While several schools in Kashmir have already shut at least 300-400 schools are on the verge of financial collapse. “Due to the successive lockdowns in the Kashmir valley since 2019, many schools find it difficult to sustain. There were huge job losses in the private sector and among the daily wager class, owing to the months-long curfew followed by the pandemic. Only 30 per cent fee has been received the schools. Almost 300-400 schools are on the brink of the shutdown”, GN Var, President of the Private Schools Association, J&K said.

Aventurine's reign of terror on Primavera ended after his 8th victory.
After that, he no longer showed up daily, but instead two or thrice a week, usually on the weekend—probably to the staff’s relief.
Since Aventurine had become somewhat of a local sensation, this change threw many into confusion, and many rumors began circulating.
Some said that he was just bored, while others believed that there was something deeper going on behind the scenes. Word went around that someone threatened to expose him for foul play, or that he was almost robbed on the way home.
Despite being there to witness his 8th victory, you couldn’t say much because you dashed home after trying wagyu steak for the first time in your entire life.
In your defense, you were afraid that Aventurine would withdraw the offer after seeing everyone dining literally like kings.
Ah, weeks later, I can still taste the tenderness of the meat and the sweet savory sauce...
But honestly, work probably just got busy or something, considering he worked at such a high-profile company.
Personally, the weekends were literally your only days off, so no complaints there.
...No, if anything, you were immensely grateful to him!
🂡 🂠 🂣 🂠
“—I’m late!!”
You were running with all your might.
Before anything else, no, you weren’t running late to work. In fact, you just got off one.
That day was Saturday, so there was no class. Even during the weekend, sometimes you had a shift to cover, and today was the example.
Growl.
You hadn’t had dinner yet, so your stomach was rumbling. You'd also be lying if you said you weren't tired. However, you were smiling from ear to ear.
As for where you were headed to, it was none other than the fanciest nightclub that countryside town had to offer. Yes, Primavera.
The nightclub's dazzling entrance stood before you. Neon lights in vibrant hues of pink, blue, and green illuminated the facade, casting a pulsating glow onto the surrounding pavement. The door itself was flanked by towering LED screens displaying animated graphics and the club's logo. A velvet rope, guarded by impeccably dressed bouncers, marked the entrance, while a red carpet invited guests to step into the glamorous world beyond.
You casually strode inside, making your way through the flashy hallway. The walls were adorned with large, abstract artworks bathed in soft, ambient lighting that shifted subtly in color, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. Mirrored panels lined one side of the hallway, reflecting glimpses of the stylishly dressed patrons passing by.
It didn’t take long for you to find the main dance floor.
Including the first time your friends invited you out, it was the fifth time you had been there this month.
And no, it wasn’t because you were suddenly promoted to a CEO or something.
Upon arriving, you immediately shot a glance at the bar section of the venue.
“Nice! I made it in time!”
As usual, the smoking hot blond gambler was playing poker against his opponent at the table reserved for them, surrounded by a large crowd. From the looks of it, the game had been going on for some time.
Aventurine was probably smiling as usual. As for his opponent, you really couldn’t make out his expression from here, but your condolences.
Having made sure that you hadn’t missed the highlight of that night, you went to look for a staff member.
Despite the flashing lights, you could easily find them due to their fancy uniforms. A few were standing nearby with polite smiles etched to their faces.
"The menu, please!" You asked like you owned the place.
When they heard that, their expressions twitched, but you pretended not to notice. None of them moved, though. Did they not hear you or something?
Just as you were about to repeat your order, something slid in front of you. A sleek, large book bound in black leather. It was the menu.
You turned around and saw a bluish-haired young man holding out the menu to you.
This guy...!
When you saw his face, you had to do a double take.
Generally speaking, the youth was good-looking. He was lean and slender, without any excess weight anywhere. His posture was firm and elegant, while each of his movement was graceful. His slicked-back hair, coupled with the tuxedo, made him look like a real-life European butler. As a side note, he was short.
What’s with those dead fish eyes...!?
Yes, the first thing that caught your eyes was his hollow, bleak gaze. It reminded you of the saying, “If you stare at the abyss, the abyss stares back.”
But soon, you were also reminded that it was rude to stare.
“T-thanks.”
You were about to receive the menu when the butler(?) suddenly retracted his hand.
What?
You looked up at him again, feeling both confused and shocked.
You were stunned by what you saw—the butler(?) was outright scowling at you! Not to mention, it was a look of pure contempt and disdain!
What the hell is that about?!
Then, as if it was just a lie, he reverted back to his expressionless face.
As you were reeling from what had just happened, you heard him say in the most fed-up tone.
“...It’s you.”
“Excuse me??”
You tried to reach for the menu again, but the butler(?) swiftly evaded your hand. It happened twice, and then thrice, so it sure as hell ain’t a coincidence. He was pissing you off.
What’s with this guy?!
Thus, your battle with the annoying butler(?) began.
“Is this how you treat a customer?! Shame on you! This is coming from someone who also works in the service industry!”
In the middle of the fight, you tried to assert your customer rights. You had managed to grab a hold of the menu and was trying to seize it from him.
In response, the butler(?) scoffed. "Ha. A customer would pay for their order. Do that, and I’ll release this.”
“As far as I recall, all of my meals have been paid!” You shot back in retaliation.
Technically, they were—just not out of your own pocket.
The butler(?) smirked. "Uh-huh. Are you banking on that gambler winning and treating everyone again?"
He took advantage of the timing to pull the menu so hard, you almost toppled over, but you held on.
Damn! This guy is so slim! Where does all this strength come from?!
You used a low and wide stance for better stability, and grip the menu firmly with both hands!
“Well, it’s happened the last four times, so what’s stopping him from doing just that this time!?”
Slow and steady were the keys; you managed to pull back the menu inch by inch.
Amidst the altercation, his colleagues entered your vision. They still didn’t budge.
Are you just going to pretend nothing happened? Okay then.
“Who knows? I heard that his opponent is especially tough tonight. A top global poker player.”
“Yes, but I’m sure he’ll win anyway!”
“Then have the decency to place your order when he actually does!”
“Does it matter?! Either way, I’m getting my food!”
“Of course it does! Who would be so shameless as to order without any intention of paying?! Even daring to ask for the menu in advance! The sheer audacity!”
After enjoying a lavish meal totally free of charge four times, dare you say that you had gotten a bit... bolder? With Aventurine around, even a beggar could be a chooser!
Then, as you engaged in a tug-of-war with the butler(?) over the menu, the crowd that had filled the room all the way to the entrance suddenly erupted in cheers.
“As expected of Aventurine!!”
“Aventurine, you’re so amazing!!”
"Yes! Yes! Yes!"
"Victory!"
"We love you Aventurine!”
"Our champion!"
"Well done!"
"Incredible!"
—Followed by a cheerful, carefree voice as if the owner hadn’t just won millions by just sitting around and twirling cards.
“Well, well, I see that everyone is as lively as ever. As always, I really appreciate it. The tab’s on me!”
Even louder cheers ensued, and at the same time, you realized that the menu had eased into your hands. However, the butler(?) hadn’t completely let go.
You turned to look at him and shot him the nastiest grin you could muster.
“Heh.”
The butler(?) still wouldn’t let go! Also, that disdainful scowl was back! It was on full display this time!
How persistent!
Just as you were prepared to start round two of tug of war, a much friendlier, yet hesitant voice could be heard.
“C’mon now, Marius. That’s not how you should treat a customer.”
Damn right!
After frequenting this place, you’d become quite familiar to some of the staff and patrons, so you recognized the voice right away.
“Bartender!” You turned around with glee.
An older man with wavy ginger hair tied in a ponytail had come over. He was clad in a classy business vest and pure white shirt. In his hands was a tray with an iced colorful beverage.
He was Teo, the one and only bartender of Primavera!
Yes, the same guy who stopped you from bringing their cocktail glass home the first time you went here!
On top of that, he was also good-looking!
However, a voice much colder than the icy drink the bartender was carrying interrupted your reunion.
“I see it as nipping the problem in the bud. You’ll be thanking me later when you have one less entitled beggar to deal with.”
“Excuse me?!?!”
Keep in mind that you and the butler(?), Marius, were still in the middle of a tug of war.
In response, Teo smiled as if troubled. “You’re being too harsh. Besides, we’re the ones who advertised free meals if Aventurine wins the game. Doing so and not making good on our words would be false advertising.”
Teo seemed accustomed to Marius' antics and coaxed him like an older brother, with patience as vast as the ocean.
“Tsk. Emphasize on the word ‘if.’”
At last, Marius relented. Finally, the menu was yours!
Marius was about to turn on his heels and leave, but not before shooting you one last menacing glance.
“Let’s see how long his luck will last, shall we?” He scoffed; his lips twisting into a sardonic grin.
He left with those words.
All right, that’s it—!
You’ve had enough!
“I want to speak to the manager!”
You demanded Teo, who stood there looking uneasy.
Then, he awkwardly replied.
“You... kind of already did, just now.”
🂥 🂠 🂧 🂠
You stood in front of the bar, placing an order for your meal. After waiting in the queue, your turn finally arrived. By the way, Aventurine was nowhere to be seen.
The one who took it was, of course, Teo.
“—Cheer up. You were about to order this, yes? I especially prepared it for you.”
During this hard time, only Teo and his angelic smile were there to nurse your bruised ego. Compared to that guy from earlier, Marius, the difference was like heaven and hell.
You stared at the tray he was carrying earlier.
Whenever you went to Primavera, you’d make sure to order different food, but your drink would remain the same no matter what.
“Here, a glass of ‘Lazuli Bells.’”
A vibrantly-colored drink consisting of three layers. The purple upper layer was a concoction made of grape punch and some flower extract. The second layer, which was cyan-colored, was made of fizzy bubblegum soda. The third layer, the thickest and darkest one, was pure blueberry syrup. The sweet and floral fragrance blended well with the refreshing fruity flavor.
There was no alcohol content because Teo had tweaked it for you, who were a light drinker. Now, you can enjoy it without worry. How thoughtful and considerate of him.
“Thank you. You don’t have to do this, really.”
You shyly received the drink from him. The vibrant green mint leaf bobbled on top as you did so.
Teo smiled earnestly. “On top of increasing the flower extract, I also added a dash of raspberry and a spoonful of honey to the grape punch this time. Do let me know your thoughts!”
“I’ll be sure to!”
That was the least you could do. The guy seemed to sincerely enjoy his work.
You took the glass of drink to your usual spot.
🂡 🂠 🂣 🂠
Previously, you mentioned that after your frequent visit, you had become acquainted with the staff and patrons of Primavera.
In reality, there were only two of them. One staff, and one patron. No, of course Marius wasn’t included. The staff being Teo, as for the patron...
Your usual spot was located at the farthest corner of the bar section. After the Aventurine fever, everyone was scrambling to get a front seat to witness the star of the night. Hence, it could be said to be the worst seat ever.
At the very least, you weren’t alone.
At your usual spot, sat a girl wearing a hooded, hand-knitted poncho. The entirety of her outfit had a neutral color palette, blending in with the crowd. Due to how the hood was drawn to her face, only a glimpse of her navy-blue hair could be seen from time to time.
From the moment you first laid eyes on her, you could feel a spirit of camaraderie.
—Ah, this girl also doesn’t want to stand out like I am!
You were the somewhat introverted and quiet girl at the class. Usually, you’d spend your weekend playing games at your dorm. As such, you didn’t want anybody to notice that you went there instead, all by yourself.
“Hey!”
You called out, and the girl turned to you.
The face underneath the hood was, to put it simply, so f*cking gorgeous! So much so that you still gasped whenever you saw her to this day.
A pair of round sapphire eyes. A fine, delicate nose bridge. Tiny, doll-like lips.
When she saw you, she smiled.
Once again, you were reminded of what it meant “to light up the room.”
—Damn! Be still, my rapidly beating heart!
You had to clutch your chest.
Staring into her eyes was akin to stargazing. Whenever she smiled, it felt like witnessing the radiant night sky, lit by a multitude of stars across the universe.
How can someone this beautiful exist!?
It shouldn’t be strange for a place as elite as Primavera to be filled with gorgeous-looking people, yet you still couldn’t get used to it.
“...I thought you’d never come. O-oh! I mean nothing by that. I’ve just been waiting, that's all, no offense...”
The girl panicked, covering her mouth with both hands. Even her gesture had a languorous beauty to it.
“None taken, Celine.”
You reassured the panicking girl and took a seat next to her. Soon, you noticed the thing on top of her lap.
“Another embroidery?” “—Lazuli Bells?”
Apparently, Celine also noticed the drink you were holding.
The two of you had always sat together since you first met her during your second visit. And like you said, you always ordered the same drink. So, it would make sense for Celine to recognize it.
At a glance, it looked like an average multicolored drink that any restaurant would serve, though. You didn’t remember ever mentioning the name to her.
“Yes, that’s right! Does Celine know this as well? I heard that it’s infused with Primavera’s home-grown special flower! If I recall correctly, the name is—”
“—Lazurite. I can smell it from here... It’s subtle, with a faint hint of sweetness that isn’t too overpowering...”
Celine had a serene look on her face, as if she was reminiscing about her fondest memories. She lowered her gaze, her long eyelashes fluttering like a pair of butterfly wings, and brushed aside a lock of hair that fell to her face.
Once again, you had to clutch your chest.
“La-lazurite, yes, sounds like an ore, doesn’t it?”
Celine chuckled at your comment. It didn’t seem to be her first time hearing it.
“Hehe, actually...” She showed you the embroidery hoop, which was about the size of her palm. “You’ll know once you see the actual flower.”
“Wow! Celine, this is so amazing!”
Depicted in that pure white fabric was a stalk of azure flower in full bloom, surrounded by a bunch of bell-shaped buds, woven meticulously by hands. Calling it “azure” may not be precise, seeing as some petals were either blue or purple.
"The flower is purple during the day but partially turns blue at night, just like the twilight sky. The petals also reflect the light. Once, there was a vast field filled with only lazurite flowers. It was as if there were two starry skies—both in the sky and on the ground."
Hence, "lazurite"—the combination of "lazuli" and "meteorite." Flowers that blossomed and illuminated the entire field, making it seem like the starlit skies.
As Celine explained, you could tell that she was whisked away by the sweet memories of the flowers.
“That sounds really wonderful. I wish I could see them, too. Do they exist in this town?”
You asked because you only moved here for college.
Celine reverted to her usual subdued smile. In that particular moment, she seemed a bit sad, somehow.
"Sorry... I didn’t mean to raise your hopes, I mean, you can, but it definitely won’t be easy...”
“Huh? Why did something happen to them?”
“No, no... They just aren’t widely available anymore. Right now, on this entire planet, the flower can only be found in Primavera, probably...”
“HUH?!”
You were so shocked, you almost dropped your drink. Right, your drink. Your eyes slowly and abruptly landed on the multicolored drink in your hand.
What have you been putting into your mouth?!?!
Besides, Celine seemed to be fond of those flowers. Did that mean all these past weeks, right in front of her, you...
“S-sorry! I didn’t mean to surprise you...!” Celine was in panic mode again.
“Does that mean I’ve been drinking the world’s rarest flower?! Oh my god!!”
“No! Despite how it may sound, the flower isn’t rare or anything! Please, don’t let me spoil your drink!”
“I’ve been contributing to their extinction, Celine!!”
“Like I said, it isn’t like that—!”
After some back and forth, you found out that when she said "can only be found in Primavera," she meant they had a bunch of greenhouses filled with just lazurite flowers and had been tending to them religiously.
“Phew.”
After that had been resolved, you sat next to your friend, enjoying your drink.
“...Amazing. This drink never ceases to amaze me. It’s as if flowers are blooming in my mouth.”
Meanwhile, Celine was busy tending to her own “flowers.” On top of the blank white cloth confined within a plain wooden hoop, was a mirror to another realm. Like a magic wand, her needle made countless tiny, blue-purple blossoms grow in that meadow. Once she had envisioned her next piece, there was no talking to her for the next few minutes.
...Honestly, from the first time you saw her, you thought that a cozier, more relaxing place would suit her more. For example, a European-style café. But who were you to judge?
Besides, she did mention that she came from an old-fashioned family, so she seldom visited this kind of place.
As you savored your drink, you held up your glass towards the ceiling. The ice cubes clinked as the beads of condensation trickled to your hand.
Within your glass, the lights coming from the multitude of chandeliers seemed to dilute into one, swirling, expanding, undulating...
At the same time, the triple layers—purple, blue, and navy—grew sharper in color.
Before you knew the name and the lore behind it, you just thought that the drink looked nice.
You were enraptured by the colors, and before you knew it, you got lost in them.
Finally, it became your favorite color combination.
‘Lazuli Bells,’ huh...
After learning and seeing the embroidery of the flower, you could see what the multicolored drink was supposed to resemble.
Don’t get me wrong, the flower is nice and all, but...
“—Today is your lucky day!”
Today, Celine was the one who broke you out of your reverie. Usually, it was the other way around.
“...Sorry, did you say something?”
Celine seemed excited about something, so much so that her embroidery was left unattended.
"I forgot to mention this before, but tonight, Aventurine will be facing two opponents! Right now, he’s taking a small break, but you will see him again soon!”
“Huh?! S-so what...?!”
Your first response was to deny it.
“Hehe. I intended for it to be a surprise, but I can’t stand seeing you looking so sad.”
“Who’s sad?! I don’t know what you’re talking about!”
You weren’t sad. Not at all. In fact, happiness began to spread in your chest as you desperately feigned ignorance.
Then, as Celine giggled, the one and only man himself, Aventurine, entered your view.
For a second, your heart stopped beating.
Amidst the clamoring of crowds, the blond gambler made his way towards his designated spot.
For a second, you were disappointed that he stopped there, so far away from your usual spot.
Then, as he stood in front of his seat, Aventurine reached for his glossy top hat, adorned with a single peacock feather.
...Hat’s off.
After tracing the brim of his hat, Aventurine lightly removed it, letting it droop on his fingertips.
A single flap of his cloak.
Just as you predicted, he used his other hand to eloquently swish the tail of his coat.
Cross one leg.
Lastly, as he sat down, he placed one long leg on top of the other, leaning his arm against the premium couch.
Inwardly, you smiled in satisfaction. After watching him numerous times, you had that introductory gesture of his memorized.
Afterwards, Aventurine engaged in a conversation with his second opponent that night, paying no heed to anything else. From your seat, you could barely make out his profile, with the crowd and mass media swarming around.
...How strange.
The first time you saw him, he was right behind you, so much so that it took one simple greeting to direct his attention to you.
Yet, knowing that you would never be brave enough to take that one simple step, you could only swallow your bitterness.
Unconsciously, you held up your drink again, this time lower than before, around the same level as your face.
Reflected within that convex glass, the blond gambler seemed a bit bigger—an inch closer.
Then, instead of his reflection, you focused on the colorful layers of the drink.
Purple, blue, navy—each turning a deeper shade under the light, just like his eyes when he turned around to look at you the day you first met him.

Okay but hear me out- Indian American Reader x Bakugou??? With maybe an rock control quirk (+ metals bc we love a strong bb) but like I can imagine his shock when he realizes that someone can not only withstand his explosions with the metal she creates but someone with even more fucked up tastebuds with the amount of spicy food she eats on a daily basis??
“That all you got?” You call out, commanding rocks to rise from the earth as you shield yourself from his explosions.
“Shut your piehole, extra!” Bakugou roars, skidding to a stop at the end of the room, before launching himself back at you so fast you almost didn’t have time to react.
An explosion meets your shields, and in a second, he’s got you pinned down on the pavement, sweat dripping, knee against your leg and hand on your palm.
“Told you I could handle you, didn’t I?” He smirks devilishly, palms throbbing. He appreciates a good fight.
You don a matching grin, muscles tightening. “Not quite.”
His smile vanishes.
You wield the cement with practised motions, causing Bakugou to slam into the ground next to you.
Flipping him over, you exchange positions, you on top, and a very angry Bakugou beneath you.
“I win,” you whisper, a cocky smile curling on your face.
Bakugou attempts to use his explosions, only for you to reinforce the cement with metal.
He groans. “Dumb fuckin’ luck.”
“Look, it was funny the first time, but I’m calling a time-out on your insults.” You huff. “I won fair and square.”
“I pinned you first, smartass!”
“I neutralised you first, dumbfuck—”
Shoto takes a sip out of his protein shake. “Hey Bakugou. If you’re flirting, you’re doing a really bad job at it—”
“I’M GONNA FUCKING ASSASSINATE YOU ICYHOT.”
--
“This scares me,” Denki coughs. “Like, full-body ghost summoning kind of scary.”
Half of the class lies on the couch, utterly defeated by the hot sauce Denki had unknowingly made as a dipping sauce because he misread the bottle. You know, Bakugou’s exclusive Hot One’s Last Dab Sauce.
It had knocked the absolute wind out of strong contenders Kirishima and Ashido, and completely ruined Midoriya, who was still hiccuping and hacking away at the sink. Todoroki was passed out on the couch and Denki was half convince he was on his dying breath.
No, what scared him was you two freaks.
“Ha! What a bunch of wimps!” Bakugou cackles, lathering his fried chicken with the sauce and taking a good bite out of it. Bro didn’t look bothered in the slightest. In fact, Denki would wager the trigger-happy human landmine was enjoying the murderous sauce.
“This is really good,” You sigh, reaching for another fried chicken and dipping it entirely into the saucer. “Where’d you get it?”
Denki begs your fucking pardon?
“Should come over to my house, Ma makes the best spice,” Bakugou grins, eyes glinting as you chew on your drumstick innocently.
Your eyes light up. “Invitation accepted. Now move the damn dip over. We need more.”
“You both,” Denki wheezes. “Are demons. Menaces.”
“You’re just a pussy, Spark Plug.”
Denki would argue, but he doesn’t think his throat would cooperate.
Truly, a match made in heaven.
Or hell.

Hi do you know any space western ttrpgs? Preferably those that let me play aliens.
THEME: Space Westerns
Hello there! The following games can all be classified as Space Westerns, although I don’t think there are any with specific rules that provide different options according to your chosen alien species. However, I don’t think there’s anything that specifically excludes you from being able to play as an alien either.
Vultures, by Batts.
Vultures is a game that puts players in the position of bounty hunters in a post-mecha world, hunting down the rogue pilots and soldiers that refuse to turn in their license and submit to the new Space Mom mega hegemony. The universe and its people are shaped by Before, the war where massive war machines, sinister warminds, and the mechs that walked the stars, caused massive, planet-wide destruction and left the universe in a mess of mecha wreckage.
How long before you make a choice?
How long before you rebel?
This game functions on a simple, sturdy background. Roll d20 and try to get over 10. You build your character out of skills, a background, and develop them with relationships, each adding bonuses to your rolls.
Vultures combines an unforgiving authority with a light-hearted tone. Character have only 1 health and are under the constant watchful eye of Space Mother, but stepping in to help out a friend is always rewarded and players have the ability to gain Luck, which downgrades what could be potentially lethal harm. Your job is to hunt down those nasty rebels and deserters who keep getting in the way of total hegemony, which will take you across a galaxy dotted with the bones of the mechs that tore the galaxy apart. A Hegemony implies the governance over many entities, so there’s plausible argument for the inclusion of alien species, even if there’s no acknowledgement of them in the game text.
I cannot over-recommend the use Safety Tools for Vultures, as it can confront a lot of themes around war and authoritarianism, but once your table has achieved a common ground, it can tell a very compelling story.
Outlaw’s Gamble, by Mitchell Daily.
Go on daring adventures, brave the darkest corners of the Wide Open Sky, evade the Sheriffs, and break the Fundamental Laws of the Universe with reality-warping abilities.
In Outlaw's Gamble you play as Outlaws (it's in the name after all) who go far beyond breaking mortal laws and break the very laws of reality itself, seizing upon great power in the process. But wherever there are laws, there are those who enforce it. Using your powers can mean great gains but draws the attention of the Law itself and the Sheriffs that serve it: the River, the Mountain, the Canyon, the Desert, and the Grave.
Outlaw's Gamble is played with a deck of playing cards. Challenges can be resolved quickly with a high-card wins system or the stakes can be raised with wagers and poker hands. The poker-style way of resolving conflict is probably one of the most obvious nods to the space-western genre. If what you like about Westerns is the mythology of dangerous mavericks, beholden to no-one and always operating outside the law, you might want to check out this game.
WildSpace, by TheChaya.
Wildspace is a role-playing game in which players explore the galaxy, investigate ancient secrets, outwit enemies and get rich doing so.
Wildspace is an Old-School Renaissance-adjacent game about post-apocalyptic wild west-themed adventure in the far future. Take on the role of diverse characters in their journey for fame and fortune across the endless space frontier.
Your characters are built up of a number of different pieces: stats, specializations, known languages, and character class. The languages available here tell me that there is definitely alien species involved in this world - it’s just that your species doesn’t define what you can do. This is also a game with a heavy list of inventory, including special powers and tech. So if you like kit-bashing pieces together to make a unique character who’s just trying to make their way in this wild, wild galaxy, this might be the game for you.
Space Bounty Blues, by The Nerdy Paper Games of Rob Hebert.
A GM-less, planet-hopping, neo-noir RPG for 3-6 people inspired by the greatest sci-fi bounty hunter anime of all time.
It’s the turn of the 25th century, and humanity has spread throughout the Inner System, a network of colony clusters connected by Transit Gates that make faster-than-light space travel possible. Of course, anywhere people go, crime goes with ‘em. And when you can blow jurisdictions at the punch of a hyperdrive, The Man just can’t keep pace. That’s where bounty hunters like you and the rest of your crew come in, with a license to run down and arrest the System’s Most Wanted throughout all six colony clusters.
But remember: this ain’t some license to kill; you only get paid if you hand over a bounty that’s still breathing.
Space Bounty Blues has three traits: Hard, Sharp, and Smooth. You get +1 in one, -1 in another, and 0 in the last. Each character also gains an Edge and a Trouble: your Edge gives you +1 to all relevant rolls, while your Trouble is a problem you just can’t shake. Space Bounty Blues is GM-less, using an online generator (and your own brain) to generate plot details that the group will tackle together.
This game carries elements of inventory keeping, and characters collect scars that can take them out of the game, but you won’t find long lists of equipment or a map that you crawl across, conquering traps and minor obstacles. Finally, the spotlight is meant to move from one character to another, and while each player moves through their “solo”, the rest of the group play NPCs. If you’re looking for a game that guarantees your character will stand out, you might want to look at Space Bounty Blues.
Marine Ice Cattle Drive, by Evey Lockhart.
On a frozen planet, underneath a dim, pink sun, lumbering ice-cows dive and graze in beautiful lavender bays. Heavily bundled cowhands keep careful watch, counting the dangerous minutes until their meagre payday.
All the while rich assholes, who never get closer to the work than orbit, just get richer. The more cowhands that don't make it off the Ice Ball, well, the less the bosses have pay.
Marine Ice Cattle Drive is a 20 page, colorful zine, outlining a new Sphere and Adventure for Troika! the scifantasy ttrpg. Available in both a heavily illustrated .pdf format as well as epub!
Because this is an adventure designed for Troika, I can see this as being the most likely option that allows you to play some sort of alien - Troika is a game about multiverses and various different worlds (called spheres), so it makes perfect sense that your alien buckaroo is getting in on this dangerous, freezing space ranch adventure. While this is an adventure, not a stand-alone setting, you could probably take a lot of pieces from this sphere to make your own story.
Orbital Blues, by Soul Muppet Publishing.
This is the rock and roll future of yesteryear that never was—and nobody wanted. It is an intergalactic age of cowboys, outlaws and bandits playing on an interstellar stage. It is a time of hyper-capitalism and a cut-throat gig economy. Unreliable trash-heaps carry scrappy underdogs to their next gig, and corporation freighters lumber across the horizon laden with an empire’s bounty.
These are the music-fuelled, moon-age daydreams of a rebel space age. These are your ORBITAL BLUES.
ORBITAL BLUES is a lo-fi space western roleplaying game from SoulMuppet Publishing, written by Sam Sleney & Zachary Cox. A roleplaying love-letter to off-beat sci-fi, vintage music, and cooperative old-school styled roleplay, Orbital Blues allows you to play out rules-light tabletop adventures in the style of space westerns such as Cowboy Bebop, Firefly and Guardians of the Galaxy
Characters of Orbital Blues are centred about their personalities, their quirks, what they want and what they can do. There’s also a pretty palpable homage to Cowboy Bebop, similar to Space Bounty Blues. With most of these games, the feel of a space western has more to do with the people who make up a crew - and it emphasizes that your crew is a rag-tag bunch of misfits, unable to find a place in the honest economy of a larger galaxy. What Orbital Blues brings to the table is a critically-acclaimed system of Troubles - problems the characters struggle with that help each character define and explore a narrative arc. As a result, there’s also some fascinating third-party content that provides add-ons and adventures for your players. If you’re on the fence about this game, you can check out the Quickstart/Playtest, released by Soul Muppet for folks who want to try before they buy.
Additionally...
If you want more options, I also recommend checking out the submissions to the Space Western Summer Jam on Itch.io, from 2021!

The cultural difference between Intacia & the Coastal Empire (headcanons)
Was talking about fics with DeadMemeJack over on Discord, and fuck, she's seriously brilliant! The scenes and ideas she came up with always taught me something new. So for the sake of future fics, I thought it might be easier if I organised my thoughts and our headcanons here, so it's easy to use as a reference for worldbuilding.
So these are purely headcanons, and I'm gonna add new ideas here as we go along. Also as a heads up, my Baroness is an OC named Celica Anesidora. Just in case I accidentally wrote her name instead of 'Baroness'.
-
Values The High Society in the Coastal Empire is cutthroat. So the Imperial Nobles shield themselves behind feathery fans and barbed words. Mind games are bored Nobles' favourite pastime. Even the commoners tend to beat around the bush. In contrast, the Intacians pride themselves on their open body language, honesty and cutting through the bullshits (How Lilia did to Lord Reyes). Misunderstandings happened quite a lot during the earlier stages of Castin and his Baroness' marriage life. Even Rhett didn't escape this.
Daily practices and habits Each Imperial Noble Households practices 'Mithridatism - the art of gradually ingesting successively greater amounts of poison in order to build immunity'. Children as young as 11 years old are given poisoned candies with the dosage increases as they grow older. Commoners' children don't observe this practice, but they make quite a good pocket change if they harvest deadly plants and sell them at the market. The Baroness herself has developed a tolerance for Hemlocks and Nightshades; she continues this practice even after she's wedded (she usually consumed them with tea). Meanwhile, the Intacians have no such practice and actually considered it barbaric. He and the Baroness eventually come to an agreement that this is one culture that she won't be teaching their children.
Clothing & its' practicality The people of the Empire wear modest clothing - regardless of class. This is due to the weather, and for Nobles, especially the womenfolk, layered dresses and frills are convenient to hide daggers and knives. For the Southerners in Intacia, their articles of clothing are loose and revealing in order to combat the heat. Any weapons they are carrying are never concealed.
Methods for resolving conflicts In Imperial High Society, gamblings and dares are how Households resolve issues. While they would never resort to physical altercations, the parties would challenge each other to high-stakes gambles where they'd even wager their titles and lands (though those sorts of wagers require the presence of the Imperial Royal family to hand over the deeds and titles of the loser to the victor). Cheating and lying are encouraged during these gambles as long as there is no evidence that could be used against the gamblers. In contrast, the rowdy Intacians tend to resort to fists (in extreme cases) to get whatever issues out of their systems before they would talk it out.
-
That's it for now.
Oh! An additional headcanon for the Imperial Noble Households is that each of them alludes to either Greek myths like stories or figures. Case in point, Celica's Household bears the name 'Anesidora - sender of gifts' due to the fact that 'Baron/Baroness' is the lowest Noble title and her achievements are all about the betterment of the Empire and its people. Meanwhile, the highest noble title, 'Grand Duke/Grand Duchess', bears the Household name of 'Pandora'. They serve the Imperial Royal family very closely, and members of the Household are often married off to Royalty.

"I'm sure you're wondering what will become of you once I have what I want. Unfortunately, I can't exactly just let you walk out the door given everything you've seen. But, perhaps a compromise can be found. I do rather miss seeing you on the stage, after all."
Well. That certainly is surprising. When he paraded into her gilded cage, Serena had expected taunting of the variety she has grown used to. Hissed words of how her father thinks she is dead. How the world must not care about the beloved Hero of Kalos, if none have found her by now. Forced laughter spilling from a frozen, lopsided grin that, while genuine, she could never quite matching his eyes. So accustomed to routine, already had the heroine propped up both arms on the dresser and tented her hands-- all so a cheek, and most of her expression, could be obscured.
However, he instead came with a compromise. An exercise of power over her freedom to him, but an opportunity for herself.
With what energy Serena wishes could be spent on a scowl, her head turns, eyes focusing on his form. And once more, her mind begins ticking. Make him agree. Let him think it is all his own idea. Get out of this place. Play along, just long enough for him to become the slightest bit lax, and for observant eyes to have formed a plan. Then, free herself. If she can escape, even into the arms of the Elite Four, Xerneas will follow.
"...That would be a hefty compromise-- at least, on your end,"
If nothing else, she is her father's daughter. Cut from cloth unassuming at a first glance, but woven from threads a little too durable; with a little too much give. And perhaps strands of her mother's strength thrown into the mix.
"To be on stage, I need to be in rehearsals. Daily classes. Performances. Shoe fittings... Costume tests..."
And what, she ponders, could he do if she were to be caught? Kill her? Even if his blood were to boil, and every vein protrude from his leathery skin, he could not. Subject her to more horrors? He could not keep it up indefinitely. Indeed, while it is possible their quarrel will stretch for eternity, it is with that same amount of time she has to free herself. For Xerneas, in all their primordial glory, to grow tired and break their vow to not turn their power against a human, and end this game of cat and mouse themselves.
And she is a horrifically patient woman.
The tips of fingers flex in time with the lifting of brows-- in suggestion, as though ideas are simply popping into existence the longer her poor, deprived mind is given to think. Things, Serena wagers, he already is aware of.
"My company will also ask questions about my disappearance-- the league and press even more so, and I will not be able to avoid talking to them. Especially when the general consensus they've come to is that I was kidnapped."
For a moment, eyes flicker to the mirror before her. If only this were so much more simple. If only he did not have people who could materialise out of thin air and move faster than the eye could see. If only he did not have that infernal suit. If only her father's life were not at stake. Had the only one at risk been herself, Serena would have made her move months ago. Over and over, until she was free or frustration alone made her not worth the chase.
"You would be placing an awful lot of trust in me. But... I'm sure you've already thought of ways to navigate that. I don't think you would bring this up if you hadn't."
If it were to fall through, nothing is lost-- not for her. Yet more of his oh-so precious time will be wasted.
"--So, what are you considering?"

I had a really bad meltdown today in 8th period. 5th & 8th are my 2 worst. I'd already had my department head come in and help me out with 5th.
In 8th I even have an aide and between the two of us we still cannot control the class. There are five boys in there that simply wreak havoc every day. Today I taught 2 sentences and that was as much as I got. The rest of the time I spent telling them to be quiet.
Finally after the 20th time ---- and trust me having to tell them 20 times to get quiet is very normal and a daily occurrence--- I just lost it.
Half of the class did not even take notes on Friday. The half that did, didn't bother to put their names on the notes.
And these notes are not traditional notes these notes are the type where you only fill in one or two words per sentence-- the type you would normally give special ed kids but I am giving it to everyone because that's how bad the kids are this year.
So after spending the first 25 minutes of class trying to get them situated with their notes, handing them back and trying to figure out what notes belong to who because most people did not put their name on them, I said something about we will pick up where we left off yesterday.
The entire class screamed at me: YESTERDAY WAS SUNDAY!!!!
And that was it. I burst into tears and had to have the principal come for the last 15 minutes of class.
When I worked in my hometown the school that I got sent to was, when I had grown up there, the best school in town. Now it is where the children of drug dealers, gang members, thugs, and convicts go, because it is right down the street from a prison, and across the street from a crack den apt complex.
I expected constant disrespect and misbehavior from those kids. Which I got and more. Part of the reason I walk with a cane now is because I was tackled in the hallway by 2 4th grade boys attempting to jump a third which I stood in the way of, which messed up my back and hips. I had one kid stabbed another kid and my first period class and which I had two AIDS aside from myself and I still could not control them. And the kid who did the stabbing only got one day of in school suspension. And that was it.
So I pretty much expected it from those kids.
These kids come from decent homes. I would wager most of their parents make twice what I do. And yet the constant disrespect this year, the constant refusal to work, and the absolute apathy for anything but tik tok makes them right on par with the baby thugs I taught back home.

More lmk x fairy tail au!!!!! okay so I’m still working on it honestly haven’t scratched the surface yet but, some info on redson and mei here ya go!
(Also I’m gonna change Redson hair I dislike this style on him… and I’m gonna change up meis hair a little too)
Redson has fire maker magic and archive magic he usually uses his fire maker magic for combat along with it being apart of their body and such so bro really makes it apart of their daily life when he isn’t doing combat he’s doing strategy! His archive magic comes in handy with this! Assistanting his guild mates and learning more with these awesome spells!
Redson originally came from another guild called Demonic Bull guild, he was born and raised there but he ends up leaving after the guild is disbanded due to wagering a war with FFM guild if you don’t know what that means it means FLOWER FRUIT MOUNTAIN, anyway, he only ends up joining due to Sun wukong (guild master of FFM) guiding him to a brighter path(yes this is a reference and connection to gajeel and master mockorave ….I can’t spell these names bro…) he soon joins the guild in hopes that maybe he can be more useful to his guild mates and make amends, I should add that he has a form called Furious fire bull, which is like a more powerful combat form that he only uses when he knows he may not be strong enough to win a battle normally, he learned it from his mother princess iron fan who has a form Called furious wind bull who also uses wind magic btw but I think that was pretty obvious…
Next mei! I don’t have much on Mei YET but i will say that she comes from a rich family who she decided to rebel against due to feeling out of place and unwanted and trapped joining a guild without help from her families finances, the guild she joins is FFM! She also ends up meeting Mk there, Mei is a dragon slayer but she has no recollection of meeting the dragon who trained her, all she knows is that they were family and that she was small when she was trained to be one. I’m not sure what I want to name meis dragon powers I was thinking sea dragon? Or maybe ….green..dragon..? Ughhh yeah as I said mei is still being worked on 😭 mei has a dragon force form obvi usually every dragon slayer does but uhhh she only learns how to use it after battling Redson in a 1v1 during the war between demonic bull and FFM I also have to work on what I’ll do with the samadhi fire cause rn I dunno…it’s definitely gonna combine with her dragon slayer magic but for now I have no idea… OHHHH one last thing! Mei is an S class wizard and also the tattoos on her back other than her guild emblem are representing the samadhi fire and her family crest (I think that’s what you’d call it) okay I’m so sleepy good night that’s all I got for now!

Advantages and Disadvantages of Satta King:
In India, the numbers-based lottery game known as Satta King has enraptured bettors for decades with promises of fast riches and high-stakes entertainment. Participants attempt to correctly guess elusive winning digits based on opening and closing rates in daily maritime commodity markets. Winners can pocket hefty cash prizes by wagering tiny amounts. But beneath its compelling prospects, partaking in Satta King gambling also comes loaded with risks and ethical considerations. In this piece, we dive deeper into the intriguing appeal surrounding Saatta King while laying bare its problematic implications for individuals and greater society.
Seductive Pull of the Satta King Game
Satta King owes much of its popularity among the masses to three key attributes:
Simplicity – At its heart, the format is approachable for all classes of Indians. Playing merely requires guessing a 2 or 3 digit number from 00 to 99. No complex strategy or statistical skills necessary to participate.
Prizes – The ability to transform pocket change into outsized lumpsums prizes up to Rs 1 crore creates irresistible temptation. Even small bets placed can lead to life-changing windfalls.
Anonymity – Bets happen discreetly away from public glare through local brokers without identity disclosure. This appeals to those wanting to privately try their luck.
For financially struggling communities, that combination fosters hope despite unlikely odds. But easy access and big dreams often lead many players down wayward, risky paths.
Potential Perils of Staking Money on Satta Kings
Behind Satta King’s glitzy facade lies ruinous outcomes for the majority tempted by its siren call. Consequences span from squandered savings to compulsive addictions to legal troubles.
Low winning odds – With 100 numbers in play, probably of netting the single correct one remains extremely miniscule at just 1%. Unlikely odds rarely materialize for most staking hard-earned income.
Addiction – The cheap access and big prize lure create highly addictive urges to keep playing rather than quit after losses pile up. This descent towards unaffordable, obsessive gambling remains all too common.
Debt – Many unable to accept losses chase winnings through loans from shady lenders at usurious rates. Mounting interest and principal repayments trap families in cyclic poverty struggling to repay.
Crime connections – While appearing harmless on the surface, the Satta King underground network often intertwines with organized criminal elements like mob syndicates who demand their pound of flesh.
Money laundering – Large undeclared cash volumes changing hands foster parallel black money and money laundering conduits subverting legitimate finances.
Police crackdowns – Law enforcement periodically attempt to rein in illegal lottery networks given ties to anti-social elements. But players get caught in the crossfire facing jail time or penalties too.
Family strife – Obsessively betting disposable income on Satta King without consent causes domestic disputes and fractures marital relationships tearing families apart over money.
Societal enablement – Participation rarely remains isolated creating an enabling ecosystem in communities perpetuating reliance on questionable means for income
Thus beyond fleeting rich glory stories lies a longer trail of financial turmoil, addiction, debt traps, poverty and living on the wrong side of the law for many indulging in Satta King as a road to prosperity.
Satta King - Ethical and Moral Quandaries
Beyond just tangible repercussions for people and families, partaking in this popular gambling pastime also flies against ethical ideals and value systems. As an unlawful and potentially manipulative activity, several philosophical questions arise around Satta King.
Is it morally right to enable and gain from others misfortunes? Does participating abet unethical elements? Should quick wealth depend on aligning with shadowy systems over diligence? Does relying on chance oppose the dignity of labor?
Such considerations around virtue, integrity and contributing to the greater good matter while pursuing prosperity. The veneer of victims being complicit distant players rather than individuals being clearly exploited erodes clarity. Yet under closer scrutiny, ethical ambiguity prevails on both micro and macro levels regarding lottery gambling.
Final Verdict - Thrills Outweighed by Real-World Impact
In principle, Satta King offers hope and enjoyment. Small wonders do occasionally breathe life-changing fortune into a few. However, ground realities point strongly towards an irresponsibly addictive vice benefitting few at the greater expense of many. The ethical, societal and familial harms invariably outweigh the short-lived temptations. Perhaps placing faith into building skills and diligence presents better outcomes minus the rollercoaster turmoil.
With awareness and right priorities, may individuals and communities make empowered choices. Now equipped with balanced understanding both sides of the Satta King coin - the alluring yet risky, intentionally seek the path aligned with your truth.

Satta King: King of underground gambling in India
Introduction
Satta King, a word synonymous with illegal gambling, has attracted the attention of millions of people across India. This underground betting phenomenon, deeply rooted in Indian culture and history, has grown into a massive industry, operating in the shadows, yet wielding immense influence over its dedicated followers.
Origin and development
The origins of Satta King can be traced back to the 19th century when it began as recreational gambling among the affluent classes in independent India. Initially centered around the opening and closing rates of cotton transmitted from the New York Cotton Exchange to the Bombay Cotton Exchange, it gradually expanded to include other traded commodities.
Over time, Satta King transcended its humble beginnings and became a nationwide phenomenon, attracting people from all walks of life. The advent of modern communication technologies made its development more convenient, allowing rapid dissemination of betting rates and results throughout the country.
Mechanics of Satta King
At its core, Satta King works on a simple principle: participants bet on a set of numbers, and the winning numbers are determined by a variety of methods, often including a random number generator or the last two digits of the opening and closing rates. Includes use of. of some items.
The betting process is facilitated by a network of operators, commonly known as "Betting Kings", who oversee the collection and distribution of bets. These operators use a hierarchical structure with multiple layers of agents and sub-agents responsible for managing the flow of money and information.
Cultural significance
Despite its illegality, Satta King has penetrated deeply into Indian society, crossing socio-economic boundaries. For many people, it represents much more than just a gambling activity; It has become an integral part of their daily routine, a source of excitement, and a means of social interaction.
The allure of Satta King lies in its ability to offer a chance to get lucky, no matter one's background or financial situation. This universal appeal has contributed to its enduring popularity, with millions of Indians regularly participating in the betting process.
Economic impact
Although it is difficult to measure the exact economic impact of Satta King due to its underground nature, estimates suggest that billions of rupees are wagered annually. This staggering amount has given rise to the emergence of a parallel economy, giving rise to a thriving network of operators, agents, and supporting businesses.
However, the unregulated nature of Satta King has also raised concerns about its potential for money laundering, tax evasion, and other illegal activities. Efforts to regulate or ban the practice have had limited success, as the industry continues to thrive in the shadows.
Legal status and challenges
Satta king is illegal under the Public Gambling Act of 1867, which prohibits the conduct of any game for money or other valuable consideration. Despite this legal prohibition, the practice persists, often relying on loopholes and the collusion of various stakeholders.
Efforts to curb the operations of betting kings have faced significant challenges, including deep-rooted cultural acceptance, a vast network of operators, and a lack of effective enforcement mechanisms. Additionally, the allure of potential financial gain and the thrill of betting have proven difficult to overcome, further complicating efforts to end the practice.
Future of Satta king
As India grapples with the complexities associated with betting, the debate over regulation, legalization, and strict enforcement measures continues. Some argue for a regulated framework to harness the economic potential and reduce associated risks, while others advocate a complete ban to maintain the rule of law and protect vulnerable communities.
Regardless of the path chosen, Satta King's enduring popularity highlights the deeply rooted cultural and social factors that have contributed to its widespread acceptance. Addressing this phenomenon will require a multidimensional approach that considers not only legal and economic factors but also the underlying cultural and social dynamics that have allowed it to flourish. Visit us to explore the intricate world of Satta King and uncover the significance of Sattagalidiswar. Experience the thrill of gambling intertwined with culture, superstition, and community influence. Join the excitement today!

Unveiling the Shadowy World of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta
Three names stick out in the maze-like Indian gaming underworld: Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta. These mysterious entities have established themselves in the underground satta matka scene, luring in a plethora of adventurous individuals with the prospect of instant wealth and exhilarating fun at risk. Nevertheless, there is a complicated web of mystery, intrigue, and controversy hidden underneath the promise of fast money.
The History of Upgameking, Black Satta, and Blacksatta In order to comprehend Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta, one needs to investigate the history of satta matka. Satta matka originated in the busy streets of Mumbai in the 1960s and became well-known among the working class of the city as an underground lottery. Satta matka began as a betting game on the opening and closing rates of cotton that were sent from the New York Cotton Exchange. Over time, it expanded into a more general gambling game that included a variety of markets and outcomes.
Sattva Matka discovered a new platform for its operations when the internet era emerged. Online sites like Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta arose to digitise the old-fashioned satta matka experience by allowing users to wager and win from the comfort of their homes. The classic game of chance entered a new century thanks to these companies' slick websites, smartphone apps, and 24-hour accessibility.
The Workings of Upgameking, Blacksatta, and Black Satta The basic idea of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta is that participants wager on different numerical combinations—from single digits to entire sets—in the hopes of correctly guessing the winning numbers. Every platform provides a wide range of markets and betting choices, enabling users to customise their tactics according to their tastes and level of risk tolerance.
To keep the adrenaline pumping and the excitement level high, the games are usually played several times a day, with results revealed right away. Payouts are based on the size of the wager and the odds, and winners are chosen based on how accurately they predicted the outcome. In this high-stakes, quick-paced atmosphere, fortunes can be made or lost in an instant.
The Allure of Upgameking, Blacksatta, and Black Satta For a number of reasons, Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta continue to have a committed following despite the inherent risks. The excitement of pitting one's abilities and luck against others in a competitive setting attracts a lot of people. Even the dull routines of daily life are made more exciting by the adrenaline rush of placing a wager and seeing the results come in.
Furthermore, the possibility of making significant cash gains serves as a strong incentive for a lot of gamers. In a nation where economic prospects are sometimes limited and wealth inequality is pervasive, the possibility of striking it rich suddenly is extremely alluring. Some see Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta as risky opportunities for financial independence and upward mobility.
The Debate About Upgameking, Black Satta, and Blacksatta Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta are not without controversy, despite their widespread appeal. Critics contend that these platforms take advantage of weak people by endorsing gambling as a way out of suffering and poverty. Due to its addictive nature, gambling can exacerbate already-existing social disparities by causing financial ruin and emotional suffering to individuals who lack self control.
Furthermore, there is ongoing discussion in India regarding the legality of satta matka and its internet variations. Although several jurisdictions have passed legislation to control or outlaw gaming, enforcement of these laws has often been slack, permitting illegal operators to thrive without consequence. Concerns regarding the possibility of fraud, manipulation, and exploitation within the satta matka ecosystem are raised by this supervision gap.
The Prospects for Upgameking, Black Satta, and Blacksatta The future of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta is yet unknown as society's perceptions about gambling change as technology advances. Some argue for legalising and regulating gambling as a way to generate income and fight organised crime, while others support tougher laws to safeguard customers and stop illegal activity.
A complex interaction of legal, economic, and cultural issues will ultimately decide the fate of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta. It remains to be seen if they make it into the mainstream or if they keep prospering in the shadows. But one thing is for sure: Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta will always be alluring as long as there are people who are lured to the excitement of taking a chance and the possibility of winning.
In summary Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta are titans of the underground gaming scene in the dark world of satta matka. Numerous gamers seeking excitement and profit have been captured by their digital platforms and alluring promises of wealth. However, beyond the glitter and gloss is a less glamorous world of controversy, exploitation, and ambiguity.
The fate of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta is in doubt as India struggles with the effects of gambling in the digital era. It remains to be seen if they become respectable businesses or are consigned to the annals of history. But one thing is for sure: the legacy of Black Satta, Upgameking, and Blacksatta will live on, leaving a lasting impression on the Indian gaming scene for years to come, as long as there are visionaries ready to take a chance.

Around the world in 80 days, Jules Verne
CHAPTER V. IN WHICH A NEW SPECIES OF FUNDS, UNKNOWN TO THE MONEYED MEN, APPEARS ON ’CHANGE
Phileas Fogg rightly suspected that his departure from London would create a lively sensation at the West End. The news of the bet spread through the Reform Club, and afforded an exciting topic of conversation to its members. From the club it soon got into the papers throughout England. The boasted “tour of the world” was talked about, disputed, argued with as much warmth as if the subject were another Alabama claim.
Some took sides with Phileas Fogg, but the large majority shook their heads and declared against him; it was absurd, impossible, they declared, that the tour of the world could be made, except theoretically and on paper, in this minimum of time, and with the existing means of travelling. The Times, Standard, Morning Post, and Daily News, and twenty other highly respectable newspapers scouted Mr. Fogg’s project as madness; the Daily Telegraph alone hesitatingly supported him. People in general thought him a lunatic, and blamed his Reform Club friends for having accepted a wager which betrayed the mental aberration of its proposer.
Articles no less passionate than logical appeared on the question, for geography is one of the pet subjects of the English; and the columns devoted to Phileas Fogg’s venture were eagerly devoured by all classes of readers. At first some rash individuals, principally of the gentler sex, espoused his cause, which became still more popular when the Illustrated London News came out with his portrait, copied from a photograph in the Reform Club. A few readers of the Daily Telegraph even dared to say, “Why not, after all? Stranger things have come to pass.”
At last a long article appeared, on the 7th of October, in the bulletin of the Royal Geographical Society, which treated the question from every point of view, and demonstrated the utter folly of the enterprise.
Everything, it said, was against the travellers, every obstacle imposed alike by man and by nature. A miraculous agreement of the times of departure and arrival, which was impossible, was absolutely necessary to his success. He might, perhaps, reckon on the arrival of trains at the designated hours, in Europe, where the distances were relatively moderate; but when he calculated upon crossing India in three days, and the United States in seven, could he rely beyond misgiving upon accomplishing his task? There were accidents to machinery, the liability of trains to run off the line, collisions, bad weather, the blocking up by snow—were not all these against Phileas Fogg? Would he not find himself, when travelling by steamer in winter, at the mercy of the winds and fogs? Is it uncommon for the best ocean steamers to be two or three days behind time? But a single delay would suffice to fatally break the chain of communication; should Phileas Fogg once miss, even by an hour; a steamer, he would have to wait for the next, and that would irrevocably render his attempt vain.
This article made a great deal of noise, and, being copied into all the papers, seriously depressed the advocates of the rash tourist.
Everybody knows that England is the world of betting men, who are of a higher class than mere gamblers; to bet is in the English temperament. Not only the members of the Reform, but the general public, made heavy wagers for or against Phileas Fogg, who was set down in the betting books as if he were a race-horse. Bonds were issued, and made their appearance on ’Change; “Phileas Fogg bonds” were offered at par or at a premium, and a great business was done in them. But five days after the article in the bulletin of the Geographical Society appeared, the demand began to subside: “Phileas Fogg” declined. They were offered by packages, at first of five, then of ten, until at last nobody would take less than twenty, fifty, a hundred!
Lord Albemarle, an elderly paralytic gentleman, was now the only advocate of Phileas Fogg left. This noble lord, who was fastened to his chair, would have given his fortune to be able to make the tour of the world, if it took ten years; and he bet five thousand pounds on Phileas Fogg. When the folly as well as the uselessness of the adventure was pointed out to him, he contented himself with replying, “If the thing is feasible, the first to do it ought to be an Englishman.”
The Fogg party dwindled more and more, everybody was going against him, and the bets stood a hundred and fifty and two hundred to one; and a week after his departure an incident occurred which deprived him of backers at any price.
The commissioner of police was sitting in his office at nine o’clock one evening, when the following telegraphic dispatch was put into his hands:
Suez to London.
ROWAN, COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, SCOTLAND YARD: I’ve found the bank robber, Phileas Fogg. Send without delay warrant of arrest to Bombay.
FIX, Detective.
The effect of this dispatch was instantaneous. The polished gentleman disappeared to give place to the bank robber. His photograph, which was hung with those of the rest of the members at the Reform Club, was minutely examined, and it betrayed, feature by feature, the description of the robber which had been provided to the police. The mysterious habits of Phileas Fogg were recalled; his solitary ways, his sudden departure; and it seemed clear that, in undertaking a tour round the world on the pretext of a wager, he had had no other end in view than to elude the detectives, and throw them off his track.

Positive and negative impact of technology on children
Let me take you a few years back when the world was hit by the most disastrous event in the history of mankind- Corona virus! It literally attacked the humanity with all its vigour and depth. The world came to a standstill. It looked like as if the nature wanted to take back, what belonged to it and get balance back into the planet. However, we being, who we are, retaliated with passion, resilience and persistence to fight back and survive.
Why am I quoting the facts that everyone already knows about? Because the effort of the doctors, scientists, daily wagers, lifestyle changes were noticed almost immediately but we paid very little attention to what our children were going through, not even the educationists till the time the students started facing emotional troubles, loss of learning, social interaction loss and finally actual realisation happened when they started reporting back to the schools yearning for social interaction. The learning deficit of 17% as per the research demonstrating the cognitive loss but humans, the most evolved living being is assumed to be a combination of so many other domains.l
COVID changed the outlook of schools completely in particular. We all have been a part of the digital revolution and knew already that ours would be the last generation to witness many activities/ devices which we had grown up with, but the change would be so fast, this was not envisaged by anyone in the past. It was like we digitalised the learning process, almost overnight, when the teaching started happening through the screens, teachers starting with self- created videos to taking live lessons. Not only that, schools, all over started holding competitions, school events, convocations, collaborative meetings, examinations so much so the sports training as well as annual functions were organized online. Suddenly a new vista opened for humanity to explore and use to the maximum extent. Every day became a challenge as the boundaries of time ceased to exist for the people in various professions and so did for the younger lot. Online training sessions, webinars, admission counselling sessions, extra classes became the norm of the day irrespective of the time on the clock.
We as educationists and parents, who always preached about screen time, scheduled use of technology, video games, all of a sudden became the proponents of digital medium for learning as well as expressing. But was all of this so bad! Not at all, our competence to survive and face adversity developed a notch higher and the unsaid truth regarding why we are at the top of the food chain, was proved once again.
The integration of technology into education became inevitable and this integration revolutionised the way children access and interact with educational content now-a days.
There were many advantages of online learning which are still there as now, educational institutes need not to be closed down in case of any unforeseen incident. As they say, the show must go on.
So, a few of the advantages of technology are flexible timings, and accessible education for those who can’t afford or can’t physically make it possible. The learning platforms are completely interactive with multimedia content, capable of providing immediate feedback through tools like Mentimeter, Quizzes etc, and most importantly – Personalised learning- wherein some online platforms are available to provide customized learning solutions to the learners as per their choice and voice. It also inculcated the feeling of ownership as the programs are usually self-paced.
But this revolution came with its own complexities.
While it is true that we live in a dynamic world and use of technology is imperative, but does that mean the negatives of technology also need to be embraced? Negative impacts like screen time, limited social interaction distractions in the online space, cyber bullying, frauds, and Over-reliance on technology for almost everything, which is, in turn, reducing our critical thinking and problem-solving skills that come from offline and hands–on experiences, resourcefulness – if server is down, we don’t know what to do, where to find content or material for work.
To conclude, slowly and gradually technology in its current form of easy availability, and convenience of use, is transforming into a social evil, which in my opinion, needs to be tamed and balanced for the generations to come, to have a holistic childhood and adult life, full of physical, social and emotional well-being.
It is true that “Change is the only constant”, however, how we address change ensuring balanced choices and informed decision-making is in our hands. The choice is ours! If you are looking for the best schools in Gurgaon, Satya School is the top choice for fostering the holistic development of your child.
