Furtermore, I really tried my best to portrait Dalim and Harr as they are and I really hope I grasped Dalim’s personality even slightly correct. As for Harr, it has been some time since I played his route so I don’t remember anything other than him being a shy, adorable, protective, blushy mess. 🥺💖

I tried to do my research today during my math class at 8am so let’s just say that was ✨fun!✨

Spoilers: Some major spoilers for Harr’s route, I suggest you read it before you read this because his route is amazing and Harr is adorable.

Dalim

Dalim and you met in his bar few months back. He was his flirty self as usual until you told him you are in a hurry and need a coffee to go before you’re late to your new job. Your dedication to your work piqued his interest, after all with your beauty you could easily have any man.

But you, Princess, decided that you don’t need saving and that you’ll work with the dragon that was watching your tower that you were supposed to be locked in.

Eventually, you gave into his courting and you two started dating. Only, he kept his secret identity as Amon’s right-hand man to himself for now and you kept yours.

You were working hard and proving yourself despite all the hardships you experienced as a woman working as a magic disciple. Not many ladies wanted to fight and work hard to earn the respect of others, but you’re strong willed and you did it.

When you finally proved to Lord Amon himself, you earned a promotion and Dalim’s interest. After all, a woman was possibly trying to take his job, becoming Amon’s left-hand woman.

The right-hand man approached you, asking you to follow him so he can show you your duties at such a high rank of duty. He took you to one of the more secret rooms and took off his hood, revealing his identity to you.

Your breath hitched in your throat as you realized it was your boyfriend Dalim, the barkeeper. How was this possible? You were trying so hard to process this new information, deep in your thought. You were glad the hood covered your eyes so he couldn’t see the panic arising in them

You were however rudely pulled back to reality when Dalim cleared his throat and soon you had seen his hand in front of you. It was a polite gesture to introduce himself, his trademark smile apparent on his lips.

You were reluctant at first, but after a few seconds you shook his hand.

“Dalim, but please feel free to call me ‘Dum’, Princess.” You didn’t answer, instead you pulled back your hood and you could see his mouth opening and closing in disbelief, surprise evident on his face.

He didn’t know what to think for a few seconds.

Magic tower wasn’t really the most honest civil agency ever and he knew how dirty things could get.

He was torn between being protective of you and making you quit before you get hurt and being supportive of you. After all you proved yourself even before Amon, earning the place of his left hand.

But one thing’s for sure.

This man has fallen even harder for you now.

Not only could he be his real self with you, but he also saw who your really were. And he must admit that he found your strong will extremely hot  appealing.

Be sure that he will always have your back when the other guys start doubting you, making sure they pay.

“Y/n?” He stared at you for a few seconds as you averted your gaze, you were scared of how he would react. What if he didn’t want you to be his girlfriend anymore because you work at the same place? Or what if he didn’t want to tell you of his other identity in this way? “But how didn’t I notice before?”

“To be honest, these hoods really do good job of hiding our faces” you tried to make this situation a bit lighter by stating facts in an arrogant way, acting like you know it all by placing one hand on your hips and rolling your eyes.

“I honestly didn’t think you could be any more attractive to me Princess.” His comment made you flustered and you focused on the floor in front of you until you felt his fingers under your chin, tilting it upwards so you were looking him in the eyes. He slowly placed a gentle, lingering kiss full of emotions on your lips.

“Your determination really is hot, I‘m proud of you” he would say with a smile on his lips and you would find yourself returning it, feeling happy that you two finally came clean to one another.

He really is proud of you. He knew all along that you were special and he is so proud to call such a hard-working lady his Princess.

Harr

You and Harr accidentally met one day in the Forbidden Forest when you were going on a walk and got lost, finding yourself staring at his back as he was fishing with Loki at the Lake of Tears. The two of them turned around, ready to stood their ground when they realized it was just some lost girl.

Loki first had the pleasure of meeting you as he immediately took an interest at such a cute young lady you were. But you weren’t interested in the young man that was extending his hand to you. Instead, you were pulled to the mysterious man that refused to even look you in the eye, half of his face hidden by a mask with intricate design.

So, you made sure to introduce yourself to him and try to make small talk to him, but his shyness made it seem like he was really cold to you.

Despite that, your stubbornness made you visit the Lake of Tears and Forbidden Forest more and more in the next few months.

After all, Harr had opened up to you bit by bit and you learned he was the so-called Joker that was planning on overthrowing Amon from his position as the leader of the Magic Tower.

He pushed you away in case he didn’t get back, but you knew he had feelings for you just like you had for him.

So, when he did take over Amon’s place and started making some progress, changing the Magic Tower to finally be the civil agency the Cradle deserved, you knew you wanted to be at his side to help him make his dream come true.

One day your acquaintance Dalim came to your door, telling you of how Harr has returned and how he was now in charge. He even managed to make you join them both in making this place a better place. So, you arranged to meet him in front of the tower one morning so you could start working there.

You and Dalim walked up the floating stairs, your head held high as you felt a fuzzy feeling in your chest. You were doing this for the man you love so he can help the whole country, he was a hero now and you were proud of him, being there for him very step of the way so far. It was only logical to continue giving him your full support.

He however was absent for a few days, having to go around the whole country without using his own magic so he could recover. That’s why you two haven’t seen each other for more than a week now. But still you put on the hood and started working from the lowest rank, which made other disciples there that were mostly men doubt and disrespect you. But you weren’t the one to quit and you quickly started to earn everyone’s respect when they saw your dedication and will.

Harr had meanwhile returned and he wasn’t aware of your new job. So, when you ran up to him and enveloped him in a bone crushing embrace, you could feel him stiffen under you, but you didn’t get to see how his eyes widened with pure shook and disbelief as your hood fell back from your head, revealing your face and top of your head.

In an instant heat spread across Harr’s cheek and a warm, fuzzy feeling of affection bloomed in his chest, he wrapped his arms around you only for a moment before he pulled you back to look you in the eyes.

“Surprised Harr?” a male voice echoed behind you and you turned your head only too see Dalim staring directly into eyes of man that was once his underling.

“What did you do this time Dalim?” Harr asked with a serious tone, earning a small chuckle from the barkeeper.

“I only helped your Princess settle around here and start working.”

“What? Y/n you’re a magic disciple?” Harr’s eyes widened; surprise written all over his handsome facial features.

“Yes. I wanted to help you make Magic Tower an honest civil agency and what’s better way to do that then to start working and researching magic properly?”

This wizard is really taken aback by your declaration.

He cared for you deeply and he was extremely happy that you wanted to support him in any way you can, no matter the difficulties you may occur while doing so.

He knew you were a strong woman, and you just proved it to him even more when you decided to work hard to earn your place and respect of others and prove everyone who was doubting you wrong.

He just smiled and pulled you into a tight embrace which you gladly returned. Dalim took that as a cue to leave you two lovebirds alone.

“Thank you, y/n,” he whispered as he placed a soft kiss on top of your head. “It really means a lot to me to have your support.”

His sincere voice filled with affection made your heart flutter and your legs feel like jelly.

“Of course, you will always have my support Harr” you pulled back to gaze into his grey eyes, not even paying attention to his scar. “I love you Harr.”

He got flustered a bit, but he slowly leaned in to kiss you gently on the lips and you met him halfway. “I love you too y/n,” he whispered to you as he pulled away, quickly leaning back in to kiss you again a bit harder this time, expressing all his love in it.

You can be sure that this man is supportive as heck and really proud to have such strong s/o by his side.

And he really does love you, only he just now realized that his love for apricots isn’t even nearly as strong as his love for you.

Hate to break it too you but unless you're immortal being Blancs childhood friend probably means you're dead. Blancs been around for possibly hundreds of years and the oldest age a human has ever lived is 122 years and even then you probably had to be the most healthy and athletic person in the entire world.

If you wanna go the angst route, Blanc visits your grave every year leaving flowers and other gifts. You were one of it not the only person close too him that he could never forget. All throughout his first years of life you were there, holding his hand and being there for him and as much as he wishes you were immortal to he wouldn't want the burden of immortality to be shoved onto you and hopes your soul is resting well.

If you wanna go the fluff route and say you're immortal too, you two 100 percent live with eachother. You're most likely also apart of the groups and jobs working in the civic center. most likely also a record keeper like Blanc.

Oliver Knight

Being Oliver's childhood friend means you're probably from the land of the reason and until the events of his route where Alice tells Oliver's father Oliver is still alive you probably though he might be dead due to how long he's been missing but for the sake of these hcs let's just say you fell into cradle along with Oliver.

Pov: waking up unconscious next to a child version of your best friend after getting knocked out by men with cloaks.

You're the only person in the world he'd probably let mess or tinker with his inventions and help him make them if you're capable of doing so. You two could spend all day working together on inventions if you weren't humans with human needs.

Loki Genetta

You and Loki were probably very close before he got taken by the magic tower and basically disappeared from the rest of the world. It was only until years later when you both were adults when you both finally saw eachother again. A very tearful reunion ensues with a ton and i mean a ton of hugging. Don't expect Loki to let go of you for a very long time. Will 100 percent beg Harr to let you live with them after trying to convince you which may or may not work. Merchant buddies, Loki probably teaches you a ton of stuff about the market and stocks and other stuff if that's stuff you're interested in.

Pov: Befriending the quiet kid at school

Harr has never been the best with words but you help him slightly get out of his awkwardness.

For awhile also you were probably close with Sirius and Lancelot during their high school days.

100 percent wants you to move in with him and Loki but is too nervous and awkward to bring it up thinking you'd probably be better off just living by yourself but if you don't mind and somehow get him to admit he wants to live with you and Loki he will be really happy if you do move in.

Mousse Atlas

Since Mousse is a member of the Atlas family in order to be his childhood friend you'd probably also have to be of high status in red territory as a descendant of a noble family.

Noble or not though Mousse could care less, you're still the person who encouraged him throughout his childhood and is still here too encourage him now.

Will be straight forward and ask you if you want to cuddle and take naps together.

If you can, he'd be really glad if you could help him out with some of his diplomatic affairs and would even ask you if you wanted to become a diplomat like him.

Dalim Tweedle

Being childhood friends with the bartender means one thing, sometimes free drinks. Don't get use to it though, he's not gonna let you off the hook all the time.

Will hide the fact he's a magic disciple from you with his life, he doesn't want you to hate him. The one person who has been there for him for almost all of his existence. He doesn't want to lose you.

Still very flirty but tones it down slightly compared to how he flirts with others but will flirt with you just to make you blush and embarrass you.

Dean Tweedle

Basically unlimited access to academy/school grounds if you aren't already a teacher. You can just walk in and go into the library and start reading and literally no one will care because of how much Dean speaks of you. His students can literally recognize you so fast.

It's not uncommon for you to help him grade and organize papers for lessons. You helping him takes a lot of time off his break that he has to spend grading and not relaxing.

You two will spend lunch breaks together talking and eating together and just hanging out.

In those moments where he feels incomplete or randomly gets sick on his birthday every year you're always there by his side. Helping him through all of it and he couldn't be less grateful for it and will try and make it up too you in anyway.

A/N: I couldn’t get this AU out of my head after I wrote my last vampire fic! Below you will find a HC for all the suitors and then some. Lore is down at the bottom with a list of traits and weaknesses. Let me know what you think! I will be doing more with this HC soon so stay tuned!

Neutrals:

Oliver Knight is human during the day (always an adult) and a vampire during the night. He makes an amber synthetic ether potion and sells it. He also works with humans and makes weapons to protect them from the Vampires. Never killing them, only incapacitating them until the humans can get away safely. Got turned into a vampire by accident after an experiment with vampire blood and magic went horribly wrong.       

Harr Silver also makes ether, but he gives his away to Loki to sell. His ether is from naturally grown plants out in the forbidden forest. He specializes in clear ether and pink, (the aphrodisiac)  to everyone's surprise. Harr hates that he became a vampire, making him bolder when he is hungry due to his survival instinct. He has a bit of self-loathing going on. His magic seems to be gone, but it's replaced with superhuman abilities he prefers. Still teaches Loki magic.

Loki Genetta is a vampire-human mix. He was born to a father that was a vampire and a human mother. He’s able to use magic since he is part human. Sells Harr’s ether during the day since the sun only gives him a bit of a sunburn. He wears his hood to hide his skin. His vampire family shunned Loki for being a halfling, ignored by his human family for being a ‘monster,’ and picked up by ancient vampires at the magic tower for his unique abilities.

Blanc Lapin is an ancient vampire, yet neutral. He's been around longer than anyone can count. Used to use his hypnotic stare to sway women to let him feed on them for many years. Now he's tired of that and refined to just asking nicely since vampires are more common. He drinks the ether that's meant for the humans, and no one can figure out why.

Black Army:

Ray Blackwell is a vampire that fails to feed regularly. His friends were worried until they realized it was his own way of curbing his superhuman abilities. He's able to control his hunger, even when he's beyond thirst, to slow down his body's capabilities. This makes him feel less like a monster and can focus on his tasks as King. Wants to be sympathetic to the humans in this regard. Has lots of willing women from the territory to feed on if he ever needs it.

Sirius Oswald exhibits signs of being a vampire. Sharp teeth, superhuman strength, pale skin, immortality, drinks blood. Yet, he can walk in the sun just fine. He seems to know more than he's letting on, but everyone is curious why he’s so different. Disappears often but always gets his job done beforehand.   

Luka Clemence was born into an old vampire family. All of the members have vampirism. He watched his brother go through brutal training to be in control of his thirst, but Luka was given free roam. Since he was the second born and not designated to titles, they allowed him to feed on whoever he liked. Play dates as a child ended badly due to his unending thirst, but he didn’t understand how horrible it was until he was older. After understanding how brutal he was as a child, he taught himself how to hold back, and prides himself on his self taught strength.

Seth Hyde holds it together pretty well until he’s hungry. Seth is always happy go lucky and keeps up a front that everything is fine. Deep down he's deeply disturbed by what he's become and is disgusted with himself. Yet, his instincts take over, and his mind switches into survival mode to feed. He hides his past from everyone but somehow knows random facts about the ancient vampires that the public doesn’t know, catching everyone off guard. 

Fenrir Godspeed has a particularly rabid form of vampirism. He goes to Oliver for a potion that settles him down. Forgetting to take it, he will fly off in a blind feed. He has the capability of killing an entire village in a matter of seconds before his mind gains control of his consciousness again. Keeps this extra potion on him at all times.

Red Army:

Lancelot Kingsley is an old old vampire, but not as old as Blanc. He’s also able to use magic to everyone's surprise. He can only become magical when he’s fed recently. He keeps a vile of his lovers (or someone's) blood with him at all times just in case. He feeds frequently, indulges really, to make sure he's the strongest he can be at all times. His father and mother were part of the ancient vampire race.

Jonah Clemence was born into an old vampire family. As the first born, he was raised with the families customs. He didn’t have his first feed from a live human until he was well into his life and ever since he has a hard time stopping. His family thought it would help him control his urges, but he became somewhat impulsive and indulgent because of this. Many people died at his hand due to his inability to stop. He’s been put on synthetic plasma and not allowed to drink from a person by the King's orders.    

Edgar Bright freely indulges in vials of blood he creates regularly. Its looked down upon by the other officers, making him look weak and unable to wait until feeding time but he doesn't seem to care what they think. He enjoys the blood of someone after they’ve eaten their fair share of cake and candies. The sweet taste of their blood is more of a treat than a necessity to feed. He can’t help that he's a sweet tooth. He feeds more than Lancelot does without anyone realizing it and happens to be the strongest out of the whole red army because of it.  

Kyle Ash is a newly turned vampire. He tries to take patients regularly but finds himself hypnotizing them with his stare to allow him to feed on them willingly. Uses his healing tongue more than he would like to. Kyle wants to help people, but his need to feed tends to be stronger than his morals. He also scared off his last lover by going too far. He drank so much of her blood she passed out for a couple of days making Kyle distraught. Once she came to and recovered, she left him and moved out of the cradle entirely. He feels guilty and goes out with Oliver and Blanc at night to drink away his gloomy feelings.

Zero has no memory of his past other than about five years back. He’s a vampire, but he has no idea how long he's been like this, where he came from, or who his family is. He has impressive control when it comes to feeding and knows when to stop. Zero hides a symbol on his neck that looks similar to what a breed of ancient vampires uses to mark their clan.

Other Citizens:

Amon Jabberwock is from an old order of vampire, the ancients. He was turned when he was only eight years old. He appears to look 19 now even though he's centuries old by now. He wants to subjugate the humans, making them into thralls for his ultimate purpose of making his clan the most powerful group of vampires in history.

Dean Tweedle was a professor when one of his favorite students became a vampire and joined the red army. Later, the student came back to ‘thank’ him by changing Dean into a vampire. He was distraught after he accidentally killed someone, and sought help from his brother only to find he was jealous of his humanity.

Dalim Tweedle was changed into a vampire by his twin brother without his consent. He’s angry at Dean and refuses to speak to him for the rest of their many many years. He also prefers to never drink from the same person twice. The ether you give humans can become addictive, due to is pleasurable feeling and can connect the vampire and human over time. He doesn’t want to get too attached to anyone as long as he’s a monster. 

Mousse Atlas pretends to be human in front of Alice. He denies all connection to vampires and firmly believes he will find a cure one day on his travels. He spends a lot of his time mapping out places with lore that have a vampirism cure. However, when his thirst grows too much, he hypnotizes someone to forget his face while he drinks from them.

Vampire traits:

Immortal(ish): They have a very long lifespan, but it does come to an end eventually. They do age, but it's very slow.

Fast: Can run at high speeds, or move so fast it appears as an instant to the human eye.

Superhuman strength: Depending on human ability their vampire traits are multiplied by that. (i.e., if someone was capable of amazing feats as a human they will be a stronger vampire.)

Appearance: Skin becomes duller than their human tone, sometimes pale looking. Their eyes gain a sort of filament at the back of their eye that is reflective. This helps them see in the dark. Nails become as strong as diamonds. Their skin is impenetrable by any known substance, even another vampire's nails/claws.

Hypnotic Stare: They can persuade people to do things for them/think a certain way by putting them in a hypnotic state.

Healing Tongue: Their saliva can heal humans wounds within seconds.

Humanity: They hold their humanity still, yet it's hard when their thirst becomes strong.

Food: Feeds on the blood of living things or synthetic plasma.  

Enthralling: Vampire thralls are made by over hypnotizing someone after they’ve been drained of blood. The vampire bites them over and over telling them to obey their every command. This technique can be used for many things, but a thrall is a typical outcome. The human is broken and is at the whim of their sired master.

Weakness’: Vampires can't use the cradle magic since they became the magical creature themselves. (Typically) Sunlight: Five seconds will burn their skin, but up to 30 seconds would kill them. Fire: Burns them to a crisp they can’t recover from. Not eating: If they don’t feed, they will grow too weak to hunt and eventually wither away.  

Ether: This is a potion that humans take to feel no pain. The pain is replaced with either numbness, warmth, or pleasure depending on the color of ether you drink. Clear is numbness, amber is warmth, and pink colored is pleasure. Vampires in the cradle use this on the ones they wish not to harm.

Lore: Most vampires are used for the armies since they are the strongest. Humans and vampires coexist in the Cradle to an extent. The main argument between the Red and Black armies is a moral one. The Red army believes everyone should be turned into a vampire, since they are stronger, and serve their army to grow it. They want to turn anyone loyal to the red army into a vampire while locking up others who are not. 

The Black army intends to prevent the turning of humans so that humanity can thrive. They actively chose never to turn anyone unless it is a dire situation or everyone has voted on and agreed to. The humans still have a choice in both territories thanks to the actions of the black army and their efforts with the government to create laws for both vampires and humans.  

To turn into a vampire, you must drink one's blood and allow the poisonous blood to kill you or die by any means. Either way, vampire blood will kill a human slowly.
