What is the kingdom’s take on lgbt muses? Would they have backlash or would they be arranged with someone they could love?

despite the kingdoms being just off the coast of south korea and having adapted with modern cultures and technology through the years, there is sometimes tension but not as much backlash on lgbtq+ muses. kingdoms do still hold a lot of old traditions and values for their ruling families (having a king and queen), so even though muses may be less heavily criticized about being lgbtq+, there is still an unspoken understanding and expectation that a muse would abide with royal traditions and enter a marriage with whatever partner is chosen for them when ascending the throne, or being placed into a marriage for royal alliances. this is not to target any muses specifically, but because royal relationships are heavily centered around politics and not true love and romance.

that being said, all lgbtq+ muses are welcome here and do not have to be forced into a "traditional" relationship by the rp lore as no royals are currently ascending the throne. if you want your muse to have any plots or character development surrounding the traditions that are still present in the kingdoms that is perfectly fine and completely up to you!

just to emphasize, lgbtq+ muses would not be scorned in any of the kingdoms whether this information is known ic or not. as well, all muses can have secret or open relationships and that would be okay too! just keep in mind that with the open relationships, there may be some people who still don’t approve of it so that’s where the criticism can come into play.

hi when you guys added that social media posts must be a graphic, what did you mean? can you provide resources for typists who don't know/have ps so they could at least collect the points?

thank you so much for reaching out about this! i will actually be placing this under a cut since it did get a little lengthy!

in regards to what we mean by graphics, we're referring to premade templates that you can usually find online for social media such as instagram, twitter, snapchat, etc. most of these resources are FREE online with the exception of some templates that individual artists may personally choose to put a price on! of course, we don't expect any of our members to spend money on photo editing apps or templates to take part in something small as this since it is just for fun in rp!

with that, we definitely have resources for all of our members who don't have photoshop available! one free online source that both admin heart and i have used before is called PHOTOPEA. it's essentially the same thing as photoshop, serves the same purpose and has the same features except that it's online and free!

as for templates, you can find a lot of different free designs off of DEVIANTART specifically under a search for "social media templates" (sm templates, instagram templates, etc). as an example, please check out this link for instagram templates! another way you can find free templates is searching off google or tumblr. you'll be able to find more free templates though those searches if nothing catches your eye off of deviantart.

social media posts are just meant to be a quick fun thing! we don't expect members to go over-the-top (although more than welcome if you want!) for these activities! if you're looking for something simple and easy to use, i'll also link a few templates below this!

we're sorry if this made things difficult for you in wanting to participate in the social media portion since you are right!! not everyone has access to editing apps like photoshop so we apologize that we hadn't added an alternative to the events post at the beginning. i am currently discussing an alternative with admin heart on creating graphics themselves for our members who might have trouble creating one. once we've figured out an alternative we will either update that here or make a small notice post about it from main!

are event threads only allowed through oct.24-oct.30?

hi! you can start posting about the event (threads, solo, social media posts, moodboards, etc) as early as today if you want to!! the last day to post anything new would be NOVEMBER 1ST but if you have ongoing threads still, then you and your partner can continue replying to it past that date. we would also like to clarify/add on that any replies you want to use for points must be made before the 1st as well! so if someone posts a starter on november 1st before midnight but their partner doesn't reply until the 2nd, then only the person who started could claim points & their partner, despite replying, would not be able to claim anything since it wasn't posted before the event deadline - so we definitely recommend getting a jump on those as soon as possible if points are your goal! (and if not, then be free!) the deadline on NOVEMBER 6TH is more so for any late comers and stragglers or those who get busy during the event and don't have time to compile all their related posts and calculate points (and other cases like that) by the 1st, to ensure every has a chance to submit everything correctly.

as for officially announcing these connections, we did want to let everyone know that we do have wanted connections application that will be available to all of our members once we officially open! a post or announcement should be made with that when we do so, so if there are any current members looking for other connections keep an eye out for that!

otherwise, we do have two premades that are still available to be male or brother connections we would love to see get filled as well. the first is the flame set as the prince, son of the queen of hearts and the second is the tame set as the older sibling to the wild. you can check the little details on those on our premades page if you are interested.

the apology should really be coming from us! we definitely weren't expecting to have received as many apps as we have recently! we definitely really appreciate all the interest and couldn't be happier with how many people have submitted apps up to this point too! however, all the apps seem to have come at a super busy time for both me and admin heart. with work going on and it currently being midterms admin heart and i are a bit behind in being able to review and re-reviewing all of the apps that we currently have.

we really appreciate your enthusiasm and all the patience that everyone has had with us so far! we're definitely working on getting through the apps as soon as possible so that you guys can all join and take part in our current event as well!

what sorts of personalities would you like to see here? i used to really like writing instigators/antagonists but would find that people didn't like writing with them, so i'm not sure if there's anything that people are looking to write with here!!

hi, anon!! not going to lie, this one made us think simply because we'd welcome any kind of muse here - but after reading your ask again i think it's important to emphasize that you should write a muse you like and want to, rather than something other people would like more! i do understand that it might not be fruitful since i also have noticed in the past in other roleplays that instigator/antagonist muses seem to have a more difficult time getting plots or threads but i think in a group like ours where the main focus is everyone competing for the crown (some against their will or personal interest or with less stake than others), it allows for those kind of muses to thrive more? we do, in fact, have some muses who are more cutthroat or sneaky even if they aren't obviously/outwardly so, since everyone does need to keep up a good image and reputation to show they're worthy for the throne, so i think if you wanted to write a muse like that then they would be able to work within the setting! that being said though and if you're truly okay with writing any kind of muse or are just having a hard time thinking of a muse (me a lot of the times tbh lol), i think it'd be fun to see more lower ranking royals, most notably tier 3 (newly appointed princes/princesses) or tier 4 (fallen princes/princesses or those who are still trying to earn a title)! maybe a royal who is almost at the end of the 6 years they're given to earn a title but still unable to and thus are super desperate? royals who are fake as hell and kissing up to others to make themselves look good but are secretly spreading rumors about others or planning to sabotage them? for knights, i don't think we have any 2nd class knights right now so some more of those (and 1st class knights too, honestly, since we only have 1 right now) would be nice too! they could be trying their best but for whatever reason, are still not able to ascend the ranks; or someone who doesn't take their training seriously but got in due to having above average physicals/abilities? maybe they did have passion at some point but now, don't? also in general--although not related to personality ideas--we’d love to see more girls, as well as just more citizens in the kingdom of spades! 😉 i hope some of these may have helped spark some ideas or is what you were looking for (and if not, i'm so sorry LOL i don't think i'm particularly great at coming up with these kinds of things)!! admin diamond is also still thinking about if she has anything in mind so until/if she adds in her own answers, we can open this up to the floor so: members, please reply if there are any kinds of personalities or muses you’d like to see here/write with!

for the guys we would love to see shinee's minho, highlight's doojoon or yoseob, 2pm's nichkhun or taecyeon, or infinite's sungyeol, dongwoo or myungsoo!

as for the gals we would love to have apink's bomi or chorong, girl's generation's taeyeon or seohyun, after school's nana, secret's hyosung or soloist hyuna!

if your friend finds another second generation fc that they would prefer to bring instead, that's definitely okay and we'd love to see them as well!
