magister Aurum, was it?” Painted lips curve in a smile. Quinn leans in, and Daphné follows suit. The woman kisses her on the cheek, but she is focused on other things. Does the magister tremble in guilt, in fear, in confusion of what happened? Or is it all merely coincidence, and she lives in ignorance of that dreaded night. The question burns. So too does Quinn’s rage.
Tumblr media
But she is not so reckless as to not point that anger in the right direction. So before  Daphné can even pull back, Quinn turns, speaking softly at the woman’s ear. “See me when this is over. There are things you must know.”

Note
Daphné hands him a book when they are alone, has a white silk strap fabric wrapping, the cover is thick and not too detailed as if worn by time, so much so that the title itself was barely visible but it is clear that it is a book about the Chevaliers, their History and conception. A note is under the bow which she holds under her thumb making sure that it doesn't fall which reads: 'I saw it and I thought you'd like it.' No signature, just that. I'd be wise to be wise to burn it after reading it
Tumblr media
He doesn’t get a proper chance to look over it until a few hours later, after he’s said merci et au revoir. Still, the title had caught his attention immediately, and with the note safely relegated to the fire along with a couple sensitive missives from Celene and the staff, he at last has the luxury to sink into one of the more comfortable chairs in the room and open to the introductory notes. The author’s name is familiar; Michel has read some of his reflections on great campaigns of the past ages and found them engaging, though he hadn’t realised there was a general work on the inception of the chevaliers. The Comte, perhaps, had once had a copy in his library ...
A pity only that Daphné wouldn’t be able to see the look of excited concentration on his face as he turned to the first chapter, its opening title opposite an ornate illustration of a familiar crest.
