Where to Get Witchy Supplies (part 1)
Hey guys! So this post is going to be another masterpost type with some info added. This is just a guide on where I get my witchcraft and wicca supplies on a budget! I know practicing in college or high school can be difficult when it feels like you have to have the BEST and PRETTIEST tools, supplies, etc, but it doesn’t have to be that way! This post is the first part to a two (maybe three) part series, and I will be posting the next part tomorrow!
So before we get into this list, I want to say that being a witch/wiccan/pagan or whatever you identify as does not mean you have to have the prettiest supplies. Really, the only thing that matters is if your tools function and that you connect with them! I also want to mention that some of these items are going to be on the ‘splurge’ side, but the majority are pretty cheap so you can save up for those pricier items! Let’s get into it babes!
Herbs
A big way to save on herbs is to avoid your grocery store most of the time. Of course you can compare prices between the sites I list below (which I tend to do for anything I buy so I can get the best deal!) These are a few of my favorite online places to buy herbs!
✴ Magical Omaha: this site has a TON of different supplies that you can buy online. My favorite section happens to be their herbs section. They also have bee pollen and beeswax beads in this section! They sell their herbs by the ounce, and every order I have placed has been perfect. They have $5 flat rate shipping that I believe is for all across America!
✴ 13 Moons: this site is a little pricier than Magical Omaha, and I am not too sure on their shipping (I believe it was around 5 dollars for me!) but they have a few more options than Magical Omaha. They have resins, more root options, and a few more herbs than Magical Omaha that I could see from browsing. They also have herbal sets and bundles, which Magical Omaha does not have.
✴ Mountain Rose Herbs: I am pretty sure this site is more catered towards alternative medicine or wellness. However, I have heard good things about the quality of their products, so I am adding it to the list!
Incense / Cleansing
So I do not have a lot of experience with buying incense as my apartment complex does not allow it, but I did a bit of research to find a couple cheap options for you guys!
✴ five below: This is a newer store (at least where I’m from) and while they are more of a bargain store, they do have a few options for incense and essential oils! One of the best deals I saw on their site was 20 incense sticks for 2 dollars! Definitely perfect for the witch on a budget. They also have free shipping on orders over 35 dollars!
✴ Incense Warehouse: This site has ENDLESS options for incense, sage, smudge sticks, really anything you can burn! If you can think it, you can find it!
Crystals
I personally rarely buy my crystals online (and when I do, I tend to go to Etsy), but there are a lot of options to do so! I will link a few below! However, for the most cost efficient way to buy crystals, I would definitely research any metaphysical stores in your area. That way, you will be able to make sure your crystals are in perfect shape and you are able to be sure you will connect with them. Also, always cleanse your crystals after you receive/buy them. You don’t know whose energy has been absorbed by them!
✴ Bliss Crystals: this Etsy is chalk full of crystals of all shapes and sizes! The prices are also extremely reasonable compared to many different stores I have browsed. Also, you receive free shipping on orders $35 and up!
✴ CrystalsnCreations: Elica has a wide variety of crystal kits and decorations! She also has a few ‘mystery’ kits where she intuitively chooses your crystals for you! You can also create your own crystal set. Her pricing is also very good, and I am pretty sure every order comes with free shipping!
✴ The Spirit Nectar (Canada): this shop has SO many crystals to choose from! They are organized by size and shape for ease. They also sell home decorations and some pretty cool artwork as well! There are quite a few items with free shipping to the US, and I’m pretty sure to Canada (I may be mistaken on the Canada bit).
✴ Your Crystal Shop: another shop with so many options. They mainly specialize in jewelry/pendants, but around 1000 items are currently under their sale section!
✴ Mandala Gems: I have only heard good things about this shop, and looking at their website just gives me a good feeling! SO MANY BIG CRYSTALS! They also have a clearance crystal section and a sale section!
Athames and Bolines
So for a witch on a budget, I honestly think that these are the hardest things to come by. An athame is a ritual knife that generally has a dark handle, is traditionally double sided (check your local knife laws!) and is not used for literal cutting (just ‘cutting’ energy or directing it). A boline is another ritual knife, but it is used for cutting or carving different things at your altar. It traditionally has a lighter handle, and can be a crescent moon blade, a small scythe, or even a pair of scissors! Something to always remember is if something does its job and you use it in your practice, then it is a proper tool!
There are so many options on Etsy for athames, and I have even run into a few interesting knives that could work as athames at vintage stores and art stores! You could even use a letter opener. Here are a few affordable options for athames!
✴ Botanical Resin Athame
✴ Hecate Athame
✴ Pewter Celestial Athame
✴ Adder Athame
✴ Personalized Leaf Letter Opener
✴ These Gorgeous Letter Openers
Etsy (can you tell I LOVE ETSY for all things witchy??) also has a great selection for Bolines! I personally use scissors or a carving knife as my boline, depending on what needs to be cut, but I’ll list some “traditional” bolines for you!
✴ Reaver Boline
✴ Moon Crescent Boline
✴ Druid Boline
✴ These Bolines and Athames from allwicca.com
Wands
Your wand is one of your most powerful tools. It helps you direct energy and focus your intentions in any ritual or spell. While you can buy a wand that you feel drawn to, I personally love making my own! I have made two in the past. So for this little list, I will be linking a few pre-made wand options, and a few tutorials on how to make your own wand! The lovely part about making your own wand is it is super cost effective and really, you probably only need to buy 1 or two things (a small crystal you would like to use and any carving tools you need). In the future, I will probably make a tutorial on how I make my wands!
Make your own wand!
✴ Tutorial 1
✴ My Tutorial! (will link when posted)
A few beautiful wands I found
✴ Handmade Maple Walnut Wand
✴ Quartz and Wood Wand (look through her Etsy for more!)
✴ Rough Selenite Wand (you can use completely crystal wands as well)
So babes, that’s about all for this part of the supply shopping post! In the next post, I will be adding more altar tools and possibly a few divination tools! If the divination tools do not fit into the next post, then I will be doing a third post about them!
Thank you so much for reading! If you have any questions, my ask is always open!

Some New Correspondences I Learned!
Hello everyone! So last night I received a beautiful package (deer tips and a mystery curios box) I ordered from ofmothandmoon on Etsy! I didn’t initially order it for my practice (I really love natural curios, ethically found bones, and ‘vulture culture’) but when I opened the package, I immediately felt drawn to some of the items to use in my craft! These items aren’t necessarily ‘mainstream’ (at least I haven’t seen much on them from witchblr) so I decided to research them and share with you guys!
Deer Tips
Tumblr media
photo/ofmothandmoon etsy
I ordered three naturally shed deer tips (the pointy part of the antler that deer shed).
Here’s a few facts on antlers:
✴ Antler growth begins during April and May, and continues through summer
✴ At the end of summer around July and August, the antler growth finishes. The deer begin to shed the velvet that encased the growing antlers
✴ Antler shedding, or casting, begins in January and February, and the deer shed what is now essentially dead bone.
✴ The ritual use of deer antlers has been around for at least 10,000 years
And now to the correspondences!
✴ Deer antlers are representative of the spirit of the animal, so all correspondences with deer and stag apply to deer tips!
✴ Masculinity, the sun, fire and earth
✴ Because of the shedding and regrowing of antlers and the timing aligning with the days shortening, antlers are connected to the annual death and resurrection of the sun
King Cobra Jasper
Tumblr media
photo/energy muse
This stone is absolutely stunning. I got a tannish/pink piece and I am in love with it. I also love the correspondences of this stone.
✴ Protection
✴ Awareness and observation of all around you
✴ Connectivity of everyone and everything
✴ Confidence in your own path
✴ Endurance
✴ Willpower
✴ Imagination
✴ Dreams
Larvikite
Tumblr media
photo/Twisted Twigs Earthen Goods
Another beautiful stone, I had never heard of this one before!
✴ Protection and grounding
✴ Forge strong bonds with Earth’s energies
✴ Use in meditation can promote inner visions
✴ Concentration
✴ Learning and teaching wisdom
✴ Patience
Pink Opal
Tumblr media
This is the closest image I could find to my piece! Mine was a bit more of a faint pink with a band of gray that went into white. A really gorgeous piece!
✴ Healing subconscious pain
✴ Release of fear, worry, and anxiety
✴ Centering
✴ Calmness
✴ Healing the heart
✴ Protection from nightmares
✴ Love, peace, and hope
Raccoons
I got a few raccoon bones in my package and didn’t know much about their correspondences until now!
✴ Curiosity
✴ Resourcefulness
✴ Adaptability
Copper Nugget
I got a little copper nugget as well and had to research if it had any correspondences! Much like its scientific use, copper in the magickal world is used for energy conduction and direction! It is a great addition to a magick wand or any tool you use to direct energy.
Freshwater Pearls
I have never owned or held a real pearl in my life before last night! Freshwater pearls (or any pearls) are closely tied to the moon because of the shape, both being related to water, and their look. Pearls can be used in moon magick and water magick! They are also closely associated with wisdom as well, and come in all shapes, sizes, and colors for your magickal needs!
And babes, that’s about all for this post. While I did get a few more items in my mystery box, I did not feel especially drawn to them in a magickal context (although I do love them in a visual and curios context!) A big thank you to ofmothandmoon on Etsy for this beautiful and carefully curated package! I hope you guys learned a lot from this, because I sure did! I will see you babes in my next post!

Imbolc Guide and Resources!
Tumblr media

Okay babes, take two THREE!! This will be the last time I try to post this!
Imbolc is coming up so I thought I would do a little info and resource post! This will be tagged as a masterpost because I will be adding quite a few links along with the information.

So, What is Imbolc?

Imbolc, also known as Brigid’s Day or Candlemas, is a Greater Sabbat celebrated on February 1 or 2. It is to celebrate the Earth waking up and preparing for Spring. The Triple Goddess is in her Maiden form, nurturing the seeds of Spring. This is the day to worship and thank Brigid for bringing fertility, warmth, and new life to the Earth. The Sun King can also be worshiped for his work to warm the cold Earth up. This is the perfect time to Spring clean all aspects of your life and to begin any projects you have been holding off on for a ‘better time!’

Correspondences

Herbs / Flowers

✴ Snowdrops - a flower of hope and passing sorrow

✴ Witch Hazel - protection, chastity, soothing negative emotions, banishing

✴ Lemon Grass - psychic cleansing, lust

✴ Chamomile - love, healing, de-stress, luck, tranquility, inner peace

✴ Cinnamon - luck, strength, protection, success, money, prosperity, power

✴ Coriander - health, immortality, love, protection

✴ Basil - protection, love, sexuality, wealth, healing relationships, fertility

✴ Jasmine - seduction, love, fertility

✴ Rosemary - memory, sleep, youth, purification, healing, de-stress, protection

✴ Angelica - protection, exorcism

Crystals

✴ Amethyst - dreams, healing, psychic abilities, love, courage, peace

✴ Yellow Tourmaline - love, friendship

✴ Citrine - protection, anti-nightmare, cleansing, courage, bye negative energy!

✴ Ruby - wealth, sleep, passion, joy, power, generosity, mental balance

✴ Bloodstone - healing, courage, wealth, agriculture, help with business/legal, prosperity, guidance

✴ Garnet - wisdom, fertility, business, love and friendship, health, joy, strength

✴ Turquoise - protection, meditation, courage, trust, divination, balance, loyalty, wealth

✴ Onyx - protection, grounding, scrying, balance, self-control, relief of stress and grief

Colors

✴ White - peace, purity, blessings

✴ Gold - wealth, luck, the sun, masculinity

✴ Yellow - learning, focus, joy, hope, clarity, intelligence

✴ Red - courage, creativity, passion, fire

✴ Orange - creativity, attention, new ventures, luck, success, opportunity

How to Celebrate!

Altar Activities: Imbolc is a wonderful time to clean, sort, and add to your altar!

✴ Replace any altar items you no longer need or connect with
✴ Cleanse all of your tools and crystals you are keeping

✴ Collect any new crystals or tools you want to bring into your practice

✴ Decorate! Snowdrop flowers, Brigid’s Cross and/or Doll, sheep and wool decorations, swan or white feathers, white gold green yellow and pink candles are great, orange red and yellow ribbons to symbolize Brigid!

Spring Cleaning: this sabbat is the time to clean out every aspect of your life to allow space for new exciting things!

✴ Think about any relationships and situations that may have been causing you any negative feelings. Using either meditation, logical thinking, or divination, find if there is any way to fix problems within those things. If there is none, then it is time to say goodbye to those relationships or situations.

✴ Go through your home or room Marie Kondo style! At each item ask yourself “does this spark joy or have use to me?” If the answer is no, throw!

✴ Go through your phone and delete any messages, photos, contacts, or apps you no longer need or use.

✴ Use your preferred cleansing method to cleanse your home’s energy.

Spells: I will be adding my own once I organize my WHOLE spell book digitally….which might take a while.

✴ Imbolc Seed Spell (@thewitchystuff)

✴ Room Healing Spell (@offthegridblog)
✴ Imbolc Spell Jar ( @thewitchjournal)

✴ Imbolc Jar Spell - Self Planted Seeds (@whitecrowspirit)

✴ Imbolc Ritual (@apollostoadstool)

Recipes: for my wonderful kitchen witches out there and anyone who loves to use kitchen magick!

✴ Imbolc Tea (@tea-and-antlers)

✴ Imbolc Smoothie (@gardenfoxywitch)

✴ Imbolc Poppy Seed Tea-Bread (@herbwicc)

✴ Imbolc Leek and Potato Soup (@witch-of-the-dragon)

✴ Bonnach Bride (@mydevotionstodea)

Some fun Crafts and Activities

✴ Make a Brigid’s Cross

✴ Make a Brigid Doll!

✴ Imbolc Oil

✴ Imbolc Intention Candle

My Imbolc Shopping List links included in case you need any of the following!
✴ I am hoping to add a cauldron and an athame to my collection this Imbolc! These are the ones I’ve been eyeing: Cauldron, Athame 1, Athame 2

✴ I have been trying to find a bit of Garnet that I like, but the local stores I have do not carry any or I have not connected with them the way I would like to. I found this cool one on Etsy, but I feel as though my attraction to it is more visual than connective if that makes sense!

✴ HERBS! I have been running low on herbs for the past month…but I want to for sure get some Basil, Chamomile, and Cinnamon as those are the herbs I tend to use the most during holidays they correspond with!

✴ I have stocked up on lots of white candles of all shapes and sizes…but I always forget to buy any colored candles…haha. So for Imbolc that is changing! I will be getting orange, yellow, pink, green, and red taper candles from Hobby Lobby! Their candles are always cheap and they always have lots of online coupons to make your wallet even happier!

So babes, that’s about all I have for this post. If you have any questions or just want to chat, my Inbox and Ask are always open! I hope this helps anyone who happens on it. I will see you in my next post :)

My Etsy Idea...
Hey Babes! First off, happy 2020! So I mentioned in my introduction post a little about wanting to start a witchy Etsy. I know there are quite a few out there, but I have found browsing through it (especially the witchy mystery boxes!!) that I have quite a few ideas for my own Etsy! I’m doing a little list with descriptions of my ideas for that!
The Sabbat Boxes
So for this box I would do either a mystery box or a partial mysery box with a few selected items that come in every size and every box! Examples of items that could be included:

✴ 1 ounce bag(s) of herbs that correspond with the Sabbat

✴ Crystal(s) that correspond with the Sabbat

✴ Candle(s) in colors that correspond with the Sabbat

✴ Mini spell kits

✴ Any fun items I find that remind me of the Sabbat

✴ Craft kits for the Sabbat (like a kit for a Brigid’s cross)

✴ Incense for that Sabbat

✴ Other ideas or requests!
Intention Boxes
Mystery Option

✴ This listing would have a customization bar that asks for your intention and a few other questions to personalize your box! I would intuitively choose your items for your intention. It would come in different sizes!
Non Mystery Option

✴ lol I couldn’t think of a better title for this! But this listing would have different options and sizes. The options would be different intentions (love, growth, protection, etc) and each box of the same intention would come with the same items described in the product details! Different sizes would be given (more or less items).
Baby Witch Boxes
These boxes would come with items I feel every baby witch needs! You can add customization (I’ll ask a few questions to personalize your box to your craft) and tell me any items you especially need or really don’t want and I will do my best to curate the perfect box for you!
Crystal Boxes, Herb Boxes, Custom Boxes
These boxes would come with a set amount of crystals or herbs depending on size! There will also be a custom version of this listing where I will list what I have in stock and you can pick what you need or want! Possibly will do this with incense, but I don’t keep incense or buy it usually because my apartments don’t allow incense or smudge sticks!
Some Other Ideas
So I also do art! I would love to sell my art on Etsy! Possibly prints, stickers, buttons, etc. I would keep it to witchy/offbeat art! I would also love to sell sigils, custom made pendulums, and other handmade witchy items!
So there’s my big Etsy plan :) If you are interested in this, PLEASE reblog, like, and/or message me. If you have any items you want to see from me, I would LOVE suggestions and will do my best to add that to my future Etsy! Also, if you are interested in any of the above I would love to put some things together to get a good feel for how to do pricing, packaging, etc, Just message me with what you’d like to see and we can talk about how this would work. Thank you babes! I hope this is something you’d be interested in!

An Introduction!
Hello Witchblr! I am making this introduction post to my blog. I know this is going to be long from my written draft, so apologies in advance!
Some quick basics
✴Name: Dahlia (this is not my real name, as I am in the broom closet, but it starts with the same letter!)
✴Age: 18
✴Signs: Aquarius sun, Scorpio moon, Scorpio rising
How I started
I am in the broom closet and have been practicing on and off for around 2 years. I began practicing consistently again in September, and I feel that this blog will keep me invested and accountable for my practice. I hope to curate knowledge I felt I needed when I began (and even now while I’m restarting my craft) into one place. I also hope to start a witchy Etsy in the future! More on that to come.
My Beliefs
I identify as an Eclectic Wiccan. My beliefs are always evolving and changing, but these are the basics I have always held true:
✴Spirits/ghosts are real and we are always able to connect with those who have passed (with their permission and want, of course)
✴The Earth and her energy is what controls and influences everything in life
✴Magick is a real and powerful tool
✴The Threefold Law
✴The Wiccan Rede
As I continue to study and grow my practice, deities and their overall importance/image/functions have been one big part of Wicca I struggle with for a few reasons:
✴I feel that my worship of deities is less about the Gods/Goddesses as beings that exist(ed) and rather about them as embodiments of the Earthly elements they correspond with.
✴I continue to struggle with which deities (from different open practices) best represent my intentions and which ones I truly connect with.
Because this is a simple introductory post, I will be further explaining this ‘struggle’ with deities in another post!
What I have Knowledge In
✴Tarot and Pendulum divination
✴Spirit and Ancestor Magick
✴The Sabbats, how to practice them, and their histories
✴Spell writing and sigils
✴Herbal correspondences
✴Crystal correspondences and magick
✴Dream interpretation
✴Voodoo*
✴Empath/emotional coding
*Although I have done a lot of research into Voodoo and feel I have a good amount of basic knowledge, I will NOT be posting or answering questions about it because it is a closed practice.*
A Few Favorites!
✴Wicca by the beautiful Harmony Nice
✴Harmony Nice’s Youtube Channel- She has an AMAZING series on Wicca and Witchcraft, and all of her other videos are wonderful as well.
✴Samhain is my favorite Sabbat to celebrate!
✴Beetlejuice and Ratatouille are two of my favorite movies
✴OfMothandMoon’s Etsy- my all time favorite Etsy for curios and crystals!
✴Kurtis Conner, Jenna Marbles, and Bailey Sarian are my favorite youtubers
✴Amethyst and Obsidian are my favorite crystals
✴These beautiful tarot cards by Micah Ulrich
✴Killing Eve, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Resident are my favorite shows!
What I Will Be Posting
✴Spells I write
✴Sigils
✴Information about the topics I have knowledge in
✴Tips and Tricks for witches on a budget
✴Masterposts
✴reblogs of witchy stuff I find very helpful (not very often)
✴Things about my practice!
Wow, so that’s a pretty long introduction. But I hope it helps everyone get and idea of who I am and what you can expect to see from this blog! I can’t wait to start learning from everyone and I hope this blog help anyone who needs it!
