Leon and Kazuichi

SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG I am still working through these!!

I don't think about Leon enough for how neat of a role he has in dr1. I think the thing that stand s to me most with him is his execution. Being the first in the whole series it's really chilling to watch, and sets up the tone for the game and despair of the setting in a way that feels weirdly (/pos) grounded and horrifying. It's really really good!! He also has some very fun sprites and very confusing hair

Kaz's design is SO GOOD??? The colour scheme, the jumpsuit, the inexplicable pointy teeth?? He has a really killer character design that is really fun to play around with. He's also like. Stupid funny to watch in game and I really enjoy his competitiveness with Gundham. Also, Kazuichi was the first DR character I ever knew of!! I remember seeing art of him on my dash and thinking him + his name was cool, but I thought it was someone's OC and not a danganronpa character gdhsjkfsd

Tis us again, the guys who are developing Danganronpa: Negative Hope, here with a new update!

We now officially have the full cast of victims ultimate students for our little project!

We're working on making an initial sprite for all of them, and we're very excited to show them all to you guys at some point. (Hopefully sooner rather than later-)

We also have a name for the academy the story will take place in, but since it's not set in stone yet, we won't be able to share it just yet.

For now, that's it, but look forward to more updates if it interests you, we'll try to give more updates as soon as we can!

Mock Sprites of my oc Raules Juniper, the Ultimate Mortician!

Raules was a member of the 41st Killing Game, one of the last real ones. Ne was the mastermind, acting under a despair that worked like an addiction to see death.

They never actually killed anyone, just set the pieces in place and watched, so when the final trial came up and ne was found out, their execution was stopped halfway by the Danganronpa Team (a team of Despair remnants who produced the later games) to save Raules from an “illegal punishment time.”

I saw you talking about what you thought of danganronpa character designs, and was curious what you think about two of my friend's designs and one of my own! (though all the sprites are made by my friend) Please answer privately if you can? ^^'

This blonde one is named Danielle Bowmen, thought it's shortened to Danny. She is the ultimate demolition expert! She did all of her piercings herself and bleaches her own hair

This green haired girl is named Mai. I don't know her last name actually- But anyway, she's the ultimate belly dancer ^^ Her little snake arm thing is a reference to her pet snake :) Her little veil on her face is to cover a cleft lip scar ^^

This is my original character ^^ She's really basic as she was my first ever danganronpa OC, though I've never really had the heart to change her ^^' She's the ultimate dancer! She has hearing aids, but I've never had the chance to really display them- Lemme hear some of your thoughts please :D

Ok first of all, Thank You for sending me these! They all look really good! You asked for commentary and i would love to give some.

Before i start, i just wanna say that any suggestions i give are just that: Suggestions! You do not have to take them seriously or take them at all. The thing that matters most is that the designs make you happy! And with that, lets analyze:

Danielle:

-very good aesthetic. She looks tough!

-for color palette reasons i would do a very slight adjustment on either the pants, shirt or vest. Just make one of them (i suggest the shirt) lighter, so it really brings it all together

-i would personally go the extra mile to beefen her up, since demo takes a lot work. I would add scars that are just a tad bit more visible too, to really sell the “tough guy look”

-however i have no qualms with this character design! its really great :))

Mai:

-i saw her and almost instantly guessed her ultimate.

-thats what good character design does, it reveals the most important details about a character

-i only have two, very subtle changes that i would make

-i would probably change the shoes, or just forego them completely, and opt for some stacked ankle jewelry (it adds to the aesthetic)

-i would also do a subtle hair color change. The green hair is pretty but its a tad bit distracting from her GORGEOUS outfit. I would just pick a darker, more muted shade of green, or just do dark brown or black.

-of these character designs, this one probably is my favorite

Ieshi:

-she‘s very cute!

-i know u said she’s the ultimate dancer, so i had some fun ideas to spice her up

-first off: Add the hearing aids!!! Representation is important, especially for people with disabilities.

-An easy way to show the hearing aids and also add to the dancer aesthetic is to pull her hair back (most dance classes dont allow you to wear your hair down for class)

-a ponytail will really set her apart from other dr characters

-Also maybe giving her a more dancer-y outfit, to add to her silhouette

-Something like this will make her individual to the large cast of characters

-one more thing. the color palette. i like the colors as a guideline, but they are very dark - midtone, which might muddy things in certain sprites. This is also a pretty easy fix.

-Heres an adjusted color palette that keeps a similar feel to the original, but is a bit more concise and has enough variation to make it a bit less confusing.

-Overall i like the character and concept, and i totally wanna know more about her
