So uh...I know the odds of this happening is slim to none, but I figure I'll shoot my shot: the Creator having a little one, who is sporting a small diamond marking on their forehead? (Xiao, it's Xiao as the dad.) And for fun: Venti somehow gets blamed for this! :D
Tsarita: The Yaksha has an Anemo Vision. Of course someone who uses the element of Barbatos would be so forward as to try something with the Creator!
Venti: I DID NOTHING, WHY AM I BEING BLAMED?!
A forever diamond
Tumblr media
WC: ~600
Cw: Raiden is alloyist 😔
Imagine if this happened close to cloud retainer and she just side eyes Xiao like "this one is impressed the conqueror of demons has, what the younger generations call, rizz"
Xuezhui’s birthdays are a whole event for liyue, somewhat of an unofficial holiday, people are often given half day or the whole day to roam the streets, different vendors setting stalls with food and trinkets.
A room would get rented in the xinyue salon and the seven stars and the archons would accompany for lunch and a small dessert for the toddler.
As you finish eating and leave Xuezhui on the floor she starts running to a small group of children, zhongli trailing behind her so you could finish your conversation with keqing.
Regal as when he was an archon zhongli stands a few meters away from the little group of children playing tag. Sometimes he can't help but let himself drift in his thoughts, Xuezhui is so similar to Xiao when he rescued him, even when only a handful of people remember that day he can see it as clear as day. Could Xiao have spent his younger life as carefree as this little girl?
Suddenly he is snapped from his daydream by a scream and sobbing.
“What is it, little one?” zhongli leans forward where xuezhui was seated crying, some of her friends surrounding her. He saw her fall while chasing each other but it didn't seem hard enough for her to not keep playing.
“It hurrrttss” her hands clasped on her forehead, tear clouding her eyes.
“Let me see” softly he pries her hands away, expecting to see some flushed skin, maybe a bruise or some blood but it was neither of those, rather it was a small purple diamond “...interesting”
“What happened over here?” Quickly you walk towards them, worried about the soft sniffles and suddenly falling to the floor. She makes grabby hands so you perch her on your hip, smoothing her hair.
“Someone can't refuse her inheritance for too long” he taps between his brows, letting you know. Swiftly you move her bangs, showing a small diamond just under her hairline.
“I thought it was make up”
“it would make sense with his depressive persona but as you already know adepti have no need for vision and merely wear one to comply with human expectations,” he picks something up from the floor, a small golden plate before placing it on the silk in the back of her dress “on the contrary, half adeptus like Ganyu need a vision to canalize elemental energy yet can use adeptal features to hone their abilities”
“I can barely manage her as it's, don't tell me that was a vision”
His hand falls on your shoulder, a stiff smile trying not to laugh at you “I would invest in fire insurance”
Seemingly your defeated face was very visible, even from a few meters away, or you took a fair amount of time, as some archon and Ningguang were approaching you.
“Is anything wrong I could help with?” Ningguang speaks first, wandering what might have happened.
“Xuezhui fell, just a small nick on the forehead” zhongli snickers behind you.
“if she hurt herself I'm sure Dr Baizhu wouldn't mind checking her up quickly” she attempts to check her but you change her to the other side, attempting to hide her mark.
“She is fine, she just got scared and is a bit cuddly”
“oh, what a shame, I wanted to try her beloved almond tofu but if she is so stuck with you we will have to leave it for another occasion”
“Almond tofu! Let's go” she jumps out of your arms and jumps towards Raiden, who notices instantly the soft purple diamond “mmh, what is this?” she swipes her thumb over it but it doesn't smudge, the edges perfectly neat.
“Who does that remind me of?” Venti taps his chin.
“the vigilant yaksha?...” Ningguang mumbles under her breath. She did know he took the role of your bodyguard but never thought your relationship would be so more intimate
“So in the end it WAS your fault…”
“but he is from Liyue! It's Morax’s fault!”
“But he has an anemo vision”
“What is that supposed to mean?!”
“All anemo vision holders are libertine or lazy”
“Hey! That is alloyism!”
“who would have guessed this would work out nicely for me”

How about a part 2 of the ‘sugardaddy!Johnny Cage’ where we ACTUALLY, GENUINELY get pregnant:33??
part 2 in blurb form ☝🏾🙂‍↕️ if you are new, fic here
pregnant!reader blurb with sugardaddy!johnny cage
no warnings, fluff, johnny being in love and having baby fever like a mf, obviously the kid is named cassie we knew this 😎
johnny soon-to-be-father cage, there is nobody he knows that DOESNT know. he demanded to his agents that he get to stay with you through the entire process. he even proposed to you the day he came back from set. he wanted to commit to you as quickly as possible and give your beloved soon-to-be-daughter the best life she could ever have.
if you're fine with being on social media, oh, when WONT you be? his posts have gone from bizarre sightings and photo shoots to "look at my gorgeous wife!" and wife memes reposted all over his story. but if not, he won't. it would bum him out a little bit, but he understands. he will be already setting up the pregnancy photo shoot for you months in advance though, ya gotta give him that.
he has dad and mom merch coming in packages by the day. "future dad" and "future mom" shirts to "girl dad" hoodies. you name it. and don't even get me started on how he treats you. by the gods, you'd think you married a prince. 5 star quality service, and you literally have to pry him off of you when you want to do things yourself. he doesn't want you lifting a finger, but damn, a quick trip to the bathroom is a one-person job!
when you're finally in labor, expect him to be in the know about every little thing regarding you and the baby's health. he's freaking the hell out, and shoot, you think he's the one in labor with how tight he's holding your hand. it's adorable. he literally practiced being able to withstand your grip in case you needed to when this day came. and through all those hours and a successful birth, out came your precious daughter, cassandra cage. cassie for short. (he's been talking about this name nearly the entire pregnancy).
when i say tear flow, i mean it. he cried more than you did! he was sitting next to you all bug eyed and lovesick. being in the presence of the mother of his child and his baby girl had him ready to drop everything. while you slept he would almost never put her down, even letting her fall asleep in his arms multiple times. he didn't care if his arms got tired. your rest was more important than anything else in the world.
oh and it takes you verbally telling him two months later that it's okay for him to go back to work. like he would refuse to leave your side. but you did promise to take lots of pictures and said he can facetime every time he had a break. expect his earthrealm buddies to check up on you every once in a while too. liu kang the most. (you have a giant pile of freshly picked fruits from raiden and lao so cassie became accustomed to organic fruit very quickly and won't eat any other kind)

Raiden x Reader: Proud of You
Tumblr media
Finally did Raiden with reader with father issues😌 ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Crickets played choir for the night as all the training monks began returning home. Apart from three of Raiden's special pupils; Kung Lao, you, and chosen one Liu Kang.
The god has his arms crossed as he looks at the fireflies blinking slowly around the trees that stand near the academy. There wasn't much to do, and he has already meddled with all three of you, being his special apprentices and all.
He comes back to the surface when he hears footsteps behind him, turning is Liu Kang walking up. The young man took off his red headband that has been wrapped around his head for the whole day.
"Are you going to rest soon, Liu Kang? It is vital for further training tomorrow." Techinally, it wasn't much of a question from Raiden. His tone spoke as if it was commanded advice.
"Soon, Lord Raiden." Liu Kang simply answered back. It look as if he had something in mind. Raiden sees he was about to speak before he stayed silent with a troubled look on his face, raising the god's concern.
"Is something on your mind?" Raiden raises an eyebrow at Liu Kang.
"It's Y/n, my lord." Liu Kang rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "I was wondering if you could talk to her. Kung Lao and I tried, but she plays it off. She's not so subtle doing so."
Odd request, Raiden thought. He never had a heart to heart conversation with you before, so it would be awkward. Besides, it wasn't like he knew you or your problems too well.
"Elaborate more."
"Well, I think maybe something could be happening outside the academy. She seems pretty fine and determined during our training sessions but it's like she's always dreading when it's time to go home. You're wise, Lord Raiden, maybe you can cheer her up- or just offer wisdom."
Lord Raiden looks down, thinking for a little. The rounded edge of his hat shielded the brightness of his eyes. Briefly, he decides his answer. He nods to Liu Kang in acceptance of the request.
The beloved champion bows in gratitude before walking off. Raiden only stands alone a little longer to gather his thoughts before also walking away to search for you.
You were found gathering all your things, about prepared to leave soon enough. You stopped, noticing your superior approaching. "Lord Raiden." You smile friendly and tip your head.
"Y/n." He greets back.
"I feel so good about my training progress today." You happily claim, not looking at him but instead your belongings. "I think I'm doing better."
Raiden stayed silent and watched you as you went on and on with a positive vent. It's like you're trying to tell him everything's fine though you don't even know why he's coming to you. At least he thinks you don't. He found the chance to speak when you stopped speaking to breathe.
"Y/n." You looked at him, wondering what was with his serious tone. Yes, he always is a serious man, but this tone was so firm.
"Yes?"
"Liu Kang spoke to me."
"Okay?" You frowned a little knowing where this is heading.
"Is everything well outside the academy? At home, perhaps?"
"Yeah." After the one worded answer, you quickly shift your eyes to your belongings.
"Can you look at me and say that?"
No. You couldn't. You couldn't even hold it together as your lips began quivering. "I guess not fully. Just small mishaps."
There's progress now. Raiden was all ears for you. "And what are they? I don't think 'small mishaps' could affect you like that."
"Sometimes," You thought for a moment. You didn't really want to go all that deep. "Sometimes I just have disagreements with my dad. It's annoying."
"There's more to that." Raiden calls out. At this rate, what's the point in not talking about it? Maybe Raiden can help you and make you feel better.
"Father is just- I don't think he's proud of me." You looked up with a sad face.
Raiden's expression softens with empathy. He walks to you and sits down in front of you so you could speak to him more comfortably.
"I'm finally doing something right. Something I want him to be proud of me for once, but all I get is patronizing comments." You informed.
"Did you not just tell me you were proud of yourself a minute ago? Wouldn't that be enough?" Raiden asks. You knew he wasn't trying to be blunt.
"No, Lord Raiden. That's not enough." You shook your head. "I don't even need to ask if he will come to my graduation when it's time. He won't come. No one is."
"I will." Raiden quickly says with no second thought.
"Yeah. For Liu Kang." You scoff, thinking he's just saying that.
"I will come for you specifically if no one else. Liu Kang already knows how proud I am of him.
"...Really?" You had a tiny smirk with hope sparkling in your heart.
"Really. If your father isn't proud of you Y/n, I am. And you should be too." Raiden nods with an approving smile. The god sets an affectionate hand on your shoulder. "I've noticed your work as much as you, yourself, has. I can say you're definitely growing into a fine warrior. Your father should be ashamed to see that."
"I guess. It still hurts he doesn't care." You admit.
"Well, I care." Raiden let's you know. "Now go home and rest up. I want you training by my side."
You smile at the lord as he leaves. You felt a bit better now. Raiden turns to look at him with a gentle smile before his figure flashes. Within that millisecond, he is gone. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

oh if ur still doin this: 8, 5, and 1
im just gonnna do this for whatever i can think of first bc ive been answering asks based on what the person asking likes and you are one of my least Privy To My Video Games pilled mutuals but i love you okay enjoy the rants common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about coming in hot with a dmc opinion but i think everybody who flanderizes vergil into this selfish cunt who acts the way he does out of spite needs to let me hit them in the face with hammers. i literally love vergil so dearly and it pains me to see everybody reduce such an interesting dude into POWER XD DEADBEAT DAD XD. like you guys know that his obsession with gaining strength and almost every single step he has taken is because he never wants to feel as scared and small and powerless as he was when his mother died and he thinks his mother abandoned him to save dante but she didnt she died trying to save him and now he hates (hated) his brother because of it. everything in his entire life stemmed from the day their mother died and it grew into an almost fanatic obsession because he never wants to be that fucking helpless again. not to like say he did nothing wrong obviously or hes a poor little meow meow, hes anything but a poor little meow meow but vergil get behind me i will protect you from the redditors. also the deadbeat dad joke is overdone and boring. dude gets laid (somehow) after being in the torture nexus for god knows how many years, he DIDNT EVEN KNOW HE HAD A SON UNTIL DMC5 AFTER RIPPING NEROS ARM OFF. and anyway fuck all of you he gave nero his stupid corny poetry book when he left for hell and theres a menu screen background of nero and vergil chilling at the table and vergil is awkward because he doesnt know how to talk to his son but theyre just vibing okay. sniffles. sorry for going on a rant about vergil devil may cry are you mad at me worst discord server and why
im not really in any tumblrina discords or what you would consider "fandom" discords i pretty much only strictly use it to talk to like my overwatch friends. im in a lot of servers but its only like hub servers for information about stuff that i would want access to, not really community servers. with that being said, and i just commented this under a mutuals post, but the demon hunter class discord for wow is a god forsaken nuclear wasteland full of edgelords and misogynists and its so painful bc im just there to learn how to press buttons better the character everyone gets wrong raiden metal gear. sylvanas wow. wrathion wow. d.va overwatch. VERGIL DEVIL MAY CRY. dante devil may cry. trish dev- you get the point. maria/doll bloodborne is my most beloved but surprisingly ive found that like a majority of the fanbase is like sane/normal about her. its a nice breath of fresh air

I was the center of his world and it showed. I miss him.
Omg I'm impressed you were able to type while you were fighting her!

hello i saw that your requests were open so i have one as a fellow genshin and bllk fangirl 😍
ik combining 2 fandoms sounds tough but pls i promise you’ll like it (i can’t actually promise that) but pls hear me out.
the type of vision bllk boys would have and why.
eg: snuffy: anemo, because he has a dead friend, or ness: electro, because he’s a simp. (i’m so sorry about the snuffy one.)
for the bllk boys im requesting, it’s quite a long list but if you think it’s too short you can cut it if you want!!
manshine trio (they’re my favourites), bachira, niko, barou, sae, rin, shidou, charles, kurona, hiori, our beloved mc isagi, kuni (pre or post wildcard, up to you), and german frat boy (you know who i mean.)
15 characters is a lot so it’s understandable if you wanna shorten the list or not take this request 😭😭 i just thought of it in the shower and thought maybe you’d like it since we’re both genshin and bllk fans but i hope you like this idea!!
Tumblr media
OMG I love this so freaking much, and I have been thinking about it since I got it this morning and you are not ready for the ride I am about to take you on in my reasonings <3 (Also I ended up having no ideas for Barou so I did pre and post wild card Kunigami!!) (And yes, Kaiser's will be a whole tangent about him since I love him so much, and I am very deeply connected to that man, my blue dyed tip hair and blue rose tattoo will agree.)
Tumblr media
Just because I felt like elaborating more on your ideas I'm gonna start with Snuffy and Ness<3 Marc Snuffy: Anemo - I mean firstly and most importantly he lost his best friend and that's a very big key component in Anemo, but also he continued to go and find a reason to keep living on (winning the major 5 european championships) Alexis Ness: Electro - Not only falling under being a simp, following the path of Sara and her devotion towards the Raiden Shogun, but being seen as abnormal by even his own family for liking the things that he likes (Magic). Reo Mikage: Geo - Working really hard to be able to play football/soccer even with the bumps in his way like his parents (more specifically his dad, as shown in Episode Nagi) trying to get him to work more on taking over the company, but yet he still works hard on his dream to becoming a pro athlete. Nagi Seishiro: Anemo or Cryo - Nagi is a little weird since he could follow down the Anemo path like Sayu, but he also has a lot of tendencies to be a potential Cryo. Having his internal conflicts during the second selection to be able to break apart from Reo to become stronger and be able to compete at a level that challenges him, but also his past (seen in Ep. Nagi) of his parents kinda leaving him and abandoning him. Chigiri Hyoma: Hydro - Having himself a moral code that he created for himself to follow when it comes to playing football/soccer, and even with his injury continuing to follow the path that he created for himself to become the best and help him in his upbringing to get back to the way he was with no fear and continue to be a 'chosen one' Bachira Meguru: Pyro - Being very passionate about the sport that he plays and wanting to always surpass himself and become better. Even trying new chemical reactions and trying new things to become better then he was before. Niko Ikki: Dendro - The knowledge of the field that he has through his eyes and the way he sees the field. It could be under the consideration of "hidden" knowledge as it isn't something the other team knows about until you figure it out yourself, and with that he has a risk for trying new things to be able to score and continue using the knowledge that he has to grow and eventually be able to beat people using it. Sae Itoshi: Hydro or Cryo - At first with his whole thing for not thinking he's good enough to become the best striker after his whole thing and Spain (and most likely something to do with Leonardo Luna) which then turns him into having an internal conflict and then brings to his change and changing his morals to be instead the best midfielder but still keeping that mindset of being the best in something. Rin Itoshi: Cryo - Itoshi family thing, yet again, another Cryo. He also has a big internal conflict, but with his brother, as he is the main reason why he is even playing the sport and why he is so keen on becoming the best, and by that he really just means beating his brother. He also has quite a few of the tendencies of Cryo characters from the game, as he does mostly distance himself from others and is really only seen talking to them when somebody else approaches him first. Shidou Ryusei: Pyro - Another person who is quite passionate (even sometimes a little too much *cough cough* U20 game *cough cough*, especially when he finds people that he likes playing with (ex Charles and Sae). It is a little hard just because we don't know anything about his past so I'm really just basing it on the way he acts! Charles Chevalier: Pyro - Same thing as Shidou, as we really don't know anything about his past it makes it a little harder. Though I would like to say he def gives Pyro energy, same boat as Hu Tao. He is very passionate when on the feild, and about the way he acts towards the things that he likes, which is being a pain in the ass contrarian.
Kurona Ranze: Electro(?) - This one was I think the hardest for me since there isn't a lot on Kurona, but I did try my best! I was thinking more electro as he is most likely seen as more abnormal as he tends to stay behind and help out other players (ex. Isagi) which is most likely uncommon for a place like Blue Lock, since it's all about opening an ego and making things for yourself. Though I can say much as, we have nothing for his backstory, and nothing much on his wiki!
Hirori Yo: Dendro or Cryo - Hiroi has already been known as somebody who has a lot of info when it comes to football/soccer, most likely due to his parents. Though when he first meets Isagi and Nanase he is seen giving quite a bit of information out which ends up helping them in the long run, so his knowlodge of the game very deeply resonates with the dendro element. Though the constant struggle of trying to find out if what he's doing is right follows him along the way. As it was his parents main thing to get him to play, so constantly wanting to not do it does follow him and makes him question things for sure about it.
Isagi Yoichi: Hydro or Geo - A man who has his principals in check, your honor. This man is pretty good at know what's right and what's wrong and can often be seen as the person being in the middle of fights (Ex. Nagi and Barou) and making sure that things don't get to crazy between them. Though he also has a good work ethic and is always trying to make himself stronger and wants to boost himself to the next level.
Kunigami (Pre WC): Hydro - He has a very good goal in life, well at least at the start of Blue Lock. Wanting to be like the hero's he saw on TV, but also wanting everything to be fair. He is constantly making sure (even from the first time we saw him) that everything is fair game, even if it wasn't strictly mentioned in the rules.
Kunigami (Post WC): Cryo or Electro - They never outwardly said it but something must have happened to that man in Wild Card that they are not telling us! So in short I have a feeling that he is dealing with something from the past that went on in there. Though another thing that would go with Electro is his views were most likely changed though the process of Wild Card. Nobody just flips a switch like that for no reason. So a bigger picture to this is that he was probably learning things about what he needed to do to become the best and staying on the path he was, wasn't going to get him there.
Michael Kaiser: Cryo - Ah yes.. Kaiser. Boy do I have a lot to say about you. (And that's on having a similar backstory<3) His whole egotistical personality most likely stems from his childhood (as most things do about people) More often then not do kid who have no attention on them as children end up living for that attention and praise as they get older, case in point Kaiser basically wanting to be the best striker and having a pretty good title of it, until you learn that he wants to move on and make his own name, which is most likely another sign of him trying to have the attention on himself, though it also stems from the abandonment he had a as child not only form his mother, but the abandonment of a father figure from his dad. Though the conflict start coming in when you see the drastic change when Isagi starts scoring goals and making many more problems for the name that Kaiser was creating for himself. Though with a loss of figures of parents that is only to be expected as the praise is no longer coming from other people, but instead just the person that he manipulated (Ness.)
Now obviously I can go on and on about this, but I won't, you've already had to read through the rest of my brainrot so I won't be saying anything else<3

Another day, another class Kung Lao was going to be late to.
Raiden sighed, rising from his meditative position. He was fully aware of the boy’s propensity to getting distracted - his inquisitive nature and childish curiosity, while great tools when it came to learning new forms and techniques, also meant Kung Lao struggled to embrace the discipline the monks had been trying so hard to instill in him, often getting sidetracked by pretty much anything that happened to catch his attention. Thus, the Thunder God had brought it upon himself to track the kid’s actions - perhaps, if he could figure out just what was holding him back from his training, he could come up with a way to get the boy to focus and save his masters more headaches.
It didn’t take long for Raiden to follow Lao’s energy to the temple’s rear courtyard. It wasn’t very surprising; the boy had always been quite fond of nature, and there was no better place for him to lose track of time than the huge gardens in the back he so often frequented. A familiar head of braided black hair stood out from the blossoming plants that made up the scenery at a simple glance, and Raiden couldn’t help but huff a light chuckle at the sight. Making sure to be as loud as possible as to make his presence known and avoid startling the boy in the vicinity, the thunder god drew closer, and Kung Lao, noticing he wasn’t alone anymore, turned around, revealing a bundle of grass in one of his dirt-stained hands. His face lit up upon seeing his companion.
“Lord Raiden!” he exclaimed, beaming. It didn’t last, though, as he realized he was being too casual. “I mean, uh,” he corrected, bowing down, his voice changing to a more solemn tone. “Lord Raiden.”
An amused look crossed the god’s face at the occurrence.
“What are you doing out here, Kung Lao?” he asked, raising a questioning eyebrow and crossing his arms over his chest. He decided against bringing up class -  the boy would probably freak out and attempt to leave without filling him in on the full details of his distraction, which was the last thing he wanted right now.
Lao smiled again at the question, straightening up immediately. “Oh! You need to see this!”, he said, forgetting the formalities of addressing a god and excitedly tugging on one of Raiden’s sleeves. His interest piqued, the Thunder God allowed the boy to pretty much drag him to a bunch of thick bushes in a corner, where he could sense a particular group of energy signatures. He blinked.
“Are those...”
Lao let go of Raiden and gently pushed aside some of the branches in one of the bushes, revealing a group of fuzzy animals nestled in the dirt below. “Bunnies!” he said, his voice brimming with enthusiasm. He took some the grass in his hand and gave it to the adult rabbit in the group, who began chewing on it in a funny way, making Kung Lao chuckle. The sound made Raiden’s chest feel warm.
“This is Breeze,” the boy said, pointing at the white rabbit he had just fed. “I named her after Lord Fujin, but I didn’t realize she was a girl until it was too late... I hope he’s okay with it.”
“I’m sure he won’t mind,” Raiden replied, thinking about how emotional his brother would get if he found out about the whole situation. “Do the others have names, too?”
The smile on Kung Lao’s face grew at the question and he proceeded to name the remaining animals - some were named after flowers, others after his favorite masters. One of them, a cream-colored bunny, was called Liu.
“And this,” Lao said, picking up a large, dark brown bunny with a white spot over one eye, “is The Great Kung Lao. He is the biggest, and fastest, and strooooongest of all”, he said dramatically, showing off the animal he held in his hands as he puffed out his chest with pride. The boy’s antics made a hearty laugh escape Raiden’s lips, and Kung Lao chuckled as well, putting the bunny back down before looking back at the Thunder God. “Those were all the babies... But there’s still one bunny I’d like you to meet.”
Raiden raised his eyebrows. “Oh?”
As if on cue, Kung Lao waved the remaining grass in his hand before a nearby bush, and another adult rabbit emerged from it. Lao petted its mottled coat as the animal chewed on the plants. “This is Ray,” the boy said, looking back with a sweet smile on his face. “He’s very strong, but also really gentle... just like you, Lord Raiden!”
The Thunder god blinked once and opened his mouth, then did it again when nothing came out. Despite having eons of experience dealing with humans, he found himself at a loss for words, the growing smile on his face the only way he could even begin to express the complex feelings warming up his chest. “That’s... Kung Lao, this-”
“Here,” the boy took Raiden’s hand and placed it over the rabbit’s head, interrupting the god and inadvertently saving him from stammering in front of a mortal child, “He really likes it when you scratch behind his ears.”
Raiden let the boy guide his hand to said spot, and he noticed the animal lean into his touch. The god looked at Lao, then at the rabbit, then at Lao again, observing how engrossed the child was in the activity and how happy he looked, and he felt an overwhelming sense of peace, wishing he could stop time and revel in this moment forever.
It was then when the Thunder God thought that, perhaps, it was okay if the boy missed class just this once. If anyone asked, well... He would cover for him.
These were important matters, after all.

The Arcons with a child god reader who is super sweet but hardly talks ( Need more content of geo daddy being a dad )
Tumblr media
❇ pairing: Zhongli, Ei, and Venti x platonic child reader (individual)
❇ summary: How they would be as parents to a timid but sweet child <3
❇ category: full on fluff i will cry /pos
❇ notes: I have no idea if I did any of the characters to be ooc but let me be bc wholesome content is wholesome content in my books
Tumblr media
Zhongli:
I can really imagine him as a gentle father, he is doting, and also strict when he needs to be. All in all, I think Zhongli would be the best to handle a child who is quiet and reserved. He is patient and if he needed to help them in talking, I’m sure he would personally tutor them! I mean this man has years of knowledge in that head of his.
Zhongli does try to get his kid out of their shell too, while at it they go on small outings to talk with other kids in the harbor or simply eat out in Xinyue Kiosk.
I can imagine him taking strolls around Liyue Harbour with his child, he may be holding their hand, or carrying them, whichever works the best. It’s always a sight to adore to see him holding hands with his little one.
Sometimes they both stop by a place filled with glaze lilies to spend some good old parent-and-kid-bonding.
It’s a sunny afternoon in Qingce Village, with the lilies fool in bloom, and the birds singing a sweet tune. The archon smiles at the sight of his little one kneeling in front of a flower, they seem to be so mesmerized by its beauty, and they carefully pluck it out from the ground.
“What do you have there, sweetheart?” Zhongli asks his child from behind. The kid seems to be startled by their father’s sudden voice and fell from their kneeling position, “Careful now,” Zhongli smiles as he holds out a hand for his little one.
The child stands up and holds the little flower out towards their father, “For—,” They paused with faint pink tints on their cheeks, probably a bit embarrassed from their initial fall on the ground. They puffed out their cheeks before finally saying, “Flower… for baba.”
That would be a memory he’s keeping forever.
Yeah, Zhongli as a dad is just so wholesome, he’s gonna cherish his baby with all his might!

Raiden Ei:
Now Ei, she would be a mother who is a bit oblivious to all these things. She’s a bit clueless but she manages with the help of Yae Miko—or at least what help she can provide.
However, Ei is the type of parent who enjoys spoiling their child. Do you want that storybook by Yae Publishing House? She has already placed an order for more than five copies. She notices you staring at a particular plushie? It's yours now along with other plushies. Did you point out a lovely flower? The Tenshukaku now has a flower garden full of those specific flowers.
Ei doesn't really force her quiet child to talk, instead, she asks for the best teachers in Inazuma city to occasionally tutor you when you have the time.
She shows her love to her kid with gifts and quality time, and if her little one is timid, she doesn’t really mind spending time with them at home to eat Dango and other sweet treats.
Ei feels a gentle tug on her clothes, and when she looks down she sees her beloved child rubbing their eyes with their free hand and a fox plushie with the other.
A small smile finds its way to the electro archon’s lips, “Are you tired, little one?” She asks as she gently pats her child’s head. And Ei only receives a timid nod and a yawn from her kid. It was late at night after all. The archon has gotten a gist of taking care of her little one, learning what her kid wanted without them having to say any word. Ei then gently carries her child in her arms.
When Ei has finally tucked her child into their bed, a small hand reaches for her wrist, “Goodnight, mama.” They say with a sleepy voice.
Ei then tucks a strand of her child’s hair with a contented smile, “Have sweet dreams, little one.”
I just know that Ei’s child is one of her safe places.
She adores them so much, and she’d spend an eternity and more loving them.

Venti:
Fun dad! Just so full of surprises and there is not a dull moment when you’re with him.
Venti loves taking his kid to Monstadt, you could see him and his child on his shoulders so often while they walk around outside the Cathedral. Just the cutest pair.
He is a very chatty guy, and I think even if his kid is more on the shy side they can’t help but let out a small giggle and a smile whenever they hear their dad’s voice. And every time this happens, it just melts his heart!
Despite Venti’s playful nature, he is also good at a quiet times. Quiet time with Venti is spending time with his kid in Windrise while he plays his lyre to get them to sleep on his lap. It’s simple and relaxing and it always ends with him whispering sweet dreams to his little buddy.
Small fingers add another crystal fly to be woven on Venti’s head along with the prettiest wind wheel asters the small child could find. It was a breezy morning, the perfect time to visit Windrise and relax with his little one.
“Thank you,” He grins at his child who finished braiding in the last aster on his hair, “Does dad look pretty like this?”
His child nods, the same big grin as their father’s on their lips. Venti laughs, taking one of the asters in his braid to place it behind the ear of his kid, “Now we can be both pretty!”
Also to add, Venti is also the type of parent to use dad jokes as a joke but it’s too often that it seems like he actually makes those types of jokes.
Just know Venti and his kid would be a very happy pair in the future and at the end of time!

Shaking up your inbox with this one for all your married muses:
You get pinched on the butt by your partner, wyd?
//This answer is so long (like my dick), I'm not tagging it with more'n the essentials god bless.
Cable – Would actually be surprised if Wade didn’t pull Some Shit Like This™… and that’s without telepathy.
Gavin Reed – When he was married, he would jump and cuss at the top of his lungs—flailing and hissing, the whole bit.
Harley Quinn – You know that squeal she makes? That. She jumps and it’s pretty much the cutest shit ever, zero homicide. She loves her Pammy.
Jim Kirk – Honestly it’s RARE, but our beloved Captain (sometimes Admiral) does his level best to maintain dignity.
Johnny Cage – In all verses, across all timelines, he whips out a classic charmer line and his spouse HAAAAAATES him for it, but they should’ve known better.
Kung Lao – Eyes wide, lips pressed together, holding back a yelp. He knows who it is—nobody else but Liu Kang would have the moxxy to pull that shit, but it surprises him every time.
Matt Horner – Okay if it’s Mira, he’s screaming and moving away quickly, possibly pulling a firearm. Valerian, he’s still going to scream, thinking it’s Mira, but when it isn’t and the Emperor is feeling frisky, all bets are off.
Mileena – She goes red, hisses, and pretends she doesn’t love it. Tanya knows better.
Mordecai – is just impressed Brick found enough cheek to pinch.
Noctis – Squawk. I don’t know what other word describes that noise—plus he goes red to his big ol’ ears.
Piccolo – Grunts a little then makes a crack about being impressed Vegeta could reach. Violence ensues, but dw they’re into it.
Raiden – Quiet intake of breath at the audacity of it, but Shang Tsung is nothing if not audacious—one must be, if one is to wed and bed a god.
Rayden – Gives it right tf back—usually with a crotch grab so beware. Porno moans optional, depends on how much of a goblin he feels like bein’.
Sandman – “Hey!” Followed by the dumbest old man dad grin you’ve ever seen.
Scorpion – “THIS DISHONOR WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED.” Violence. It’s Shirai-Ryu tradition probably.
Holmes – Actual surprise???
Snake – “Hrrn, Otacon…!” They then proceed to fumble about and then make slow, languorous love. It’s pretty great when love blooms on the battlefield, innit?
Shiro – Like, the cutest “EH!” you’ve ever heard out of a dorito-shaped man.
Twisted Fate – “Well ain’t you cheeky? Gunna finish what you started, big man?” Or some variation on that theme. He is very in love with his giant dingus husband (which is fortunate because Graves is very in love with his twinky dingus husband, so it all works out)
Valerian Mengsk – A surprisingly Anime Gasp™ for a man his size.
The Boss – A comical scream that sounds so much like Nolan North you’d swear it was Nolan North, but that’s crazy… right?

Send ‘Ship Bias’ and I will share up to 5 Ships I have a bias for for my muse!
@muraenide
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ei and Hyousuke (or RaidenHyou. Same thing. Fight me.) - This ship could go many ways. This would probably be my “main” ship for Hyousuke if anybody were to ask. I don’t mind shipping them romantically, platonically, or even as mere enemies. I like to leave things up for interpretation too, like if Ei’s puppet never existed then it was Ei who tried to kill Hyousuke instead of the puppet (although technically “canonically” speaking, it was still Ei who struck the sword, cuz she controlled the sword from the Euthymia, I think). I’d also think their chemistry could be similar to Itto and Sara’s, except Ei and Hyousuke legit want to kill each other. Hyousuke wants Ei dead, and meanwhile Itto just wants to fight Sara just cuz. If they want each other dead though, why did Ei spare the guy and sent him flying to Snezhnaya or Fontaine? Sometimes I tend to hc Ei had someone she loved but was forced to kill him when he fell into corruption, and Hyousuke somewhat resembled the guy in someway and maybe Hyousuke reminded Ei of the guy, so while she did hit him with the musou no hitotachi, he doesn’t die from it but instead gets sent flying to whole ass new continent. There was also a comic I saw before it got deleted that Hyousuke and Ei were in love, but not only was Hyousuke a human and Ei was an archon and it was forbidden for a human an archon to be in love, both sides were enemies to each other but Ei and Hyousuke were in love but Hyousuke’s dad forces him to stop the madness of being in love or whatever the fuck, and then Hyousuke puts up the whole betraying his beloved act and then Ei kills him just to find that in the end Hyousuke still loved her and Ei was so heartbroken. So ye. I think their relationship could go many ways whether it be forbidden love, unrequited, platonic, or them wanting to murder each other. I’m sad there’s barely any fanart of them together anymore :(
Tumblr media
Hyousuke and Kazuha - You probably know this is a very popular ship lol. I honestly didn’t ship it at first but then me and a friend of mine discussed some possible chemistry between the two, and now I love this ship thanks to them, although I still prefer to ship them platonically, but aye. I’m fine with them being a romantic pair too. Either way I love angst and I always crave angst. Hyousuke had been deemed dead by the Raiden Shogun and all of Inazuma, and Kazuha saw it with his own eyes that he was struck by the hitotachi move which is an instant death move, so of course everyone would think Hyousuke is dead (but of course in reality he’s actually alive and had been in either Snezhnaya or Fontaine after being deemed dead by all of Inazuma lmao). The closest friend Hyousuke’s really had was Kazuha. Sure he also had Kokomi, Ayato, Thoma, Ayaka, and Yoimiya, but Hyousuke was moreso close with Kazuha since they were childhood friends and their families plus Itto knew each other. Their families plus Itto fought alongside each other until the end, so they all have this familial bond with each other and even call each other family. Hyousuke calls Kazuha his “kyodai” for brother. Anyway while they were still young and sometime after Hyousuke’s parents fell in battle, Hyousuke takes his leave from Konda Village and the two pretty much go their separate ways. Kazuha still had his family, and meanwhile Hyousuke had no one (unless we wanna count Itto cuz Hyousuke calls him his uncle moreso out of respect and the fact that this dude practically raised him too). Years go by and both are grown ups, they reunite similar to how Beidou and Kazuha met, but are not exactly on good terms, considering Hyousuke left the village, and he was also becoming jealous of his own bestfriend cuz he still had his family (although as the years went by a majority of them eventually passed away and a few just poofed somewhere and never came back), and Kazuha became lonely after losing his family.  I have so many headcanons for the two but gsdcgjmsjkhcjg
Tumblr media
Itto and Hyousuke - Itto practically raised the guy, so romantically shipping them is like... out of the question for me (yet I ship Sothe and Micaiah from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, and she practically raised Sothe, I think <_<, and I also ship Robin and Lucina, and Robin was like there when was Lucina was born... >_>). I saw a fanart of these two being childhood buddies too, and aye I’m up for that too. For me though I like to hc that these two also have a strong familial bond. Just as strong as Kazuha and Hyousuke’s bond. Hyousuke calls Itto “ojisan” for uncle moreso out of respect, and Itto considers him his nephew or little buddy. Itto is probably always going to refer to him as his little buddy just cuz he loves the boy and he also probably likes to brag sometimes that he raised him. It’s sort of like one of those parenting things where no matter how old we are, we’ll always be our parents’ kid. It’s kinda like that with Itto. No matter how old Hyousuke is, Itto is always going to love him and call him his nephew or little buddy. Sometime after Hyousuke left Konda Village at such a young age and snuck onto a ship not knowing where it was going, but ended up on Yashiori Island, Itto found the boy caught in a trap that he and his gang set up in hopes to catch people from the Tenryou Commission but instead they caught Hyousuke. Itto kinda scolds the boy for running away from home but also offers to take him in while he’s living with Granny Oni, and from then onwards Itto pretty much raised the boy. I can also go on about my hcs for the two but skdvjvjgf :’)
Hyousuke and Gorou - Not really a ship for me, but I just like to hc that these two never really got along for some reason eversince Hyousuke joined the resistance army and also left. Hyousuke joined before being reunited with Kazuha. Gorou has always been sus of Hyousuke for who knows why. Maybe Gorou’s dad knew Hyousuke’s dad cuz Hyousuke’s dad did use to be in the resistance army too when Gorou and Kokomi were still young and before Kokomi became priestess and before Gorou became a general, so Gorou could have possibly been a little pup and knew Hyousuke’s dad as one of the honorable samurais the army and both died an honorable death. Gorou’s father and Hyousuke’s father were also a bit like rivals, but they definitely fought together in battle, and Gorou’s dad died protecting Hyousuke’s father. Years later since Gorou became general and Hyousuke joins, maybe the moment Hyousuke mentioned being the son of Hajime Saito, Gorou just couldn’t help but feel some kind of hatred and also blame Hyousuke for his father’s death even though Hyousuke had nothing to do with that, and when Hyousuke left the army, Gorou’s unknown hatred and suspicions for Hyousuke just raises.
Hyousuke and Kokomi - Not really a ship either, but Kokomi gave him a chance to join the resistance even though Gorou didn’t like it (lol), and she was familiar with the Saito name since her mother knew Hyousuke’s father (Hajime Saito). I kinda like to think these two became good friends and nothing more. Anyway Kokomi admired Hyousuke since he reminded her of Hajime and some of the stories he would tell to her and Gorou when the two were kids. He of course mentioned his son (Hyousuke) a few times to them and believed that someday he would be a great samurai and make many people around him proud and loved. Meanwhile whenever Kokomi and Hyousuke got to hang out a bit, he’d tell her stories about his mother and father, like how his father would tell her and Gorou stories about Hyousuke. Kokomi was a bit saddened when Hyousuke left the resistance but she also respected his decision and meanwhile Gorou just kept on growling and talking shit.

“I forgave you along time ago..” She sad, While looking at him in the eyes.
He gulped at her. then left with his Thunder teleportation.
*After years*
“Come here children! Its dinner time!” Selviya lovingly called her children they came hurried to her as they hugged her and kissed her. Then their father came, he laughed purely at the sight in front of him. He looks at his beloved wife, she was gently holding their infant daughter Ai Liang. she took Ai to breastfeed her. She is smiling at her husband until her Infant child bites her hard. She patiently feed her daughter taking bites here and there but she is still smiling and adoring her babygirl.
Qiang and Liling are 5 years old

And Ai is only months old.
“She is a beautiful like her mother.” Kuai Flirted with Selviya, She chuckles with amusement afterwards.
“She is indeed!” She responded, while breastfeeding her

“Sorry but no.. you know what happend when you last time asked that..” Selviya softly refused, reminding them of the snowballs fight while there were “cooling” their food
“Oh! That was a really cool and fun!” Liu laughed at this.
Selviya rolled her eyes, then took a breath
“How did my parents was patient with me.” She thought referring to her adoptive parents (Maria and Aran)
“Now kids! Behave and listen to your mother i will cool your food instead!” their father Said as he came closer to cool their food, Liu looks at Wang giving him the signals to start the snowballs
“Snowballs fight!” Liu and Wang suddenly shout and throws snowballs on everything on the room, on their father on their other sibling and on their mother face (Rofl)
“Stop it!!!” Selviya called, Completely ignorning their mother and continue “playing”
That was the last straw when an ice ball hit their youngest sister on the face. She calmly got up and Uses her frozen gaze on then, They both looked at their mother and Start behaving and continue eating their food. Kuai Brushed the ice ball from his face completely annoyed by his children behaviour.
“So-sorry mother…” They both apologised
“Thats it! Your Visiting Grandpa and grandma Levsloky! After the meal you will change your clothes then get ready, you clearly need some Etiquette to be taught! And hopefully Grandma levsloky would be so happy to provide ” She calmly replied. Liu and wang shriek, apparently they dislike Their grandparents Levsloky. While Liling and Qiang are happy with this.
“No! No! please mother! We will behave we will behave!” They both begged, she still breastfeeding her Babygirl.
“No buts! You promised you will not do snowballs fight in food table! You broke your promise and plus we didn’t see them in a week so!” Selviya Muttered, with her usual soft tone.
“Dad! Say something!” They Turned to their father for help, He is torn between Listening to his wife and his child pleading reaction.
“Kids.. i know its a bit harsh but.. you need to learn!” Kuai Liang Responded with a serious tone.
“Thanks for being a father of nothing!” Liu Cried, Kuai and Selviya sighs.
“Do not talk to your father like that!..” Selviya came to them after she’s done from feeding her daughter. She Puts her hands on her waist sassily.
“Thats unfair! We only wanted to have fun!” Wang argued, Selviya and Kuai Sighs again..
“Anyway i’m ready to Go! Liling and Qiang are you ready!” She softly calls to her oldest Children, they happily Came to them.
“Yes! Mother!” Both replied excited to go to their grandparnets house
“Alright then lets go..” Selviya Uttered happily, Kuai gave a peck on the lips.
“Safe trip!” Their father chuckles. As he give another Final kiss to their mother.
“Thanks Qīn. Stay safe in the clan!” She said, then she put her daughter into A kids stroller
After they arrived to their Car, a silent eye was watching them. The one who’s watching Saw them so happy as a family. She wished that she was with then. Having fun with her brothers and sisters. Its hurts that her mother “forgot” about her and move on in her life.
“I miss you mother but together will see each other soon!..” Mitsuko mumbled to herself
As she is shedding a tear. Mourning her childhood and her mother. How can life be so cruel and unfortunate.

Spill the tea and tell us about your crushes (irl, online, fictional), to whatever extend you feel comfortable!
I tend to crush on whatever fictional character exists in the fandom that is my current hyperfixation so, FEDYOR MY BELOVED. But also Genya is my wife that I would defend with my entire life and would dedicate my heart and soul to her. Then there's Seteth from fire emblem three houses ...gosh 😳 hot dragon dad. And of course miss Baal "Raiden Shogun" from Genshin impact. There is nothing I wouldn't do for her, she's strong and gorgeous and has a tragic backstory, what's there not to love?

a friend in need
this one like, makes no sense within the new kontinuity but like, here ya go--fuck it! Pretty much Shao Kahn is invading (as one does), Kronika is absolutely messing with the timelines, and this is definitely like 25 years in the future so you have Dad!Johnny and a Liu Kang who has just flirted with death by Raiden, who is now wielding Shinnok’s shitty amulet, which means Shinnok is also headless, but like fuck that guy amirite? This time, he doesn’t deliver the head to Revenant Kitana and Liu Kang because they aren’t revenants, there was no assault on the netherrealm. OH and as always, uh, tumblr doesn’t preserve italics so if it’s incoherent ... it’s ‘cause I’m a lazy piece of shit and I didn’t wanna go back through and dig ‘em up.
I have no idea what I’m doing.
Faraday Cage (implied??)
Prevented Timeline
Energy crackled and radiated outward, sparking off pavement, trees, vehicles, people—anything with which it came in contact. Fires had erupted all over and people were fighting them as best they could, but with little hope of relief. At the center was an angry god, grieved at great loss, enraged beyond his own ability to control.
Earthrealm could not be protected by a weak, fatherly deity; Raiden understood that now, and it scared him. His own weakness scared him. His foolishness scared him. The “justice” of the Elder Gods scared him. He would end this fight and all fights, because they, for some reason, were not. He had to do this; there was no other way. Why did no one understand? He was singular in his purpose and not even the chosen of Earthrealm, Liu Kang, could stand in his way.
Raiden had taken his own advice, a frightful echo from a future as yet unknown, an Armageddon which killed them all, himself included. It had taken many trials and many more errors to realize his own, true meaning.
“He must win.”
Raiden had finally reached the conclusion that the “he” in question was not Liu Kang, earthrealm’s chosen, but Shao Kahn, the bloodthirsty outworld dictator. Reality shivered under the threat of the merging, however, and still the Elder Gods did not step in. How far would this have to go? Did they know that Shao Kahn’s army was, even now, trampling the tenuous pact between the realms? Did they care?
“Liu, over here!” It was Johnny Cage, older now, a father, and proud of his little girl, but right now, damn near shitting in his britches to see Raiden this way. He offered an arm and pulled Liu Kang to his feet. He and a few others were taking shelter behind a small building which shook with the march of outworld foot soldiers and presently began to flicker with a terrible energy.
Raiden had warned himself, somehow, that the merging of realms must begin, that this was the meaning of victory in his own prophetic words, for the Elder Gods to step in. Shao Kahn had begun his dark work, however, and still nothing moved, nothing in favor of the forces of light and justice, anyway. It seemed the Elder Gods had a different idea of what it meant to maintain balance.
“Your tournament is canceled, puny god! I have rescinded my generous invitation!” Shao Kahn called, raising his great hammer to the sky as Outworld merged with Earthrealm, tearing down buildings and reconstructing them in hideous amalgams. People fled and were trampled; people stood and were gored. He would line the streets with bodies before the day was out and only Raiden stood before him. Raiden, who had fought his own, dear Liu Kang, who had defied him nearly to death.
Had he died? Was Liu Kang dead? Raiden could not see him. He could not see anything past the haze of fury clouding his vision and judgment. I have killed him, again, as it was said I always will, as I always must. The thought was errant, not his own, and be brushed it aside, focusing on Shao Kahn and the present. It was his only choice.
“He… Johnny—you should have seen his eyes,” Liu Kang gasped, slumping to his rear-end near the wall. Jacqui Briggs stooped to examine him, checking for external injuries, and wishing for a better facility in which to check for internal. She was no expert, but godly lightning probably left a different mark.
“I see ‘em from here, Liu, and it’s… this is fucked,” grunted the Hollywood star, handing the binoculars over to his daughter, Cassie. She shook her head.
“He said we had to let Shao Kahn win, or else the Elder Gods would never step in,” gasped Liu Kang between labored breaths. Something was definitely wrong and if it was not treated soon, it could become permanent. “They… aren’t stepping in—I knew they didn’t care about us. I…” He groaned in agony and Jacqui pushed him back down.
“Hold still, Chosen One, your guts’ve been rearranged by a pissed off god—maybe take it easy.”
“If I ‘take it easy’, we all die,” Liu Kang snapped, jaw tight. Jacqui gave him a look that suggested she would take no lip, no matter how damn chosen he was. She could see from the way he held himself, the way his muscles tensed and tightened, that he was going to get much worse before he got better, especially if he pushed. They might not have a choice, soon enough, but while they did, there was no point risking it.
He met her gaze, burning with rage and sadness, with his own. They were matched in this way, both earthrealm natives with everything and more to lose, both people who had fought, tooth and nail, against this very thing. Sitting by idly and wishing things were otherwise was not something to which either Liu Kang or Jacqui Briggs were accustomed.
“Dad!” They looked up suddenly at Cassie’s shout, pulled from their moment of mutual grief. She was reaching out to an empty space where Johnny had just been standing. Before she could go after him, Jacqui was at her back, grasping her elbow, hard.
“No,” she hissed, “you’ll be fried—we don’t know if Raiden’s friendly anymore… if he ever was.” Cassie jerked her elbow away, but Jacqui held tight and shook her head. “I mean it, Cass. Your dad’s… gunna do what he’s gunna do, just like mine.”
With effort, she pulled Cassie back and away from the violent arcs of red lightning that were even now consuming trees and landscaping, cars, enemy soldiers, anything within the dome of the thunder god’s power—an area that was growing.
Raiden and Shao Kahn met somewhere in the middle, just beyond the portal the Outworld emperor had opened to begin the invasion and merging of Earthrealm to his blasted home. Still, the Elder gods did not stir.
Shao Kahn’s hammer swung mightily and met a fist that moved with swift violence. A thunderclap resounded, flattening the area and then cratering it. Neither hand nor head of hammer shattered, but that was of no consequence to Shao Kahn, who reached out and hauled Raiden forward by his collar.
The thunder god looked into the emperor’s animal eyes and neither hated nor pitied him. Raiden’s rage was beyond petty hatred for the man which had caused his beloved Earthrealm so much grief over the centuries. He would simply destroy Shao Kahn. It had become singularly simple in his eyes. He had been a fool. He would end this once and for all, for everyone, forever.
Perhaps it was the look, the nearly directionless fury which met his eyes that made Shao Kahn drop Raiden. Johnny Cage, who had worked himself much closer than was probably safe, watched from a ways off and still could not pinpoint what it was that had Shao Kahn backing away from the thunder god.
“It is forbidden for you to fight,” Shao Kahn warned, with more authority and sureness in his voice than it seemed he felt. Even his minions began to back away as Raiden’s arced, red lightning crashed violently into them, disintegrating here, vaporizing there, starting fires all over. Raiden’s chest heaved with the effort of either sustaining the onslaught, or holding it back, Johnny wasn’t sure.
On that heaving chest, Shinnok’s awful amulet pulsed with life and light, beckoning and promising strength. Raiden reached for it, but hesitated, seemingly doubting himself for the merest fraction of a second. It was in that span of time that Shao Kahn regained his courage and swung again. This time, he would have caught the god of thunder on the chin, had it not been for the quick footwork of Johnny Cage.
This time, boots met hammer and the clash was not so even. Shao Kahn drove Johnny back into a building. His back hit concrete and he was certain he felt something snap, but if he gave up now, Raiden was absolutely going to do something stupid. He didn’t understand Shinnok’s power, or even who and what Shinnok really was, or had been, as the case was, but he knew an evil piece of jewelry when he saw it.
“Time for a scene change,” he grunted, pushing himself to his feet and spitting blood. The tang of adrenaline was on his tongue and coursed through his veins, making him hyper focus upon this detail or that. Johnny fancied he could hear Cassie screaming somewhere in the distance, but right now, his focus was on the battle before him.
“You are too weak to use that amulet on me, or anyone, thunder god,” Shao Kahn mocked, manufacturing enough bravado to satisfy his immense ego. Raiden grimaced, as if considering whether or not the man was right. He ground his teeth and once more moved to grasp Shinnok’s amulet. Shao Kahn struck again, this time with a boot.
Raiden was forced to block this with a cross before his chest and to step back. He balled one fist and surrounded it with lightning, shaking his head. “You do not know my power,” he growled, “but rest assured, Shao Kahn, you will.” Raiden discharged the lightning at Shao Kahn, who used his hammer as a ground and laughed.
“Pathetic, and weak.” Each descriptor was punctuated with a sharp wag of his finger toward Raiden’s chest and the deadly amulet which sat thereupon.
“I am not weak—I am doing as I have always done. I am protecting Earthrealm.” His hand once more rose to the amulet. “Whatever that takes, I will do it.”
With that, he wound up a massive store of radiant, red energy and hurled it at Shao Kahn. The tyrant was hurled back mightily, taking out a score of his foot soldiers as he flew. Raiden continued forward, his pace slow, but deliberate. The troops of outworld were suddenly cowed by this display, as if their fellows being randomly vaporized had not been enough. Something had shifted, they sensed, and they began to back away.
“You are forbidden, Raiden!” This time, Shao Kahn’s voice was laced with fear; the confidence he had earlier displayed with his first remark of this kind had evidently deserted him in the face of what Raiden had become. Once more, the deity slowly reached for Shinnok’s amulet. It was as if a very small part of him still fought for his own innocence, whatever might have been left of it.
Meanwhile, Johnny had begun to close the distance between himself and the wrathful god. He could feel his hair standing on end with the force of the red lightning radiating outward from Raiden’s body. He was tense, the actor could see that from where he was, and… Are those tears? He shook off the thought as a stray bolt vaporized a fire hydrant less than a yard from him; it burst into a geyser of city water which soon began raining down upon everyone in the vicinity.
Johnny ducked behind a bike rack, realized that was probably a poor choice of cover, and scuttled along on the ground until he found a trash bin that looked as if it was made of plastic composite, rather than anything that might conduct those wicked red arcs of enraged power. His heart was hammering a thousand miles per hour and for a moment, he wondered if that was the first sign of an electricity-induced heart attack. Maybe he had been struck and did not realize it.Thinking about the ramifications of that hurt his head, so he stopped and decided to do what he did best.
“Now or never,” he told himself, taking a deep breath and fully expecting to be vaporized like the fire hydrant. It would be guts, however, not water spraying about, if he was lucky. Speaking of the water, too much of it, and Johnny would be zapped for sure; he was already soaked to the bone. Oh like it’s any different than what I’m about to do, he hissed internally, covering his face to keep his sunglasses dry. He needed to be able to see for this one. Johnny simply told himself that god lightning was different than the regular stuff and, in a burst of foolish energy, tossed himself around the trash bin and ran, full tilt, toward Raiden’s position.
A wayward bolt struck his glasses, tossing them from his face and exploding stars before his eyes. Johnny stumbled and, somewhere in the distance—she sounded thousands of miles away—he thought he could hear Cassie’s voice calling his name. He prayed someone was holding her back, because if this went south, as he was almost sure it would, she would be about to fight a hurricane with a pair of pistols. Raiden was not going to be stopped, but Johnny felt that it was his duty to try. Liu’s shouldered too fuckin’ much already—my turn, he reasoned, forcing himself to keep going, running harder and faster than he had ever done in his life.
Raiden had stopped his inexorable stride and Shao Kahn looked on in bewilderment as the earthrealm action star closed the gap, running directly into that deadly lightning. He had been so sure Johnny’s miserable back had broken against that building. There was something to be said for the tenacity of a cornered, wounded animal.
The god turned his head, acknowledging Johnny with eyes as red as his lightning. Sure as shit, Johnny thought, noting that Raiden was, indeed, in tears, though they did not seem to be saline, as a human’s might be—they stood out, even upon his pale flesh, catching light and reflecting it like diamonds—or perhaps rubies, stained by the power of his rage.
“Stop it, man!” Johnny called, reaching a hand out. Raiden still did not move, but neither did he cease his bombardment. Shao Kahn’s forces were at a standstill, watching, for once uncertain of the correct path. Some were even edging toward the portal, back to outworld and relative safety. “Raiden—you listening to me? You don’t hafta—”
A bolt struck him square in the chest and he dropped to his knees, eyes wide, staring with pain and fear at the man—the god—who had struck him down. Raiden seemed to shift a little at that and then to turn. Johnny had caught his attention and would have held it but for Shao Kahn’s voice. “An earthrealm fraud has halted your march, Lord Raiden—what sort of god are you?!” He urged his forces forward, but no one stirred. Shao Kahn looked around and once more met Raiden’s eyes, which were again trained upon him. Raiden covered Shinnok’s dark amulet with his hand.
“No more.”
Cassie continued to scream. Johnny could hear her now. He was coming to, realizing that he was not, in fact, dead, nor even too terribly scorched. At the last moment, evidently, the magic of his strange heritage had leapt up to protect him, but he could feel in his bones that this would not happen again. He had one chance. For Cassie, he thought, all those kids—for Liu and Sonya, for Jax, and Earthrealm. His heart thudded and he started forward, first at a trot, the once more at a leaping gallop. For Raiden.
Before the god could respond, Johnny Cage had tossed his arms around that broad, pillar-like torso. He had never realized just how big Raiden actually was, and thought perhaps he had allowed himself to retain a human size when dealing directly with them. He had to have been at least seven feet tall and change, but Johnny held tight all the same. He could feel the surge of anger within his own body, as if it belonged to him, originated IN him—and it scared him.
“Christ,” he grunted, “is this what you’re feeling?”
It was then that the outworld dictator chose to rush them. With him leading the charge, his hordes felt renewed confidence and vigor and lunged forth as one, howling their triumph over earthrealm. Raiden seemed frozen in place, but only for a moment. He seemed suddenly to come back to himself, as if he had been far away, no longer in control of his limbs or actions—certainly of his lightning.
He wrapped one powerful arm around Johnny, who still held him, and with the other, lashed a wide, sweeping arc of blue-white lightning across the crowd, thus releasing his hold on the wicked amulet. Shao Kahn’s hammer protected him, but his troops were not so lucky. There was a smell of ozone and charred flesh left hanging in the air when Shao Kahn opened his eyes and straightened.
“Send your champion to face me, then!” Shao Kahn shouted, beating his chest, his hubris undiminished. His tone was desperate, and he seemed far too eager, too frantic, to regain and retain control over this place. Johnny looked to Raiden, then back to Shao Kahn. He knew what this meant. He’d been at this long enough.
“So you’re declaring Mortal Kombat?” Johnny was going to be absolutely clear on this one, since… god contracts and all that—or something. He wasn’t wholly certain on this point, but it seemed to be the right thing to do. Shao Kahn seemed actually to consider this. His troops were slaughtered or retreating, Raiden was placated for the time being, but who knew how long that could last? His konquest had begun unlawfully, but for the loophole of his not quite initiating a merging of realms. That would be his next step—because if there existed no earthrealm champions to defend her, then who would stop him?
“Yes, earthrealm clown,” Shao Kahn rumbled, slapping the handle of his great hammer on one rough palm.
“Mime, actually,” came another voice from across a few lanes of what would have been traffic. Emerging from the alley where they were taking shelter, Liu Kang led their friends, injured and whole, into the open. He was supported by a grimacing Jacqui Briggs, but it was clear from his expression that no was not an answer he would be hearing today. Raiden’s shoulders sagged a little in relief; he had not killed Liu Kang after all.
“Thank you, Liu—wait hang on…” Johnny narrowed his eyes at his friend, a younger version of Liu Kang, one he had not seen in years, that was, before all this fuckery came about. The Shaolin fighter did not respond and seemed, for a moment, not to be able to meet Johnny’s eyes. In fact, if Johnny wasn’t tripping completely, he could have sworn that the guy was blushing. Still got it, he thought, grinning.
Before he could continue, however, Cassie broke into a gait he very much recognized as one that signaled extreme displeasure. Her face held a look of grim determination as she stomped toward her father. Johnny knew he was in for it and backed away, hands up.
“Whoa, whoa, pumpkin, easy, huh?” He looked between Shao Kahn and his daughter and realized he would rather face the outworld tyrant. “C’mon—easy, what was your old man s’posed to do?”
“Not get fried by a pissed off god and leave me a fucking ORPHAN? MAYBE?” Her voice held an edge of hysterical panic he did not like. “Oh. Shit…” she stammered, stopping just as her path crossed Raiden’s. “I’m—sorry… I didn’t mean—”
“You did,” said the god, inclining his head toward her, “but you are not incorrect.”
Cassie was sheepish and mumbled another apology. Raiden seemed to understand her position, however, and addressed it no more. Instead, he turned his attention upon the waiting tyrant.
“When will this foolishness subside so that I can begin the konquest of your filthy realm, Raiden?!” Shao Kahn was growing impatient. “The earthrealmer has declared Mortal Kombat and I accept, on the terms that, when I win, the merge will begin and you, pitiful servant of the Elder Gods, will stand aside and bow to their will as you have always done!”
Johnny’s jaw tightened at this hateful commentary upon Raiden’s character, but for once in his life, he held his tongue. Now was not the time to bandy words with dictators and monsters; now was the time to make them eat those words with a garnish of ball-crushing whoop-ass.
“It is my destiny to fight Shao Kahn,” Liu Kang hissed, eyeing Johnny, his gaze flinty. The hardness in his voice and tone belied the real fear that they were thwarting destiny and tempting a fate no one was equipped to handle. His eyes snapped to Raiden, then, pleading. Raiden shook his head. Jacqui echoed the movement. Even now, protesting this, Liu leaned heavily upon her, in no condition to fight.
“Guess it’s not, Liu—stand back and watch.” Johnny would hear no more, turning toward his opponent and shouting. “I accept your terms, Shao Kahn—winner take all.” I mean, I’m not gunna take over outworld, but like… it sounds pretty good when I say it out loud, his fevered brain nattered.
He must win. Raiden’s own, incomprehensible words came back to him in a sickening echo he still wondered, even now, to whom his future self had been referring. He had been so sure it was Shao Kahn, but that sureness had nearly killed his chosen champion. He met Liu Kang’s furious gaze.
“By the rules of Mortal Kombat, the challenge must be taken up by the one who declared it. I am sorry, Liu Kang, but this fight indeed belongs to Johnny Cage.”
Johnny heard his name, but no more. He was focused, utterly and completely, upon Shao Kahn, who stood a few yards hence, leaning upon the head of his hammer and observing the company with such arrogance, it turned Johnny’s guts. He cracked his knuckles and rolled his head upon broad shoulders.
“Okay big guy, you heard the god. Let’s fuckin’ go.” He dropped into a deep stance and beckoned Shao Kahn. The tyrant chuckled, the sound a raspy, hollow thing, mirthless and full of contempt and triumph for a victory he had not yet won.
Johnny made the first move, using his distance to gain speed and launch into a combination of forceful, heavy kicks which utilized his size and the length of his legs. Shao Kahn blocked these with little effort and jabbed in return, hoping to push Johnny off balance.
The years had made him wily and this was not the Johnny Cage that Shao Kahn remembered, so cocksure and arrogant, his insecurities showing upon his countenance like a glowing sign, pushed by his own self doubt to showboat and make light of his own skill. This Johnny was an old veteran of many ugly fights; he was vicious, clever, and quick.
Using the tyrant’s momentum against him, Johnny ducked around him and launched into a hard kick to the back of Shao Kahn’s head. This, the tyrant bore with an enraged snarl, a stumble, and a wide, arcing swing of the hammer. That swing, too, Johnny dodged, spitting in his opponent’s direction. “Gunna hafta do better’n that, slugger!”
“So your arrogance has not been tempered,” Shao Kahn commented. “Good, good. That will make your defeat all the more satisfying.” He laughed viciously and swung the hammer down, shaking the ground around them. Johnny found himself out of sorts for a moment, but it was long enough for Shao Kahn to catch him up in one hand, tossing the hammer aside and plying both powerful limbs to their grim task. He lifted Johnny over his head and began to bend. “Do you see your champion, Thunder God?”
Raiden, formerly watching with a mask of impassive disinterest, was suddenly assaulted by visions of Johnny Cage, broken nearly in two, over the shoulders of this selfsame tyrant. He could hear Shao Kahn’s triumphant laugh, the horrified scream of Sonya Blade, the heartbroken, barely-audible moan of Liu Kang. As he blinked, the entire scene flashed behind his eyes and, without thinking, he stretched forth one hand and fired a bolt of pure, blue-white lightning.
With a single shot, Raiden, god of thunder and protector of earthrealm, ended it all.
Shao Kahn was vapor, dust in the light breeze that had begun to pick up. Johnny picked himself up, heart hammering once more, and looked between the two. Shao Kahn had been mere moments from snapping him in half, powerful hands crushing him wherever they reached, his back beginning to feel the strain of the man’s prodigious strength when, all at once, it was over and he was on the ground.
Coughing and righting himself, Johnny’s only thought was for the thunder god and he rushed back to where Raiden stood, staring, shocked (there was a pun here someplace), at his own hand, as if he had never before seen it. The amulet, curiously, remained upon his chest, unused, bearing no mark of having been harnessed.
“I…” Raiden stammered as Johnny reached him. The others now turned their attention upon Johnny Cage and Raiden, who had sunk to the ground together, Johnny’s rough hands finding either side of Raiden’s face. They were murmuring—mostly Johnny, in point of fact—and no one was sure if they should get close. Liu Kang directed them away and gestured that they ought to start dealing with the portal, which was still open and the merging, which was, indeed, continuing its inexorable work. He hoped, silently, that the Elder Gods actually did decide to step in, because he was no sorcerer, nor was he a god and could not see himself becoming either in the near future.
“Hey,” Johnny hissed, “it’s okay—it’s gunna be fine… You finished it, y’know? It’s—”
“It is not over, Johnny Cage,” responded the god, eyes downcast. “I have upset the balance; the Elder Gods will be furious. The consequences—”
“Seriously,” Johnny interrupted, “fuck the Elder Gods—what’ve they done for us, huh?” Raiden’s eyes opened wide at these words of blasphemy and he reached out to grasp the lapels of Johnny’s vest.
“You know not of what you speak, Johnny Cage,” warned Raiden. Johnny hated that fearful look on Raiden’s face. It was foreign and wrong and did not belong there. Johnny scowled deeply.
“I know a thing or three about shit parents… Listen, this whole… fatherhood thing, y’know, it blows sometimes—no offense Cass; I love ya pumpkin—and it’s… like a never-ending cavalcade of horseshit, nonsense, and doubt.” He shook his head. “I had ONE. I can’t imagine being the… like, dad of a whole-ass world…realm… thingy.” Pursing his lips, Johnny searched for his next words, choosing them carefully. “We spend our whole damn lives worrying and wondering if we did all we could—if we fucked up somewhere along the way and if that… y’know, if it caused more pain than it should’ve, or… more than we knew at the time, or could ever know.” He sighed. “And yeah, it’s gunna do that—it will do that. You’re going to hurt your kids and sometimes meaning well isn’t the be-all, end-all… the ends don’t always justify the means and all that shit… But the bottom line here is that a good parent does THAT, y’know, looks back and… worries… about the process. Getting there ain’t always half the fun, big guy—and frankly, whoever-the-fuck got you here, where you are right now? They’re not the good kind. Just sayin’.”
Raiden looked as if he had never been told that the Elder Gods were poor parents. He looked as if he had never considered them parents at all, which Johnny supposed made sense, since they weren’t exactly physical beings or whatever, but sometimes, one had to wonder at the “my ways are higher than your ways” explanation. He, still holding either side of Raiden’s face, pressed their foreheads together and closed his eyes. “We’re gunna be all right, man—I promise. I… we… no one’s gunna let anything happen to you—y’know or earthrealm, or whatever.” He had clearly run out of words, for the time being.
“Thank you, Johnny Cage,” whispered Raiden solemnly. “Your faith and fair words mean more to me than you can know.”
“Ah, one more thing, though.” Evidently, Johnny was not completely out of words. “Just… Just Johnny, please? Whenever I hear the whole thing, I kinda assume I’m in deep shit—y’know and y’really don’t wanna go there with a god—‘specially not the kind who can do… y’know, what you just did.”
Raiden regarded what he had just done very carefully, then regarded Johnny. This, he supposed, was a request he could grant, but it felt strange, not addressing him that way.
“If I am correct, then we are, all of us, in ‘deep shit’.”
“Lord Raiden,” Liu Kang called, hobbling toward them. “Forgive me, but that portal isn’t closing itself and I…”
Raiden shook his head and stood, grasping Johnny’s hands and pulling the man with him. “I will make this right,” he promised, stepping away from the mortals and lifting into the air. Once more, energy crackled all around, but it bore the tranquil, blue-white glow that they were accustomed to seeing. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief at that.
Cassie approached her father slowly. He seemed dazed. She could have slapped him, but she wasn’t sure that wouldn't trigger some kind of heart attack. Johnny’s eyes were wide, fixed on the hovering thunder deity.
“You ah… okay, dad?”
“I don’t… I dunno, kid. I’m not sure. But he is… and right now, that’s kinda what we need.”

how did u get into mortal kombat, pls tell me the story!!
Tumblr media
For munday, you’re allowed to ask me anything you want.
Oh dear! It may be a loooong story, I don’t really know haha! (It probably will be, so sorry for the novel I’m about to write!) I got into the franchise when I was 13 years old, so… twenty five years ago ( yikes! I’m old ;.; ) when my dad brought home the first game for the Sega Genesis. I don’t know what attracted me to it so much: it was different from any other game I’d played before I suppose? I’d never played a fighting game before – and I fell head over heels for Sonya as soon as I saw her. My 13 year old ass was like “I wanna be like Sonya when I’m older” (well I missed the mark by a few miles oops lol ).
Fun anecdote: the Sega Genesis version of Mortal Kombat 1 only had blood and fatalities if you entered the blood code. So the game never did any fatalities on me until I rented Mortal Kombat II, where it was suddenly free for all. First time MKII did a fatality on me, I shut off the console and didn’t wanna play the rest of the day because I was traumatized. I got thrown into the Acid Pit lol But it grew on me rather quickly. Anyway, I didn’t know there was blood and fatalities until then. Note that I did not speak english at the time, only french, so even though my dad bought a few video game magazines, neither of us could read them anyway. Lol
But I digress. I remained a huge fan until MK4 when I didn’t have the console to play. And the graphics then didn’t do it for me. In fact, while I did keep playing during the 3D era, I wasn’t a big fan of it at the time. I mostly played the mini games, like Chess Kombat (which I think they should definitely bring back!).
Fast forward a few years and MKvsDC came out. Not the best of games, but it was decent enough, and it was the first game associated with Warner Bros. Honestly? People can shit on it all they want, this is the game that decided the fate of the franchise. WB wouldn’t have picked it up without testing the waters with Midway. A little while later and MK9 was announced, and suddenly my love for the franchise came back full force. The only reason I didn’t roleplay it at the time is because I didn’t know there was a roleplay community for MK at all at the time lol I was still rping on forums.
MKX came about and I actually, believe it or not, refused to play it for years because my dumbass was under the impression the original cast had been completely replaced with their kids. I wasn’t interested in their kids: I wanted my beloved characters. Little did I know they were still there, because I was dumb and didn’t do my research. I caved in six months or so before MK11 was announced and was shocked by how cool the game was… and pissed off at myself for being so damned stubborn. By then I WAS rping on tumblr however, and gave Mileena a try – unfortunately the community was dead, so I didn’t last very long. Maybe a few weeks at best.
Now MK11 gets announced, and I get hella excited because those graphics? HOLY shit. But I still didn’t have it in me to rp in the community yet. And even if I had, I didn’t know which muse I could pick up. But I kept up with the news, with each trailer, and even got to play the demo when it came out, where you could only play as 4 incomplete characters: Jade, Scorpion, Baraka and I forget the other now. Cassie’s trailer dropped and I remember I was completely enamored. I didn’t like Cassie much in MKX except in Story Mode, and even then, didn’t like her enough to pick her up… but when I saw her in MK11? Right up my alley. Few days later I was adding her to my blog called Grimsouled at the time, a multifandom/oc/multimuse. And honestly? Next to Becky? Best time I’ve had rping in a long while. Later on I picked up Raiden since I was already writing him as a side character in threads – then I picked up Sindel when she was announced because I loved her since MK3 – and finally I picked up Fujin a couple of months ago after seeing his trailer: same as Cassie, I fell in love with him right away. There’s a few reasons I dropped the other muses I had when it was still called Grimsouled instead of Heamatic, or moved them to new blogs (like Maria from Silent Hill 2), but mostly it naturally turned into an MK multimuse as the last year went by.
I’ve really enjoyed the story of Mortal Kombat, especially as of recent. The characters are generally deep and developed, but there’s still enough left to interpretation to make your own headcanons. I like that it took on a more serious tone in the recent years, and the graphics have blown my mind with MK11. Are there mistakes? Oh yes, plenty. But to me it doesn’t matter, it’s the essence and maybe a bit of nostalgia keeping me around. I like this game. It’s FUN. And I love the muses I picked up. :)
I hope that uh… answered your question. Guess I had a lot to say after all LOL Sorry for the wall of text XD
tldr: my dad brought MK1 home when I was 13, 25 years ago, and I’ve MOSTLY been in love with this franchise since.

15 for 15
Rules:  Answer these 15 Qs and tag 15!
Tagged by:  @hpseverussnape (thank you so much, I really enjoy tag games and getting to know everyone a bit better!  <3)
Named after someone?  Yes and no, I suppose?  The simple answer is that my name is technically shares the same etymology as my father’s middle name, but as a feminine diminutive?  But being completely honest, and bigger picture wise, there were some fairly terrible alternatives on the table - this reasoning worked so I ended up with decent first name courtesy of my mum! lolol xD  I will say that another option that was vetoed in favour of said awful suggestions was Octavia, which I would have loved, too!  I really adore my name, I wouldn’t change it for the world, and my username Zella is a quasi shortened version of it that I’ve been using forever!  ^^
When did you last cry?  Ooh, good question!  It usually takes a lot to move me to tears or sadness, but that being said, I’m also really sentimental and a total softy???  So, I think the last time I teared up was watching a Christmas movie and the dog just came back home safely?  If there is an animal involved, especially a dog, there is a decent chance that I will end up crying over a movie!
Any kids?  Nope!  Far too early in my life in my opinion for children, and I really need to focus on professional development first before I can worry about any of that!  (and as much as I do love kids, I don’t think they’re in my future?  Maybe I’ll just rescue shelter dogs or adopt instead?  ^^;;)
Do you use sarcasm a lot?  YUP!  It’s really hard to resist that perfectly witty sarcastic remark, but I do believe that being kind and polite is super important, so my comments are generally never directed at anybody specific nor with any vitriol!  If anything, most of the time they are self-reflexive and used as a joke!  I do adore dry sarcastic humor in shows and stuff though ;P
First thing you notice about people?  Hmmm...  I’ve never really thought about this?  I guess body language and whether they are ok with eye contact?  In terms of physical appearance, probably their nose and their smile haha!  :P
Eye colour?  Medium brown, but much like my hair, it’s more of a honey gold in the light!
Scary Movies or Happy Endings?  CAN I SAY BOTH??  I REALLY WANT TO SAY BOTH!!!  But if I do have to pick, happy endings every time!  ^u^
Any special talents?  Depends how you’d define this?  Like I can tie a cherry stem with my tongue, but I would say in terms of something more useful, it would be something piano related?  I’ve been playing forever, and can learn pieces by ear, but my favourite thing is composing on a whim!  ^0^
Where were you born?  Western Canada!  But ethnically, Dad is Chinese and Mum is Spanish!  <3
Hobbies?  Well, drawing, of course!  But also video games, piano, singing, and baking/cooking!  I love food, and I love trying out new recipes or things I come up with!  ^^
Do you have any pets?  Not currently, no.  A long time ago, Fuzzy was our much beloved family dog.  I also had betta fish, Lorenzo I and Lorenzo II, both of which lasted super long and I absolutely treasured and adored!  I’m a huge animal lover, so I would like to rescue senior dogs in the future, and will most likely have a Lorenzo III as well!
How tall are you?  5′7″!
Do you/did you play any sports?  NOPE!  But if you count chess as a sport, I used to play competitively throughout elementary to high school! ...  But since nobody I know these days plays, I don’t get the chance to practice much ;A;”  I’m also really uncoordinated so I just walk A LOT for physical activity lolol xD
Favourite subject at school?  If we are talking pre-uni, it was consistently history and science (chemistry and bio)!  For uni, I took physiology, but my all time favourite classes were ancient Latin and Greek!!  It’s not really a subject, but from undergrad and now grad stuff, I also have a lot of lab experience and love research!  >0< <333
Dream job?  Clinician scientist!!  I really want to help people, and I think scientific research is a great way to reach so many people!  From a completely different field though, I think voice acting would be so much fun, especially for video games and anime!  ^^
That got long, so thanks for reading all of it haha~  >U<  No pressure on doing this, of course, I just think tag games are great (and it’s especially fun to learn more about each other around the New Year)!
I tag:  @android-turret  @chibi--raiden @cinnabirb17 @detectivesebcas @disgustedcrusader @lokis-queen-hepta-the-destroyer @mimi-chu @mrsalbertweskers @noctambularis @sebcastellanyes @sofich-ebat @starsmicae @supportivepsychopath @whatsanwritepocalae @wirelessshiba

Gerascophobia. bonus points but them meeting their families???
Meme | Accepting!
Gerascophobia: Our muses meet each other forty years from now.
Forty years ago Qiu and Iris were once fresh-faced and young women trying to smoke away their trouble. Three years later, the Shaolin found the courage to marry Ateus, but she never forgot about Iris. The two love birds had children, three children actually. Hai, Jie, and Hua. Iris would have never expected to be an aunt of so many children. “My you’ve grown!” she would exclaim as she spun Jie around the room. “Your mom and dad must be proud of their son!” Of course, Hai would argue and say that they were most proud of him. “No, they’re proud to have two beautiful boys and a wonderful little sister.” When Hua was old enough to speak, everyone discovered Iris was her favorite relative.
Five years later, Qiu and Iris were enjoying a smoke on the balcony of the princess’ room. “I though we said we would quit.” the Shaolin laughed as she brushed the ashes off her skirt,. “We would, KQ.” Two years after that, Iris lost contact of Qiu entirely.
“Where is she!” she screamed, hysterical. “Where is my sister!” The monks shushed and pushed her to her seat. “She wouldn’t just disappear like that!” The redhead cried as Hua stroked her back comfortingly. Hua kneeled in front of her dear aunt and shook her head, searching for the words that would reassure Iris, but they never came out. As Iris cried into her sleeve, the young girl in front of gazed absentmindedly at the large Buddha statue behind them. It was the same statue Qiu made her children pray at every morning and then to their grandfather in the evening.
Six painful years after that meltdown, the supposedly missing Shaolin suddenly appeared out of the blue looking a little more worn. She had her usual braids cut, so now her once long silky hair was short and stuck out in odd places. Iris was stunned and could not stop the tears from rushing from her fiery orange eyes. “Where have you been?!” her voice was a mixture of relief, anger, and worry as she pulled Qiu into a rib-crushing embrace
“All over.”
She again vanished four years later. No one found it odd, though. But unlike the last time, the daughter of Kung Lao never returned.
Twenty years of desperate attempts of Iris finding her beloved sister and not a single clue surfaced. Everyone hoped that she would calm down and wait patiently(because they knew what happened to the Shaolin), but Iris was growing restless.
“What are you hiding from me?” She approached the three kids and their father. No one spoke and the air was stiff and awkward. Soon, Hua spoke up. “Mother, she…” the girl was shaking, but she sucked in a breath and led them to a small shrine in their house. Hua pointed to the pictures behind the burning incense. One was a man, a red ribbon braided in his hair and a playful smile on his lips. Another showed the face of a woman staring off into the distance as if she had been called for. In between the two was the photograph of a woman with her hair in twin braids and a smile that made her heart ache.
“Qiu!” Iris gasped. “Are you telling me-”
“Mama didn’t want to leave,” Hai spoke up, the seriousness of his voice was uncharacteristic of him. “But she wanted to tie up some loose ends, and she searched far and wide for grandfather. She assured us that she would come back unharmed. Then Raiden came, emotionless as every, and… you know the rest. We wanted to hide it from you because we knew you would go crazy and burn realms to look for her.”
“Why? Why would you hide it? Qiu was doing so well. She quit smoking for God’s sake! She devoted her time to raising you all, but she couldn’t tell her best friend - her sister! - that she was going alone to find her father!”
“We wanted to tell you, but that went against her wishes and ours.”
