there are exactly six cheetos left in the packet and kara stares for like thirteen whole seconds before selecting her next one, desperately trying to savour the last of the snacks in her super secret drawer (that exactly everybody knows about). "national city is crime free," kara states boldly; legs crossed on the desk in front of her, cape flung over the back of the roller chair, she grins over her shoulder at alex and finger guns, cheeto dusted et al. this episode was SO GOOD, it had everything i was missing about season one. it was emotionally complex. we got alex not knowing how to deal with her anger and completely losing it, we got kara not believing in herself, we got the Danvers Sisterssssss and it was an actual emotional heart stopping scene, not the ‘let's talk about romance problems’ moments (WHICH ARE IMPORTANT but i feel like that's all we’ve been seen this season), we got so many moral dilemmas!!!!!!! i missed those. over all, everything was so great. the human SuperFriends kicking ass together instead of mon-el for once, lena luthor doing god knows what WHO IS SHE WHAT IS SHE DOING WHAT DOES SHE WANT? ALSO THAT BINCH FELL FROM HER BUILDING INTO SUPERGIRL STRONG ARMS ARE YOU KIDDING ME? GAY, we got some amazing SpaceDad x Alex moments, i also missed those, that relationship is really important and i feel like we barely got to see it in S2.i just have a lot of feelings about this episode, it had a real season 1 vibe and that's what i’m all about. (i still think Kara is not being developed like she should be, she was more complex in S1 but that doubting moment reminded me of her s1 self and i need more)
