I live! Seems... Oh.. Hello everyone!

Been a while... Here and anywhere else. There were a lot of reasons that didn't let me release anything earlier... Blah-blah-blah... Typical of me, but I can't help it.

Today I want to present my next Remix. Remixes are everything, yeah.

Lanterns. My second Remix of the soundtrack from D'LIRIUM. In fact, I myself am surprised at such a coincidence that both the latest remixes are on the same game, but... It's just a coincidence. (And I like the game's soundtracks)

This Remix was supposed to come out much earlier and was preparing for Halloween, but as always it turns out, everything is not as planned. As a result, the Remix came out almost a month from the scheduled time of release.

I'm walking into the shadows. I don't know what's going to happen next, but there's definitely going to be something.

Pony Media: Melowy Vol.2: The Fashion Club of Colors Review

A new edition of Pony Media is up as I review the second volume of the Melowy comic series. Even though MLP's Gen 4 is coming to a close this year (which saddens me), that doesn't mean we won't find anything pony related. Fortunately, I was able to find a couple between D'Lirium (the only mature pony title) and Melowy that follows the standards of Gen 4. The first Volume kicked off this series on a high note as Courtney Prowell must have taken inspiration from FIM's Season 1 Premiere. Even though both stories got written in a different manner from each other, however, they share the same quality beginning. It's great to see other pony theme franchises that are actually good outside MLP, something that was always an issue years ago. We honestly need to thank Lauren Faust for setting a high quality standard to write a pony series. For this second volume, there is a fashion event going on as Flora; a fashionista is holding tryouts for her club. Electra gets interested but believes she is not good enough to enter the contest. However, after being encouraged from her friends both Selena and Electra go together. Eris, who is a part of the fashion club plans to sabotage their efforts after finding a dark magic paint brush left inside her lounge by Circe (the Ruler's agent) secretly. The dark artifact is capable of stripping color from anyone and within Aura. Electra and Selena set out to the fashion tryouts unaware of Eris' plan to cause problems for them. The story direction of this series ever since the first comic's cliff hanger has continued keeping my interests. So basically, found on the very low of Steam this game called “D'lirium“, and it got me pretty interested besides being about ponies, which most of the time is associated with “cringe”. At least is enjoyable for what you pay, and it has some replay value since it has some secrets, “easter eggs”, two different endings, and lot of achievements to make.

D'lirium is a 2D horror shooter, by the way. I suck at reviewing.

STORY

Set in another parallel universe of Pony-esque characters, on New Year Eve; Ada (Main character) and her friends found themselves on a giant christmas tree (not explained why), and two of her friends asks the idea of robbing a mansion nearby.

Going there, they´re greeted by a Pony doing the Bird Box Challenge (cant remember the name and I cant investigate since these school computers are blocked).

It has lots of plot holes, but keeping in mind this is more of a “Prelude” and isnt finished yet. Dont wanna make spoilers so I´ll finish here.

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is SO MESSED UP. It doesnt have any tutorial and to understand most of the mechanics, you need to read the Manual you found pressing “F1″. In their defense, once you got the hang of it, you start to enjoy the game at least.

Here you dont have likely a “Health Bar”, you have two different kind of bars:

     - Panic bar: This one consist on how scared and vulnerable is Ada. It raises if the enemies attack you or scare her. Once the bar is full, any attack or “scream” will make her faint and go to the “Personal Hell” (or Game Over if you faint a third time), something that we´ll talk about later on. This bar can raise by staying doing nothing where there no enemies, eating poisonous plants, or (in case you go SICKO MODE) killing enemies.

     - Phys damage bar: this one is not important as Panic Bar, since it only function is only to keep the player out of abusing the use of poisonous plants, which make your Panic bar decrease, but increases this bar. If you have the phys damage bar full and eat other plant, you die without going to Personal Hell.

Personal Hell

Like mentioned before, if Ada faints, you´ll go to her personal hell, where you´ll need to find her heart without getting caught by “the darkness” within, or else, Game Over.

Once you reach her heart, you will come back to where you fainted (if you fainted close to lots of enemies, either you´re screwed, or you can use teleport).

This function has a 3 times limit. So if Ada faints a third time, Game Over for you.

SICKO MODE

If Ada kills a certain amount of enemies, she will become a psychopath and you´re most likely to get the “Evil ending”.

You can easily notice when Ada turns into a psychopath, since once it happens, the screen corners will appear some black/grey lines.

Another difference is her Panic Bar. Now if you don´t kill enemies in a long time, this bar will increase, and it can get decreased by eating poisonous plants or killing enemies.

Cursed Ada

Hello everyone! Here I am!

There hasn't been any news lately. Nothing interesting happened. I've been working on tracks and nothing more..

But today I finally have something to share! New track! A Remix, to be more precise..

In April I wrote about my plans for the future. One of my plans was to write a Remix for D'LIRIUM's game. Then the Remix was not even close to ready. But, for the last time he extremely has changed. His writing took a really long time. But he finally saw the light.

In my personal opinion - this is my best song at the moment. Both in terms of the visual component and in terms of the sound of the track. I was really pleased to work on it.

Again, I can't say when to expect the next release. But something tells me he won't be around very soon.. Although.. Who knows..
