A continuation of the Axi ask for @arcaneglitch (and anyone who maybe possibly is interested in my made up stories)
So let's talking about Destiny 2 Axilaes =)
For the basics, he's a warlock, broodweaver specifically, he was revived in the dark ages (OLD), and he's human (albeit with cybernetics in him)
I feel like there's a lot to talk about so I'll break it down via different segments
His Timeline & History
Axi was revived in an old Braytech facility in the Dark Ages before there was any sense of a collective humanity during the time where warlords controlled land used their Light for power. He noticed he was capable of some of the same things they were, rifts, floating, and being essentially immortal as long as his Ghost was alive. But unlike the other risen he noticed his light didn't seem to manifest as any particular element, all he was really good at was making rifts, and any time he tried creating any of the other elements he saw it ended in failure. He stayed like this for a while.
Along the way he got a travelling companion, who was another risen with the same kinds of powers as him but was able to manifest a fire element power. They wandered together and exchanged their healing powers for food in the settlements they visited, but eventually they had a falling out and Axi went out on his own. He met the Drifter a few times.
He made a habit out of stalking warlords and scavenging the carnage after battles for supplies, so in legend he became kind of a ghostly figure who haunted the scenes after wars broke out. He unintentionally befriended a dog, ended up with a pack, and used his pack to help him scavenge and vulture off others. Sometimes he'd even purposefully create hostility between two opposing powers just so he could steal and pillage unnoticed. He also started to see little green wisps appear when it seemed like something important was about to happen.
When the world started shifting into a place that had more order and discipline he kept his routine by joining up with a rogue crew of Eliksni pirates. When they eventually all died, he retreated back to earth alone and decided to live isolated in silence for a while.
On his travels with the Eliksni on other planets he'd taken an interest in the foliage and flora that existed in the Sol System and especially with paracausal plants, taking note of certain kinds that would be imbued with Light or Darkness. He studied them and learned to extract and use their powers. Some risen, and guardians at this point with an interest in his work would ask him for the consumables he made, which he offered at a price. Over time he started becoming a name associated with Dredgens since they would use his concoctions to commune with Darkness or overexert their Light. At this point he'd also began understanding the green wisps and learning to control them
Drifter asked him to join in on Gambit when it started, and he refused at first. Eventually he lost a bet and was forced to play a game, and he realized he loved it. He remained a consistent player and made a slight name for himself amongst frequent Gambit players.
When strand was revealed to the cast of the game he had finally stopped hiding the fact that he'd already learned about it and managed a basic level of control over it up to that point.
Cyberware
When Axi was revived he was already equipped with a strange type of cyberware replacing his arms, lungs, heart, eyes, and parts of his spine. Despite having cybernetic eyes his vision is QUITE BAD, which was odd, until he managed to find some information at Braytech about an "experimental aquatic proto-exo" meant to be exos designed to fully inhabit water. Sure enough, underwater he's able to breathe (though not without a little discomfort) and see perfectly.
He doesn't know why he's not a finished prototype and was left primarily organic, but it doesn't bother him either way.
Personality & Relationships
At his core Axi is the type of person who just wants to live a peaceful life. He has hobbies and interests, but he's not ambitious with his work. Unfortunately (as he sees it) he's had a bad track record of getting really attached to people. Some kids back in the Dark Ages, his old dog pack, his former Eliksni crew, Lucius (who belongs to @light-thedar-k), and Elijah (who belongs to @thetruenightzedge)
Axi doesn't have much empathy for humanity in general and only wants to keep himself and those in his circle cared for, so he's very willing to jeopardize others for the sake of his own needs and feels no guilt about it. He's emotionally stunted and has a harsh personality, he scolds a lot, he's bossy and strict. With strangers he's often cocky and always unintentionally (and maybe sometimes intentionally) carrying an air of "I'm better than you" with the way he holds himself and smiles condescendingly. When he feels like he's lost control of a situation he's quick to anger and over-dramatic frustration (and frankly just going fuckin feral). He loves games and gambling and bets, and he's a real sore loser lol. When people hurt the ones he cares about he tends to go overboard with the revenge.
Lucius he met in the Reef when he lived as a pirate, and her death was one of the first to affect him as much as it did, he saw her as a sister. Elijah he fought against a few times in Gambit, and they developed a very intense horny enemies to rivals to lovers dynamic.
Extra Trivia
He's gay and transgender, and transitioned before he was revived
His Ghost is named Anem
Since the dark ages he's always been able to have visions or gut feelings about the future, so in some degree he's like a psychic but he has low control over his ability unless he meditates consistently. He often has visions of the future while he's sleeping that feel very real, and also has dreams of parts of his life in the past, so oftentimes when he wakes up he has a hard time knowing whether he's in the present past or future, and gets really disoriented. He hates sleeping.
He doesn't like to cook
He adopted two golden age sentient AIs he found and named Ćiknawi and Hari and input into his jumpship and sparrow/skimmer respectively
He's really lazy
and you can have a little half assed drawing I did of him

care to introduce me to your ocs? 👉👈
Well it should be pretty easy! I only have one, his name is Axilaes (Axi for short, pronounced 'ahi')
This will be pretty long I think
I present Him™
I have a weird mental thing where it makes me uncomfortable to have multiple OCs cuz then I struggle on picking favorites and not knowing who to focus on, so I only use one! Axi is my OC for every AU and game I enjoy putting him into
In general, his theme can be described as sort of a gay cunty vaguely evil mage/healer character with ties to plants and cosmic stuff. So in Destiny he's a warlock, in D&D he's a druid, and in FFXIV he's an astrologian/white mage. I also use him in other AUs that are less classifiable like Bloodborne where he's an arcane user.
I do have little mini OCs that act as a supporting cast for him, each one is based off an element. So I have Anem (wind), Ćiknawi (earth), Hari (fire) and Ikuyu (water) //those aren't what the names mean btw// which act in game as things like pets, familiars, mounts, and in D2 act as his ghost and AIs that have been put into his jumpship and sparrow. He also has a pack of 5 dogs (Inana, Tanesi, Yawal, Bato, and Ketket) that help him do work.
His base AU I would say is D&D and I use that as a base reference for when I put him in all other AUs. In D&D he's a druid (sometimes also a bard multiclass) that guards a cenote which is one entrance to the underworld. He was created to protect the celestial winged serpents that inhabit the cenote and cleanse any malicious spirits passing through (or eradicate any that can't be cleansed and intend to cause harm to the area like the water). So he's kinda like a spiritual ghost hunter who keeps people out of the cenote.
On full moons the serpents (or dragons) leave the cenote to do ritual magic under the moonlight, so he escorts them safely to the surface and while he's up there he likes to drink and gamble, and nearby villages have spread myths about him inhabiting the wilderness on full moons. Some can approach him and pay him to offer them blessings or curses. So in a way he himself is also like a spirit or folk cryptid.
He is also trans :3
If you have any specific questions about him in specific AUs like Destiny 2 or Bloodborne I love rambling about the guy constantly in my head. I have his D2 and Bloodborne AUs the most fleshed out since they're my favorite games, anything else I can't guarantee an answer to (since I don't know the lore as well)
Ty for asking =D

I only have one Guardian, he's a warlock named Axilaes (Axi for short)
He has a couple hideouts but his main one is a modern stilt house built inside a cenote in an unknown location on earth. The only way to get into the stilthouse is through a portal in his ship, and inside his base there's another portal that leads to a small underwater medbay/research lab under the cenote's water.
His base and medbay are both filled with various terrariums, aquariums, and tanks filled with flora from across the solar system. He hangs lots of tapestries that he weaves himself and typically keeps it pretty organized and neat with the occasional outfit strewn on the bed. You can see his workaholic nature in the stuff he prioritizes: his work desk in which his computer is always running, the research plants well taken care of, and a meditation circle. His bed goes unused a lot of the time.
He does also have a pretty expansive walk in wardrobe, because he's a little bit of a diva :P
What is your Guardian's Living Space like?
Guardians live incredibly busy lives, but everyone needs a place they can come home to, a place they can chill and relax and find their center away from the turbulent world.
What's yours like?

🌹🎈❗for Destiny Axi
Red Emoji OC Asks - Destiny Axi
🌹(Rose) - What does your OC find attractive in other people? Are these traits found in their friends and/or romantic partners? Are they found in themselves?
Using attraction in a platonic sense, he's drawn to people who tend to be a little sillier and more carefree than he is, because it balances him out. He wouldn't ever admit it, but he finds joy in being around people who act really goofy, and take the time to try and be humorous even in more dire circumstances.
He tends to be more attracted romantically to people he doesn't worry about very much, since being worried about someone usually puts a damper on his relationship with them, and ends up being heavy on everyone involved for a variety of reasons (he's got issues)
🎈(Balloon) - What does your character do at parties? Are they a wallflower or a party animal? Do they go with friends or alone?
I don't know if he'd ever really want to go to a party in D2 universe specifically. I don't think many of the people he knows well are party people either, so I don't think they'd all go together. If he happens to get stranded at one, he'd leave as soon as he could. Maybe he'd go to nab some data or steal from someone tho.
❗(Exclamation Point) - What was the scariest moment of your character's life? Does it still affect them?
Considering this is Destiny and traumatic life threatening events sorta come with the territory it's really hard to narrow it down to just one instance. But a few might be the time Eli was having his fued with Ha'Taru, finding Luce after she'd been risen as a Lightbearer, and the events of the Final Shape (leading to him becoming a Disciple of the Witness)
-
Thanks for the ask!

Mundan Guardian Asks: 5
Mundane Guardian Asks:
5. If they had to lose 1 of their 5 senses, which one would it be? If they've already lost one or more senses, how do they navigate that?
He hasn't lost any sense in a full sense (he has bad eyesight and needs glasses but that isn't fully losing it) but if he had to he'd prefer to lose his sense of taste. He already isn't that big on eating, and finds meal times to more often be a chore than not, so not being able to taste wouldn't be a big detriment to it.
That isn't to say he doesn't like food that genuinely tastes good, but it gives him more survival options if he's not grossed out by a taste and can eat something quickly without thinking about it. Then he can focus on his work (more than he already does lol).
Thanks for the ask!

20 and 21
I didn't get a specific AU for this one so I'm gonna go with Destiny 2 AU since I think that's what people on this blog seek out more
20. Are they codependent? Do they have abandonment issues?
He has a sort of abandonment issues I guess where he tends to lose people he gets close to and that makes him hesitant to grow attached to people but he's not clingy cuz of it, the opposite actually. And he's also the opposite of codependent where he's overly independent and self reliant to the point where he puts a lot of stress on himself. It takes a while for him to get comfortable asking for help
21. What's their relationship to sex? Modesty?
He's gotten used to weaponizing his sexuality, so being in sexual scenarios and environments isn't uncomfortable for him in the slightest. Most of the time it's about as mundane for him as anything else, so he doesn't seek out hook ups or relationships. But there are exceptions and circumstances<3

How well can Axilaes cook? Does he enjoy cooking for other people?
He's not a great cook, the stuff he makes is edible but not necessarily always tasty, and he doesn't enjoy cooking but does so out of necessity. The only type of thing he makes with skillful expertise is tea, but as far as food goes he'd rather eat rations than have to make food.
The only time he's enjoyed making food for others was back in the dark ages when he was taking care of some kids, but because of how that ended it's become a sore spot for him..

2, 4, and 6 for mundane Guardian asks
Mundane Guardian Asks:
2. What outside media is canon to their world? (e.g. Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, etc.) Do they read/watch/engage with it?
I don't think Axi engages with pre-Golden age media a lot because he doesn't really see a point in that stuff but he probably has read some old classic novels like Alice in Wonderland and enjoys that.
4. If they could swap their class ability (dodge, rift, barricade) for a 'traditional' superpower (e.g. teleport, regeneration, psychic/energy shield), what would it be?
He likes all his default abilities but if he was able to swap one of them he would probably liked the idea of being able to control water.
6. Do they know about their past life? If so, what is the most interesting fact from it? If not, what is their wildest theory about who they were?
He doesn't exactly know who he was in his past life, but he's been able to find evidence about why his body is modified the way that it is. He dug up a file and found information in one of the Braytech facilities that he might have been an aquatic proto-exo that was designed to have his organic body slowly modified into a mechanical one in parts over time (possibly to try and reduce dysmorphia). Clearly the work wasn't finished and now he's only part mechanical and part plain human. He doesn't know how he got involved with Braytech at all.
Thanks for the ask!

2, 5, 13, and 18 for D2 Axilaes
2. How much death and/or destruction have they wrought?
A LOT but usually indirectly, with the main exception being throughout the events of Forsaken.
Back in the Dark Ages he would often purposefully create conflict and miscommunication behind the scenes to start battles between different warlords, so that he could scavenge the destruction in the aftermath.
By forsaken he had developed a close relationship to the Eliksni and Eliksni culture, and had experiences caring for Servitors specifically. When the Hanged Man started defiling Servitors during forsaken he took it upon himself to personally kill masses of Scorn in revenge.
5. What's their moral compass like?
I'd say, chaotic? I don't know if I'd fully call him evil but he's not not evil at the same time. He only cares about himself and his close circle (and even then he struggles to show affection to the people he cares about to keep them safe). He doesn't show much loyalty to any particular faction and will lend his aid and information to whoever is willing to give him what he wants, so most people find him untrustworthy and a player of both sides.
13. What's their relationship to their body? Self esteem? Self image?
He doesn't have any particular issues with his body. Despite being a proto-exo he has a very good relationship with his cybernetic body parts and actually derives a lot of euphoria from them. The biggest issue he's ever had with himself was feeling like he wasn't human enough to be human and wasn't exo enough to be exo, but he only felt like that early on and has grown to love himself for what he is. He's honestly a little conceited.
18. If they could go back in time for 5/10/15 minutes and change something, what would it be?
He probably would have tried to do everything he could to prevent his best friends death, but even if he'd had the power to go back in time I don't think it would have worked since she was fated to die. (Luce belongs to @light-thedar-k ^^)
Thank you for these! They were really fun to answer!
