On August 26, 1997, the renowned rapper Coolio released his third studio album titled "My Soul."

This album marked his final collaboration with Tommy Boy Records and featured a blend of West Coast hip hop, gangsta rap, and G-funk styles.

Despite not achieving the same level of commercial success as his previous albums, "My Soul" was certified gold by the RIAA and included hits like "C U When U Get There."

The album's production boasted contributions from several producers, including Romeo, Vic C., Bryan "Wino" Dobbs, and DJ I-Roc, and it showcased Coolio's versatility as an artist.

The album's legacy continues to be celebrated, with a 25th-anniversary edition released on October 28, 2022.
