ClarkxBrainy Week2024 Day 4

Last of my Clark x Brainy Week 2024 stuff until I get around to the really late pic I wanted to make for crossover day.

Day 4 was time, I guess in a sense you could say this is a mix of day 2 which is reflection. Here's a link to a pic from 2021 that I feel fits reflection, might one day redraw it to be current version of Brainy.

This is Clark & Brainy over the years, at one point my friend Vincent suggesting giving Brainy short hair & I later got inspired by My Adventures with Superman for some of the designs.

This is meant to take place after season 2's finale & after the events of my oneshot "Let's try again" were Brainy is convinced to return to the legion & let them help him.(Plus Clark convincing his friends to let him visit occasionally) Clark & Brainy enjoying their new relationship but Brainy is still struggling with the guilt of his part in the events leading to the season 2 finale along with other issues he tried to push to the back of his mind at some point finally surfacing. He's let his hair grow out* & has been trying to style it occasionally, he's happy because things are going better & he gets to be with Clark but at the same time he feels lost & is dealing with some self-loathing.

*Slight callback to in the past when I had older/post-season 2 Brainy grow his hair out again before back in 2023 I ended up giving him short hair like my friend suggested

This is the point when Clark & Brainy were separated for a while. Clark wasn't able to visit for a while due to stuff in his personal life which was unfortunate timing as Brainiac 6/the remains of Brainy's cybernetics came back into the picture. At some point Brainy sacrificed himself by pushing himself & Brainiac 6 into a portal with no one able to find him. This is Clark's reaction to learning his boyfriend went missing with no chance of recovery.

This is around the time Brainy reunites with Clark, Brainy ended up in the past & luckily had a device that hid his appearance.(He made his appearance have tanned skin & dark hair) At some point he cut his hair & became a bit more out going than he use to be, he has some issues still but is in a better head space than when he sacrificed himself. Clark didn't know it was him & in fact this Brainy possibly overlapped with past Clark before Brainy went missing. Brainy eventually told Clark who he was & they started working on getting use to each other again. They at some point told the others about Brainy being alive but due to having a life in the past now & wanting to stay with Clark he just visits on occasion instead of returning to the future. At a later point Clark & Brainy with help from the Justice League defeated Brainiac 6.

Further into the future, Clark & Brainy have a family & while Clark still does Superman duties Brainy is less active but still helps out, he was more focused on their kids who needed their parents. Brainy slowly becomes more active after Cara moves to his time to join the next gen Legion of Superheroes but goes back to being less active when helping Jon & Damian with their daughter along with some of his other eventual grandkids.

Like I said earlier I'm going to try to work on a late crossover day post but other than that this is it for my participation in Clark x Brainy Week 2024. I still need to remember to work on stuff ahead of time but I have doubts I'll remember to do shit. I hope everyone enjoyed my stuff, with luck I'll get around to the updated version of my list of kids for these two eventually. I finally posted this stuff to Tumblr.

ClarkxBrainy Week2024 Day 3

Here's day 3, I skipped some days cause they either got merged, didn't know what to do with them or got distracted & ended up deciding to give up on them.

An explanation for Brainy's appearance & behavior is in the first pic(LINK) but the tldr is just Brainy had some changes while away from Clark & he has something to hide his green skin but also chose to hide his hair color too.

Day 3 was school

I couldn't fully think of anything past maybe watching their kids head off to school. I then got the idea to make them have a meeting with the school about something one of their kids did.

I decided to have them go in due to their youngest kid/only daughter, Cara(named after her 1st cousin that gets called aunty Kara) for some reason. Brainy while not wanting his kids to get in trouble can't help but be curious if his little girl won the fight, Clark on the other hand just wants to lay low & be a good person that tries to not get into too much trouble so Brainy's reaction startled him. Cara is still young but fairly out going so likely stood up to someone picking on someone or someone trying to steal her snacks at snack time.

I was really tempted to have them get called in for Conner but that would mean Lex being brought in cause some how he & Clark have shared custody. I could just go for Van instead but meh.

ClarkxBrainy Week2024 Day 1

This & the next two posts are late Tumblr uploads(this post & another were technically on time on DA or at least posted during the ship week) because I struggled to get around to shit again. I have at least one more pic I want to post for this that will be very late(there was meant to be a fic but I'm posting that later once again unrelated to ship week)

So @priestessofnox setup a list of themes for Clark x Brainy week 2024 on DA.(Link to the list on DA) Back on DA things have kind of slowed down & I don't get usually get to stuff due to juggling things but I enjoy ship weeks/months because it helps me make time for stuff I like & the themes help think of ideas for pics since depending on what's going on I don't always know what I'm doing.

Before I finally get into the pic I'm going to explain that things have changed with some of my DC stuff which you saw in my 2023 ship week stuff. I don't want to ramble too much so I'll just leave it at more kids were added(Jon & Chris) & some stuff changed like as of 2023 I now draw older/parent Brainy with short hair when in the past I drew/imagined he grew his hair out again as an adult. Brainy has a watch/device that helps hide his skin so it looks tan instead of green, he also decided to have hide his hair color so he has dark/black hair instead of blond hair when the device is on. The best way to notice it's him is a necklace with his Brainiac symbol on it which Clark kind of gave him as a gift.

Day 1 was farmer's market

I was originally going to draw them walking around a farmers' market like I did with Shiro & Keith in another thing but decided to draw them setting up a stand at the farmers' market.

I drew my friend's version of adult Jon & Damian(Link to ref also I messed up the ages a little in the pic) helping out or this is their stand with Clark & Brainy helping out. The outfit I drew for Damian didn't seem like a good idea for a farmers' market so gave him another one, his hair is hard to draw still.(Their haircuts are based on a comic panel a friend showed me of Damian liking his hair short & Jon liking his a little longer)

I wasn't sure what to have them doing here, Brainy is manning the counter & Damian is setting up a dog treat display because he made a bunch of homemade dog treats to sell. Clark & Jon are helping bring over supplies they're selling.
