if i could express how much Need You Here by iDKHOW means to me
#need you here is about dallon's relationship with his daughter#how much he loves her#how much she loves him#how much they miss each other when they're apart#how much they wish to see each other again when they're apart#there are audio recordings from when she was a child of her saying her daddy will come back because he promised#she sings in the song as well and her voice is beautiful#i will never have that relationship with my father#it will never happen and i'm not upset about that#but to know that that kind of relationship--that kind of love exists makes me so happy#the fact that someone can have something so beautiful that i can never have because i need to know that exists#dallon has said it himself that one of his most memorable performances was Need You Here because it means so much to him#i myself am a generally jealous person but i could never be jealous or upset at this#i've lost faith in ever having a father daughter relationship and i have no negative feelings about that#but it's made me doubt in the past that there's no such thing as a good father#but knowing that's not true has made me more happy than ever#i think it's because someone doesn't have to see their father like how i see mine
