the last episode of djats literally shattered my heart into a million tiny pieces. in the end it’s so easy to understand daisy’s side and camila’s side and even billy’s side because they have become so real to us. daisy wanted someone who saw her and loved her for who she really was without hurting her, someone who loved her AND respected her; camila wanted the best for the people she loved and what was hers, rightfully so, without never giving up on who she loves or herself; billy wanted the stability and trust camila offered him, she was his and he was hers and he never wanted to let her down — but his mistakes became his nightmares instead of something he could learn from. he just couldn’t face them and therefore couldn’t let camila see the entirety of who he was — despite his efforts, she saw him the whole time: you just don’t move away and start an entire life with someone whose faults you don’t know. and because they had the same bruises and passions, billy thought daisy really saw him, which she did, but because of that he thought he could do anything to her and then just leave it. he hurt both of them time and time again in different ways. camila was his choice, though, every single time. even after falling in love with daisy, he went back to her. and he’s completely fucking cruel for doing what he did to both of them, but he was also cruel to himself. and camila didn’t run after him, she stuck around until she realized he would only let daisy go if she left. then daisy let him go because she understood they would drown each other — and because camila made sure daisy knew she was worth saving and having a family despite her past. he loved both of them, but camila was the love of his life and daisy was his soulmate. this isn’t just any love triangle this is THE love triangle.
