A motivational story of Anoop Khanna is a social worker who feeds aproximately 500 people every day under his drive, “Dadi Ki Rasoi”. The thought behind the kitchen was of Anoop’s daughter Sakshi Khanna. He contributed Rs 30,000 for the arrangement. Anoop Khanna additionally began accepting donation from other similar minded people as well.

Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka, thorough his foundation Ample Missiion, presents The Shoorveer Awards 2018 which is being organized for the 4th consecutive year. The Shoorveer Awards is a unique initiative that honours common men and women who have achieved uncommon goals, from across the country. It honours brave-hearted individuals who have known no fear and have persuaded extraordinary acts of bravery, often at the expense of their own lives! The event held at the Bombay Stock Exchange, was attended by a bevy of celebrities from the corporate world, film and the television industry, and the social field. Besides, hosts Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka and Siddhant Murarka, mention may be made of Roop Kumar Rathod and Sunali Rathod, Padmini Kolhapure, Kashi Murarka, Mickey Mehta, Ashish Shelar, Vinod Shelar, Shaina NC, designer Sangeeta Murarka, Vastu & Numerologist Basannt R Rasiwasia, Sooraj Thapar, Akashdeep Saigal, Audiologist-Speech Therapist Devangi Dalal, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha, Yogesh Lakhani, Ashok Lokhande, Krishna Bharadwaj, VIP, Writer-Director Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, Aarti Nagpal, Jiten Lalwani among many others. The award ceremony was also marked by live performances by singers Meghna Mishra (of Secret Superstar) and Aaman Trikha among others. The awards also saw a ramp walk by transgender women, signifying gender equality.

ANOOP KHANNA
��DadikiRasoi’ in Noida sector 29 has gained immense popularity overtime. 'DadikiRasoi' is an initiative that was started by Anoop Khanna (social activist). It aims at providing quality food to poor and needy people at just Rs 5. DadikiRasoi serves food to more than 500 people per day, which is simply amazing.
REKHA MISHRA
Rekha Mishra's daring exploits to save children, often battling great odds, feature in the Maharashtra State Board's Class 10 textbook this year. The woman is RPF Sub-Inspector Rekha Mishra, 32, posted with the Central Railway. She is credited with rescuing hundreds of destitute, missing, kidnapped or runaway children from various railway stations on the network in the past few years. Currently posted at the famed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). She has helped 953 children till date.      
INSIA DARIWALA
Insia Dariwala is an award-winning international filmmaker and one of the founder members of Sahiyo, an organization against FGM. Insia Dariwala, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, creates awareness to help similar victims through her films and her organisation, which address difficult issues of women and children. Her award winning debut film ‘The Candy Man’, followed by another hard-hitting film ‘Cock-Tale’, delved into topics like child sexual abuse, and sexual violence on omen. Insia also started ‘The Hands of Hope Foundation’, which diligently focuses on sexual violence on women & children.
AAREFA JOHARI
Aarefa Johari is a journalist and an anti-FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) activist based in Mumbai. She began her career with a four year stint as a reporter for the Hindustan Times. For the past three years, she has been working at Scroll.in, an online news publication. Ms Johari is also a co-founder of Sahiyo along with Insia Dariwala, a non-profit organisation working to end female genital mutilation among the Dawoodi Bohra and other South-Asian communities.
SAUMYA CHANDRA & NAGESH AHIR
While most children their age would panic in the face of an emergency, they remained calm. When their friend fell into a deep water tank, they rushed to help him. Having learnt disaster management, they caught onto his collar and saved his life. We salute their bravery and quick thinking.
MAJOR D. P. SINGH
Major D P Singh – India’s First Blade Runner who was once blown apart by a mortar on the Kargil battlefield! The army surgeon declared him dead on arrival after being blown by a mortar bomb and sent his wrecked body to a makeshift mortuary. But 25-year-old Major Singh was not ready to die. The story of how he wins over death sounds incredible when you see him today, full of vitality. Today, at 39, the Indian Blade Runner has run close to 20 marathons. He is also a motivational speaker, inspiring amputees across India. He manages a support group called The Challenging Ones.
AAMAN TRIKHA
For someone who was qualified enough to pursue a career in engineering, life could have been a lot easier, but he chose a rather unusual route. Aaman Trikha is the voice behind popular BJP anthem 'Achchhey Din Aane Wale Hain', which became quite a hit during the run-up to the Lok Sabha Elections of 2014. Aaman’s father studied Urdu from Jamia Milia Islamia University, the same place where Shah Rukh Khan did his Mass Media course. When Aaman embarked on a singing career, his father told him he has to sing for SRK one day. He fulfilled his father’s dream when the actor sang the song ‘Butterfly’ for King Khan himself in the film, ‘When Harry Met Sejal’.
RAJAN KUMAR
Rajan Kumar is an Indian actor, born and brought up in Munger, Bihar, India. He is the first Indian actor who has been portraying British actor and first Hollywood comedian Charlie Chaplin for as maximum as about 12000 hours in 4000 shows in India and abroad for which he got many awards and accolades such as Guinness and Limca Books of World Records and shone to fame as Charlie Chaplin–II.
DR. HABIB Z SHAIKH
In one of the densely populated slums, Dr Habib Z Shaikh has been serving the poor patients without charging them any fee since the last 20 yrs. The doors of his Kamili Clinic is open 24x7 to the sick and needy slum dwellers of Hari Nagar in the western suburbs of Mumbai. He is a household name there and his patients get the best treatment possible from the experienced hands of this Doctor who is nothing less than a Messiah for them. He is an unsung hero who shies away from any media glare, leading by example and being true to his profession.
SALMA MEMON
Salma Memon, indeed is no ordinary girl but is truly, ‘UMEED - A ray of hope for a better tomorrow'. Every step from childhood was challenging for Salma. Her journey motivated her to take up education of underprivileged children as a cause. Her passion and hard-work took its roots two years ago when she launched her dream initiative "Project UMEED" which supports education of underprivileged and orphan children.
ANNASAHEB JADHAV
Annasaheb Jadhav is a young Deputy Superintendent of Police was posted few years back in the Naxalite prone area of Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. During his tenure, he performed his duties with bravery par excellence. That is not all. He set up a library for the poor & underprivileged students, counselling centre for educational guidance and various other activities to help their economic growth. This year, they have come together again to help 250 students of Gadchiroli with school stationary. He is selected for the President Medal this Independence Day honors.
SUBARNA GHOSH
Delivering a baby through a C-section without any medical emergency is a norm these days, still nobody raises any questions. Today we have a voice who is questioning this practice, reflecting the collective agony of so many women tricked in to undergoing unnecessary surgery. This is the voice of Subarna Ghosh, who has filed a petition through change.org (which received 1.5 lakh signatures till date) to urge hospitals to declare the number of C-sections conducted. Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi has supported this petition urging the health ministry to make necessary policy changes to curb C-sections in the country.
DR. SATENDRA SINGH
Dr. Satendra Singh is a medical doctor at the University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, Delhi. A physiologist by profession, he contracted poliomyelitis at the age of 9 months but went on to complete MBBS, MD Physiology. He is the first ever Indian to win the prestigious Henry Viscardi Achievement Awards given to extraordinary leaders in global disability community. He is a noted disability activist especially for his sustained efforts in making public places accessible for disabled persons.
MEGHNA MISHRA
The path for a young achiever could be strewn with numerous difficulties, but the right approach is the key to success. Singing Sensation Meghna Mishra discovered by Actor Aamir Khan and Music Director Amit Trivedi, may have achieved huge success, at 16 and she’s a star already. She is the voice for actress Zaira Wasim's and won the Filmfare for Best Female Playback Singer for her song Nachdi Phira in Secret Superstar, but the teenager from Mumbai is determined to not allow success go into her head and ensure she keeps her feet firmly on the ground.
SHAMS ALAM
Mohammad Shams Alam Shaikh, a mechanical engineer by profession, was also a passionate black belt karate player. But life had different plans for him.After getting diagnosed with spine tumour and undergoing multiple operations in 2010, Shams was left paraplegic. But he didn’t give up, Shams took to swimming and won bronze in the 12th Para Swimming Championship in Chennai. He won four gold medals at the championship that was held in Indore and was also awarded a trophy for best swimmer. Shams is the first Indian to have successfully finished 6 km of open sea swimming organised by the Indian Navy.
NAGRAJ GOWDA
Nagraj Gowda always dreamed of setting an example for others, and wondered how to do it. Since he had a passion for cycling, he hit upon the idea to go on a Solo Cycling expedition across India with social message for people. There were many issues he strongly believed and wanted to advocate it to the masses. Nagraj Gowda a resident of Mumbai started his all India Cycle Yatra on December 3, 2017 to spread the message of World Peace, Communal Harmony, National Integration, Save Water etc. So far he had peddled over 6000 kms. He aims to accomplish this extraordinary feat and hopes to get an endorsement in the Record books.

Famous Personalities Of India Like Anoop Khanna
Happiness is feeling the blessings of the people and god for the things you have done in your life. Many social workers always follow their hearts and go beyond their capabilities to achieve real insights into success. One such name known to everyone is Anoop Khanna, who is serving humanity through affordable food at his 'Dadi Ki Rasoi' or “The Grandmother’s Kitchens” roadside shop irrespective of caste, religion, and status.

 Anoop Khanna was born and brought up in a family of freedom fighters in Moradabad. Anoop was very much involved in social issues since childhood, owing to his father's ability to stand during the freedom movement. He used to provide any possible help to all needy and poverty-stricken people and work for their upliftment. Apart from taking an interest in social issues, he was very good at sports like karate, badminton, and table tennis. He also holds the trophy of the Uttar Pradesh table tennis championship in the year 1975-76. However, he had to shift to Noida in 1984 due to some unexpected household situations. He worked hard and run into the pharmacy retail business, and it was during this time, he was married and blessed with two beautiful children. His dedication and honesty made him a successful businessman who presently owns four pharmacy retail outlets in Noida.
 The story of 'Dadi Ki Rasoi' is heart-touching and shows that humanity is still alive in the heart of people. Once Anoop's mother was ill, not able to swallow food, and at that moment, she told her son to provide the meal for her to someone needier. Anoop's family was so much touched by these words that his daughter Sakshi Khanna convinced him to give quality food to hungry and needy people. He started feeding poor people at his home on his birthday that is August 21, 2015, and called this initiative as 'Dadi Ki Rasoi'. Initially, his family started feeding about 15-20 people, and as time passes by, many people lend their hands to provide affordable and quality food to maximum people. With the help of various individuals and dedication to take this initiative to a higher level, he opened two roadside shops at sector 29 and 17 in Noida. He is presently charging a voluntary amount of Rs 5 per plate and feeding more than 500 hungry souls every day to get their blessings.
 People like Anoop are the real treasures of our society who are making a better society to live, keeping aside the chains of caste, creed, race, religion, and language. Starting from taking inspiration from his mother to keeping it alive for so many years is his real achievement. Our society needs more people like him so that no one goes to sleep without getting proper food.
