🎶✨ when u get this u have to put 5 songs u actually listen to, and publish. then, send this ask/tag 10 of your favorite followers (non-negotiable, positivity is cool)✨🎶
Thanks for tagging me, @natolesims 💛 How am I supposed to pick only 5?! I have about 20 songs that I listen to almost every day, repeatedly (+ other songs that get lost between them) 🙄🙈
Paradise (feat. Dermot kennedy) - MEDUZA (In my region, Paradise is still on the radio. So when Mr. Husband and I drive somewhere, and this song comes on, he always shuts up. When I asked about this, he said - you don't seem to hear me when this song plays...🙈🤣)
Woke Up in Love -  Kygo, Gryffin, Calum Scott (TMI. Imagine you're in a labor ward on the busiest day, and the only thing you hear are people screaming and crying. Somehow this song silenced it all. Also, this is the first song I ever played to my nooboo, and she seems to like it more than any other song.)
Kuula, kuula - Dagö (I listen to most of Dagö's songs and have been a fan of their music for over half my life. Most of their songs have very complex lyrics, but this one is just a very beautiful and honest love song.)
The time to run (Finale) - Dexter Britain (I stumbled on this one a long time ago, I mean pre-Spotify and their curated artist radio era. It has been my phone's ringtone for the past 8 years.)
Rescue Me - James Gillespie (That sums it up well, only I have 1 song instead of a playlist 😂 ->

As always, feel free to ignore it because lately, I'm not sure who likes/wants to get tagged 🙃 @glammoose @zosa95 @idyllicephemera @oasivy @enchanting-whim @samssims @aurorangen @akitasimblr @bluehavensims @devotedsims

Neighbour to Livonia and Estonia, the island Swedish on Oesel, Dagö, Runö and Worms, talk as well of man-wolves, folkwargar, but claim that they can not be found among the Swedish. They have a special word for female werewolves - wargkelng (wolf-hag, old norse kerling, crone). Under Newe lived such a woman, who would roll around on the ground and rise as a wolf; then she would run into a herd, pick a fat sheep or a good lamb and drag it home to devour it. On the floor she had a wealth of sheep and ram hides. Once upon a time, her brother, who lives a couple hundred steps away from her, noticed a wolf carrying away a sheep, ran home to get his rifle, but failed to find the wolf again. Right after, he visited his sister and found the robbed sheep dead in her hands. Finally, she confessed her bad deed and promised to never do it again.

I really dislike myself, and I dislike the muffins I’ve made. And I don’t want to give them to anyone, not even to myself, I want to throw them all away. Waste a box of banana cake mix and so much chocolate. I hate how much I talk about things in my head that I couldn’t ever talk about with anyone else. I wish it would dissipate. I wish I had less to say. I wish I wasn’t socially awkward, and made people uncomfortable. I wish I wasn’t bad at the only three languages I care about. I wish I wouldn’t forget the words I’ve studied two days later yet remember some I’ve studied four months ago. I wish I can take away everyone else’s depression and harbour it because I feel I’m supposed to feel this sad. I no longer wish a psychiatrist cared about my issues to tackle it accordingly. I just want to get it over with and try copious amounts of medication to try and find the right one. I wish I didn’t want to give away my Dagö ticket to someone who understands the lyrics and loves Dagö more than I have the ability to do so because I don’t understand, and I don’t know, and me with my blue black and white coloured clothing and stupid curly hair will only be posing. I’ll feel out of place, both surreal and not belonging. I’d feel the need to hide anywhere, somewhere, other than be an obvious stupid little outlier not fitting in no matter what she does. Over dressed, so stupidly foreign.

Gunboat battle near Alvøen in Norway, 16 may 1808. HMS Tartar is trying to defend herself against Norwegian gunboats, by unknown artist
After the Danish-Norwegian fleet was lost in the second battle of Copenhagen in 1807, it tried to assert itself in the so-called Gunboat War (1807-1814) and to disturb the British in their trade.
On 15 May a British Frigate reaches the area of Stolmen west of Bergen. This frigate was the HMS Tartar 32- guns, looking for the Dutch frigate Guelderland a privateer. However, The Tartar sailed under Dutch flag and so the pilots and fishermen offered their help. She was captured on board and had to navigate the tartar safely through the waters to Bergen.
In the evening she was discovered and four canonjolles and one canonsjalupps were sent from Alvøen. Now you might think that a frigate with 32 guns would have been able to handle 5 cannon boats, but the boats are small and had good cannons on board. On 16 May the battle broke out, the small agile boats under the command of Christian August Bielke fought a strong battle with the Tartar, which was stuck in a dense fog in a calm, with the result that these 12 men lost, among them their Captain Bettesworth, some Midshipmen and sailors. The gunboats lost 5 men.
After a few hours the calm abated and the Tartar was able to escape in the dense fog. Bielke tried to come afterwards, but because of the fog he lost her track and drove back to Bergen. At first Bielke was accused of cowardice, but after Lieutenant General Hesselberg, who was commander-in-chief of Bergen and the surrounding area, explained exactly what had happened, and expressed himself most gratefully about Bielke, he was celebrated as a hero who had dared to attack a Frigate with only 5 gunboats. On the Tartar in November 1808 Captain Joseph Baker took command and successfully hunted Dutch privateers and gunboats in the Baltic Sea.
Tartar grounded on 18 August 1811 on Dagö Island off the coast of Estonia and sprang a leak. Her crew refloated but she continued to fill with water. She was run ashore on 21 August at Kahar Islet, midway between Dagö Island and the Isle of Worms, and later burnt. Ethalion rescued all her crew, who then were reassigned to other ships on the Baltic station. A court martial on 23 October honorably acquitted Captain Baker, his officers and crew.

18 Radio SG : April 2017 | Valmar Kass
1. Mike Oldfield feat. Maggie Reilly & Five Miles Out
It was many years ago, probably even deep into the Soviet era when by bro recorded this song from Finnish radio. We were only able to see Finnish TV but the radio was scrambled and out of our reach so the trick was to watch TV before the program started at 7 in the evening. Till then there was a test screen and they played radio. This gave us the op to occasionally get some fresh music.
2. Big Country & Fields of Fire
This is a band I purely discovered through scanning Finnish radio through our TV set. I managed to record some of their live events and eventually became a huge fan.
3. The KLF & 3 AM is Eternal
This is a song that thoroughly rocked my world. I was 18 and was hiding from Russian army recruiters. It was a very unstable times so we were hoping that perhaps if we prolong our recruitment we can actually escape it. It was 1990 and this gives you a hint what a mess Soviet Union was back then.
4. Massive Attack & Karmacoma
Relatively new find. Oh boy! This is so groovy that you can almost taste it. I think I should have discovered Massive Attack sooner but somehow I have missed it. I have heard so many times people talking about it. Nevertheless I find this very very refreshing.
5. Chemical Brothers & Hey Boy, Hey Girl
This was the soundtrack for one of my most wildest times of my personal and professional life. I was driving my boss’ Jeep Wrangler and this song was blasting out of the stereo and we drove to every major open air event in the summer and I got so much pussy that … sorry. Got a bit carried away. Either way the testosterone was driving most of my decisions.
6. Kwoon & I Lived on a Moon
Thank you, Spotify! This one I picked up from my discovery playlist from Spotify. So the algorithm works, i like it so much that I will include it in my list of songs. ;-) Also please check out the original video.
7. Paloma Faith & I Just Can't Rely on You
Incredible vocalist. Gooosh! I am in love with this woman! I like the emotion and the groove and the sheer power of her performance. There's no sentimental past with this one. I simply like her music … and look at those knees moving
If you still have doubts of her vocal abilities just listen to her Live from kitchen. She’s a woman I wouldn't mind yelling at me.   https://youtu.be/T6fMx9E41ug
8. Seasick Steve & John Paul Jones - Walking Man
Such a charmer and a brilliant performer. The guy is over 70 and still can pick up chicks like no other. This song is one of the melodic ones he does and I chose a live recording just to show you what a great act he has attached to the song.
9. AC⚡️DC & Thunderstruck
This is the band I grew up with. I had all their albums (bootlegged though) and new all their songs by heart. I picked this one because in my mind I think this is one of their best songs. I know, some people may pick a different one but the point is that it really doesn't matter. Angus Young who is a lead guitarist said once that all their songs are basically the same except they have different lyrics. And it is a live version because because of that is the only way AC DC makes sense.
10. Curly Strings & Kauges Külas (Distant Village)
This song is a true modern classic. Like every Christmas we keep seeing these movies like Love Actually, Die Hard and Home Alone this song in the radio is the sign that the dark winter is over, its finally spring and the summer is just around the corner. It tells a story about a young city girl who finds herself living in the country side with her grandparents
One of the things that Estonians are obsessed with is to get a decent tan when the summer finally starts. We know, its ridicules. So there is a line in the lyrics which says something like ‘I'm running to the beach so that I can get a decent tan by the 2nd of June when there is a party at the neighbouring village'. Just to show you how subtle and sick the Estonian sense of humour is (and self irony for that matter) I am going to add a video of the same song performed by Estonian Symphony Orchestra, the conductor is a Grammy winning conductor Tõnu Kaljuste and the song is performed during the 2016 New Year Concert at Estonia Kontserdisaal which is equal to Royal Albert Hall in London.
The song is performed by a British opera singer Peter Brathwaite: https://youtu.be/ZlEsAJENyG8  PS: Some of the audience members could not handle it right from the beginning but at 0:47 you can see the audience's reaction when the line is delivered.
11. Dagö - Tuuletallajad
Yet another Estonian. They have very good lyrics - very poetic and full of different ways of interpretation. Also they have very strong influences from our folk songs.  The lyrics of this song are very cryptic but I will include another one. This one is called Isaga Draakonil (Flying on Dragons with my Dad). The chorus of this song is below:   A beautiful garden I find Where I meet my longing A spacious garden and a vineyard The Moon sends me towards the night On a bed as wide I dream and see Riding Dragons with my dad The wind tares the crowns from our heads We couldn’t care less, we’re still kings As the Dragons fly on full sails Our Ebony Dragons Their mood's through the roofAs we treat them with sugar We laugh We fly Over the waves Me and my dad and the Dragons
12. Pink Floyd / David Gilmore - Comfortably Numb
I cannot ignore this one because he is an amazing musician and one of the greatest guitarists in the world. This song features a hair rising guitar solo which has been voted the 5th guitar solo of all times. Since he is performing the song together with David Bowie I find this particular one absolutely incredible. Enjoy!

Kindergarten and Community Center in Tammiste, Estonia

Kindergarten and Community Center in Tammiste
24 May 2022
Kindergarten and Community Center in Tammiste Building
Design: RMJM Milano Architects
Location: Tammiste, Tori Parish, Pärnu County, southwestern Estonia
Kindergarten and Community Center Building in Tammiste
RMJM Milano designed a scenic Kindergarten and Community Center in the south-west of Estonia.
The project is inspired by the naturally formed landmass called ‘drumlin’ and its widespread presence in Estonia. The site is located in Tammiste, a village in Tori Parish, Pärnu County in south-western Estonia and it was used to build a drumlin, which was subsequently covered in flora to fit in with the surrounding scenery. The green roof reduces ambient temperatures, regulates indoor temperature levels and purifies the air. Spaces were carved out for functionality and to emulate nature by following harmonious flowing forms.
The new design proposes an engaged and adaptable space for Tammiste with a multitude of function including a primary school, library, sports hall and a stadium for over 2000 guests. The design responds to numerous scenarios and provides much more than just the required infrastructure.
“In a world full of chaos & noises, we wanted to design in silence a place for people” – Luca Aldrighi | Director
The project is easily accessible with two entrances on-site, 90 parking spaces, and 30 bicycle stands. In addition to the walkway canopy and the buildings, the roof will host 1000kw of solar panels, which will result in a net-zero building with a lower carbon footprint. The PV panels will provide shading, and the performance of the solar modules will increase by 0.4% during the winter months.
“Our design challenges the set notions about the kindergarten typology” – Abhinav Goel | Associate
The design incorporates the use of local materials and the recycling construction waste generated from demolition, which are integral to the design. Reinforced concrete and steel are used as structural elements without the need for expensive outsourced equipment.
