Danny visits metropolis and people are deadset on believing that Danny is either Clark’s little brother or his nephew from Illinois… despite that Clark can literally not be related to him. Not that the people at the Daily Planet know that, but even the ones who do know are giving him a hard time.

“I’m adopted Jimmy!” Clark threw his hands in the air in frustration. “You are very aware of that.”

“But he looks just like you Clark, you even talk the same!” Jimmy peaked around the corner, catching a glimpse of Danny talking to Lois in the employees lounge.

“He has a upper midwestern accent. I’m from Kansas, Jim. Not all midwesterners know each other!”

“So?”

“Jimmy. You know damn well why we can not be related.” Clark subtly gestured to his cheap “I believe in aliens” mug. Jimmy was Clark’s best friend and most of the time he really appreciated the kid’s keen eye but Jimmy also seemed to be constantly dead-set on figuring how to give Clark a headache.

“But he looks like a mini you! Have you asked him if he has a spare spaceship lying around anywhere?” Jimmy snarked as he glanced over to Danny and Louis who were finally heading back from their break.

“Jimmy, I will put you on the moon and leave you there.”

“Alright sheesh. I get it, I’ll drop it.”

I spend so much time thinking about how Pyro is incorporated into Hu Tao's design and combat motifs, and how it's the perfect element for her nuanced but balanced understanding of life and death, and the symbolic meaning of fire, and how fire connects to Wangsheng's traditions and the Staff of Homa, etc. etc., and when I finally write something that might actually get finished. she's not even Pyro-

#I mean all that is informing this fic #I'm having too much fun trying to decide how she uses Anemo in combat; in her job; in her daily life (if she does)#also embracing her C6 evading-death effect but with a twist. it's slightly horrifying and I'm loving it #like if her elemental skill translates as her using her own health or energy or something with the knowledge that she can balance #that sacrifice (leaning towards death) with some healing or a job well-done (leaning towards life)#as a Pyro character she rather poetically burns with certainty #it's a bit different with Anemo #because there's a reason she has anemo in this fic in the first place and it's a slightly different resolution to her grief and loss #I'm fond of fics that are almost the same but a few centimeters off and that informs everything after #I mean there are like 3 layers of explanation I need to justify her having Anemo in the first place #1. why did she get pyro 2. what's the essential motivation/realization in her vision story 3. what are the attributes of anemo #fortunately she would not know the answers to 1. or 3. and this is from her POV! so it's just her speculation #so ehehe it might actually be clearer than the actual game is from her perspective #hu tao your vision line. what does it mean. are you pretending to not care or are you actually just that used to it????#poreing over her character and vision stories trying to figure out when they occured relative to her receiving her vision #and also oddly specific details about her hat #she's so fun to write I hope I actually write more #although the way this is dividing (in my head) it might be a multichapter???#wild #anyway #why did I ramble so much in the tags? i feel like glitchy would have the WORST luck at gachas ( opposite to me, whos sorta stupidly lucky in gacha games ) he'd like.. eventually hate gacha games bc he never gets what he wants. i also think he'd tryhard them a lot. he's the type of dude to make optimal / competitive heavy builds in games that have that sorta system to the point where it like lessens his enjoyment of the game bc hes so hyperfocused on being optimal or whatever.

alternatively, he's just playing like the rhythm gacha games. i dont know if he'd suck ass at rhythm games or be surprisingly good at them. not like it matters, his hands touching the phone prob make it lag or glitch tf out. im so sorry glitchy <3 one day they will make a phone that you do not fuck with simply by existing <3
