the thing about phil inviting dan up on stage at the boncas is THE running joke of that show was how dan and phil are attached at the hip. jack and conor maynard who were hosting and some of the award presenters all kept making quips about it because the majority of the (oh so many) videos that were nominated were joint content. hell even dan and phil were in on it, phil kept "accidentally" walking out on stage "looking for the bathroom" as part of their setup for the internet is here performance at the end and then dan would walk in after him because lol ex dee of course they're going to piss together

and idk to me that all makes the gesture hit so much harder. everyone spent the entire show going lol dan and phil can't spend a second apart and then phil so painfully earnestly goes actually? yeah. all jokes aside we really are attached at the hip and i love that and i want it to stay that way and it wouldn't feel right to accept this award without dan, so i'd like to share this with him as well

Guys we all remember when Dan and Phil had the argument about dan buying Phil 3 lamps for Christmas one year, well I think I might have discovered something, I was just rewatching old Phil vids and:

PHIL BOUGHT THE LAMP! This now leads me to one of three conclusions:

A) Phil pretended to buy the lamp because he already had it from Dan giving it to him and wanted to put it in his background and needed to have a few items to buy on camera

B) Phil bought the lamp actually in the video and got confused/played up the story of dan buying him three lamps when he only bought him two

C) dan actually did buy Phil three lamps but the story is even funnier because he bought Phil three lamps and one of which he already owns (the lamp he buys in the video)

Anyways whichever one it is, I love it, I love this domestic drama it’s so sweet.

Okay, this has probably been done a million times already but hear me out: Ive got an idea. For a story.

What if, one day, Dan wakes up, with an unusual headache. He gets up, but he is in a home he doesn't recognize. It's all his stuff, it all seems familiar but it seems wrong. First and foremost, because Phil isn't there.

He checks his phone, but he doesnt recognize most of the contacts. The names in his calendar dont ring anything.

He takes a google search, just, you know to make sure Dan and Phil exist? But he only finds the channel AmazingPhil, a kind of big youtuber with a million subscribers doing fun sketches every now and then.

The only search result for Dan Howell is the lawyer Daniel Howell who deals with financial sueings.

And Dan finds out, over the next hours, that in this universe he and Phil never met. He never had the guts to reach out and even tho he loved Phil's content they never talked. And now, coming from a world where they did, where Phil is his missing half, his partner in crime, his immortal turtle, he does everything to go back there and to find Phil in every timeline.
