12. Is it possible for your Tav to be kidnapped and replaced by Orin?  How is Orin's deception revealed?  How do they react to the PC rescuing them in the Temple of Bhaal?

it is not possible for marigold to be kidnapped and replaced by orin because mari goes thermonuclear about everything all the time always and i think orin would really enjoy psychologically tormenting her by kidnapping someone she loves. what fun is kidnapping the fucked up girl if you don't get to see her full on breakdown????

if evie is kidnapped orin ends up traveling with them for a lot longer than expected because evie is so clinically weird that her speech patterns and orin's actually overlap a little. so when evie starts going "pretty little flesh thing" everyone's just like ok girl take a nap or smth. orin has to actually start trying to kill yenna in front of them for them to be like well actually yeah this does seem like a larger problem (astarion notices minute fucking one and you possibly get a little side quest from him like HEY something is WEIRDER THAN USUAL with evie. NOT THAT I CARE). evie's reaction to being rescued is really just "hi astarion :D" she does not acknowledge the pc AT ALL. (i think in a situation where they're both companions they end up REALLY tight friends, but they don't actually have a romance!)

if thea is kidnapped, orin's deception is revealed when thea offers to heal jaheira and pulls a knife on her instead and starts talking about how a grisly death is the ultimate cure. jaheira literally loses her mind and hits you with the ultimatum of We Go Down There Right Now or I Go Down There Right Now, No Fucking In Between, Fuck You, and you have to choose between jaheira permanently leaving the party or committing to the bhaal quest right then and there. jaheira possibly even fights with a specific condition if you have her in the party. ptsd moment -- based on thea unconscious and tied to a table with a lot of sharp objects involved -- where her attacks deal way more damage but she's fighting at severe disadvantage and runs the risk of hitting allies. the minute thea is rescued her immediate attention is on calming jaheira down and they probably have a very isobel/aylin coded reunion moment except with a lot more blood.

if roslin is kidnapped, the deception is revealed through orin-as-roslin disclosing Some Stuff About Roslin that ros had been doing a very good job of hiding up until this point. norie is fucking inconsolable and while she stays in camp she is no longer a party member until her big sister comes back (though she DOES join you as an extra ally for the bhaal fight). jaheira is also uncharacteristically unsettled for reasons that are later revealed (one ASSUMES it is because roslin is a baby harper and thea's oldest daughter, but there MIGHT be a little more to it. who knows.). roslin who is totally unflappable kinda wakes up on the blood soaked slab like oh hey lol. Worst nap of all time. Why is norie on the floor sobbing hysterically that seems like a ? Problem?

i genuinely cannot imagine a situation where norie is kidnapped. her terrifying goth girl energy is too strong and i think orin is kind of secretly dying to fight her. lovers in another life, i believe.
