before this month my only conscious exposure to the beatles (or 50s-60s music in general, really) was my high school girlfriend forcing me to watch hard day's night. i could not tell them apart for the life of me. but she asked me who my favorite was and i said "who's the drummer?" (cause i'm a drummer) and she goes "ringo" so i chose him. she then made me to listen to revolution no.9 all the way through and i vowed to never look at those wretched insect boys again
