Introducing: CyberHunt AU.

Meet the Hunters, a group of bounty hunters/hitmen/whatever they're told to do. This AU takes place in a post apoc cyberpunk world. The hunters are a group "run" by the mega-company Perimeter™. And they are not publicly known... at all. It's only a lil corrupt.

Grian : The recently appointed manager who only applied because he thought it'd be fun to be in charge.. He regrets his decision for he didn't realize how work heavy it was. Begged Martyn to come back and be boss again, but he refused. Roommates with Mumbo.

Mumbo: our lovely base bound nerd. Despite being the tallest and most "intimidating-looking" (well- according to corporate at least), he's absolutely not very skilled in the face of a fight. Does not know how to use a gun properly. Roommates with Grian.

Scar: long range sniper. He's also brought on a lot of missions that require any form of diplomacy for he seems to be able to charm his way out of literally anything. He's the typa guy to do absolutely perfect in a fight then get hurt on the way home.

Cub: the more combat skilled nerd. Mains with explosives such as grenades and bombs. Multiple times the lab has blown up. Enjoys pranking Scar with very low level explosives (such as a firecracker) but makes it look extremely intimidating. Often hides it in his desk.

Jimmy: haha loser boy get rekt idiot. Just kidding I'm not gonna mischaracterize him like that. He's shockingly charismatic in a silly kinda way that really helps in peaceful missions. He isn't horrible in combat but he's rather clumsy. Grian messes with him and gives him really annoying missions, because yknow, for funsies.

Gem: The newest member, the "muscle". She was probably the best freelance hit (wo)man in the city, then she joined the Hunters after being recruited(aka asked over and over again) by Perimeter higher ups. Over works herself sometimes but she's just not quite used to teamwork just yet.

Oblivion au question:

If they do put Li Jing in the parent mindset, and make Nezha a ‘kid’ again, that still leaves the question of Nezha’s mother and Li Jing’s wife. Lady Yin.

I never really got a clear answer to where the hell she is, or if she’s even alive?? So would Mk instead give Li Jing a new partner to give Nezha another parent/mother figure?

Like say, a certain lion?

I mean idk where Lady Yin would be in a purported bad end where Xiaotian somehow grabs the entire Li family (and i mean we're not even accounting for His brothers here like Nezha's the THIRD prince he's got older brothers, Jinzha and Muzha deserve to be in the story too if we're plotting out how the whole family gets got haha)

I will say though, Lady Yin would probably just be given the PIF treatment, allowed to just be Oblivion'd enough to not fight off and then just let her live in peace somewhere, she's always been doing her best bless her

But as for Azure he's actually already accounted for Sorry to say, if Xiaotian gets hold of Wukong he has it planned that he and Azure are gonna 'get back together' because Azure had had the wrong impression on his relationship with Wukong and had presumed they were sweethearts, so he had relayed that to Xiaotian whom thus said 'i ship it'

he has it planned that Azure would eventually 'get back' with Wukong. And our current plan with things where they are- Wukong currently set free from mind control and left on the mountain hidden away with Macaque, the Generals and Marshals, Sanzang, and Lady Ishtar of Sumer (there's some American Gods Mythology blending at this point) is, to Xiaotian, lost to lies, and will probably need his brain broken in a more 'wife'-like way like Red Son currently has and Azure should be prepared to take care of him

It was hard to rip Syntax away from his son after what happened. Iron Fan’s manipulation of the Queen and the Queen’s attempted attack on Xiaotian left a foul taste in their mouths and the nerd was extra protective as a result.

While they were upset at their majesty, they remained loyal to her after she tried desperately to make up for it and they were more mad at Iron Fan.

Too bad they couldn’t track her, much to Huntsman’s frustration.

The spider gang had spent time in hiding, trying to recover from the events. Syntax finally allowed his son to go when Goliath and Xiaotian suggested that he and Spider Queen run a food truck to bond. Reluctantly all parties agreed and Huntsman managed to convince Syntax that they should go out for their first real date. Just in time for Lunar New Years.

The two (in human form) walked together hand in hand through the bustling streets. Syntax had a bag of plushes that Huntsman won for him.

Huntsman pressed a kiss against his cheek. “Can’t believe I managed to convince you to stop calling Xiaotian for five seconds.”

“Well you can be convincing, brute. I should-”

“Don’t even think about it. We’re having a good date here.”

“Alright. Fine. Where should we go now?”

“Don’t know. Somewhere to watch the fireworks I guess. Maybe have a kiss when they go off,” he suggested with a wink.

His partner’s cheeks flushed and gave him a light smack on the chest. “That sounds nice, brute. Lead the way.”

Huntsman bowed. “As you wish, your highness,” he said and held out a hand.

Syntax grabbed it with an eye roll. “I’m not the queen.”

“But you’re royalty in my eyes.”

Syntax stuttered and the green blush on his face grew. “Shut up.”

“Now come on. Let’s go somewhere private,” he purred out.

They made their way to a secluded spot, bickering ringing in the air. “Perfect spot. We can do some other activities while waiting,” the hunter suggested while waggling his brows.

“Sorry to interrupt your moment,” a voice said. The spiders got into a fighting stance then screeched as they were trapped by a rope. Their prizes fell from their hands.

They looked to see Yin and Jin standing there with smug grins. Huntsman smirked. “Oh, it’s you two idiots. Do you really think you capture us?”

Syntax snickered. “They’re like two run down computers.”

The hunter struggled against the ropes when they were zapped by electricity. “What?”

“Who are two run down computers now?” Yin asked.

The nerd examined the ropes, trying to find ways to get out of it. He attempted to slip out of them when he received another bolt of electricity. “We can’t break out.”

“What do you mean we can’t break out? You mean these two idiots managed to capture us? Fucking great.”

Jin said, “We’re not idiots anymore. We’ve grown and we got someone who wants to see you.”

As they were dragged away, Huntsman huffed and said, “We’re pretty fucking cursed, huh?”

Syntax shrugged. “I’ve actually been on worse dates.”

“Really?”

“Yes, I’ll tell you all about it.”

So i got re-tagged by @unseelie-robynx to talk more about one of our other homebrew'd lmk next gen but several centuries later' characters (also i'm not re-tagging cuz there should be SOME surprises in this AU sequel lmao)

So as promised here's our currently unnamed Bestie Character of the Lost Princess AU

Now her story is much less complicated in describing how she got here, very simply, there are forms of magical conception available to Yaoguai, and long and short of it- she's a Cyberhunt kid.

So basically after Huntsman had gotten his brain back after being the Rebellion Martyr when his sting in mind-jail was abruptly ended by Syntax going 'nah fuck this' and saving him maybe before what would have been considered a safe time to do so, the two grew closer until ultimately getting together.

And since for magical 'a fertility goddess decided she likes them' reasons she basically said 'so spiders have REALLY HIGH infancy mortality rates for some sort of glitch in biology, but i'm a fertility goddess so fuck that y'all can have as many kids as you want'

so they had a BUNCH

And Ya Girl Here is one of the younger ones (the spider brood are many in number but for the most part mature at a rate relative to humans and then just clip to spider aging once they hit their prime so it's p. easy to sort of just, make it a steady clip) and is very much her fathers' daughter. Quite adept at magitech as it's developed over the years, she's the resident know-how in the group.

her weapon of choice is a sort of 'kinda a kusarigama' type thing where she'll take bladed weapons and then attach them to lines of spider silk to turn into ranged weapons. it's fun.

She met Zhenjun in college when they both ended up in the Cheer Team (yes the hero group is a bunch of cheerleaders) and is the single braincell of the group

A15. “Oh there you are! I thought you had melted through the floor.” “I had plans to do that but then I called them off.” A62. “You’re smiling.” B73. “Your smile is beautiful.”

Huntsman wasn’t one for feelings, feelings could make you weak, vulnerable, people could take advantage of you for the slightest hint of weakness so he made sure to never be weak. He was Huntsman after all, he was strong, tough.

The only person he let see his walls drop around were Goliath and that was on rare occasions. That all changed when two people entered his life during his and Goliath’s endeavor to free the Spider Queen. Xiaotian and Syntax had changed him, not that he would admit it to them. Syntax was already smug enough with his big brained talk.

“Growing soft, Huntsman” was what he would hear from the nerd spider.

They, like Goliath, on occasion managed to get past his walls and thanks to Xiaotian, he had grown a paternal side to him that he didn’t even know he had. And because of Syntax, he fell in love.

And love and fatherly qualities made you vulnerable. After all if his enemies knew, he could use the two against him. Not that anyone would be able to touch the two. They could handle themselves as they’ve proven time and time again.

He would be lying though if his enemies were the only reasons he refused to show vulnerability. Syntax was the second reason.

The other was prideful and he had a reason to be, it was one of the reasons he had begun to fall in love with him and there were so many. Syntax could be rather soft at times and it made his heart melt with the way he treated his son with care. Sometimes the other would fall asleep during one of his big projects, his goggles askew with tousled hair. His eyes lit up with passion as he went on rants about things that Huntsman couldn’t begin to understand.

Syntax was kinda wonderful but he knew if he gave his heart out then the other would stomp on it and shred it to pieces, holding his feelings over him forever, his pride growing as he made fun of the hunter for developing them.

It would crush him, make him susceptible and in private, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to recover from the other’s rejection.

So he made sure to never say anything.

It’s not like it was his first time falling in love, he had fallen in love plenty of times before. He had also had a numerous amount of hookups throughout the years which hadn’t waned but Syntax wasn’t a hookup, what he felt for him was way stronger than he had felt for anyone. Plus the other had better things to worry about.

Either way, he was going to keep his mouth shut, save himself the trouble.

He crossed his arms, thinking to himself in their home when he heard footsteps behind him. He turned around to see the object of his affections running up to him.

“Oh there you are! I thought you had melted through the floor,” the other said.

“I had plans to do that but then I called them off,” he snarked.

The other rolled his eyes, his lips threatening to quirk upwards but maintaining his neutral face. “I need you to do something for me.”

“Great. What would that be?”

“I need you to help me move some spare parts.”

He smirked. “Let me guess, your weak, nerd arms can’t pick anything up.”

“No,” he yelled. “I just don’t want to make more trips than I have to.”

“What about Goliath and the brat? You could have them help you.”

“Don’t call our son a brat.” Huntsman tilted his chin downwards to hide his blush at Syntax’s subconscious acknowledgement of Xiaotian being their kid. “And they’re both out at the moment and I’m not bothering the Queen for this.”

“Fine. Guess I don’t have a choice.”

“You don’t.”

Syntax dragged him by the arm to a pile of boxes filled with parts. “Here.”

“You owe me for this.”

“After all the trouble you constantly put me through and the annoyances, I don’t owe you anything.”

Huntsman winced, that slightly hurt but he was tough so he ignored it. “Well after protecting your sorry ass multiple times, I deserve it.”

“Uh huh.”

They lingered in silence as they picked up the boxes and brought them to the nerd’s lab. Once they finished, Huntsman asked, “What is this stuff for anyway?”

The spider lit up at the question. “Well I am planning on making a vehicle for the group. It requires-”

He rambled on and on about stuff the hunter didn’t get, his mouth forming a beautiful smile that left the other smiling back. Syntax’s movements were fast paced as he excitedly explained how it was going to work.

Fingers snapped in front Huntsman’s face. “Are you even listening to me, dolt?”

“Yea, I am.”

“Mhmm. You’re smiling.”

“Am I not allowed to smile?”

“No but you’re grinning like a madman.”

“I can’t help it. You were smiling too and your smile is beautiful,” he blurted out in a moment of weakness.

The nerd stuttered, “Wh-what?”

“Nothing! I’m going to sharpen my blade!” He ran off in a hurry.

“Huntsman!”

They didn’t see each other for the rest of the day until Huntsman heard voices emitting from the lab. He peeked in to see Syntax talking to Xiaotian with a big smile, it wasn’t surprising, that was his kid after all.

“He called my smile beautiful,” Syntax stated.

“That’s great, dad!”

“I know it is!”

Huntsman grinned, guess the slipped up compliment managed to make him happy. Huntsman wouldn’t mind more “slip ups” like that if he could see the other’s smile. Maybe a moment of weakness wasnt so bad.

General 4. “(She’s/he’s they’re) just a friend.” “We used to be ‘just friends’ too.”

Huntsman’s lips quivered to form a smile as he observed the interaction between Xiaotian and Syntax. Syntax was ruffling the boy’s hair after a bit of scolding. The boy had thrust himself into danger and needed someone to get him out of it.

That job fell to the inventor this time. It was cute to watch the nerd get all huffy. Not that Huntsman would confess to poking fun at him to get reactions that made his heart melt. He was only doing it because he found amusement in his reactions.

Steps clicked behind him and Goliath appeared by his side. “Staring at Syntax again I see,” the giant one teased. “You really have it bad.”

Huntsman waggled his head in annoyance. “Quiet, Goliath! He’s just a friend!”

“We used to be ‘just friends’ too,” he pointed out.

And the hunter fell silent. It was true they dated back then. It was a nice relationship at first. They chatted, went on dates, normal couple stuff but it just didn’t seem right.

It was then they decided they were better off as friends and while there were lingering feelings and awkward tension, they returned to their normal relationship in time.

Goliath continued, “All I’m saying is you should just go for it.”

“Not gonna happen. I do not have feelings.”

“You can try to deny that but they’re clear as day. I know you too well. You should tell him.”

The hunter muttered, “He doesn’t feel the same way.”

“He does. You haven’t seen what I seen. The way he looks at you is pure love.”

“What do you know?”

“More than you. You two could be happy together if you confessed.”

“No. It’s not the right time. We need to help the queen take over the world then maybe I’ll do it.”

“You don’t know for certain when the Queen will take over the world. It might take ages.”

“She’s capable with us by her side! And even if it does take ages then it will put off me saying something.”

Goliath stared at him. “Are you really willing to wait? What if by the time we achieve world domination that Syntax falls in love with someone else?”

Huntsman’s mouth went dry and jealousy coursed through his veins as he thought about someone else with Syntax. “No. I guess I’m not willing in that case.”

“Then say something. It won’t turn out like you think.”

“I’ll… I’ll think about it.”

Goliath started to walk away. “That’s all I ask.”

Without looking at him, he nodded and said, “Thanks, old friend.”

“No problem.”

Huntsman focused his attention back on the scene where Xiaotian was passing Syntax’s parts for a latest invention. An invention Xiaotian was definitely not to touch.

Syntax thanked his son for assisting him. It was nice to see the nerd being so soft and sweet to his child.

Maybe that same sweetness could be directed to him. If he ever got the courage to confess.

This idea kinda popped into my head but, how would Cyberhuntshipping work with Min Yi involved? I’d like to think she would love having a cool spider Step-Dad but would Huntsman even be prepared for Fatherhood? Would he even want to be? And how does Aunt Sis feel about her brother dating one of the people who Kidnapped him? - Pixel Anon

it's funny bc I've actually been considering Cyberhunt as a ship for the Minyi plotline (I've got four proposed ships rn and i'm jokingly calling them the 'Huntsman is a Slut' Quad bc they all include him in some way)

If i were to go with Cyberhunt, it would be that he and Syntax were only kinda a thing before Syntax reunited with his family. Like, a 'with benefits' relationship. Nothing that either of them considered particularly serious (though Huntsman was quietly relieved when the woman that was living in Syntax's apartment and taking care of his daughter was just his older sister) and for awhile they cut off, on the level of 'things are a bit crazy right now it's easier for everyone if we just dial it back'

and 'with benefits' relationships aren't really something you tell family members about until they're not 'with benefits' anymore and are just relationships. So they just... keep it to themselves.

And Huntsman is as Not Ready and Not Desiring to take up becoming a caretaker for Minyi as it can get... But unfortunately there is no escape.

It means a strange amount to Syntax (Strange for Huntsman at least) that he's able to handle himself around Minyi in this particular setup, so he keeps getting saddled with the kid anyway. And then you know, reluctant bonding as is how it already always goes for him. He HATES how it's happening and he can practically FEEL it making him soft; but it's too damn late and he's starting to sit with her for her stupid cartoon movies and listening to her babble about mysteries and dammit now he KNOWS what kids eat so he has no excuse to not pick something up for her while he's out grabbing snacks (Human meat) for everyone else.

(I'm literally imagining the classic 'nah these bitches eat people' setup with Huntsman bringing back meat for the others and presents Minyi a fucking lunchable or smth)

the fact that their 'relationship' starts kicking back into gear being directly proportional with Huntsman slowly starting to get slotted into the 'reluctant caretaker' role is one that they probably don't aknowlege.

But also, I've decided just now that that one drabble is now fully canon to this storyline, bc Huntsman is the only one at the moment that knows that Min Yi feels extremely pressured to 'not cause problems' by her teachers and her friends' parents lest it fuck with her family's already abysmal reputation, so while Aunt Sis and Syntax don't necessarily buy the whole 'i'm totally fine with all of this ahahahaha just keep the queen away from me' thing, they kinda just let her have it, assuming it's Minyi wanting some semblance of control over her life that she currently doesn't have, but Huntsman can just say 'Bullshit' and press her a bit more when neither of them are around. Which ironically means he's kind of there for her emotionally on a level she refuses to let anyone else get on?

Soon enough when Huntsman and Syntax are resting after certain -ahem- activities, and some shuffling and quiet sniffling is picked up by either set of demon senses, And Syntax is blearily getting out of bed to check on his daughter, his fucking 'with benefits' is pressing him back into the blankets and mumbling 'I've got her, get some sleep'

Minyi knows they're in love long before they're actually dating. She doesn't even think it's a secret, she just thinks thats how grownup love works. (at some point it's gonna be like 'daddy i need to investigate this restaurant for a case; someone lost their dinosaur plushie and the restaurant people say it's theirs now' 'Honey, Is this your way of saying you wanna go out to eat tonight?' 'Huh? No i won't even be eating? Maybe we should take Uncle Huntsman too so you guys can have a date while i investigate' '......sorry repeat that?')

And as for Aunt Sis, homegirl's been holding all the Spider's at arm's length for awhile, she's sleeping with a hatchet by her bed just in case. She's also very slow to bond with these guys, Xiuying holds a damn grudge because how could she not?

I would argue not wanting these people anywhere near her family anymore isnt actually all that unreasonable a desire, granted they kidnapped her little brother, mutated him, brainwashed him until he forgot she and his own fucking DAUGHTER even EXISTED, and let them both think he was dead. And now that he's back still call on him for helping 'the clan' and You can say no, for heaven's sake little brother you can say no!

I feel like there'd be more of an emotional blowout with Xiuying and the Spider Boys, She tries to not make it her brother's PROBLEM that she can't stand these people having to be in her life, since his head is already so messed up and drilled with holes she can't hold it against him that he feels some loyalty to these people, but it's gonna boil over.

And it's probably gonna be when she finds out her brother is DATING one of them.

And she's gonna have NO Qualms in letting Huntsman know how much she DOESN'T want him around her brother, her neice, or their family in general. Haven't you spiders done enough damage?

Aight so we know Swap Au Peachpig gonna be like, maybe one more stressful event from someone bursting out the 'dammit ive been in love with you for LITERAL CENTURIRES' we know the Jasminetea is gonna be a very long and painful road. But like, i can imagine Cyberhunt getting together like... literally an hour after the events of the season one finale.

Like, MK just got attacked by their queen bc PIF kept whispering doubts in her ear about what kind of loyalties does a human have with spiders anyway or smth, all three of them save their collective kid and SQ assumes mutiny until they snap her out of it.

Then theyre somewhere safer, SQ is reeling over whatever PIF did to her, and Syntax was checking security of their location. Just as he finishes up he turns to fuss over his son make sure hes ok, and Huntsman's already beaten him there. MK is sulkily accepting it like he does when Syntax is the one fussing, the whole "im letting this happen but im not happy about it" song and dance. And it all just fucking clicks into place at once.

The moment Huntsman's had his fill of protective hovering Syntax plants one on him right there.

"Fuckin FINALLY, pay up Uncle Goliath i had money on 'after a life threatening experience'"

I actually didn’t know how Cyberhunt was going to get together yet and you figured it out amazingly well!

This is definitely going in the au, anon! That’s the perfect way for them to start their relationship.

After snapping out SQ out of PIF’s manipulation, the two check on their son and make sure he’s safe where Huntsman, despite how much he tries to hide it (and probably fails at that), does really care about all of them.

MK getting hurt at the hand of the Spider Queen was the final point where he shows how terrified he is and makes sure the kid is safe by looking over him. And Syntax decides after that, after experiencing something like that, he’s done with hiding his feelings and decides to finally kiss him.

And you’re definitely right that MK and Goliath have a bet on how it would happen.

Chara and Asriel were both revived, but Chara and Frisk have very... differing views on exactly who is responsible for some... certain timelines... And unfortunately for Chara, Frisk got to tell their story first. Chara ends up running into an unlikely dynamic duo, and finds before too long, that they aren't bereft of having people in their corner. Another human child, and the possible dog-monster that acts as his father are very invested in helping them out.

This is a project that had been hatched between myself and @gererrin, we rewrote the entirety of Miraculous Ladybug in the span of 4 seasons, serializing the narrative while also letting many episodes exist in standalone format, focused more on worldbuilding and character arcs, and also a healthy dose of queer characters, polyamory, and an actual sliding threat scale

if you know me for anything from LMK it's probably this fic series/AU Basis.

A second Porty Clone had been summoned and slipped away during a battle set in the indeterminate future, and comes into possession of a very dangerous magical artifact; a record with the ability to brainwash demons, and he's got his sights set on a certain fire demon he knows his creator is sweet on

(this is a psychological horror so mind the warnings, also there's a bad ending that's bore quite a lot of fruit)

This is a splinter of the Oblivion AU, more specifically the Bad End version where Porty Clone was able to make Xiaotian believe that this whole thing is Good Actually.

Xiaotian is the actual son of Sun Wukong, MK on the other hand doesn't remember much of anything of his own past from before he worked at Pigsy's Noodles, he's not the only one with memory issues.

This isn't TECHNICALLY an AU, but it's the main story for my OC, a six year old child detective named Wong Minyi, looking for her missing Father and getting into schenanigans in the world of Magic and monsters and solving some mysteries while she's there. (Syntax her father is Syntax this is not a secret) (also here's Minyi's general character tag if you just want more information on her)

The Lady Bone Demon is replaced as the major antagonist with the Yeerk empire. a mishmash of Animorphs and Monkey Kid plotlines full of new allies new enemies, and the horrors of War and such

Well it can't all be sad in here, this is my token patented Civillian AU, The Flower Fruit Theatre is one of the most popular shoestring budget theaters in the city, entertaining the masses with reasonably priced musicals with casts of college students and some old greats only slightly past their prime, they also find themselves in a one-sided rivalry with the most expensive hoity toity 'musicals are for fools' theatres in the city, the Bull King's Chambermen.
