Cycle 24 Week 11

And we are down to 5, for the first time, this cycle. I’m honestly not that excited for this week, this season has kind of just flailed out for me. Well, lets hope this week is a bit better, and we get a good video shoot, even though ANTM hasn’t got a great track record with those. I am going with a weird prediction, but I think Jeana is going to be out. As I said on here, I think whoever is out this week is the comeback, and I think it is down to Jeana and Rio, and I just can’t see Rio being Clark’d.

This week is all about personality; oh god, Tyra is over-emphasising how important personality is as usual. Like being nice is important, being the most interesting person ever is not.

Rio is hamming up this weeks theme, and Shanice is back to bitching on them. Seriously, there is just way too much repetition of conflicts here. The editing is so flat.

Oh no...the game...why, just why. This has to be the worst thing in the history of ANTM. So tacky. And now they are basing an entire challenge on it...god why. This is such a bad challenge. Even the presentation doesn’t save it from basically being Sims. Their challenge is playing Sims...let that sink in. Ugh, the prize is awful too. Fitting.

Okay so we basically have a montage of them all talking rubbish, and oh, surprise Khrys photo. We know what that means; first call-out or bottom two. So Rio talks about stuff, the only meaningful she talks about is her battlescar. That is cute, if only she hadn’t proved she was a bitch it would make her a bit more inspirational. Kyla talks about stuff, though her avatar doesn’t really look like her. Same with Shanice, so far Rio is my favourite. Khrys’ avatar is...distinctly not plus-size. So much for inclusivity Tyra...your game needs to change. And last up we have Jeana, who has a bald avatar with an incredibly boring outfit. Her personality sort of matches too...

I think it is down to Rio and Khrys, and the judges agree with me. And Khrys wins. I would have given it to Rio, but I can understand Khrys winning her fifth challenge.

Oh god, Jeana is going off at law. Calling him a sassy bitch. I don’t like him either Jeana, but I didn’t choose to come on a show where he is a judge...so like, just suck it up. And now she is being a bitch to Khrys. It is a official, no one can survive an episode when they insult Khrys. Like that is just character assasination to the highest level.

Rio says she got 3 first call-outs, but like did she really? She got 2. Lets just ignore that one. Rio would not have gotten that. That week was is essentially Khrys’.

Jeana is crying down-stairs, and of course Khrys is supporting her, because Khrys is officially the greatest human being on earth. Poor Jeana, I want to feel bad for her, as getting judged like this must be draining, but she needs to toughen up and remember it is a show. If they insult you, it means purely in the context of a reality show; aka having a normal personality.

Ugh, its not just a video shoot, it is actually a music video. Great. Some completely irrelevant music artist comes on, I mean who calls themselves Maejor? Just spell it correctly.

Rio continues to blab about first call-out, so she is clearly going in the bottom 2 with Jeana. That means Khrys gets first call-out, and Shanice/Kyla who we have hardly seen end up in the middle.

Khrys looks gorgeous on the first set, and the rest kind of look flat. Actually, Kyla looks alright. She apparently throws things well, so good job Kyla. How can people not look bland enough? I have no clue what vibe they are trying to get, Rio looks fine to me...and Jeana, I am so confused.

Okay the second scene is apparently the same thing...but a little bit more shambalic...I guess that makes sense. And Tyra is here. Doing...a little bop. Now they are rocking it out, and we only saw that for a few seconds.

Time for the more interesting part. Kyla looks incredible in that outfit, I wish they weren’t wasting it on a video. Imagine this as a photoshoot...it would be incredible. There are some gorgeous shots of Kyla in that, but I still think she suffers from mono-face most of the time.

Jeana looks incredible to me, so I have no clue what Drew and Director X want. She was rocking the bondage gear she had on. Though now she is giving Khrys the cold-shoulder, so I hate her again.

Rio does kind of flop for me. She looked okay on set, but in the brief moments we saw on camera she looked awkward.

Time for Shanice and Khrys’ scenes. Shanice looks okay, but I still think Jeana looked better. Shanice is constantly pushing her head too far back, and just giving us massive nostrils. Khrys on the otherhand looks absolutely incredible, and her shoe breaks. Jeana is struggling to contain her joy at Khrys is failing...wow, this episode is AWFUL for her. There is no suspense in the slightest here.

Now Jeana is jumping in...and I am confused. Like I feel like she did what she was meant to, otherwise I am sure the director would have told her off. But apparently Shanice and Khrys thinks she just jumped in randomly. I am reluctant to think Jeana is in the right in this situation...but we shall see at panel.

Now we are at panel, and like always I’ll save any comments about that for the rankings. But as expected, the music videos as a whole come out...meh. Khrys looked incredible, she is telegenic as hell here, and I hesitantly say this is my favourite performance of her. Kyla and Jeana did the best of the other two, while Rio and Shanice were definitely the weakest two.

As expected, and deservedly, Khrys gets first call-out, followed by Kyla, also deservedly, and then Shanice. All as expected. And Jeana is out. Nothing at all surprising this episode.

And look at that, next week is the comeback. Just in time to swoop up Jeana, and take her back into the competition. Overall this episode was a tiny bit better than I expected, purely because Khrys actually blew me away with her section, and while I am not excited to see Jeana back in next week, I am excited to see the killer spider shots. I am just hoping that photography isn’t wasted.

Cycle 24 Week 13

Okay time for the penultimate episode, and while it may be a right off in terms of the shows progression, we need to get down to it. Time to begin, even if it is essentially just part 2 of 3 of the final 4 this cycle.

So we open with Kyla strutting down the runway, about the “real final four”. I bet they are regretting being so happy about that at the end of this episode. The division in the house is clear, this is totally Jeana v the Rest, and Jeana is just playing into this. She is going to be savage apparently.

Shanice is sad about being in the bottom 2, and if I didn’t know the outcome I would totally be expecting her to be out this week.

Holy crap, we are actually seeing a phone call. It is so ridiculous that this is the first time in the entire season (aside the recap episode) we have seen someone on the phonecall. It is an incredibly touching moment, and it is stuff like this that still gives me hope Khrys can bring home the win this cycle, and redeem it slightly.

Tyra Mail is here with a massively cryptic clue. I honenstly have no clue what that relates to the challenge, even having seen what the challenge is. Ashley welcomes the girls and it is time to film a Pantene commercial, but they need to decide their own set-up. I never get these types of shoots, as models never have any creative control over their shoots. I can already tell these are going to be awful.

Jeana quickly grabs a wig, and all of them look awful. She picks a blonde one, and to be honest it kind of suits her skin tone. I don’t know why Khrys is that pissed, Jeana had no way of winning there. Shanice has black, Kyla has brown. Unless there was a casual rainbow afro laying around she was never going to win. 

Khrys adorably punches a grandfather clock, and Shanice is saddened again by her lack of makeover. Then we are onto the actual shoot, and Kyla looks alright, and then Khrys is her gorgeous, cute self. Shanice looks interesting, but her hair is just not right in that shoot. Jeana looks incredible in her shoot, and honestly if I had to pick my favourite I would go with Jeana.

The models all learn how difficult selecting shots are, and I feel this might be a wake-up call for the girls. Finally seeing the entire film can affirm the judges opinions: the entire film matters, not just one good shot.

Shanice’s shot is alright, it is a bit posed, and her face isn’t strong enough to catch the eye. Jeana looks incredible for me, blonde definitely suits her. Khrys’s face looks beautiful, but the entire shot just feels a bit cluttered. Kyla just gets lost behind the flowers, and there is no life. She is probably the weakest of the four. Khrystyana wins, and while Jeana had my favourite shot, Khrys was definitely the closest, so I am not that mad.

Jeana is continuing to wear her wig, and then Khrys has the most amazing confessional ever. Even when sounding like a complete bitch, Khrys’ general demeanour makes her so rootable.

Someone is knocking on the door, and it is Khrys and Kyla’s mothers. That is so adorable, so glad those two got the chance to see their mothers. Kyla and her mum have an adorable relationship, and I would totally try and get my mum to do some chores while she was here. Khrys and her mum have a far more serious talk. I kind of wish this wasn’t shown, it feels a bit too personal. All it does it make me want to love her more.

Time for the photoshoot, and it is a far more official Pantene shot. Jeana gets another blonde wig, and it makes me so happy because she looks stunning. I get why Khrys may be a bit annoyed, but it definitely suits her the best of all the colours.

Khrys is up first, and she looks incredible on set. Her hair is so lucious, so I definitely think she has a potential. They are definitely playing up the Jeana/Khrys rivalry, which is again giving me hope for those two being the final 2, as there is no way Jeana would trump Khrys.

Kyla gets the best set for being a Pantene, and oh god...more activist stuff. I thought we had moved past that. I will say there is nothing spectacular I saw, and I am just not sure Kyla can do commercial successfully.

Shanice finally gets her makeover, and it is definitely far better. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have done this far earlier. Despite that Shanice looks a bit awkward on set, her smile just doesn’t seem believable enough, and she isn’t really making her hair look great.

Last up we have Jeana, and I will say her set seems so unfair. I think Jeana looks incredible, and sex sells so...I am on board with this shot. I don’t get what the judges disliked, on set she was giving me whimsical glamour while she was twirling. Maybe those shots were just poor...or maybe sabotage (it was probably sabotage until Philipp Plein saved her).

Time for panel, and we have Philipp Plein as a guest judge. It makes sense to have him to evaluate, but just then give him the power to eliminate someone this week and skip the whole “he saved me, but now someone is out next week” as we all know Shanice is going out at the casting (her walk is awful).

Shanice is up first, and I hate the shot. I don’t know what any of the judges see in this, she looks derranged. Shanice is still being treated as someone with potential who is growing, and at final 4 that just isn’t enough. She reminds me of Ann...and just needs to go.

I don’t know why the judges dislike Jeana’s shot, compared to Shanice’s it is high fashion gorgeousness. She is sexy, but I don’t feel it is overbearing. I hate to say it, but I really agree with Philipp Plein here.

Kyla gets complete praise, and as I have made it clear I don’t agree. I think she had everything going for her (great hair, great set) and just didn’t bring it as a model.

Last up is Khrys, and compared to Kyla and Shanice it is stunning, and I agree it is kind of ageless. I hate that Drew is judging her so much harsher. She critiques her for not giving her best, but then when Shanice gives subpar but shows potential he is totally behind her. He needs to go...

So the judges critique, and again Shanice’s comments just frustrate me. I am fine her getting this far, but she shouldn’t go any further. Just because someone comes in getting D- shots, and is now giving B+ doesn’t make them a better candidate for ANTM than someone who comes in giving B shots, and is now only giving A level shots. She is still better, even if she hasn’t progressed as much.

But anyways, Kyla gets first call-out, and Khrys gets runner-up. And then we have Shanice somehow surviving (still confused) and Jeana being eliminated, and then saved for the second time. If anything Jeana should be the least worried now, as she is the only one who Philipp Plein has made clear he loves. There is no way he is going to save her, and then instantly cut her.

So with the finale next week, I am predicing Khrys will still be our winner. There are some hesitations, and Kyla could take it from her, but she seems like the most likely. Her biggest test will be getting past the Philipp Plein casting. Kyla is clearly the most modelesque, with a strong walk so probably won’t be knocked out for that, and Philipp Plein has shown interest in Jeana’s look, doesn’t mind her height and we all know she will kill the runway. Shanice has the weakest walk, but has a great body, whereas Khrys has a stronger walk, but just may not be his cup of tea.

My final prediction going into next week is Shanice being cut at the casting, followed by Kyla, with Jeana and Khrys as the final 2. For me I have to admit it would be the one way to redeem a somewhat average season.

Cycle 24 Week 10

So here we are at the final 6, and I am ready for some drama. With this small a group it gets harder and harder to predict who is going out, and while my brain tells me it is Erin’s time, I have a feeling in my gut that Jeana and Rio are at risk.

We start with a little bit of Kyla, but straight into Shanice’s photos. Maybe she is going to be Clark’d. Jeana’s bad edit continues, though has a slight positive slant. It could be for either a confusing first call-out, or an elimination. Khrys really is the middle man, she is just always there when someone is crying. Jeana is definitely either top or out this week.

Time for go-sees, woot. They are definitely my favourite challenges of the cycle, though I hope it is old-school go-sees, rather than being driven around from place to place without any issues.

Okay now Erin is getting intense photos, that gives us Jeana, Shanice and Erin; two for the bottom and one for the top. Looks like Rio is getting through this week...I am slightly surprised.

Oooh, the challenge is intense. Only 1 model per go-see. I think Kyla has a good chance, but Rio/Khrys/Jeana have potential to knock her off. Shanice’s walk is a mess, and Erin just has the age disadvantage.

Time for the first casting. His style is...interesting. Jeana does look really on brief, and Shanice is getting ANOTHER set of photos. I have no clue what is happening with this weeks elimination. Erin seems to be overplaying it on the next casting, she just is cheesy. Kyla looks absolutely stuning in the clothes, as does Khrys. Though I have to say, Khrys does not get a lot of focus in these episodes...not even narrational confessionals.

We are onto the last casting, and the clothing is...interesting to say the least. Shanice trying to work the fringe looks incredibly awkward. Jeana slays though, I feel she has a chance to get 2/3. With maybe Khrys/Rio getting the third one.

Time for the reveal...okay Rio gets the first one. Understandable, she is a strong walker, and gets the second one too. The final one comes down to Kyla and Rio; and Kyla manages to take one. That is decent, slight twist given Khrys dominated all past runway challenges.

Rio does look undeniably great on the runway, no surprise she dominated. The two brands she booked are totally up her street; then Kyla looks stunning as usual. I definitely think Runway is her thing post-show.

Shanice disregards Jeana’s honest advice, this show is all over the place with their edits. Shanice has been uber-positive, and now she is getting a negative. Similarly Jeana was uber negative, and now she is the relatable one. This is all just ridiculous. Are we at the point where Erin is going to win? I mean I feel like it is her, Khrys or Kyla.

We have the Paper magazine cover, for which the styling looks incredibly trashy. What the hell does cyber-sexy mean, and who wants to look 90s hip-hop music video. This is going to be a bad photoshoot, I can just tell.

Oh god, Erin’s character looks ridiculous. She looks like a middle-aged mum going to a fancy dress party. I sense another overrated photo. Rio actually looks decent, guess I was completely wrong about her.

How is Shanice’s outfit runway ready. She looks like a tacky girl going to her highschool prom. It looks so cheap. And the blonde wig isn’t much better. Why is she being given the tackiest stuff. Shanice has it on point; she does look like a 1970s hooker. That is the perfect description.

Khrys nails it as expect, and Jeana looks incredibly stunning. If any of these are going to work as a cover, Jeana’s look is by far the most striking. Kyla should be confused, her character just seems incredibly random.

After that photoshoot I have no clue who is out. Erin got a few awkward looks, and then Kyla and Shanice seemed to annoy Drew. I think Khrys, Rio and Jeana are safe though.

Time for panel, and after some great photoshoot concepts in the past weeks, these covers were...interesting. Some were good, but none were amazing. If I had to pick a top 3 instantly, I kind of liked Jeana, Khrys...and maybe even Erin. Shanice, Rio and Kyla were far more disappointing.

This elimination is tense, I really have no clue who is going out. Rio robs Khrys and Jeana of first call-out, but those two are quick to follow. Kyla manages to avoid the bottom 2, leaving Erin and Shanice. And Erin is out. This is definitely an understandable elimination, how this girl made top 6 is beyond me. She was nice, but given this photo was probably her strongest so far, it is understandable she needed to be cut.

Next episode we have Jeana breaking down, and we have some weird-ass video. Ew, I was excited for those music videos, but those look awful.

Cycle 24 Week 6

So another week, another episode. From the looks of this one, and from Liberty’s instagram, I feel we will get a typical twisted perspective of the competition. But lets begin by predicting Brendi being the eliminated girl.

We start with Christina being bullied by Shanice and Brendi, but I am totally team Christina here. Coura hadn’t performed, and to be honest, Shanice should have gone over Christina and Coura in my opinion.

Now we have Rio being overly cocky, ugh. Still don’t see what the judges saw in that photo. She just looks derranged.

Tyra mail reveals time for LGBT+ week, and the first of Liberty’s confessionals. Oooh, but now Brendi is coming out on TV. She does realise this puts a slight time limit, as of course this is going to be shown.

Wow, we have an Erin confessional. Haven’t had one of those in a while. All of Liberty’s confessionals have been designed to give the impression Liberty isn’t necessarily okay with this, but not outwardly stating it.

Woop, another runway challenge. I never know if I like DIY challenges, purely because they are totally unrealistic. No model will ever decide their own styling for a runway. Another NYFW prize, lets see Khrystyana take another runway win.

Okay, first up is Sandra, she looks alright. Jeana looks killer, sexy, not overly cheesy. Kyla looks a bit flat, it is just a bit too cheesy. Why is she wearing a Caitlyn Jenner jacket, she should not be a gay icon in the slightest. Liberty is stomping it, more typical runway than anything. 

Okay, lets take a moment to consider Kyla’s views here. She was totally willing to wear a Caitlyn Jenner jacket, a transgender woman who has come out to reveal she is a republican, and doesn’t support equal rights in marriage, but has issues with Liberty coming from a Republican background, and maybe being a bit tentative. She hasn’t done anything offencive, and this whole thing is ridiculous. If anything, Kyla is the one coming off as a bit uneducated here. She needs to know her facts before she preaches against one girl.

But anyways, back to Brendi. It is a bit stompy for my taste. These girls are treating this too silly, they are forgetting they are trying to win an actual runway show. Rio is alright, nothing special for me. What is Khrystyana doing, like she is milking it, but it is a bit weird for me. Christina’s was another safe one. Shanice did alright, she is adding the flare, but her runway walk is pretty decent. Erin just looks a bit lost, and omg....I don’t think I needed to see that.

If it was up to me, Jeana would have it in the bag. But I have a feeling Khrys is getting another win. Awww, Brendi is sad. At least she isn’t pulling a Rio and claiming she deserved to win because of that reason.

And the winner is....Khrys of course. Another win that I don’t necessarily agree with. If Khrys does end up winning, this will be one of the most unexpected endings to a season. Even a middle of the Cycle dip wouldn’t be enough to throw us off.

Oh god, time for the moment we have been waiting for in the previews. Kyla v Liberty. Wow, they are using a confessional from pre-makeovers for Liberty. I feel bad for Liberty, she is arguing a point ineffectively. I actually think Liberty and Kyla believe the same thing, its just Liberty doesn’t think true equality, but she is right. There are some situations that are never going to be equal, but that is okay. But feminists want the artificial divides society has created between men and women to be destroyed. Still, Liberty does not come off well...but not as badly as I expected.

And now back to Christina and Brendi/Shanice fight. Wow, Christina is totally bragging about everything she does. I don’t think Christina is the mega-bitch the show is putting her across as, but I do think she has a slight attitude race.

Now we have the photoshoot, I am so excited for this. Purely because the styling actually looks gorgeous. Here come the drag queens, Katya seems hilarious. The three of them almost make me want to watch Ru Paul’s Drag Race.

First up we have Rio and Valentina. Rio does look gorgeous, but the face is very bland. Wow, if I was Liberty I don’t know how I would react to that either. She does look gorgeous though, but she looked killer on set. Khrys looked gorgeous. Kyla did seem to get lost in the feathers.

Shanice is giving the same dead eyes, I swear if she gets praised for them, I will quit. Erin does look gorgeous, but she kind of looks older than Manilla. Jeana looks stunning in the styling, expecting a great photo from her. Sandra too, stunning.

Oh for, Valentina is egging on the drama, and I love it. Christina’s hair ruins the shot for me, why can’t they just accept it was a mistake. Brendi looks gorgeous, but she does come across a bit too tough.

Okay, after that I definitely think Brendi v Kyla for the bottom 2, with Brendi going home. As for first call out, Christina could get a sudden upshoot, or Khrys could just get another.

What is with the model’s styling this week, all of them look kind of awful. Anyways, as usual, I will leave this section for my rankings this week. But the instant favourites are Khrys, Jeana and (I am surprised as anyone) Shanice, whereas Brendi, Erin and Kyla’s shots failed for me.

As for the call-out, as expected Khrystyana gets it. It is probably the best, but her edit is getting sickening. There is no edge to her, and she is fading for me. Shanice’s shot is gorgeous, glad she got second call-out. Omg, my three favourites got the top 3. I am so ecstatic. Bottom 3 are obvious...and oh my god. Liberty and Kyla are in the bottom 2. Damn it, I knew it was possible...Liberty is out.

I am honestly horrified at Liberty’s elimination. I knew it coming in that she was never going to win, but her performance had been so strong, I just feel she was robbed. At least we officially now know there is going to be a comeback episode this cycle, as Liberty has been seen in the futuristic ball runway for the throwback episode, so that is most likely going to be the comeback one.

As for what is happening next time, I think Brendi is at risk again. And if I am being honest, Erin needs to go. She just hasn’t performed in the slightest.

Cycle 24 Week 3

Hey guys, I am so excited to start this episode. It is going to be great to see who will work their makeovers, and my prediction of Ivana going home is still in force. But lets see if I am right.

Okay, still loving the intro, especially Coura and Liberty. Ah poor Maggie, so many high hopes based on her promo shots. Still think she was kind of robbed. Ugh, still don’t get Coura’s win. It just looks so awkward. It is honestly growing off me. Yep, Coura is getting overhyped, she is probably going to faulter.

Yay, time for makeovers. Already seen all this though, but the ones I am excited about are Khrys, Liberty, Rhiyan, Rio, Jeana and Liz. Sandra, Kyla, Erin and Shanice sound a bit mediocre. Ivana, Brendi and Christina...poor you guys. Then we have Coura getting the Coura...so we have no clue what is happening there.

Definitely playing the whole Trump thing this episode, I am expecting drama from Kyla and Liberty. Hoping Liberty doesn’t come off too bad.

Jeana looks absolutely gorgeous in her confessional, but I don’t know what she is worried about. Her bald head is gorgeous, and we have seen the wig in some other photoshoots, so we know it comes back. But still, definitely going to be a transformation moment for her.

Really, are people saying Liberty is offending ginger people? Like seriously, that is taking the sensitivity to a whole new level. I’d be worried if I was told I was going red, ginger people suit ginger, but she isn’t getting proper ginger hair so it doesn’t really matter.

Oh god Christina causing drama with Sandra, this is even more idiotic than the apple incident last week. Totally on Sandra’s side here, she is just so gorgeous, how can someone not love her. Ooh, now Brendi and Christina. These guys are going at it over such stupid things. Though Christina did look absolutely radiant in the confessional though. Wow, Brendi doesn’t want to be called Brendi. Maybe she would yell at me too, cause I am going to forget to add the K.

We are at the salon, wooh. Ugh, Law is there. Bring back Miss J. I want him back, he is just the best at makeovers. Finally to find out what the Coura is...and it is absolutely nothing. Wow, all that excitement over nothing. But they are definitely overhyping her, poor Coura is not our winner this season.

Oh my got...poor Brendi, it is just tragic. Her face is gorgeous, but no one deserves a buzz. Rhiyan is gorgeous, love her hair. Also loving the makeover shots, totally going to rank these. Kyla is...basically the same but straight.

Awww, poor Jeana. I am getting more in love with her each time she appears on my screen. Okay, wow, Law is actually being sweet. What a surprise. She is still so gorgeous, Awww, Law has a heart. Though he is totally stealing Jeana’s moment. She is so stunning, I am honestly in awe with her beauty. She is easily up there with Anchal as one of the most gorgeous girls.

Sandra looks amazing, as expected. Christina looks...awful. Her hair is so depressing. Liberty the makeover well, though I wished it was a bit more vibrant. It feels slightly lacklustre. Not a fan of Erin’s, forced wavy just looks awwkard to me. Rio looks amazing. Ah, Ivana is our crier without justification for the episode. I don’t hate her makeover, but I loved the full big hair, so I think this was another bad episode. WOw, Liz is being Liz. She is the only one that could work that hair...which looks like some cheap wig. Khrys is stunning, love her hair.

Finally we have Shanice, and oh, another condition. Poor Shanice, that explains why nothing seemingly changed in promo shots. Kind of sad Shanice didn’t get that dramatic makeover, this is so sad. Tyra is such a bitch, why did she want to make us cry. This is not fair. I feel so bad for her that she doesn’t want to be the crier, but who cares, this is totally understandable. THis girl is growing on me completely.

Some drama with Brendi, maybe she is being set up for another bottom 2 appearance. Though I totally understand her worries, though she needs to own her masculinity.

Love the look of this high fashion music video, the breif clips of Jeana and Coura look stunning. Reminds me of the extravagent outfits of the Las Vegas video, without the cheap moments.

Why is Law always here, I want Mis J. The outfits look so stunning, I am really in love with all of them. Most of the girls seem to be doing well, but Coura’s is still easily the best I saw. Rhiyan doesn’t seem to be doing well, not great. Jeana looks gorgeous as expected. She is clearly getting first call-out this episode.

Ivana is up next, her movements seem a bit awkward, her facial expressions are so dramatic. Awww, Shanice doesn’t do well. Another awkward performance. Rio looks stunning, Christina is gorgeous, Khrys looks great, same with Sandra and Kyla, and Liberty too. She is coming off as the real surprise of the cycle, so excited, even though she is never going to win.

Brendi is flopping hard, and Rio is calling her out. Loving Rio so damn much. Also looks like Kyla isn’t bottom 2 this week, and I think Brendi, Shanice or Rhiyan will be there instead.

Oh yeah, also meant to mention looks like Tyra is just filming the Tyra mails after the panel, so at least we get some variation I guess. Time for panel, and again Tyra is not looking great in her outfit. Ugh, this forced transformation of the judges. Law looks so much better without his cheapo long hair. And then Drew...wow, that is actually a moment. Amazing.

Okay, like last week I’ll leave the critique of the videos and the judges comments for the weekly ranking. But my instant faves are Liberty, Coura and Jeana, but on the other end, Ivana, Rhiyan and Shanice stood out for the wrong reasons. Another strong week though, this was a beautiful set.

Oooh Liz and Brendi coming out of nowhere, I am so damn confused. Liz is so annoying, that is just rude. Ugh, she is so frustrating. Hope she goes home soon now. 

Liberty deserved best performance, she killed it. Glad they didn’t give it to Jeana just for the stuff she went through, but I would have been happy if she got it. Coura was robbed of a higher spot, seems I just don’t get the judges with her. Bottom 3 as somewhat expected, with Shanice and Ivana in bottom 2. And Ivana gone as expected.

Definitely a great episode, even if the drama felt a bit forced. Still the music video was gorgeous. Ivana deserved to go home, her video was the weakest, but I am sad to see her go. She came into the competition with such a fire, and I wanted to see her rock it.

Next week we have the horror shoot. Looks like a good shoot, and the drama again looks strong. If I had to make an instant guess of who was going home, I think Liz could be in trouble. Sandra I feel will be the fake-out eliminee. But pretty much everyone else has been seen at another point in the promo...so bye Liz I guess, whether it is for quitting or elimination. Well, those two or Rhiyan are our real options here.

Cycle 24 Week 14

Okay, here we are. The finale. After a season of controversial cuts, missed potential and Jeana being saved consistently we are here at the end. I am so hoping it ends on a high, but I am doubtful. My predictions stand at Shanice being cut before the runway, followed by either Khrys or Jeana (probably Khrys sadly, as Jeana has a clear 2nd place edit) right after the runway, with Kyla winning after final deliberations. I am hoping I am wrong, but lets begin and see.

Tyra is giving her emotional and passionate speech, and apparently the rule about being eliminated at any time was always in effect. You would think they would cut at least one girl before now, as it seems like a bit of a cop out to deal with the fact they saved Jeana.

I love how they show a montage of Khrys’ challenge wins, and her surprise face is virtually the exact same for every challenge. So many montages of the cycle, Kyla’s shows someone who is either great or awful, and Jeana shows a redemption arc. I am so hoping they aren’t building anything up with those two.

They are now at the Phillip Plein casting. I am so hoping Khrys does well. Oh god, he is telling her to stop breathing and struggling to zip her up. Please don’t cut her just because she is plus-size. Khrys has gotten praised for her bouncy walk throughout the season, and I always said it wasn’t my favourite...damn, I hate that he is agreeing. The clothes look incredible on her, so I hope that saves her over Shanice.

Shanice is next, and she looks gorgeous in the clothes...damn. Her walk is...not as bad as before. And Phillip’s comments are no where near as harsh as on Khrys. Jeana does fine, and Kyla looks like the epitome of a model, so of course she does fine. It is down to Khrys and Shanice...and it seems no one is being cut. Shanice is being delusional if she thinks they just changed their mind, it will probably happen in the morning.

Khrys is crying...why am I so attached to her. The editors suck for making her so relatable, and if she doesn’t end up winning this will be heart breaking.

Okay it is morning time, and time for the Paper spread. I am so excited, I was worried we wouldn’t get a photoshoot this week with having the casting for Phillip Plein and the Runway show. Guess I’ll have something to judge after all. Time for a cut...come on Khrys, power through. And the eliminated girl is...please don’t be Khrys. It is Shanice. Few. I think she did well to make it to the final 4, but the others were just stronger. Sha-Nasty will be missed, but never forgotten.

And then there were 3, and Jeana is not crying a single tear over her fallen girls. If there was ever any doubt over whether Jeana would win, her comments in this episode would definitely stop that.

We have a similar aesthetic to last cycles, and Jeana is being given a wig. Wow. For a Paper spread that seems like a confusing choice. Her photoshoots go alright. Khrys comes in and seems to kill it, hopefully this will be enough to drive her through. Kyla does well. After this it seems Khrys is back in the running to win, but Kyla is still pulling ahead. I guess it will all come down to the final runway.

Kyla and Sandra instantly hug, and Rhiyan is with her. Liberty, Erin and Sandra seem to be team Khrys...with Jeana having absolutely no one. Even Rio seems to be going with Khrys. We even get a brief sight of Ivana...but no Maggie, Christina or Coura. Guess they just weren’t important enough to even get the slightest sight of.

Awwww, a lot of kids are going to be joining them on the runway. I love it how the group are all sort of the same height, and then one of the girls just towers above. Adorable. 

The runway is starting off interestingly. Giant faces. Sandra looks incredible there, she just instantly stands out. Did they actually just call Jennifer yellow...interesting.

Rio is up first and she looks decent, same with Rhiyan. Jeana is the first actual contestant, and she kills it. As much as she may irritate me, Jeana kills a runway. Shanice must be so annoyed she still needs to do this right after being cut. Kyla is cool, but her face is so bland, and she is not treating that jacket well. Khrys looks gorgeous, her smile is gorgeous.

The kids are being cut for the second look. Sandra looks incredible in her segment, she looks like a high fashion model of my dreams. Christina looks gorgeous too, same with Coura. Oh my god, I forgot how much I loved this cast at the start.

Kyla looks decent, but again there is something awkward about the face. People like Rhiyan and Rio who follow just look better to me. Khrys is next, and she is a bit bouncy, but kills it in my opinion. Jeana though is easily the top of the 3. She just has such a natural swagger to her walk. Ashley is right, with that walk who cares about her height.

Right now it could be anybody’s game based on this episode. Jeana faltered in the photoshoot but took it home on the runway, and the other two did the reverse. I am still hoping Khrys comes out on top...but even now my gut says Kyla has it in the bag.

The final panel is happening right now, on the stage. One person is being cut instantly based on the Paper magazine. Okay, Jeana could be in trouble then. Kyla does look gorgeous, her body is incredible, but I’m not loving the face. There is something about her nose that just looks like she has bad make-up. Khrys’ shot looks light, and energetic, but her face lacks definition. Oh no, has Khrys faltered on her strength. I hate that Law says Khrys has gotten worse, they are all so delusional. She has killed it all cycle, from week 1 to week 13. I so hope he is cut if this cycle is renewed. Keep Ashley, keep Tyra and keep Drew as a judge, not a creative director. Kick Law aside from maybe one challenge on personal style. Jeana is last, and her shot looks alright. None of these photos are really working for me. If anything Kyla probably did do the best.

After that critique it is down to Jeana and Khrys. I think Khrys is going home. Yep, she is. Damn. 3rd place? Really? I am so disappointed this season had the strongest plus size model this show has ever seen and she ends up 3rd. Ridiculous.

I guess that means Kyla is winning 100%. Funny how in a season that preached body diversity, and age diversity we end up with a winner who was the youngest on the cast, and probably the most typical model in the book.

I am glad the judges weren’t loving Kyla’s walk. I can’t believe I agreed with Law after that, but I’ll focus more on that I am agreeing with Ashley. They love Jeana’s walk, but her treatment of the child isn’t well received. Now they are judging their body of work, and it is making me realise how far Kyla has come. I still don’t think she is there, but if she continues this trajectory I can see her being a worthwhile winner. Jeana’s portfolio is so strong though, so I would still argue Kyla not only robbed Khrys this cycle, but Jeana too.

Okay, so time to reveal the winner and Kyla wins...of course. This was unfortunately predictable from the moment Khrys’ edit became too apparent, and does end the season on a bit of a low. Kyla is a fine winner, but she reminds me more of someone like Nyle. A winner who didn’t necessarily deserve it based on what we saw on the show, but will utilise the tools given by the show the best. I have no doubts Kyla will be a strong model post-show, and in a few years hopefully we can look back on this cycle as the one that gave us Kyla. A high-fashion biracial beauty, who actually succeeded in modelling. But until that happens this cycle will be one of the ones where someone far more deserving was robbed (though not to the level of Cycle 9 or 10, more like the equivalent to Cycle 12 or 19).

But anyways, that is us done with Cycle 24. Over the next few days I will finish up the rankings of the photos, then get out the top 10 lists and model rankings. Cycle 24 Episode 12

Okay, sorry for the delay in getting this episode out. This week has been absolutely hectic, but tonight I should polish off this weeks stuff just in time for tonights episode. Time to see who is the comeback (even if It was pretty obvious) and get a fleeting image of the girls who were kicked out too soon (except from Liz and Brendi, but was anyone really wanting to see any more of them).

Still love Khrystyana’s video, it is absolutely gorgeous. Her makeover was so perfect for her. Awww, we have a sweet moment with Rio, though I feel with the drama this episode that isn’t going to stay. The music is a bit much though...

I would totally keep the big bed too, screw companionship when you have space. More of Rio’s “fate” schtick, they really aren’t hiding that her and Jeana are going to conflict this episode.

Time for throwback week. Still disappointed at the choices for the challenges. While the best one (bubble runway) was chosen, for the photoshoot they picked such weird choices. It was clear they wanted to fix it so the spider shoot was chosen.

I wish they could have brought back Miss J for this. That would have been absolutely incredible. I also wish they stayed true to the original concept, that platform is massive. There is no way anyone is going to fall off it.

Time for the girls to be brought out. So great to see so many of these girls. So much wasted potential. While the top 4 seem good now, if we were being fair only Khrys should still be there. 

The moment between Sandra and Kyla is sweet, even if we don’t actually hear anything from Sandra...and then Jeana and Rio are just awkward. Rio should have just been a bit cooler, I bet had she been all happy about Jeana being here the judges might have actually kept her.

Why is the designer being subtitled...are Americans just deaf, because she spoke perfectly clear to me. Her looks are gorgeous too. Rio is out first, and her walk is a bit slow. She does seem a bit more awkward than she normally is. Jeana looks great, but her walk is still a bit weak for someone who is incredible. Sandra, Ivana, Rhiyan, Coura and Maggie go by in a flash. It is clear none of them are that important, and Liberty is only on for a fraction of a second more. Can’t really judge any of them.

Time for Khrys, and she seemed okay until the slight trip. I bet the judges were wishing they had at least one fall. Christina is pretty competent. If only she wasn’t clearly despised by the judges, then she could have potentially come back. Shanice is alright, nothing atrocious. I think the bubble covered her awkward legs...to be honest, it just covered everything. With the smoke, nothing is that visible. Kyla does the best of the actual contestants, but somehow Erin actually slays it...I am just in shock. You would think this isn’t her first time, but even with being 42, I doubt she has done that before.

Erin is the first of the 4 back, and it is pretty deserved. If only her posing was close to that level. Liberty is back, so happy. Even if she has no chance of returning, another shot will be good. Christina is the third....with Jeana rounding out the crew. So bye-bye we say to Coura, Maggie, Rhiyan, Sandra and Ivana for the second time. Aside from Sandra, I don’t think we even saw any of these models apart from the obligatory shot on the runway...awkward.

The tension does seem a bit awkward in the house. I don’t think any of the models should be that threatened, while one of them will definitely be leaving, none of the comebacks are ever going to take away the crown from someone.

Rio seems to be the advocate for the split between the two factions. Neither of them seem to get if any of these girls come back and win, they did deserve it. Sure they were eliminated once, but if they end up winning that means everyone was eliminated at some point. Such a stupid split...I would be focusing on beating out those still in the competition with you, so the comeback doesn’t steal your place.

We get a nice montage of some of the past photoshoots. Khrys mentions the Macau building shoot, but I wish it had been either the snake shot from Cycle 1 or paint shot from Cycle 12.

Rio is finally migrating to the official girls room, and hiding it from Jeana. This seems so damn petty. She is now getting incredibly intense...and Khrys is just awkwardly there.

Time for the photoshoot, and of course they pair people up with their complete opposite. Liberal v Republican. Horrid Makeover v No Makeover. Bald v Bleach Blonde. Old v....slightly less Old. Eva looks just as gorgeous as she did back on Cycle 3...actually, scratch that. I think she looks even more gorgeous now. And Nigel is back...great I guess. Having just watched some old cycles recently, I feel my rose tinted glasses for all stuff from the old cycles have been shattered, and Nigel just seems like a bit of a knob to me.

First up we have Liberty and Kyla. Nothing major about their shoot. Erin and Khrys next, and Erin has clearly not had a revelation about modelling in the two episodes she has been gone. Khrys should be glad Erin has no chance of overshadowing her. Erin decides to put the spider on her face, and honestly I just wish these were all beauty shoots. The wide shots just look wrong.

Jeana and Rio are the third pair, and Jeana trounces Rio. She is making it clear that last weeks choice was just completely wrong. Shanice and Christina are the last pair, and it is another case where the comeback contestant destroys the contestant. Eva is right, Shanice should have been Sha-Bye-Bye. If I didn’t know the result, I would totally be thinking Shanice would be out this week.

From photoshoot, we go pretty much immediately into panel. Unlike normal, all my comments for the shots have pretty much been completely done, so I’ll leave them be, and just comment through this. I wish Nigel or Eva could have been brought back for this panel, as a guest. Seems odd to have neither of them. Tyra has a rant about how gorgeous Eva is, basically signalling Eva’s best shot will always be picked, and the girls better hope they look good in that shot.

Christina gets overall praise, and Shanice gets rightfully lauded. I am still sad Christina wasn’t brought back, her shot is absolutely stunning. Rio and Jeana are next, and I feel the judges big up Jeana’s shot too much. Sure it is good, but I don’t think it is that much better than Rio’s. Not enough to get this amount of difference in the shot. Kyla and Liberty next, and I somewhat agree with the judges. While I doubt this is Liberty’s best shot, Kyla does trounce her here. Liberty is pretty, but she does border on not looking like a model. Kyla just slays. Last up is Khrys and Erin, and just as expected one slays, and the other falls flat. Don’t know why Drew says he can visualize her shot in the trash, especially with Rio and Shanice failing miserably. Literally only Kyla did better than her, of the contestants left.

So in the end Rio is out, and Jeana is back. This was a predictable result, but did right last weeks mistake. It was an okay episode. I wish it hadn’t been spoiled by previews. After last year spoiling Tash’s return, they could have just made sure none of Jeana’s post-elimination shots were shown. Still, I now think we have a pretty great final 4. Khrys and Jeana have consistently slayed. Kyla has really come into her own, and while Shanice is the clear weak link, she has done better than everyone expected, and brings a nice character to the four. If only Christina was in her place, I feel this would have been perfect. As for next week (or literally just the next hour), I think Shanice is in trouble. If she doesn’t go out, I think Kyla is the only other model who needs to worry.

Cycle 24 Recap Episode

So this week we got two episodes, one recap and one normal. I wasn’t going to cover this one, as I normally don’t watch it. So I won’t go into incredible detail here, but just point out any key moments I see. Plus there is maybe some specific moments I have heard about that I want to see for myself.

So sad seeing so much wasted potential. While Erin being out makes it a bit better, I am still so sad for girls like Liberty, Christina, Maggie, Rhiyan and Coura.

First up is Shanice. Easily the biggest surprise of the cycle, I do question whether she should still be here, but it is undeniable she has potential, and has turned out a few stunning shots. What happened to her long hair...pre-show she had beautiful braids at some points, and just gorgeous long black hair at others. Why didn’t she keep those for the show.

Now we have Khrys. Khrys is the clear front-runner, she literally has everything. At this point if she doesn’t win, I will be horrified. She has a strong portfolio, a great personality and purpose. She is just adorable. The only thing really stopping her at this point is her edit often is really weak in episodes. I mean, did we even really see her in the last week?

Time for Jeana. To say she has had a journey is a complete understatement. She went from the cute girl week 1, who had a stunning look, to a girl who came across as bitter and cocky. She isn’t going to win, but I hope she gets some kind of redemption in the next few weeks. Omg, there was a moment where Liberty was fighting for woman’s rights, claiming Playboy was bad...wow, no surprise they didn’t show the positive aspects of her. Now we learn about her awful past. Her mother suffered from drug addiction, so she was in-and-out of foster care. I hate that the judges only show these moments in this stupid recap episode; this deserves to be shown so people can understand her.

Kyla is our next model. I have to say I am someone in the camp that Kyla doesn’t deserve to still be here. Her portfolio is so inconsistent, and those good shots are all based on potential more than modelling skill. Apparently Kyla was the class clown, I have no clue what is happening in all these clips.

More clips of the drag queens; those guys were hilarious. I want more moments like this in this episode, not random sob-story recaps and just clips from past episodes that we have seen.

But finally we are at Rio. I don’t know how to feel about her. I loved her at the start, but I still see no real improvement from those weeks. This week she at least varied the episode, so maybe there is still hope. But I kind of feel she is a lock for final 4 at least. Her being cut at any point would just seem a bit odd at this point. Hah, they remind us of her bitterness. Everyone still looks so uncomfortable in that dinner scene.

Okay, with all that stuff over, now we get to see the guests to the house. Apparently there was some random social media guy, then Ashley came and gave them a copy of her book? How nice...I guess.

So many new clips. I love this, this is why I wanted to watch this. We see Jeana and Rio next week, and we see Liberty at the spider shoot. It is official, there is a comeback contestant. But that means it has to be at final 4...but we see Rio complaining about her spot being taken in a confessional with Khrys. That rules those two out. I think that means next week’s elimination has to be Jeana/Kyla/Shanice. This is so intense, I can’t wait for next week to be over so the comeback can begin.

Cycle 24 Week 9

And here we are, at the final 7...and in an episode that doesn’t contain a comeback. I am still confused as to what is happening, and if there is even going to be a comeback this cycle. But anyways, I feel Brendi’s journey is going to come to an end this week. Then again, I thought she was going to be gone week 2 or 3, so don’t take that for any certainty.

Again, Sandra isn’t mentioned in the previously section. I distinctly remember Liberty getting featured, and I am 90% sure Rhiyan was. Maybe its because it was earlier, so less stories to remind people of, or maybe potential hints to who is likely to comeback...if they even have one.

Kyla’s shot is still not my favourite, but Rio’s comments were down right bitchy. Really hope she is gone soon. And we are quickly onto Tyra mail, so I guess there isn’t much drama to fill the gaps.

Little bit of Rio and Jeana, my least favourite friendships. Surprised we are getting this much from them; essentially, one of them is going into the bottom 2. Love Shanice now, never has there been such a change in my opinion of a contestant.

Ew, dancing. I know movement is required for modelling, but dancing stuff is always so bad. At least we know it isn’t really related to the photoshoot that much. Jeana got photos shown, 90% sure she is going in the bottom 2.

Though Jeana did look incredible dancing, though definitely setting her up for a fall. Brendi just looks awkward, as gorgeous as she can look all made up, in situations like this she just sticks out like a sore thumb. Those two are definitely the bottom 2, as everyone else just gets montaged. Shanice’s was more comical, than detrimental.

Now Ashley is here, and time for the real challenge. Love challenges that involve capturing motion, always result in some awful and hilarious results. I love it how the challenge reward is literally a single outfit. I remember when you got bags full, now it is just the sweaty stuff you wore all day.

Shanice looked pretty good, especially in the end pose. Jeana’s is a bit dancery, but it does look kind of great. Brendi just looks like a hot mess...and she failed. Khrys is just as bad, but she carries it off better. Rio and Erin both look a bit stiff...and then last we have Kyla...wow, so many uncoordinated people this episode. The winner has to be Shanice or Jeana, but my gut could give it to Jeana again.

The judges agree with me on the top 2...and Jeana rightfully wins. Two in a row, this will not help with the over-confidence. Shanice is always runner-up, poor her. And there reward is just getting really, really, really cold...wow, what a treat.

The divisions in this house have been drawn...poor Jeana and Rio. I would feel worse for them though if I didn’t hate Rio, and then Jeana by association.

Time for Brendi’s breakdown. Erin is going all momma on Brendi’s ass. She is just stuck in the past, and as crude as it sounds, she needs to move past this stuff. Her story is just annoying right now. Though it is interesting to see Shanice and Brendi beside each other; one is the perfect example of someone who is fighting for everything, and the other is someone who has given up, and uses where they come from as an excuse for not succeeding. Also, this is the second set of shots/videos from Shanice...this is probably a first call-out edit.

This shoot looks absolutely divine, but I am worried it will get the crap treatment. Most of the concepts this season have been solid, but the end products are just...mediocre.

Dramatic wind, this is a disaster. Jeana has been hit, she is down. She is down...awww, poor girl. A dent in her head would kind of be disastrous for her look. Shanice is not believing her, and oh god. THey have proof, she did not get hit. Jeana is a faker...wow, so we can rule her out as a winner. Right now pretty much only Khrys, Kyla and Shanice can win.

Brendi doesn’t look too bad on set, maybe I am going to be wrong again. Kyla, Khrys, Rio and Shanice all get montaged, and seem to do decently each. Wow, Khrys’ dress is absolutely stunning. Oh, Erin is thrown in there too. Definitely down to Jeana and Brendi. Maybe it just is everyone does week, or Brendi just has no good shots. Shanice is still my pick for first call-out after that performance. Jeana is the only one who gets any negative comments, but even they weren’t extreme.

I honestly don’t know why Brendi is crying, this girl is just confusing. She got praised on set, why is she a mess. Jeana is the only one who deserves to complain, as she possibly got wounded AND did slightly bad on set.

Okay it is time for panel. Seems so weird to have so few models, and still have Erin and Brendi there. So many fall angels. The shots this week came out better than I expected, but like most shoots there is a clear divide. Those who did good (Shanice and Khrys) were sensational, but those who flopped (Rio, Erin and Jeana) were pretty subpar. 

So Brendi quit, and still an elimination...though not sure if this will just be a fakeout. Shanice gets first call-out as expected, and it is well-deserved. Her shot is gorgeous. Yay, my top 2 are the top 2. Kyla and Jeana are in the bottom 2, that is interesting. Still think it is going to be a fake-out...and it is. That was boring. Should have just eliminated someone, would have been so much more interesting.

Next week looks bland as anything. The go-sees look solid, but the photoshoot looks so boring. Shanice will probably cause drama, and end up in the bottom 2, but I think Rio is going to be eliminated. Either her or Jeana.

Cycle 24 Week 8

Okay, I’m going to state something that seems obvious, but has just been confirmed. Christina isn’t the comeback contestant. I mean in the previously-on section, they didn’t even show her being eliminated. Ridiculous. But anyway, onto this episode. Also, I feel like Erin is still the most likely eliminee, but Sandra is another viable choice (and possibly with a bottom 2 with Rio).

We begin with more talk about the ridiculous multi-first call-out, bit boring. But more about Khrys, who was totally robbed.

Now onto more interesting stuff, Rio is not being portrayed well. It is everyone against Rio it seems. Wow, why have we been hearing about Kyla being an activist for ages, and not the fact she had a brain injury. Now we have Jeana going off to snitch, she is like Rio’s little minion. And now Rio instantly goes uber defensive, and normally when someone does that, rather than just go apolagetic and sincere, it means they did what they are accused of.

Oh god, another social media challenge. Sandra v Rio take 2 I guess. Now Erin being a grandma again. Omg, the fact they say 43 followers...this show is savage. We get a mirror selfie lesson, I really feel I should pay attention, as I am awful at selfies. Wow, another chance for the show to display how stupid the models are. Okay, that was all ridiculous, glad it is done. But now onto the actual challenge.

Jourdan Dunn is absolutely stunning, I mean look at her. She is brilliant. She really puts pretty much all the cast to shame (aside from Sandra, I have to Sandra is still one of the most naturally striking girls I have seen).

Okay, Kyla is saying it is hard to remember all the tips...but there is literally 3. And wow, I love how Rio says instagram is her thing, when she has 1,000 followers. And now she calls her stupid again. Rio is definitely becoming the bitch of the cycle.

We finally get mention of Erin being in the bottom 2, and now she is pissed off at Khrys for helping her. Listen to the girl, she has like 14,000 times the amount of followers as you had when this was happening.

These shots are all pretty bad, laughable almost. Erin’s is so bad, grandma couldn’t get with it. Sandra looks alright, and Jeana’s lighting is a bit awkward. Kyla’‘s is assaulted by Rio. Please be Sandra....please be Sandra. Ugh, it was Jeana. I mean her shot was alright, but Sandra’s was so much better. Plus, image how Rio would have reacted.

Now time for a heart-to-heart with Kyla and Rio, how adorable. Now Rio is trying to explain it away with the most ridiculous story, can’t she just own up to it like an iconic ANTM bitch. Kyla is standing up for those people, like her true activist self. Go Kyla!!!!!

Now onto photoshoot, so excited for this shoot. Oh god, Rio says another insensitive statement, and does the classic “it’s a joke” comeback. If anyone still supports her after this episode, I will be surprised. At least it looks like she is going to struggle in this shoot.

Erin’s body positive statement was cringeworthy, and this entire thing is just taking the body positive thing to another level. It’s good to see them reach out to men, but I am getting sick of the uber serious stuff. Also, sidenote. I love how little we have seen Shanice and Brendi. The two are a lot easier to like when they are in the background.

Rio goes annoying again, I have never seen someone go from great to ridiculous within the space of like 4 episodes. I loved this girl so recently.

Time for the photoshoot. Erin seems to be doing better than expected. Oh god, I have a feeling Sandra is our eliminee this week. I will miss her so much. Khrys isn’t reacting well, I hope it doesn’t affect her, she needs to kill. Poor Khrys, this is bringing horrible flashbacks of Kayla in Cycle 15.

Sandra is understandably nervous. her religious beliefs need to come first. It is annoying the show is putting them through this. Also, her styling is tragic. It just looks like a bird with golden poop shat on her head.

Rio is underperforming, not enough to get her eliminated sadly, but enough to shove her in the bottom 2 with Sandra. Kyla on the otherhand looks amazing, though I do think the mane of hair really helps. I have a feeling this is the beginning of Kyla’s acceleration. And Rio sounds totally sincere when she is praising Kyla.

Brendi looks stunning for the three seconds we see her, wheras Shanice looks a bit more awkward. Now onto Jeana, and the height difference between these two is absolutely ridiculous. There must be like an entire foot between the two.

I am very confused, in the preview we saw them do another shoot with different makeup (like silver skin). Sad to see them not include that. Rio is worried, and then Sandra isn’t. The TV editors are so obvious in their editing, bye-bye my social media Queen.

Now we are at panel, and I won’t be critiquing them here, but I am so excited that Law is missing. Jourdan Dunn seems like a worthy replacement, same hair, so as long as she makes innappropriate jokes, she gives us everything Law does. These photos are absolutely stunning photography wise, but the models seemed a bit awkward in a lot of them. My instant favourites were Jeana, Shanice and Kyla, whereas Rio, Sandra and Brendi disappointed me.

As much as I liked Kyla’s shot, I feel Jeana was robbed. Her shot was just another level for me. I definitely think Jeana is getting the runner-up treatment. But this is another week where my top 3 are the same as the judges. I am really sad to see Sandra go, she was such a gorgeous girl, and could have done so much better. Definitely not loving how this cycle is going in terms of how is left. Next week’s shoot looks absolutely gorgeous, and I am hoping those models left start to pick things up.

Cycle 24 Week 7

After a few interesting weeks, I am excited to see whether this episode continues the shock eliminations (following early front-runners like Liberty and Coura), or whether some of the obvious fillers like Sandra, Brendi and Erin finally get cut. If I had to make a prediction, I guess I would stick with Brendi, but it really is fair game. Anyone aside from Khrys, Jeana or Rio could be at risk really.

Okay so we begin with people being jealous of Khrys, and rightfully so. But now onto Kyla, oh, and now onto Brendi. She did not get portrayed well there. Definitely going to be her going home. If I am wrong again, this will be embarassing.

What is this word Rio is saying...I have no clue how to even guess how to spell that. But I guess it isn’t positive. More Brendi sob-story, at this point it is beginning to grow old.

This has to be the first time we have really heard about Erin since the first episode, yet somehow it still focuses on Rio and Jeana. Now Erin is crying, why haven’t we been seing a more honest side of her. But Erin is definitely at risk of bottom 2. Awww, now I feel bad for all the cruel comments about her photos.

I am so excited for this photoshoot. Oooh, maybe we will have another Robin/Anna, and Erin just has to be eliminated by default for not posing nude. But now I am realising it probably isn’t nude, but is that weird hands shoot we saw in the promo.

It is weird this is the first time Tyra has actually been seen outside of panel since the first episode. I miss the days when she would just randomly show up, for some weird challenge.

Oh god, this is so awkward. Poor Christina. Poor Christina, everyone is getting the sob-stories this week. I mean even Shanice is understanding her. Christina clearly isn’t going home, maybe her story arc is a lot more developed than I thought.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t catch what Khrystyana’s story was, but I am sure it was touching. If anyone can message me what exactly happened, unless it gets expanded on later.

Looks like Erin isn’t alone in not posing nude, Sandra is right there beside her. But surprise, it isn’t nude. No make-up, what a cop out. Is it bad I kind of believe they changed the photoshoot concept purely because Erin wouldn’t have participated.

Okay, this shoot sounds a bit tacky. Not going to lie, was kind of excited for some tasteful nude shots. They are always done well.

Christina looks gorgeous, but the hair still ruins it. For such a soft shoot, it just seems jarring and awkward. Jeana and Shanice both do alright. Brendi looks gorgeous on set, her look is really growing on me. Unless everyone does good (or Sandra is suddenly out), maybe Brendi isn’t at risk. Kyla seems to do well, but I am sure it will be the same bland face.

Khrys looks good, but her facial expressions look slightly dramatic for my taste. Oh, Khrys was molested. Jesus, that is intense. I can’t imagine anything worse, it just upped my respect tenfold for Khrys.

Sandra looks gorgeous, hoping she nails this natural shoot. Rio too looks nice enough. With Erin last, she is the only one left to fail. She is seeming to do okay, maybe just Drew brings out the worst in the girls. I wish Tyra just took all the photoshoots.

And Drew is back...oh goody. More video shoots too, this show knows exactly what I want to see. Fun. I wonder if this will be a challenge, or if there will be two things judged at panel.

Drew’s story is touching. Ah, it is a challenge. Glad to see, don’t think I would want to rank something so personal. Yay, Stacey is coming later.

So Brendi and Christina working togehter...that will end well. Oh, Shanice too. That is going to go flawlessy. Then you have Kyla, Sandra and Khrys, then Jeana, Rio and Erin.

Wow, now Christina is saying she is bullied, right beside the two people she is essentially accusing of bullying. Maybe I was wrong, Christina’s edit is not going positive. There is actually a chance she may be going out this week.

The moment of filming is here. Why is Jeana wearing a wig. Oh, that is why. For the dramatic reveal. This screaming is intense, I have no clue what is going on, but it looks intense. I have no clue who is going to win this, all the shots are stunning. Though I maybe think it could be another win for Khrys and her crew.

Okay, the first video was okay. Khrys looked a bit more terrifying than vulnerable, but again the judges love her. Not as big a fan of the second video, though Jeana looked gorgeous. The final group’s video was easily the worst, it looked kind of cheap beside the other two. Yet somehow the judges love it...oh god, they are going to win.

And the winners are....group number 1, yay. That was my favourite, it really worked as an ad far better than the other two.

Okay it is time for panel. I honestly have no clue who is going home. I think Christina is at risk, along with Brendi and Erin. Part of me thinks this could be a non-elimination, since it was such an emotional week.

Time for panel, and as usual I won’t go into the specifics of the critiques. Though I will say, panel was so touching, this episode as a whole is definitely one of the strongest in a long while. Most shots were better than last weeks. The top for me belonged to Sandra, Kyla and Khrystyana, but despite most being stronger, there were definitely some I didn’t get the praise for. I mean what the judges saw in Rio and Shanice’s shot is beyond me.

I have to say there are only two models in risk after that: Erin and Christina. Either could end up going, and part of me thinks both could go together. I have no clue this week. As for first call-out...maybe Khrys again, maybe Kyla, maybe even someone random like Sandra or Brendi (though please not Shanice).

Okay time for the call-out. Brendi got first call-out, which I don’t necessarily agree with. Wait, is this like....is everyone going through....yep, everyone is through. Oh god, seven best photos. This is just completely ridiculous. What the hell is happening. I hated having two best photos last cycle, let alone 7.

As expected Erin and Christina are in the bottom 2. And Erin is staying in. I am not surprised, but not sure I agree. Christina’s photo this week was average, but her portfolio was stronger overall. Three weeks in a row with big characters gone. I am just waiting for the period where the cull begins.

Next week looks pretty cool, love the photoshoot idea. I definitely feel we need to start losing the bland characters. As much as I want to guess Brendi’s elimination again, I am actually leaning more towards Sandra now. Brendi is clearly in it for the long haul, and Sandra is the most invisible person left.

Cycle 24 Week 5

Time for another episode. Looking forward to this one, the photoshoot looks decent, and I can’t wait to see what drives Rio to insanity. Still not 100% who is going to be eliminated. I feel Christina is in trouble, and possibly Coura, as I just can’t see where her edit is going.

Yep, from that recap it definitely looks like Christina is going to be central to this episode. I am surprised they are showing so much of Liz, or is this just a ploy to set Sandra low before she shines. Yep, a lot of Sandra...now we are onto Coura, the other person at risk. I will say the editing is a little less obvious than the past few weeks.

Woop, it is Ashley. Time for the challenge. Nice to see Jeana standing up for who she represents, and understanding it is a far bigger market than just those with alopecia. Awww, this is such a sweet episode. Ooh, yep, Rio is getting photos. No clue where that puts her...maybe Rio is going to be eliminated instead of Coura? Or in the bottom 2 instead of Christina? Oooh, Christina calling herself more professional....not sure the evidence is there for that.

Okay, I’ll be honest. I have never heard of Patrick Starr before. Wow, more photos for Rio. And a sob story. Not as good as it being your own graduation day (poor Brooke) but it is something I guess.

So Khrys picks Coura and Brendi...not sure why Brendi, are those guys friends? Seems weird given Khrys was besties with Liz. Poor Rio with Christina. And then Liberty and Erin? They seem like they would totally get on. Sandra is really being forced down our throats this episode.

This is such a weird challenge, what are they doing. A chicken cutlet....really, I am so confused. My lack of knowledge of anything at all related to make-up is getting to me here, I have no clue what any of them are talking about.

Time for Rio and Christina. Rio is far more dynamic than Christina, Christina does have a very monotone delivery. Maybe Sandra beats Rio? That could be why she is pissed. Time for kyla and Jeana. Wow, she pulled it out of her bra, seems logical. Time for Sandra and Sha-nasty? What. Just, what. Sandra does come across as far more natural, I don’t know why Rio is so frustrated, she is doing well because she has a charm. Liberty and Erin, and of course Erin is bringing in her age. She is 42, not 80 for gods sake. My mum uses social media better than I do.

Finally we have Coura, Khrys and Jeana. Coura does speak very fast, but I think she has a good voice. If I had to pick my faves, I’d have gone for Rio, Sandra and Coura.

The way Christina says it doesn’t bother me kind of makes me think it does. And then Sandra wins, no surprise. Now cue Rio being a major bitch for no reason. First Shanice, and now Rio. Why is this house full of bad losers.

I actually forgot about Rio’s backstory, makes it more touching when they don’t shove it in our faces each episode. Rio’s blow-up still seems a bit dramatic. Interesting to see the Pantene ad, and the people featured who are left are Khrys and Liberty? Potential foreshadowing our winner...

Time for a jaunt over to the restaurant. Interesting to see how Shanice and Brendi getting along. Weird that they showed that now. Time for Rio’s blow up, let us see if Sandra does anything slightly annoying. Oh god, it is literally just her speech goes cruel. Wow, now she is talking about how the universe was speaking to her. This is ridiculous, I get being annoyed, but it isn’t like Rio has been undermarked in the competition. She has gotten solid call-outs, and the judges have given her so much praise. Sandra is the one who has gotten nothing but bad comments. Rio is being completely irrational here, she knows nothing about Sandra. Nice to see Erin control the girls, her mother skills coming into play.

Well glad that is over, in terms of awkward drama that just topped all of it. Okay, it turns out they show different scenes each time. But the people whose intro they showed stayed the same: Kyla, Khrys, Ivana, Rhiyan and Liberty. Okay, American ads are just ridiculous. Like why were there manatees in t-shirts...what does that have to do with anything.

Time for the photoshoot. Sandra’s reward is teaming up with Ashley. I feel like that is a disadvantage if anything. She has a much more significant chance of being overshadowed, but I will say Sandra, Ashley and Kyla will produce a stunning photograph.

First up is Coura, Rio and Jeana. Feel bad for Jeana, she has such an awkward pose to keep compared to the other two. All three look stunning, but Jeana catches my eye instantly. Wow, love it how Ashley is telling them what the others are doing wrong. This actually is a massive advantage.

Oooh, Brendi, Liberty and Khrys, this is going to be a gorgeous photograph. But we get to see none of that, and instead get Coura crying which essentially confirms she is out.

Time for Erin, Shanice and Christina...and Christina is getting photos of her past, so another signal she is in the bottom 2. This is easily the weakest so far. None of them stand out, and I hate how Christina’s hair looks.

And finally Sandra, Kyla and Ashley. Sandra does look absolutely stunning, as does Ashley. Rio is continuing to be bitter as. Way to be professional.

Now we are at panel, and I’ll get to the specifics in my rankings, but I have to say I am in love with Sandra’s shot, she actually holds up to Ashley. I will say Liberty, Khrys and Brendi did the best as a group for me, and then Christina, Shanice and Erin did the worst overall.

Wait...did we see any deliberations? I guess it is straight to this. Rio shouldn’t have gotten best photo, I hated her shot. It is amongst my least favourite individual shots...Sandra was robbed completely. What? She isn’t even second...this is absolutely ridiculous. Okay, now you have to be kidding me. 4th...really.

As expected we have Coura and Christina in the bottom 2. And bye-bye to Coura. It feels weird, like last episode saw Coura being featured far more. It feels like the wrong conclusion to the episode. Rio dominated when she shouldn’t, but I guess this signals that we are stuck with her. Awww, I feel so bad for her.

I feel a bit depressed after that episode, for me it didn’t make sense in the slightest. The editing felt confused. As for next week, I am kind of excited. Love the glamorous styling, the girls we saw looked gorgeous. Hope the photos match.

As for who is leaving, it is harder to tell now. Rio, Khrys, Jeana and Kyla are clearly going to be around for a long time, I don’t think Erin, Shanice or Sandra are quite going to be ready. That leaves Brendi, Liberty and Christina. Liberty was featured the most, and her edit could be set for a down-turn. But I have a weird feeling eliminating the two girls who got the first two first call-outs in a row would be odd, but it is a possibility. Also, I don’t think the fact she was featured heavily in the preview means anything, as her potential clash with the drag queens is probably one of the most exciting things...even if I don’t think it will amount to anything significant. Christina could go out, but that would be the exact same trajectory as Coura had (bottom two, then out next week), so it would be a bit odd. That leaves Brendi...whose edit sort of softened this week, so I could potentially see her time being up. I would probably say my top 2 picks were Liberty and Brendi.

Cycle 24 Week 4

Hey guys, back for another episode, and I have a feeling this one will be interesting. Still thinking Liz is either going to quit or being eliminated outside of panel, and then Rhiyan will either be eliminated, or potentially eliminated but saved because she didn’t quit.

Still a bit sad to see Ivana go. Ooh, emphasis on Liz being psycho and Coura being complimented, so I think Coura will flop, Rhiyan will flop and Liz will quit. Sandra didn’t get any focus, so I doubt she is going, even if she may underperform. Still love Liberty’s video.

Coura gets first confessional, and photos from past. She is definitely in the bottom 2 this week. Liz and Brendi drama is considering. Kind of forgot that happened. Khrys looks so awkward with Liz again, poor girl. Like Christina being the voice of reason, good to see more developed character from her. And nice to see Liz being the bigger person.

Ugh, hate acting challenges. Rhiyan is bad....and she really reminded me of Chris from Cycle 15 in that shot. Weird.

Yay, love seeing Stacey (though still team Miss J...in fact, just bring them both and cut Law and Drew). Have no clue who any of these people are, as usual. I feel like I recognise Kevin Phillips, but then again with the amount of TV shows I watch, I have probably seen like every actor currently alive.

Awww, cute confessional for Khrys. Still the clear winner for me, always getting at least some focus. Liz is awkward, she is too dramatic. As expected. I mean...what am I watching. Rhiyan is better than expected, I don’t know what the guy’s problem is...though he probably knows more than I do. I love Khrys’ accent so much...she is just so adorable, and is actually kind of amazing.

Erin is alright, Kyla, Brendi, and Sandra flash before our eyes. Basically it is clear Khrys is going to win since they are flashing through pretty much everyone. Ooh, Coura does look gorgeous in that dress. And she flops, of course. And then flash right through Jeana, Christina, Rio and Liberty, so none of them. Right now it is Khrys 100%, with Shanice being the only one left. She is altering the script...not sure that would be allowed in an actual job, but of course it would be praised here. My money is still on Khrys. Yep, Khrys wins, and unlike the runway one, I 100% agree with this win.

Still love how Khrys always looks so incredibly awkward when she is with Liz. How did Liz not know her presence was overwhelming...that is like her whole thing. So excited for this photoshoot, hoping this is going to be the Supermarket photoshoot of this cycle. Aka. stunning and crazy results.

The scene with Rhiyan is worrying...she is easily the most stunning girl in the cast, her body is absolutely perfect right now. Awww, I feel so bad for Rhiyan, I don’t want her to go but she is totally getting that edit.

Liz is not coming across well in this episode. I was hoping she would be funny...rather than just...crazy. Also, as the adverts play (which are so odd, and long), I love how Sandra was shown so much in the preview, putting her as a possible eliminee, but then she hasn’t been shown at all. That basically 100% says Rhiyan is going home, especially if Liz actually goes through with quitting.

Absolutely love the styling for this photoshoot, the whole set is gorgeous too. These photos better be amazing. Though those outfits do not look comfortable at all.

Sandra is up first, and again she flops. I just want at least one good shot from her. Khrys looks gorgeous on set, I have a feeling another angelic shot is coming up. Rhiyan is definitely going out, such a waste of potential.

Christina actually gets compliment, hoping we get a stunning shot here. Kyla looks gorgeous, and seems quite expressive. Rio’s face is different, finally. Have to say I hate Brendi’s outfit, not got a lot of hope for her shot...Jeana too actually.

Shanice’s outfit is gorgeous, and she looks absolutely regal on set. Maybe she is going to end up with first. Liberty looks pretty, but I preferred Shanice. Erin looks awkward to me.

Ah, Liberty has finally replaced Khrys as the awkward onlooker to Liz’s manic. She performs though, too bad she is going to quit. I hope we still get to see her shot...would be such a waste otherwise.

Coura does look out of place, but her body is absolutely killer. The girl is right, the look is amazing, but Coura is not working it in the slightest. I am now definitely set out Rhiyan out, and Coura in the bottom 2 with her. Also, back to the madness of American adverts...like is carry-out insurance an actual thing...is that something that happens commonly enough for Dominoes to have to offer to give you another pizza if you drop it...also, what stops people saying they dropped it. Do they need to bring back the pizza they dropped? So many questions...so few answers...

Oooh, time for Liz’s freak out. Kind of on Liz’s side here, as someone who needs and loves their sleep, when it is after 12, try ot be quiet. Oh no, it is time. She is leaving. Still love Khrys for being there with her. Such a sweet girl. Now is the moment of truth, will she quit or not? She didn’t...hmm, I don’t know what is going to happen. Wow Tyra is here before she even got made up. Wait, maybe she is quitting. I have no clue what is happening...oh, she is quitting. I think she made the right choice, if she is this messed up after like a few weeks, imagine what would happen after months. Sad we didn’t get to see her shot though.

Tyra is serving Wednesday Addams realness, and I am actually loving it. Oh, more adverts already. Okay. We are back, time to find out whether Rhiyan is out. Like every other week, I’ll leave the critiques of shots and critiques of the critiques to my rankings. This is a decent set of photos though, not my personal taste though. Not quite as brilliant as the supermarket shoot, but pretty strong. My instant favourites are Khrystyana, Christina and....Liberty (so sorry, but I am not promising anything for this episodes ranking), and then I have to say there were no awful shots, but Brendi, Coura and Erin all stood out in a bad way.

Okay, time for call-out. I kind of agree with Khrys getting top, she was pretty strong, and got another challenge win. And just as expected, Coura and Rhiyan in the bottom 2....with Rhiyan being eliminated. I don’t think it was deserved, her photo wasn’t awful, and there were other girls who had been underperforming more than her, who also had less potential (namely Brendi).

As for next week, love the look of the photoshoot. And love the drama, looks like Sandra will be grating on people, so I feel she will do really well next week, and be a sudden dark horse...but then eliminated suddenly. As for who is actually in trouble...I am really unsure. Part of me thinks there is maybe a non-elimination, but Coura may be in trouble, as I am not sure where her edit could go, and then maybe Christina or Shanice. I really have no clue for next elimination, and if I had to guess, I’d say no one...or Coura...I have no clue...

Cycle 24 Week 3 - Extra

Just wanted to add a little bit extra here, as I found out something kind of sad. Stacey McKenzie was meant to be in this episode, but her scenes were cut. Who in their right mind was editing this and decided to give us more scenes of Law, and cut Stacey. She is far superior to him in every way.

Cycle 24 Week 2

Like last week this is just a brief recap of my thoughts. I’ll be writing it as I go through the episode, but feel free to ask me about anything I don’t specifically mention here, it might just have slipped by me unnoticed.

Firstly loving the new intro, though annoyed half the shots shown are better than the stills they showed as the promo. The two who stand out most from this are Coura and Liberty for me, though Sandra, Ivana and Jeana also look quite nice. The music is also great, love the mix of the classic, but keeping the sleakness of Cycle 23.

Oh, Maggie is getting a heavy first confessional, plus photos from home. Things are not looking good for her. Loving Sandra’s confessional, she is just so adorable. Ooh, Coura and Sandra both bitching about her, definitely not good.

Ooh, Brendi sob-story too, if we didn’t already see her makeover, she would be another contender.

Good to hear Tyra mail again. Though she could have at least changed her clothes from the first episode, either she is a bit of a slob, or these are going to be like last cycle, and filmed in a massive bunch.

Glad to see Stacey McKenzie back, while Miss J would be my first choice for runway coach, she is a solid alternative. Also glad to be in Los Angeles, New York just meant a lot of stuffy inside photoshoots. Hopefully we will get some outdoor stuff.

Maggie’s walk is incredibly plain like her. Rhiyan and Shanice both have a lot of potential for runway, and solid walks. Christina too. Not too sure about Khrys, Stacey seemed to love it, for me it was a bit pedestrian, and too hippy. Erin’s is another solid walk. Liberty bland at first, but she rocked it the second time. Coura is runway QUEEN, her walk is one of the best I have seen. Kyla and Sandra both alright...and then Liz is just a mess. Rio is alright, same with Brendi. Jeana’s is KILLER, if only she was taller. Ivana’s is another mess, the plus-size contestants are not really killing it in the runway department.

Definitely think Coura and Jeana are the strongest off the get-go, we shall see if that translate into the actual show. Liberty and Rhiyan could give them a run for the top.

Ugh, Law...my least favourite judge. Really just don’t get what he brings to the competition.

Okay time fir the actual runway. I have to say I really love this fashion, absolutely gorgeous. Nice prize, good to see real life jobs as rewards.

Okay Rhiyan is first. She is quite strong, seems calm and composed. Jeana kills it again. Erin is alright. Liz is less of a mess than expected. Still not great, but better. Shanice is alright too. Brendi looks great, but that mistake...ooh, not great. Surprised she is the first to fail a bit. Sandra looks amazing, but a bit boring. Khrys is just flopping from side to side, not impressed. Don’t know why they are loving it. Christina has a nice edge. Coura slays it as expected. Kyla is alright, and Liberty is solid, if a bit stiff in the shoulders. Ivana...not great, missing the entire thing completely is such a rookie mistake. Maggie is quite plain too, not impressed. Rio is another alright, but I think her first walk was better.

Overall my favourite was Coura, she just slayed. Jeana, Christina and Rhiyan were my other favourites. As for the worst...I think the Ivana, Brendi and Khrys flopped for me, none were amazing.

Wow...can’t believe Khrystyana won...I love her, but her walk and pose was just a big flop. Coura was absolutely robbed.

Oooh, I feel drama coming on. Oh, Brendi is yelling at people. They have been there for like 3 minutes, and already fighting. Oh, home photos from Brendi too. Damn, if only they hadn’t ruined this episode in the previews, then maybe the end would be surprising. She is probably heading for a bottom 2 appearence.

Short but sweet from Tyra mail this time. Time to get some creepy pregnancy photos taken, this shoot has to be up there with ANTM’s most bizarre concepts. Even their justification of the shoot is dire, this is just terrible.

Rio really suits long hair, she does look gorgeous here. Nice to see her have some variety. Khrys looks almost angelic. Oh, Rhiyan’s story is so sad, I really hope she kills it, and it looks like she does.

Maggie seems to flop a bit, her poses are so forced. She needs to learn how to adapt, not every creative will fit her personality. Erin does look gorgeous, though the home sick thing just isn’t working. She needs to be professional, hoping she gets warned, any other model would. I see a potential first call-out though, sob story and strong performance.

Ivana is alright, she looked a bit awkward to me. Christina and Shanice seemed to do okay. Liz does look gorgeous on shoot. Liberty’s dress is stunning, feel like she may have my favourite set. Jeana killed it too, sexy seems to be natural for her, and Kyla seemed alright for the like 3 seconds we saw her.

Okay, I changed my mind, Sandra had my favourite set-up. She was stunning to me, Coura too was beautiful. Love the lace on her skin.

Oh, Brendi...I don’t know what to say about this, but power to her for surviving that tragedy. I really wish she performed better on set, glad to know she isn’t eliminated at least, though I definitely this she will be in the bottom 2.

Okay, time for panel. No clue why Tyra is going for the cheap Greek goddess vibe, totally looks like a costume.

I’ll leave the critiques of the individual photos for my rankings, but my instant favourites on first glance are Rio, Liberty and Jeana, and my least favourites are Kyla, Ivana and Brendi, but these may change on closer inspection. I will say the results are a lot stronger than I was expecting. Also, glad to see physical photos being brought back, last cycle’s call-outs just felt wrong...

Surprised at Coura getting first call-out, did not expect that at all. The shot is alright, so not that mad. Though I do wish Rio or Jeana had gotten it. Bottom 2 as expected, and Maggie eliminated as expected. Wasn’t in love with her, but I don’t think she should have been first out. To be honest Brendi or Ivana would have been my eliminees, both failed in both aspects of the episode.

Overall it was a solid episode, seemed to be a lot more back in ANTM’s roots. Nice to see some small details back, like physical photos, or the fade out at the end. The call-out seemed a bit bizarre, some who got praise were so low, and others who were citicised were called high, and Maggie probably didn’t deserve to go.

As for next time, nice to see some drama with Christina, and so excited to see makeovers. Hoping the music video will be better than last season’s.
