DYNAMITE :: Is there a song that you strongly associate with your ship? Any particular lyrics that resonate with you for your ship?

OKAY, I'VE TALKED ABOUT THIS BEFORE, BUT I'M ALIVE (LIFE SOUNDS LIKE) BY MICHAEL FRANTI AND SPEARHEAD IS OUR SONG!!! everything about it just resonates with our relationship so much! the feel-good happy vibes!!! I don't think there's a specific set of lyrics in the song I associate more heavily with us than the others, I just think the entire song in general is very us!

I think it's perfect too that I first heard it in the trailer for rayman legends... ;D ever since then, I was like. oh my gosh. oh my gosh that's OUR SONG.

HOW FAR WE’VE COME :: What’s your “happy ending” for your ship? How do you end up?

I know it's cliché - and very cheesy - but I want nothing more than that happily ever after fairytale ending with him. 💖 just wanna be together forever. I really do feel like he's my soulmate.

and when I say 'together forever', I mean it... I headcanon that beings in the glade of dreams are near immortal. that's a long time to live. and we're going to spend all of that time by eachother's side. 💞

What are your favorite things about Magus, in terms of mannerisms, actions, quotes, etc.?

OMG OK SO initially part of what drew me towards him is how determined he is. he’s very single-minded in his goals and will go to extreme lengths to achieve them. he is a pragmatic sort of person and he was willing to bide his time and wait until he (thought he had) the upper hand to face lavos. it’s both very attractive and scary to me, he’s a fun f/o to pick apart

i also love how he has a sarcastic/dry sense of humor, that’s an easy way to win me over in the first place but i gotta give a special mention to what i’ve seen of him in the original snes version so far. i’ve played the steam version first because it was a gift, and the translation is more accurate, but i plan to play the original as well and woolsey’s localization gives magus a sort of sass that he didn’t really display as openly in the steam/ds translation. it’s very funny to me because he’s a bit less eloquent and more bratty, coming across more vegeta-esque and it’d be fun to combine the two manners of speaking to get my own personal version of the character

But older means you are older, senile, losing your sense of self and clinging on to that irrational reality that you think is real.

Perhaps they are both losing it.

Older she may be in a sense, a mother to all with a dead fish gaze of a lightpost; losing its light to time.

Younger they may be but the world had weighed down upon them with predatory gazes, unable to even lift the pen that they once used to flourish the world of ink.

It's poison to them now.

Carcinogenic fumes that buried their beloved.

A stinging, singing whip wrapped around their fist, the woman glaring at them. She thinks she knows, she claims she knows but does she?

Does she?

Does she know that agony that resounds, howls, and wishes in the dark that they make upon a starless sky because no one will fucking hear their cries?

Silenced by fate.

"Hack, that's enough, I don't want to fight you."

Hack hisses, a serpent within the grass as they raise their other fist. Flames licking at the deadly virus and ready to reach out and shoot forth-

"Stop! Please!"

The little lion cub paws at Hack's leg, having refused to transform despite his mother's state. Blunt nails digging into armor and scraping against keratin.

They don't want to kick the child but...

"Will this make you happy, Ku-san?!"

A pause, and Hack slowly feels their muscles distend upon themselves; shirking, rotting, a plague upon their bones. A heart once lost now falsely found feasting upon their own corpse.

When was the last time they had been happy?

"Will it...make you happy? Fighting?" Leoring doesn't know how to properly face the world, they know this but slowly do they bend down, the lancing whip's grace evaporating from their wrists as slowly both of their armor disintegrates

A choking, writhing, withering gasp.

"I don't know..."

Leoring slowly wraps his tiny paws around the leg of the other, "Can we stay...for a lil?" he whispers.

"Rest." A sudden shock of frigid cold to their cheek, a bottle of water in the hands of the other. Hack glances up to the tamer of beasts who gives them a silent and sweet smile. "When was the last time you had eaten, or drank something? Or even slept?" she always asks these questions to everyone, they remember her grilling her teammates with the most hideous of glares.

It's a sign she cares. when Hack no longer does.

Slowly they sit on the ground in a criss-cross position, bringing the little lion into their chest and letting out a sobbing sigh as the smell of popcorn and cotton candy and bubble gum fills their senses; it's the scent of the little kit that tries to help, purring and making biscuits against their shoulders.

"Thanks..." they hoarse murmur as they take the bottle after a moment of silence, and still has their hand stretched out as she places a wrapped rice ball into their palm to join it.

It's still warm...life put into it when they felt their own fade away.

"Do you think..." Hack murmurs as Tea sits next to them, Leoring looking up at them with wide eyes and a cock of his head.

"Do you think I'll see him again?"

"You will!"

"He's not the type to stay dead." Tea scoffs as she pulls out a blanket from her knapsack (they never figured out how the fuck she does that) and wraps it around their shoulders. "I'm sure he'll be back."

Hack doesn't speak, sipping from the bottle and munching from the wad of rice, listening absentmindedly to Leoring's little made up stories about the sun and the moon and the stars.

The silence won't kill any of them today, not until their tongues are primed for war once more.

HEH THANK U her series is rly obscure as far as toku goes! ive watched it through a couple times and im waiting to eventually buy a copy of the second series (that's like. The only way I'd ever be able to see it despite a LOT of digging)

it's made by the same guy who made machine girl/robogeisha and other schlocky toku-esque movies, and u can tell he had a lot of love 4 the genre despite how stupid it can be lol. and the actress who plays her is really great she's super consistent and u can tell she rly had fun playing her ^_^ which makes it all the more enjoyable to watch because a character like her seems incredibly hard to like make Watchable

What’s their love languages?

↠ izumi is quality time (he would spend every waking moment of his life with noeri and never grow tired of it), and acts of service (he cooks for her a lot, sews her things; he also likes blow-drying her hair for her after a bath and combing it)!

↠ noeri's is also acts of service (bringing him drinks, holding a parasol over his head on sunny/hot days, etc), and words of affirmation (once she realizes her feelings, she's very open about how much she loves izumi)!

Who is the more romantic one?

↠ definitely noeri! she's much more attuned with things that are inherently considered 'romantic'; she reads a lot of shoujo manga and watches dramas (also she's a serial otoge player!), so she gets inspired by them in her gestures.

izumi rivets his attention onto smaller things, like calling every outing when it's the two of them a 'date'! hehe

What does a date night out look like for them?

↠ izumi dressing noeri up and noeri dressing izumi up; before they go out to an opulent restaurant. izumi's hand rests on her thigh as they chitchat with each other, rubbing indolent circles onto her skin as he praises her choice of clothing for tonight—and she compliments him back, beaming brightly!

afterwards, they walk along the city streets and window shop—all the stores already closed for the day, the pale luminescence of their indoor lights dimming across the expanse of their inventory. they're the only two ambling along, giving them so privacy and allowing them to hear how their heartbeats coalesce together in a perfect symphony..!

so i was practically almost like Obligated to like ace going into geats, because i'm a kitsune sl*t until the day i'm buried in the ground, but ohhh my gosh i wasn't expecting him to be just SO sweet and caring.... like did you know there are two different types of kitsune, and they're basically the good kind who protect people and more mischievous ones who do more trickery and thievery. so realizing that they molded ace to be the sweeter kind of kitsune in the get-go was nice, and i think made me fall for him quicker, haha..
