Not Proofread
(This fanfic I wrote is inspired and I made it so like the movie 'Corpse Bride’. I just love that movie so much, so I think It’ll be fun making an en- fic abt it … So yeah. I wrote this. And I wrote this 'cuz it’s kinda sad letting go of the things, and people we love so much, and I hate letting go of stuff/someone, so I just wrote this.)
• • • • •
"Can you tell me what is it you were running away from?" Jungwon gently asked, tilting his head a little trying to match her height.
"Marriage." He was shocked when he heard what the girl said.
"May I know who's the man you were to marry?"
"You might be shocked, but they say that the L/n's daughter runs away from marrying Baron Yang's son, so lady Yang sent a letter this morning and requested the marriage my parents and the Baron were talking about those past few years" Jungwon was shocked, and his body was frozen when he heard what the girl said.
'It can't be.'
The girl looks at him, knitting her eyebrows, wondering what was wrong, and why was he looking at her with wide-open eyes that seem like he cannot believe it.
"Are you telling me you were to marry Yang Jungwon?"
"Yes?" The girl looks at him bewildered, still hasn't realized that she was found by what she was running away from.
They stared at each other for almost 7 seconds, until Jungwon pulls the girl out of the woods bringing her to the dimly lighted streets near the Yang Manor, but before they could take a step inside the manor's gate, the girl's feet turn ice cold, when Jungwon turned around and saw how her face was paralyzed with fear and took noticed how she tightly gripped his arms, he looks at her in the eyes with concern.
"Are you afraid of going inside?" His soft voice rang into the girl's ear making her shoulders swiftly go down.
"I'm afraid to meet him, I'm afraid that my parents will look at me, and their eyes will show how disappointed they were because of me, I'm afraid that he'll be displeased, I'm afraid they'll look at me differently, I'm afraid I'll mess up, what if I mess up?" It was like wildfire, her thoughts are sprouting like wildfire lost in a forest, that do not know what to do, she was afraid.
"Don't you wanna marry the Baron's son?"
"The Baron's son?... No. No, I do not."
"Then, do you wanna help me find L/n Y/n, so you'll stay as you were before, and then the Baron's son will continue to marry Y/n, you'll never have to deal with marriage at the moment, does that sounds nice?" The offer sounds like music to the girl's ear, and her eyes once again reflect light, hope was formed in her heart.
"I would love to!"
Y/n and Riki are walking down a field. Y/n could only think of how the field looked so...so dead. It was a field of flowers, it was a field of daffodils, daffodils that has no life, the flowers, and the grasses around are brown, dehydrated, and dry.
"This is the only romantic place that I know... well, maybe not, it doesn't look so colorful, and there is no sun that would set nor rise any sooner." Riki sighed after saying those disappointedly.
"It looks lovely." Her voice, for the first time, sounds so easy, it made Riki's mood cheer up a little after hearing it.
Riki cheekily smiled, looking everywhere but her eyes, but quickly turned around when he heard small giggles come from his side. He can feel it, He can feel the fluttery butterfly across his stomach, and the warmness of his face, he feels it again, it's been a long while since that feeling was there.
"What is it? Why have you been staring at me for so long?" Y/n laughed out while Riki's eyes stayed on her way.
"Are you getting deja vu?" Her question was odd, He was taken aback, the question rang over and over again in his head until her eyes locked with his, they could feel it now, but they know they've felt this before. They've felt this before somewhere else.
______
It has been a while since Jungwon and the girl have been looking around for a grave, they have followed the river, but there still was no grave to be found.
"Kind Sir, we have been walking together for quite some time now, may you tell me what is your name?" After hours of walking side by side with each other, that question was already been expected by Jungwon, it was quite long before it was said and he was close to believing that the question -- his name -- will not be brought up. Until now.
"It's Fred--... Jespersen" His mind went blank for a second, and hastily spat out a random name he can think of.
The girl then nod, looking straight up ahead of her, and another question popped up.
"Which house are you from? As long as I've known, Jespersen's mostly are common people." The girl then looks at him, and he stops in his tracks, thinking of an answer while his mouth is hardly shut.
"Oh..." The girl then realized her mistake. "It wasn't my intention to offend nor judge common people, it was only that the Jespersen surname was mostly used by commoners. I apologize." The girl frustratedly explains while Jungwon is thankful that her explanation brought him more time to think of an answer to her question.
"It was because I am just a lowly merchant's son, whose business is hardly recognized, and only a few know about." The girl looks at him amused, and he sensed that the girl is interested in the topic he had made up. And so he continued;
"Yes, our family sells women's dresses, though I could be honest and say the L/n's dresses are more extravagant and more beautiful than ours, though I know it is affordable by those 'lowly commoner'." He made that up once again, and the girl believed it also.
"Oh don't be silly Mr. Jespersen! Calling your family 'lowly merchant' is an offense, if you merchants don't exist, then where should we buy products? We have to make it ourselves then, and I could barely hold a needle for sewing! And also, merchants are rich." Jungwon laughed after hearing those, he could only smile at the thought of him manipulating her quite well.
They walk deeper into the woods following the flowing river beside them, while they entertain themselves by talking, and asking each other's questions until they saw rocks across the said river, like a trail for them to cross it. And so they did.
Jumping there and then, Jungwon finally crossed the river, but when he looks at his back, the girl was struggling, she could barely jump, for she's not so good with these kinds of activities, and she is now stuck in the middle of the river, standing in one of those rocks across the water.
Jungwon hopped into the rocks once more, holding the girl's hand and guiding her slowly as they cross the flowing river. She could feel the warmness of his palms, he was holding her hands and the other her waist, it felt weird to her, and his face is so close, she never realized his eyes are these beautiful, she never had taken note of his long eyelashes, she also has never seen how his jawlines are wavy until now, and oh, his lips, it's gorgeously parted, she hitched a breath.
They were so close to each other, it made the girl's heart beat quite faster than usual.
Oh, what could might this be? Has she fallen in love with a merchant's son? If so, then they really should find L/n Y/n.
The girl hasn't realized the truth, but it might be dangerous for both of them if ever it was revealed.
_______
"Do you want to go back?" The log Y/n and Riki are sitting at is cold, the air in the land of the dead is no colder than the hands that are holding Y/n tight, as if afraid her hands will slip away.
"Go back to where? To your room?" She asks because inside of her, she's already half accepted that she'll be staying in the land where people who are no longer in the world are, but of course, she still misses the warmth of the day up there.
"No," Riki said as silence followed him as he stared deeply into her eyes searching for the answer to the things he was feeling. Is he making the right decision? Because in the depths of his throat, he can't seem to find his voice.
"Y/n..." As silent as a whisper, he calls out.
"Yes?" And you answered, trying to sound as warm as your breath, and hoped that he could feel that you were also trying, trying to fix the things that were messed up.
"Do you want to go back; go back to your parents-- go back to him?" It breaks your heart. You don't know, but if you were honest, the idea relieves and excites you. But the tone of his voice, the crack that his throat made, and the look on his face. His face is hard, his forehead is frowned and his lips are down.
You were silent. You could only pay him back the same look that he has. How could you ever tell him that you wanted to go back-- and how could you, if you're already up there and missed him?
"....I--"
"I know a way Y/n, I know a way to go up there, you could meet your parents again, see their faces again, and --"
"And leave you here? Alone?" It was melancholy, and your tone mirrored the melancholic swirls in your stomach and the ache in your chest. Because how could you? How could you ever crush his dreams? He only wanted to love and be loved again, but the thing is, do you love Riki?
"It's all fine. For these past years, I stayed here." He squeezes your hand.
"But all those years, were you happy?" Then his lips trembled.
"Y/n...do you think if we--" He stopped and swallowed the lump in his throat. "--if you stayed here with me--for all of those eternities, never leaving this place. Do you think you'll be happy?" It's your turn to swallow the lumps.
"Do you think we-- both of us will be happy?" A single tear threatened to fall on your cheeks, but you stared at him never blinking, never looking anywhere else but those expressive eyes of his.
"Let's try." You whispered out. "Let's go up there, I'll tell my goodbyes to my Mother, and I'll give my last hug to my Father, then let's try to live happily in eternity."
He led the way up to the tower of the "old as time"--as he called him. You've decided, you'll do the farewells and go back in here in the land of the dead once you've said your goodbyes to your parents.
You both found yourself standing in front of a long old set of stairs and up there stands an old house.
There, he said that the longest dead is in there, and they all called him Elder Gutknecht.
He guided you up the wooded stairs, it lets out a squeak whenever you take a step. His cold hands never left yours, and once you're finally up the last step, an old door greets your face. In the door, there's a sign hanging up, and it dances whenever the wind hits it.
"Old as time," says the sign. Then Y/n's eyes went down and noticed another one that said:
"FOR HEAVENS RIKI! KNOCK FIRST!" quite amusing, she thought.
Distracted by the sign, a loud bang startled her concentration when Riki harshly opened the door with the absence of mercy of knocking.
"I'm here again!" Greeted Riki at the old skeleton walking down the stairs.
"How many times, Young Man!" Elder Gutknecht started. "How many times will I have to tell you to knock, or just casually open the door without banging it!" Riki let out an apologetic laugh.
"Um, well, I guess that's my bad, forgetting about that--so, I'm here to ask for help." Says Riki.
"I am guessing that involves your living bride?" Says the old man.
"Well, yes."
Elder Gutknecht sighed and proceeded to get a book, dust covered the book like plastic wrap. Then turned to look at Riki, then shifted his gaze to Y/n. His nonexistent eyes stayed on her for a second.
"What is it, young man?" Finally, he looked at his book with disappointment--or perhaps sadness in his voice.
"We want to go up there. My wife wanted to see her parents." Warmth spread through Y/n's chest after hearing him say those. But Elder Gutknecht felt the opposite.
"You do know that it'll be dangerous for you, for all of us when you go up there and disturb the balance between the living and the dead. Don't you?" He looked at Riki with threatening eyes.
"Quite--I guess..." And Riki answered with nervous laughter.
"Alright...just say "Hopscotch" if you've decided to go back here." Says Elder Gutknecht. But in the pit of his non-existent belly, down to his non-existent stomach, he felt very wrong. Something will turn out the wrong way once he sends them up there.
_______
Y/n didn't have to say the joy she felt when they stepped foot in the dark forest as the cool wind blew her hair out of her face.
Riki could see her eyes shine with the moon. Then it hits him suddenly, realizing that she looks happier up in here than when she was down there. It must've been hard on her the most...what is he supposed to do? Can he let her go? Why would he want to let her go? He finally has someone to spend all of his eternity--
Usually, cold air doesn't bother Riki so much, because his own body is cold--literally--but whenever her touch leaves him, the cold of the wind makes him shiver; so when Y/n pulled him out of trans, he could only hope she'd not let go.

Light in the Darkness (1)
Abby Anderson X Fem!Reader, College AU, Multi-Part
Hello, I’m not dead, just twenty years old now. I’m also obsessed with Abby and Ellie from TLOU 2 so, here we are since I can’t stop thinking about them.
This will be a song-fic type thing, as I find it cool.
Pt. 2 can be found here
TW: Anxiety
Don’t come at me for typos, my brain’s confused
Tumblr media
Chapter One
Drop Dead Gorgeous, Voila
“You take my breath away
With that face
Because she’s drop dead gorgeous”
Blondes were never your type. You didn’t really know for sure what your type was but one thing was for sure, it was that blondes never caught your eye. Yet this dumb, buff, Chad of a girl who always sat right in front of you, got your attention. She wasn’t dumb, like any meathead jock that snorted creatine like crack, she was quite intelligent. Maybe too smart. Definitely too smart for this pre-req Anatomy class. Yet, here she was, sitting in front of you in lecture, and sitting at a table across from you in lab as well.
During mid-term presentations, she was quite knowledgeable about the topic of cellular respiration. Her partner, rather, not so much. But that's when you knew. Just noticing this girl, Abigail as it read on the discussion boards, was just the beginning. Now, at the class after the midterm exams, you were staring holes in the back of her head. Eight weeks left, you weren’t going to make it without having emotional casualties.
“Of course,” The professor, Dr. Andrews, started talking as she walked to the front of the white board. “I know we just had mid-terms and a midterm presentation, but we have to start working on the final presentation.” She grabbed her clipboard, “I already picked partners for you, so no one is left out to do all the work this time.”
Her comment was directed at you. It had to be, since you were the only one to present alone. But it was okay, you didn’t care. Meeting new people was rough, awkward. Though, you couldn’t get away with doing projects alone forever. A couple students looked at you, then back to Dr. Andrews when she started talking again.
“Projects will be on whole systems this time, and it will correlate to lab, so these partners will also be your designated lab partner,” Dr. Andrews then looked down at her clipboard to seal your fate. “Abigail Anderson,” She called, looking up at the blonde sitting in front of you. Then she called your name, causing you to freeze. Dr. Andrews continued to call out names as Abigail turned to look at you, giving you a small smile. “You may now sit with your partners,” Dr. Andrews concluded.
There was a free spot next to you, so you nodded your head to it. Abigail seemed to understand as she gathered her things and stood up. You didn’t look at her when she pulled the chair out next to you.
You could feel Abigail’s eyes on you after she set up her laptop and notebook. Dr. Andrews gave the class ten minutes to socialize with their picked partner, but you didn’t know what to say.
“You can call me Abby,” The blonde said softly, “Do you have a nickname?”
“For you?” You asked, turning your head to face her.
“What?” Abby looked amused, “I meant for you.” She leaned a muscular arm on the table, propping her head on her hand.
You stared at her, “No,” You answered, looking down at the pencil you were playing with. Your hands were getting clammy, heart rate speeding up. She was actively talking to you, and she didn’t seem annoyed by your weird question. Although, this was your first conversation with her, so it could get worse.
“You had a nickname for me?” Abby asked, her eyes never left you making our anxiety spike. She was wearing a cut off tee with cargo pants, showing off her arm muscles. Her hair was in a Dutch braid, like it usually was.
“No.”
“Mmm, okay,” Abby chuckled, not pushing the topic. “You did the last project alone, right?”
That question caused you to look at her, eyes furrowed as you blinked at her. She seemed genuinely curious, even if her question had an obvious answer. She’s not dumb.
“I mean, yeah,” You answered, looking her in the eyes, then you looked at her face. Her skin was bright, slight acne scars, but nothing too bad. Her nose and cheeks had freckles, forehead and chin just lightly dotted. Abby’s lips were slightly chapped, but they were a pale red.
Abby licked her lips, bringing you out of your analysis of her face. She apparently said something, but you never caught it.
“What?” You ask.
The blonde smirked, her dark blue eyes scanning your face now. She then leaned slightly closer, causing you to stiffen.
“You do well with public speaking,” She relented, “Yet right now, this conversation seems one-sided. Are you nervous around me?”
Your mouth dropped at her question. Who was she to call out your anxieties? Immediately, you almost put up your defenses, almost cut her out of your life. But a rational thought brought you back. She was just being curious, maybe trying to become friends. And she wasn’t wrong about the one-sided conversation, or about you being nervous around her.
Closing your mouth, you turned your attention back to the pencil. “I don’t care what these idiots think about me, or how I talk.”
“But?” She prompted, her voice softening.
“You’re a potential friend,” You turn back to her. Surprised at the proximity she gained towards you, you flinch. Abby didn’t move, waiting for your answer. “Also, we’re stuck together for the next eight weeks.”
Abby stared at you, taking in the information. But she still didn’t move, instead asking, “Do you think I’m an idiot?”
“No,” Your answer was immediate, causing you to flush. “You seem to know what you’re talking about.” You turned your attention to your laptop, opening the projects rubric.
Abby hummed, seemingly satisfied with your answer, she leaned back into her seat.
After Dr. Andrews explained the project, she left the class to work amongst themselves. Abby didn’t push any further during class, instead pulling her own weight. You were thankful, having had partners in the past that forced you to do everything.
A few minutes before class ended, you decided to pack your items away. Abby decided to do the same, but you could feel her eyes watching you rearrange your items. As you zipped your backpack up, you heard Abby sigh.
“I should give you my number.”
You snapped your head to look at her, narrowing your eyes, “Why?”
The blonde didn’t seem phased by your reaction, instead she cocked her head, “So we can talk about the project.”
You thought her actions were cute, noticing how she kind of took on an innocence when she cocked her head at you. She seemed to not care about your hostility to the question, probably putting it together that you had anxiety. The conclusion warmed your heart, maybe friendship was possible. But, these qualities made the blond even more attractive to you.
Picking up your phone, you handed it to her, “You make a compelling argument.” She smiled, grabbing your phone gently. You watched her type her number in, then she placed your phone on your desk in front of you.
Abby grabbed her phone, handing it to you. You typed your number in, hitting save. Handing her phone back, you left your name blank so she could fill it with whatever she wanted.
“Do you want to join my table in lab?” You asked, changing her name in your phone.
Abby was silent for a moment, thinking your question over. You were nervous, having started the conversation this time.
“Sure.”
You nod, standing up, slinging your arms through the straps of your backpack, “See you then.”
The two of you had sent texts to make sure that you both had the right numbers. You smirked at her latest reply as you sat at your lab table.
From Abby (Chad) Chaderson
Hey
To Abby (Chad) Chaderson
Chad
From Abby (Chad) Chaderson
What?
You didn’t respond, rather you got your work for the class out. Thumbing through your lab book, you heard students start filing in. Movement out the corner of your eye caught your attention, causing you to look up. Abby was taking her seat across from you, placing her backpack on the table.
“Chad?” Was all she said. You smirked not looking up from your book, acting as if you were still reading.
“Hm?”
“So you’re secretly a gremlin,” Abby stated as Dr. Andrews walked in. You only shrugged at the blonde with a grin, turning your attention to the professor.
After a brief lecture, Dr. Andrews left the class alone to do the lab exercises. Abby was more talkative, not minding your brief answers as the two of you worked.
“What’s your major?” Abby asked.
“Reading,” You answer, writing down some data from your lab report.
“Funny,” Abby looked up at you from her own course work.
“I hope so, or else I’ll need a new job,” You smile, looking up to meet her eyes. Though, with that action, you froze. Your throat went dry as you took in her smiling face, the crinkles of the corners of her eyes highlighting just how often she smiled.
“So…?” Abby pressed, her smile turning into a sly smirk.
Swallowing thickly, you looked back down at your notes. Heat roast to your cheeks as you said, “Biochem.” Turning to a new page of your notebook you ask, “What about you?”
Abby hummed, “Pre-med.”
Tearing a piece of paper from your notebook, playing with it, “Rough.” You state, focusing on tearing it apart. Silence enveloped the table. God, why did you have to make things so awkward? “Why?” You decide to ask.
“My dad’s a doctor.”
“Makes sense,” You look at your paper pile that was forming in front of you. Humming you answer her curious stare, “You’re not dumb. You know what you’re talking about.” You then looked up at her, “You’re not the only one who noticed something during midterms.”
Abby smirked, “I guess not.”
There it was. The pit-fall in your stomach, your hands getting clammy. The racing of your heart, your eyes not being able to leave the person you’re getting attached to. The evidence was clear, with you not being able to get your mind off this buff, Olympic goddess of a woman.
Maybe Abigail Anderson was the blonde exception.

Larxene Music Prompt (Cupid)
I don’t know why, but this music video plays in my head everytime I hear Fifty Fifty’s Cupid song XD
Based on my prompt for Larxene/Elrena (x)
Based on this song: (x)
Prompt:
La, la, la, la-la-la La, la-la-la, la, la-la-la
A blurry vision then clears as though dreamy cream clouds, bursting as a girl with her arms up over her upperface then crosses them down, revealing Elrena.
A hopeless romantic all my life Surrounded by couples all the time
Leaning her back up in an arched stretch upwards, bending a knee up as well, Elrena is on the stony steps of the data world. She pushes her knees in and places her head in her hand, looking annoyed and bored by seeing cut-off forms of Skuld and Ephemer walking by, their faces out of shot except the smiles on their faces as Skuld skips a bit ahead but turns back to him with her hands behind her back. They continue to walk off the screen as Elrena falls back to the stony steps, having to arch her back due to their edges.
I guess I should take it as a sign (Oh why, oh why, oh why, oh why?)
Her Chirithy jumps down a step and sways it’s arms in a lower hula-like way to the ‘Oh why’ parts. It’s on each double beat that it it switches from left to right. Her Chirithy continues to sing the (parentheses) for these next scenes.
I'm feeling lonely (Lonely) Oh, I wish I'd find a lover that could hold me (Hold me)
Elrena wraps her arms around herself, before she realizes as she leans her head back that someone is at the top of the stairs, and leans up quickly to turn around and look at them in surprise.
The Camera pans up to Lauriam, who smiles charmingly down to her, hands in his pockets.
Now, I'm crying in my room So skeptical of love (Say what you say, but I want it more) But still, I want it more, more, more
The camera rolls with Elrena’s turn again to have her face plant with her arms over her pillow in her room. She turns again to run her hands from her shoulders, up her neck, to them twisting her body as she sings ‘more, more, more’~ till her hands are moving through her hair, gripping one of her antenna-like strands longingly, yearningly.
I gave a second chance to Cupid But now, I'm left here feeling stupid
There’s a split second frame of her charging into the abandoned house with her Chirithy, implying she was following Strelitzia’s image, before holding her Chirithy in front of her in a sharp cut to her horrified and scared face as the Union Leaders begin to talk, rotating the camera to them.
Lauriam looks away from the conversing others and steps forward and offers his hand to her, still a comforting, enchanting smile of reassurance.
Oh, the way he makes me feel That love isn't real Cupid is so dumb
She shakes out her hands, but he tilts his head affectionately and take her Chrithity out of her hands, placing him down quickly and scoops her up bridal style, lifting a leg up into the Lifeboat as she looks around confused, not sure why they’re insisting on saving her.
Once in, her Chirithy and his face come back into view, and she puts her hands on the shield, before the music naturally swells to make it sound like light particles are shooting up around her, taking her elsewhere as she squrims to the effect, turning her head away and lifting a knee again. (Flavors of drama lol) Chirithy no longer sings (parentheses), as he is no longer present.
I look for his arrows every day I guess he got lost or flew away
Larxene then enters as a mid-shot into the screen with bright white behind her, meaning to reflect the Organiziation’s homebase of void rooms. She does her iconic middle finger pressing up against her forehead before flicking it a few times at ‘flew away’.
Waiting around is a waste (Waste) Been counting the days since November Is loving as good as they say?
Fast zoom out to show she’s now in Castle Oblivion, talking very directly to Namine who, in her chair, is trying to lean away from her in flinches. Then it cuts to Larxene looking out the window and the camera rolling to a rotation of behind her having changed to transition to Sora, Donald, and Goofy. She looks pretty ticked, turning around to swipe the air in agrivation as the Camera pivots to the other direction and rolls in it’s rotation to show her back in the Organization base watching Roxas, Xion, and Axel walking along and conversing in the homebase as friends together.
Now I'm so lonely (Lonely) Oh, I wish I'd find a lover that could hold me (Hold me)
She holds herself again, looking behind her to see Marluxia off and doing his own thing, standing around as she pouts and swipes her head away.
Now I'm crying in my room So skeptical of love (Say what you say, but I want it more) But still, I want it more, more, more
Once again a swinging cut on her head’s spinning about to show she’s fallen onto her Organization bed, mimicking the earlier scene as Elrena, but having her head to the side as she turns her body to lay her back against the whiteness of everything, looking defeated in her love-sickness. Giving up, she grins maliciously and lets her electricity shock around her on the bed, turning and twisting much like her earlier scene with her hands grabbing her head and then moving up to stretch. Symbolic of her dip into the insanity of working as a Nobody and losing her true self in it’s mayhem and mess. (More dramatic allure lol)
I gave a second chance to Cupid But now, I'm left here feeling stupid
A electric bolt transitions the screen as she’s now standing within the maze of of the Keyblade graveyard. She sees Mickey and leans forward, shoving her crossed arms with the electric nail daggers from being up across her to down as she charges him in zig-zagging electric charges. She looks up as Sora appears to swipe down his Keyblade from above at her. Marluxia intercedes with a clash of his scythe. She looks up, dumbfounded that he would rush in to ‘save’ her.
Oh, the way he makes me feel That love isn't real Cupid is so dumb
She is pushed back by Mickey in her astonishment at the kind deed, but as she rolls against the ground, Marluxia lands to stand protectively in front of her, taking the two on.
Coming up in front of the screen is another Larxene, who sings, ‘Cupid is so dumb’ as she does another iconic finger to her forehead before flicking her head back and motioning a ‘gag’ with her finger now pointing inside her mouth.
(Cupid is so dumb)
She falls to her knees, Sora walks over with his eyebrow raised, she smirks and puts her finger up in the ‘It’s a secret’ gesture line she does in the game, before disappearing to be recompleted after a smile back to his intuitive question.
Hopeless girl is seeking Someone who will share this feeling I'm a fool A fool for love, a fool for love
Now back as Elrena, and in the thundering rain of Dwarf’s Woodlands cliffside, she has her knees and hands holding her up off the soggy brown rocks as she shakes her head and cries with the rain, gripping the ground. She grips her heart, looking up a moment, before dipping it down as though thinking everything she did was pointless and didn’t help anything anyway.
I gave a second chance to Cupid But now, I'm left here feeling stupid Oh, the way he makes me feel
Her head swings up to look behind her, turning on the ground as though looking back at someone calling her.
Lauriam comes running up the cliff, heading straight for her.
That love isn't real Cupid is so dumb
He falls to his hands and knees, breathing harshly, before looking up at her with water droplets falling from his lumious hair.
I gave a second chance to Cupid (Hopeless girl is seeking someone) But now, I'm left here feeling stupid (Who will share this feeling)
The camera spins around them as he holds out a hand, as though to offer it to her again, but this time, places it to her cheek and smiles.
Oh, the way he makes me feel That love isn't real (I'm a fool) Cupid is so dumb (A fool for love, a fool for love)
The next shot is Elrena completely red in the cheeks, spreading across her nose as she looks up, the camera pulls out from the close-up to show the swaying, bouncing motion is because she is being carried Bridal-style away from the cliff, down it in Lauriam’s strong, protective arms... She has her hands and arms pulled in and bundled slightly, seeming smitten that love might not be out of the cards of fate just yet... or at all...
She closes her eyes and leans into him.
(thanks for read-watching lol XD It’s just something that inspired the prompt, I hope you enjoyed it!)

Cupids Arrow.
They call me cupids arrow.
For I make people fall in love wherever i go.
But, when it comes to myself, i'd say the chance of me finding love is narrow.
I've always fantasized about love, however all the love ive ever found has been faux.
They call me cupids arrow, for i give people love, but I will never receive it back.
I am cupids arrow, and if i'm shot again, im going to crack.
crack into millions.

Not Proofread
(the description is shitty but I went through my drafts again and saw that this is finished...one of my favs but the first half part is boring...but the ending is kinda cute so...yeah. I'll be in senior high btw.)
• • • • •
Flesh and bone met each other as the sweet taste of iron filled Y/n’s mouth. She hugged her shudders as she lay her whole body on the cold floor, waiting for another pain to touch her in a few seconds. But there came none.
9:41. She closed her eyes as she listened closely to Sunghoon’s movements. She heard him walk away from her as the door creaked open and closed.
It’s been that way since they married three years ago. It’s been her job to ease his stress whenever Park Sunghoon’s been beaten up with his career, and still…all this time she said none. She’d gladly do his meal, do his laundry, clean all the things he had that should be clean, massage him whenever he needed it, sing him a lullaby if he could not sleep, tell him all sorts of lies to ease his worries, but all of those—best. it should suit his taste. It should be perfect. It should be something like him. It should be the best. Park Sunghoon does not need Y/n’s advice, doesn’t need her to complain, and doesn’t want her poor work; she must do all things to perfection. He just could not accept it if anything’s not to his taste if she complained—no. she should never. He does not need her voice to speak with any kind of authority and complaints; after all, he had never brought money to her table less than any job she’d had, paid her. But even requesting food or asking her what she wants for dinner is forbidden.
Y/n pulled herself up from the floor before her whole body turned cold from lying for too long. Lifting her heavy bruised head, the wall clock ticked for midnight. She had been lying for three hours without any kind of movements but her breathing. She looked around her, the whole house was neat, the floor could even pass as a bed, but the broken pitcher on the kitchen floor—she needed to clean it up before Sunghoon felt his thirst. So as fast as her beaten bruised body could do, she grabbed all the shards on the floor, hastily picking every piece of glass—she needed to hurry because probably in no time, he might wake up from the loud noise her chest was making…Y/n can see red. She needs to clean it up. But the glass. Clean the glasses first then clean the red on the floor, clean the red on her hands, clean her shaking hands, clean her wobbly feet, clean her shivering body. She could not breathe, she could barely see the shards she was picking. If only she could turn it all back and never loved him—never married him.
Y/n tapped her screen to turn off the alarm. 6:04. Pulling herself from the couch, she heaved a sigh. An hour from now, Sunghoon will be awake for work. Y/n wasted no more seconds and went to the kitchen, rinsed white rice then proceeded to turn on the rice cooker, broke an egg, cut a sausage in half, and threw it on the hot oiled pan. Y/n can barely feel the cuts on her palms, and can hardly complain about the throbbing of her body.
The sound of pouring water, and the burning of the wounds and bruises all around Y/n’s body made her wince in pain. If only the water were quiet whenever it hit the bathroom floor, and if only the pain in her back never made her make such a sound. She’s afraid he’ll wake up and hurt her again.
_______
She heard the shower open and the door slammed closed. 6:57. That fast? Pouring water into the kettle, she hastily put two scoops of tea into the teapot. 7:06. He should be putting on clothes now and should be done in a moment. Y/n put a plate on the table as neatly as possible, took a pair of chopsticks, and took Sunghoon’s favorite seasoning from the cabinet.
Sunghoon didn’t say a word as he pulled the chair and sat down soundlessly. Y/n put a half teaspoon of nutmeg into his rice, poured the boiling water into the teapot, and served her peaceful husband a cup of tea.
They stayed quiet as Y/n cut three carrots, while Sunghoon eat his meal. Y/n can still remember the night they first met, the jobs that made them so close, and the whole moment of their wedding. Now Y/n could only wait for him to leave so she could sleep at least just for an hour.
“Karin will be eating dinner with me.” Sunghoon will not be home until tomorrow afternoon. Y/n could sleep a day, or at least walk Gauel to the park later or tomorrow morning. But Sunghoon must not see her slacking off. He doesn't like it when she rest.
After Sunghoon put down his utensils and stood up, Y/n ran to fetch a coat for him and grabbed his things while she waited for him by the door. She held the coat wide for him to wear and gave him his things, held the door open until he stepped outside their apartment.
“Come back safely.” Sunghoon went on his way without answering—like usual—and Y/n locked the door once he was out of sight.
Park Sunghoon is a former idol and is currently big in the modeling industry. Eleven years ago when he started his modeling, after a year of being a minor model, he became a Vogue cover, went to different countries, endorsed, modeled, and walked through the runway with different luxury brands. In the years of his success, there he met Lee Y/n. Y/n was Sunghoon’s makeup artist for seven years, and she’s the sister of one of his friends Lee Heeseung. There were times and events when Y/n and Sunghoon interacted outside of work because of their connection with Lee Heeseung. Time passed. They fell in love and dated for four years.
_____
Sunghoon was the sweetest when they dated. Always checking on her, asking for what she thinks, and what she likes. He’d take care of her when she was unable to take care of herself. He’d act like a child just to get her attention. She always felt like the most significant person in the world. The most important person to him. She didn’t know what happened.
The feeling of knocking loudly on the hard tiled floor, and the feeling of feeling nothing at all—Park Sunghoon lifted himself from laying, then eventually felt warm hands on his shoulders and back, guiding him on the pillow to lean on his back, then he slap the hands away.
The last thing Sunghoon remembered was that he was feeling sick, then suddenly lost consciousness, unable to register what was happening around him, then eventually knocked himself down while on shoot.
“I was worried—”
“You did this, didn’t you?” Voice lashed with cold, he looked up at Y/n who met his eyes.
“Did what...?”
He couldn’t believe her. How could she act all innocent? Was she jealous of Karin that’s why she did this. Was she mad at him because of what happened last time with their date? Just what is wrong with her?
Y/n creased a confused face. She thought he liked it when she added a little nutmeg on his rice. What is it this time? Y/n truly is getting tired.
“Put nutmeg on my food every single meal.” His face was solid rock. His brows met each other while his jaw clench hard.
“You—you said you liked it when I add nutmeg into your rice?” She whispered as she held her hands tightly below her, preventing them from shaking.
“We’ll talk later at home.” Sunghoon managed to say on gritted teeth, while Y/n swallowed whatever she could swallow.
Was it her fault again? She didn’t know why he fainted, the doctor didn’t say anything to her, all she knew was that he fainted while on the shoot...but she wished he’d not hurt her, she wished he’d just forget whatever her sin was, she would gladly apologies to him—kneel and beg for forgiveness, ask for him not to give her another cut and bruise to fix and cover.
Sunghoon slowly pushed himself off the bed, and as he stood up, he couldn’t help but wince in pain, slowly, he put his hand on his temples. Y/n called out to him, helping him to sit down again.
“I’m sorry, Sunghoon—wha—whatever happened, I’m very sorry, I didn’t mean it. Please, if you could ever give me time to make it up—please forgive me—”
“SHUT UP!” Y/n didn’t cry because he slapped her hands away, it was his unforgiving voice that startled at her. She could feel her throat clench.
Slowly and gently, she tried to catch Sunghoon’s hands. He didn’t resist nor slap her hands away this time, but Y/n could feel his hard fist.
_____
“Let’s go home.” Y/n followed quietly.
Park Sunghoon once complimented Lee Y/n’s cooking when they were still mare acquaintances. It was a normal Monday at work and Y/n always packed her lunch, and unexpectedly, Park Sunghoon came up to her to eat lunch together. Sunghoon liked the rice…the rice had nutmeg at that time.
Earlier at 8:21 at work, Sunghoon felt weird sensations in the pit of his stomach, while his surroundings danced around him. It wasn’t the first time it happened at work, and it wasn’t the first time that it happened anywhere. There are times when he constantly feels nauseous while having severe headaches, while everything around him seems to change shapes. He thought it was his overworking.
The last thing Sunghoon heard was ringing and Karin’s soft voice called over him and then he passed out. He woke up lying in the hospital bed with a doctor hovering over him. The doctor said that his constant nausea and hallucinations were the effect of digesting too much nutmeg, and the only one making his meal was his wife. It was always ordered food whenever he and Karin had meals.
Back at home, Y/n and Sunghoon sat still on the couch. Y/n’s looking at her trembling hands as Sunghoon stare at her with gritted teeth. Y/n whispered out trying to break the silence.
“You—You once told me you liked rice with nutmeg—” A loud bang cut through her words. Sunghoon smashed the wooden table separating them, as Y/n tried to cover her mouth, swallowing her cries.
“Y/n.” Sunghoon called out. But Y/n couldn’t look him in the eyes, her line of view could only register his clenching fist on the table through tear eyed sight.
“I’ve been feeling sick—I thought I was dying!” He raised his voice, she made a whimper.
“I’ve been blaming my work! And it’s all because you! You were trying to kill me—you tried to kill me, Y/n!” finally she looked him in the eye shaking her head.
“No—no, Sunghoon that’s not—” Y/n extended her arms to hold him by the table as she lifted herself up from sitting, but he raised his hand high above her, then she lay still on the floor, staring at the tiled ground with tears swelling her eyes. She couldn’t help it anymore, the whole apartment echoed her loud cries. Then, in a second the bedroom door slammed closed, and she was left alone with her silent whimpers.
She didn’t mean it, she only wants his approval, his acknowledgement; she only wanted Sunghoon to eat with her at dinner instead of spending all his night with Karin. She only wanted him to return and be the man she loved once.
Y/n wasn’t ignorant about the effect of too much nutmeg, that’s why she only added a little every meal. But when Sunghoon started to eat dinner with Karin and come back home late, and sometimes not returning home at all—Y/n took the opportunity to add a half tea spoon of nutmeg into his every breakfast. A part of Y/n knew that she added nutmeg with ill intent. While most part wants him to acknowledge and notice her. Then, it really was her fault…
After lunch earlier, when her phone rang with an unknown caller ID and told her the news of her husband passing out, she immediately put down Gauel and rushed to the hospital. When she arrived, the doctor only told her that he already woke up last hour, and eventually returned back to sleep. Then the doctor said nothing more.
When Sunghoon woke up and told her about the nutmeg, she was shaken, she thought she could kill herself for being the one who caused danger to her husband—now, she could only swallow her cries when he lifted his fist and broke from her touch. He hit her face strong enough to send her frozen on the floor.
Whenever Sunghoon is angry, often at her, Y/n slept at the spare room while Sunghoon locked himself alone in their bedroom. The first time they had a fight, Sunghoon told her that he wanted to be alone and slept at the spare room. But to Y/n’s conscience, she begged Sunghoon to sleep at their room instead since it’s much comfortable there than sleeping on the dusted bed at the spare room. Now, whenever Sunghoon’s mad at her, Sunghoon would locked himself alone in their room, with her no way of getting inside. She often felt like he already abandoned her, but he also needed a slave to take care of him, that’s why until now Sunghoon haven’t chased her out.
Like the usual, Y/n would get up at 5-6 am to prepare his meal, then see him off at the door. But today, after arranging his breakfast at the table, Sunghoon spared her no glance and went out without telling her a word. He doesn’t want to eat. He doesn’t trust her.
So Y/n sat down and ate his meal instead. Seconds passed and her head’s already flooded with thoughts. Minutes passed and her thoughts made her burst out crying.
Why did everything turned out to be like this? Why did he turned out to be like this? Is he still Sunghoon? The one she loved? Or was this someone else? It must have been his façade. He must’ve tricked her, and she fell in love with the idea of him without actually knowing him. It was all her fault was it? Should she die and end everything with her last breath? Or should he die and free herself?
Y/n spent her all morning thinking of ways to get rid of her pains, until Gauel barked at her to snap out of it. She saw Park Sunghoon in red just then. She slapped herself for the ridicule she’s been thinking and proceeded to do her chores.
Late that evening, she baked tiramisu—Sunghoon’s favorite—and cooked galbi jjim with other various dishes, also opened a bottle of soju, and message him at 6:03, apologizing and wishing him home, telling him she cooked his favorite and she didn’t add nutmeg in any of the dishes nor the rice.
8:37. Y/n had already set up the table and the dishes, and somewhere between 8-9, Sunghoon will be home. So she patiently readied herself sitting on the chair, checked her phone if he had already replied, but unfortunately, he left her on read. Well, at least he read. He knows she’s making all the efforts to apologize. Y/n let out a sigh and wished that he’d show up.
11:21. All the dishes had already run cold. Y/n was broken from her trance when Gauel approached her and barked. Her phone rang. it was Sunghoon’s caller ID.
“Oh!” It was a girl’s giggle with mumblings over the background.
“Uhm, who is this?”
“Y/n!” Y/n recognized the voice, it was her old coworker’s voice, before she resigned and married Sunghoon. It was Karin’s. Y/n couldn’t help but swallowed the lumps forming on her throat.
“Su—Sunghoon won’t be home for a while…” Karin’s voice was sloppy and uneven. She must be drunk.
“Why? Did something happen?”
“What? Of course not! Silly Y/n—” She hiccupped. “Just wanted to tell you Sunghoon’s unavailable to see you for dinner tonight.” Low grunts from the background made Y/n’s shoulder shiver.
“Why are you telling me this, where is he?” Y/n’s voice must’ve been shacking, she could feel her throat and chest throbbing.
“Hmm? What is it?” seconds of pause and Karin laughed on the other line.
“Sunghoon’s asleep honey! Bye~”
“wait! Kari—” Karin’s voice was replaced with ringing. Y/n slowly put the phone down, stood up and entered their bedroom, leaving the dishes cold on the table. Sunghoon’s probably drunk with Karin, doing who knows what…Y/n couldn’t take it anymore.
Sunghoon didn’t mean to not return home after three whole days…he just wanted a time alone and free himself from stress; it’s just that, Y/n has been giving her head ache for these past few days, and he wanted to clear his head, though Karin has been with him throughout those past three days.
Sunghoon slowly turned the knob. The whole apartment is pitch black, while there was an unpleasant smell lingers the air. Sunghoon ran and turned the lights open. There, at the table lays bowls, plates, and cups of rotten dishes. Sunghoon registered the decaying smell of gochujang and the smell close to a dead rat. In instinct he put his arms on his mouth and nose. What the hell is this? Where is Y/n?
Sunghoon wasted no more time and burst the bedroom door open and turned on the lights. No sign of his wife. He then strode to the bathroom door, pushed the curtains away, and no one’s there. He checked the spare room, checked the roof deck, checked the longue again, shuffled through Y/n’s dresser and closet. Her stuff is still there.
Y/n must’ve left since the night she last messaged him about the meal she made…she was apologizing to him, and he was with Karin. He remembered there were a time that night when Karin borrowed his phone and called someone. Was it Y/n? Sunghoon roughly shuffled his hair, scratched his palms, massaged his temples. Karin must’ve said something to Y/n. As far as he could remember, Karin drove him to the hotel he stayed at, then stopped in the middle of the road to borrow his phone, then when he’s inside the hotel room, he locked the door and said goodbyes to Karin. That’s all that happened that night…
Sunghoon grabbed his coat, turned off the lights and went outside. He needs to find Y/n. He must’ve been hard on her. Just what the hell did Park Sunghoon do?
Sunghoon felt the cold wind brush through his hair once he went down the apartment stairs, and now he stands alone in the roads. With his messy and scattered thoughts, the muffled screams of vehicle horns, yells of the drivers ahead of him, and the sound of his far distance apologies—he ran his eyes around him, he didn’t care if he’s in the middle of the road, but he’ll find his wife. He needed to find his wife.
To no avail, Park Sunghoon never had any trace of her. Slowly, with no energy left from his body, he opened the door and slam it close behind him. Something lunged at him...then burning and chocking—he could not breath. Sunghoon held the belt around his throat. With all his strength, he tried to lift up the person behind him as his sight blur while his breathing shortens, and a loud weight hitting the floor made his lungs finally grasps for air. Park Sunghoon stared at his wife slowly lifting herself up from the floor. Is he seeing this right? Y/n—Y/n…she—Y/n. His Y/n was trying to kill him…
Sunghoon couldn’t move on his feet. His eyes are wide open, his breathings are accelerating and accelerating until a quiet shriek left his mouth. His whole body was frozen when his wife lifted her head up to look at him. Tears flooded her eyes as she slowly stands up. Her whole body was shaking, and her loud cries filled Sunghoon’s hearing. Y/n lunge at him, running, tackling him down on the floor, Sunghoon held her wrist as she pushed her whole strength into the knife she’s holding. Sunghoon called out her name, but her cries only got louder and louder until his grip on her loosen. One, two, three...six—she stabbed and stab and stab. Sunghoon stared at his lovely wife. Her hair loose on their tight bun, he badly wants to hug her on her pink blooded apron she always wore whenever she cooks him meal. Slowly and gently, Park Sunghoon touched her wet cheeks. Little by little, her skin turned red as he kept on caressing her softly. Y/n screamed her pain and Sunghoon could only smile at her, because now he understands, he wasn’t able to be a good husband for her.
“I’m sorry,”
With the last of his strength, and the last burning of his breath, he held her hands tightly, and closed his eyes. Y/n lifted an axe.
The first time Park Sunghoon saw her was at Lee Heeseung’s 20th birthday, back in the times they were newly debut. She wore a ridiculous ankle pink boots and a twin messy braid. He remembered Heeseung and her argued about Heeseung not informing her that his friends will come, she should’ve wore something decent. But Park Sunghoon loved that outfit. That’s the outfit he always loved.
The taste of sweet, salty and savory erected at Y/n’s tongue. The sensation of chewy and juicy flooded her mouth, and when she swallowed, a great feeling of longing, sorrow and grief left her body weak. The body-less of Park Sunghoon’s head stare at Park Y/n as she opened her mouth, bringing a spoon full of his love for her to digest.
It was snowing hard outside when they first met at work. Y/n was newly hired as Sunghoon’s makeup artist. She remembered his soft smile that burned her cheeks, she remembered when Sunghoon first asked her out, she remembered when he first kissed her, she remembered his heat all over her—not like this, cold and still.

Chapter 2
Hot Mess, Cobra Starships
“You think you’re hot shit,
—Well you’re a hot mess and I’m falling for you
And I’m like hot damn, let me make you my boo,”
The ninth week of class ended quickly enough. Two days a week you had both lecture and lab, four times a week you had to see Abby and talk to her. Abby’s not bad, actually she’s cool and it’s getting harder to forget your attraction for the buff blonde. One thing she does is always text you first, and you always try to text back, but sometimes you don’t know what to say.
Your phone pinged from its spot on your bed. Pulling on your sweatshirt, you turned to grab your phone. Sitting, you hoped it was a text from your friend group cancelling plans last minute. Yet, your hopes never came to fruition, as it was your friend, Tatum, telling you she was here to pick you and your roommate up.
Exiting your room, you saw Max putting his shoes on, “You ready?” You asked and he nodded.
In the car your phone pinged once again. You were in the passengers’ seat of Tatum’s Prius. Bailey, Tatum’s roommate, and Max were in the back seat. You picked your phone up from your lap and saw a message from Abby.
From Abby (Chad)
Do you have plans tonight?
To Abby
Sadly, yes. Can’t stay home forever unfortunately.
From Abby (Chad)
Rough.
“We’re here,” Tatum stated, causing you to put your phone away.
The bowling alley was packed, which made sense since it was a Friday night. Your group managed to get an alley with a table, and all four of you were able to grab preferred bowling balls. Half-way through the first game a group came in and was able to grab the lane next to yours. They grabbed the corresponding table as well and a certain blonde braid caught your eye.
Abby and her friends were at that table. It seemed that she hadn't seen you yet, so you turned back to your table, back now facing Abby and her group. You secretly hoped that she would see you, that she would reach out first. But there was no reason to, she was with her friends.
“Oh,” Tatum pops up, looking at her phone, “Our pizza’s done.”
“I’ll go with, I want a drink,” You state, getting up with her. You followed her to grab the pizza, Tatum paying for it and you paying for an 8 oz Red Bull can.
On your way back, you passed Abby’s table. A voice caused you and Tatum to stop walking, just a few feet away from your group.
“Those are bad for you, you know,” Said a pasty man with a slightly grown out blond buzz cut. His eyes screamed with a sense of superiority, arm hanging off the back of his chair. A second after his claim, you met eyes with Abby. Her blue eyes widened, recognizing who her friend was talking to.
“Owen-” She came to your defense but you held your hand up.
Opening the Red Bull can, you took one hand and flipped Owen off. The other hand that was holding the Red Bull tipped the can back onto your lips, and you then proceeded to chug the contents of the bubbly energy drink. The drink burned your throat, but you kept going until there was nothing left in the can. When you finished, you took the hand that was flipping Owen off and burped behind it with a smirk.
Owen looked horrified, maybe even disgusted. You didn’t care, leaning down to look him in the eyes. “You know, Owen was it?” You ask, taking on a mocking tone to your voice. “Your mom seems to like it when I have enough energy to fuck her more than once.” His face morphed into genuine disgust, probably at the thought of you possibly screwing his mom. You kind of hoped that she was hot, making it more plausible in his mind that it could happen.
Rising to your original height you put a hand on Tatum’s shoulder, “I’d love to stay and get to know you, maybe I’ll see you at Thanksgiving with your mother.” Turning, you directed a frozen Tatum back to your groups table. Tatum placed the pizza on the table, you placing your can on the table as well so you could open the box.
“Stop gawking like hungry birds and grab a slice,” You say, looking up from the pizza to your friends. The only one who wasn’t that shocked was Max, who was your childhood best friend. He knew you more than virtually anyone else, knowing that what you did was an act of defiance. You were a ‘brat’, as he put it, and you didn’t mind because it caused people that you didn’t like to not talk to you anymore. Sometimes it was amusing, watching people try to figure out what you meant.
Everything went back to normal after you handed out plates of pizza, the game ensuing and Max winning with two strikes at the end. You weren’t particularly good at bowling, having rarely done it, but you found it amusing and it was a nice way to hang out with your friends without having to go to a rowdy club.
Someone had to say something at one point, and that someone was Tatum. “That was cool,” She said, looking at you, “What you did back there.”
“Yeah,” Bailey agreed, coming back from bowling first at the start of the second game. “Badass,” She took her seat.
Max shook his head, laughing. “She’s a brat, what she did there was brat energy.”
“I may be a brat but it works,” You defend yourself, glaring playfully at your friend.
“Either way,” Bailey shrugged, waving Max off. “It was by far a big ‘fuck you’ moment and I’m living for it.”
For the rest of the bight, your anxiety ate away at you. Owen was clearly Abby’s friend, hence them sitting at the same table. But Abby seemed to try to defend you, but you also now have to face her on Tuesday, and if Abby didn’t like you anymore, it would be super awkward. These thoughts plagued you, swarming in circles in your mind. Your knee was bouncing, you only conscious of it when it hit the underside of the table. Maybe you shouldn’t have chugged the Red Bull, maybe a sip was better.
Your phone buzzed on the table, your hand subconsciously already going to grab it. Opening the phone you saw that Abby texted you. What could it be? Maybe she wanted to change to a different partner. It wouldn’t be too late, she could change and you could do it alone. But it wasn’t any of that.
From Abby (Chad)
You good?
To Abby (Chad)
Yeah, why?
From Abby (Chad)
You’re not good at hiding your anxiety
This caused you to turn around in your chair, looking towards Abby. She was already looking at you, not so discreetly. Owen had changed to sit at a different part of the table, glaring towards you every once and a while. Abby though, had concern written on her face. You turned back around, responding.
To Abby (Chad)
Wasn’t trying to hide it, thought out was obvious, Chad
From Abby (Chad) Chaderson
Why Chad?
To Abby (Chad) Chaderson
Pay me for an answer
Abby didn’t reply right away. Which was fine because it was your turn to bowl. After your turn, you looked at Abby and saw her getting up to bowl. You sat down and grabbed your phone, noticing a message from Abby.
From Abby (Chad)
With what?
To Abby (Chad)
The shoulds a million children
Abby must have been done bowling, since there was a huff from the table behind you. This caused you to smirk, putting your phone down to focus on the last round of the second game.
That next Tuesday came by quickly. Abby’s been texting you more often, usually sliding away from the topic of the project every time. You didn’t mind, actually liking the conversations.
From Abby (Chad)
Weird question
Frowning, you stared at the text message. You were sitting on your dorm room’s couch, playing a video game.
To Abby
Yeah?
From Abby
Could I come over so we can work on the project?
Puzzled, you lightly bit your nail. Everything was going fine, having had classes on Tuesday and Thursday, you guys were actually right on track. Maybe she wanted to get it done early, so you typed back a yes with your dorm room number and building name attached.
From Abby
Sweet, be there soon
You kept playing your video game, although now distracted. Max wasn’t home, so you and your crush will be alone. Alone together, for God knows how long. Your stomach started feeling heavy as you paused your game, entering the war of thoughts in your mind.
Time must have gone by quicker than you thought, a knock being heard from the front door. Letting out a captured sigh, you stood up and approached the door.
Grasping the cold door handle, you open it to see the blonde that haunted your thoughts. She was wearing a maroon hoodie with black joggers, her hair in a low ponytail. A goofy grin adorned her face, eyes lighting up when they met yours.
“Hey,” You greet, stepping aside to let her in.
Abby walked in, allowing you to close the door behind her, “Hey.” She turned to watch as you walked over to the couch, gesturing to the coffee table.
“You can set your backpack on the table,” You state, taking your original seat on the couch.
Abby set her backpack down, sitting beside you. She was close, not terribly, but enough for it to not be normal.
“You like Detroit: Become Human?” Abby asks, causing you to look at her confused. She smiled at your reaction, nodding to the tv.
“I actually play a few different games, but this is my roommate's PS4,” You explain, pointing to the box full of games placed by the tv stand. “Those have both of our games, my PlayStations in my room. Do you play any games?” You ask, turning to look at her. She was close, too close for it to be normal. You flinched back at her proximity, she looked you in the eyes, her gaze going down to your lips then back up to your eyes slowly.
Before anything else could happen your dorm room door opened, someone slamming it behind them.
You peered past Abby, seeing that it was Tatum. Tatum was calling your name, all frustrated. She didn’t seem to know Abby was here, the blonde calling you a ‘useless lesbian.’ Realization dawned on her face when she noticed Abby sitting beside you, her body somewhat hiding your own from Tatum’s stare.
“Oh, um,” Tatum blushed, rubbing the back of her head.
Rolling your eyes, you leaned onto your knees, “I’d like to say I have many uses as a lesbian.”
Tatum seemed frozen, “I didn’t know you had anyone over.” She was bright red, you took in her skimpy outfit. She must have been on a Tinder date, trying to blow off steam. It must not have gone as planned.
“I’m guessing you didn’t get laid?” Abby looked at you, confused with your blatant question towards your friend. You didn’t look back, instead watching Tatum walk over.
“Yeah.”
“Thought so, Tatum,” You gestured to Abby, “This is my lab partner, Abby.” Abby nodded to Tatum, giving a small wave.
Tatum then smirked, looking at you with a suggestive look, “Were you-”
“Do you want a drink? Let me show you the new pop Max got,” You stood up quickly, walking over to grab Tatum’s arm. Directing her to the kitchen, you turn and whisper, “She’s just a friend.”
“I’m sorry, it didn’t seem like it,” Tatum wiggled her brows, she then turned serious, “Do you want me to leave?”
You shook your head, “I don’t want to do school work, so you should definitely stay and distract us.”
“It didn’t look like you were doing school work.”
“Shut up.”
For the next couple hours, you, Tatum, and Abby talked while you played through Detroit: Become Human. Abby and Tatum seemed to click, which was great. But as you played, you tuned Tatum and Abby out. Tatum outed you as a lesbian to Abby, which could be in your favor, hence your budding crush on the buff blonde. She may get the hint. Abby’s also showing interest, she may have kissed you if Tatum didn’t barge in. Would you have kissed her back? Did you want her to kiss you? It’s not like you had much experience in dating, your first ever girlfriend breaking up with you as soon as school started. It wasn’t even that big of a deal, only having kissed each other a few times.
You lacked experience, but Abby seemed patient. Hopefully she isn’t even thinking about how much experience you could possibly have in dating.
“Well, I should leave so you two can get back to your project,” Tatum said, standing from her seat next to the couch. Her declaration caught your attention, causing you to pause your game.
“Have a good day,” You smile as she puts her shoes on at the door.
“It was nice meeting you,” Abby waved as Tatum waved back, closing the door behind her.
And here it was, you were alone again with Abby. She turned to you, cocking her head. “Do you want to work on the project?” She asked.
You frowned, shaking your head. “I’d rather play video games.”
Abby smiled lightly, going to grab her backpack. You grabbed her wrist, causing her to look down at you, “I have another controller.”
“Yeah?”
“And Mario Kart.”
“Compelling argument, I’m in.”
