#curious about Proving the existence of ghosts and how thatd work

how do the kids feel about ghost stories. do they believe in the paranormal, and if they dont, do they find it interesting regardless? - annie

i think it shows a Bit that my connection was down so i couldn’t read this while i wrote 💔

hatano - doesn’t believe in ghosts but it’s out of fear. she doesn’t Want them to be real. hates ghost stories but can Not look away if she wanders over to one. she has to know how it ends. she’s so mad at you for telling one within earshot.

higa - quietly thinks there’s Something currently unexplained that aligns w people’s paranormal theories. scoffs if you ask him. obviously ghosts are a dumb concept, loser. terrified of ghost stories, doesn’t like them

inori - doesn’t, but does believe in some concept of an afterlife. it’s a hospital thing. likes ghost stories because she likes to try and come up w explanations for them. 

iranami - believes! thinks some people become ghosts, some become angry spirits, and some don’t become anything. doesn’t like ghost stories, but she doesn’t really get spooked? (she’s scared of like. demons and Non Human apparitions and forces specifically). she doesn’t like them because they make her sad.

koba - doesn’t believe in ghosts, but believes people go somewhere when they die. big fan of reincarnation/pieces of people going different places. similar to iranami, doesn’t like ghost stories because they make him upset. believes in Presences before he believes in ghosts per se

kurokawa - :). believes in ghosts and the paranormal but has an Incredibly specific view of it. thinks that something has to tie someone to the earth, but it’s not necessarily them or what they want (eg unfinished business), and thinks it’s only a piece of them. cases of unfinished business are, to her, someone’s ambition, or their curiosity, etc etc. thinks that sometimes parts of people stay because their memory is being relived by their loved ones so often. 

also, a Firm believer in the paranormal, in the sense that she thinks there is Other forces. there is people’s spirits and their remnants and the like, and there’s also Something Else. gently believes in another layer of existence that affects their world but isn’t something Most people understand how to perceive and process. she’s firm on her talent as shsl exorcist, because she Knows how to handle ghosts, and does Not know how to handle that other factor. only makes attempts to mitigate.

likes to tell ghost stories, gets bored of others quick but is good at hiding this

maeda - i wrote everyone else’s section in order, but skipped maemae and am writing his last. Hm. i think he believes in an afterlife, buuut. believes that while forces can act after people’s death,think it’s a Component of them. believes people exist in multiple facets across multiple angles, kinda similar to an optical illusion. death dismantles them, and some things stay behind- a component of them. less distinctive, more holistic than kurokawa may explain it. recognizes paranormal activity in past experiences. likes ghost stories, but likes reading about people’s encounters, not listening to people tell stories. sometimes left a bit uncomfortable after them, but believes discomfort is a necessary part of life. 

maki - unsure of what to feel about ghosts, ghost stories make her Very uncomfortable. the whole subject is just icky and unfun to her. she loves kurokawa but she’s Only watching the most kid friendly of kurokawas content

mekaru - doesnt believe in ghosts, but she’s open to having her mind changed. lies and says she does because of kurokawa and her talent. kurokawa knows she’s lying, but sees no reason to call mekaru out, its no issue to her <3. kurokawas beliefs just aren’t enough to change mekarus mind! fascinated by ghost stories but they end up hitting her late at night, and she’ll get scared easy.

ōtori - believes in ghosts, but not firmly. thinks there’s too much to be dismissed, but also doesn’t… Really believe that consciousness continues after death? a bit tempted to say he believes in an afterlife + visits from those in the afterlife, but i think he’d hesitate to say he believes in the afterlife too. he’s very mixed opinions abt this. likes ghost stories because they’re interesting to him, but he also gets a bit freaked out. they tend to Stick with him

taira - doesn’t believe in ghosts, does believe in spirits. it’s an important distinction to her. big believer in unfinished business/ghosts with Motive for staying. thinks a lot abt if she’d rather be a zombie or a ghost. kinda likes ghost stories, but also can get bored by them. she finds people drag them out too much.

tomori - believes in ghosts, thinks they specifically tend to come from people who passed in accidents/from unnatural causes. doesn’t like ghost stories because they both Scare her, and make her feel a bit sad.. but is another who always stops and listens. insists she’ll be fine. is Rarely fine.

tsu - has mixed feelings, but doesn’t like the subject very much. says he’s more concerned with the living ! but then will apologize for implying the ghosts of the living don’t matter. they just aren’t His priority, okie ?… likes ghost stories a lot.

uehara - Get Him Out Of Here. refuses to ponder what happens to people after they die because Well You Know. could have a really good convo w you abt heaven vs hell vs etc in different forms of christianity, though! likes ghost stories Kinda, but much prefers general horror content. gets scared as Shit, though. the rosary is coming off his neck, it’s in his hand, he is Going to scream, and the level of comfort behaviors he’s engaging in that night will be astounding

yamaguchi - doesn’t believe in ghosts because he’s Very critical of how people bring them up. doesn’t have aaaanything against people who do (and wonders, whenever they come up, how different his opinion would be if midori passed-), but does think people can read into things. believes in other powers intervening to make it Look like deceased loved ones are sending signs before anything else. doesn’t talk abt this though, just shrugs and says he’s unsure. neutral about ghost stories, they don’t spook him! if they’re good, they’re good. like any other story to him.
