tbh I don't get what the deal was w/ the younger D'Arby bro. tween me would've mopped the floor w/ him. All she'd need to do is bring her DS and copies of Pokemon Diamond and Platinum and show him the collection of Poke Radar Shinies. the sheer power emanating from it would melt his face like the Ark of the Covenant
but fr though idk WHAT tween me was on back then but she was unhinged for this. caught SO MANY Shinies w/ the Poke Radar. absolutely lost in the sauce
Yes, mwahaha, YES!! 😈
His reactions:
All hail the shiny catching queen!! ✨

Do you have an headcanons for Telence D'arby/D'arby younger? They don't even have to be Agere tbh I just really like when people acknowledge his existence
We adore Terence in this house✊️
I think he'd be a middle, age range 9-13! Of course he'd love video games, mostly sport ones! If he's on the younger end, he really likes Animal Crossing - it's a secret though!
His brother is his reluctant babysitter - they just bicker all the time when Terry's small lol
And Dio and Vanilla are like his annoying baby brothers who unplug his console right as he's about to win (Vanilla) or straight up bite through the cables (Dio)😌

This drawing was inspired by these incorrect quotes I did: https://www.tumblr.com/tomboyjessie13/750440873927540736/sequel-to-this-now-let-the-fun-begin-bar?source=share
The story here is that Medea was giving a day off to see her favorite baseball team; the San Francisco Giants, play professionally in Egypt for the first time, and is taking the Oingo Boingo bros. with her.
Unfortunately the game got cancelled on the day it was supposed to start due to pressures of the Cold War(it's the late 1980s), this caused Medea throw a bit of a hissy fit until Vanilla Ice kicked her out, telling her to do something else with her day off.
Medea tried to find something to do in Cairo, only to find that most places close on Fridays(it's a holy day), leaving her with literally nothing to do in the city except visiting historical monuments.
When she went to the Pyramids, she finds that a Giza cafe is still opened and uses it as an excuse to binge drink, while getting plastered, Medea sees a couple of customers playing poker and decides to join in, believing she had nothing to lose since her exile, only to end up winning a few rounds before returning home with lots of cash, a smile, and a filled void.
She returns to the cafe the next day to play more poker, having to skip work for it, Medea finally got the hang of gambling and the rush of winning, it was all going well until she caught the attention of a certain gambler who owns the bar.
Intrigued by her, he invited her to play a few rounds with him, she was skeptical as to why he looked familiar, but decides to play with him, under the condition that she bet her soul for his money, surprisingly she lost and ends up giving up her money, but was met with refusal.
The man reminds her that she had bet her soul, and now she will pay the price for it with his Stand. In horror, Medea realizes too late that the man in question is T. D'Arby's older brother while his Stand, [Osiris], takes her soul and puts it into his coin collection.
While this was happening, T. D'Arby followed Medea to the cafe after hearing about the money she earned and had the sneaking suspicion about where she got it, that suspicion was confirmed when he sees her empty husk at the table and proceeds to kick his brother's butt until he gave up her soul.
Afterwards, she thanked the younger brother for saving her life, asking why he'd bother doing it, he simply replied: "I don't wanna do your chores."

Eris' downtown apartment - Cairo, Egypt Late June, 1988
Medea had been feeling troubled ever since she had her first affair with DIO, even to the point of having dreams about that night. She was adamant that none of DIO's agents would find out about this but needs to get it out of her chest.
So, she decided to talk to the female agents who had been with DIO about this, the first person she went to was Eris, one of DIO's favorite Stand users and lovers, who lives at downtown in an apartment.
Medea: *Walks up to Eris' apartment door* .... *Rings doorbell*
Eris: *Opens the door, wearing a black corset and leather jeans*
Medea: Heya, Eris.
Eris: Medea.
Medea: *Awkward*.... Uh.... Yeah, Eris, I had a dream last night. You got a minute?
Eris: .... Come in. I'll brew some herbal tea. *Steps aside, allowing Medea entry before closing the door*
15 minutes later
The two women are sitting in the living room, having some tea and chatting about Medea's dreams.
Medea: -*Sighs* and the guy in my dream, the one without the clothing was not my ex-boyfriend. And, needless to say, that is not a dream I intended to have.
Eris: During Ancient times, the Egyptians believed that dreams were messages from the gods. I don't worship them, but maybe they're trying to send a message to you. Is there anything unusual going on with you?
Medea: *Sweating* N-nope. Everything's the same as it's always been for as long as I can remember. Yep. Same old, same old.
Eris: Hm. *Quietly drinks her tea*
Medea: *Smells her tea*....
Eris: Is it possible that after months of being away from Jason, you're starting to cling onto the male agents because you miss him?
Medea: What? That's crazy. I want nothing to do with Jason after what he did! I'm perfectly happy without him in my life! Yep. I'm a proud independent woman.
Eris: *Raising eyebrow in skepticism* ???
Medea: If I were missing Jason, I'd be having dreams in which I was clinging onto Jason, not being manhandled in the nude by one of the guys at the mansion.
Eris: *Snickering* I knew you and D'Arby Younger were a good match.
Medea: Uh.... No?
Eris: .... *Slow realization* It's DIO? *Becomes furious and stands in front of Medea* My DIO? You're having filthy dreams about MY Master DIO?
Medea: *Nervous*.... *Smiling weakly* Say, is that a new leather corset? OvO''''
Eris: DIO used to like it when I kept the corset on during sex.... Do you want it?
Medea: *Becomes scared* Oh, God. *Gets off the couch and runs to the door*
Eris: *Undoes her corset, revealing a crop top* Here, take it. *Tosses at Medea* Take it all!
Medea: Ahh! *Slams the door shut before running away*
Eris: *Knowing that her Master DIO visiting Medea's dreams instead of hers broke her heart, causing her to sob uncontrollably on the couch* Why Master, why do you have to be in her dreams and not miiiiiiiiine!!!! TToTT
- Medea King tries(and fails) to confine to Eris Raitt about her newfound affair with DIO, inspired by King of the Hill:

Do you have any headcanons about how Hierophant got his name? Green is a bit self-explanatory, but what about Hierophant? It's a bit of a strange name to pick for a Japanese kid/teenager.
I'M SOOO GLAD YOU ASKED ME THIS CAUSE I HAVE A VERY SPECIFIC HEADCANON ABOUT THIS IN PARTICULAR
to put it short, i think enyaba named hierophant (she didn't add the green though, that was kakyoin)
to put it long: i think growing up kakyoin only really referred to hierophant as "my friend"/didn't really have a name for him cause i don't think kakyoin really talked about hierophant once he was like 5 or 6 and realized no one can see him
but then dio happens and he gets fleshbudded. i think, since he goes back to the mansion enough times that d'arby the younger knows kakyoin, that kakyoin must have also interacted with enyaba too while there. since enyaba also has ties to tarot, having named her own stand justice, j geil's hanged man, and dio's the world, i think it was a simple matter of her just placing the hierophant onto kakyoin. i don't think kakyoin got to choose a card like jotaro did with avdol, i think enyaba chose for him. based on the fact enyaba doesn't give herself or her son or even dio a specific adjective though, i don't think she gave kakyoin one either. which means, while kakyoin didn't get to directly choose hierophant, he DID get to directly choose green. hehe.

Jotaro!!! Who, of all your enemies (other than DIO and Kira) do you remember most?
Probably the D'arby brothers.
Their abilities to steal the souls from people was intimidating at first.
Especially since the younger one had a creepy doll collection.
N'doul was certainly a threat
If Iggy had been unable to use the fool for flight, he would have certainly killed us all from a distance, as he had the range and precision to do so.
Especially since he almost blinded Kakyoin.
It's crazy to think that trip was only 50 days.. it feels like it was a lot longer.
But also too short at the same time.
-Jotaro

Jjba Stardust Crusaders Ep. 40-44 Thoughts
I've waited a bit to write this. Mostly because I was tired, but also because I wanted to think about it more.
D'Arby Part (Ep. 40-43)
This episode is considerably lighter in tone compared to the Vanilla Ice episodes, cuz we gotta torture Polnareff as much as possible.
I like the paralells between the D'Arby's. Older one is unmatched in cheating, Joseph tries to cheat and gets his soul taken to show there is no way we are winning that way. Jotaro wins by bluffing instead. Younger one is unmatched in skill, Kakyoin tries to win against him fair and square and gets his soul taken away. Jotaro wins cheating instead.
This episode does a lot to build Kakyoin's character. Interesting that the way DIO tempts him is by saying "Let's be friends." I am guessing Kakyoin had a lonely childhood. Maybe he spent all that time palying games. It's not like I was a friendless kid who spent all her time playing Tetris, Pokemon and MOBAs.
I didn't saw this scene in the manga though. It's probably an anime only thing. I like it as an addition, though, I doubt some really shady man saying let's be friends would calm anyone's nerves down. It doesn't make much sense to me.
Also the Kakyoin doll is horrifying.
Joseph saying "No more Mr Nice Guy" got me. Couldn't think of a more white phrase if I tried.
Why,, why do the baseball players have an entire bakery down there.
Jotaro part dragged on a little bit for me personally. It was funny though. Like how Joseph gets angry at Jotaro for playing like shit and Jotaro is saying 'Shouldn't you be cheering for me?'. Later Jotaro is hiding behind his hat. And even later there are the soul reading scenes.
It's so funny seeing D'Arby lose his shit over Jotaro cheating like a TRUE GAMER. I can't believe DIO has a GAMER guard his hideout. D'Arby in general is pretty funny like why does he look like that. Why is his stand like that. What a fucking loser.
Episodes are good but not outstanding.
Vanilla Ice (Ep. 43-45)
The last few episodes were funny, this one is just horrifying.
I will maybe come back to this on a latee post. I wanna think more about these episodes.
Firstly, I actually know Vanilla Ice's namesake. Naming your character after one person instead of a badn or a song name is... bold.
Funny that Dio only remembers Kakyoin at first. He might be pretending to not know the Crusaders that well just to show his superiority or whatever. Motherfucker is reading while Polnareff and Iggy are out there fighting for their lives. I hope Dio dies a million deaths and gets run over.
I kind of hate Advol's death. He doesn't get a send off at all. It just sorta happens before the fight. We don't get to hear his thoughts, we don't get a chance to grieve. It feels weird to me that Iggy's death resonated with me way more, I like Advol so much more too. I get the feeling that he was killed just for the sake of it. His character arc doesn't really need this. I dunno. It felt like a waste. I was angry when he died, not really sad.
I think this part if the opening is suppose to reference this scene. I wonder if this is true for the other shots.
The fight scenes are pretty good. One thing I don't get is how getting some of his foot eaten completely incapacitates him. That would make sense irl but like. He has literary been through worse. This show doesn't really handle injuries all that well.
Silver chariot was animated beautifully.
I actually felt sad over Iggy's death. Since stands represent souls, the fool manifested on its own to save Polnareff. Despite Iggy knowing he would die if he did that.
You'd think Polnareff's arc of being saved would lead him to save someone else instead. But the show almost makes fun of you for thinking that. I kind of like that, actually.
I thought Suzie meeting Holly was a nice scene but it dragged for too long.
The end part really confused me. The tonal whiplash from Iggy dying to this just doesn't sit right me. There are other comedic bits too and none of them land for me. I think they are theree to lighten the mood but like. People are dying, y'know. I wouldn't mind this as much if the jokes were funny but I couldn't really find them funny.
Yeah, that's it. I couldn't think of what I wanted to write, but I though it would be better to write this before watching the finale. I should let them marinate in my head a bit more.
Now, we are at the beginning of the end. With only 4 episodes left. I will watch them after posting this and report to you later. It's currently 5.30

"Those damn incident resolvers. I still remember when they barged their way through my mansion for absolutely no reason."
[Insert a dramatic flashback only it's just Stardust Crusaders with the 2hu girls here]
"Stop trying to change history, we didn't even know all those people yet."
"And I refuse to be D'arby the Younger in your flashback."

I really enjoyed how Parts 1 & 2 managed to tell their own, more concise stories that lead into each other. While Part 3 is the conclusion to that, the much longer Villain-Of-The-Week-type plot is a little jarring in comparison, and the connection with later parts does feel increasingly tenuous. Still, there's no bad parts in the series and it's cool to see so many unique ideas as it goes on. Also, Part 2 still has the best theme IMO
Yeah, storytelling is Araki's forte, that is for sure. I havent read parts 7, 8 or 9 because I dont think they're out in my city, but from what I have watched so far, the stories are so good.
Sure, part 3 did get a bit... annoying at some parts? (Mostly the younger D'Arby because I hate that man so much JSJISKJD) but its still good. Part 4 is straight up my favourite
(Also lets be honest that his favourite is Rohan and not Josuke because the green mf got his own side story animated and then got a live action version KJWKJDEKJED)
