#Fact - Muslims are advised to be as charitable as able throughout the year this is acts of generosity and kindness. The teaching goes the more generous you are and give more will come back to you. Giving charity is seen as a type of worship in itself, kind of a self-purification. However there is the charity in Islam known as #zakaat. It is one of the 5 pillars in Islam alongside fasting in Ramadan, declaration of faith, 5 time prayer and pilgrimage. It is regarded as a type of worship and of self-purification. In the holy month of #Ramadan a Muslim donates 2.5% of their wealth to benefit the poor. There is a teaching that states, if every man paid the correct amount in their zakaat each year there would be no one left hungry.
