Eagles to place Dallas Goedert on Injury Reserve.

According to NFL Media Reports, the Philadelphia Eagles are putting their start tight end on injury reserve.

On Saturday, the Eagles placed tight end Dallas Goedert on injury reserves due to a knee injury he suffered during their Week 13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Goedert caught three passes for 35 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game with a knee injury. 

Goedert has already missed some time this season. During his Week 6 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, he injured his hamstring and did not return to the game. Dallas didn’t return to the Eagles until Week 11 when he played against the Dallas Cowboys. 

In the meantime, during his absence, the Eagles have signed tight end E.J. Jenkins from the practice squad to move him to the active roster. In the meantime, Grant Calterra will be the starting tight end, leaving Jack Stoll to back him up.

At this time, the Eagles are hopeful that Goedert will return and be healthy in time for the playoffs. If the Eagles clinch a spot in the postseason (which very possibly happens), Goedert can return early enough for the Wild Card round.
