how it started, how it’s going

if you stare for 2 seconds you can see all the places where I told myself I’m spending too much time on this and i need to focus on the other things I have to draw
---
all because I live by ✨Por Qué No Los Dos✨ I’m here now, suffering, because “merfaun” and “seatyr” sound hilarious (yes that’s kalamansi wreathed around the horns)
tl;dr I’m still fiddling with it since I mapped the sheet to Satyrs (as explained in the tl;dr link), they’re still fey I’d think but the Magic Resistance is real beefy. this homebrew is abso-posi-tivelutely for fun and in the case I wanted to make more than just my first merfaun/seatyr/capricorn character, and for if a DM saying they’d need something more than “just vibes”.

#character design#satyr#mermaid#dnd#dnd homebrew#dungeons and dragons#illustration#ttrpg#homebrew#and i'm STILL on the fence whether the front or back legs should be in the design#cuz the capricorn is depicted with the front legs but satyrs have the back legs#it would make more sense to have a long fuckoff tail paired with back legs but the illo i made with my first character looks so cute#and it wouldn't look the same if I had her sitting like that with backlegs#but also there's sitting and pointedly crossing your legs has A Power that you can't replicate with back legs#idklol i can't stop drawing them send help
