marda and kevmo's first meeting was just about one of my favorite things that i've read so far in all the high republic books
#like her horror at him using the force as a tool hhhoooooo boy!!!!!!#like i am just so immediately fascinated by their differing views of the force#current prediction is that this will not end well for kevmo..... i don't know HOW.. but i fear for him already lol#but yeah with their meeting. like them immediately being drawn to each other#to marda (not violently but harshly. abrasively) rejecting him#she wasn't ACTUALLY super mean or harsh in her outward demeanor#but INTERNALLY her own feelings were so immediately horrified repulsed etc#idk if i'm explaining this well#but the switch from the gravitational almost peaceful first look to the abrupt like reverse magnetism after she sees him use the force#it was just really really cool to read#marda ro#kevmo zink#path of deceit#the high republic#mik reads the high republic
