“Baby?” Daniel asks walking into you room. You don’t hear him though, the sounds of Hamilton flows through your AirPods that are firmly planted in your ears.

You had been sitting in the same position in your room for hours, tirelessly working on an essay that wasn’t due for another week. However, you hadn’t been doing too hot in this class and knew you needed to do well on this essay so you could pass. You absentmindedly start mouthing the words to Alexander Hamilton and Daniel can’t help but smile at the small mannerism.

Daniel was used to you like this, but worried nonetheless. He knew college was stressful and you had to work 24/7 to get assignments done and do well in your classes. But that didn’t stop him from worrying about you and your health. He knew how stressed you got and how you didn’t always stop when it came to assignments.

“Babe.” He repeats walking further into the room. He then notices the headphones in your ears and reaches out to you. He plucks out your left headphone causing you to look up at him and offer a sheepish smile.

“What are you listening to?” He asks popping the headphone into his ear. When the familiar tune of Wait For It from the Hamilton soundtrack plays, he starts to smile. You always listened to show tunes when doing homework but Hamilton happened to be a fan favorite of yours to help you focus.

“Come here.” Daniel gestures to you but you immediately start to protest.

“Dani I have to write at least another page tonight.”

Instead of responding, Daniel shuts your laptop and pulls you up by your hands. When you’re standing he gestures to your phone which you plop into his hand and wait for him to pick a song. He ends up choosing Helpless, a song which you two loved to belt in your car together.

As it starts, Daniel takes your right hand into his left and holds it up as he rest his left hand on your waist. He then begins to move the two of you around the room to the beat of the song while humming the lyrics into your ear.

“If it takes fighting a war for us to meet, it will have been worth it.” He quotes the words and you giggle.

As the song continues, you dance around the room, arm and arm and your paper long forgotten. Daniel has always had this affect on you and this is why you loved him so much. He learned your mannerisms and loved every bit of them. Knew when you needed a break and when you needed to be left alone.

You were certain this boy was the love of your life and your soulmate. You hoped he felt the same way too.

“I love you so much.” He says as the song ends. “And I’m so lucky to be able to dance around your room to musicals and have the best time of my life.”

lol boobs don’t make me uncomfortable, i’ve talked a little bit about my firm belief that daniel is a boob man so this is literally perfect. I’ma do this as a blurb if you don’t mind, I think it lends itself well to that format.

The two of you were holding hands when you walked past the store. Daniel was deliberately trying not to look because he’s a respectable young man with decency and manners, but you had stopped cold in your tracks, unintentionally yanking him backwards as he kept walking. You looked up at him, mustering your best pleading puppy dog eyes.

“Baby, there’s a sale....”

He tipped his head back to look up at the towering ceilings of the mall. “I was hoping you wouldn’t ask -”

“Pleeeeeease?”

He huffed out a sigh. “Fine, fine, let’s please try to be quick, though? We actually have errands to run.”

“Your Adidas can wait for another 20 minutes, I promise you.”

You led him into the store, navigating through the racks full of brightly colored lace and satin, trying to find things in your size. Daniel was trying to stay on the sidelines, alternating between looking up at the ceiling and looking down at his shoes. You found a bra that was a really pretty baby blue with classy white lace trim, and by some stroke of fate it was your size. Not really thinking, you ran over to Daniel and held it up to yourself. “Hey hon, what do you think of this one?”

He looked up and his eyes dilated. “Um... Yeah. It’s nice.”

“You don’t sound convinced.”

He brought his hand up to rub the back of his neck. “No, no, I’m sure.” He cleared his throat. “That would look really good on you, babe,” he said quietly, sounding almost out of breath. Finally, you noticed the pink flush to his tan cheeks, the way he was shifting his weight back and forth, nervously adjusting his hat and running his hand through his hair. You quirked an eyebrow.

“You okay, baby?”

He cleared his throat again. “Yeah, I’m fine. Are you almost done?”

He was clearly beyond uncomfortable, but he was being such a trooper, so you decided to have some pity on the poor thing. “Well, not really. But do you wanna help me? You should pick something out you think would look nice. It’s all on sale so it’s all fair game.”

His eyes got even wider, if that was at all possible. He gulped. “I don’t know, baby, there’s a lot of people in here...”

“They’re not gonna pay any attention, I promise. C’mere, let’s look over here...” You took his hand and led him towards a different section that was a little less crowded. You started shuffling through the displays, and Daniel tentatively joined you. At first he moved like he was scared to touch the silky fabrics, but slowly he warmed up to the whole idea. After a little while, he picked out a sheer black bra with a plunging neckline and held it out to you for appraisal.

“Do you think you’d be comfortable trying this?” he asked sweetly, his cheeks a little pinker than before. You giggled bashfully, mostly out of surprise. You never in a million years would’ve guessed he’d pick out something like that.

“I mean, yeah, if you’d like me to wear it.”

He flushed a little more, pink extending down his neck and to the tips of his ears. “Uhm... yeah. I think you’d look really good in this.”

“Okay, great. Let’s get it.”

“Seriously?”

You laughed again. “Well, yeah. When I shop here alone I’m usually guessing at what you’d like, but now that you’re here with me you get to have a say.”

“Huh.” You saw the wheels start to turn in his head, a smile slowly spreading across his face as the color in his cheeks returned to normal. “Okay. Maybe this isn’t such a bad idea,” he said, eyes sparkling mischievously. “What about underwear?”

You smirked at his sudden change in demeanor. “What about it?”

“Can I pick something out for you?” he asked, pointing towards a display of panties.

“Sure, if you want.”

“Cool,” he said, now sounding excited as he took your hand and started leading you through the store. You guys ending up leaving with the two bras, three pairs of panties, and two matching sets. Daniel had picked most of it out, and insisted on paying for everything, too.

“Alright, now the shoe store, right?” you asked as the two of you walked out of the store hand in hand.

“Um, actually, do you think we could just head back home?”

You looked over at him, confused. “What, why? I thought the entire reason we came here was to pick up those shoes you ordered.”

“Well, yeah, but we can do that another day. I wanna get you home.” His tone had shifted, sounding lower and a little more assertive than before. Okay, you understood what was going on.

“I see. Sure, let’s go have a little fashion show.” you said cheekily.

He smirked, the blush returning to his cheeks. “I wanna see my little Angel in her new presents.”

Your stomach flipped at the way he called you ‘his little angel.’ Wow, I should take him shopping with me more often. “Ask and you shall receive, baby. Let’s go,” you said, dragging him towards the exit with nerves buzzing.

summary: you and j spend some quality time together, just the two of you

You didn’t watch him mix very often, usually you would lay in his bed on your phone, or reading a book. You would listen to the melodies and lyrics that came from his speakers, but it wasn’t very often that you would watch the process, and lately, you’ve been missing it. MIssed the way his fingers travelled across the keyboard and messed with the tones or pitches. You liked watching how his lips would silently mouth the lyrics he wrote and memorized, many of them about you (but you didn’t know that.)

The bed creaked a bit when moved off of it, slowly stretching out your legs as you walk to the other end of Jack’s room. Your hands meet his shoulders once you get to his desk, gently digging your thumbs into the muscles you know are sore from hours of leaning forward.

“Hey pretty girl, what’s up?” his voice is gruff from lack of use, his body melting into your touch.

“Hmm, nothing much, just wanted to come watch you.” you hum, leaning down to kiss from the side of his neck up to his jaw, smiling when his head falls back into you.

“Watch me do what?” he chuckles, reaching his arms above his head to hold onto you. You move around his chair as he rolls away from his desk, his hands still on you to guide you right in front of him.

You shrug your shoulders, letting his hands slide down your arms until his fingers intertwine with yours “I dunno, watch you mix, play around with your music and stuff.” you’re playing with his fingers absentmindedly, spinning his rings around and tracing the tattoos on his knuckles.

He’s smiling like an idiot as you stare down at the big socks covering your feet, every touch of yours stirring around the butterflies in his stomach. “Yeah, you wanna sit with me for a bit? I don’t think I’ll be too much longer.”

You shake your head, letting him swing your hand back and forth, “Take as long as you need, I just wanna be close to you, we can be quiet, just together.”

His smile softens, and he’s quickly pulling you into his lap, burying his face in the crevice between your neck and shoulder. “Okay, just together.” He repeats. kissing your ski before moving his head and looking back up at you. You wrap your arms over his shoulders, and it's your turn to your face in his neck, inhaling as much of his scent as possible.

“Where’d you get the hoodie, babe?” it comes out in the form of a giggle, and you just know you’ll never get over the sound.

“Found it in your closet.” you mumble against him, letting out a slow breath as his hand works his way under the fabric, rubbing your back soothingly as the other messes with the mouse. “It’s one of my favourites.” you add, and of course he knows that,he’d lost count of the amount of times it’s gone missing and he’s found it in your laundry hamper back at your apartment. Jack never really minded though, he liked how it looked on you, and that it always smelled of your favourite perfume and laundry detergent when he finally got it back.

“So I shouldn’t be expecting it back for at least a week right?” He jokes, gingerly stroking your spine because he knows it’ll make you squirm.

“J…” you groan, wiggling against him in an attempt to move away from his antics. It isn’t very successful, as he presses his palm firmly over your back, keeping your body as close to his as possible.

“I thought we were being quiet?” you can hear the grin in his voice, but that doesn’t stop you from pinching his side. “Oww” he whines, over exaggerating his pain, just wanting your kisses and affection.

“Oh hush, you’re fine.” you giggle, moving a bit so you’re looking at him again. He pouts still, moving his hands from his desk and your back to your hips, thumbs rubbing circles into them. “You want a kiss don’t you.” you ask, raising an eyebrow at him. He nods his head, the pout turning into a pucker as he leans a bit closer to your face. You roll your eyes, leaning into him too because of course you want a kiss too.

So the two of you stayed there for a while, he’d rub your back and you’d kiss his neck gently. Every so often one of you would maneuver because you craved the others lips. It was nice, it was quiet. “We should do this more often.” you said after a bit “Be like this, just together.”

“I’d like that.” Jack replies.

you jump in the shower, taking your sweet time. you dress in black ripped jeans and a red polka dotted shirt that tied at the front

you make yourself a healthy snack, and watch your boyfriend’s recent interviews on youtube. one of them caught you off gaurd

“are any of you guys dating?” the interviewer asks

corbyn keeps to himself like he has been in recent interviews due to him and christina keeping their relationship on the low. jack and jonah don’t say anything since neither of them have confirmed their relationships. zach says no because he is the only confirmed single one in the group and daniel stays quiet but the look on his face makes him seem very, very uncomfortable.

“ok then, we will move to the next question.” the interviewer awkwardly laughs

you close out of the interview and wonder why daniel was acting so odd during the interview

you guys have been dating since before he was on american idol. you come from his hometown, you guys went to school together, and you were there for him when he was on idol. you guys lived next door to each other, your parents were best friends and it was like your relationship came out of a book. the seavey’s live in la but your family still lives back in washington. you have moved out to la though, living in your own apartment.

you arrive at the boys’ apartment, already able to hear music coming from the pool area. you walk around to the back to see all the families are having a small party.

“ayy!” jack yells, coming to hug you “its good to see you y/n”

“aw you too hun, it feels like forever”

“y/n!” daniel exlaims, running over to you

“hey babe” you guys share a quick kiss before greeting everyone else

“dani, can i talk to you about something?” you ask

“yea babe, of course” daniel takes your hand and leads you to his apartment

you guys take a seat on the couch and you sigh

“so dani, i saw an interview earlier today where you were asked if you were dating anyone and you sat there awkwardly, with this odd look on your face and overall looked really uncomfortable. do you think it’s time that we announce to the fans that we are dating?” you look down at your hands scared of his reaction

“you know, that is the best idea i have heard all night” daniel says softly, leaning down to kiss you

you guys share a sweet kiss before telling the rest of the guys to come up to daniel’s apartment

“hey, whats going on?” zach asks, barging in to the room

you were getting ready for the concert, finishing up your makeup. you were wearing a short, yellow plaid skirt with a black long sleeve sweater. you had your hair half up half down, with small hoop earrings.

you arrive at the venue, only getting recognized by a few fans. you get in the back door rather easily. as soon as you get in, you head straight to the green room

“your girl is here” jonah yells out, bending down to give you a hug and kiss your cheek

“hey j” you smile

jonah walks away and daniel runs towards you, wrapping his arms around your small body

“babe! i’m so nervous!” daniel whispers

you wrap your arms around daniel only to retract them right away “daniel! ew! why are you so sweaty?”

“i’m sweating because i’m nervous, help!” daniel rushes his words

“babe, the fans already love me, some even saw me walking in and wanted to talk to me. this is going to be ok. people will hate but you mean the world to me, i love you” you finish with a smile

daniel looks up at you in aw, he feels so lucky. “i love you too” and with that daniel crashes his lips onto yours

“daniel! 5 minutes until meet and greet!” you hear someone yell which causes you to pull away. you look at your boyfriend who has your lipstick smeared all over his lips

“oh my, hun, my lipstick” you grab a napkin from the table of snacks and wipe his face

“thanks mom” daniel says sarcastically

“go to your meet and greet” you smile, pushing him away playfully

“see you on stage” daniel waves “never thought i would say that to you”

“me either” you giggle

“oh, by the way” daniel turns around right before he reaches the door “you look sexy as hell babe” he opens the door and walks away

“i want in!” eben runs over and joins

“ok, ok, i need to hear what he is saying!” you yell from the middle of the huddle. you guys disband and you walk to the stairs

“so i have been keeping something from you guys and i honestly don’t know why. this is a huge part of my life and you guys deserve to know. please don’t give any hate and if you do, i will squash you” daniel points out at the crowd, trying to look timid but instead he looks silly and the crowd laughs

“ok, come on out y/n” you walk up the stairs and see daniel standing right there, waiting for you to take his hand. you guys walk hand in hand to the center of the stage “as you guys might know, this is y/n. she has been in my life since i can remember. she is really important to me and the boys, but especially me. i could not have gotten this far in my career without her.” daniel pauses to look at you, you have tears in your eyes “i love her and she is my girlfriend” daniel wraps his arm around your waist and pulls you against his side

the crowd goes wild and you can only smile “sh, quiet down guys, i have reserved five or so minutes of the show for this. we will now take questions” daniel announces “please raise your hand and y/n will choose”

daniel hands you the mic and you are surprised by how heavey it is. you walk up to the girl against the baracade who recognized you earlier “whats your name hun?” you ask

“charlotte”

“what’s your question?”

“how long have you been dating?”

you walk back by daniel to answer, “we have been dating for a long time, before he was on idol so 5 years this july” you explain

“aw” the crowd echos

“ok daniel, you pick the next one” you hand the mic to daniel

he walks over to a girl on the other side of the baracde, “name and question”

“my name is elle and i want to know why you guys didn’t tell us sooner?”

“i honestly don’t know, we were just being us and you guys assumed we were best friends. we never corrected it and we don’t like pda” daniel explains to elle

daniel walks back to you, wrapping his arm around you. you turn to him smiling. you two were caught in your own world until you heard the crowd chanting “kiss”

daniel looks at you “do you want to?” he smiles

“only if you want to” you smile

“well you know my answer” and you guys give the crowd what they wanted

It was finally Friday and you couldn’t have been more relieved. It felt like you had a million things due for all your classes and you were working nonstop. So when Daniel asked you to come over for the fourth time this week you finally said yes, and he promised that you guys could just lay around and watch tv.

When you got to the boys’ house Daniel brought you into a hug and you swayed back and forth, “I missed you. You’re not allowed to leave me alone for that long,” he said only kind of jokingly, because he did really miss you. “Yeah yeah, I missed you too,” you laughed back.

When you went up to Daniel’s room you immediately layed on his bed and felt sleep coming upon you. Until Daniel bounced on the bed and brought you back to reality, but only for a second. “Baaaaaabe,” he whined. “Hmmm what?” He pulled you onto his chest, “what do you wanna watch?” “Uhh anything,” you replied basically half asleep.

Half way through one episode of The Office, Daniel noticed you had fallen asleep, and he smiled to himself while looking at you. He turned the tv off and started pulling the blanket you were sleeping on so you could be under the covers. “Mmm Dani what’re you doing,” you asked since the movement started to wake you up a little. “Putting the blanket over you, it’s okay go back to sleep,” he told you and kissed your forehead. “Hmm thank you, I love you,” you said softly and rolled over to face him since you were on your back. He got the blanket over you and he went under too and you scooted closer to him and he wrapped his arms around you, “if you need anything else just tell me, I’m right here.”

And for the rest of the evening you were in and out of sleep. Daniel would keep running his hands through your hair no matter what. He went to go make you a tea while you were asleep at one point because he knows it helps you relax more, and he also made soup. He knew you weren’t sick, but you were so exhausted from the week he didn’t want to make a huge meal or order fast food since he knew you had a lot through the week and weren’t happy about it.

When he walked upstairs with the soup he saw you were awake and sitting up now, “well good morning sunshine,” he said laughing, “I made you soup and there’s a cup of tea on the bedside table.” “You’re too good, I love you so much.” Daniel sat down beside you and gave you a bowl, “I love you too babe.”
