This is just my hcs on how much Lucina and Cynthia resemble their parents

I'm torn between Cynthia and Inigo as Lucina's ideal sibling

For Cynthia, showing the girl who dreams of being a famous hero break down in tears at the idea of needing to replace Lucina as Falchion's wielder is uniquely emotional, but it also ruins her recruitment chapter since she'll be mistaking that jerk for her own father

For Inigo, he gets a brand in his right eye, opposite of Lucina. His birthday would be a reference to Marth's games like the other Ylissean royals. And his banter with Owain is funnier as cousins. But I'm not a fan of Chrom and Olivia's instant marriage despite their support being good by themselves

part of the reason chrom!cynthia makes me so insane is because both her and owain being related to lucina throws their obsessions with heroism into a slightly different light. it’s not too hard to imagine that in addition to their own personal reasons, it might have been born out of a desire to live up to lucina’s example, a desire to take on some of the mantle themselves to ease her burden, or even a tiny bit of jealousy that she gets to be the big hero with the important destiny and the sacred sword, instead of them; or a combination of all three. (it’s probably true of owain regardless, he’s her cousin no matter what, but if it’s both of them it adds an extra kick to it.)

but when cynthia is confronted with the fact that being the big hero herself would mean lucina would have to die, she rejects it. it could never mean more to her than her sister, or the love of her family that drives her to fight so hard in the first place.
