So I’ve been discussing with a friend of mine how Luke and Leia being twins is a bad or good thing. 

Rumour has it that it was placed in after Empire Strikes Back as a “cockblock” and a cheap way for Leia to be with Han. 

In my opinion, I think it’s a good thing. Vader was this evil man, and after Luke learned that he was his father, it would be hard to relate to people. Now that Leia is his twin sister, they can both go through that together and be there for each other as siblings. 

Oh, wait, now I remembered that there were hints that them being twins was in before Empire. 

There were hints when Yoda said to Obi Wan “there is another” after Luke leaves Dagobha. Plus, when Luke calls to Leia and Leia responds, giving hints Leia has power in the force too. 

Plus, without Leia being related to Darth Vader, where would Kylo Ren be? hehe
