"Seperated marriage"
Summary:
Derek moves to LA to lead a SWAT team after quitting the FBI, only that he was married to Spencer when he moved. After two years of giving Morgan time and waiting for visits for him, waiting for him to change his mind, trying to adjust to a marriage Spencer knows hasn't been what it used to for a long time now, he travels down there.
(Derek Morgan (criminal minds) and Daniel “Hondo” Harrison (SWAT) are the same person in this)
Note: This was written for the whumptober challenge day 1 with the prompt "if only we could hold on"
Ao3
They are standing in the headquarters of the LAPD swat as Derek is informing them about the new developments on their case when he notices Tan and Streets focus shifting to something that is behind him and Hicks face of recognition when he turns around and sees Spencer standing there behind him.
“Spence” Surprised Derek lays the tablet away and walks towards his husband. He hasn't seen him in weeks, him being busy with SWAT, Spencer being back with the BAU. “What are you doing here?”
A bit confused by the situation the team eyes them, not knowing who Spencer is but being able to tell that Derek’s entire stance and face changed when he spotted him with them.
“We need to talk, I can't do it anymore” Spencer whispers as Derek comes closer, tears peaking in his eyes, avoiding Derek’s eyes just like he always does after a longer time apart,
“What are you talking about?”
“I cant’t- you are here, I am- I just- please” A tear runs down Spencer’s face as he tries to explain why he showed up here. Tries to explain the pain that has been creeping inside of him for the last few weeks. If he can even pinpoint it to the last weeks, maybe even months.
“Okay, take a deep breath-
“I don't want to take a deep breath, I want you to talk to me- I- I-”
“We will, just- not here” With a hand on Spencer’s back he guides him away from the eyes of the others, trying to find a quiet corner where he can find out what is going on with Spencer.
“What was that all about?” Street questions the moment they are out of hearing range.
“Seemed personal so lets not pry” Hicks speaks up, wanting to sush the group before more questions arise. He had met Spencer once and talked to him on one other occasion when he was worried about Derek so he knows what their relationship is but he also knows Derek has not been exactly showing off his relationship status. If anything, he has been hiding it. Ignoring it. Picking up on more than one occasion a guest for the night when they went out together. As far as Hicks is concerned it's their business, he is not about to get involved and he sure doesn't need the drama of the team getting involved in Derek's love life because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
“We can talk in here, love” Derek muttered as he guides Spencer into a quiet room that is usually used to speak to family members of the victims or witnesses. He waits till the door behind him is closed before he takes Spencer into his arms, “Now what is going on? What are you doing here?”
“I couldn’t-” Spencer presses his face against Derek’s shoulder, “I couldn’t- its to much” “What is too much?” Derek asks him calmly, not holding him back as Spencer tries to get out of the hug.
“The distance, you being here, me being back home, you not calling me, not texting the whole day- I can't do that anymore”
“Spencer we agreed-” Derek tries to reason as the tears start running down his face.
“We didn't agree on anything!” He yells, “On nothing. You packed your things, you moved here, you asked me if I want to come along, I- I struggled for a moment and you left! You just left”
“That's not how it went down, Spence-” “This is how it went down for me!”
“Okay, please-” Comforting Derek places his hands on Spencer’s arm, knowing full well Spencer is using every strength right now to ball his hands into fists hard enough to press his nails into his palms, “I know this hasn’t been easy on you”
“Do you?”
“Of course I do”
“Why did you have to leave-” “I didn't leave you, I left-” “The situation, yeah I know” Spencer bites back, “But I am part of exactly that situation”
“I gave you the choice-” “With what time to decide” “Spencer, what is your goal here?” Derek yells back, “We have been doing finde like this for the last two years”
“You have! You have your life, your job, your new friends. I am the one who is being torn in half between my home and you.”
“You decided that as well-”
“You act like you gave me a choice!” “I gave you a choice” Agitated Derek lets go of Spencer who immediately starts scratching his neck, while Derek takes a step back.
“I had- I had no way to decide- no time- I- I- everything I have is back there!” “Well except for me” Derek yells, “You decided against me as well, don't pin that on me” “Okay maybe I did, but this is not the way I can keep going. I didn't marry someone to then live hours apart and see each other when after a hundred days I have the luck to have my sanity questioned enough to have a mandatory break in which you do what? Not take one day off? Leave me in your house alone like I am some unwelcomed houseguest?”
“Well I didn't marry someone who would choose a job over his husband” Derek gives back.
“I didn't, you did” Spencer gives back and hurries out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
What Derek learned in the last two years that they have been more apart than together is that he at least can let go of Spencer enough to now let him run off until they are both cooled off. So he sits down on one of the chairs in the room. He knew this would come eventually, when they after a week of yelling and tears and suddenly no words at all agreed, that Derek would move to Los Angeles alone while Spencer stays back with the BAU, he had waited for the day this became too much for Spencer. When they lived together, when they were what both of them imagined in their marriage, Spencer was inseparable from Derek. Derek would wake up with Spencer cuddled to his chest, he would always pick the closest seat to Derek no matter where they were, he knew Spencer would not be able to lose that. And as selfish as it sounds, Derek was sure Spencer would just come around, would join him in LA a few months later but after the first few months with daily phone calls and hardly three visits from him, Spencer seemed to be doing alright. At least that was what he was telling Derek. He came to visit him a couple of times, using the days Emily implanted as the time he could spend with Derek and while they always fell back into place again, being inseparable in their home, as Derek sees it, in Derek’s home as Spencer sees it, when Jessica rang at that door when Spencer was there, Derek knew Spencer was not gonna let him forbid him not seeking the same physical comfort in others. And Derek is sure he did, maybe with Luke, maybe someone else, he never asked. And maybe he even did him wrong.
The team watches Spencer storm out of the precinct, catching a glimpse of the badge on his belt and figuring it must be related to an older case or maybe even to the BAU. It was Deac who eventually walked into the room where Spencer had come out of. “You okay?”
“Not really” Derek speaks up, looking back down on the floor,
“Do you wanna talk about it?”
“I am not sure you are the right guy for this” Derek tells him with a chuckle, “Believe me”
“Well try me” Deacon closes the door after them, “I am here to help, he seemed pretty upset as he ran out, was he an old friend? Did you work together”
“We did”
“Here in LA?”
“Nah with the FBI”
“So what is he doing here? Was it about an old case?” Deacon keeps pushing, “Can we help you?”
“This is something I have to figure out alone with him”
“Are you sure?” “Yes” Slowly Derek gets up, feeling the nervous pit in his stomach when he thinks about the fact that he doesn't know where Spencer is. When he is back home he knows the team has always an eye on him, here the team thinks that about him. If they even know that he is here, “Sorry, I need to go. I need to check on him”
“I will tell Hicks” Deacon promises, accepting his fate that he is not going to know what this is about for the moment, “Anything else?”
“Nah, I am gonna have to find him, I will call you if you need any help”
“Don’t hesitate”
“As long as you don’t” Derek mutters under his breath and Deacon pretends that he has not heard it.
*
“Spencer, call me back if you get this, I am worried, let's talk at home, we can work this out” Derek speaks onto Spencer’s mailbox while leaving the headquarters, as Hicks catches up with him.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah just need to straighten a few things up, sorry about that”
“You are on duty”
“This is more important” Derek tells him, “I need to find him, I didn't even listen to him before I became defensive”
“Is he okay?”
“To be honest, I don't know, we have barely talked for all I know he could be in every mental state there is and I wouldn't have known” Derek starts ranting, “And he comes here and I don't even listen to him”
“He surprised you-” “Well I will be glad if that's the only surprise” Derek mutters and tries calling Spencer again, no one picking up the phone, “If this man would use his goddamn phone”
“We can track it if you want” For a moment Derek hesitates but all the doubts if that's the right way vanish the moment he thinks about how agitated Spencer was, “You do that and I start looking for him”
“Should I involve your team?” “Let's wait with that”
To Derek's surprise Emily is the one who calls him before Spencer does about an hour after Spencer had left the precinct, “I shouldn't be telling you this but Spencer just called Rossi in tears, talking about how your marriage is not to be safed crying bitterly, please tell me you know where he is”
“I don't, I am looking for him, he isn't at my house, not at the bookstore he goes to, I don't know. “ Panicked Derek gets back into his car, “And our marriage is not over-”
“I know that”
“We just need, we can't go on like this, we are not supposed to be married like this, this is not how we work-”
“Derek I am maybe biased because I see Spencer every day but you are the one that needs to close this gap between you two. No one else can do that. We have been on your team long after you left but even we cant excuse you anymore”
“I am not the only one in this marriage” “You are the one that has been one foot out ever since you moved. And I love you but that's not gonna stop me from calling you an asshole.” Emily tells him as Derek starts the car again, “Now Rossi is in contact with Spencer, he is fine but not thinking straight, he is not melting down but a binge away from panicking, Garcia has his phone tracked and I will send you the location. And if you don’t crawl there on your knees and listen to that man I will come down there personally and pick that kid up and make him sign the divorce paper. Am I being clear?” “Yes Ma’am”
“Good”
Emily was there when they got married, standing there with the biggest smile on her lips, cheering them on as they kissed and Spencer cheeks lit up in bright red as Derek kissed him again just like on their first date. He had loved doing that to him, kissing him casually and when he ignored him or passed it off planting an extra long kiss on his cheek, wanting him to embarrassingly slightly push him away as he grows red. He had loved showing Spencer off in every new precinct they went to, loved how the officers shut up when Spencer talks about the facts he has in his brain and if not making the officers shut up. He had loved having their wedding pictures on the wall and loved watching the video entirely filmed out of Henry's perspective with a camcorder that shows a bit more of JJ than the actual couple. And now, he hasn't worn his ring to a shift here ones, the wedding pictures are still packed in one of the moving boxes and the last time he has kissed Spencer before today was three months ago at breakfast before he hurried to work and was to scared to drive Spencer to the airport in case anybody sees them.
Garcia comes through with the location, probably because she has his location anyways, something Morgan used to have as well before Spencer got a new phone and he forgot to install it again. “Spencer!” He calls as he sees him walking down a street, “Spencer stop” A bit relieved Spencer looks at him, “What are you doing here, you had me worried sick?”
“I- i- don't know- i left and tried to get to your house and- its all- I don't know”
“Love, you don't make any sense right now, let's just get you in the car and then home okay?” With a firm grip he leads Spencer over the street, guiding him into the passenger seat before buckling him up, “I am so sorry love” He whispers before kissing him on the forehead and getting into the car himself.
“We will drive home and then we can talk okay?”
“I- I don't want to talk anymore- I need things to change” Spencer speaks up, “I love you but I cant hold onto this anymore”
“I know”
“Do you? Because you have done nothing to fix it”
“I- I don't know it was this bad-” “Didnt you feel it too?” Spencer gets agitated again, “You are supposed to miss me too, you are supposed to love me-” “Can we please just get home first?”
“No, I need an answer now” Spencer insists, “Can we fix this?”
“We always can”
“You need to want it too?”
“I don't know what you want me to say” There is a long moment of silence in which Spencer cries quietly before wiping the tears of his face with his hands, “Spencer-”
“Alright” “Alright what?”
“Alright”
“Spence-”
“Just tell me”
“Tell you what?”
“What- how many were there? Do the others know? What- What is there you do because I don't believe you don't hurt as much as I do”
“I do hurt but you are right there were others” Derek confesses and turns the engine back off, “The others dont know. I came here and pretended everything was different. They don't know who you are, they don't know why I left, they don't know anything, there were a few woman and man I have slept with and one woman i slept with more than once but that's it”
“Thats it” Spencer mutters, “You asked” He shrugs at that, “Don't tell me you haven't been sleeping around back home”
“I havent” “Right” Derek scoffs, “At least I am honest with you”
“We are not going to work this out are we?”
“I dont think so” For the first time since Derek has met Spencer he looks at him and does not want to kiss that face at least a hundred times, wrap him into his arms, never let him go. For the first time he looks at him and he feels nothing apart from a breathtaking pain in his chest, “You at least feel this stupid pain too?”
“Have been for weeks” Quietly Spencer plays with the wedding ring on his finger, “I can't take it off”
“I know, you never have” “Would it be weird if I leave it on?”
“No”
“Where is yours?”
“Don't do that to yourself kid” He smiles at that,
“Guess now you can call me that again” Spencer jokes,
“Not a chance in hell, it was a slip up, you will always be my love i am not gonna change it”
*
“You okay?” Deacon questions when Derek arrives at work the next day, looking like he feels.
“Not at all”
“We are here for you” He repeats,
“Well I was an asshole and now I’ve gotta deal with it” Derek tells him, “Have you ever thought about leaving Annie?” “Not a second” The answer came without missing a beat. “Why?”
“I told you I am not sure you are the one who wants to hear about this” Derek reminds him and continues walking towards the locker room. “And again, I am here for you” He insists,
“The man that showed up here yesterday was my husband” Derek confesses, “Well soon to be ex-husband” For a moment Deacon looks at him in shook, “We have been together for 9 years, its over, it was long overdue”
“Overdue?”
“Yes” Derek tells him “Now I don't want to talk about this any more, I will be fine”
*
“Oh Spence” JJ picks him up at the airport as he comes back, “I am so sorry”
“I knew this would happen”
“Doesn’t make it any easier” “He seemed so fine”
“He always does, you know he is hurting just as much.”
*
They don't reach out for the next week, and the week after that and even the third week gets left behind without a word until Spencer is standing in the conference room with the others, discussing the new case when Emily starts looking past him, her eyes lighting up “Derek!” She exclaims and Spencer immediately feels a relief coming through his body. That they didn’t talk, Rossi told him, does also mean they are both not ready to get onto the final steps of handing in the papers. Of really saying goodbye to each other. And he had been right. After the first anger at Derek's inability to understand where Spencer was coming from Spencer had spent the days thinking about ways to fix the situation again.
“Well is this a sight I miss” Derek tells them looking around the conference room he had been sitting in way to many years, “Hey” He speaks more quietly as he approaches Spencer, “We need to talk” Comforting placing a hand on his back, “Again”
“Let me finish this up and then I will be with you” “Alright pretty boy” With a smile he walks to an empty chair, “Mind if I sit in on this one?”
“If you can handle it” Rossi jokes and Spencer gets back to talking over the case, his hands visibly shaking, eventually so much that he has to put the papers down in order to continue because he couldn't read anything on them this way anyway. “Let us finish this, you two get out of here”
“Wheels up in 20, you two better make it quick”
“We will” Derek promises them and leaves the room after Spencer, walking the hallways down to his old office that is currently unused. “Feels strange being back”
“Especially here” Quickly Spencer glances over to the couch where they spend more than a handful of times relieving from a case, “You can't go through with it either”
“No chance” “But we can also not go on this way”
“I know”
“You are not going to move back either”
“No” Derek admits, “Even being here makes me think I forgot how to breathe, I can't- this is not something I can handle in my life anymore.”
“And I am?” Spencer whispers.
“What are you talking about?”
“Well me, me and my- my habits and just me- you didn't just flee from a job and a home you also fled fled from me”
“I know but it was not because of you, I promise.” Derek insists, reaching out to hold Spencer’s hand. “I know our marriage isnt what it used to be and I fucked up but I think we deserve a second chance. Not here-”
“But in LA”
“We will find a house, you can take lighter work at a university, consulting on our cases, we spend days with a routine not flying away to different cities and being ripped out of our regular lives. We deserve to spend the evening on the couch arguing about what movie we watch and who is going to pick up groceries on their way home” Spencer smiles at that.
“Well you already have a house-” He whispers, “It just needs a few more books in them”

Requested by Anon - TW: School Shooting. Could write smth with Hondo from swat where (y/n) is a teacher and she's dating Hondo and there's a school shooting at the school she's working and maybe she gets hurt trying to protect some students (but nothing to serious)? Warnings – School shooter, violence. Characters – Hondo x Reader Word Count – 504
When Hondo and his team got a call that there was an active shooter and he was at your school, he was in a different mind set completely. Knowing you could be at risk he was dead focussed on the job. But as the day continued and they caught the shooter and finally hand him in cuffs, Hondo still wouldn’t come out his mind set. He then saw Mindy, a teacher he had meet once or twice, he walked over to her and the small group of teachers standing around. ‘Mindy?’ He asked, she turned to him and her eyes widened. ‘Hondo?’ She said shocked, the other teachers looked him up and down, never having saw him before. ‘Where’s Y/N?’ He asked, the others looked at each other before they started mumbling and having conversations with their eyes. ‘She’s getting checked by the paramedics.’ Mindy told him, his heart started beating faster, his grip on his gun tightened. ‘What happened?’ He questioned. ‘She was trying to get the last couple of kids out when he snuck up behind her.’ Mindy said, his jaw clenched. ‘She was clutching her arm, but I don’t know anything else.’ She informed him, he licked his lips before nodding stiffly. ‘Thanks.’ He said gruffly, she nodded as he turned away. The chatter and gossip between the women got louder but he ignored it as he searched the ambulances for you.
‘Y/N?’ Hondo said, his gun behind him as he walked up to you. You were currently sitting in an ambulance. He cupped your cheeks as he looked over you, checking for any injuries. ‘I’m fine. It was just a graze.’ You informed him, as he looked at the bandage around your upper arm. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at you, emotions mixed together. ‘What were you thinking?’ He asked, his fingers digging in slightly. ‘I was protecting my class.’ You told him, placing a hand on his chest, above his heart. ‘That’s our job.’ He said, you smiled gently at him. ‘No, your job was to get the shooter.’ You told him, you watched as he sighed, you reached up to him and pressed your forehead against his. ‘You got him and the kids are fine, we’re good.’ You said, moving your hand from his chest and back of his neck before cupping his cheeks, running your thumbs over his cheeks, as he leaned into it. ‘Don’t do that again.’ He warned you. ‘You know I can’t promise you that.’ You replied, he sighed and nodded before pressing a kiss to your forehead. ‘You sure your good?’ He asked, you smiled sweetly at him and nodded. ‘Yes.’ You moved your head back, ‘You can check me thoroughly later on if you want?’ You suggested; he raised an eyebrow before nodding. ‘Make it a date.’ He said, you nodded before he pressed a quick kiss to your lips. ‘I need to go but I’ll see you later.’ He said, you hummed and nodded, as he stepped back from you.

If you’ve been living under a rock or simply don’t live in California so your entire world doesn’t revolve around the Disneyland Resort, then you may not know that the newest addition to the park – Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge – has officially opened as of this past Friday.
I’ve been excited about this for FOUR years now, since the announcement that there would be a Star Wars themed land. The closer it got though, the more that it just seemed like it wouldn’t be in the cards for me though. I unfortunately haven’t been able to afford an annual pass in quite some time, and a day ticket is a lot for me. I was counting down the days until opening but I had a feeling that I would not be there.
That literally changed about three weeks ago. Let me start with a little backstory. I’ve been to Disneyland a handful of times in the past two years and I took the same picture every single time, starting with one taken in August of 2017. They had started the construction on Galaxy’s Edge and there was a really cool walkway and wall leading to where the land was going to be. I took a picture sitting in front of it, staring wistfully at the picture, and posted it on Instagram, joking about how I was first in line.
I was contacted by someone named Frank, who is now a friend of mine after two years of instagram following, who let me know that my picture caught the eye of Disney and they wanted to know if they could have permission to use the image in promotion stuff. I thought it was kind of crazy, but gave my information and thought nothing of it. Frank and I stayed IG friends though and that was great!
A few weeks ago, Frank reaches out to me, asks for my email, saying that Disney Parks wants to get in contact with me. Hmm, okay. So I passed along my email – which is basically public anyway – and waited. I received an email from someone named Mark, who works for Disney Parks, asking if he could have ten to fifteen minutes to chat on the phone with me. After Googling him frantically and finding that he seemed pretty legit, I okayed the phone call. It basically boiled down to they can’t tell me why, but they want to come film me being surprised with…something. I set it up for a few days later.
Long story short – which you guys know I’m NEVER good at – Mark, one of the Disneyland Ambassadors, Justin, and a full camera crew came to my apartment and surprised me with a trip to Galaxy’s Edge before it opened to the public.
And while I had a *slight* idea that it had to do with SWGE, I had no idea it would be this and I was in awe of this opportunity for the weeks prior to it actually happening. You can watch the video below…its super fun and way way awkward haha!
Fast forward a few weeks to this past Wednesday, the 29th. This was the day I got to go and I found out a few days prior that this was going to be the media day and the day of the official dedication/opening ceremony. I was seriously SO excited. I had a ton of cast member friends that went to their previews, but they weren’t allowed to take pictures and I was just ACHING to have my trip to the land. I was so ready for it.
Daniel and I showed up at the Disneyland Hotel a little after 1 pm, which was the check in. We were given Park Hoppers to get into the parks before the event started 630 pm but we decided to go hang out at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for a little bit. Its my favorite place and all of my favorite Skippers work during the day so I never see them anymore and I haven’t been in SO long. It felt like the perfect way to start what was sure to be an awesome night.
When it was finally getting close to event time, we headed to the park, rode Winnie the Pooh once because YES, and then headed over to SWGE. I was so excited and ready for it. We were told we were allowed to take as many pictures and videos as we wanted and we could start posting and sharing as soon as the media embargo ended at 6 pm. I had also learned that not only were we going to be in a great spot for the dedication ceremony but that all the food and drinks for the event were complementary. I was already sorting through my head what I could and could not try with my budget and this was SO exciting to me because I wanted to try everything!
Then it was time. At exactly 630 pm, they let the mass of media and media guests come into the land and that is when I saw Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the first time.
I cannot even begin to explain how I felt. It felt like experiencing something I never thought I would experience in my life. Its one thing to immerse yourself into a fictional world but its another for it to come to life in front of you and that is exactly how it felt. I spent four and a half hours in SWGE and I felt completely immersed in the Star Wars universe the entire time. I always knew that Disney was capable of transporting you – I worked there for long enough to know that – but this was beyond my expectations. I forgot completely that I was in Disneyland.
It was more than just visiting another land in the park – you were genuinely in Batuu. The cast members are Batuu residents and they are fully committed to their characters and the story of the land. I loved that the First Order Troopers walked around looking for Resistance fighters and that the Resistance fighters would hide. It felt REAL. I loved it. I loved the architecture and the shops and the food places. The Millennium Falcon? ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. My favorite fictional transportation come to life in front of me, life size? I was in love. I was truly blown away at how much I felt transported to another planet. Truly, it was amazing. I have about a thousand pictures but I tried to share some of my favorite pictures!

The food and drinks were SO great and they were a big thing that I couldn’t wait to try! Food isn’t really a big thing in the Star Wars universe so I was really excited to see what they came up with! The big thing that I wanted to try, of course, was blue milk. I honestly had NO idea what it was going to be like and I was pleasantly surprised by both the blue milk and the green milk and how good they were! They were sort of these sweet, fruity smoothie like drinks and I seriously enjoyed them. I found out later that they have coconut milk in them and I’m allergic to coconut and that’s why I felt sick at the end of the night but at least I tried them LOL! I didn’t try as much food as I wanted but what I did try was seriously delicious – I loved the cold noodles and alllll of the desserts were DELICIOUS!

The dedication ceremony was short but incredible. I haven’t done a big event like this in so long and it reminded me how much I truly miss it. It was done in front of the Millennium Falcon, which was the first time I saw it close up and it looked just so amazing! Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, said some words and then he brought out freaking LEGENDS – George Lucas, Billy Dee Williams, Mark Hamill and…Harrison Ford, Han Solo himself, one of the biggest childhood (and adult) crushes of my life. I can’t even explain how much awe I was in to be in the presence of these amazing people that I grew up watching.

The Millennium Falcon Smuggler’s Run was opened immediately after and we raced – walked, of course – to the entrance. Because it was a small event and there weren’t a ton of people, we were able to go on the ride three times. It has a Star Tours sort of ride, bumpy and fun, and super interactive. There are three options for roles – pilot, who literally uses a toggle to steer, gunner, who basically button mashes and makes sure to take those TIE fighters out and the engineer, who has to push and flip a selection of buttons and switches in your mission. We did all three roles and each one was seriously fun. I think I liked pilot and engineer the most – I was terrible at pilot though but pushing the buttons and flipping the switches while being an engineer felt SO cool. The entire queue walk through was super cool and seeing Hondo – a favorite from Clone Wars and Rebels – before getting on was even better.

We checked out some of the merchandise but I was a good girl and kept myself from buying anything. A lot of the merch was SERIOUSLY cool and I wish I had taken pictures of it but there were definitely things to covet – Ahsoka dolls, lightsaber and droid building experiences. Maybe someday haha! But there were certain things I wanted that I was happy to get my hands on and those were the thermal detonator soda bottles! They’re so so cool! I am so glad to have the entire collection. I also am proud of my media pass, my ticket for the day and my grand opening pin. These are things I truly will treasure forever – along with my giant SURPRISE SARA poster. This was an amazing experience.

My nerd girl self was also seriously stoked at seeing the celebrities that kept popping up as I explored Batuu – Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Chris Paul, Ty Simpkins, and freaking Brie Larson. You guys know my OBSESSION with Captain Marvel so when I realized she was there, I lost it and I definitely embarrassed myself. I told her she’s amazing and that I absolutely loved Captain Marvel. I asked her for a picture but she was enjoying as a guest so she politely declined but said thank you for saying hi and she was so sweet and nice and I am so stoked at even the small interaction with a lady I look up to so so much. I also met Sam Witwer for the first time, who does the voice for Darth Maul in Clone Wars, Rebels and Solo, and is FANTASTIC.
I even saw Ashley Eckstein, founder of Her Universe and the voice of the EPIC Ahsoka Tano – we are basically friends at this point haha. I was stoked to see her husband, David, as well – he’s my favorite baseball player of all time and I totally was a fool in front of him just like I was a few years ago when I met him the first time. I swear, being 31 does not kill your fangirl tendencies. But its also nice to know that I’m not jaded from meeting so many of my fave celebs – I can still act like a total dweeb!

I am so insanely grateful to Disney and to Frank and Mark for this experience. It honestly was beyond anything I could have imagined. Not only did I get to experience of my favorite stories come to life in front of me in a brilliant and beautiful way, but I had a one of a kind time doing it. Seeing all these people I look up to like George Lucas and Brie Larson, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill, Ashley Eckstein…it was incredible and being able to say that I was there for the opening ceremony is just an honor and a privilege.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is only accessible via reservations (which are full) until June 24th and then the land is fully open to the public! Right now, I’m genuinely so impressed with the reservation system and how its gone so smoothly, how the lines have been short and manageable and the crowds have been great. I have a feeling once it opens to the public, it’ll be more crowded but that won’t stop me from recommending that everyone head to Batuu as soon as they can. If you’re a HUGE Star Wars fan, if you’re a casual fan, or even if you just love seeing what Disney and their Imagineers are capable of – you just have to go. You have to. I have loved Disneyland my entire life, ever since I was a young child, and I’ve been lucky enough to go consistently through out my life and they still managed to just blow my mind with this addition. Its just absolutely perfect. I can’t wait to go back.
IGNITE THE SPARK. LIGHT THE FIRE!
May the Force be With You!

Complaint
A man makes complaint against Hondo. The only thing stopping him from being fired is you and the rules about in team relations. Characters – Hondo x Reader Word Count - 553
‘What are you doing here?’ You asked Hondo as he appeared at your office door. ‘I’ve been benched.’ He said as he entered, you stopped what you were doing. ‘Why?’ You questioned. ‘Someone has said that I pulled him over and searched him without consent and took a bag of drugs off of him for personal use.’ Hondo told you, you raised an eyebrow. ‘What night?’ You quizzed. ‘Two nights ago, when we-‘ He explained. ‘We were at the restaurant.’ You said, and he nodded. ‘What’s gonna happen?’ You asked him, as he took a seat on your desk. ‘He’s managed to get every detail right and it’s looking like I’m going to be suspended possibly fired.’ He explained, you placed a hand on his knee and rubbed it reassuringly. ‘You have to tell them.’ You told him, looking up at him. ‘We said we wouldn’t.’ He said, as he placed a hand on yours. ‘It’s either keep quiet and you get suspended or we tell them, and you have a solid alibi.’ You told him, ‘You’re forgetting the part when this is forbidden.’ ‘I’ll figure it out.’ You told him, he smiled and nodded. Raising your hand and giving them a small kiss before pushing himself off the desk and making his way out your office.
‘Jessica.’ You said, she turned to you. You smiled as you approached her. ‘What can I do for you?’ She asked, you reached into your pocket and handed her the folded bit off paper, she unfolded it and read it, her eyes widening. ‘Are you sure?’ She asked you, you nodded. ‘Okay.’ She said, you smiled sadly before you both walked to her office. When she opened it, she was shocked to see the lieutenant and the lady from human resources, along with Hondo. ‘Hondo, what are you doing here?’ Jessica questioned, closing the door behind you. ‘I wanted to tell you that I have an alibi for the night.’ He told them. ‘Who?’ Jessica asked, Hondo glanced at you as you nodded. ‘Y/N.’ He said. and everyone turned to you. ‘Okay. What did you do?’ She questioned you. ‘I went over to his around five and made us dinner, he arrived around ten when he finished up her, then we watched the Lakers came with went into overtime and I stayed over.’ You told them, you noticed the lady writing everything down. ‘We need to have a talk about this later.’ The lady said. ‘Why?’ You quizzed. ‘It’s against the rules to date someone within the team.’ She told you, you shrugged your shoulders. ‘Why, only one of us works here.’ You said, Hondo’s head snapped towards you. ‘Since when?’ She questioned. ‘This morning.’ You told him. ‘Where are you going to go?’ He asked worriedly. ‘Mel at Avery Heights has a space that opened up. She offered it to me last week.’ You informed him. ‘And you took it?’ He questioned, you nodded. ‘Why?’ He quizzed. ‘It’s easier for me. You’d be leaving behind your whole team whereas I’m just leaving my office.’ You told him truthfully. ‘Well, if you are both working in separate departments and you have an alibi then, we need to take this to the supposed victim.’ The lieutenant said, you nodded and stepped back allowing them to get past.

Mr SWAT
Requested by @controloffandoms - Okay, here's for Hondo! Hondo and the reader get off on the wrong foot when they are both assigned to the same case (reader is from a different agency like FBI, DEA, or something). There's a lot of tension between them so the team decides to try and help them both get over their tension. The reader save's Hondo's ass and Hondo asks the reader out. Characters – Hondo x Reader Word Count – 628
‘Hondo, I want you to meet Agent Y/L/N with the FBI and her team, they’ll be working alongside you and your team.’ Jessica said, Hondo turned along with his team taking in the three agents. ‘Jessica, we don’t need their help.’ Hondo told her, she nodded in agreeance but couldn’t respond. ‘You might not need it but you’re getting it.’ You responded. He finally looked at you. ‘Just don’t get in our way and you’ll be fine.’ Hondo told you, you nodded. ‘Sure.’ You replied before turning to your team. Telling them to go do something. ‘How many do you believe he’s keeping hostage?’ You quizzed him. ‘Three.’ He replied. ‘Just three?’ You questioned, wanting to get the correct information for your team. He nodded. ‘Yes, as far as we can see.’ He informed you. ‘Have you specified which room he’s in?’ You asked, he nodded. ‘Room 3.18.’ He said, you nodded. Before you all got ready to head up, your team member with one each, you and Hondo together as you made your way up the stairs, closest to the room. You and he didn’t say anything only signalling to you’re the small teams when you could see them. When you arrived at the third level, you were making your way to the room when you saw the door open to your left, you pushed Hondo forward as you grabbed the door and shut the person hand in it and their gun dropped to the floor. As Hondo turned around he noticed someone else enter the hallway and start shooting, you ducked and ran behind him as you both started moving back the way.
‘Go behind cover.’ Hondo said, you moved behind the wall as he started firing back, you noticed the small path way continued around the corner. You pulled your gun out before walking down it carefully, and around the corner, you walked the small distance before you came to the corner, looking around it you saw the suspect firing down the corridor to where Hondo was. You put the gun back in the holster and started running down the hallway, grabbing him and continued running as the force of you and him hitting the railing caused it to snap and you both fell through, landing in the swimming pool below.
Hondo ran to the edge and looked over, watching your two figures under the water. When you came up to the surface taking a deep breath whilst holding the suspect, who was taking deep breaths as well. ‘I hate motels.’ You said, moving your wet hair out your face. You and the man swam over to the edge before the man got out and was cuffed by Hondo. You pulled yourself out the water as the others came through the comms to say that had everyone else. ‘I owe you for saving my life.’ He said, you shook your head as you removed your jacket and long sleeve shirt, now just standing in a vest top he handed you a towel. ‘Thanks.’ You said, unfolding it. ‘A simple thank you would do.’ You told him as you rubbed your hair, so the excess water came out, you then reached for the bobble on your wrist and tied it up in a messy bun. ‘How about a coffee?’ He offered as you pulled a shirt on. ‘Sure you can spare me sometime Mr SWAT?’ You teased. He chuckled slightly. ‘For you any day.’ He flirted back, you smiled and nodded. ‘Okay, I’ll be in the office all day tomorrow, so pop in when you can.’ You told him as you saw one of your team members signal for you over his shoulder. ‘I’m sorry. I’ve got to go.’ You said as you passed by him.

Class
Requested by Anon - TW: School Shooting. Could write smth with Hondo from swat where (y/n) is a teacher and she’s dating Hondo and there’s a school shooting at the school she’s working and maybe she gets hurt trying to protect some students (but nothing to serious)?
