Stxeli: The stranger
Hellooooooooooo everyone! this is a new chapter to the stxeli series! Hope you all enjoy~!!
Stxeli series
------------
As growing up, stxeli was told to watch out for “fakers” or “dream walkers” as her clan would call them. Demons walking through the forest, using ugly and fake skins that are supposed to look like na’vi. That they are not to be trusted, they carry metal weapons that can tear the flesh apart and are unable to mend wounds.
That was how her bigger sister was killed.
The fake na’vi would not hesitate to take a life, and do not care for nature, the wild life. Do not care for Eywa. Such a disrespect!
Stxeli has never seen one before and already she hates them. Her family never lets her wander far into the forest, in fear she would cross paths with them. Stxeli didn't had to.
A dream walker walked right into the territory.
Hearing chants, warning hisses, loud noises, it was hard for stxeli to ignore. Up at her little nook in the home tree, she can see many warriors dragging something in the middle of the gathering. Neytiri and Tsu'tey were there as well. Seems they brought something along. A na’vi wearing the strangest clothes she has ever seen.
Whatever was going on, stxeli climbed down to see.
As she does, getting closer to the ground, seeing the na’vi that seemed to be the center of attention. Stxeli gasped loudly.
IT WAS UGLY!
Mo’at heard a loud gasp and turned to see her younger daughter who was staring at the dreamwalker. Quickly she walks over, “ma’ite, what are you doing here? Go to your nook” she says while gently pushing stxeli to go back up.
But stxeli, inheriting her sister’s and fathers stubbornness, wanted to see.
“Please sa’nu? I promise I won't cause trouble” stxeli asks while making a cute pouty face. Sighing in defeat, mo’at gives in. She really cannot deny her cute baby.
Eytukan sees his youngest daughter and gestures to her to stand behind tsu’tey to which stxeli does. Holding his hand, stxeli stands behind him to blend in with the others.
Taking a closer look at the dream walker, he was the most hideous thing she has ever seen in her entire life. His eyes are small, his nose is too wide, why does he have hair on top of his eyes? How can he braid them? His freckles are a messy pattern and she can tell he REEKS of sweat.
Do dream walkers not clean themselves?
How disgusting. And ugly. Her family was right, the dream walkers are demons in fake skin.
Jake walks towards what clearly seems to be the leaders of the na’vi. An elder na’vi walks closer to greet the young female who saved his life. Greeting him in her language. The elder walks closer to him, giving a look of disgust.
Jake can only smile and nod as his form of greeting.
He speaks to the young female, raising his voice to prove a point, then speaks softly. Saying something that made the na’vi chuckle in humor.
“What is he saying?” Jake finally asks, not liking the situation he is in.
“My father is deciding whether to kill you” the female na’vi responds nonchalantly.
Jake blinked a few times, muttering the word ‘father’ under his breath. Without even thinking, he moves forward, extending his hand to greet the elder na’vi. “Nice to meet you sir” he says with a grin. The na’vi were quick to surround him, preventing from getting any closer to the elder. The female pushed him back.
A booming voice was hard, another elder na’vi came forth. The crowd cleared a path for another female na’vi. Her head piece and clothing gives off that she too is a leader. Someone of higher position.
“That is mother, she is tsahik. The one who interprets the will of Eywa” the female tells jake.
“Who is Eywa?” he asks, genuinely curious.
Can this demon be any more skxawng? What an utter embarrassment. And in front of the whole clan he asks that!
“Does he even have a brain in that weird head of his?” stxeli whispers to tsu’tey. The warrior lightly chuckles as he gently pats her head. Listening well to what is going on.
“Perhaps not,” he whispers back.
Stxeli gives an unimpressed hum.
She continues to watch as her mother interrogates the demon, asking his name and reason to be here. To their home.
“To learn” the dream walker says.
Many scoff at that, little stxeli was no different.
As her mother and the dream walker continue to talk, asking what he is, a warrior the alien replies. A warrior from a clan with an equally stupid sounding name.
This however triggers tsu’tey, gently he pushes stxeli back, telling mo’at that the alien warrior must be killed.
Quickly stxeli huddles over to her father who was quick to hide her from behind. Using his words of not killing the demon, that they can learn from him instead. Many seemed to agree, but little stxeli was curious on why her father would let the demon live.
If anything, she agrees with tsu’tey in killing the alien, he would cause nothing but trouble.
Her mother walks over to her elder sister, telling her she will teach this jake suli. Teach him their ways and speaking. Something neytiri clearly does not enjoy.
Stxeli couldn't help but giggle.
To be fair, tstumke did bring this upon herself.
Jake heard a childish giggle among the crowd, but before his eyes could wonder where it came from, mo’at came towards him once more.
“It is decided, my daughter will teach you our ways. Learn well, Jake Suli. Then we will see if your insanity can be cured” the tsahik says as her eyes pierces deep into his soul. Unable to look anywhere else, Jake looks down instead, nodding in agreement.
The crowd disbands as mo’at’s daughter takes him further up the tree but not before passing by her father.
It was a quick look, very quick. Perhaps he was exhausted from all the running, maybe the adrenaline is still there. Or maybe he really is losing his mind, but Jake could have sworn for a quick moment.
A little human girl was right behind the leader.
“Sa’nu, what makes you think that ugly alien will learn our ways?” stxeli says as she is happily snuggles between her parents while enjoying the communal dinner.
Mo’at lets out a small chuckle, gently patting her baby’s head.
“Eywa wills it” was all she said.
Stxeli nodded and didn't ask further. If Eywa wills it, then it shall be.
“Here they come,” tsu’tey says, looking over at neytiri and jake coming closer.
How jake was walking, accidentally stepping on many tails looked very funny to stxeli. She couldn't help but let out a fit of giggles.
The demon may be ugly but at least he was humorous.
Again Jake heard that giggle, and was a bit louder this time. And again he couldn't pinpoint where it was.
Neytiri greets her family and sits down, Jake following her moves as he too sits down beside her.
Looking at the very interesting choice of food, he takes tiny bites. The taste wasn't so bad, especially the teylu.
Neytiri was speaking in na’vi to tsu’tey, handing him something from her little bag. Jake looks at her actions. It was a fruit that Jake remembers eating back at the base. He forgot the name but he knew it started with the letter Y.
“Yovo!” a little voice was heard.
Looking over at the clan leaders, two small arms reached out. But there were no blue na’vi arms. No, they were the arms of a human. Flesh of a human with 5 fingers on each side. Reaching out for the fruit in excitement.
Tsu’tey chuckles and hands it to the child. Jake leaned a bit to get a good look at the human child. Confusion clearly filled his mind. Just what is going on?
Neytiri turned to look at him, her smile faded quickly before shoving his face to look down. Releasing a hiss, she whispers into his ear, “look at her and I promise you it will be the last thing you will see with those pathetic eyes of yours”
Not wanting to cross the line, Jake nods and keeps his eyes down, but his ears would twitch to hear the child’s voice. He wasn't hallucinating earlier, there really is a human child among the na’vi.
“Do not be so rough with him ma’ite” mo’at lightly scolds.
Neytiri just rolls her eyes and continues to eat.
“With respect tsahik, why should the alien look at stxeli? He could relay what he saw back to the other demons” teu’tey says as he peels the fruit for the little one. Neytiri looks back at her family, silently agreeing to what he says.
“I can eat in my nook from now on” stxeli offers.
“No, you eat with us as always” eytukan tells as he pulls her onto his lap. Tsu’tey hands back the fruit to his daughter as she happily munches away.
“He will see her at some point if not now” mo’at whispers to her husband. Eytukan shakes his head, “he will work hard to gain trust”.
With that being said, they all continue to eat their meal as comfortably as they can.
“You are not sleeping with us tstumke?”
Neytiri inwardly cried, she really wanted to. Stxeli was grabbing both of Neytiri's hands trying to drag her to their family’s hammock, her cute eyes staring deep into her sister's eyes. Stxeli’s cuteness really is a weakness that cannot be overcomed.
“Sleep with us, come on” she continues to beg.
Neytiri hugged her sister, and placed a kiss on her button nose. “I wish, but this time I must sleep alone, I have to rise very early to begin teaching the dream walker”
“Wayah!” stxeli hisses in anger. Neytiri wanted to laugh, so cute yet so angry.
“Stay with our parents or with tsu’tey alright? Don't get near the dream walker” she softly warns.
“As if I want to be near that ugly alien,” her baby sister says.
“He really is ugly, isn't he?”
“He has hair on top of his eyes! That is weird!”
“Easy easy” grace helps Jake to sit up as he groans from being still after long hours of laying down. She sighs in huge relief.
“Is the avatar safe?” she asks, jake said yes, was panting heavily as if he ran non stop.
“But grace, you are not gonna believe where I am and what I saw”

I've got this image of Dad!Tsu’tey from my Father-son-shenanigans AU turning up in ATWOW during the aftermath of the SeaDragon, specifically on that one rock. And he has no idea how he ended up there, but whilst Jake and Neytiri are quaking at the sudden appearance of their dead friend (visibly aged from the joys of fatherhood), Spider pops out of the ocean.
Naturally, Tsu'tey only has eyes for his son, and immediately gets launched head first into Protective!Dad mode at the state of him. He looks like a drowned rat, has several sluggishly bleeding cuts along his body, his stripes are faded more than his Spider ever allows. Not to mention, his dreads are matted at the scalp and are in desperate need of a retwist. But most alarming of all, none of his other family members (The Sully's) seem to remember to check on him in their shock of discovering Tsu'tey's presence.
Since no one else seems to be bothering, Tsu'tey helps Spider out of the water, noting the shock on the boy's face as he hesitantly takes Tsu'tey's outstretched hand.
<"Are you okay?"> Tsu'tey asks, as he has done for countless years. And horrifyingly, instead of Spider replying with "yes Dad," or "no Dad" Tsu'tey gets a-
<"Yes sir.">
Spider has never referred to Tsu'tey as 'sir' before. It's either 'Olo'eyktan' when he's in a mood and wants to get under Tsu'tey's skin, or 'Dad'.
<"Sir?"> Tsu'tey repeats with a curl of his nose. <"Who the hell is sir? I am Dad to you. I have always been Dad to you."> And of course, Tsu'tey is dead in this universe, and Spider has no clue who this strange forest na'vi is. Not to mention he's had a very long and emotional day surrounding another father figure.
<"Dude, I have no idea who you are.">
Cue:
Tsu'tey from my Dad!Tsu'tey AU looking at Spider in our ATWOW: "Watch out kid because you're about to get the strongest and most stable support system any clan has ever seen."
BONUS:
If Spider were to admit to Tsu'tey that Quaritch is alive (he's only known the man for an hour but Eywa does he trust him to keep Neytiri from mauling him):
Side Note: Tsu'tey has it all under control, and now has recruited Neytiri to go hunt down that dead beat dad.
#I feel like he would just be really sad to see himself dead in this universe and realise that Spider had no one because of it#our Spider would be so confused#Tsu'tey is a good Dad#happy to give him his space when he needs it#content to cook for him and ask about his day#scarily protective when Spider is in even a lick of danger#it's nice to have a father figure turn up after sixteen years and it not be awkward#meanwhile Neytiri and Jake are having emotional breakdowns because thier dead friend is just THERE#Only for Tsu'tey to immediately start chewing them out for neglecting HIS son#cue confusion and chaos the entire ilu ride back to the villagr#dad tsu'tey#he'd come around of course#dad!tsu'tey#son!Spider#Spider Socorro#Father-son-duo#Father-Son-Shenanigans#jake and neytiri#atwow#fix-it#Neteyam is fine#he's just resting

LE'ATWU
Le'atwu
[le'?aw.tu] adjective
alone, on one’s own, by one self;lonely
Tsu'tey is alone after the battle with the sky people. His beloved had died many yeasts ago, his ‘sorta’ sister is expecting children and his little baby brother is mad at him.
His wounds have also left him weak—unable to help his People under Mo'at’s orders—so Jake tasks him with helping the vrrtep settle into their new home. That’s were he meets Miles Socorro.
Miles Socorro is also alone. His father was the vrrtep who had destroyed the Hometree and had been defeated during the battle. He had abandoned on Pandora due to being too young to go the ship back to Earth. The scientists don’t want the child either.
Tsu'tey finds himself often taking care of the baby whether it’s making sure he is fed, rested properly or even taking him outside with a tiny mask. No one could expect someone who hated human as just as Tsu'tey does taking care of the offspring who killed many of his people.
But can the wounded warrior become a father to the hated boy?

Near Death, Again
(Platonic! Tsu'tey x Avatar! Reader) (Platonic! Jake x Avatar! Reader)
Unwitting people find themselves sharing a fondness for the dreamwalker child. Mystery surrounds their injuries and the sleep from which they have not woken. (2.3k)
I am pulling this straight out of the garbage pile and making it all up. Does anyone actually like this. Also forget to mention that reader is like, 17-ish? To me at least, imagine them however you want. Blood and injury tw.
"I told you not to push too much, we could lose it! It could die!"
"What do you care!?"
"I spent millions of dollars on that little investment at least be fucking delicate!"
A small room, barely enough to sit in. The yelling reverberated over the concrete walls, unheard by the child who kept their hands over their ears. Even so, there could be no silence.
They felt as if every thought had a voice, and among the thousands that swarmed their head, each screamed at full volume. Suffocating. It felt suffocating.
The metal door creaked open, washing the small space with light and revealing the massacre. The source of the argument.
Blood spewed from the child's ears. From their mouth. From their eyes, unseeing as the red filled their vision.
"Look at it! It's bleeding everywhere, are you even sure it will survive the night?"
The child remained oblivious. Or maybe the thoughts just left no space for anything else to be recognized.
"Ma'am, I can assure you that it will survive. We've done a lot more brutal things-"
"Brutal! Do you think I swat a fly and call it brutality? I'm talking about it's survival, I have spent too much on this for it to fail. Don't push it."
"Well, fix it so it won't fail or don't push it? With all due respect, it's one or the other so just how much do you want this to succeed?"
The door shut again, enclosing the flood of crimson.
Barely a second is taken to consider the words. "Fine, fix it." Those final words rang through the air as the sound of footsteps fell away.
It would be hours before anyone would open the door again. Dragging the small, unconscious body, almost indiscernible with the blood wrapping it in different shades of red.
"How's it doing?"
"Still breathing, sir."
"Good, take it away."
After only a day of rest, they were taken again into the lab and ended up with the same fate. Bleeding onto the tiles with no space in their head to even feel hurt.
To that child, screams were not abnormal. In fact, more concern rose when there were no screams. How could there not be in a place so intent on practicing cruelty?
The sounds didn't bother them. That's all they were. Sounds. Ones they couldn't even connect to faces. The company took enough measures to ensure that but perhaps left the children in close enough quarters that the screams would serve to keep them in line. Who knows.
They certainly didn't. Why would they waste time thinking about such things when they could barely think for themselves?
Two sharp knocks on the door. The squeak of the metal flap. The slide of the tray against the tile. Those were the only sounds they cared for.
They stood from the cramped bed, which had barely been enough as a child. Even more so as they grew older. But that night, as they squeezed dry the plastic containing the same tasteless paste that had been served for years, the screaming suddenly sounded different.
It took a moment to realize why. These were not screams of children.
That night the sounds stopped. No knocks on the door. No tray of questionable food sliding in. No screams.
It didn't take long to realize what happened. They were abandoned. The screams that night had been of worry. And if they thought hard enough, they could remember some of the words.
'Found us', 'hide', 'leave those to die'.
Of course, 'those' pertained to them.
And to however many kids sat in locked cells in that long hallway.
Kids raised in the bunker alongside them. Bred in little tubes and nourished into willing war machines. Or they would have been, if the scientists could only get their experiments right.
They couldn't remember how long it took. How long they laid on that cold tile floor wishing that they were bleeding out instead of starving.
Then, the door creaked open.
They were pulled out of the cramped room that held their life. A gloved hand tugging at their arm harshly. Lights shining at their face. Blurred figures. The ever so present smell of blood. The ache of walking after being still for so long. The wish to be carried which couldn't be voiced.
Those were the things they could remember, nothing else. Not how they got to the RDA. Not how many children there were in the truck that brought them over. Not even how they ended up in a soft bed that didn't stink of blood.
The reason for it all?
The experiment program had been leaked. This resulted in the sudden abandonment. Someone in the bunker grew a conscience and spread it to the public, which caused outrage.
The rest ran before they could be caught. The whistleblower died for the crime of seeking justice. And the government had fucked up enough that they only found the bunker three days later.
Many of the younger children were dead by then.
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
When they awoke, they didn't relish the soft bed. They instead felt the absence of blood, and it made theirs run cold.
The only explanation they could think of for the lack of the sharp smell was that it had yet to be introduced. And with them being the only one in the room, it could only be their blood that would end up spilt.
That thinking brought them to a situation. A knee on the back of a man's neck. His arms held tight in their shaking hands.
"Everything's okay, you're okay. You're fine." The man tried to be soothing, his voice sounding weird as half his face remained closely acquainted with the floor.
The tone only set off more alarms in their head, their knee coming down harsher. "Quiet."
The man didn't listen. "They're gone. Those scumbags that did all that to you and those kids, they're locked up. You're not in that bunker anymore."
"Quiet," they repeated.
The door slid open. They took advantage of the person's surprise and ran for it, not thinking of anything as they wove through the halls.
The experiments had come through, doing the work for them so they need not think for themselves.
But a failed test subject, barefoot and in a new environment, could only get so far.
They were back in the room in thirty minutes, proud at least of the injuries it took to get them back there.
The window wouldn't break. They tried it the moment the door shut. So they settled for hiding under the bed, a fallacy on their part as they couldn't run for the door fast enough when it opened.
"Kiddo?"
A man entered, the same one they pinned down the first time. They could only see the lower half of his legs, but they could tell he looked around the room before crouching.
They had half a mind to lunge at him then when he offered a smile. "Hey, no hard feelings about earlier. I get that you're scared and that's understandable." He only smiled brighter when they glared, furthering their confusion.
"I'll just-" he moved back, sitting against the wall opposite the bed. "I'll stay here if you don't mind."
They thought that was it, and went back to reviewing the building's blurry layout that they somehow pieced together from the brief stint outside.
"What's your name?"
No reply.
"How old are you?"
Silence.
The man sighed. He moved, they assumed to get up and get out but he instead lay down on his side, catching their eye. "Hi. My name's Tommy."
°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°
"They're gonna get through this," Jake told no one in particular, eating dinner alone in the empty cafeteria. He repeated that over and over in his head.
Sometimes it felt like the only thing he could think. Even though his lessons with Neytiri continued, he always found his way back to that one thought.
It felt bad enough not knowing anything. But not having anything to say felt worse.
He had to keep telling Neytiri that he didn't know why they weren't waking up.
Nobody knew why. Not the medical doctors. Or the science doctors. Or anyone.
He didn't understand. Especially when he wheeled himself over to their room. They looked fine. Like he could shake them awake.
"You're gonna wake up, right kid?"
They didn't answer him except with more of the same, uniform breathing.
Jake hated it at first. It reminded him of his days in the VA. Unable to do anything but listen to patients beside him who had it much worse. But now he realized that it at least meant they were alive. And he would take that over nothing.
He took the yogurt cup from his otherwise empty tray, placing it in the fridge, beside the others he'd saved up with every meal.
"You have to wake up."
He fell asleep in that room just like he did the three nights before, sitting by their bedside holding their hand.
°•°••°•°••°•°
Tsu'tey did much of the same. Though he himself needed to rest, he insisted on watching over their body. He knew that should they wake, it would be in their other body first but he snuck off to their tent anyway just in case.
So much so that the healers placed his bed in their tent, if only to no longer deal with coaxing him back to his tent whenever he went to theirs. Which was often.
He no longer joined the morning hunt. Or hunted at all. Spending all his time beside them instead.
"No changes?"
Someone pulled back the tent flap, allowing him a brief view of the outside. When did night fall?
"Nothing."
Zeyko nodded and began unwrapping the bandages as she did every night, changing them out for new ones.
She worked carefully.
As each layer slowly unraveled, her touch grew softer. Almost feather-like near their skin, as if one wrong move and they would break.
He never talked to Zeyko before the accident. Nothing that would count as a conversation anyway. Nods of acknowledgement, gestures of greeting, a grunt or two whenever she'd have to patch him up.
They were too different, and so they held a silent agreement. To not step over the line, to fulfill separate duties, to act with the barest friendliness only if needed but to not be friends.
An agreement that Tsu'tey had with many as he kept all at arm's length.
But now the two held a new agreement. Nothing that asked anything of either of them. Just an agreement. Unspoken, perhaps even unheard.
Both cared for the dreamwalker.
°•°••°•°••°•°••°•°
The dreamwalker in question could not have had a more fitting name. They were stuck in dreams. Walking amongst figments of imagination. Talking with memories. Walking. Walking. Walking.
Time didn't exist wherever they were, at least not in the binding way it did elsewhere.
They walked and walked. Never feeling tired. Never in the same place. Through memories that weren't theirs. And pasts that had occurred long before them.
"Why are you here, child?"
They didn't understand. It felt exactly like when their head couldn't keep up. A fuzzy feeling, like mold growing in their brain. The words began to make sense separately, slowly, understanding forming in the back of their mind as they continued walking.
Each step wakened them. Like their consciousness had spilled all over and now it had begun to creep back into the crevices of their being.
Again, they were asked. "What are you here for?"
They couldn't answer. But the question had them realizing they were running now, and all at once their thoughts came rushing back.
"What?"
Nothing.
For a second they feared they had imagined it.
"So you have awoken, you were in quite the deep sleep."
"Yes," they murmured, looking around. A forest. "Yes, I suppose I was."
They blinked, and they were in the mountains, floating over the trees.
"Where am I?"
"You are with me. You are safe."
Even without asking, a name tugged at their mind. They were in the forest again.
"Why am I here?"
"To learn, perhaps. You are an interesting one." They blinked again, opening their eyes to a river. "The path you have chosen, it will be hard."
"I haven't chosen any path." Another mountaintop.
The faceless voice smiled, they knew this in the way one knows things in dreams. A feeling, more than a thought or deduction. "You have chosen, stepping into danger for one of mine. He would have been welcomed home otherwise."
The world began to crumble, flickering like a light. The voice kept going, strangely calming, even as they began to fall. "You and Jake Sully, yes I think we can find a use for you. I will help you."
They fell continuously, knowing this even while hearing and feeling nothing. They were falling through the inky black.
It felt nice. Like laying in the sand and letting waves lap at your body.
The feeling was strange. They knew it didn't belong. Not with them.
This thought tugged at them. A rope tied around their waist, guiding their fall somewhere. As it did, they began to feel more things tugging at them. More and more. Until they were shooting through the ink.
The dark began to lift gradually.
Their eyes blinked open. All memory of what just happened began to fade. Like a word you know but cannot remember.
They blinked again, taking in their surroundings. A hospital room. Nighttime. Something beeping. They tried to stand, limbs moving in slow motion. They didn't realize their hand slipping from someone else's. Though they felt the warmth, brows furrowing as they wiggled their fingers.
It felt strange. Like they were in that moment between dreaming and awake. Everything felt strange.
Another movement caught their eye. A movement they couldn't control.
"Tommy?"

This had me sobbing
I can be a better father
Pair: Tsu'tey x Child y/n x Child spider
Warning: Sad, jake being a bad parent, tsu'tey being the peer we all love. Neytiri being a sweetheart.
Note: I had a previous version, but I wanted to make this one from scratch. But if you want to read more about "bad dad jake" HERE. I hope you like it a lot, I really enjoyed making this oneshot.
Request: (anonymous) Idk if your the one who did Jake having a daughter from a one night stand thing and him and her having a strain relationship , I was thinking if Tsu'tey is alive and him seeing her and Spider being literally outcast and kinda neglected by the humans for one reayor another he kinda adopted both of them as his own ( and proybe bit petty for Jake being the way he is he do things better) Like reader just call Jake Jake and not dad but have a good relationship with their half siblings ( they call Tsu'tey dad and he may be rough he dose care about his kids )
Avatar masterlist | Part 1, Part 2 , Part 3
If there was one thing tsu'tey liked to do in the afternoons, it was to go hunting alone. Walking through the jungle, with his bow and enjoying the silence that the jungle provided. He was very comfortable in various branches and bushes, the austrapede was right before his eyes, standing still while eating grass. Just as he was about to shoot, he saw the animal raise its head in alertness and run away. At the same time, he heard a noise coming from his feet. Looking down, he found a small creature. Little Y/N. He relaxed his shoulders, and lowered his bow. Watching as the girl was still literally sitting on her feet with a fruit. The girl was moving the fruit up and down and tapping it on the ground in order to break it.
"y/n" tsu'tey speaks softly, watching as the little girl looks up to see her favorite person. "Tsu…look!!!" speaks the little girl, lifting the fruit in the air. Tsu'tey laughs a little, and kneels down so that she can be at the same height as the little girl. The girl gets up from the ground, and automatically approaches the na'vi. Showing her the fruit. " I want….hunger" y/n speaks, in a very basic na'vi language. The poor thing was trying to learn to speak na'vi and English at the same time. Tsu'tey takes the fruit in her hands, the fruit was very big for a little girl. "What are you doing here alone?" asks tsu'tey stroking the little girl's hands, noticing that she had some scratches and her clothes were all dirty. Out of nowhere, a noise calls her attention…looking up to some bushes ahead. Tsu'tey takes the girl by the arm. Hugging her in order to protect her. "Y/N!!! LOOK…I FOUND MORE!!!" shouts spider, running to the direction where the girl was. Tsu'tey's heart calmed down, as he saw the other human child passing by in the village.
The child run, and bumped into tsu'tey's arm which had them reached out for the child to hug him. "spider…what are you doing here?" asks Tsutey, he knew that spider spoke the na'vi language better and was more extroverted than y/n. "We were hungry and went out hunting" says spider, playfully gesturing with his wooden bow, which tsu'tey had given him as a gift a couple of months ago. "you guys are hungry…wow" says tsu'tey, watching as y/n settles more on his chest. Tsu'tey noticed that spider was also dirty and his tired little face was showing. "Are you tired?" asks tsu'tey, wiping some of spider's hair. They both nod their heads. "How about we go to my hut and I help you cut this fruit?" says Tsutey, the children got happy and started jumping up and down. Tsu'tey stood up and began to guide both little ones home. He didn't have to worry much, both children knew the way very well.
It was not the first time tsu'tey had encountered these two human children. Left alone in the jungle, without parental supervision. This made him uncomfortable and annoyed him. He knew that spider was the son of the man who had hurt his clan, his planet. And he also knew that Y/N was the daughter of jake, well…of the human version of jake. He knew the whole story, neytiri had told him. At first it all seemed strange to him, but with time he could understand. What he couldn't understand was why jakesully didn't love you and always rejected you in some way. Y/n was still his daughter…whatever it was. But apparently he didn't understand this, which caused the man to care much more about the young children. They were both 5 years old, and he could not stop worrying about the welfare of both children. At first it was difficult for him to get close to the two children, but he got used to it.
"Ok…sit over there…and I'll help you cut that fruit" says tsu'tey watching the children running around the hut. Laughing and playing as they sat down where tsu'tey had ordered them to. The man reached for a container of water and a cloth. He had to clean the children up a bit, it pained him to see them so careless. He sat down next to spider, while y/n sat on his lap. "Tsu…I want a giant piece" says spider, yelling a little. Tsu'tey tapped him on the glass of his mask. "Spider…don't scream…I'm right here beside you" says tsu'tey laughing as he watched the boy get up to start playing with some toys tsu'tey had. He made some wooden toys for when they would visit him at his home. "Let's see…you know what you have to do. Hold your breath, pull up your mask and put the fruit in your mouth" says tsu'tey handing a piece to y/n. She was sitting on his lap all this time, quietly.
After the children eat their fruit, he cleans the children. Cleaning their hands, face, combing some of their hair. He even put some beads in their hair, according to him to make them look more of the clan. "How about if I make you some new clothes?" said tsu'tey. The children were so happy, spider grabbed y/n's hand, inviting her to play with him. Tsu'tey enjoyed the view, watching the children play and run around the hut. This felt so good, he always wanted a family. It all seemed so far from reality…he had gotten the idea that he was never going to find his mate. And that he would never have a family. So he enjoyed these moments with the children. After a fun afternoon for him, he decided to take the children to their respective homes. That was the ugly place which humans called 'laboratory'. Tsu'tey had the children carried in his arms, spider was on his neck holding his head, while y/n was on his left arm. The child was holding a little flower she had found on the road. "Y/N!!!" a somewhat loud voice was heard from the distance, tsu'tey watched as jake approached him. The man approached tsu'tey, and tried to take y/n in his arms. But the little girl clung to tsu'tey's arms. "Come here…we have to go home. Where had you gone?" asks jake, his tone of voice sounding annoyed. "They were in the jungle…both children" says tsu'tey holding both children tighter. "I think they ran away from me and…" jake started to give an explanation.
"There is no excuse…you have to be more aware of them. If you don't want y/n, at least watch out for their safety," tsu'tey says even more annoyed. Jake remains silent, he knew his friend was right. Jake did love you, but he didn't have the same connection he had with his children. He was never there during your pregnancy, or in your first years of life. So to him…y/n was just another child. Tsu'tey carefully handed both children to jake. "Take them to a safe place…please" tsu'tey talks, while releasing the little ones. They didn't want to get away from him. Spider was whining and y/n was starting to cry. Tsu'tey gave him a little kiss on the crown of his head and said goodbye to the children. Watching as jake tried to soothe them. It broke his heart, how he wished he could stay with them. But how could that be possible? He could pick up spider, he had no one. But y/n? She had her father…he couldn't go and ask her…that would never happen.
That same week, the children continued to hang out in their hut. Playing and spending all day with him. He practically had two new little tails. He would feed them, which was a difficult task because of the oxygen masks. He also taught them what they needed to know to survive in Pandora. And he gave them lots of love…who would have thought that a man like tsu'tey could be so loving. He combed and cared for his children. He liked to think of them as his…his little babies. Everyone in the clan was surprised to see tsu'tey with two human children, treating them as if they were his own. They talked and said comments but he didn't care. Someone had to take care of these two orphans and he was doing it. While jake and norm were in their own worlds…neytiri noticed tsu'tey's new behavior toward the human children.
Unlike jake, neytiri cared about you. She always tried to take care of you, when you were in the family hut. After all, you were half-sister to her children. It was the middle of the day…and she was sitting in the hut, looking after and watching her young children play. And in that group was y/n…playing with lo'ak. She watched as the little girl ran up, screaming. "'Dad…daddy!!!'" says y/n. Running toward the entrance, neytiri turns around expecting to see her mate. But she was surprised to see tsu'tey standing in the doorframe. The man had a basket full of vegetables, and was kneeling down waiting for the little girl's hug. The girl hugs him with all her heart, as he lifts her into the air, settling her in his arms. Walking to where neytiri was. "Hello…neytiri. I brought something for the family" says tsu'tey, he seemed to be very happy. "Thank you…I am grateful" says neytiri, accepting the basket and watching as her friend sat down next to her. All the children went to greet them, he lovingly greeted them one by one.
Neytiri appreciated the treatment and love tsu'tey had for her children. That's how it should be…after all he was practically her brother. After greeting all the children, Y/n hugged tsu'tey again and settled on her lap. "my pretty flower…how are you? Have you eaten?" asks tsu'tey, adjusting the girl's hair. "Yes… neyney gave me a nice meal" says the little girl lifting up her dirty shirt to show her stomach. Both adults laugh, neytiri reaches over and touches the little girl's stomach tickling it. She liked that nickname the little y/n had given her, neyney….sounded so adorable. "That sounds perfect…look I brought you something?" says Tsutey, pulling something out of a little pouch on his waist. Neteyam had come over, sitting right next to you on tsu'tey's lap. "Is that clothes?" asks the little neteyam, squeezing his sister. "yes, it's for y/n…it's just like kiri's" says tsu'tey, untangling the clothes. Stretching it out to show it to everyone, neytiri was surprised. It was small, but it was very beautiful. With feathers, and very delicate stones.
" My,my,my!!!" y/n speak, raising her arms so she could take her clothes. "Kiri…why don't you help your sister change" neytiri says, while kiri took y/n's hand. Behind the two of them, there was neteyam. "We have to put a bracelet on her" shouts the boy, both adults laugh. Tsu'tey was surprised at how attached the children were to y/n, even neytiri. So the problem was…jake. "She calls you dad," neytiri says, not mincing words. As she looked at what was in the basket. "She just calls 'jake' to her father…" neytiri was about to keep talking, when tsu'tey interrupts her. "Neytiri… being a parent is something you earn. And I think I have done an excellent job with those children." Tsu'tey says, he was proud of his words, for he knew they were true. "I know… and I am very proud of you. I'm aware that my partner doesn't give her the attention that child needs… so you've earned that title," the woman speaks. They both stand in silence for a while.
"I think I would be a better father to her? And also for the boy?" speaks tsu'tey, neytiri now looks at him with concern. She didn't know what to tell him now, this was a difficult situation. "You mean…you want to adopt them?" asks neytiri, she wanted to be sure she had listened well. "Yes, I want them to be my children. I will take complete care of them and Jake won't have to worry about anything…they will be in good hands."
Neytiri knows deep down that this is for the best. Although it was hard to believe, tsu'tey had accepted the presence of those human children. Maybe he felt sorry for them, since they spent all day alone. If Y/N was not with neytiri, she was alone with spider doing what things. She knew tsu'tey would be an excellent father, and she would support him. "I'll talk to jake…but I'm not promising anything" says neytiri, seeing how on tsu'tey's face a big smile was drawn. "She will still come and she will be with her brothers…I just want her to be safe" tsu'tey tries to convince neytiri. The woman puts a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Calm down…I will do what I can" neytiri speaks. They both looked up, when they heard the children approaching. Y/N had the na'vi clothes that tsu'tey had made for him. She also had a few accessories that her siblings had put on her. Y/N runs to neytiri, wrapping her small arms around her neck. "Let me see…you look very pretty. Do you like it?" says neytiri, arranging several pieces of the outfit. "Yessssss!!!" shouts the excited little girl. "Mom…did you see that I put my bracelet on y/n…it looks better on her" says neteyam, arranging more of the piece on her sister's arm.
"They did a great job," tsu'tey says. Neytiri fixes the girl's hair, while her brothers play with her. "Hey…how do you say?" orders neytiri looking at you with a serious look. "Thank you" y/n gets shy, while thanking tsu'tey. The latter reaches over and caresses a cheek of the little one. He could already feel the excitement, hopefully jake would accept. He felt grateful to know that someone cared for her, neytiri was doing a great job in taking care of her. And if he kept the little girl, he would bring y/n every day to spend time with her. He could tell they had a nice relationship. After a while, the man said goodbye to everyone, neytiri told him that she was going to stay with y/n and not to worry. He had to go to the lab to look for spider. He had also prepared an outfit for his little boy.
When he got to the lab, he knocked on the door. Norm let spider out, the man took good care of him. But not well enough, children need to be given love and time. And these people weren't doing that. He waited patiently for his boy to come out. According to Norm, Spider was asleep and he had to get him up. After about 5 minutes, the little boy came out, sleepy. Tsu'tey carries him, and the little boy hugs him. "I brought you a surprise," says tsu'tey, lowering the boy to the ground. As he pulled out a bundle, in which his new outfit was wrapped. Spider was so happy, tsu'tey's eyes lit up at the sight of the little boy's face. So excited, for such a simple gesture. Spider took the gift and ran inside the lab to change. "Wait for me here!!!" shouts the boy tsu'tey laughs and sits down on the metal stairs to wait for the boy. He is convinced that it was a good idea to create their own na'vi clothing, this way they will be cleaner and feel more comfortable.
The day happened just as he had planned it. If everything went well…Jake would agree to let him stay and take care of y/n. If he was a smart man he would agree to let him stay and take care of them. If he was a smart man he would agree right away. Tsu'tey began to clear away the mess he had in his hut. There were a few toys that the children had left in the morning, he was so happy. After a while, he heard someone enter his hut, "Hello…" tsu'tey spoke, noticing that it was Jake who had arrived. He quickly interrupts him. "You think you can just go to neytiri and ask her for me to give y/n to you. That's not how it works" says jake, he was a bit annoyed. This put tsu'tey on alert, how dare he complain to him if he didn't even want to and didn't even pay attention to y/n. "Are you listening to yourself… I'm the one who takes care of those children. I'm the one who feeds them, takes care of them and watches over them. You don't even pay attention to y/n" tsu'tey raises his voice, he is so upset. He wanted to hit this man right now, but he was controlling himself. Just then, neytiri arrives at the hut. She was agitated and you could see her worried face.
"Norm lost the children!!!" says neytiri worriedly. The woman had taken y/n to the lab in the afternoon. She handed her over to Norm, since y/n couldn't sleep all night in the hut, the oxygen wouldn't last long. But couple of minutes later, lo'ak came running to his mother saying that when he went to play with his sister and didn't find her and that norm was looking for her. And that with her was spider. Neytiri quickly tried to explain everything to the men in front of her, she felt that she had interrupted something that was about to end very badly. Hearing that spider and y/n were lost, he quickly ran, pushing jake aside and going to the lab area. Neytiri didn't even look at Jake and took off after his friend. Jake followed some time later.
Tsu'tey arrived at the lab upset, norm was in his avatar body holding a flashlight. Tsu'tey grabbed norm's shoulders, he had to tell him where the children were. "No…they said they were going to play nearby, they said something about some flowers" norm spoke quickly, tsu'tey could be quite an intimidating man. As soon as norm mentioned flowers, tsu'tey knew where both children are. He relaxed a little, but not at all, the road to that place could be quite dangerous at night. Tsu'tey started walking, ignoring some complaints from jake and some questions from neytiri. They decided to follow the man without any protests. The path was quite close, it was a place where tsu'tey used to take the children to play. A nice meadow that had a lot of flowers, bright. It was a beautiful place, but it could be a bit dangerous for two five year olds.
Arriving at the meadow tsu'tey saw two small figures in the dark, he approached slowly accompanied by jake, neytiri and norm. "And what are you two doing here?" speaks tsu'tey with a calm and sweet voice. Causing both children to look up, running a little towards the man. Tsu'tey wrapped his arms around them, sighing with relief. "I thought something serious happened to you guys…you shouldn't be here at night" says tsu'tey, looking annoyed at the children. "We're sorry!!!" says both children, holding hands. Jake walks over to where the children are, carrying them. "Well…we have to go" says jake, neytiri stood next to tsu'tey…she knew he was upset. She took his hand and gave it a squeeze. "I tried…but he's kind of stubborn" neytiri speaks. "He doesn't know how to take care of them…. y/n. He…" tsu'tey turns away from neytiri and starts walking home.
He could feel several tears running down his cheeks. He felt anger and insufficient… he only wanted the best for these children. He himself felt strange, to feel compassion and affection for human children. He arrived at his hut, and quickly lay down in his hammock. He had to get used to the idea that he could never have his own family, that he would never be able to take enough care of these children, because they did not belong to him and although he did not like the idea, they already had their own parents. He settled down, trying to relieve himself of his feelings. He almost got his sleep, but finally after a long time he was able to sleep. The night passed quickly, and as usual he got up early. Wiping his face, not noticing anything else around him.
Out of nowhere he felt someone moving something in his hut. Turning his eyes slowly, he saw a spider looking in the basket where the toys were. Then he saw y/n sitting down, she was playing with one of the wooden ikran. He couldn't believe it, what was going on? Why were the kids here so early in the morning? "Norm said he'll bring you an oxygen capsule later…so the kids can sleep in there" speaks jake…he was on the other side of the hut. Sitting on the floor. Tsu'tey is surprised, and pulls back. "What?" tsu'tey was surprised, he didn't understand what was going on. ""You're so right….I'm a bad father to Y/N"" speaks jake. Both men talk, and begin to set the record straight. Jake knew that he wasn't the best thing for Y/N, and that he neglected her too much.
He had talked to neytiri at night, she talked to him. That it was best for Y/N to be with tsu'tey. Jake had been thinking about it all night, it was the best thing to do. Besides, he wouldn't be far from her…besides, his daughter didn't call him father. To her, her father was the man in front of her, the one who had taken care of her for the last two years. Like Y/N, Jake talked to Norm…he told him that Spider should go with Tsu'tey, that he was the best thing for these children. Jake said goodbye to both children, and walked away without looking back. Although he didn't want to admit it, it hurt him a little to admit that he was a bad father and that it was too late now.
Left alone with both children, tsu'tey sits still stunned by the situation. He could not believe it, eywa had heard his prayers. His heart wanted to burst out of his chest, he was so happy. The little girl approaches her father, and hands him the toy. She had a cute smile on her face. "You know you will stay with me…I-I will be your daddy" says tsu'tey, taking the hand of spider, who had come closer. Both children nodded their heads. "I promise I will take care of you…I promise" both children hug their new father tightly. Even though they always knew…that he was their father.
ps. Thank you for leaving your request, I know it took me a long time to reply. I have had some problems with my laptop, but I will be answering them this week little by little. But don't think I have forgotten you.

EVERY CORNER OF THIS HOUSE IS HAUNTED. (2)
Synopsis ! Jake had taken you as his own after Tsu'tey's passing, leaving no one to care for you. Things had been good before your relationship with him had blurred along growing of age. You and him fought all the time; argued each other's ear off and tonight was no different-- except words have been said, severing the already damaged bond. Content & warning Jake sully x Daughter!Reader, Sully kids x Sister!Reader Neytiri x Daughter!Reader. (wc: 5264)
You swung your legs over the edge, feet ghosting just above the calm lake that surrounded this part of the forest. It was a bit far from the village, but you felt more at ease knowing that you wouldn’t be found easily. This was your own place and ironically enough, a spot you and Jake had found years ago. You could see the familiar marks left from the arrows you had shot, deeply engraved in some of the trunks.
One drawing had caught your eye. From one of the trees, a bit taller than the rest; an image of you and your father. It was silly, clearly etched by the hands of a kid no older than six. The lines were harsh as the wood itself was tough, but it was there– almost mockingly. You scoffed, mindlessly grabbing a pebble and flinging it right on the center.
You have barely moved since you arrived here; detached yourself the moment you had sat near the jagged rocks. It was a habit you presumed you got from Jake. The longer you stayed, the more you succumbed to your ever-bleeding wounds– there was just something so tragic about being an eldest daughter.
You weren’t all bite, despite the constant snarl on your lips. You weren't so egotistical as to think that you couldn't possibly be wrong, but tonight, tonight you knew damn well Jake was to blame.
‘Is it because I’m not your daughter?’
Your own voice had rang through your mind. You wince in response, cringing internally. That could very well be the case– you weren't part of their family. You can’t help but think that they may have done it out of pity.
But Kiri wasn’t exactly their own either. In fact, you and Kiri weren’t at all opposites at birth.
While you came from Tsu’tey, she was from Grace; both of you from separate blood and brought together by one. However you weren’t exactly close to Eywa or have the skills she possessed. Kiri was undeniably special– spiritual and awfully attuned. Heck, she had managed to tame her own ikran simply by asking it to be her friend.
Still, there was no reason for Jake to treat you differently. You were jealous– of course you are. If he’s able to be as gentle as he is with your baby sister, why couldn’t he with you? It was a sickening thought, to think that he acts so rigid and unrelenting around you while he looked at her like she had hanged every star in the night sky. Sure Kiri was special, but you were at least his daughter too. Can’t he spare you even just a second of a loving glance?
With Kiri, he listens intently– looks at her with such tenderness as he takes in her every word. It was the same gaze he wore whenever we visited the sky-people lab; Jake would stare a bit too long at Grace, expression somewhere along the line of reminiscing. Whenever he had moments like these, his eyes would hold some sort of longing– a promise. Perhaps it was because Grace meant the world to him– literally. She taught him everything about Pandora, showed him the way of the Na’vi; gave him another shot at living.
Kiri was exactly like her mother; wise and cunning. Jake probably sees Grace in her very image.
You’d think this would be the embodiment of every father with their daughters; kind and vulnerable, but you would argue otherwise. When he looked at you, it was more of regret– grief prolonging. It was a gaze so ugly and unwanted; a weight you’re not supposed to carry.
Because you’re exactly like Tsu’tey and Jake sees him in yourself.
It was no secret that Jake was softer when it came to Tuk and Kiri. While you are relieved that it had been that way, you can never pray for them to experience the struggles you are burdened with– it tugged on your heartstrings that you would never feel the warmer side of your father; will never know how it feels to be babied nor to be held gently.
You were her daughter too so you didn’t understand. What made you any different from them that you had to pretend his love was hidden beneath his icy glares and dismissive grunts? These were emotions nonetheless– however odd or minuscule they may have been. You thought that maybe, just maybe, there’d be a crack to this exterior. Maybe if you tried harder, Jake would soften up to you too.
But that wasn’t the case because he never did. You had picked apart pieces of yourself that you thought weren’t pleasing– did better despite your age. You were young and only yearned for your father’s approval.
( “You’re not doing it right. Again.”
As you stretched your already sore arms for the nth time, ready to take aim, his hands tug on your stance– a bit harsher than intended. Light continued to glare down on your figure as you tirelessly corrected your posture again. Your ears pricked up at the sound of your sibling’s laughter, coming to you from afar. You stole a glance at them as they continued to play and enjoy themselves by the water, their childish exuberance highlighted by their splashing around in the shallow waves.
“Can’t I take a break?” You whined, dropping your stiff shoulders. Hearing them have fun made you want to jump in as well.
“I didn’t let you talk my ear off just to give up. Come on, you promised me a bullseye today, baby girl.” He said, eyebrows furrowing a bit. You look down to your feet, a bit embarrassed. You didn’t want him to not take you seriously– you fear that if you let him down now, he wouldn’t let you do anything again. “Just one hit and I’ll let you off–”
His head turns sharply towards Kiri as she calls out for Jake, asking him to join them in their game. He can't help but to let out a small chuckle as he yells back a short response of ‘in a minute.’
“Again, come on.” His hands move quickly and firmly grasp your arms, helping you back to the same position before. “I’ll be watching, promise.” With a light tap on your shoulder, he rushes off, chasing after your siblings towards the water.
The quicker you got it done, the sooner you would be able to play. You pulled on the string again and released a heavy sigh before releasing the arrow. After several tries of firing shots that missed their mark, you finally managed to hit dead center with one shot. Your eyes widen in surprise, disbelief crossing your face before you jump excitedly, “Did you see that, dad? Did you–”
Your yell was instantly drowned out by Lo'ak's hearty laugh. You couldn't help but feel deflated as you watched your father lift him up onto his shoulders while the others trailed behind them in a fit of giggles. You run towards them, bow in hand.
“You weren’t watching–” You tried to pull his hand in your direction, gesturing towards the arrow that was still firmly embedded into the red ring you had created on the trunk of the tree.
"Ah, darn, I missed it?" He said between breathy chuckles as Kiri tried to tug on his tail from behind, barely taking note of your work. "Why don't you do it again? This time I'll be sure to pay attention."
“But I want to play with you now.”
“Dad– Neteyam caught something! It’s huge, come look!” Jake slowly lowers Lo'ak from his shoulders, letting them pull him towards where Neteyam stood. The children squealed at the sight of the fish (with Kiri letting out a few disgusted gags), but Jake reveled in pride. “Yeah, Neteyam, the mighty fisherman!”
You stayed still on the shore watching them– watching him. It was so easy to lose your father’s attention despite your best efforts. You retreated back to your spot, eyes glaring at the arrow sticking out from the tree. If a single bullseye wasn’t enough to impress Jake, then you’d just have to perfect your aim. Your hits will never miss again and you’ll make him proud.)
You were clueless. If only you knew that there was no satisfying your father, you would’ve spent the days tirelessly training to play instead– to be an actual kid without having the worries of a grown adult.
You could leave. At the thought of it, your head swiveled towards the unfamiliar path that would take you away from the clan– away from everything you know. You could leave and never come back; take your father’s name and build your own person. There was this selfish thought pricking at the back of your brain that once they noticed your absence, everyone would look for you and even feel sorry for what they put you through; that Jake would be sorry to lose you.
You wonder what kind of reputation you'd leave for him when everyone realizes you had run away, never to come back. But it was unfair– your mother would be devastated. Neytiri had already gone through enough, were you worth another heartbreak? She didn’t deserve that.
Suppose you could only dream that Jake would put on an effort for a search party– for him to grow hopeless and regretful while searching for you. You could only dream that he’d run towards you, arms wide open. “You scared me, sweetheart. I thought I lost you. I’m sorry, dad’s sorry.”
But you’ve been away for hours and no one has reached out yet. They probably assumed that you only needed some time and space to clear your head, not seeing any cause for alarm. The only thing that waited for you back home was a hell of a scolding and a week’s punishment of tending the ikrans. Sighing, you decided to just head back.
Your steps are careful– silent, as you near your hut again. You expected for the worst. Neytiri could have told Jake to stay guard outside until you finally decided to come home for all you know, but you weren’t ready for another heated conversation with him just yet. So as you make your way back, you stick your neck out behind the bushes, trying to make out of the surroundings.
Surprisingly, it wasn’t Jake that was waiting outside. It was Kiri. Her figure glows underneath the starry night and it was hard not to be discouraged, but you suppose it was better than having to deal with your father again.
"Kiri?" You called out in a low voice, and instantly her head snapped up. She quickly jumps to her feet upon seeing your arrival, heart racing as she rushes towards you. Without hesitation, she wraps her arms tightly around you in a hug. She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath to try and steady herself. “Oh great mother, thank you.”
You tentatively put your arms around her in response, hands patting the top of her head. “This isn’t the first time I ran from home,” Your voice is soft– unsure.
Feeling your hesitance, she slowly withdraws from you. “But it’s the first time sempul has said something so..” She stops herself mid-sentence, shaking her head as if to clear away her thoughts. “I worry you’d finally want to leave.”
You stared at her, feeling your insides soften. You could never get angry at Kiri, no matter the situation. You couldn’t just leave. She was your sister still and no one would ever understand you like she does. No one will ever grow you another sibling. As much as you hated yourself, you were meant to watch as she thrives.
Siblings were such a weird concept; it was hard for you to wrap your head around it. Despite the fact that you could hate them with every fibre of your being, you’d still love them unconditionally and protectively; despise them but burn down the whole universe for their safety. It made no sense to be so full of such strong, conflicting emotions all at once, but she was your sister and that was enough explanation.
“Stupid eywa-powers.” You joke as you take your index finger, lightly pressing it against her forehead. She playfully swats your hand away with a laugh, eyes crinkling.
She silently murmurs, “Not stupid” to herself, a small laugh escaping her lips.
You two slowly sat on your wicker chairs in front of the fire. The seat creaked as you made yourself comfortable. Jake was real handy with his hands back then– made all sorts of things for everyone. Wooden Toruks, comfortable hammocks, and each one a special chair. Everyone’s name was etched on the back and although it was a bit smaller now, considering it was made for when you were toddlers, no one had grown out of sitting on it.
You smiled at the memory. It was like tradition for the Sully family– a silly one, but loved nonetheless. He first made you the wicker chair and although it was rather flimsy, you argued that Neteyam should have one as well when he came around.
It was so conflicting– to be able to remember your father was mean, despite being kind, then to know him as kind, despite being mean. You fear Jake could be every word you think of but the word father.
“Remember that time when we played hide-and-seek and we all thought Lo’ak cheated by hiding back at home only to find out we left him at the forest?” Kiri spoke, eyes fixated at the flames.
You chuckled, “Yeah, even dad was in on it– told us not to tell mom that we left him.”
“Oh– and that one time they left us to Mo’at to have their little dates and came home to see grandma knocked out and her hut a mess?”
You laughed, rather loudly this time. You remembered the memory like it was yesterday– little Neteyam wrapped from head to toe in bandages as you two tried to play healers; pastes and herbs were scattered everywhere while Lo’ak was playing to his own devices happily (something about kid Lo’ak and wanting to play alone most of the time). “Lo’ak and his lisp trying to explain why he was covered in warrior paint all over his body.”
“Ki-ti told me to do it!” Kiri squeaked out in her best impression of Lo’ak, before both of you burst into smothered laughter— careful not to wake anyone up. After taking a few moments to catch your breath, the area was silent once more. There was no sound other than the crackle of the fire, its flame illuminating the darkness in the vicinity.
“I’m trying to see the situation in both perspectives,” She starts once the quietness grows unbearable. You averted your gaze, not wanting to talk it out with her.
“I really don’t wanna talk about it, Kiri.” You threw your head back, your eyes burning a hole into the night sky.
“I just don’t want it to explode like what happened a while ago again.”
You kiss your teeth and let out an exasperated sigh, tongue clicking as you exhale. Deep down you knew that there was no getting out of this situation, so you may as well hear what they had to say. “Fine. What’s your diagnosis, doc?”
The flap of the hut's entrance is suddenly thrown back, revealing a rather disoriented looking Lo'ak stumbling out. It's clear he had just been stirred from his slumber. “You two aren’t as quiet as you think you are.” He said, his voice low. He made his way over to Kiri and sat down beside her with an audible yawn. “What is it this time?”
“Eywa tells me of your troubles,” Kiri starts, ignoring Lo’ak. “Father isn’t at all the greatest, I know, but he’s trying– His choices aren't really the best, but it’s what he knows. If you think about it, he was just as young once and you don’t exactly become a father twice.”
“What are you saying?”
“She’s saying– cut him some slack, maybe?” Lo'ak breaks the stillness with an unexpected remark, his voice quite loud in comparison to Kiri's careful words. His comment catches you off guard and you shift your position uncomfortably on your seat.
“Brother, you really have to stop going out with Spider. You and your lingo is getting harder and harder to discern.” Kiri jabs him from the side, “What he means to say is– maybe you should try being the bigger person instead?”
You let out a deep breath through your nostrils, not enjoying the direction of the conversation. Your brow crinkles in concentration as you try to make sense of why the discussion was taking this turn. You had no desire to pick apart the problem any further and yet, here you were– perhaps Neytiri told them to talk some sense to you? To quiet down for the sake of your old man?
Already sensing your anger, Lo’ak quickly interjects again. “Listen, It’s like,” He turns to you, the grogginess in his expression fading away and being replaced by something more serious. “If dad happens to reprimand us, we save our excuses or any reason we have. The response he wants is an apology and an apology is what you’re going to say– that’s it.”
“But that’s unfair.” You let out a groan, lips turning into a deep frown. “Especially to you and Neteyam.”
Lo’ak only lets out a playful scoff, as if he’s trying to lighten the mood. “You mean, especially to Neteyam. Bro’s an automated machine– expect him to immediately take the blame.” He says, grinning. “I think dad is just.. cracking the code still? Shit, I don’t know. He had to learn to live on two different stars. It must be hard on him.”
“Doesn’t it hurt you? Trying to understand someone older?”
Lo’ak stills for a minute as heavy silence envelopes everyone. “Of course it does. It stings a lot sis– but I think, no parent deserves a resentful son when all they wanted was for me to be better.”
Then it crashes down upon you like a heavy sack filled with rocks, a realization pressing directly against your chest as you watch Lo’ak’s face, illuminated against the flicker of the flames– the lights cast an image you failed to recognize before. Your brothers weren’t exactly immune to Jake’s ways either. He was equally as tough on them.
Maybe you can try for their sake. Maybe you should take the initiative instead of waiting for your father’s open arms.
“Why don’t you join us tomorrow instead? Take your mind off things. We’re visiting the old shack with Spider,” Lo'ak's hand carefully reaches for your hair, the tips of his fingers ruffling through your braids– a gesture he picked up after Neteyam. You chuckle, suddenly slightly embarrassed.
“Isn’t it dangerous?” You ask, eyebrows furrowed.
“It is,” Kiri answers for Lo’ak, giving him a pointed glare. “Tuk heard about it and is begging to come along.”
“More like blackmailed me– I’ll tell mom if you won’t let me come.” He put on a mocking impression of Tuk, sticking his tongue out in an exaggerated way. Kiri gave him another jab, causing him to hiss in response. “But it should be safe.”
Kiri rolls her eyes. “We are so getting into trouble.”
“You guys go,” You say, back resting against the chair again. “Think I should fix the situation with dad first before getting in trouble again.”
You feel Kiri’s eyes on you– gaze emitting a sense of gratitude, almost like a tangible thank you for trying. It’s funny how she’s younger than you and yet she looked out for you more than you had.
You let out a deep sigh as the three of you settled in, reveling in the quiet serenity of the woods. The soft sounds of the forest enveloped you, providing a sense of calm that was hard to miss. Slowly, it lulled you all to a familiar kind of comfort.
Breakfast was unsurprisingly silent.
You felt like the room was full of robots, their limbs jerking and movements mechanically programmed as they ate. As everyone shifted ever so slightly, it seemed almost like they were doing it robotically - stiff and slow. It was like they were walking on eggshells around you and it was hard not to roll your eyes.
It was painfully awkward– a hard watch as Jake tried hard not to make eye contact with you. Neytiri would occasionally jab him from the side and pinch the fat of his thigh. ‘Talk to her.’ – her glare would send him the message.
He lets out a sigh before visibly gulping. “Y/n.”
Your head suddenly jerks upwards from the bowl resting in your lap, startled by your father’s voice calling for you. Neytiri watches in anticipation while your heart pounded madly against your chest. Suddenly, the air fills with tension as all movement ceases. Not a single soul speaks or breathes– waiting.
“Pass the salt.” Jesus Christ.
You give him a deadpan expression, stretching your arms over to pass it to him. He carefully takes it, shaking it over his already salty meal. Neytiri could only push her hands against her face in frustration, a groan of exasperation coming from deep within. After a few minutes, she finishes up and leaves with Tuk in her arms. The rest follow suit.
“I’m off,” You finish cleaning up the table, standing up from your seat and grabbing the weapons you needed for an impromptu hunt. Without waiting for a reply, you left Jake alone on the table.
As you trekked further into the forest, you prayed to Eywa for guidance. You were careful to smear the war paint onto your cheeks and forehead– breathing labored, but focused nonetheless.
You figured, your father has been doing bad from the recent hunts– only coming home with fruits and small portions of meat, sometimes none at all. It was that kind of season where the animals were out to hide and hibernate. You didn’t know where you got the confidence that you’d be able to return with something, considering the best next best warriors could hardly do so.
You had to try regardless; you thought that perhaps it could be a way for you and Jake to open up a conversation with each other. Maybe he could soften down his glare a bit when you come home with something to eat– but as hours passed and the sun burned to noon, you were only met with disappointment.
You stopped by an unfamiliar area, leaning against a tree as you tried to catch your breath. You regret not bringing your ikran with you– just what were you thinking?
As if the great mother had noticed your desperation, a familiar sound roars from a distance. Your ears perked up as you tried to walk through the thick bushes. A lone sturmbeest, drinking by the river. You sighed in relief before hurriedly taking your bow out of your back. They mostly traveled by a herd, but today might just be your luckiest– you stretch your arms, carefully approaching the animal.
Just this once, you pleaded, be in my favor.
The journey home was dreadful. You had been carrying meat and a few bones for what seemed like hours on end, feeling the strain in your back from the task. It was a small sturmbeest– presumably female by the size, but it should be enough to provide meals for a week or so. Before you knew it, eclipse approached fast and you were eager to meet your hammock.
You couldn’t see; unable to hold any form of light as you needed both hands to carry the heavy sack, but the thought of going home with something to proudly show your father rekindled the sense of pride that was long gone; a feeling you hadn't had in a long time– burned by the countless times you’ve tried to gain even a drop of recognition.
You were successful in hunting a sturmbeest when no one couldn’t for the past weeks– your father would be proud and that was all the strength you needed to continue waking.
Noticing the familiar path back to the clan, a surge of adrenaline courses through your body from the thought of already nearing home. But as the horns blared from the village, you felt nothing but confusion– What could it mean and why this late? You quickened your pace towards them.
Ikrans flew in, landing at the open space as everyone gathered around. You squeezed your way in through the crowd– stomach churning as the sound of Tuk's cries became more and more clear with every step; but before you could run to your baby sister, you were harshly pulled back. You immediately recognize your father’s calloused hands, but this time his grip was harsh– unrelenting. Careful not to trip on your feet, you steadied yourself, head looking up to meet his glare.
“Where were you?”
And just like that, your thoughts come crashing down around you from the sight of your father towering your figure, leaning in slightly. You feel it in the pit of your stomach; this wasn't what you wanted to come home to, this wasn't what you were expecting.
“Sir I–”
“The kids are hurt,” Neytiri hissed, tugging him sharply away from you. “For once, hold your tongue.”
He gives you one last glance, nostrils flaring as he walks away. That was your cue to trail behind. You walked behind him, eyes cast downwards as your thoughts raced through your mind. Neytiri is quick to come and stand by your side, soft kisses pressed into the top of your head. “Are you hurt, ma’ite? Where were you?” She softly asks.
You pause, feeling the words on the tip of your tongue leave the moment you try to open your mouth to speak. For some reason, you felt embarrassed— ashamed.
“What happened?” You whispered as you neared your grandmother’s hut. You glanced back to your sibling’s shivering figures, all of them unable to look you in the eye. Neytiri didn’t answer either– didn’t know how to tell you that they had found them once again. They processed the severity of the situation still, clearly shaken up and scared.
Everyone stepped inside, Mo'at immediately gathering each of them in a warm embrace. She spoke her thanks to Eywa in a gentle murmur, kissing the top of their heads. Neytiri quickly drew Tuk into her own arms, easing her shaking body.
“Outside, now.” Jake whispers before leaving. You take one last look around at all the people in the room before finally following him, your palms beginning to sweat as your anxiety intensifies.
Once you both find yourselves in a place where there were no lingering stares or whispers, (and without Neytiri having to save your ass this time), he turns to you, anger just as fiery as before. He strides back and forth, feet heavy on the ground as he attempts to choose his words carefully.
“I–” He started to speak, but then averted his gaze, his jaw clenched tight as he tried again. “Where were you?”
You try to swallow the lump forming in your throat as you mull over the question, taking a deep breath before finally attempting to answer. “I went out on a hunt. I have–”
“Without telling anyone firsthand? With scattered avatars over the perimeter?” Jake is quick to interject, arms flailing in anger. “Just what were you thinking? You knew about them going to the old shack and you did nothing to prevent it?”
Your shoulders slump wearily, feeling extremely overwhelmed. “I only wanted to–”
“Jesus Christ, it’s always about what you want, yeah? You with wanting to be olo’eykte, you with wanting to be heard. You and your goddamn wants had us all worried!”
And as you listen to him raise his voice, you turn younger and younger– until you were that same kid trying to tug on his arms to look at your first hit; that same kid who would do anything just for a moment of his time. It was like being ten years old all over again and realizing that he was slowly slipping away. That’s where you finally decided that Jake— your father, was just capable of unloving a child.
You take a step back, feeling the frustration boiling over as well. “Well maybe if you were a better father, they wouldn’t have the need to go against you every once in a while!” You shouted with the same volume as his, “You act as if we’re some sort of troops rather than a family–”
“I do it for you– for everyone! To keep them safe! You think it’s easy?”
“Well you did a pretty good job because from what I see, they’re shaking in their boots inside grandma’s hut!” You sarcastically remarked, “Best dad of Pandora, yeah?”
“Jesus Christ,” He mutters under his breath before looking up, as if he was pleading for Eywa to lengthen his patience. He then looked at you, eyes momentarily softening. You were breathing heavily, fangs baring. It was funny, he thought. You weren’t his daughter and yet you stood in front of him now looking exactly like him.
What he didn’t understand was that it wasn't Tsu’tey’s attitude that was passed down to you– rather, it was Jake’s anger you inherited. This was all him. All his fault.
“I thought I had it good, having Toruk Makto as a father. Five year old me was the proudest, if not a bit boastful too.” You muttered, gaze not meeting his. “There’s this huge difference that draws the line between being the olo’eyktan and a father and you’re doing a real shit job at the latter.”
I miss the latter, you failed to say.
You failed to see the way his ears flattened against his head, how his shoulders dropped like he couldn’t hold the weight of the world’s pressure anymore– but you were unable to see him. No, you two didn’t see each other eye to eye. To know that you failed your child was something a parent would never want to hear. His own daughter resented him and it was a heartache beyond repair.
“You think you make parenting any easier for me?”
“Then I wish you never took me in!”
It was such a thoughtless thing to do; to utter words that you know will only harm you more than they would ever heal - but it was there, finally out of your system; a though that lingered for as long as you can remember. Why take me in? Why raise a kid you wouldn't be able to care for?
You only wished that words could be undone but neither of you knew when to bite one's tongue back.
“Yeah?” He challenged, letting out a mocking snicker. “I really wish I didn’t– is that what you want me to say? Then go ahead and leave. Find a new family, see if they won’t find you any less difficult.”
And that was the final blow– the push you needed to leave. You looked at him in disbelief, vision blurry with tears. You shoved the bag right to his chest, forgetting it momentarily amidst the shouting session you just had with your father; the one you desperately wanted to present to him. With nothing else to say, you stormed off, leaving him behind.
Oh Eywa, there is nothing else as undoing as being an eldest daughter.

Tsu'tey x Pregnant!Mate Headcanons
okay but after writing child of our own i couldn't stop thinking about how tsu'tey would react to his mate's first pregnancy
masterlist
you'd find out about your pregnancy, when tsu'tey is away on a mission with jake
at first, you think that your mood swings and dizziness is probably bc you miss tsu'tey too much and you haven't been taking good care of yourself
but on the third day, when you can't seem to fall asleep without him by your side, you start getting these thoughts that you might be pregnant
you don't want to get overexcited, in case it's nothing, so you decide to check with mo'at in the morning
when mo'at confirms your suspicions, you can't hold back tears of joy
so for the next days you can't wait for tsu'tey to come back to tell him the news
when tsu'tey finally comes from the mission, you greet him with a sweet kiss and a hug that you want to last forever
tsu'tey is a little surprised by how much he missed him (he still has a hard time believing that he had a mate like you) but he gladly holds you in his arms, having missed you insanely in the past few days
he doesn't care about the giddy smiles and curious glances he gets from his friends who rarely get to see this side of him
when tsu'tey is finally annoyed by their teasing and needs you to himself, he lifts you over his shoulder and walks to your home
once you're inside, he sits you down, and kneels in between your legs
for a moment, the two of you can't stop touching and kissing each other
"i have to tell you something," you tease him, peppering his face with small kisses
tsu'tey has to work a bit to get it out of you, he sees how excited you are but he can't seem to figure out why
instead of telling him with words, you bring his palm to your stomach
while it's still unnoticeable (of course), mo'at told you that there was already a strong heartbeat
bc na'vi are more sensitive with their hearing and touch, tsu'tey feels something too
at first, he doesn't want to give himself hope, so he looks back at you to check for your reaction
he frowns, as you break into a giddy smile
to check again, now suspecting exactly what you're trying to tell him, tsu'tey presses his ear against your stomach and catches the faintest beat
"are you with our child?" he asks, his voice very low, like he is scared it is not true
you're so overjoyed, you can't seem to answer with words, so tsu'tey has to pull back to see you nodding your head
"thank you, great mother," he whispers, before pulling you into his arms
"are you sure?" "yes, mo'at confirmed"
tsu'tey is not very expressive but by the way his heart starts racing and his eyes blink rapidly, you can tell that he's happy
for the rest of that day, tsu'tey can't stop holding you and kissing you, literally is glued to you
he constantly wants to touch you, just to make sure you're by his side
whether it's his tail grazing your back or his knee touching yours when you're sat down
he always needs to feel you, hold you close to himself
he also presses his ear against your stomach again to hear the hearbeat of your child
you can't help but laugh every time he does that bc his ear tickles your skin
but because of your laughter, tsu'tey has a hard time hearing the heartbeat, so his hands reach to hold you in place
he grunts and huffs when you keep laughing
"let me hear my child," he orders which makes you laugh even harder
that night, and every night after, tsu'tey likes being a big spoon so he can rest his arms around your middle
he rubs slow circles over your tummy, and presses soft kisses to the side of your head and to your temple
"i can't wait to meet our child," he whispers as you fall asleep
"thank you for making me the happiest man"
he'd then quietly pray to eywa, thinking you can't hear him
"thank you, great mother, for giving me a second chance at true happiness"

Tsu'tey x Norm
FINALLY I FINISHED I SWEAR GOSHiejeis, yesterday i wrote this down but then as I went to save it for then posting it, it got cancelled.
So this morning at five am i started to work on this and I'm happy to announce that i finished it at five pm. I love life, don't you guys love her too?.
Take this post/reblog as a post for both today and yesterday because i haven't slept for maybe 18 hours straight and I'm starting to see shot black and whites.
@be-the-glenn-to-my-maggie sorry if this isn't exactly what you were expecting, I imagined the beginning of their story and then wrote it down.
"Hi!" A tiny voice reaches Tsu'tey ears, and as he turn around he find himself to stare at three young children coming to him and his friends.
The little girl don't waist her time, and got to her mother for a hug, meanwhile slowly the other two figures reached Tsu'tey and the other two adults.
Hand in hand is Neteyam with Spider, Neteyam the oldest child of Tsu'tey dearest friends, and Spider a human boy the Sully kids have welcome as their friend.
the latter as he and Neteyam gets closer, light up when he sees Tsu'tey.
Tsu'tey knows that every young (respectable) boy goes through a phase of administration to the most strong warrior of the clan, he remembered his, and that was for fýlï a strong and young warrior, who didn't reach the verge of their thirty seasons.
All the respect Tsu'tey could ever have was for them.
But
He didn't expect that Spider, the closes kid with Toruk Maktao who wasn't part of his family, choose Tsu'tey as a model.
And Tsu'tey needs to admit that everytime he could, he would brag about it to Jake, making the other turn 'green from jealousy' as once her old teacher, Grace, said describing a person who is jealous.
Without everything could even happen, Neytiri quickly toke Neteyam in his arms snatching him out of Spider hands.
And poor Spider had the worst look that could ever be done by a child, sadness.
Still no one said anything, done anything.
And quickly Spider attention was again on Tsu'tey, the little one coming near the older man with caution (which Tsu'tey didn't approve of!) Showed his injured arm.
That poor little arm all covered in blood and dirt, but the child wasn't complain like every other kid would, he was showing off his bruises.
"What happened to your arm?" Tsu'tey asked and he lowered himself to the child level, which was quite difficult since Spider barely reached his knee.
"We were playing on this branch! And then i falled off! Look at what i got!" Spider exclaimed, showing off his arm again with even more proud then before.
"How did it happen?" Tsu'tey was looking carefully if Spider had some sort of visible pain in his arm or worst, a broken bone that couldn't be see if not looked better.
But there was only blood and dirt, and obliusy the bruise were the blood came from.
"I'm sorry uncle Tsu'tey it was my fault, me and Spider were playing on this branch and mean we were joking I accidentally pushed him of it." Neteyam said driving Tsu'tey attention to the family, and he could help but notice Neytiri's smug smile.
A child as tall as your youngest son falls of a branch and you smile about it?!
without even realizing it, Tsu'tey makes a hiss to them, shuing everyone.
And as he turns to face Spider as well, he notices that the kid toke a step back from him.
I scared him, fuck.
"I'm bringing him home, and also me and you two should have a little talk." He tells the other adults and Without a response he picks up the child, and start to walk away from the young family.
As he begins his path, he tries to calm the boy down because he was still agitated on the hiss of before, probably thinking it was for him.
"So how old are you?" Tsu'tey asks and Spider only do four fingers at him.
"Four?! Already this big? Should i call you sir then?" Tsu'tey jokes but from the child only a quick smile.
Silent falls on them.
Tsu'tey could even stop to try talks to him, and bring him home safely Without saying a word to him.
But there was something,
Something in him that was telling him to have a litteral chat with that kid.
the first thing he learned during his training years, was to always trust his instinct.
"Do you wanna know why i am limping?" He asks and Spider nods shyly, his tiny head placed on the chest of Tsu'tey as him was walking the path that leaded to hell gates.
"Do you know the story of the great battle?" Tsu'tey asked and Spider nodded again, Tsu'tey to try calm Spider even more places his free hand on top of the boy head and started caressing it.
"Well, during the attacks, i was riding my beautiful ikran, but at some point i got attacked when i was on board of those...emh what was the name of it?"
He paused, searching his memory for the elusive term. The child looked up at him, their gaze filled with awe and curiosity.
A sudden flash of realization crossed Tsu'tey's face as the name finally resurfaced in his mind. With a faint smile, he continued his sentence, "Ah, yes, the human vessels. They call them 'ships of the sky.'"
'Ships? Wait you mean the helicopter?" Spider finally talked.
"Yes! That" Tsu'tey responded ruffling the younger hair, which made him giggle.
The kid was finally back.
"Anyway I tumbled down from a staggering height, about sixty meters, if you can believe it!"
He held up his hands, palms facing downwards, as if mimicking his descent. Tsu'tey's voice carried a touch of whimsy, making the tale sound almost like an adventure rather than an unfortunate incident.
"And guess what happened next?" Tsu'tey continued, his tone now a blend of mock astonishment and self-deprecating humor. "My right leg, the poor thing, decided to break completely! Crack! Like a snapped branch in the wind!"
"Eww" Spider let himself escape and he harder his grip on Tsu'tey
He pretended to examine his leg, pointing with an exaggerated expression of pain before quickly resuming his playful demeanor.
"But hey, here comes the fun part! Lucky for me, some really clever humans came to my aid and put this metal in my leg, almost like a bone but way stronger!" He said, sounding impressed with the technology.
Tsu'tey's voice carried a mix of amusement and admiration for human ingenuity.
And Spider eyes wides under his mask, he let himself escape a 'cool'
Spider, looks up at Tsu'tey with wide eyes, his small arm adorned with bruises. Tsu'tey couldn't help but chuckle softly at the adorable -even if cruel- sight.
He began to hold tighter than he has to Spider.
Spider, sensing Tsu'tey's amusement, mustered his limited vocabulary and began to weave a tale, his words stumbling out in a mix of Na'vi and English. Tsu'tey listened intently, finding joy in Spider's innocent attempts to express himself.
As they walk, Spider points to the vibrant flora around them, attempting to describe the colors he was seeing. "Umm... green... big tree!" he exclaims, his voice filled with excitement.
Tsu'tey smile, his deep voice resonating through the forest. "Yes, little one. The trees here are indeed magnificent, reaching high into the sky, touching Eywa."
Spider's eyes wide in wonder. "Eywa...big spirit?"
Tsu'tey nods, impressed by Spider's observation. "Yes, Spider. Eywa, or the great mother, is the great spirit that connects all living things on Pandora. She watches over us and guides us."
Spider's face lit up, and he continues his tale with newfound confidence. "Eywa...umm...helps people made friends!"
Tsu'tey's laughter rumbled through his chest. "Yes, Spider. Eywa helps us make friends! and she protects us. We are all connected in her embrace."
Encouraged by Tsu'tey's response, Spider went on, attempting to weave a story of adventure and friendship, using the limited words he knew. Tsu'tey listens attentively, fully engaged in Spider's imaginative tale.
Only when they are outside the gates of hell gates he stops.
"Daddy!" Spider exclaims being to be more agitated.
Tsu'tey let his gaze up, only to face Norm.
Norm, he was always something else, totally different from Tsu'tey and his people, that should have let Tsu'tey to hate him.
But there was something in Norm eyes, both humans and avatar, the same sparkle that was in Tsu'tey late lover.
Even if the two of them were so different, they were so equal.
Both had a love for pandora, both could name all plants that came in Tsu'tey mind.
Both had that extremely love for adventures, only to stop every few minutes to contemplat the things around them.
Both had the sparkle...
The things to list were too much.
Tsu'tey was pleasant to see that the sparkle -and that stupid charming smile- didn't disappear.
Then the guilty kicked in.
Tsu'tey didn't see Norm in almost two yeas, and it wasn't like he couldn't he just didn't.
Norm got closer and picked Spider in his arms, although his eyes were fixed on Tsu'tey.
"Hi" Norm simply says, and a smile enters his face, meanwhile Spider was looking at both Tsu'tey and Norm doing back and forth with his head, for then giggle.
"Daddy, do you wanna know what i did today?" Spider said bringing Norm attention on him, and the avatar eyes becomes one of love and proud.
"Yes! But i got this idea, why don't you go eat some ice cream of banana fruit, uncle Max should be in the kitchen ready to give it to you." Norm says and Spider eyes light ups at the words 'ice cream', then he jumps off Norm arms running into the gates, letting out a "Bye!" To the two adults behind them.
"What happened to his arm?" Norm asks bringing back his attention on Tsu'tey.
"Oh...he felled down a branch but he is alright, some emh..bandaid and he will be alright" Tsu'tey struggles a little on the English words making Norm chuckles.
"Is nice to see you after all this time" Norm says with a cautious tone, almost afraid that he would have just turn around and got away.
"I didn't know Spider was your son, who is the lucky one?" Tsu'tey asks ignoring the words Norm said before.
His mind was now only focused on one thing: who are they?
He knew that humans didn't mate for life like na'vi did, humans could just do the act of reproductive with whoever they wanted.
When Norm explained it to Tsu'tey years before, he remembered the other saying how romantic it was for na'vi to mate only with one person for the rest of their life, but he remembers saying how interesting it was to be able to mate with multiple persons during a lifetime, begin able to experience every type of intimacy with differents partners sounded fun.
And then Jake explained the things that could have been done with multiple people, and Neytiri next to him making disgusted sounds, that didn't fell everyone in their tiny group to laugh.
"There is no one, i adopted Spider a year and a half ago. I'm growing him by myself" Norm explains and a lound sound of relief go out of Tsu'tey and silent falls over.
"I'm sorry that i didn't visit you" Tsu'tey tells with a tone of remorse
"What? No no, it's my fault, you were still grieving and getting adapt to the new leg without counting the PTSD and all the clan things you needed to handle, it's my fault" Norm protest
"No, you were raising a child and working without counting your illness after...well everything" Tsu'tey says.
"The point is that we are both dickheads" Norm concludes making a laugh escape Tsu'tey lips.
And at the sound of it, Norm looks pleased, which gives Tsu'tey the desire to throw some special words at the single father.
"You know i never got the chance to explore the forest and mountains to their fullest" Norm says, his eyes were wondering all over Tsu'tey body, something that would have made him uncomfortable but right now was needed.
"I'd be honored to show you the wonders of our world, Norm. I can make you explore the jungles and the skies, witness the beauty of Eywa together, and who knows what else we might discover along the way." Tsu'tey says coming dangerously close to each other, their lips a few centimeters away from eachother.
"Sounds like a plan, Tsu'tey. I'm ready to dive headfirst into this adventure with you." Norm responds, and his hands were wondering around Tsu'tey arms.
Tsu'tey leans closer to get the kiss he thinks have the right, but he founds himself meeting only air causes Norm pulled away.
"See you after the third hour of the moon this night" Norm simply says walking away into hell gates, his tail going back and forth.
Without saying anything Tsu'tey begins his path to return, after all, he now had a date now.
Hi!
So, I've seen a few sporadic opinions from you on the different parental figures, adoptive or otherwise, people have come up with for Spider. Since I absolutely love reading your opinions and ideas regarding Avatar, I really wanted to ask: based on what you've seen from the fandom so far, what do you think of the different parents people give Spider?
Thanks! :)
Hi! Aww, I appreciate that! Sure, let's see what we can come up with.
So, I have given a few more detailed thoughts on most parents for Spider, so if anyone wants those just ask for those specific ones. Here I will just give basic thoughts.
Miles Quaritch; this one should be obvious. Bad, abusive, parent. Can never be a good one, their entire relationship at this point is built on manipulation and forced trauma bonding. He Patty Hearst'ed this child. The fandom is kidding themselves and it does make me upset.
Paz Socorro; this one is a tad more understandable, but the push to make Paz a sympathetic character confuses me. We only know canonical bad things about her. She could be anything though, she's a blank slate, so even though it isn't a headcanon I enjoy, it doesn't bother me.
Sully Family: I've made many longer posts about this, but they are my favorite Spider parents. Not only is it where the story intends to go, but it's so interesting. I love found familys, even when it hurts and it's a little fucked up, and that's just where he belongs in my opinion. They have the ability to understand him better than anyone else ever could.
Tonowari and Ronal: This one to me, while usually adorable, is like a fun little delusional fantasy. It's hard for me to get into because it feels so out of reality. That lovely cunty bitch Ronal is nEVER going to be nice to Spider. She is going to treat him like dirt next movie in the beginning, and it is going to break our little hearts. Obsessed with her, lol. Let her be the judgemental bitch she is.
Tsu'tey and Norm Spellman: These ones both mean the entire world to me, not gonna lie. Not as much as Spider Sully, but it's god damn close. It's like he's Spider Sully and still had a good childhood but still was raised with the Sully kids as their barnacle bestie, and can still be in any of his rarepairs. It makes my day. Someone write me one where Norm and Tsu'tey raise Spider tOGETHER, while being IN LOVE.

IT IS TIME
summary: tsu'tey is excited to finally meet his baby girl, though your pregnancy stresses him, the pains becoming unbearable as it becomes time.
contents: labour, fluff, dad!tsu'tey, pregnancy, domestic bliss
authors note: this is connected to my kxani series! however it can totally be read as a one shot it makes sense either way.
You could never deny how excited you were to finally meet your child. To hear their cry, listen to their first breath. The thought of becoming a mother was enough to make your heart smile.
Tsu’tey felt the same, maybe even more excited. The only downside was that he was extremely worried for you. The pregnancy was hard, complications rising every couple of weeks. Whether you were not keeping a single thing down, to getting hot sweats and cold shivers, along with the aches and pains racking through out your body. He was a mess just hoping you were doing okay.
“Yawne you have to lay down.” His slender body was close behind you, as you held onto your stomach, another shooting back pain going through you as you braced yourself for another one.
“I- I am fine Tsu’tey, it is normal.” Tsu’tey let out a loud sigh, indicating his disapproval.
“But it is hurting you, please? Let us walk to bed.” You were defeated, another pain shooting through you as you hissed in his ear from the pain. His ears pinned to his head as he softly directed you towards the woven mat to your space within Hometree.
Shuffling awkwardly down to the mat, Tsu’tey stood in front of you, assessing you to make sure you were not in any extra pain. “I will get you some medicine for the pain.”
“Tsu’tey it is not that bad.”
“Stop enduring it when you don’t have to, we have medicine, Tsa’hik can help you.” His eyes were begging you to accept some help. He didn’t want you to endure this pain. The mound on your stomach was already going to hurt enough when his little child left you. He did not want any extra pain.
“…fine.” Tsu’tey smiled, bending down to give you a forehead kiss before making his way towards the Tsa’hik’s tent.
The medicinal smells always overwhelmed him. He had no idea how Mo’at sat in this room day in day out.
“Tsa’hik.” Mo’at turned to her most frequent visitor ever since you had conceived.
“What is it child?” Tsu’tey walked through the entrance, now being welcomed into the entirety of her chamber.
“Y/N, she is in a lot of pain. Is there anything to help?” Mo’at sighed, overlooking her collection of herbs and pastes.
“Are you sure she is not in her final stage? The baby is fully grown.” Tsu’tey panicked for a bit, the thought of leaving you alone for even a second when you may be in childbirth stresses him.
“You said that the child would not come until after the next 5 eclipses.” Tsu’tey was fidgeting, eyes assessing Mo’at as she gave him a knowing look.
“The entry of life into this world is continuously unpredictable.” Tsu’tey’s ears were pinned, his tail stiff as he continuously looked out to the door, needing to go check her you immediately. “Come, bring this with me, I will check on her.”
Mo’at was right. You were definitely in labour. By the time Tsu’tey had returned you were rocking back and forth from the tight contractions within you.
“Tsu’tey! The child…it is- ARGH!” You let out a pained groan as another contraction ripped through you.
He was by your side immediately, one hand in yours as the other stroked hair out of your beading forehead. “She is going to be here so soon yawne.”
You weren’t sure how time was passing if time was going slow or fast. All you could focus on was the building pressure within you and the pain it brought as it tried to release from you.
Mo’at had inspected your labour three times already, saying that it was not ready. The fourth this time she let out a small gasp, her face growing concentrated as she knew what was to come.
“What! What is it?!” Tsu’tey was more panicked than you were, his continuous kisses to your hand as he was knelt next to you, eyes pleading for Mo’at to talk.
“It is time…”
Whatever pain you felt had washed away the moment you heard your beautiful girl’s cry. Her piercing cry bringing tears to both you and Tsu’tey’s eyes.
You were sat in bed, your sweet girl nestled in your chest as you nestled into Tsu’teys chest. His heart was full of pride. So proud to have such a strong mate, a strong woman that brought his beautiful girl into the world.
“What do you think she should be called?” Your raspy voice was soft too afraid to wake the sleepy child in your arms. She was so small, so precious. You could see Tsu’tey in her, her ears and nose were exactly like her father.
“Lei’ra” It was a name that came to him in a dream, a dream where he was living with you happily, snuggled in his arms as his baby cooed in their small mat.
“It is perfect Tsu’tey.” He smiled down at his two beautiful girls. Oh how Eywa had blessed him. He will be forever grateful. He watched how the small eyelids of his child fluttered, tiny ears twitching the more you both talked.
“I told you she was a girl, her strong spirit was easy to sense.” You rolled your eyes, feeling Tsu’tey’s smug smile on your neck as he kissed you softly.
“Lucky guess.”
“The luckiest thing here is me. Thankyou my love.” His hands hugged your waist softly, still weary of your tender body. He brought if finger up towards Lei’ra.
She twitched slightly, before her entire hand enclosed his fingertip, showing just how tiny she was compared to him. He could feel his chest grow tight, throat closing as tears brimmed his eyes.
“Are you crying baby?” Tsu’tey nodded and you felt it, he couldn’t talk scared his voice would crack and wake his sleeping girl. “She looks like you my love.”
“You think so?” His heart swelled, noticing the way she resembled him, noticing the way she resembled you. He didn’t think he could love anything more than the two beautiful girls in his arms.
“I hope she has your heart my love.” Tsu’tey sniffled giving you another kiss as his gaze fixated on the small child. Her long eyelashes, the small bits of hair swirling on her head, her rising chest, her soft breathes.
She was perfect. Just like you.

Ok, but I've been having this tought for some time now and I gotta share it:
So Tsu'Tey is just casually having a convo w/someone in the human lab while simultaneously holding like a almost year-old Spider in his other arm who is peacefully playing with his braids and at some point he puts a braid in his mouth, with which Tsu'Tey is not bothered by cos he does so all the time, and yknow the little beads at the end of his braids? Well, when Spider pulls the braid out of his mouth THEY'RE GONE and Tsu somehow manages to notice that and they just stare at each other for a good couple of seconds before Tsu'Tey promptly starts yelling: "SPIT THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, DON'T YOU DARE SWALLOW THEM!" and trying to get the beads out of Spiders mouth. Eventually he manages to retrieve 2 out of 3 beads with Spider managing to swallow 1 and Tsu'Tey demands the scientists do some scans on him and such to make sure he's not gonna like, choke on it in his sleep. In the end the scientists couldn't get it out, Tsu is stressed and Spider is just happy to be there (but dw he prolly like poops it out later or smt 😅)
Tsu'tey is stressed but Spider was clearly hungry, what was the poor little love supposed to do? Starve? You can bet Tsu'tey isn't letting that kid anywhere near his braids again :D Absolutely LOVE this idea!!!
ALSO, the fact human babies learn but putting LOADS of random things in their mouths, which means Tsu'tey has to learn how to redirect him otherwise Spider will in fact ingest something he's not supposed to. Bonus points if Na'vi babies have some built in sense to know what is poisonous and what is not (they're aliens, it's not impossible). Whereas Tsu'tey is just infinitely stressed going "PUT THAT DOWN!" "SPIDER, NO!" "HAVE SOME YOVO FRUIT INSTEAD!" And the scientists all just watch in silence and awe as this eight foot something alien BOLTS across the compound to tackle an oblivious baby, who is lifting some kind of insect he found under someone's bunk bed up to his mouth. They don't call him Spider for nothing afterall.
Bonus Memes:
#the fact i can visualise how Tsu'tey is looking at Spider#the absolute horror and confusion on this man's face#Tsu'tey's just looking at Spider like why would you do that#Whilst Spider just stares back at him blankly with his enormous little eyes#The moment of silence before all hell breaks loose#Tsu'tey#tsu'tey avatar#dad tsu'tey#Spider soccorro#baby spider#father-son shenanigans#this is a common occurance#Spider was definitely the kid that ate everything#including bugs#Tsu'tey isn't always quick enough to stop him#avatar#avatar twow

Avatar 2: The Water Way Tickle Headcanons
Aonung Tonowari'itan
Aonung is terribly sensitive when it comes to being ticklish and almost never allows someone to tickle him although usually he only allows his parents or his baby brothers and although he would never tell anyone... also Kiri.
Aonung occasionally gets into tickling fights between him and his adoptive baby brother Rotxo. However, when he gets into trouble he has to receive punishments full of tickling attacks by his parents.
Aonung often tickled his baby brother Rotxo a lot while they grew up, chasing him for his mauri and tickling him to tears.
Aonung is quite picky. It is so much so that he can't stand them saying the word tickle and much less can he stand his little brothers and his parents moving their fingers towards him and in front of him. And he has to beg for mercy and mercy before they touch him or even before they even start tickling him.
Aonung has always been sensitive even when he was still a baby.
Aonung usually has to be my reserved for others to discover that he is tickled so in general it prevents others from knowing it. When Kiri found out, she tickled him until he literally cried. Of course that stayed between them.
Aonung has a lot of tickles, so many that literally work as many lighter tickles as the hardest tickles can be overwhelming.
Aonung has so many tickles that he literally can't stand being bitten in his stomach and ears. In addition to that, as soon as Kiri discovered the high sensitivity, she blew so many raspberries at Aonung all over his stomach that he began to cry and scream with laughter and it was still with his ears. Aonung also ended up screaming and screaming with laughter when Kiri tickled him using his tail to attack him in his navel and also in his ear and although Aonung can momentarily reduce his loud and vaunted laughter, there are always some whining laughs mixed.
After Neteyam's death. Aonung's parents as well as his baby sister tickled him along with his baby brother Rotxo without having mercy on either of them. And despite the fact that Aonung doesn't have self-control when it comes to that. However, he felt happier after that. Especially when he and his baby brother Rotxo discovered that, like them, their father was also tickled.
Aonung's laughter is absolutely childish and adorable. But she ends up releasing screams, laughter and squeals of laughter as a little girl.
His tickle death points are the armpits, the ears, the stomach (although his belly button is the most sensitive part of his stomach) and the waist. The only irony is that Aonung tickles the same places and places as his father Tonowari.
Lo'ak te Suli Tsyeyk'itan
Lo'ak is super sensitive and usually he... doesn't like to be tickled, to say the least. Despite the fact that when he was younger he used to like it a lot more that they tickle him. Lo'ak usually has the one who suffers the most from tickling attacks by his older brothers (Kiri and Neteyam) along with his baby sister Tuk and especially from his parents. And despite the fact that Lo'ak often hates accepting it... he is the most picky in his family, since he has more tickles than his older brother and his dad as well.
His mom and dad along with their older brothers (Kiri and Neteyam) along with their baby sister Tuk. They have to tickle him a lot, especially after they moved in with the Metkayina. And after Lo'ak met Payakan, both his mom and dad tickled him as punishment. And after Lo'ak became Payakan's spiritual brother. And after his dad will take him, that's when his dad instead of making a knot in his tail as he had said before. He and his mom tickled him without having mercy on him.
And after Neteyam's death. His dad and his mom tickled him and Spider mercilessly before then Lo'ak will find out together with his dad and his mom that Spider had saved Quaritch. Despite that, Lo'ak and Spider found out that their dad, was also tickled.
And after that, when Lo'ak was sitting on the shore gate, one day he ended up meeting Tsireya who also ended up discovering that he was tickled. Needless to say, Tsireya ended up reducing Lo'ak to the point of ending up crying and screaming with laughter.
She has a laugh that is surprisingly childish full of tenderness, Lo'ak also has to scream, squeal and laugh like a little girl when she is very tickled.
Lo'ak occasionally tries to escape when they try to tickle him. When Lo'ak and Spider's parents mercilessly made him poor Lo'ak had to be held by both of them so that his parents could make him laugh. And when Tsireya tickled him mercilessly, he had to hold his hands under his knees.
Lo'ak has always been a bit sad that others discover that he has a lot of tickles. Although it is possible that he is mostly angry.
Lo'ak has so many shells that he can't stand being given raspberries in his stomach and especially in his navel and especially in his ears. And just as he doesn't ask to endure the raspberries on his waist and the bites will destroy him especially in the bones of his waist and in his ears.
His worst tickling points are his armpits, hips, stomach (especially his belly button) as well as his ears. Lo'ak can't stand being given mercilessly raspberries throughout his stomach and navel, just as he simply can't stand being tickled in his armpits for a very long time and the same is with his ears and above all his waist. The only irony is that just like Aonung. Lo'ak is also tickled in the same places as his dad in addition to the fact that he and Aonung are tickled in the same places.
Rotxo Tonowari'itan (Rotxo Ko'nal'itan)
Rotxo is absolutely picky and sensitive. And despite the fact that Rotxo almost never admits it out loud. He loves to be tickled and he loves to tickle others...especially his adoptive father Tonowari, his adopted older brother Aonung and his friends (Lo'ak, Aonung, Neteyam and Spider) although when it came to tickling Spider. Rotxo has to blush a lot, especially due to his obvious crush on Spider.
Rotxo is totally adorable when he is tickled, he has always been ticklish since he was a baby and a small child, his older siblings (Aonung and Tsireya) often tickled him just like their adoptive parents every time they tickled Rotxo. He had to make silly faces and funny grimaces while he continued laughing until they finally stopped.
Rotxo can't control his laughter, especially when he is given raspberries all over his stomach and in his ribs along with his sides, especially in his hypersensitive feet.
Rotxo is super picky. Aonung and Tsireya tickled her so much once that her father came running worried while her mother arrived shortly after due to her pregnancy she was so worried about her children but when they both saw that nothing was happening; the two were relieved to see that their older children were only tickling their adopted son Rotxo.
He has an adorable and childish laugh. Rotxo can barely stand it when he is tickled, Rotxo also has to let out snorts and many squeals along with screams of little girl laughter!.
After Neteyam's death. His parents made him carefree together with his siblings and despite the fact that Rotxo always says that he is already too old to be made care of him, he really likes them very much.
His death points are his ribs, his sides, the entire area of his stomach (especially in his belly button) and his feet. The poor Rotxo has so many tickles that he can never stand even two seconds.
Jake Sully (Tsyeyk Suli)
Jake is quite tickled and had never managed to protect himself from tickling. Jake has to constantly receive a lot of gossip from his wife and also has to tickle his children Neteyam and Lo'ak. Just like his adopted oldest son Spider.
Jake usually attacks his children with everything and Neytiri constantly helps him make them tickle although she also tends to tickle him constantly.
Jake frequently suffered the fits of his twin brother Thomas "Tommy". And sometimes when Neytiri was still teaching Jake to adapt like a Na'vi on one occasion Tsu'tey ended up discovering that he was tickled but fortunately for Jake. He also ended up discovering that Tsu'tey also had a lot of tickling.
Jake has to scream, scream and laugh with absolute hysteria. Neytiri discovered that if he made him laugh enough, Jake ended up snorting and his laughter becomes feminine.
The bites in his ears and sometimes in his waist, neck and raspberries all over his stomach absolutely destroy him. Jake can't stand them at all.
Jake literally has eight tickle points, the main tickle points he has are his armpits, his stomach (especially in his belly button), his waist and his ears, while the spots that tickle a little more are his elbows, his knees, his neck and his feet. Jake's twin brother, Thomas "Tommy" used to tickle him since they were young children. After Neytiri and he defeated the people of heaven in the first war on one occasion it ended up happening that Neytiri discovered that he was tickled and she began to use that against him to blackmail him and after they had her children Jake almost never allowed Neytiri to tickle him but then Neteyam's death. Neytiri ended up tickling him on one occasion after they both mercilessly tickled his sons Lo'ak and Spider.
Miles Quaritch
The poor Quaritch is super picky. Miles had never been able to stand the ticklish he had since he was little. Since he actually knew Lyle since they were both teenagers and Lyle constantly made him tickle when they were teenagers and when Miles met Paz Socorro. The first love of his life, she also ended up tickling him mercilessly.
All the recoms knew how sensitive and picky Quaritch is; he couldn't hide it to save his life. Because of this, they regularly puncture and push it.
Despite the fact that Miles would never admit it out loud. And physically he never showed it. Inside he got very nervous when someone points out his sensitivity (and how much he loves it). Her whole face always blushed, from her neck to her ears.
On one occasion Paz and Lyle held him and tickled him mercilessly all over his stomach, ribs, sides and feet until he cried once.
Quaritch can't help but start laughing even before they start tickling him, anticipation on its own to break any determination he has.
Although Quaritch would never physically admit it, he could never pronounce the word tickle; just listening to it will send him into a spiral.
And after he joined the Ash Clan and met Varang. Quaritch was constantly tickled by her. Since Varang tickled him every time he made a mistake about something or was distracted so that he would concentrate.
Miles laughter is absolutely attractive and adorable. He can't stand when raspberries blow all over his stomach (and especially in his belly button), Quaritch could never stand it when he was bitten by his waist bones, his sides and his ribs. And his feet are mortally ticklish, he can't stand the tickling at all.
The death points of Miles' tickle are his ribs, his sides, as well as his entire stomach (especially in his belly button) and his hypersensitive feet. Quaritch constantly also ended up being tickled by his Ikran, Cupcake.
Spyder te Suli Tsyeyk’itan (Spyder te Sokoro Myils'ita)
Spider is extremely picky, he has never been able to stand being tickled. Since he was a baby he had always been picky, his biological mother constantly tickled him when he was a baby. And sometimes his biological father Quaritch, when he was still human, also tickled Spider.
Spider secretly likes to be tickled; although he often prefers that no one finds out about it. In addition, he has always liked to be the one who tickles others, especially his adoptive brothers (Neteyam and Lo'ak) as well as his friends (Aonung and...Rotxo) when with Spider he tickled Rotxo he always ended up blushing and shy because of his crush that he had for Rotxo.
When Spider was still a child, he loved to tickle Neteyam when they were little along with Lo'ak and Kiri. But as they grew up, let's say that their bond was broken and they were no longer as close as before.
Spider ended up receiving multiple tickling attacks during the months in which Spider had been with the RDA and recommended them along with his biological father. On one of those occasions it was because when none of the recoms (including Spider's father) were not watching Spider, he put spicy powder on all their clothes although when it came to their underwear what Spider did was that when they were supposed to wash it he changed the detergent for the powder and then when everyone put on their clothes once it was already "clean" a few seconds later everyone was scratching against everything they had on hand and even between them mercilessly due to the itching of the dust. It really wasn't too much to say that everyone discovered that it had been Spider when they saw that he was laughing at all of them and as soon as he realized Spider that they are in trouble he tried to escape but then all the recom and his dad held him and then what Spider knew was that they were tickling him mercilessly. While his biological father held him with his arms over his head, he was also mercilessly tickling his ribs by moving his fingers over all his ribs which immediately led to Spider to absolute hysteria and while that was happening his dad also used his tail to tickle his lower ribs. And at the same time that happened, his dad's classmates also came together to tickle Spider as much Ja and Prager tickled his sides while Lyle blew raspberries all over his stomach at the same time Zdinarsk (Z-Dog) also tickled his feet using his hands as well as his tail. Since that day, Spider never made a joke on them again for fear of being mercilessly tickled again.
Spider had also been tickled by both Lo'ak and Kiri, sometimes by the two of them together. And that was especially when Spider was sad to remember that he would never be a Na'vi what made Kiri and Lo'ak tickled him mercilessly to make him smile again. And other times it was because he and Lo'ak bothered Kiri about the issue that Norm was his biological father that led to Kiri to tickle them mercilessly to the death of both of them. So they both didn't bother her anymore because of that.
Spider's laughter is very contagious and adorable. Spider is fully aware of that. Her laughter is childish and she has to snort or squeal and even scream with laughter although she always ends up laughing like a girl almost immediately because of how picky she is.
Since Neteyam's death. Spider became very discouraged and on one occasion Neytiri and Jake tickled him along with Lo'ak to absolute hysteria but at the same time Spider confessed to having saved his biological father. But surprisingly both Jake and Neytiri and Lo'ak immediately forgave him and they also confessed to Spider that they wanted him to be their son made it so that Spider could be happy just like Lo'ak.
The worst points with the most tickling of Spider are his ribs, his sides, his whole stomach (especially his belly button) since his biological dad often tickled him there is giving him raspberries or using his tail and his feet just like his dad has deadly ticklish.
Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan
Neteyam is extremely picky. He is almost as much as his dad but in spite of that his baby brother Lo'ak ends up overcoming him with the tickle. Neteyam being the big brother, it is naturally a good tingling, but his poor thing is VERY tickling.
Neteyam usually doesn't like to be tickled because being the older brother he prefers to look intimidating but all that ends as soon as something tickles his feet or neck. Despite that, Neteyam is usually very playful when it comes to him tickling his baby brother Lo'ak.
He often tickles Lo'ak gently but at the same time mercilessly every time his little brother gets into trouble like the time after his grandmother Mo'at finished healing his wounds and then when he saw his little brother feel so guilty, Neteyam tickled him mercilessly just to cheer him up. What Lo'ak despite not saying it out loud. He was grateful for the gesture in secret.
Neteyam can't stand the tickling at all. However, he can endure much better when he tickles someone else as long as the tickling is not directed at him.
Neteyam's laughter is absolutely impossible to stop hearing is so contagious and adorable that everyone tickles him constantly to make him laugh, Neteyam has to snort and scream a lot once they start tickling him.
After they leave, they will find shelters with the Metkayina. Neteyam was constantly attacked by tickling by both his brothers and his new friends... Aonung, Tsireya and Rotxo.
But at the same time Neteyam tried not to be tickled when he saw Akynia (a Metkayina for whom Neteyam had developed a strong crush) passing near them.
Neteyam's father constantly tickled him when he was a child as well as his baby brother Lo'ak and even when he was already a teenager.
Neteyam occasionally tickled Spider along with his little brothers (Kiri, Lo'ak and Tuk) but after they grew up Neteyam had stopped being close to Spider.
His worst tickle points are his neck, his super hypersensitive feet, his elbows and his knees. However, if you scrape his neck, you could kill him.
Tonowari
Tonowari is absolutely picky and being the Olo'eykan he will almost never let others tickle him and much less that they even discover how picky he is.
Tonowari had been very ticklish since he was a baby and a small child. And Tonowari had to happen to him frequently that due to how ticklish he is, he always ended up waving his legs and crossing them as if he were a child who was about to pee, something that always saddened him a lot.
When Tonowari and Ronal were teenagers. He was so in love with her that he was actually somewhat embarrassed to think that Ronal discovered that he was tickled however after they will get married becoming Tonowari in the Olo'eykan and Ronal in the Tsahík. It ended up happening that she accidentally ended up discovering how ticklish he was. Of course, Ronal also used that in his favor, tickling him quite often.
When they had their children. Ronal and his children began to torment poor Tonowari, constantly chasing him for his mauri and tickling him until Tonowari had tears of laughter in his eyes.
Tonowari had always been very observant. What on very rare occasions saved him from his wife's tickling attacks, but unfortunately even he ended up being caught off guard.
Tonowari had never had any kind of self-control over his laughter every time someone tickled him. It was literally so tickled that both the lighter tickles and the harder tickles can be overwhelming.
His laughter is the same as that of his eldest son Aonung. He is totally childish and adorable. Although, like Aonung, it usually happens to Tonowari that he ends up releasing one or another squeal as a girl and although Tonowari can momentari momentari reduce his loud laughter, full of laughter, there are always some whining laughs mixed.
After the death of Jake Sully's eldest son. Tonowari had come to tickle his sons Aonung and Rotxo a lot along with his wife Ronal and his daughter Tsireya although unfortunately at the same time Tonowari found himself being tickled by both his wife and his children.
His worst points are his armpits, his entire stomach (especially in his belly button), his waist and his ears. Poor Tonowari couldn't stand the limps, especially when his children and his wife tickle him at the same time.
Tsu’tey te Rongloa Ateyitan
Tsu'tey actually... doesn't really like to be tickled, to say the least. He has to act like the most mature and usually tells others that that is very childish (although despite what he says, of course Tsu'tey is super ticklish).
When Tsu'tey was younger, he usually only let Grace Augustine or Sylwanin tickle him a lot when Sylwanin was still alive. But after she was murdered, all that was just a very painful memory for him.
And when he was an adult, Tsu'tey usually only got tickled on very, very rare occasions either by Neytiri or by his baby brother Arvok. Although on one or two occasions Tsu'tey also ended up being tickled by Grace Augustine, Jake Sully and...Saeyla.
Tsu'tey was tickled by Neytiri at times when she. He noticed that he was particularly tense about his future tasks such as Olo'eykan. And regarding his baby brother Arvok, it was actually when Tsu'tey noticed that his baby brother was very sad or disappointed in himself for not having the approval of his parents. Tsu'tey let him tickle just because he knew that he would get Arvok to smile. And shortly after Tsu'tey reconciled with Grace Augustine they talked often and then it ended up happening that Grace, having been somewhat discouraged, decided to do the same thing she did when Tsu'tey was still a child and that was tickling her. And as for Saeyla that was when Tsu'tey had had an inconvenience that ended with the hanging head entangled in a pile of lianas and then Saeyla, being the only one who found him, decided to try to free him but accidentally ended up touching his lower back and thighs when trying to hold on to him and accidentally ended up discovering that Tsu'tey had a lot of tickling there. And finally with Jake that was when on one occasion Tsu'tey stayed to "see" Jake's lesson with Neytiri which was actually an excuse to make fun of him and when Neytiri had left for a while. Tsu'tey began to show off in front of Jake but then it happened that his tail accidentally tickled Jake in the armpits which caused that in a matter of seconds Tsu'tey discovered all the places where Jake was tickled but unfortunately for him it was Neytiri who had discovered them. He literally betrayed Tsu'tey in front of Jake and as expected Jake also ended up discovering that he was also tickled. What led Tsu'tey to have a truce with him so that he would never tickle him and not tell anyone at all.
On one occasion when Tsu'tey playfully hit Neytiri on the back or had made fun of Jake. Things never ended well for him because they always ended up taking revenge on him tickling him mercilessly. And how it was to be seen coming, Tsu'tey always ended up being reduced to multiple attacks of hysterical laughter mixed with squeals and screams of hysterical laughter and occasionally ended up laughing like a little girl.
Tsu'tey constantly refuses to accept that he has a lot of tickles and moves away from others by saying things like "childish" and "immature".
Tsu'tey has a surprisingly childish laugh full of adorable snorts and squeals.
Tsu'tey was always embarrassed to be made fun of when he is tickled.
His worst points where Tsu'tey has many more tickles are above all mainly his ears as well as his armpits on his lower back and on his thighs. However, the inner part of his thighs is in particular a deadly and especially sensitive area.
Tarsem
Tarsem has a lot of tickles. And although in reality he would never admit it to anyone, Tarsem really loves to be tickled and he loves to tickle others; Tarsem is the best of both worlds!
Tarsem really likes it when he is teased every time he is tickled. And he also likes to make fun of him when he tickles someone else who, of course, is not him. Tarsem used to tickle Lo'ak and Neteyam a lot. And he assaulted him knowing that they would take revenge on him knowing that they would tickle him ten times worse.
Tarsem is so tickled that literally when Lo'ak and Neteyam tickled him so much once they literally scared his entire clan because because of Tarsem's screams, squeals and snorts of laughter not to mention that they changed from being male to female in seconds caused everyone to think that someone was being attacked or killed.
Tarsem has a shrill and hysterical laugh full of snorts. And every time he is tickled, his laughs at first are completely manly but for the moment he always ends with squeaky and feminine laughs. And if you tickle him in the right place, Tarsem also ends up releasing some snorts along with squeals!
His whole clan knows that Tarsem loves to be tickled and the boy is not ashamed of it.
His worst points of Tarsem's shells are totally his knees, his armpits, his ribs and his neck.
Norm Spellman
Norm has a lot of ticklish, really. The only ones who really know how tingling Max, Spider, Kiri, Lo'ak, Tuk, Neteyam, Grace, Neytiri, Jake and Trudy are, literally. Max found out when he was checking that his Avatar will react to his sensitivity and then he discovered that Norm was extremely tickling while Spider, Kiri, Lo'ak, Tuk and Neteyam discovered it since they were little because Norm constantly took care of them when Jake and Neytiri were busy ... while on the other hand Trudy ended up discovering it when they were alone and she ended up accidentally rubbing his neck which caused a squeal followed by a laugh from Norm. He also tries to be discreet in order to avoid everyone else trying to tickle him, but for Eywa, that's the complicated part and that's why Norm is extremely VERY tickling.
It may not seem like it, but in reality Norm is VERY playful, he likes to make fun of his victims (since he constantly tickled Spider when he was still a baby and also when he was a little boy) and likes to go through the weak points of tickling enjoying seeing his victim screaming, snorting, screaming and laughing with absolute hysteria, especially when they are at his mercy, but he also likes to be done the same.
Despite the fact that Norm really likes to be tickled. The poor guy CAN'T say the word tickle. However, you can hear it in a passing conversation, as long as it is not addressed to him.
If someone comes to ask Norm if she tickles immediately, Norm begins to stutter without self-control and blushes until it looks the same as a ripe tomato. And he will never tell you a direct answer to your question about how tickling he is.
The same thing always happens to Norm and that is that when he sees someone start moving their fingers in his direction, it always destroys him and makes him start laughing hysterically without having any kind of control; all the Jakes, Neytiri with their children, as well as the Omaticayas and the Metkayinas (including Spider) love to do that knowing when their reaction will be.
Every time Norm is ticklish, she always ends up squeaking, snorting and screaming, just as it also always happens to her that she ends up laughing like a girl... which caused that on more than one occasion everyone will end up confusing Norm's laughter with that of some girl from Camp Omaticaya and with the Metkayina clan that left the face of a ripe tomato of absolute shame to Norm.
His worst points are his feet which constantly ends up making him scream like a girl, his super mega hypersensitive ears, his hips and his neck. However, if you scrape the neck of poor Norm, you could literally kill him seriously.
Eytukan te Tskaha Kamun'itan
Eytukan is also VERY ticklish... he usually doesn't like to be tickled, to say the least.
Eytukan was very much in love with Mo'at when they were still teenagers and young. He was really embarrassed to think that someone could discover him and could tickle him a lot. But shortly after mating with Mo'at she ended up discovering that he was very tickled, which on more than one occasion I used against her.
Eytukan used to allow only his wife and daughters (Sylwanin and Neytiri) when they were still girls to tickle him. But after Sylwanin was killed for Eytukan, all this became a very painful and sour memory for him.
Eytukan has a surprisingly childish and very attractive laugh, at the same time that he is also extremely adorable to hear. When he was still a teenager and even as an adult, his laughter was always very adorable to hear. Since it was full of snorts and squeals along with girl's screams.
His worst points are his knees, armpits, hips and thighs. The inner part of the thighs in particular is especially sensitive.

LE'ATWU
“Eywa has abandoned me”
warnings: depressed Tsu'tey, wanting to die, bad grammar
As Tsu'tey falls through the air with his body bullet ridden, he hopes that he will die as soon as his body crashed into the ground. He could try to call for his ikran but his voice will be lost to whirl of the vrrtep’s flying metal birds.
Somewhere deep in his mind, he rejoices at the thought of death. Death has never been portrayed as bad thing by the Na'vi; only that it was one way to return to the Great Mother. But that’s not what is mind is focused on, it more the fact that he is alone, now.
His beautiful Sylwanin had left to go into the Eywa’s embrace nearly six years ago, Neytiri, his once future mate, is now mated with Jakesully. There is nobody left for him, he thinks as his body crashed into rocks.
His body is paralyzed by pain as he lays, strewn across the jagged surface. He feels his eyes close and he accepts the fact that his dying right now. Suddenly, there is a warm hand rested on his cheek and bright light which shines through his eyelids.
His eyes open up to see his beautiful Sylwanin crouching beside him. Her lips curve into a knowing smile and he finds the strength in him to bring his hand to her cheek.
“Ma'Sylwanin, I am ready to join you in the Great Mother’s embrace.”he croaks out, the pain becoming unbearable, ready to be relieved of his loneliness. Yet it never comes, instead she laughs.
“Tey, it isn’t time for you to join in the afterlife. You still have a purpose here.”
Tsu'tey is shocked, to say the least. When you are put into the Great Mother’s embrace, you have no recollection of your passing. As Tsu‘tey looks at Sylwanin, he notices that she older than she was when she was murdered. She as if she been alive for the six years. Tsu'tey must’ve blinked or something because she begins to fade; Tsu'tey desperately reaching out for her.
As she fades, the noise reaches his keen ears. The static voice of Jake Sully, demanding to know where Tsu'tey is. He doesn’t have the strength to respond but he doesn’t have to. Sooner or later, a group of his People surround him.
He recognize Mo'at addressing his wounds as Neytiri and Jake Sully crouch in front of him. Tsu'tey can recognize the pain in both of their eyes as they examine his wounded body.
“I see you, Jakesully.” Tsu'tey greets, hoping soothe his pain.
“I see you, Tsu'tey te Rongloa Ateyian." Jakesully greets back, looking at his friend with worry.
Tsu'tey has to ask before he leaves, “Are the people safe?” Jakesully responds with “They’re safe.”
Tsu'tey brings his hand towards Jakesully’s blade, pulling it from the sheath and placing into Jakesully’s hand.
“I can’t lead the people,” Tsu'tey heaves out, also hoping to convince him, “you must lead them.”
“I ain’t office material and there is still hope for you, brother.” Jake responds, shaking his head in disagreement.
“It has been decided. It is the way. And it is good. I will be remembered I fought with Toruk Macto, we were brothers— and he was my last shadow.”
Tsu'tey prays to Eywa that Jakesully will give into his pleads but one thing he forgets is that Jakesully is a human. Just like any other human, Jakesully is stubborn—probably the most stubborn of them all.
“I can’t, Tsu'tey. You will be alive to lead our people, Mo'at can help, and so can Max.” Jakesully simply states as if it make perfect sense, and Tsu'tey knows Jakesully will not let him go.
Tsu'tey closes his eyes as Jakesully picks him up and carries him to his ikran. “Why had Eywa abandoned me?” is all Tsu'tey can think before he passes out.
It has been weeks since the battle and Tsu'tey has been confined to mat in Mo'at’s medical hut, along with many other wound Omaticaya. He has never been more humiliated in his life. His wounded chest is covered in green salve, which is washed off and reapplied by Mo'at or one of the many healers.
Over his stay, he had three visitors. Jake had visited early in stay and continued to visit, though while he talked Tsu'tey turned on his side, facing the opposite wall of Jakesully.
Jakesully sighed and spoke, “Listen, Tsu'tey, I know you’re angry at me but you got to know that I did because I knew you could survive.”
“It was Eywa’s way. You just did because you are stubborn like all the other demons. You are the Olo'eyktan.” Tsu'tey growls. Jakesully laughs before he starts up again.
“I am stubborn but you are my brother and I wasn’t going to lose another one. Did you know that? I lost my older brother before I came here, so I could stop you from dying, I was going too.”
Much to his dislike, Tsu'tey could understand his reasoning but said nothing. Jakesully shook his head and left.
Few days after that visit, Neytiri with fruit and twine.
“I have heard you haven’t eaten, Tsu'tey."she states, pushing the utumauti toward him. He doesn’t take causing her to sigh.
“If you won’t eat, then weave with me. You have to keep your arms strong, so you can return your warrior position.” Neytiri suggests and Tsu'tey finds no fault in her logic. Together they begin to weave in silence until Eclipse comes.
Right before she leaves, Tsu'tey quietly speaks, “You could’ve encouraged him, you know? You know how much I want to see her.”
Neytiri twitches in response and only sighs before pushing the hut’s flat and leaving.
The third and last visitor Tsu'tey is much more happier to see. It’s his little ‘baby’ brother, Arvok, who comes bearing gifts of Tsu'tey’s favorites home-cooked meals.
Arvok is the only visitor to gain Tsu'tey’s full attention as he pushes himself to sit up with the woven wall supporting his back. As Arvok places the bowls in front of him, Tsu'tey looks around for Tarsem, Arvok’s best friend who isn’t far behind all the time.
“It’s only me Tey Tey,” Arvok laughed, “rumor has it that you aren’t eating.” Tsu'tey scolds at him but he stops. Arvok is only Na'vi who is allowed to call him Tey Tey.
Arvok shoves Tsu'tey’s favorite in his arms before munching down on his own favorite. “As brothers, we are complete opposites.” Tsu'tey thinks. Arvok is more childish, still a young warrior in training, who wears his emotions. It is a hard task to anger Arvok.
Tsu'tey is more grown up, a esteemed warrior and he never puts his emotions out for display. It wasn’t hard to find an angered Tsu'tey. As they eat, they talk about meaningless things, and tease each other. Before Tsu'tey knows it, they have eaten all the dishes.
Arvok has stopped talking, his eyes are settled on his hand which lay in his lap. He is still, and Tsu'tey knows something is bothering him.
“I have to ask you something.” Arvok speaks, quietly as if he is afraid. Tsu'tey reaches to put a hand his shoulder as a confirmation to continue. Arvok looks at with an emotion that Tsu'tey can’t place.
“Did you really ask,” Arvok chokes on his words before pushing on, “Jakesully to kill you?” Tsu'tey stays silent and that is enough to answer Arvok’s question.
Arvok’s tails lashes furiously, hitting their empty bowls. He puts his hands on Tsu'tey’s shoulders, forcing him to look into his eyes that are filled with rage.
"How could you? Did you even think about how that would affect mom and dad? Me?,” Arvok pushes his hand into his chest, empathizing his words, “did you?”
Still Tsu'tey stays silent, and Arvok storms off. For the first time, Tsu'tey feels guilty. As he drifts off to sleep, he realizes that Arvok’s and his anger is something they share.
The next day, Tsu'tey emerges from the medical hut with Mo'at’s permission. His tail is tucked between his legs—feeling as if everyone’s eyes on him. He starts to head for the construction of his home but before he can it make there Jakesully steps in front of him.
Jakesully seems taller as he stands in front of Tsu'tey’s hunched over form. “You can’t do that much strenuous work, Tsu'tey. You are still healing.”
“Please allow me to do something to help my people. I will do anything.” Tsu'tey pleads, his fear of being unless overcoming his hatred for Jakesully.
Jakesully ponders on his pleads before sighing. “Norm and Max need help moving into Hell’s Gate, I said I would but now I have to help with construction of our home. So will you be willing to help them?”
Tsu'tey agrees almost immediately but now he has to deal with the demons.

You Must Learn
(Platonic! Tsu'tey x Avatar! Reader) (Platonic! Jake x Avatar! Reader)
It hasn't even fully set in yet that they have to learn the Omaticaya ways when they face their first challenge. Loincloths.
(1.5k) Reader wears a top. Interpret that how you will. Part 3
Tsu'tey had pulled them away from the crowd and up the tree. He didn't seem keen on speaking, which was fine because there were too many words in their head anyway. Instead, they took the time to marvel at hometree.
Thick spirals of roots forming a maze that Tsu'tey navigated with ease. The gathering area below, adorned with an enormous skull. Fires lit all over, making sure no corner had too much shadow.
That was another thing, the light. The moss. The plants. The vines. Everything seemed to glow.
They had seen it in the forest, but here it felt different somehow. Like if they focused hard enough, they could see the light follow an unheard beat.
Underneath their feet, the moss glowed. Each step a ripple of light. So enamored by it, they walked right into Tsu'tey, who had stopped and begun to say something.
"Look up when you walk," he grumbled. "This is the healers' tent."
The Tsahik had said nothing about a healer. But they followed anyway when he motioned for them.
In the tent, someone rushed over to put a paste on their wound and on the cuts that littered their body, looking them over quickly before allowing them to leave. However, when they turned around to do so, Tsu'tey pushed them back.
"What-"
"Their nose is also bleeding."
Of course he had to notice. They sighed and could only let the healer tilt their head back to examine the bleed. Thankfully, it only warranted a drink of something bitter and a cloth to wipe at the blood. Then they were cleared to go again.
"Thank you," they said before leaving, not noticing the shock on the healer's face.
After that, he led them higher. The base of the tree felt dizzyingly far away. And it was. If they'd fall, they would probably have time to recite a soliloquy on the way down. Maybe even two.
Once again, they walked into Tsu'tey's back. "Pay attention!" He growled.
"Sorry." They looked around him to see they had stopped in front of another tent. Only this one had no occupants.
He scoffed at the apology and stalked forward. They followed.
Clothes lined the inside of the tent. There were two lines of string that acted as display racks, each forming a semi-circle following the tent's shape. On the top string hung beaded tops, carefully crafted. On the lower string, some loincloths.
Their face scrunched at the thought of wearing a loincloth, but otherwise, they'd get kicked out. They had to learn, and this would be the first lesson.
When they reached for one of the tops, however, their hand got slapped away.
"You do not get to choose."
They raised their hands in surrender, leaving Tsu'tey to do the choosing. Hopefully, he had a sense of style.
"You would most likely choose one unbefitting of your status." He added coldly, loud enough that they were sure they were meant to hear.
They only rolled their eyes, moving to a mirror by the side and eyeing their clothes. Human clothes. How would they look in a loincloth? How would they move?
"Here. Change." Tsu'tey practically shoved the clothes at them and walked out, closing the flap behind him.
It felt exposing to undress in the tent. As if every bead on the clothes were eyeballs plucked out and watching them carefully.
When they tried on the top, it did very little to quell the exposed feeling. Beads covered theur chest, a string moving around their back and circling the neck held up the intricate work. They couldn't help but feel like the material wasn't enough.
How they wished to put the cotton shirt back on. The next time they'd see Jake, they would smack him upside the head. What was he thinking spouting all that nonsense about a Jarhead clan?
He was the reason they were here. Did they want to be here? They weren't sure. It didn't feel bad, but it would certainly take some getting used to.
The loincloth in their hands reminded them of that as they painfully noted the lack of a back piece of cloth. They still wore the brown pants supplied by the RDA which were dirtied and bloodied. Still a much better option, he thought.
Eventually, they convinced themself to remove the pants and put the loincloth on. They stared at themselves in the mirror, cringing at the utter lack of anything for the back part. Maybe if they stared enough the issue would fix itself.
"My fucking asscheeks are hanging out," they whispered, considering taking another loincloth to wrap around the back.
"Do you mean to finish by dinner?"
They hissed quietly. It can't get any better than this, they thought, taking one last look in the mirror before heading out.
They exited the tent slowly, holding the human clothes they so desperately wanted to put back on. "Did I put it on right?"
He glanced over her, only giving a brief nod before turning on his heels.
"Wait, what do I do with these?"
Without a word, Tsu'tey took the clothes and tossed them into a nearby fire. Great. At least they left their shoes inside, maybe they could sneak those back to base.
He turned again, motioning for them to follow. "Dinner will be ready soon."
They glanced back at their burning clothes, which sent an acrid smell through the air, then they follow him down to eat.
This time, the walk is much shorter than the others. Ironic considering they had covered the most ground. Halfway down, the drums sounded and Tsu'tey seemed adamant they eat immediately so he walked almost too quickly for them to follow.
The dining area buzzed with chatter, which thankfully doesn't halt as they walk in. They suppose that only happens in movies.
"Stay here. Do not mingle."
They dutifully obeyed, squatting down in the corner and waiting.
Some children watched them, staring curiously, especially at the cloth they pressed against their nose. They managed a small smile, hoping to at least not seem rude.
Parents pulled their children away anyway.
Sitting there felt incredibly awkward. Not only did they feel watched, they felt as if people had more to watch than usual. More of them to judge. They kept subtly adjusting their top, eventually giving up and just crossing their arms over their knees.
Finally, Tsu'tey returned with two bowls of meat. They half-expected him to turn away and go off with his friends, but he sat on a nearby root. As far as he could get while still letting the people know they were somewhat acquainted.
They felt bad, seeing him glance at the middle where the hunters were, laughing rambunctiously. And to the part of the eating area closest to hometree's center, to its heart. The Olo'eyktan and Tsahik sat there and they realized that Tsu'tey would have too, if only they weren't there.
Then again, he probably would have just sat there menacingly anyway. He didn't seem like the type to join in on the other hunters' fun or feel comfort in the people walking up to casually chat with the Omaticaya leaders.
They took a bite of the meat. Dry and tough but surprisingly flavorful. The taste reminded them of smoked meat.
"Sorry- sorry. Hey." They heard him before they saw him, realizing that the chatter had gone silent. They almost turned but felt him before he showed himself, courtesy of him stepping on their tail.
With a mouthful of meat, they couldn't hiss at him and so settled for glaring.
"Sorry," he smiled, taking a seat beside them.
"Dumbass." They slapped him with their tail and went back to eating.
The female Na'vi seemed amused at their actions, nodding slightly at them in greeting.
They nodded back.
"I will go get us food, you stay." She left, and they noticed Jake staring after her.
They nudged Jake. "What's her name?"
"No idea."
"Seriously?"
Jake raised his hands. "I've tried to ask, but she doesn't answer."
"Yeah," they rolled their eyes, "'cause you just fucked up all her free time." They nodded over to Tsu'tey. "And his free time. And my free time. You've ruined a lot."
"What, was I supposed to let them kill us?"
"I was fine getting my body dropped off a cliff." They sniffed. "I'm sure everyone prefered that option."
Silence. "But thanks anyways I guess."
Jake smiled. "You guess? I save your life and you guess?"
They shrugged, going back to their food, temporarily forgotten due to the conversation.
"You're bleeding." He pointed out, motioning to his face.
They swiped the cloth against their nose. The blood had lessened somewhat.
"It's nothing new."
Jake had seen them bleed before.
The scientists tried not to trigger the experiments which proved impossible considering no one had any idea of what all the triggers were. So they often had a cloth pressed against their nose because someone mentioned a science word or something about biology. Even because someone cursed in another language once.
"It's a little breezy in here, huh?" He made a show of hugging himself and readjusting the loincloth.
They smiled. "A bit. My ass cheeks have never been more exposed."
"You've got a nice..." he motioned to his chest area, "beads thing though, pretty beads."
"Yeah, kinda wish it had more coverage though." They bit into another piece of meat. "I'm not even saying I have much to cover up, I just think that if I move a little too suddenly I'll flash everybody."
"You got that right." Jake shifted in his loincloth again. "I feel like I'm in my undies, but less."
Dinner went smoothly. Neytiri (they had asked for her name) came back with two bowls of meat and one bowl of fruit, which she had them take out of.
Tsu'tey had mostly kept to the side, conversing quietly with Neytiri in Na'vi every once in a while.
After that, he and Neytiri led them up to the communal sleeping area. Jake immediately took the spot next to Neytiri, while they looked for a more secluded spot.
They tried to avoid looking at areas with Na'vi there already, as some had scrambled away when their gaze fell over them. Finally, they found a dark corner, close to the edges of the large canopy.
And then they woke up in the link pod.

So, I just make a scenario proposal that I can't get out of my head after seeing Tsu'tey being a dumb daddy for Spider.
So, Spider arrives in the community and is introduced as the son of our favourite big blue friend. Cool. Nobody wants to say anything bad, so they just start adapting and all that.
So, Jake, like any young dad who occasionally jokes (good-heartedly, it was just a logical observation of fact) about how Spider would always be the size of a Navi kid. And that his friend is lucky that Spider fits in a baby carrier, and that he can take him everywhere with him. Especially now that Spider just fits quietly in the palm of his hands like a doll.
Just that.
That's all it took for Tsu'tey to get down to work. And when everyone was least expecting it…. Boom!
Everyone in the village could see Tsu'tey, with a baby carrier, carrying Spider everywhere as if he was a toy.
Flight, hunting party, dancing, fishing and fruit picking? Spider was hanging on his chest. Tsu'tey refuses to let him out of her sight. And he tries to get away with the excuse that his son must work three times as hard to become an adult worthy of being a warrior, so he must learn from the best.
That is, him.
Now that he is a teenager/almost an adult? Tsu'tey uses him as a means of punishment when Spider gets into too much mischief? Then one sees a young human, hung up on an adult Navi who occasionally gives him cut fruit so that he doesn't go hungry during the day.
(I was thinking something like this)
man the way i am HOWLING at this
tsu'tey feeding a disgruntled teenaged spider fruit as he's strapped to his chest 😭 i'm literally cackling, lo'ak would NEVER let him live that down
#baby fever#genuinely why is this mental image so fucking funny tsu'tey would be such an unhinged dad#asks
