Was thinking the other about how utterly delicious Ian looked in nothing but that orange towel in s11. To me it's insane how Mickey was more interested in his gun, than in his super hot beefy husband 🤔 So I wrote this little short.....(smut ahead).....

"What are you doing?"

Mickey looked up from the bed; where he had been cleaning his gun, drawn by Ian's irritated voice. He was prepared for an argument, recognising that resigned but nagging tone, that he had long grown used to. But he was caught off guard. Mickey's mouth itched to blurt out some snappy and witty retort but instead it was salivating. His husband stood there, pale skin still wet from his shower, with only a towel covering him from the waist down.

Mickey was aware that Ian had secretly become a little self-conscious lately due to the extra pounds he was carrying. The couple had become lazy and comfortable post marriage, spending far too much time eating take-out on the couch. And the only form of exercise they engaged in was enthusiastic regular sex, not that Mickey was complaining.

"Asked you a question, Mick," Ian repeated, with a long sigh, as he ran his fingers through his damp hair.

Mickey set the gun aside and smirked, biting his lip in a way he knew Ian couldnt resist, as he shuffled forward on his knees.

"Maybe I don't feel like talking right now".

Ian's mouth opened but quickly closed again, when Mickey yanked the towel away. Catching Ian's eye he grinned, as he trailed his fingers down his sides and then across his stomach. To him it was as sexy as ever, with that added roundness, extra flesh that he could grab onto or sink his teeth into.

His hands drifted around the back, grasping Ian's cheeks and pulling a low gasp from his lips.

"Mick," Ian murmured; his green eyes never leaving his face, "You trying to distract me with sex again to avoid an argument?"

Mickey chuckled darkly, as he licked a long stripe up his stomach, towards his chest, before tugging one of his nipples into his mouth. He took it between his teeth, nipping it gently, relishing the broken moan that Ian let out.

He continued to nip at his skin; trailing back down until he found that beautiful stomach again, playfully biting at his sides and front, before alternating with licks and kisses.

"Fuck, this is so sexy," he whispered, peering up at Ian who watched him intently, his green eyes wide and dark with lust.

"Love you with a bit of meat on your bones Gallagher," he teased, as he massaged his cheeks and pulled him in closer, "Got more to hold onto".

He smirked up at him before greedily swallowing him down, Ian's throbbing cock hitting the back of his throat. Ian bucked and hissed as Mickey sucked him hard and deep, moaning around him, totally lost in his sexy as fuck husband.

Truth was, Mickey was gone on him since they were kids and had always considered him the hottest guy alive. Even when he was a skinny lost kid, even when he was manic or high or dancing for other men. It wasn't just his body that had reeled him in, Mickey knew that what they had ran much deeper than that.

But now, fuck, he had never been so attracted to him, so easily turned on, so aroused at the mere sight of him. The goofy annoying kid he fell for had grown into a strong, powerful man. He hadn't just grown up but had grown out, into those broad shoulders and firm muscular back, with those meaty thighs and juicy abs.

Mickey groaned as another favourite body part of Ian's got to work. His big hands gripped his hair, forcing him down, as he thrust carefully; in and out. His husband grunted and cursed, rapidly starting to unravel.

Mickey's nails dug into his fleshy cheeks, swallowing everything he could until Ian gasped and held himself inside.

"Oh fuck baby," he groaned as he started to pulse, "Mick...."

Mickey's eyes fluttered closed and he released a muffled moan, as Ian coated his throat in warmth. A moment later, Ian pulled out but caressed his cheeks, hazily staring down at him. Mickey grinned and nipped at his stomach teasingly, squeezing his sides, before dragging his messy mouth back up.

Ian continued to pant, his chest rising and falling harshly before he shoved Mickey backwards onto the bed. His lips crashed against his, taking his breath away as they kissed possessively and eagerly.

"Fuck, you're a menace," Ian whispered against his neck, which he lavished with attention.

Mickey grinned lazily and lay back, happy to let Ian take control and return the favour. Feeling rather smug that this man was his, his husband, his partner, his everything.

"You know, when we're done here, we're having that discussion," Ian smirked, as his skilled mouth made its way south.

"Yeah yeah...less talking, more sucking tough guy".

Ian was surprised when their son said he was interested in ROTC. He never showed any real interest before. But Ian thinks maybe seeing his dad in his old school yearbook probably prompted it. “I wanna look like Daddy,” he announces, pointing to the picture of a short haired Ian.

Ian nearly laughs when Mickey realizes nearly all the curls would be gone. “Nope,” Mickey says, rather protectively. “Putting my foot down,” he says. “Chuck Norris will not be partaking. Besides, don’t drastic changes freak him out?”

Ian shakes his head. “Let him try. You can’t shelter him forever, Mick.”

Drabble - "Undeserved Grace"

For the @galladrabbles prompt "comfort" (thank you @mikhailoisbaby), I offer "Undeserved Grace."

Ian was honor-bound to those who didn't deserve his grace. In my head, that included his bio-Dad, Clayton Gallagher. I've always imagined that Ian would show up for his bio-Dad's funeral even after a lifetime of not knowing the man or being a part of his life. That's just who Ian was and Mickey would've understood that I think.

The cavernous yet suffocating room heightens Ian’s unease. 

He flinches through another stranger’s sympathetic embrace, accepting comfort for something he doesn’t feel. He’s an imposter. Clayton Gallagher’s unwanted son feigning heartbreak. 

The touch he needs finally arrives with Mickey’s permission to run. 

“C’mon, Ian. You’ve had enough.”

Inside the quiet of their car, Ian rests his head on Mickey’s shoulder, worried he’s damaged somehow. His numbness is broken by his husband's gentle fingers carding through his hair.

“It’s okay not to cry, baby,” Mickey murmurs. 

Freed, Ian grieves silently. Not for his fatherless state, but for what could have been.

I’m back with more brain rot but I was thinking about GallavichDads today and while I could basically write a fic about Yev coming back into their lives, I also love the comedic potential of them winding up with a BUNCH of kids in true Shameless fashion like imagine-

Ian goes on a trip somewhere without Mickey (visiting Fiona? Helping Lip move? Going to pick Debbie and Franny up in Texas? Who knows) and while he’s gone suddenly word’s gotten around to the rest of the Milkoviches that Mickey and his husband are looking for a kid (I’m gonna either say Sandy does it or Mickey’s relative that’s platonically married to another dude bc I need to see Ian’s face when Mickey explains why Terry was ok with that but not them, the scrunch would be in full force) ANYWAYS

Ian gets back and Mick meets him at the door with a squealing baby, just shoves it in his arms because there’s a toddler trying to climb the counter and a couple of five year olds running laps around the tv and Mickey stomps off “to take a piss in peace for five fucking minutes!” bc suddenly every neglected Milkovich has been left on their doorstep and Mickey’s been dealing with it for two days straight. Who’s are they? Colin’s maybe, and Tony’s, and the little one looks like Joey but whoever left it just knocked on the door and ran “like a fucking coward!”

((Does this tie-in with them running the Alibi? Maybe! Do they wind up buying the Gallaghers house from Lip since they can’t have four kids under age six in a one bedroom apartment? Also maybe!)

I just love the idea of them going from ‘maybe one baby’ to ‘the goddamn Brady bunch’ in zero seconds, purely for the comedy. 🦖

Them moving back to the Gallagher house (hopefully after Lip renovated it) is so sweet! Maybe they turned the basement to their bedroom? to get a bigger room with privacy from the kids...

How is Yevgeny fitting in all of this? Is he also under the gallagher-milkovich house of kids? Is he helping them take care of the kids? Do Yevgeny and Liam become friends (they should be around the same age, right? or like 2 years apart?)

i completely understand the sentiment about this scene and i have to say i agree that s11 was basically the writers saying fuck you to everything they’ve done for all the characters in the show. this is also why i legit do not consider s11 as canon much— like, the bits that i think are still in character are #canonapproved by yours truly. the others? hell nah.

but anyways, if we try to ‘analyse’ the scene to make it make sense— i think that ian was worried about mickey crying and suffering but he did not want mickey to feel like that cause of terry.

when mickey sees crippled!terry ian goes to mickey and asks him if they should help him out ( which mickey says no to with hurt in his voice ) he also checks on him asking if he’s okay and stares back at him once he doesn’t answer

he’s worried about mickey cause he knows mickey is conflicted.

mickey tells him about the things he would do now that terry isn’t able to hurt them anymore and ian expresses how he wouldn’t want that for anyone (not even frank). cause we know that ian is all about trying to be the bigger person and not letting hate win over.

i didn’t like how he had to do the whole ‘my father is shittier than yours’ but i suppose it was a way for him to reassure mickey that he’s not the only one who has abusive parents? like a failed way to remind him he understands mickey’s struggles etc.

then mickey tries to kill terry and ian gets in the way to stop him, terry calls them faggot and ian tells terry to shut the fuck up (still looking at mickey) and telling him that he’s not worth it and to think about it

cause

1. no matter what, killing your father isn’t going to leave you with no trauma, especially knowing mickey spent so much trying to make him proud

2. mickey killing someone wouldn’t really be the best thing, the whole prison thing and just in general.

they go home to take a break and ian distracts him by focusing mickey’s attention to himself & when mickey helps terry getting in the house he asks if he can help

which imo is really important for ian to ask, cause mickey takes a second to consider it and then his features softens and nod for him to help.

ian actually tells mickey what he did was big of him and comfort him in making sure he knows he’s so much better than terry, he turns him around holding his neck whilst looking at him making sure mickey actually understands that he really means it

i think this was ian trying to make sure mickey will never try to see himself as his father like he used to in the past— just like ian was afraid to be monica because of their shared disorder, ian knows how it feels like and wants it to be clear that’s not the case. cause ian managed to move on from those thoughts and made peace with his mum whilst mickey is ‘still’ stuck and terry has still power over him. (especially if we consider how in s10 mickey kept helping his father with his business and asked him for help when it came to protecting ian + the way he went insane at terry trying to ruin the wedding. the whole ‘the son of a bitch will never let me be happy.’ )

it surely wasn’t easy for mickey to see terry being just abandoned at the door with his own crap hanging from his stomach, cause despite his hate there’s still the need to show him that hes better, he will never be terry and all the abuse didn’t stop him from living. (plus mickey is all about family as we know) also seeing the person that you feared the most for being murderous and strong— just sitting there being weak and pathetic, it really fucks you up.

i think that what made him snap and cry at his death was when he fed him and terry confessed that mickey would have been a decent son to him if he wasn’t gay.

imagine being told what you secretly knew all this time but had not being told out loud. that the person you wanted to make proud and looked up to would have loved you if you weren’t gay. i feel like mickey thought that this was his second chance to have a proper relationship with terry cause he’s not going to hurt him anymore and he was probably starting to appreciate the fact mickey stuck around to help him out.

and ian knows it all and he hates that terry has that power over mickey. it’s like terry had a way of still hunting him despite being dead for good. for what we know cameron said that ian actually told him that he ‘hate seeing you like this’ when mickey cried but it got cut.

he did fail but he tried to make mickey understand that terry wasn’t worth any of it, reminding mickey that he hated them both. he kind of acted like that in s3 before the wedding, he got angry at mickey saying that terry is insane and that he shouldn’t let him ruin mickey’s life and it stressed him out that mickey couldn’t ‘see it’ ( or admit it )

despite that and the fact that ian really needs to work on how to approach these issues, he still did everything to help mickey close that chapter. he went downstairs to get him coffee so mickey wouldn’t have to see the others whilst feeling so vulnerable, he went with him to check terry belongings and even tho he wasn’t really confident it was a good idea— he still went all the way with him to meet rachel, to get a ‘proper’ funeral for terry and then find him to have a proper ‘goodbye’ (he also helped by finding all those nurses when he was alive)

mickey tells him he wanted to say so many things to terry but he never got the chance and ian looks at him like that asking him what he wanted to say

and that’s it, cause ian knows this is the end and that terry won’t bother them anymore but it’s gonna take time to move on from it cause he didn’t get to confront him like he wanted now that he could have.

i know the whole singing is seen as cheesy as fuck ( which it is ) but i liked it cause ian didn’t want to let mickey dwell on it too much and its like— he mocks terry by saying he would have liked that & proceeds to sing these lyrics that fit mickey’s relationship to him.

how he thought his father was everything to him but he grew strong and learnt to let it go. also ian sings louder on ‘grew strong’ smiling and holding mickey as a way to say ‘this is you, you’re stronger, he didn’t win’

but there’s still work to do and ian realises that when mickey doubts himself thinking he won’t be a good father by doing what terry did to him. for example if you think how in the funeral episode he smiled whilst remembering how they “played” together to then realised it was fucked up. terry still has influence over mickey and in a way it’s still making it hard on the couple. but ian knows he’s not like his father he has seen it and wants mickey to stop doubting himself. the way he says ‘you won’t.’ with such confidence & tone that says how he won’t accept any self-bashing on the topic.

so long story short : season s10/11 wanted to be funny and we were used on shameless being more than decent at showing serious moments. so it’s completely normal not to be okay with how they handle things in those two seasons but i feel like we need to try and see what they tried to show even if it’s in a ‘comical’ way. cause if we ‘dig’ into it then there’s some sort of .. meaning? i think, i don’t know 😬 i wanted to make a quick comment on this but dear lord do i know how to shut up?

I think one of the main parts of why I don't like season 11 is cause of the way Ian acts after Terry died (honestly how they handled it as a whole). Why did they give us ZERO sweet scenes with them ??

I defend Ian a lot about how he acts after 3s ep6 and I feel like this is kinda a similar situation? Not completely the same. Mickey is clearly upset and vulnerable and Ian laughs. Ian goes through so much emotional growth in between s3 and 11 and they still make him act like that?? His husband is literally crying and he just looks at him like a fucking freak. mickey even being able to cry is already such a big thing but infront of Ian is a whole different step forward. The writers love taking serious situations with gallavich and turning them into bad attempts at humour. LET THEM LOVE EACHOTHER

And ur telling me we don't see mickey interact with any of his siblings about Terry dying. I wanted a Monica type celebration. I want to see them playing drinking games about all the bad shit Terry's done to them. Give me an old welcome banner where the word home has been crossed out and replaced with hell. The fact they don't even mention mandy is a FUCKING CRIME.
