ok so random theory that i keep thinking about

big spoilers / trigger warning: assume u did at least one full playthrough okay

ok so like. one thing i havent seen talked about in detail is like. the odd innuendo (either intentionally or not), with the colors red and white?

the white foam with vents

white foam with blood

blood/razers/danger in vents

white foam blocking paths/constantly surrounding you

white, red, pink flowers

idk about others but, when i played this game, my mind immediately went to 'wow the foam looks kinda suggestive', but it became more obvious when some scenes/areas had blood near the foam?

i immediately thought of semen and blood; or blood tainting purity, or both. and its like. idk, when you think about how the color white is used as a barrier, obstacle, and literal prison surrounding you, it kind of makes you go 'oh.' to everything.

and, if you think about semen and blood in a vent, with pregnancy themes, it kind of make you go hm. and the whole 'do not touch' the vent thing, makes it feel like the vent is an innuendo as well. 'do not touch the vent in the medical room.' feels like, well a parallel to something else.

even the cryo thing, is like. the color white. it's like a literal feeling of being frozen. locked. unable to move forward, loss of agency, even as time goes on. while red is a finality, mortality, a bleeding and painful thing. the combination of both, it just seems like a mental torture similar to trauma

iunno. its a great game, so poetic. and i can heavily relate to the whole 'wow the person who hurt me 'got away'.' vibes nkjsjdfn. so much symbolism!! aaa!!
