LoL AU - Cygnexiphos

The Cygnexiphos is a hextech weapon that switches forms. It was designed by my OC, Ciela LeWita, & created by Councilor Jayce Talis. The weapon itself is one she designed specifically for her fighting style. Her personal Cygnexiphos is named Siegfried.

Its default form is its Foil Form. However, it can change into 3 other weapons & 1 tool.

The weapon can be changed by using the pommel. Pressing like a button extends, while twisting clockwise like a knob engages Bladed Mode. Pressing it again while extended, retracts & twisting counterclockwise while Bladed Mode is engaged, disengages Bladed Mode.

By pressing the pommel, the Foil extends into a long, non-lethal, metal whip. Pressing it again retracts it back into a Foil. By, instead, twisting the pommel clockwise in Foil Form, blades are engaged, turning it into a Rapier. Twisting it counterclockwise while a Rapier will return it to a Foil as well.

Twisting the pommel clockwise in Whip Form or pressing the pommel in Rapier Form, will turn it into Razorchain Form. Much like above, twisting the pommel counterclockwise or pressing the pommel again in Razorchain Form will return it to Whip & Rapier Forms respectively.

On the other hand, if you only half-twist the pommel clockwise in Whip Form, it will engage the grapple head, which can be used to maneuver obstacles or climb. (Think Indiana Jones.)

Pressing the pommel twice within a second of each other, it'll return to Foil Mode no matter what form it's in.

The Foil is for piercing or hitting. The Rapier is for slashing. The Whip is for rendering her opponents unconscious without killing them or entangling them. And the Razorchain swordwhip is for when she just wants someone to die.

Doesn't use the Razorchain Mode often because she only kills when it's absolutely necessary.

Before the invention of Hextech, she wielded a whip for her 1st hand & a rapier for her 2nd. Now, she only needs Siegfried.

Is currently the only one authorized to use one as one must be a black belt in her personal style to use one safely.

This weapon is best used in conjunction with a fighting style created by Ciela LeWita herself.

It's a blend of fencing, acro ballet, & ribbon gymnastics. (Imagine a blend of Ballet Kenpo, Ribbon Gymkata, & Fencing. Acro ballet being a sort of fusion of ballet & gymnastics.)

She invented the style, calling it "Chemin du Cygne." Or "Way of the Swan."

The Chemin du Cygne has 3 different styles to choose from. The "Bec de Cygne" or the Swan's Beak style of swordfighting which is more direct, using more strikes, leaps, & lunges, then spinning out of the way to evade, using the Foil & Rapier Forms. And the "Ailes de Cygne'' or the Swan's Wings style of whipfighting, which is more circular & evasive, using more spins, using the Whip & Razorchain Forms.

The 3rd style is "Pattes de Cygne" or the Swan's Legs style of hand-to-hand combat, which is really just Ballet Kenpo from Ranma ½.

It's a powerful, yet elegant style that uses spinning evasion & further uses spins to build momentum before delivering powerful kicks that debilitates opponents. This is for the rare occasions when disarmed.

Like the God of Karate in Ranma ½ once said, "Never fight a ballet dancer. They possess body control down to the tips of their toes & they have the best resilience & flexibility out of all sports. If a ballet dancer learned how to kick. Their power would exceed that of a first-class martial artist."

Dances around her enemies elegantly, using either her weapon or her feet & is brutally effective.

Extremely effective at crowd control.

Could kill a man with a well-aimed spin kick if she didn't hold back.

Ciela knows a lot about biophysics, biomechanics, & motion. If you've ever seen the Disney movie Ice Princess, like that.

Used this knowledge to make Chemin du Cygne as deadly & effective as it is.

It's similar to how Tae Kwon Do was originally founded by Choi Hong Hi who studied/analyzed biomechanics, Newtonian physics & Chinese martial arts. So, its roots are based & founded on science & math.

Tae Kwon Do requires that one utilizes their speed & agility. The style, as a whole, puts more emphasis on various kicks rather than hand strikes all with a narrow stance that some might call unstable.

(This is actually for real, too!)

Choi observed that a hit’s strength is multiplied by its own force (i.e.: power is squared) with the movement of the hit. However, in regards to the individual performing the attack, one would only multiply strength by the individual’s mass.

The equation went (P=W/t=mgh/t+(1⁄2 m²)/t). In it, P = power, mgh = potential energy, ½m² = kinetic energy, & t = time.

Before even starting on the Equation for Power, he’d 1st had to solve for both potential energy & kinetic energy through 2 separated equations.

For potential energy, it’d been as simple as (PE = mgh) where PE = Potential Energy, specifically measured in Joules, m = mass in kilograms, g = the acceleration of gravity (which, in itself would need to be calculated using 9.8m⁄s² ) & h = the height above the surface in meters.

It’s been referred to as Choi’s “Theory of Power” ever since.

Chemin du Cygne's root principles are similarly based on science & math.

LoL - HexTech Invention Ideas

Musicology:

Susurrecorder = A device that produces different frequencies of sound. It's powered by a HexTech Crystal, so those frequencies are given a gentle magical push. At first it could only heal, but the newer designs have a knob that allows one to switch frequencies. The channels are called Healing Vibes, Brain Beats, & Sleep Tunes. Hospitals are given special ones that always have Healing Vibes on whenever it's on, but if you press a button, it'll play Sleep Tunes at the same time, thus making it useful for patients.

- Healing Vibes = 25 to 150 Hz to mimic a cat's purr, which aids in bone repair & healing. Simulates low-level, gentle sound-based healing magic that gives listeners low-level health regen & boosted immune systems.

- Alpha Waves = 10 Hz. Good healthy alpha production promotes mental resourcefulness, aids in the ability to mentally coordinate.

- Beta Waves = 13-40 Hz & the fastest frequency of brainwaves. They are responsible for focus, concentration & analytical thinking.

-- Alpha Waves & Beta Waves together make the Brain Beats.

- Sleep Tunes = A mix of 2 different sounds. 1 being Binaural beats in the Delta Pattern, which is 0.5–4 Hz & has links to a dreamless sleep. The other being a 432 Hz frequency which is ideal for use as a sleep aid as it is known for its relaxing, calming effects.

Antigrav Device = Produces a magical sound frequency of 20+ Hz & uses Einstein's E=mc² to change soundwaves into a negative energy current then conducting that energy into an object which would then begin to float. A device like this would allow airships to require much less fuel & much less magic. - Acoustic Levitation is a real theory.

Hydrophonic Remediation Device = Pulses a magical current through a sound frequency of 423 Hz to purify water. - A real fucking thing.

Hextech Violin = Basically an electric violin that runs on HexTech. Depending on the frequency you switch it to, it can cause a whole host of things to happen.

- Acoustic Levitation = 20+ Hz.

- Acoustic Hydromanipulation = 23-25 Hz. - A real fucking thing.

- Hydrophonic Remediation = 423 Hz. - Also a real fucking thing.

- Acoustic Phytomanipulation = 5 28 Hz. Evidently, a continuous low hum at 3000 cycles per second accelerates the growth of most plants & can even cause some of them to bloom a six full months ahead of their normal schedule.

- Healing = 25-150 Hz to mimic a cat's purr, which aids in bone repair & healing. Simulates low-level, gentle sound-based healing magic that gives listeners low-level health regen & boosted immune systems.

- Can also do a fuck ton else depending on the frequency emitted, such as release negative emotions or attract luck.

Weapons:

Cygnexiphos = A HexTech weapon that switches forms. Its default form is its Foil Form. However, it can change into 3 other weapons & 1 tool. The weapon can be changed by using the pommel. Pressing like a button extends, while twisting like a knob engages Bladed Mode. By pressing the pommel, the Foil extends into a long, non-lethal, metal whip. By, instead, twisting the pommel in Foil Form, blades are engaged, turning it into a Rapier. Twisting the pommel in Whip Form or pressing the pommel in Rapier Form, will turn it into Razorchain Form. Pressing the pommel twice within a second of each other, it'll return to Foil Mode no matter what form it's in.

HexComet = Another HexTech weapon that's default form is a morning star with a large ball that can disconnect from the handle to become a flail. With certain wrist movements while pressing the button on the handle, it can extend or retract the chain back to its morning star state, which allows it to work like the Ball & Chain from LoZ: Twilight Princess. Hold the button as you flick the flail forward sends the ball flying like a fishing rod, while holding the button as you pull the handle back snaps the ball back into place on the handle. Pressing that same button before the ball impacts allows electricity to flow through the weapon, giving it even greater lethality. It requires an insane amount of strength to use. Incredible at breaking both physical & magical shields.

Electric Executioner = A HexTech weapon that resembles Marceline's electric ax from Adventure Time. Except that the blades are retractable. It can be either a guitar or a bass guitar. Uses a HexTech Crystal to power it, so it sounds just like an electric.

Mage's Counsel = Another HexTech weapon in the form of a bo staff. It has a magic crystal at either one or both ends. Said crystals are used to either create a hard magic weapon head or cast spells or just bash someone's head in. The weapon heads that are possible are almost as varied as the number of weapon heads themselves. However, each crystal only has room for the blueprints for a handful of weapon heads. 5 at most. The crystals must be implanted with specific weapons heads. This allows mages to have an edge in melee. However, because of this, the spells & weapon heads are not as effective as their enchanted sister, the Archmage's Confidant line of weapons. What the Mage's Counsel has is versatility of weapons & higher magical damage from the weapons' heads.

Gentlemen's Assistant = A HexTech cane that can turn into an umbrella & a rapier. The handle of it is decorated with the head of a mallard, the jeweled eyes acting as buttons. The left activates the umbrella & right activates the rapier. Pressing the same button again turns it back into a cane. The runes on the umbrellas membrane allows it to double as both a shield & a parachute. It can also protect the holder from lightning strikes & absorb the energy. - Inspired by Scrooge McDuck's cane.
