“I've been drinking, I've been doing things I shouldn't do. Overthinking, I don't know who I am without you. I'm a liar and a cheat, I let my ego swallow me and that's why I might never see you again. I'm alone in my head looking for love in a stranger's bed, but I don't think I'll find it. 'Cause only you could fill this empty space.”
what is one of your muse’s biggest fears?
jaejin doesn’t really have any fears, he really can’t afford to have any because he tells himself that having fears will not only make him ‘weak’ but they could also be used against him and get in the way of his plans. though, it’s all just mostly a lie and something he’s forced himself believe over time. in reality, he does have at least one fear, and that is something that heavily revolves around insu. deep down he’s afraid of insu finding out what he’s planning, afraid that insu will end up getting hurt somehow ( or even that the other will try to step in to either stop him or even try to help ). it’s the reason behind him ending their friendship 12 years ago. to protect insu from any possible dangers that would come with jaejin trying to take down the queen of hearts and get the throne for himself.
what is one of your muse’s biggest secrets?
his biggest secrets... the first one is one that no one besides his private knows, his goals in life. the reason why he went from not caring about the throne to wanting it all. he’s been able to hide his true intentions over the past 12 years, though it’s only a matter of time before some begin to figure out what he truly has planned behind that charming smile he uses around others. his other secret? even though he’s dead set on gaining the title of king and taking over the spot that his mother is in, he actually has hidden how he feels about insu since the day that the two first met and he showed the other male around the kingdom of hearts. even back before he cut off all ties with insu, he had a special place for the other in his heart, and despite him practically being cold-hearted at this point - somewhere deep down inside of him, he still has that feeling of ‘love’ for him.
what is one of your muse’s deepest desires?
his deepest desire of course is to take the queen of hearts down. the throne would just be a little bonus that comes with that if the day comes where he’s able to successfully accomplish his goal. he won’t let anyone get in the way of him achieving what he wants, even if he has to play dirty in order to do so. jaejin will use those that he can as ‘stepping stones’ to get to the end of this game even if it does end up ruining some relationships he has with others. to him, this is the cruel world that they live in and he believes that those who are too weak, too soft-hearted, won’t make the cut no matter how hard they try. in his eyes they need to be ruthless, they need to learn that they can’t trust or depend on anyone around them because they can easily stab you in the back later on.
what is one of your muse’s biggest regrets?
his biggest regret is even falling down the rabbit hole, for allowing himself to become the person he is today and losing the one person he truly loves and cares about. he regrets not being able to tell insu that he loves him and regrets not being able to stay by the other male’s side all these years, though he didn’t want to drag insu into the middle of something that could possibly end up physically harming him. in jaejin’s mind, he did this to protect the other male and that’s what he will continue to tell himself as he moves forward, what he will continue making everyone ( including insu ) believe. another regret is that he allowed himself to become like the queen of hearts in some ways, causing him to even turn against his twin sisters who he once actually cared about and would truly smile and laugh with. his sisters who he would honestly do anything for and protect from any sort of harm or threats that the world threw at them.
which other royal/knight does your muse think is their biggest competition, and why?
jaejin sees anyone who has potential as competition, even his own sisters, because it just means that he has more people getting in the way of him getting what he’s been going after for the past 12 years now. maybe if he wasn’t so determined to take the queen of hearts down then maybe he still wouldn’t care about the throne or even being a prince, however, it’s because of her that he’s going down this path and he wants nothing more than to see her fall and lost her title as ‘queen’. if this means that he has to think of others as threats then so be it.
would your muse eliminate their biggest competition (between current muses only; no NPCs) if given the chance? why or why not?
to answer simply: yes. he would honestly eliminate them without giving even a second thought on the matter. it’s really nothing personally towards them, though he wants to be the one in the end who takes his mother down with his own hands. at this point, those who do decide to trust in him are nothing more than just pawns in his big game of chess. those who he treats as nothing more than little puppets to toy with and use to his advantage in order to help get him one step closer to sitting on the throne and taking his place where he thinks he belongs. if this means that he would have to eliminate them in order to get what he wants, he will do so without hesitation.
if your muse did not become a royal, prince(ss), or knight, what would they be doing now?
if he had been able to life a normal life, jaejin would want to be living happily with insu ( whether it’s as a couple or even just friends with his unrequited love ). he would be would be working at some small cafe somewhere, a relaxed job that doesn’t require him to do some desk job or even paperwork. living a life where he could be free to just be his true self with the one person he loves by his side. he would have a better relationship with his sisters, laughing and joking around, caring for one another like he should do as their older brother. jaejin would probably have a better relationship with @cwneunae, @jiaecwn and @cwnheon than he does as a prince.
what would your muse do if their title was suddenly stripped and they were banished from the palace?
if that were to happen, jaejin would be pretty pissed, especially since he’s spent 12 years planning to take over the throne and even ruined relationships with those that he was once close with. all of his hard work would go to waste and he would try to fight it, though if there’s nothing he could really do to keep his place he would have no choice but to accept it ( even if he doesn’t agree with the reasoning and believes no one is more fit for the throne than he is ). though maybe that’s what he would need to happen in order for him to open his eyes and see what sort of monster he’s become over the years, that he’s wasted all of these years becoming something that he once despised when looking at his own mother. the thing that he had once told himself he would never become and the reason why he had once wished he could live a more simple life away from the kingdom. a monster that was consumed by the darkness and greed.
if your muse could do something that would normally cost them their title but without receiving those repercussions, what would it be?
he would take the chance to get rid of anyone who had enough potential to take over the throne, end them so that he could easily sit in the spot as king with no worries of anyone attempting to take what he’s been working hard to take over since he was 18 years old.
if your muse had the choice to either a) gain the crown but their best friend is killed, or b) save their best friend but lose the crown, what would they do?
jaejin would love to say that he would take the throne, to let his best friend be killed, however it would probably be easier said than done if he didn’t have the feelings that he did for insu. even though they haven’t spoken or properly seen one another since 12 years ago, he still has those same feelings towards insu despite how well he manages to hide them from others. so even if he did lie and say he would choose the first option in a heartbeat, he would be lying to himself and to others as well. in reality, if it came down to gaining the crown or saving insu, he would choose the latter without any hesitation. he wouldn’t be able to live seeing the other being killed, it’s why he had ended their friendship in the past so that he could avoid such situations. of course this would mean throwing away everything he’s worked hard for up until now, though he would give it all up just for the one he loves even after all this time.
#cwnroyalreport#cwninsu#cwneunae#jiaecwn#cwnheon#| tagged because mentioned !#| basically everyone is 'competition' and his 1 weakness is insu but no one knows lol#| also in another world he would have actually been the perfect caring brother towards his sisters... orz

NOH YUYRE SUBMITTING THE ROYAL REPORT...
what would yurye do if his title was suddenly stripped and he was banished from the palace?
it’s a simple question, yet… it evokes such an old and sad feeling within yurye. a longing. it’s almost alarming how unphased he is at the thought of what if that happened tomorrow? of course, yurye can’t remember much of his time from before entering the palace. a time when his mother and he were just simple nobodies somewhere in korea. but through the years when he suddenly finds himself a little too exhausted over what it means to be a prince, and what it means to maintain that title and the image he’s built thus far… part of him tries to think back to what his life had been before everything had been dropped into the palm of his hands.
if yurye were to suddenly lose his title… he’d want leave the country. the entire land in fact, to start over where he could leave behind all the stress and politics behind. but there’s a small part of him that holds back on considering leaving everything behind to start new. yurye can’t help but think about who would be there for @cwnkijung? he wasn’t a child anymore but… he was the only family that yurye had left. and as much as he would want to start new given the chance, he wouldn’t be able to do it alone. so if yurye were to be banished from the palace, he would do whatever he could to go back. whether he gained his title back or not, all that mattered was that he would be able to take care of kijung.
yurye’s deepest desire?
hell…. he really wants to take @cwneunae out on a date. like officially court her. all the fancy pizazz and stuff. bring her all her favorite bouquets of flowers, go out on horse rides to see the nearby lakes or rivers. maybe even have a picnic with her if that’s what she wants. most important of all, be able to openly visit her in the kingdom of hearts whenever he pleased.
he wishes he could just out with it and tell her how he feels about her, but yurye has never been the type to boldly confess his feelings. he knows how quick word spreads around even when you think you’re alone together to do something that secretive - that intimate. after all, eunae wasn’t just some girl that the king willed him to meet. she had humbly caught his attention and since then he couldn’t get her out of his head. but he would never do anything to risk her reputation and image being damaged by petty rumors such as him and his feelings for her.
yurye’s biggest fear?
there are definitely more scary things in the world that yurye probably couldn’t even fathom or bother thinking about. the only things that kind of strikes fear in his heart recently is how much longer his friends are going to be able to stand him and his mischievousness. despite being a prince of his standing, when it comes to his closest friends, they all know just how rowdy he can get when he’s not under the eyes of any scrutinizing royal advisors or other nobles.
he’s pretty sure that one of these days chul, hyunsu or seoho might snap at him and give him a beating for his incessant bugging nature. in hindsight, @cwnseoho would probably be less likely to do anything that would actually physically harm the prince. maybe a reprimanding word or two. as for @cwnhyunsu… well… chances were if there was anything physical happening it would probably be because yurye was helping the former out of an escalated situation, getting himself involved. which left @cwnchul… which… well - yurye was sure chul would definitely hands down give it a go if given the chance. chul was a moody one after all and you would never be able to tell until the male was on you for something.
all these thoughts are settled in yurye’s mind as he really considers these questions one after another. but once he begins to write his report, the answers that a prince like he should have, flow effortlessly as his title and reputation is everything he is.
should yurye be stripped of his title and be banished from the palace, “i would take on the role of a political envoy to assist from outside the palace…”
one of yurye’s biggest desires, “i desire that the people of the kingdom should live in long peace and prosperity....”
one of yurye’s biggest fears, “is that one day i may fail to carry out my duties not only as a prince of the country, but as a leader to my people…”
#cwnroyalreport#task#cwnkijung#cwneunae#cwnseoho#cwnhyunsu#cwnchul#- IGNORE MY SHITTY ASS GRAPHIC LMAO#- i keep forgetting to do this#- so we're settling on this graphic for now#- what do i even use kfljowiajoaij#- i may or may not make a new one we'll see#- i really wanted to answer that killing one but ask again after his arc LOL

choi jiae’s royal report
✧ ‧ ‧ ‧ property of the kingdom of hearts.
which other royal/knight does your muse think is their biggest competition, and why?
it's not something jiae would advertise, nor does she even privately admit it most days. on her best days, there is no competition. jiae is beloved by most, especially the citizens of the kingdom of hearts. she has been learning and training since a younger age than most nobles, and being the daughter of the current king and queen, it feels like she's almost guaranteed the throne. jaejin is getting older without already being crowned king, and eunae doesn't have the public's approval like jiae does. the odds, it seems, are in her favour.
on her worst days, jiae knows that's not true.
time is an illusion, and anything can happen at any time, so jaejin isn't completely out of the running. but eunae is her true competition. she always has been, perhaps since they were old enough to crawl. eunae isn't... incapable; she's intelligent, she works hard, and she's a good person, though the public doesn't know that. as much as it pains jiae to think about, the only thing that separates the twins, that puts one twin much closer to the throne than the other— it's their reputations.
would your muse eliminate their biggest competition if given the chance? why or why not?
morals aren’t very high on jiae’s list of priorities. if they were, she wouldn’t have so many secrets to hide from so many people. but she has limits, too. she can handle the trail of lies and blackmail that could possibly lead back to her, but she could never... she could never kill someone. whether it’s an unknown peasant from the kingdom of hearts or her biggest competition—eunae, oh god, eunae. that’s her sister! they may not be close, and jiae certainly doesn’t feel anything more than a sliver of concern that isn’t even a constant (it just appears randomly, in an instant, and then disappears again before she even has the chance to think about it), but to have her own blood on her hands? jiae can’t deal with that. she’ll find other ways to bury her competition, but not this.
what is one of your muse’s biggest fears?
reputations are time-consuming. jiae has spent the majority of her life carefully crafting a positive one: throwing herself into her studies as a child to learn about her kingdom and politics, volunteering with her citizens every so often, addressing everyone with a smile. everything that makes a perfect princess, she's done it. but she's also done things that are beneath a princess.
reputations are delicate. all the lies and the manipulation, those times she's spread rumours about her competition or blackmailed people into silence, they're everything the people of the kingdom of hearts hate. as soon as they discover the person behind the façade, jiae will no longer be a valid contender for the throne. her image will crumble around her, no longer the beloved daughter of the kingdom. they'll turn their backs on her, redirecting their support to someone they deem competent (and jiae knows what the kingdom wants: someone soft, loving, weak—someone who will surely ruin the kingdom, but that's a tirade for another day).
she can't allow that to happen, at least not until she is crowned queen. she won't let it happen, not when she's put in so much effort to get here.
what is one of your muse’s biggest regrets?
children don't get to decide who they share blood with and where they grow up. jiae was born as a daughter of the king and queen, raised in the kingdom of hearts. and because she shared their blood, she never got a choice on where she would fight to become a queen; jiae is expected to carry on the legacy of her family by aiming to take over the kingdom of hearts. personally, despite being raised with heart values, she can't help but wish she could rule over the kingdom of clovers instead. their people are stronger, more powerful than the hearts citizens. they know their place instead of intermingling between nobility and the lower citizens.
she's always felt she belongs there instead. a large part of jiae thinks that she should have fought for the chance to compete in a different kingdom. but since she can't, she'll simply transform her own kingdom the way in whatever way she sees fit.

roses have thorns
location: kingdom of spades, second floor ballroom with @cwneunae
Chul arrived fashionably late just this once. And just this once, he dressed as alluringly as he possibly could and even styled his hair. Tonight, he had to look impeccable.
He was never one to attend late, mainly because he hated interacting with people and liked to arrive early so he could either sneak out or leave early. But it was a special occasion and Chul needed to enter with a bigger presence than usual. Even so, he couldn’t help biting back a scoff when the Royals around him immediately burst into excited whispers. That and because he absolutely hated dances. My God, did he hate dancing with a passion. Not that he was bad at it (the Queen forced him to take lessons over and over and he could dance in his sleep if he she told him to), but he just never understood what the point of it all was for. Well--he understood that it was for courting but we digress, Chul hates dancing and he hates being bombarded by random women asking to dance.
The real reason why he was even here tonight was because the Queen had given him instructions for a long term job. As always, the scheming Queen of Spades needed information. The specific information needed laid within secret documents held only accessible by the current ruling family of the Kingdom of Hearts, and the easiest way to gain access to those documents was through Princess Eunae. Therefore, it was now Chul’s sole goal to capture the heart of Princess Eunae, who the Queen had specially invited to the private ball tonight as the sole representative of the Kingdom of Hearts. And while the ladies near him fawned, Chul was searching the room for his target. Surrounded by a garden of flowers, his vision was only set on a single rose.
The music begins to play and a few couples ascend upon the dance floor, dancing to to the slow melody when Chul spotted her. She was in the furthest corner away from him. Perfect.
“Prince Chul--” He coldly turned away from the girl who had just approached him. Normally, Chul would either slink back into the darkness and slip out the exit or he would traverse along the walls, taking the long way to his target so that they would never see him. But not this time, no. Instead, Chul watched quietly until he caught her eyes. It took some time, but when he did catch her eyes he made sure to keep her gaze. Locking his eyes with hers, Chul does something that he has never done before--he started heading directly to her.
Another young lady approached him and Chul instantly side-stepped her in one swift move as if she was nothing but a mere irrelevant fly, earning a surprised gasp. Yet Chul paid no mind to it. He only brushed it off as he continued his gradual and calm stride straight through the dance floor. Normally, it would be considered rude, but in that moment--all the Royals dancing around him suddenly stopped dancing and stepped aside when they saw who was walking so boldly past them. The music stopped along when the dancing couples stopped dancing and it was as if everyone was suddenly holding their breaths, watching his every step. He knew that all eyes were on him now.
Chul only used this to his advantage as he stopped in front of her. He stares at her for a moment and then takes a deep breath. In one movement, he breaks their eye contact while bowing with his hand held out to her gently. Lifting his his head to face her, Chul parts his lips,
“Princess Eunae, may I have this dance?”
#cwn thread#thread: eunae#roses have thorns#cwneunae#sorry for the lame title!#and omg thanks so much for letting me do the starter!!!#my first starter guysss ;w;#i'm sorry that it was a bit long#but alskdfjlsj;fa#i hope you like it!!#it's almost 1am so sorry if there's mistakes or typos haha

within the palace, nari knows every weakness and strength of the castle but accompanying princesses and princes on duties cross countries, has always made her nervous, especially on the random off chance that she’s with a first tiered princess. she has never had to accompany princess eunae anywhere but because the princess’ own private knight cannot, ( she doesn’t ask why, it’s not relevant to her job ) nari is chosen to fill in.
she’s not sure if it is a good or a bad thing that her superiors recommended her for the job. maybe if she could prove herself worthy of being a private knight for eunae on just this day, she would be another step closer to promotion.
however, nari doesn’t believe it’s so. she somehow knows that this assignment is just because she could be spared.
she follows princess eunae around like a shadow, doing what she’s told and only talking when it’s necessary or eunae breaks the silence first. truthfully she’s not sure how she feels about the princess personally but none of her own feelings will influence how she does her work-- after all, she is loyal to the crown, the kingdom of hearts, and eunae is a piece of that.
“princess, did you plan to say here for the night?” she wonders looking at her watch, an heirloom from her father, remaining stiff and almost robotic -- nari’s knight self is so different than how she is off duty. “it’s getting kind of late. if you wanted to head back, we should do so now or find accommodations. don’t you think?”

strangely, sunwoo finds himself lingering far too long around the kingdom of hearts lately. this time, waiting for none other than heon ( 😳 ) , he’s in the castle’s library, wandering around. of course it’s not the first time he’s been in here but it’s always so jarring to experience another place when you’re always lost in your own. sunwoo quite likes the kingdom of hearts or maybe he’s just come to notice it; he blames sunhwa and heon for that.
he’s walking along the book shelves when he spots a princess at a study desk, pouring over old leather bound books. heon’s sister. sunwoo hasn’t met her, not fully at least. to be honest, sunwoo doesn’t usually pay attention to players from other kingdoms. it’s the kingdom of clovers that he worries so intently about. most of the time he’s in the kingdom of hearts, he’s there for sunhwa’s sake.
“what are you reading?” he wonders, striking up conversation purely out of boredom. “or studying, i should say?”

the girl in question
in the kingdom of hearts with @cwneunae
they could have been a power couple, bridging the gap between the kingdom of hearts and clovers. if they just held on and relished each other’s company for a bit longer, maybe the two could have been newly weds by now. their wedding could have been big and beautiful, with news article headlines claiming their love to be an unbreakable bond between two kingdoms. though if they remained together, they knew that they’d both be living a lie because truthfully they both could not stand each other.
okay, maybe it was hyunsu’s fault. anyone knew the prince had a rather eccentric personality, one that many people refused to tolerate, but it wasn’t his problem eunae couldn’t handle him! if hyunsu were to settle down with anyone, they would have to be able to love him at his best and his worst, even if that meant facing his childish antics. it was evident the two could not last a few minutes alone in a room together, so what made anyone think they’d last in matrimony?
although, hyunsu did feel a bit apologetic towards eunae, and how could he not? the princess wore her heart on her sleeve, and if hyunsu wasn’t such an ass, he’d empathize with the fact that she tried her hardest to be the princess her kingdom needed-- not the princess they wanted. unfortunately, hyunsu was not the type to admit when he was wrong, and thus the two stood with their backs against each other’s, unwilling to make amends.
still, with everyone down their throats about the cancellation of their marriage, hyunsu couldn’t stand around and do nothing. he refused to look like some asshole ( no matter if it was true or not ) in front of the entire world, which was why he continued to visit eunae regardless of the status of their engagement. even if the two could not see eye to eye, it didn’t hurt to at least try to look cordial for the public, at least that’s what hyunsu thought.
despite coming without warning, hyunsu was a little upset by the fact that the princess was not in her quarters. to make matters worse, hyunsu had to walk around and ask other residents the whereabouts of his ex-fiancée. so now he was clearly frustrated, scouring the palace grounds in search of eunae, only to find her practicing her swordsmanship.
“just because we called our wedding off does not mean you can cut me out of your life.” hyunsu rolled his eyes, “and with a sword? since when did you, a princess, know anything about swords.”

sweet like candy location. kingdom of hearts, hallway @cwneunae
it’s not often that yurye gets to visit the kingdom of hearts. of course, he’s definitely had a hand in taking over more royal affairs that involved traveling to said kingdom. each kingdom was so vastly different, he always enjoyed traveling out to visit regardless of the amount of time that it took to do so. in all, if trips had to be made, it also came with some extra time to see friends here and there when he got the chance.
of course, the kingdom of hearts was the one exception. yurye had found that if he timed things right, or picked the right royal affair to handle that would keep him in the kingdom for a few days he’d always find someway to run into the charming princess eunae. obviously, it wasn’t something he would openly admit if questioned (no matter how apparent it was to those who knew him). but he knew, and he knew others knew if they gave him a look but if everyone knew then…. was it really an issue that he was purposefully choosing to handle affairs related to the kingdom of hearts if he was still getting the work done?
well, whatever anyone had to say about it, yurye didn’t really care.
which is exactly what he’s proving in that moment as he’s strolling down one of the grand hallways, waiting for a palace staff member to show up. when a random one shows up, he immediately approaches her and pulls her off to the side, trying to tuck their forms into a corner of the hall where no would see or overhear their conversation.
“i’m a prince from the country of spades here for some official duties, however i’m having trouble finding someone. would you be able to help me?” yurye begins vaguely and politely considering the staff member seems to be alarmed. she glances around the hall before nodding her head slowly, taking yurye’s word for it.
he can’t really blame her for her reaction, but if anything. he was really just asking her for some help.
“i’m looking for princess eunae,” yurye smiles gently before sliding his hand out of his suit pocket to show a few bills, “do you know where i might happen to run into her? by chance?”
as soon as the princess’ name falls from his lips though, the staff member takes a step to the side as if they’re about to run from yurye. the panic that sets in yurye seems to mirror the other (albeit for different reasons) and he blurts the first dumb thing to come to mind.
“i just want to see her alone-”
fuck are you dumb yurye? he thinks when he hears the staff member gasp something about a threat. it’s not often that he gets frazzled so easily and loses control of a situation this fast… but…. the mind and heart are less easy to handle when it involves the warm feelings of excitement to see someone special.
“i mean just- as friends, please don’t misunderstand!”
#cwneunae#sweet like candy#- hehe i hope this is okay!#- let me know if you want me to change anything <3#- he's dumbdumb

Illusion Location: kingdom of hearts a closed starter for @cwneunae
“Be careful who you trust and tell your problems to. Not everyone who smiles at you is your friend.”
none of this was new to jaejin, meeting up with one of his twin sisters, eunae, to ‘chat’ and have a few laughs or even him listening to her concerns she’s having. it’s true that, up until he was eighteen, he actually did care about hearing what all she was worried about, what was bothering her in her life. it was true that at some point he actually would care about her wellbeing and gladly stand up for her when times got hard, however things change - people change, and he wasn’t the same big brother he once had been.
at this point it was all mostly just him gathering information about her weaknesses, figuring out how he could possibly take her down if that day came where she really became a threat to his plans revolving around the throne. even if, by some chance, he were to revert back to his old self, it would be too late for him to even think about genuinely caring for her once again. the damage he had done to her over the past 12 years, without her knowledge of any of it even happening right under her nose, would be too much for her to even possibly forgive him if she were to find out how he had been using her this whole time.
did he feel bad for becoming the monster that he had become? maybe deep down he did, very deep down, but he couldn’t dwell on the past or any regrets, he had to take their mother down and rid her of the throne no matter what. in his mind, this was the only way to make things right in the world, at least that’s what his intentions had been in the beginning. over time it was as if the greed had finally swallowed him whole, as if he didn’t have an ounce of humanity left within him to even care about who he hurt along the way. at least that’s what he thinks anyway.
jaejin is sitting there, enjoying his cup of coffee, as he runs through his plans for the day in his head while he awaits for eunae to arrive. it had become a routine by now that the two of them did practically every single day, unless either were too busy to show up, and he would listen to her talk while acting as if he truly cared about whatever it was that she was upset over.
as he takes another sip of his hot beverage, something - or rather someone, catches his attention out of the corner of his eye and he turns his head to see who it is. showtime. jaejin allows that usual ‘brotherly’ smile form on his lips as he realizes it’s eunae, setting his cup down before waving her over to him. “how’s my favorite little sister doing today?” he asks this as he continues with his act. “don’t let the others know that you’re the favorite, we don’t want to have them trying to fight you for my attention.” he jokingly states, as he stands to give eunae a hug as he usually does.
